Michelle DeLorenzo: So silly me for being like really excited for some reason to have a layover in Frankfurt, Germany, not having any idea just how bad of a reputation that airport has. I'm like, yeah, I get to be in Germany. I get to get a German stamp on my passport. ⁓ well, I was after three hours hysterical crying, having a massive panic attack, trying to get through this airport. So when I get off my flight, I so Frankfurt to Milan. Get off my flight. The flight there, amazing. They put me in business class. My first time ever being in business class. I felt like a pampered queen. My I was full. I was drunk because there was so much wine from the second I got on. but so I get off the plane and they're immediately like, get on this line. I'm like, Okay, like, but is this is this where I need to go? They're like, You're gate A, everybody gate A, this line. Go scan your passport, then get on this line. Okay. I scan my passport. I go to look. The line is like halfway down the terminal. There are legitimately hundreds of people on this line. Now I have two hours to get to my next flight. I'm like, ⁓ shit, like, is this gonna move? So I finally get to the end of the line and I'm waiting, waiting, waiting. About two hours go by and I finally get to almost the front. Made friends with another New Yorker online. Lovely time. Only to realize that these motherfuckers told me to get on the wrong line and it was only A1 through 40, and I was A69 and had to fucking haul ass all the way back to the other side of the airport, only to then get on another massive line and officially miss my flight. Finally get through. Everything's fine. Get my stamp on my passport. And I'm like, okay, where do I go? To now change my flight because I've missed my flight. Of course, it's at this point like four o'clock in the morning in New York, so I can't contact the people who booked my flight, nothing. And I'm walking, they're like, ⁓ just go upstairs. Okay. Where upstairs? Go upstairs to the right. Great. Go upstairs to the right. I find a lounge. They're ⁓ no, this is not where you go. You have to go up one more floor. Okay. This happened like five times. And I'm at this point. Hysterical crying in front of a bunch of stone faced Germans who are just like, I don't just you just need to go upstairs. Like, Jesus Christ, somebody just fucking tell me. So I finally get to the right place, ⁓ which was two floors up and in the complete opposite direction, and got a flight out in two hours. ⁓ and I made it. Josh: Why are you Americans so emotional? Michelle DeLorenzo: I made it to Milan and somehow found the energy to shower and then immediately go out and go shopping. So it was a journey and a half, but I got there. Josh: For those yeah for the uninitiated, ⁓ Frankfurt and Charles de Gaulle in Paris have like the worst reputation for connections in Europe. I always tried to go through Schipel in Amsterdam or London. Michelle DeLorenzo: Holy shit, man. But, you know, it didn't it didn't set the tone for the weekend. So for the week I mean, so it was good. It was good. Josh: Yeah, so Missy is getting back from exhaust. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. It was really exciting. So I had set this goal for myself last year and like a completely delusional I'm gonna go to Essence and I'm gonna have a brand sponsor me to go to Essence. And I it didn't happen last year. And totally okay. Last year was a complete clusterfuck of a year. And I didn't think it was gonna happen this year either, but the ITA ⁓ had come into stealth and was really interested in send sending somebody as a representative to Essence to explore explore, you know, Italian brands. And I spoke to the guys and I'm like, guys, like you really should do this. And they're like, we don't want to go. You want to go? I was like, ⁓ yeah, yeah, sure. I'll do that for you guys. Don't worry. Yeah. So it took ⁓ it took like a month to get confirmation. And then from that point it was just like go, go, go. So they Josh: Got it. Michelle DeLorenzo: I went for three days. They flew me there and back, put me up in a hotel. It was amazing. ⁓ but it was it was really a dream come true because it's not I I definitely don't have the large following that a lot of the content creators that get these opportunities ⁓ have. So to have reached this goal and to not only be there, you know, f in general, but to be there as a representative for my store and really just felt like like finally like this is this is finally starting to to click for me. So it was a really surreal moment for me. And I have to say, like now coming back and being back at my nine to five, I'm like, fuck. I don't want to do this anymore. Ugh. Josh: Yeah, I remember Friday before you left. You were like, ⁓ I'm trying to get everything ready. I'm trying to make sure nobody needs me And I'm like, Let them need you. This is your week. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. ⁓ and they needed me. I came back to an absolute fucking disaster. But I told them all, like, don't don't text me. Don't don't text me. Don't email me. I won't see it. Josh: But well well deserved. Yeah. Well deserved. ⁓ you've been working you've you've put in the work. I'm so happy that you gotta go. Michelle DeLorenzo: Think you. Josh: I think before we dive into like what the show was like, ⁓ maybe even do like some comparison since you've been to Scent Explorer and fumed, maybe give some people some context. Michelle DeLorenzo: so Essence is largest fragrance ⁓ convention in the world the moment. And it's, I would say the space was comparable, not quite as large ⁓ as the Java Center New York, but also not significantly smaller. I believe there was ⁓ over 400 brands that there. ⁓ And it ⁓ It's incredibly overwhelming. I will say that the space itself is really well organized. The there was no lines to wait on. You were in and out. It was really just like a very well-oiled machine. there were cafes on the floor, outside the floor. It was really definitely like it felt quite corporate, but also really organized, I'll say. ⁓ you know, in comparison to to Cent Explorer, ScentExplor is really I think they're still growing and I think they're still working out the kinks for something that size. It's not n even nearly as large. But it's also, I mean, you know, comparable cities, New York and Milan as far as size and and price and But it's also, I think, the time of the year. I think June in in Milan, or would they used to have it in February Milan, much more approachable time of year than December, November in New York City. So I think I definitely think timing was on their side. You know, it's beautiful out. It's it's great for there was so many things happening around the convention itself that it there was really I was there for two full days. At the convention, and I didn't even see half of what I needed to see. That would be my only critique as far as like, you know, being sent there. Like, I can't, I needed to meet with 20 Italian brands while I was there. It was very difficult to get to 20 brands in total the entire time. So that was that's the only negative in that aspect. ⁓ you know, I mean, I I can't even compare it to fumed because it's just The types of brands that are there, you really have to search for the indie artisanal when you're there. It's mostly very large, very large entities with some options for some smaller brands. So I'll say there was huge booths and then there was tiny booths. So I like that they were able to host both kinds of brands in the same space. And then across the street at the hotel, there was even smaller, more artisanal brands. Josh: Mm-hmm. Michelle DeLorenzo: quite a lot of brands that we already carry. So it was really nice to connect face to face with these people that I've, you know, I've chatted with online. I've sold, you know, so many units of their products. It was great to get to know them and it makes me feel really more connected to them and more connected to the brands. The key major difference between Essence and S and Scent Explore. Is Essence is 100% B2B? It's business to business. They are not selling product at this event. It is not really an influencer event, although they did have influencer passes. Where, so you if you're speaking with a brand and you're speaking to them either as a distributor or a retailer or you know a PR firm or whatever whatever it is, any any aspect of business. You're not going there to purchase the bottle. So if you're interested in working with them, they will give you samples and you know, they will also give you full-size bottles, of which I came home with many. I can't talk about all of them yet because we might be bringing some of them into the store. So I will definitely the things that I found most interesting are I can't tell you, but we'll we'll talk soon. so where ScentExplore is a hundred percent a shopping event. Josh: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Michelle DeLorenzo: Fumed as well, 100% a shopping event. So I think people saw influencer experiences at Essence and assumed that ScentExplore would be similar, and assumed that they would go there and easily be able to just get free bottles. And that's it's not the intention of that, of that business whatsoever. It's Scent Explore is like business to business, influencer, and shopping. Josh: And then obviously we we don't have a point of reference to compare it to Polaris, ⁓ because we have not yet yet ⁓ it ⁓ Polaris. ⁓ ⁓ that's cool. I d I also didn't know it was B2B, but that does make sense for the way I understand it to have been structured. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yet. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I think the major difference this year, and I think I was I was nervous because I've seen videos of it being very influencer heavy in the past. And like I've seen these like these like horror movie edits of like all the frag bros around like just spraying in the air all together and like, you know, a a whole boys' club. And I'm like, ⁓ god, like this is gonna be overwhelming and it's gonna smell horrendous and ⁓ but they had actually scaled back their influencer program significantly this year. I from what I understand for people who applied, it was a little bit difficult to understand what the criteria was. I didn't go through that, so I'm not entirely sure. But ⁓ I think it's not a bad decision because I think the there were certainly I think the brands there that are. I don't I don't want to say this in a derogatory way, but there are the Broy brands. There are the, you know, the Amber Max brands, the brands that have significant funding. But I don't think that was the I I think that's just the market that they're selling to, right? I think they think that's what's selling. So some of their brands build their whole identity around that. But I think there were some really beautiful options for people who have different taste. And I'm not saying that that taste is wrong, that you're wrong for liking that. Yes, I am. But it was good to have, you know, really different options as well. Josh: Yeah. I know ⁓ some of the the pictures that I saw, like the the group of and it might just be the side of social media that we're on, but like the group of people that were the influencer crowd that were there are people that come to fragrance in a very like educational, experiential, artistic way and not a product hawking QVC online format. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Like I think the biggest influencer that was there was Fumi. And I got to meet with her and chat with her just, you know, briefly. But, you know, she's somebody who I think we have very different taste in fragrance, but I really respect what she does and and how she presents fragrance and you know what she's done for the community. So it was really great to see her as like center stage in that sense. Josh: Yeah, I mean also kind of one of the founders of fragrance talk as it is. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. Like she she should be the one that's at your event. She should be the one that that's being featured all the time. And she actually has a ⁓ a line coming out with Sephora, I think later this year. ⁓ yeah, that she is working on with our friend Yosh. Josh: Well, we need to schedule a specific episode. That sounds super fun. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm really like if there's anybody who can make me excited for a Sephora launch, it's Fumi. And Yosh, yeah. So I'm like, what a dream duo. Josh: And Yosh, yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: also got to meet the the very controversial ⁓ TikToker. I got to meet Sense, who ⁓ was amazing. ⁓ What a sweetie pie. Josh: Yeah, I mean I think I don't have anything against Milan sense. I don't think you listen, but if you do, hey, shout out. but yeah, I do there are a lot of people that are very polarized by the mask and by the style and the aesthetic that he goes for. ⁓ but credit where it's due, I mean the he knows fragrance in and out. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. I think, you know, critique aside of of what you think about his his style, but I think he's one of the only influencers at the moment that is strictly talking about niche and indie that has gotten to, you know, that level of following. It's very difficult to grow on TikTok, especially when you're talking about the artistic niche and indie stuff, because it's it's not It's not mass appealing, right? And that's that's okay. That's what we're into. ⁓ so I think it's what he's doing is working and it's drawing people in. And, you know, I think it's a good thing that lots of people are getting to learn about these obscure houses because of his videos. Josh: Yeah, absolutely. ⁓ and then, you know, just some of our personal internet friends. You got to meet in person. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. I was so excited to meet Riot Sands and to meet Ollie. We had dinner twice while I was there. ⁓ just amazing to connect with people who, you know, weren't we're completely across the world from each other, but you know, have so much in common and you know, just like it felt like hanging out with old friends. Josh: I that. I mean, I enjoyed ⁓ being to do that at Fumed. ⁓ so I imagined going across ⁓ I that was like when I got to meet Kat ⁓ of Mythology ⁓ while I was in London. ⁓ we sat down for tea and it was immediately like hanging out with an old friend. It was really great. So obviously you were there for work for for outside the fragrance files, but Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, it's a great feeling. Yeah. Josh: Is there anything there that you want to or can talk about? You know, interesting brands or fragrances you got? Michelle DeLorenzo: there are a few things I can talk about. so I got to sit down and chit-chat. This is a brand that we already carry, but I got to sit down with Sarah Baker. ⁓ and you know, just talk shop a little bit about distribution in the US and how incredibly difficult it is shipping right now. ⁓ she so lovingly gave me a hundred ml bottle of Vava vanilla because I told her this one was my favorite. And this was done by I I cannot pronounce her her last name, but I what I love about Sarah Baker is that she when she is not the perfumer, she puts the perfumer on the bott bottle. ⁓ and we've talked about her before. This is one of the indie perfumers that I love Margot, but Margo, I think, does a ⁓ really interesting vanilla. We have quite a few of her fragrances in the store. ⁓ and I think her and Sarah Baker just do really incredible work together. Got to vote ⁓ her next fragrance that she also did with Margot. ⁓ I wound up picking Sarah's favorite as well. So she was very excited. Yeah. Josh: You know, Sarah Baker is one of those brands that doesn't do anything for me personally. ⁓ but I do love Jungle Jezebel just because it's a divine inspired fragrance. And like if you're gonna go into queer history to pick someone, what a what an icon to pick from is a fragrance influence. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know, I think she's such an interesting line because she has a very wide range of kind of like mass appealing to the kind of out there, like almost almost gnarly kind of sense. ⁓ Jungle Jezebel is a little I if it's the one I'm thinking of, or maybe it's Leopard, that's c quite animalic and like a bit challenging for me. Yeah. Josh: Both of them. Yeah. I I find them all quite challenging. Even like Peach's Revenge is pretty widely popular and it is very challenging for me personally. ⁓ I find her whole lineup personally challenging. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. yeah, and know, getting to sit and have some one on one time with her was really interesting because I know lots of people had some really negative things to say about her after after Scent Josh: I I think it's to chalk up being overwhelmed, trying to run your booth and answer questions and make sales. ⁓ Like I I'm not like defending I wasn't there, I don't know how bad it was, but like I think she was just overwhelmed. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, listen, sometimes people sometimes people have a d bad day, man, you know? So it's hearing it from her perspective and and how much it affected her. Like, you know, the the internet can take something and really run with it and really become very aggressive. So, but you know, just getting to know that side of her. And I had talked to her a bit at Scent Explorer and we got along really well there too. But just the one on one time was really nice. I I loved learning that she she and her friend, so she's the editor, and he writes all the scripts that come with each fragrance. So it's a hundred percent like you know, when we're talking about companies delving into AI, I love that they're writing these scripts themselves and editing themselves and refusing to integrate AI into this part of their business. So that was really That was really great thing to learn. She also did this awesome fragrance event in Nigeria, I think recently. And she printed out this, she made a whole newspaper about it because I don't think that there's very many fragrance events that are happening in that part of the world. So it was really well received. It looked like a great time. ⁓ Yeah, and I I think she is I think she's gonna do really cool things. And I love seeing I love seeing people excited about the brand because it's she's she's she's doing the work. Josh: what other ⁓ fun interactions did you have? Michelle DeLorenzo: Okay. ⁓ so I got to hang out with the girls from June 30th. We're there. They were supposed to have a party, but that fell through. Josh: Ha ha. have been able to sniff I think one or two of their fragrances at style. So I I need to delve into them some more. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know if they're your style. Maybe Vanilla Muse is for you, but they're yeah, I don't know if they're I don't know if they're josh coated, but maybe maybe you'll like Serene Santal. It's like a really creamy, spiced sanda wood. Did you like it? Josh: That's the one I've smelled. I was gonna say that's the one I've smelled, and I I did like it, and I ended up getting Santal by Kinsuki over it, because they're very close. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ yeah, very different, very different sandalwoods. Santel by Kinsugi is more of that like dry, spicy sandalwood, if I'm remembering correctly. And Serene Santal, yeah. Serene Santal is like a creamy, spiced, just very smooth, kind of calming sandalwood. Josh: And that's what I enjoy. Yeah. I like it to be like almost like sandalwood incense when I'm wearing sandalwood. Michelle DeLorenzo: I get that. ⁓ so yeah, so we got to hang out. ⁓ Danny, one of the one of the founders and I got to go to the Bon perfumer party. I love Bon perfumer. ⁓ and I got to meet the owner who is, I mean, he kind of like ran over to me when he realized who I was and like invited me to the party. And he was so sweet. We had a gr it was a it was packed. It was ⁓ everyone was wearing white. I did not have white. a white alpha with me. ⁓ so I stuck stuck at like a sore thumb. ⁓ but it felt like a rave in this like old, almost like mortuary looking restaurant. ⁓ it was it was a great time. I really enjoy Bond perfumer because I think they and they've repackaged. I was talking with our friend Remy about this. They've re kind of redesigned and really focused in on their brand identity. Josh: Mm-hmm. Michelle DeLorenzo: And I love now that they have color coordinated sections of their bottles rather than just a label. So they really look very strikingly beautiful, these gorgeous colored glass. They're niche quality fragrances that are at a really approachable price point, I think. I think their x-rays are the most expensive. And I think they're just at $200, but I think most of their fragrances are around like the $120 to $150 mark. Josh: Interesting. I actually have never smelled a single bomb perfume. ⁓ Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Okay. Well I ⁓ may maybe one will make its way into your into your surprise sample pack. Yeah. Ooh, Josh: My test box. Yeah. Missy had a great idea, and I think we're gonna make it a reoccurring series on here. ⁓ but since we both have ⁓ so much in our collection that the other one has smelled or maybe isn't used to, we're gonna make ⁓ little packages of samples that are anonymized and mail them to each other. And then film an episode while we are sniffing through them and trying to experience them together. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yay. I'm very excited. Maybe Bond Perfumer will make its way in there. let's see. What else can I talk about? ⁓ this is one that I purchased when I was there. so the Duomo, which is in ⁓ in the center of Milan, had a little gift shop. And I I also have a room spray, but I left it downstairs. ⁓ but they had their own fragrance line that was created for the duomo and Josh: So that'll be a lot of fun. Yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ they had six fragrances. This is respiro, and I don't remember the notes on it. I think it it's like a floral, white floral and plum fragrance. And this one was supposed to represent like the smell of the city of Milan. And all six of them were really quite, quite nice. I mean, it's really a beautiful bottle, too, right? ⁓ Josh: Beautiful bottle. Michelle DeLorenzo: So yeah, this was I think 160 euro and 100 ml. Yeah, and you can only get it at the at the duomo. So I'm like, of course, duh, need it. I also got a room spray that is that is meant to smell like the incense that is burning inside the duomo. So that's also really lovely. I wish it was a perfume. It's really good. ⁓ I also got the opportunity to go to 50 ml. Josh: Yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: Which is they also ship to the US, but they are a boutique in in Milan and they have the largest collection of Hildi Soliani fragrances. Josh: We love Hildi. It looks like you got a few of ⁓ Michelle DeLorenzo: Love LD. I did, and lots of samples. So I got Insulada Mista and I got Drink Coco. And truly, I wanted like five of them. They were so good. I didn't get to smell the one that you tried in Chicago, the oyster and butter one. Yeah, but I think I need to I need to order a sample of that one. Josh: Mr. Sean. Michelle DeLorenzo: I also got ⁓ Hildy and I exchanged numbers and we were ⁓ we were messaging back and forth and I love her so much. she's she's fucking fabulous, man. Josh: Casually texting the Queen of Gourmands. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ so yeah, in in chatting with Hilde, she, you know, after experiencing so many of fragrances, she asked like, how would you describe my fragrances? ⁓ And I said that they are, I said it's it's it's no ⁓ surprise that you are the the queen unconventional gourmands, but there is something about her brand as a whole and the collection that feels like a woman who is unapologetic about who she is and how she presents herself to the world. It's a woman who who dresses the way she wants, regardless of her age, regardless of her weight. And I said they're like the visual representation of Iris Apfeld. Josh: Yeah. I mean, R.I.P. D.Va, ⁓ Irisapfel is a forever style icon. So Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, yeah. And but that's that's what her fragrances give to me. And it's a you know, they're they're so special and so quirky. And yeah, I I could have I could have brought so many of them home with me if I had the budget. Josh: Yeah, I mean I so I have hot milk, obviously. Love her. ⁓ I've also tried Miss Tronchant, the oyster butter one. I tried a bunch of them at MERS and then I ended up getting some samples of the banana pudding one. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. Mm-hmm. I didn't smell that one. Josh: to you. and did you get the the cheese one? Was that one of the ones you had? Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ I don't think I tried the cheese one. I tried the salt and pepper one. Loved. Very cool. ⁓ my gosh, what else did I try? I honestly, I I'll show the video to you. I'll I'll send it to like put it in here. ⁓ all the ones that I tried because they just we just kept going. She had one really phenomenal chocolate too. But I loved, I loved her balance of like salty and Josh: Okay. Mm-hmm. Very cool. Yep. Michelle DeLorenzo: savory and sweet. It's really she's phenomenal. I love her. I I aspire to be like Hilde one day. Josh: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I mean I know the the banana one I would have to look it up again, but the story around it was like she was talking with a friend of hers and was like, What if we had a perfume that was like slipping on a banana peel? Wouldn't that be crazy? And that's how the perfume was made and I was like, I I love that. You know, we love a crazy fantastical story and then we love something that's just like Yeah. It's salt and pepper. It's hot milk. Michelle DeLorenzo: Fuck yeah. Hot milk was my gateway drug for for Hildi Saliani because and I I do still plan on getting a bottle at some point. I think it was on on the table and there was just something about these two. I'm like, okay, I can get hot milk in the US. I need Josh: Mm-hmm. Michelle DeLorenzo: These two right now. And I can I think there's still places available in the US to get them, but like I can I can order hot milk from MERS. Yeah. Josh: Yeah, for sure. ⁓ what are the scent profiles of the two you have? Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ so this one is this is insalada mista and it is it's a salad. It's yeah, it's basil, it's minty, it's super, super green and fresh, like tomato, tomato leaf was like bright and juicy. Yeah, this is probably probably not for everyone. ⁓ but I fucking love it. This is like the epitome, like of green fragrance. It's like it almost feels like you're eating a salad with no dressing on it. And it's kind of like it's like really bitey. Yeah. Yeah, it's great. And Drink Coco is a, it's a really creamy coconut, but there's a little bit of saltiness in here that I think makes it a really interesting balance. Josh: Yeah. Bitter, sharp, yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, so so Insulada Mista was like, all right, this is my wild out there one. Drink cocoa is my like safe, comforting one. Yeah. Yeah. Went for different ends of the spectrum there. ⁓ what else can I talk about? ⁓ so this is a brand that we carry at Stell currently and got to meet them and chat with them a little bit. ⁓ Astrophil and Stella. Josh: Fair. Understandable. Michelle DeLorenzo: And I told them so I got to smell their two new ones. ⁓ peppercorn, super, super cool. And they so generously gave me a bottle of my favorite one, which was Monsantal. ⁓ not super sandalwoody. Although I'd be interested in your take on this one. ⁓ but for me, what I get out of this one is like browned, not brown rice, but like browned toasted rice. And like a milky caramel. Josh: Mm. Ooh, okay. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. It's really yummy. They did a really beautiful job with this. But yeah, owners were super nice. As soon as I walked up and told them I was with Stelle, they're like, ⁓ have a martini. I'm like, okay. ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. ⁓ I had a really good martini at the anti-party. So ⁓ Ant Auntie had an event. This is where I met Milan. ⁓ and they had a caviar martini. Josh: Th something about that just feels very Italian. Michelle DeLorenzo: Salty deliciousness everywhere. ⁓ what else did I get? ⁓ so I got I they didn't we're not exhibiting, but I thankfully got to run into one of the owners for Nosu. And they brought me, I had ordered it online and they hand delivered me the limited edition perfume that they recently came out with. Yeah. It's Josh: ⁓ hey. Michelle DeLorenzo: It's a cutie. ⁓ so very different from I think their other three scents. And I'm not looking at the notes on it, but it's definitely more of like a brighter citrusy. I still get kind of this like hayy feeling to it. But I now I'm now I'm smelling installada mista and this at the same time. So ⁓ but yeah, it was really he's so sweet, so such a nice guy. ⁓ I'm really thankful that I was able to get my nose on this, but 'cause I think it was a limited edition with a store that's only in London. And I'm like, how do I get it? Tell me. So really thankful for them. Josh: Mm-hmm. We were chatting on Instagram and they were like, Yeah, it's so cool that you like Hides. Thank you for complimenting it. And I was like, I don't think you understand. Hides made my wish list. There's only like four bottles in everything I've smelled this year that made that wish list. Like ⁓ I really like it. Michelle DeLorenzo: What okay, tell people what's on the wish list right now. Josh: Okay, so it is currently ⁓ Hides by Nosu, which I call like a gentle monster of a perfume. It's this really so like surprisingly animalic but soft kind of like patchouli forest thing. Love it. It's kinda wet. ⁓ but somehow cozy. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I think it smells like a like a clean, cuddly young cow. Josh: I could okay. I I thought of it as like like a gentle monster, like I said. It just like something really fuzzy and kind of weird on like little spindly legs of of Yeah. I really love Hides. I wear it to bed. I I really love it. Friday, two AM ⁓ to Tommy by Soch Sechu. I have not smelled it. It is a blind by. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. Mm. Yeah. ⁓ Josh: But Jake talked about it when we recorded the Stell episode, and I have added it to my cart no less than five times. It sounds so good. the tatami mat and the cereal and it's like kind of sexy, a little sweaty. I'm like, ⁓ I need Michelle DeLorenzo: Ha ha ha. I yeah. I think you're gonna love it. This will this will be in your sample box. But I'm not gonna tell you which one it is. Josh: out Yeah. Outer Realm by Right of Way just got added. That's the newest edition. ⁓ it is like Yeah, by Michael Nordstrand. It is like this liquid, shimmering incense. It's such a amazing presentation of incense in a way that is unlike anything I have in the cabinet. And I was like, ⁓ I need this. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, our buddy Michael. Mm-hmm. Mm. Yeah. Josh: I also, weirdly enough, was having a bunch of work done on the house and the contractors were like, You smell so good while while I was wearing it. So yeah, outer realm. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. I think I think Michael might be might do my favorite incenses of all time. I don't think that's an exaggeration because I've I've smelled others of his that have, you know, an incense vibe and they're all fucking stellar. ⁓ Josh: might need to try some more of ⁓ 'cause I have Loves by Philippo is like my crown jewel incense. And then I have ⁓ the Holy Prophet Elijah by Fronima. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm. Yeah. Which is also amazing. ⁓ did you so while we're on the topic of right away, we'll get back to your ⁓ no, finish your list. Then we'll get back to right away. Finish your list. Josh: Yeah. ⁓ so the last one on the the wish list right now is Lord Lamington by Racontour, which is like a masculine gourmand. It's such a bizarre scent. ⁓ Lamington cake is a an Australian delicacy, but like the cocoa and the coconut and the sage do this really weird thing for me, and I really love the way it comes out. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. That's good. Did you know that when you become a citizen, ⁓ they give you a Lamington cake once they sign your papers? Yeah. Yeah. It is a really great one. When ⁓ we had his release party last year, I ⁓ I got to taste Lamington cake and it was quite delicious. ⁓ so Josh: Can they sign my papers? Can we I volunteer as tribute to figure this out? Michelle DeLorenzo: We mentioned Right of Way and I know we both have the Discovery set and the new one, Waterfall. I am super into. I honestly all three of these I really love. So the first one, Rising Sun, and the last one, Waterfall, were both done by Joey Rosin. And ⁓ Outer Realm was done by Michael and Joey. ⁓ but I really I'm Josh: Mm-hmm. Michelle DeLorenzo: I think we got to blind smell this while we were at Fumed with Joey. And I liked it a lot then and I really love it now. It's so the way they describe it is like smelling a smelling flowers through a waterfall, which I think is a really cool concept. I I love it. I know it's probably not your scent profile because it's very jasmine forward, but I dig it. Josh: It correct. ⁓ I think rising sun is great. I loved it on my roommate actually. ⁓ not as much on me, but it is a stellar perfume. Outer Realms made my wish list. I immediately drink the sample. Loved it. And then Waterfall, while not for me is very beautiful, I think of it as almost like a slightly softer dragonfly by zoologist. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, you know, interesting, because I think they both have that sort of like iridescent shimmery quality to them. ⁓ they it also kind of reminded me of Sid's Botanica style a little bit too. Josh: That kind of dreamy, fuzzy Yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it was a it's a really great, it's a great fragrance. I ⁓ interesting about rising sun. So I was chatting with the the owner of Right of Way when he dropped them off to us the the first time. And there's a green cardamom note in it that kind of comes up like in the middle, and it's meant to, you know, like in some areas during some times of year when they're I either the sun is rising or setting, but there's a flash of green when it gets to a certain point. That's what the green cardamom is doing in the fragrance. It's giving you just that like little flash. And it really, I think, changes the whole dynamic of the fragrance. I really, really love it. Josh: I love that kind of attention to detail. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Josh: I we do like right of way. ⁓ that's I I mean, fortunately, I think since we started the podcast, several brands have reached out to send me samples, which I love. Love sampling stuff. Please don't send me bottles. unless you know I love it, please don't send me a bottle. Send me a sample. ⁓ But ⁓ as I've been sampling a lot of stuff lately. So I actually I notice like I try to track everything I wear in perfumo every day. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm. Yeah. Josh: But I'm sampling a lot of stuff that's too new or not in Perfubo. ⁓ so Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. I I love when a brand will send me samples before sending me a full size bottle because I, especially if you're an indie brand, like I don't want to waste your product. I don't want you to send me something and I hate it and then don't talk about it because I won't bash you if you're an indie brand, unless you, you know, unless I think you're just yeah, egregious. ⁓ Josh: Right. It's egregious. Michelle DeLorenzo: So yeah, send me send me samples first and then you know we can move on to a full-size bottle. But I, you know, recently it worked out really well for the foolish unlimited because ⁓ yeah, well now I have both. Josh: Yeah. We can go ahead and talk about them again. I have no no qualms with that. The Foolish Unlimited I love that. The Foolish Unlimited is a new brand out of New Orleans. It is Ryan. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah, Brian. Josh: Yes. ⁓ and he reached out, sent us both samples. We both just loved them. And then ⁓ yeah, he was kind enough to send me a bottle of the one I really liked. You probably think the scent is about you. And they're just so cool. Like the bottles are cool, the graphic design is cool, the scents are really cool. If you're looking for something to explore and don't have it in you to do like a fifteen cent discovery set. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. They're Yeah. Josh: He has two releases, and they're both great. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. I love them both. So we as soon as I smelled them, I knew I had to bring them into the guys and have them smell them. And they I mean they had the same reaction that I did. Like, well, these are cool and they're so different from anything that we carry. And, you know, it's also his bottle design and his graphics are like they're so original and so cool that it was a no-brainer. So I haven't really talked about them until now that they're officially released at Stell. ⁓ but you know, Ryan was really kind and along with the order, sent me a bottle of temper. And then just this past Sunday, I picked up a bottle of you probably think the scent is about you, which is really not a profile I think I normally go for. Temper with a very easily, easy love for me. But yeah, I mean this narcissist is almost like sweaty and a little animalic, and it's kind of skanky. I like the skinkiness. Josh: It has that yeah, I love that it it opens with that kind of green floral, which is not my son profile. I don't usually do florals. And it also has this base that's this like watery vanilla that I also don't usually go for. But it's that that core, that like hay, sweat, sex that's in that like sandwiched between those two profiles that just make it all work for me. And I was wearing it ⁓ at a coffee shop. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Josh: And this woman, I very rarely get compliments out because I'm six foot four and kind of scary. ⁓ this woman stopped and she was like, You smell really good. What are you wearing? And I was like, ⁓ it's a it's a small brand. The perfume is called You Probably Think The Scent Is About You. And she went, I could stand next to you all day smelling that. What a weird compliment, but okay. I don't know. I was like, What a weird compliment, but thank you. get away from me. Michelle DeLorenzo: Ooh she flirting with you? ⁓ Josh: Thank you, but go away. Michelle DeLorenzo: Santanini, which is ⁓ a a heritage house out of Milan, right? ⁓ Out of ⁓ so it revived. ⁓ I I don't even think they've open a full year yet, but so they have all of their own in-house perfumers. ⁓ and it is ⁓ Josh: They're so beautiful. Michelle DeLorenzo: A lot of the ingredients are they work with a lot of naturals that are sourced in Italy. This one is Caffe Coretto. and I did get this is the one that I got you a travel size of, because I think it might be your perfect coffee. It is supposed to be representative of like a coffee with a little a little something spiked in there, but I don't think it comes off very boozy at all. I actually think it comes off really good. gritty and bitter coffee with like almost no sweetness to it. So when I smelled it, I immediately thought of you. But it's yeah, I mean, so when you buy a full-size bottle, you get to choose the cap. And they have three different styles that come with the bottle. And then they have like solid marble ones that you can upgrade to. ⁓ they were already expensive, so I didn't do the upgrade. But what's really cool about them is so it comes with a regular cap too. Josh: Mm. Michelle DeLorenzo: So you can choose to display it like this, which is how I'm displaying it, or you can use it as a dish. And then when you are done with the fragrance, it's a candle holder. Josh: We love versatility. Ginu Ginu ⁓ has the same thing where they're like, You can reuse our bottle and like you can use the cap as a candle holder, you can glue ⁓ together and have an object of art. I do love yeah. Michelle DeLorenzo: Love it. Mm-hmm. Love it. Love it. So yeah, I got three of those. That's where like 90% of my Milan budget went to. Josh: Gotcha. And it's I did not go to Exense. I was busy moving. But ⁓ a friend of mine that is a flight attendant was in Rome and also got me a little present from Italy. So I have ⁓ one of the reed diffusers by Philippo. ⁓ then in the new packaging, the the reads are here. ⁓ but this one is the Nativity inspired one. I'm not gonna butcher the title for everyone. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. That's cool. Mm. Cool. Josh: But it is like the moss ⁓ getting out the nativity scene for the year. So there's this pine and eucalyptus oak moss, and there's a little bit of vanilla. ⁓ like just enough to make it not too earthy. And he was like, I hope this is the one that you would like. And I was like, Yes, George, thank you. It's really great. ⁓ maybe a little heavy for the summer, so that might hang out until fall. But ⁓ yeah, I'm excited for that one. I also got Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. Yeah. It's a really cool packaging. Josh: It is. I got a sample of Panasoto as well, ⁓ Philippo's new release, which means I have now still officially smelled every release by Philippo. And ⁓ not a fan. But that's okay. Not everything's for me. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. ⁓ bummer. Yeah. I quite liked it. I it's definitely the most approachable of that entire line. ⁓ although I still quite like Quickie and a coffee. But Josh: I also really like cybersex from that. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, they're interesting. I was they had an insane ⁓ insane display there and I was really looking forward to hopefully getting to chat with Filippo a little bit, but yeah, his his people would not let you anywhere near him. He was celebrity. Josh: Yeah. I also saw they they re released and redesigned the X Strait to Music series. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ they're in the ⁓ it looks like a broken record now. Yeah. Josh: And I gotta say, hate that. ⁓ The organ pull from Notre Dame being the cap was what lured me into the brand. So like I'm biased. That's the X straight to ⁓ it's the X Trait to Music series. Michelle DeLorenzo: It was it's those that are redone? ⁓ no. ⁓ no, I like those way more. Hold on, I'll sh I'll s I'll show it so that people know what the fuck we're talking about. ⁓ Josh: Yeah. And I can't tell if it's a re-release or if they redid the collection. Because instead of being named Contrabombard, Violin Boss, ⁓ Vox Humane, it's like organ one, organ two, organ three. Michelle DeLorenzo: I love this bottle. Josh: Yeah, I think that bottle's stunning. It's what brought me into Philippo's a brand. I'm really sad that it that those are are changing. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, that's a that's a bummer. I didn't realize that. Josh: Yeah, I mean we all have opinions. I get brands change and evolve creatively. I have liked a lot of his other bottle evolutions. That one I don't. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm. It kinda remem reminded me of like Juicebox, I think, because Juicebox has the the record caps. Yeah. So it felt a little kitschy, but Josh: Mm-hmm. The little vinyl records. Yep. Yeah. ⁓ Philippo, if you're listening, don't drink your bottles. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ well. Yeah. Yeah. I've I've come to realize that I like these like I'm very I'm very attracted to like the long, elongated bottle shape. Like I got to smell through Rundholz. Josh: Yes, Rundholz. Did you try the purple one? Michelle DeLorenzo: Three. Yes. Holy shit, those were good. That might be one of the best incenses I've ever, like a sweet incense that I've ever smelled. ⁓ yeah, those are great. Josh: So Rundholz is a German design brand. They have clothing. They also have a perfume line. And Rundholz, is it Mars 2022 is the one that I'm thinking of. I had it, actually. I I sold it to Sarah. Never too many books. ⁓ and I did love it. I fell in love with it. Because it's like a witch's potion. It's like this churning, bubbling cauldron of incense, and you get so many notes coming out of it. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm. Hm. Mm-hmm. Josh: And I was like, I this is amazing, but I never wear it because I find it to be like so energetic. There's so much happening. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah, it's a cool one. I I probably would have purchased it if if it was available. Yeah, I liked it a lot. Yeah, I liked the green one. And I, you know, they've been around for for quite a few years. I think they said like 10 years. And they have a nice, like concise collection, I think. Their brand that I feel like is not overdoing it. They're not coming out with too many things. Josh: The green one was also really cool from what I remember. Mm-hmm. And their bottles have this like vintage science experiment vibe to them. The very tall, slender, borosilicate glass kind of vibe. Michelle DeLorenzo: They do. ⁓ and they they changed the packaging. So now they come in like this clear acrylic case. Yeah, that so you can display it in the case. Yeah. Yeah. So it's meant so that you can display it as well. It was really cool. Josh: Probably 'cause I knocked that bottle over a lot, so that checks out. Yeah, that's a that's a cool brand that I don't really hear anyone talking about actually. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, I I'm not sure why. They're very cool. I think the only ⁓ people I've ever heard talk about it are you and our friend Tuna. Josh: Yeah, fair. Well it's 'cause tuna has excellent taste. ⁓ so do I. ⁓ Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Tuna does have excellent taste. ⁓ one last thing. ⁓ I saw this exhibited and then came home to it in PR, but Wasabi Club from room 1015. Josh: Room ten fifteen. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. ⁓ I never ⁓ god. Sorry if you don't know what we're talking about, like good for you for not being chronically online. ⁓ but yeah, so I got the bottle three days before it released to the public, which is a great amount of time between sending out your PR and when it's officially launched. Josh: No one complained about this. What are you talking about? Right. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ just putting that out there. ⁓ not meant to bully anybody, just meant to say this is pretty standard practice. But anyway, aside from the point, leave the drama on TikTok. so you can't tell because my studio lights are on right now, but this is a glow the dark bottle, which the the 90s kid is ⁓ 80s kid, but is is thrilled with this. and it's it is a very cool fragrance. It's called Wasabi Club. I don't get any wasabi from it. Like I don't know if it's very zippy. It's very zesty. So it does kind of like give you this sort of like ⁓ almost tingling feeling. But I don't know. I wanted something almost a little like almost a little horseradish-y, like something a little spicy in it. You know, I think that would have would have really made it f read more wasabi to me. But that being said, it is a really like this is this is a great summer fragrance. It's a little green, it's a little citrusy. It's it's really cool. I like it a lot, actually. But yeah. Josh: Yeah, I when I was reading about it and seeing videos online about it, I was like, I don't know that I know what wasabi smells like just because I know so much of the wasabi in the US is actually just horseradish. So it's like I don't Yeah, I was like, I don't know that I know what wasabi smells like. So when people were s I I've seen a few reviews where people said it's very peppery, kind of green, very bright. I was like, Yeah, alright, that checks out. ⁓ that's like the vibe. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. So I think that's what I was expecting. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I mean I guess I have no idea what real wasabi smells like either. So maybe it does smell like wasabi. Maybe I'm I'm just not my nose isn't cultured enough. But it is it is really nice. I do like it a lot. Josh: Cool. ⁓ yeah, I don't have anything by room ten fifteen. Must Michelle DeLorenzo: This is now my third room ten fifteen actually. Josh: Yeah, I know everyone went crazy for Wave Child. ⁓ I just have never smelled them. So Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, that one's not really my style. I ⁓ they had gifted me a bottle of the electric wood x ray, which I I do like, but it's definitely a winter fragrance. And so ⁓ Aroma opened up a store ⁓ in Soho and I went the other day and I picked up Jasmine Freak. ⁓ I love that they have a 50 ml bottle now because the their 100 ml bottles are aggressive. ⁓ But the 50 ml is such a cutie, but jasmine freak is it's really more like a mango freak. It's very juicy mango with hints of floral. ⁓ but I enjoyed it a lot, so Josh: Interesting. And then while you've been gone and Jolly was nice enough to send me a discovery set of her new packaging. And I had smelt one or two of her fragrances previously, but this was my first time experiencing most of them. And ⁓ my god. Chai chai chai. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. I have it. Mm-hmm. Right? Josh: If you are a tea loving person, if you are a book talk, tea talk, you know, curl up with a book kind of person, ⁓ chai chai chai is really stunningly beautiful as a tea fragrance. It's well spiced, it's balanced, there's sweetness, there's bitterness, it is. I now get the hype around that one. I was like, wow, okay, this might be the tea fragrance for me. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ yeah. I I had bought I blind bought the travel of it and then immediately bought the full-size bottle of it once I I smelled it. I so when I started making fragrance content now three years ago, I was on a journey and have like a whole series of videos of me testing different fragrances that were supposed to smell like chai. And I was never able to find like one that was. Perfect that didn't need to be layered with something else. So I found lots that were close, but they just didn't hit exactly the way I needed it to. And it wasn't until chai chai chai that I got the absolute perfect, realistic chai and not like a, not like a Starbucks chai. This is real chai. Josh: Right. This is not the Tazo concentrate from the storage. Michelle DeLorenzo: No, no. ⁓ man. Yeah, it's phenomenal. I I love I love that fragrance and I love a lot of her fragrances actually. She's wildly talented. Josh: The surprisingly enough, I did not like the coffee one. Michelle DeLorenzo: ⁓ see, I love the coffee one. Josh: I yeah, again, I'm excited to smell the one that you picked up. Like I I feel like coffee is one of those notes that's elusive to me. I know what I want and nothing is quite comparing. ⁓ but I think it was Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm. Yeah. Yeah. Josh: Mantra is something else. ⁓ there were three that I pulled out of there after sniffing through them. And mantra, I was I can't place the emotional resonance that it's bringing to me. But I was like, ⁓ this is like a hug. It's like an olfactory hug. There's something about it that's really intimate and really lovely. ⁓ I'm excited to wear that one some more. So. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Josh: ⁓ I I could not tell you I didn't read any of the notes on any of them. I just went why like how do I feel? So Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I love her so much. She's also just one of the most kindest people. ⁓ I I'm really excited for more people to smell and I hope with this this discovery set that, you know, it it opens some doors for her as well. But ⁓ yeah, I I find it recently that I don't look at notes anymore. Josh: Yep. I'm I'm moving away from Tell me the vibe and let me see how I feel about it. And then if there's something really striking that I can't pull, I might look at notes to be like, what am I smelling? What is this? Michelle DeLorenzo: I just don't care. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't wanna be influenced in what I'm smelling. I just wanna I wanna experience it. Josh: Well, we've talked a lot about exense and things we're smelling right now. ⁓ so instead for a closing ritual, ⁓ is there like a body or home scent that you're enjoying right now? Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Ooh, a body or a home scent. ⁓ yeah, I just got back to the bag. I just got in PR. So Sniff is winning me back a little bit here. they released ⁓ Body moisturizers that match their fragrances. And yeah, it is, I love that it kind of like gives their original bottles. It's you know, glass here, plastic here. So I was actually on the panel to help decide some of the packaging, and they I they sent me two percent, which is really a fantastic milk fragrance that's not. Josh: Interesting. That's pretty. Michelle DeLorenzo: overly sweet. I think it has a really good balance. And the what what I love is that their lotions smell exactly like the fragrance. So I think that's, you know, sometimes brands, they they're it's a little bit off. You know, whatever ingredients they're using, it kind of it kind of tips it in a weird way. But no, these smell fantastic. So they sent me this one and they send me Coco Shimmy. So ⁓ yeah, I And they feel really good on the skin. So I'm into it. Josh: But are they marketed for men? Michelle DeLorenzo: They are not marketed for men. This is part of the SNF line, not the No Works line. So these are for everyone. Sniff we're holding a grudge. ⁓ Josh: But especially from for not men. I don't know. I still won't get over it. ⁓ whatever. I am. Fuck ⁓ anyways. So the I think two things that I've had lately is actually one of 'em's behind me. The new Sabant sent me their summer line candles. and I have been burning heat wave upstairs, which is why it's not down here. Michelle DeLorenzo: Hmm. Yeah. Josh: And ⁓ my god. Like I didn't I've never gravitated towards fruity or like peach stuff, but this one's like dill and cucumber and peach and like so fresh, so warm, but like in an inviting way. Ugh I'm not a summer person and I like, ⁓ I love this Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm loving their candles. They also sent me a few and like I got the the matcha one, of course, because I love it. And I got the the citrusy one because of course. But I got the roasted artichoke one or the seared artichoke. ⁓ it's so good. Josh: That's that one. Yeah. I have been a big fan of the new savant for a while, so I was really appreciative that they reached out to send me these two. ⁓ Library in the Forest, I've loved for a long time. ⁓ and Architect's Daughter is really cool. So shout out to the new savant for candles. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, for real. We love them. Pride month, LGBTQ owned business, support. ⁓ they're changing their packaging soon, I think, right? ⁓ are they getting rid of the tins? ⁓ I love the tins. Josh: Yeah. Mm-hmm. ⁓ The tins are cool. I have no idea what the new packaging's gonna be, but if you do want some summer candles, ⁓ we're New Savant I think is doing a sale right now for the ⁓ for the end of their their tins. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Josh: Yeah, ⁓ and ⁓ also candle-wise, always forever, you'll hear me the praises of Elgrove. ⁓ Elgrove Candles by Deja. Yeah, I'm Bunny's Cove is my absolute favorite. It I I love it. I just can't like ⁓ I've gone through probably six or of those candles. ⁓ but I've tried a bunch of them and I just love her like cottage core approach to fragrance that's not Michelle DeLorenzo: Yes, we loved Asia. Mm-hmm. Josh: overwhelming or too sweet. ⁓ and I believe that there is a new summer summer line coming soon. So Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. I love Deja. She is I don't consume a lot of fragrance content anymore, but she is a creator that I will still always stop and listen to because I love her perspective. Yeah. Josh: Mm-hmm. ⁓ I love her fragrance content, but I love that her brand is so standalone as well. Michelle DeLorenzo: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. We love you, Deja. Josh: ⁓ yeah. And then oddly enough, it last plug was also PR, oddly enough, and I didn't think I would like it, but I was proven wrong. So Blank Body Beauty sent me their ⁓ sculpting body oil ⁓ it is ⁓ I've worn it two or three times now. And I was like, when they reached out and they said, you know, how they developed this scent and they really liked how we talked about fragrance on the podcast, and that's why they wanted us to try it. I was like, sure, I'm willing to try anything. I also love a good body oil. Wow. ⁓ is not my scent profile. Michelle DeLorenzo: Is this the sweet plantain one? ⁓ I wanna try it. Mm. ⁓ Mm-hmm. Josh: I felt so luxurious wearing it. Like when you see those videos on TikTok of like the straight guy talking about stealing all of his girlfriend's toiletries when he's in her shower, that I I had to have that feeling where I was like, this is not mine, but ooh. It's this like caramelized plantain with these really warm, heady, almost endolic florals. Michelle DeLorenzo: I love that. Okay. ⁓ I love that. Josh: But they weren't so indolic that I got like cat pissed from them. It was like that that teetering right on the edge for Jasmine. ⁓ and I was like, ⁓ man, like I feel so sultry. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. Love that. I can't wait to smell this. I wonder how it would layer with verdant from Iliolome, which is a like a green plantain fragrance. Josh: I could see that there's also Mango in it. Yeah, I could see that working. Michelle DeLorenzo: Ooh, I love it. I'm so excited. Josh: So shout out to them. ⁓ we should probably do like a whole episode on skincare. Cause there's some really cool perfumed skincare items out there right now. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah, maybe we should. Let us know if you want to hear us talk about that and ramble on for an hour at you. Sorry. Josh: Yeah. ⁓ otherwise, yeah, like and subscribe. Let us know if you want to hear any other topics. Actually, we're down. Michelle DeLorenzo: Yeah. All right. We love you. Bye. Josh: All right. Bye.
