Quantum Dispatch: Back to the quantum dispatch. I've been away for like a week. Oh same. was just a weekend but yeah we missed it last time so I made sure to listen in. Fantastic job that CJ and GFA did I was coming I was driving the van. So it was just just listening wasn't able to see I was on a train Yeah, so boys, where are we at what we got this week CJ take us away Okay. Yes. Yeah, yeah, all right, give me more than like three seconds Okay, are. tell you what I do. I can tell everyone about dream hack an amazing event that we've just had in the UK. It's kind of replaced insomnia. ⁓ It's the expo version of insomnia. There's no like LAN event. I don't think they're ever gonna have a LAN event at dream act. But yeah, wonder what wonderful, wonderful expo, expo, that swanky myself and GFA covered alongside verbal sporting awesome sim rigs like this bad boy. We have a few cameras here for you tonight. This one. We have this one and this one. So yeah, I'm getting ready to stream. I'm away for two weeks after this week. And yeah, what do you know? Two weeks after next week. So I'm around for next week's podcast then. Yeah, I'm off to expand. Come back, hit the streaming hard, get back amongst it. So it's good to be really cool. Is that enough time for you, CJ? Or do you need to delve more into... Would you like me to continue while he gets himself ready? I think he needs more time. Yeah, Dreamhack was really sick. and Pete were representing the Star Citizen while we were there as well. Having it on two of the rigs definitely helped. Because like, oh, you find this game interesting? Well, let me talk to you all about the wonderful world of Roberts Space Industries. And while you're at it, this is my referral code. Yeah, that is a representation of exactly what I looked like doing cool gamer moves. CJ robbed the trucks. this is this is 100 grams of the 12.5 tons off a KitKat that I robbed. 16 Wheeler is parked outside his house as we speak. The memes have been glorious. Yeah, they've been so fun. And Fredo is listening. CJ is consuming a KitKat. Easter egg and anyone go how many tons of KitKat was stolen 12.5 12.5 tons of KitKat chocolate CJ now has 12.49 tons of it left after having consumed a lot the last couple of days. Yes I've got at least a couple more days worth of Right, let me drag out the track go for it. Right now. We've got the time. Right. So a quick rundown of the week then So we started the week on Monday with this week in Star Citizen, when they announced the... ⁓ They basically early dropped their Behind the Ships for the whole B. So we should have saw it coming, right? It came out Behind the Ships for the whole B, April 1st. Like, come on. We should have, we should have saw it coming. And I mean, it was outrageously me-me. Like, it wasn't even like as if you could somewhat believe it. It was just, it was just stupid. It was just crazy. So if you didn't see the trigger fish for the whole B then I suggest you go and watch. They did a video for it. It's super, super funny. And the whole G. And the whole G and the whole B and the whole M. Whole X. All of them. Whole Z was a good one as well. Which I like the whole, yeah, whole M was probably my favorite. What was the zombie one? Whole Z was the zombie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The whole G did have a certain alert to it with the like slinky style. Yeah, movement and the cannons on the top. thought that was dragging the SU behind with a chain. Yeah. Really efficient cargo hauling. Something I could definitely get behind anyway. But they obviously have come out with some whole B stuff. So for all of the trigger fish, we can see some actual some actual information for the whole bee. So did you guys manage to catch any of it? I've only seen the trigger fish. So in the trigger fish video, are you talking trigger fish about the you talking the video, the whole bee video? Well, yes, so the whole bee video, but obviously we've we've seen some whole actual whole bee bee clips and posts, haven't we? And yes. Yeah. And so you've probably seen most of it. So take us away. Hey, boo. Hi, boo. Yeah, so I really like it looks like the engines have a funky configuration. From what I remember, it's more like maybe slightly slanted. CJ, the only way to crack eggs. My wife always looks so disappointed in me. Generally before like a sidetrack. will come back to the whole being a second clue what we're talking about. Yeah. So just for context, CJ just looked at this egg in a very loving way and then smashed it over his forehead. And then I earlier, my wife was like, you're gonna do it, aren't you? Because I was holding the egg in my hand. I was like, yeah, she goes, you realize how disappointed I am in you. And I was like, yeah. And then I smashed it on my forehead. Not before saying the Lord's Prayer, but a chocolate Easter egg version before smashing it into my forehead. At which point she just rolled her eyes and carried on watching a TV program. coming back to the whole thing. Yeah, so they've got a funky and interesting looking engine configuration. which is something like, you know, in the moles engines, kind of like angular, you got like one here, one here, one here, one here, like that. And then four boosters in the middle from what I can remember anyway. The front of it is more star Lancer esque, like the front portion of the ship. It's got that more sleek design rather than maybe the clunkiness and bulbousness of the previous ships. Yeah, like the freelancer. Yeah, absolutely. You got it. And then the, Cargo configuration is in that X shape in the middle, which means that it should be able to land with all the cargo on board. But no, think from the looks of it, from the little bits we saw in between the whole B video, I think I really like it. And I just pulled it back out on my buybacks as well, just in preparation for when it drops. So it's now sat beautifully in my hanger, as well as potentially the iron clad, which is meant to be coming out some point soon. But I'll be excited. Was it 512 SEU of cargo at Kincare? You know what? I can't actually remember. And I'm a nerd for stats. But... Disappointing. This is going to be the highest price increase of any ship that I've genuinely, like, I can see. Maybe the Raylan might be better. I have both. You said 500 odd SEUs worth of cargo? I think 512. I think. 512. So what other ships put it in that that ballpark figure of cargo? See, if you want that amount of cargo, C2 isn't it? C2? Yeah, C2. And how much is the C2? Oh, fuck. Look at the price difference between the whole B, which is... 400 or 500 for a C2? Is it that much? Yeah, I think it's like 400. So 120 quid for the whole B? Exactly, 120 quid for the equivalent ship that... carriers, the same amount of cargo is over 400. So if anyone in chat hasn't had the chat with one of us about the CCU game, and you want to have the chat about the CCU game, the whole episode on YouTube somewhere. Yes, we may revisit it. may do. think we'll have to 100%. But that now, like, so I've got about 15 CCUs for a whole B. because it's going to go from that 120 mark up to potentially 350, maybe more. And now I'm going to skip all of that. So that's just free money sitting there. And I know it's not free money. I know it's really like weird and convoluted way of like saving by spending. It's free money, CJ. It's free money. I'm using, I'm using, I'm using boy math. I start it as a boy math. And I've got 15, I think. no. I've got 16. Completed, Right, wait. Let me go on impound. Oh, here we go. Are you going to buy, you going to buy, CJ's going to buy some right now just to catch up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going to buy some more. I'm not, because my wife is in the other room and she will hear me saying this. He's not going to. I'm not. I'm not going to. He's not going to. I already have one. I don't need another one. But I've got a couple of them. You alluded to it as well. I've got a couple of iron clads, both the iron clads and the assaults. Yeah. And I've got, last time I checked, can't remember the numbers, but iron clad and iron clad assault pack for like four, four, no, 300, 400, think it was. I it was like 300. So there are some crazy savings to be had if you do the CCU stuff. I've got both in one pack and they cost me less than it would purchase one alone. definitely plenty of good savings to be had this time of year, especially pushing up towards the expos throughout this year and next year. Yeah, if you want to save some money by spending money, this is the way. But yeah, so what do you think about the whole thing then? Is it a buy? ⁓ I think for the price of it. You almost, I say this, like you almost can't not in my head. Do you think for a ship that can give you that much utility and that much, I say that that much cargo capacity and a bit of to do it for that price, but you could almost do that and sell your C2. Like, I mean, obviously the C2 has other things, think about it this way. If you have a C2 right now, you're going to want to get rid of that for the ironclad on you unless you're a real crusader, bum boy. But but let's just face it, the ironclad is going to give you so much more. I was waiting for someone to get really offended in chat for a second and be like, I love Crusader. Don't talk to me about Crusader. There's a stream that I can still they can still type in. Wonderful. OK, come at me. Come at me. But you just think if you've got to see to you look at all the other ships that come out, you're like, for 300 pounds less, I could have a whole be I grab it now quickly before it goes up, you know, for. around about the same price I could get the ironclad which doesn't have like over a thousand seu of storage. They got upgraded as well both of them. Was it one and a half? Carrying more storage. It might be one and Yeah the assault carries something stupid like one and a half and I think the other one carries excess of that. I'm not too sure it was Drake's I bought ⁓ it. yeah it's good. Riddick do you like Crusader Riddick? What you saying careful for? Does he need be banned? No, ⁓ no. people for less. Yeah, I know. That's fair. People have just said Drake's shit and we've never seen him in chat again. And CJ's like, I just don't know. I don't know why they don't turn up. But he's like, but don't bother looking at the ban list. You don't need to look at that. That's my job. Yeah. Also don't bother trying to go to the house or finding them. Doesn't exist anymore. It's like Peaky Blinders. I like my A1. Okay. Okay. So not, so you're a bomb boy. Just make that clarification. Bomb. Bomb. Bomb. Bomb. Yeah, so anyone else in chat going for the whole B? Have they got it? Are they replacing something else with it? I think especially with the way that crafting is going and with base building. ⁓ my lip is here. With base building potentially on the future, you want something that can get cargo from A to B really quickly. Build your base in... friends building a basis. ⁓ So yeah, I think so. Although, Hyde Lord says, I think I'd still choose the raft over the whole B. I mean, it will be easier to offload and load the raft. So I think maybe you'd go raft then maybe whole B or both. They're different like sort of different roles, aren't they? Yeah. So the whole B is going to be really, really great. You can carry tons of cargo. But how secure is that cargo? That's what gets me with the whole C and the whole D and the whole A is if people can like hit you with ⁓ shield penetrating weapons so the ⁓ sledge mass drivers and like ⁓ the mass cannons can shoot things off of ships like guns and hardpoints through shields. So what about in the future when we go towards like our version of Maelstrom, are you going to be losing that cargo if it takes damage through your shield? Or even if you can shoot off a spindle? Yeah, or you can shoot off an entire spindle. All of a you've lost like 600 se of cargo in one go because somebody's nailed a spindle with a precise shot. Exactly. So that's the only real trade-off I can see between ships like the Drake Caterpillar and the whole series and even the Raft because the Raft is somewhat protected, not fully protected. More so is it's a whole series. on one side. Whereas the whole series is like, ⁓ my god, look at my cargo. Can we get my cargo? Look at my cargo, ⁓ my god. So it's not gonna swap out the caterpillar, for example, in my fleet. Granted, I have a whole bee, but they're for completely different job roles. If you want to move something from A to B from our secure location to our secure location, whole bees probably a good one. because it can carry more in a quicker amount of time. But for me, because of the other news we've had about command modules, makes me excited for the Caterpillar and the Ironclad, but the Caterpillar. Because we're now going to have that command module where you can whizz around your ship and on the Caterpillar, and it makes loading so much easier. So that's another thing I'm looking forward to. Now we're just going through all of the basically the PU monthly reports. I was gonna say we're slowly burning our way through aren't we but the command module does it have a tractor beam on it? It does I'm sure it does on the bottom seat so you've got two decks in the command module for the caterpillar and if you go down the bottom I'm sure there's a tractor beam on the bottom there because that's how you load it from ⁓ the left hand side. There's one on the left and then there's one in that like observation deck isn't there on right hand side yeah. Yeah there is yeah. The main reason I ever found that is from when they used to have the old wrecked caterpillars you could find at the wreck sites. If you remember those missions, I don't know, do those missions still exist anymore? Probably, although probably bucked out. Landed, disappeared through the planet. ⁓ yeah, that's the hijack for a second. I was on Reddit today and I saw someone with a splendid tin hat, tin foil hat theory ⁓ in the command module. They were really hopeful because essentially you are docking ship to ship. ⁓ I say, so where are we going with this CJ? What are we looking for? Exactly, baby. Exactly. So what's, what's, what's, the lead you're hoping? Why are excited about a Legionnaire? What's that? ⁓ it's a parasite ship that just latches on and you burst through and you're like, hi, welcome to the quantum dispatch. ⁓ Coming to you live Sunday, 9pm UK time. I'd be more like, up your weapons, give up your, your cargo and join the crew. And behind that is then a One moment, sir, please. I'm from the Quantum Dispatch. If you wouldn't mind giving a short statement about how you felt this went today, give a good Google review and we'll see you next time. Backspace. We need the... ⁓ I don't know how many of you guys in chat are Tarkov players, but we need the blue press body armor. Yes. You you got Tarkov, the blue press body armor. So he just gives Swanky no guns. He just has the blue press body armor, the blue UN helmet, and he just like runs around with a microphone. And a pair of glasses, a pair of glasses like this that you can get in game, a camera. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's it. And he just runs around and we're just, the doors open on the Legionnaire and the little mosquito that's just latched on the side of your address. And then, I don't know, something crazy like an ichthy walks through it, just pop pop pop pop, fucks everyone up. Or a door's open, railgun straight through the middle of the ship. A handheld railgun that is. Yeah, I was gonna say we've on the Legionnaire we have the Idris rail gun that we've just somehow got inside of it and I mean, it's got back door on the Legionnaire. So if you can like go straight through from the back ramp and then all the way through you just Legionnaire forces the doors open and then there's just an Idris Idris main gun just shoved into the arse of it. Behind it straight through one ship straight out the other. It's like It's a real Star Citizen version of the Star Wars moment when Luke gets the torpedoes into the exhaust ports of the Death Star, isn't it? It's just... I'm gonna rail gun you through the anus of a legionnaire. Prepare yourself. imagine... Imagine, though, something like that where the doors open and all of sudden it's the blinding Red Streaker light because it's the Idris laser. And it's just like the whole hallway is just filled up with like... basically fire. But yeah. Over the Outlaws says, ⁓ they'll never see that sneaking up. What's this interest doing here? Well, there is that one as well. But most interest is that are currently in the verse are like solo piloted. And you can do them with stealth components in the future as well. So they definitely won't see it coming then. Yeah, they won't see it coming. ⁓ As long as you put your name of your ship to not an Idris. when they scan you and they try and find out what ship you are, they'll not an Idris. It's not an Idris? ⁓ no, it's an Adol. That's not Harrow. It could be done with something like an Ion or like an Inferno. Imagine the door opens and then the Inferno Gatlet just through the hallway of the Idris. It'd be quite funny. Well, that's what Fat Bird did, wasn't it? If you remember rightly in one of his recent videos, he actually landed an Inferno inside of a Polaris. managed to get all the doors to open and then fired it all the way down through the doorway to get the shot that he wanted. It was a chef's kiss. Find it for you. Also, Jackal. Thank you for the reset, my friend. 16 months, by the way, the subscribe for 16 months. That's that's many months. Thank you. That's almost two children. Hey, I'm only on one. Don't don't scar me anymore. Appreciate you. But so I mean, that was the Legionnaire. We've not even heard anything about the Legionnaire yet. So going back to the Caterpillar and the Kraken, that was a good digression actually. It took us five minutes talking about a ship that's not even in the pipeline yet. we know about. That we know about, yeah. That was size-A. Three months. That's almost half a child. The third of a child. Thank you for subscribing. for a third of a child is a mad line. That's our metric now. How long of the gestation period of a child have you subscribed to the channel for? Congratulations. all of a sudden it size A has unsubscribed from the quantum dispatch. Refund, refund, refund, refund, refund. Size has gifted 100. How many children is this bitch? Sorry, you were saying Kraken. No, Kraken. If I say Kraken, I... Well, to be fair, actually, Kraken is past White Box Great Gate Review. So... is. Not coming this year, I don't think. But next year? Could be hopeful. But it is supposed to be the largest ship that you will fly. So far. Well, yeah, but they've recently said it's the largest ship you'll fly, so... But then the battle cruiser is going to be in concept later this year. Surely they can't make the battle cruiser smaller. You know, if it's been their last concept and it's being called a battle cruiser, if they make it the size of a caterpillar, you're going to go, I'm not feeling pretty battle cruiser right now. I'm feeling, you know, party barrage. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I'll answer that one in chat while you talk to you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Go for it. Well, no, so I want to pick up on that actually what sneak peek is actually the whole beer or another misshap What one you're thinking about? It's not changing your camera beat. No one's interested. No one see your legs put your legs away So we are what sneak peek we we looking at Yeah, yeah the legs built for heavy landing I've got be right. I don't see another unless it is the Kraken They've just somehow given us the legs of the Kraken to go hey, it's not the Kraken. It's got Misc written on it. So yeah, hopefully it isn't the Kraken. The Misc Kraken, the latest new concept ship. Yeah, and this Kraken, That's why it's the largest ship ever flyable because the dashboard is like two kilometers long. The dashboard is where you do all the marketplace stuff. You actually buy and sell on the dashboard. Yeah, yeah. That's it. The whole game is just from the dashboard. You could play Star Citizen on it. And there's a PC on the dashboard that you go and interact with and then you launch back into the game through the PC and inception and star citizen. And works. So yeah, so the whole Bay has had its final care review. We're getting it soon. This week, I think. Yes, that's what Ben Curtis said, wasn't it at the end of the whole bee video? He said that he was coming next week, last week. Yes. So yes. Which would, as far as he puts, come on Wednesday. So get your buybacks ready for Wednesday. Make sure they're all cashed out ready, otherwise you're going to see those stonks. And then, yep. then we have... giftable. I know. So mine as well. If anyone needs a whole B. Go to one doc because I ain't giving them. Yeah, they're my savings And this is and this is becoming a moment where we're just like, you know that on TV you've got those live Sales pages just like whole be whole be got a whole be 16 whole be CCU is going I going once going twice in chat Come on bids bids bids bids start bidding at fifteen pounds fifteen dollars fifteen dollars. Please don't go once in my head You said that and my head thought of QVC. Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah. now. I've got a Hulby CCU, not one, not two, but 16 Hulby CCUs I have ready for you today. Not just any ordinary CCUs, these are one Dark Enigmas personal CCUs. That surely decreases the price. ⁓ apparently we have no viewers left. Okay, they are CJ Radley's personal. Right, so. Enough about the whole view. It's a missed ship. It's going to be nice. I've got one and I'm going to keep it. But there's a better cargo ship in the pipeline. And I really wish we had our resident vehicle artist in check because it's the railing has passed. It's great. Great. I can't even say the word. I keep messing up. Missing out. Great. That one as well. Yeah, I know. Yeah, that's why I keep messing up. Yeah, got there in the end. So that's looking, I think, within this year. say is probably I end of the year. all alien week. Yeah, true. Yeah, point. Because because supposedly we're supposed to be getting the galaxy this year as well. which does make me wonder because they said the galaxy after the drama of of sitcom 2024 when somebody said it may or may not have base building the entire star citizen community exploded and went oh my bad I didn't think the research first it will and then backtracked and it makes me wonder if we'll have some kind of iteration of base building by the end of the year considering the crown no no galaxy okay Because the galaxy is also supposed to be coming by IAEA. And if that will have its base building module by the time it gets there. Gotcha. yeah. So but it may not because there's other ships that are waiting modules that haven't got them yet. because you could already have its medical and yeah, retaliate still waiting for crew modules and stuff like that. So they probably will just release it without it it isn't there. Yeah, they already have the medical refinery and ⁓ cargo, weren't it? So as long as it's got those, yeah, they'll probably still release it. But I'm excited for it. want my I want my my Death Star Dorito. The closest thing to star citizenship star wars ship in star citizen other than the Aurora mark two and the Scorpius. It's like a purse is pretty close. I'd say also the the Corsair if anyone's played Jedi Survivor and like the shape of that ship ships in again yeah I still have such a soft spot for the Corsair and but yeah and the Scorpius yeah you're right and you're on mark two and you're on mark two we've got the UTV a waiting release yeah one for need to finish One I see you it can fit on the back. All right, and thinking and you can also get two other people in so that three people can sit in it, you know, one I see you on the back of our go. That'll be that'll be a base when I see you. Very precious cargo. Yeah, well, I reckon, I reckon these little things like the releasing that ship is because this is just my my tinfoil hat, but I think base building is coming. Like they're getting ready to give us t zero or they're getting ready to give us a ⁓ a sneak peek of it because the only reason you would need a ship ⁓ a vehicle like that is for moving materials from A to B and a singular location, which yeah, you got the distribution centers, but who goes to distribution centers right now? There's no real reason to other cargo contracts. So I think maybe it's a base buildings coming and that'll help you shift something from this part of your base. Well, they did say they're going to work on distribution centers where you can do whole sort of like mission loops in one location. So driving from one wing of the mission at the distribution center to the other wing of the distribution center. Hopefully they do, because I like those centers. Yeah, pretty cool. Every time I've been there, it's been with JPM and the frame rate has just been like zero. So it's part of the feature. it's a bit more chilled. Yeah, yeah, Next up then. Before we do it, so you were talking about the Raylan. We haven't heard or seen anything more about how cargo is going to be presented on that ship. Are they going to stick with what they were going to do with the triangular formations or are they going to revert back to the generic SEU? Or is it going to be a case of like it's square and then when you latch it on it turns into triangles? How do you boys reckon that's going to... progress. They said a while ago that the triangular cargo just doesn't work. ⁓ I don't really know. they must know. They already know because the Raylan is in gray box. So they would have already fixed that issue. They've already moved on through it. It'd be really cool if they kind of just tell us. But how I can imagine it is going to be the triangular pods might extend a spindle out and you can put cargo inside and it retracts into like a little triangular cargo container maybe but it doesn't really make sense. can kind of just imagine that it's just gonna be reworked. finicky doesn't it? Yeah that just seems finicky. I hope they still keep it close to the original concept. I mean they'll have to really won't they because you buy a ship for the look of it obviously you buy it for some of the things that it can do but ultimately you look at the railing and you go that's really cool and that's the reason why I'm buying it because it's an alien ship and it looks wicked. So they'll have to find a workaround that still means that you get that same shape and design of it without going, hey, here's a completely different rail and ship that isn't the ship that you bought because it didn't work in the first place. So I think they will. I'm going to try not to think too much into it because I'd like to be surprised by it personally. So based upon what you just said, what about the Genesis Starliner? Because that is going back to complete re-concept. I ⁓ refund says that's that's ⁓ one of I don't know why his name's just gone out of my head. Jared, that's one of Jared's babies. So I so I don't think they will butcher it too much. Because it's Jared's baby. Because I think they'll be like, right. Why are you disagree, Pete? I reckon they'll just do what they need to do. I'll just grab it I do think the Crusader sort of like aesthetic is going to change, it's going to progress a bit more, much like how we've seen RSI. It'd be interesting to see what they do with Drake because for now Drake is still just like, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with the ironclad, how that is presented, how that's received by the community as well. But, you know, it's 13 years in development. Processes have changed people have been trained up. They've created new tools and everything that can implement better stuff with less cost to the system Was just looking better behaving better in the engine. So We've seen it with our assai. I recommend see it soon with Crusader as well because some of their stuff is looking dated See you and stuff does look dated in areas. Yeah so what you said about about with Drake ships again sort of like not remodeled, but how the design changes over time. But someone once said to me, why you wouldn't expect a capital ship to be, and for lack of a better word, in shit state. So you wouldn't expect the Drake aesthetic to carry on in a capital ship sort of like. Capacity. Yeah. So you don't want to go to the cockpit of a cap ship and there's an MFD on the floor. God bless the MFD on the floor. You're going to want that. I war show in the engine room for it to look like Drake. Yeah, because then you've got, that's an engineer's home place. Yeah, you've chucked something on the floor for a second while you're fixing an engine point. like CJ, you make a really interesting point of what will the interior of the Kraken look like? Like, is this a mobile station so that people live aboard this and it looks a little bit run down, a little bit dirty in places because of the fact that people are just living on it? And they want it to reflect that. Whereas the person, the Polaris, if I'm thinking polar opposite is this, this is a military ship. We've stripped everything out of it. And now you can have it, which is why sometimes the Polaris feels a bit empty and a little bit bare and a little bit barren. I have a feeling the Kraken is going to feel like some hobos have lived in this for a while, but now you've got it. Like, I don't know. That's just kind of the impression I'll get it. It's a mobile moving base of operations that never visits a planet. Like That's my that's You're like Checkmate Station. Yeah. Yeah. It's a floating Checkmate Station. Yeah. I wouldn't I would would not like it to follow the same aesthetic though as Checkmate Station as much as I love Drake and I love the duct tape for everywhere and I love like the random like trinkets like the whiskey hip flask and the the MFD on the floor ⁓ and all the other little Drake-isms like the the Corsairs fan. ⁓ the pointless little fan that's just on the space. Yeah. I would like to see things like that. So maybe in the engineering station, or in the engine room, there was one random like bit of ducting that's fell from the ceiling. And it's just it's not there. It's not it's not impacting anything. It's just visually like a nod to the other Drake ships. Like there is maybe an MFD that's missing a mountain bolt slightly skewed, but not enough to make it hard to read. You kind of maybe have to do like a little through your head to read it like when you're actually playing the game. But then it shouldn't look like an origin. Sorry, I just tried to say the manufacturing made me feel a bit sick, but it shouldn't like be finessed and perfect and like mirror finish on everything. It should look heavily used. Kind of like how Grim Hex is in some locations where it's tarnished metal. It's not necessarily like rubbish everywhere because it's still a capital ship. and I think that should also extend to the Ironclad as a subcap sort of big ship. It should still have that sort of like level of respectability to the interior design. But we'll see what happens. I think it will probably feel or look more bulky, if you get what I mean. So there's like thick walls and panels in places. It's still Drake, but they're like, this is a big ass that we've got to put more effort into this. So we've really got to pull out the bag with this one. So it will still be Drake-isms, like the panelling won't be perfect and smooth. Some of it will be botched together in places. It's a giant, giant ship. So I reckon it will be smoother. but it'll still feel a little darker, a little more bulky. Almost ⁓ like the ships of the Imperium from Warhammer 40,000, like a little more gothic, that kind of thing. So it'll have that dark feel to it almost rather than the beauty of Origin or the efficiency of RSI. It'll have... Beauty of Origin? Sorry, I just... ⁓ There is beauty in Origin. Hyperion. Hyperion sent me a ⁓ grenade and it had say this on it and if I didn't he was gonna pull the pin so I am I just very quickly just said beauty and he pulled his hand back through my letter box and then ran off but yeah yeah but yeah and then also I'm thinking so later in the year with well I said later in the year they are working on the ⁓ the pioneer They're still working on it at the moment, obviously not looking for it to be completed this year, but I can't remember how big it is in comparison to the Kraken. ⁓ It's big. can't remember. That's all I got. I got stats off figures. Join us next week where we talk more about the next ship. Yeah, yeah, Big. Big. Well, Pete, what do you think? Nothing's as chunky as the Kraken. No, agree. is large. Pete, Kraken, what do think? Do you want to recap your question for Spotify? Yes, so... Hi Spotify, I'm really sorry that I just babbled on for probably about 10 minutes. I'm just going to recap what I was actually asked in the first place. So the Kraken's coming and we're wondering what is its aesthetic going to look like? Is it going to be like the the cutty black? Is it going to look pieced together with sellotape and exposed wires or is because of the fact that it's a capital ship, is it going to be a little bit more put together? We now go to Wondark Enigma for his thoughts and feelings on the ship. Wondark. As though I'd quite like to see It rolled off the production line looking kind of nice, ⁓ but over a period of hours, days, weeks, because I mean, what's the reclaiming time we're going to be on the Kraken eventually? It's going to be crazy, right? So how about when we first claim it? Thank you, comes out looking slick, but over a period of time, it starts to look tarnished in areas. Maybe you start hearing rattles, but... That's what I would like. ⁓ Very ⁓ Yeah, so that's what I would like to see. I would like to see sort of that progression of grime that would come with running a ship that is of that style. But ⁓ I think we'll see like a meld between the two. I think we'll see tarnished metal and but clean interior. A good comparison would be the Reclaimer. Yeah, the Reclaimer's like dirty walls. It's not, but everything else is relatively clean. It's fixed, it works, but it just looks a bit dirty. I can get in the deal with that. As of today, it is Drake. It shouldn't be clean because, I mean, it's the Workings Man's manufacturer, it's not none of those slight snobby manufacturers. Or I like a million doors in my ships manufacturers kind of thing. We're literally summoning Hyperion right? So before we out of time then we'll skip through a couple of other little ships so Galaxy is back in pre-production. Yeah, we spoke about that before I'm excited for that. Kraken has passed its white box gate review obviously not expecting it this year, maybe next year And then we move on to five unannounced vehicles. Two in LOD Zero review, one approaching LOD Zero review, one in grey box, one in white box, and one is continuing through grey box. So we don't really have anything for them. I think the only thing we do know is maybe one of them is one of the Hammerhead variants. The gold pass? but... There's a variant, supposed Hammerhead variant. So maybe we might see that. I'm going to go through and find one of the pictures again of the ship roadmap. Yeah, so the Mystery vehicle, hammerhead related. Yeah, so it's rumored to be hammerhead related because it was announced the same time as the hammerhead killed pass. So it may not even be hammerhead related, but we'll see. I don't know what they could do if it was hammerhead related. Place the turrets with... mining lasers? I fucking know. I don't know what they're gonna do. Maybe they'd use that empty space in the middle for something. The turrets maybe could then be for not even mining lasers, you could maybe have them as like tractor beams. If it's just like a large scale mover of boxes. But it would be one hell of a like platform for box menu, become an industrial ship instead of a military ship, like repurpose it. And you know, if you had If you had that, for example, with what, like three on each side, one on the top, like seven or eight tractor beams, all of a sudden you're just whizzing cargo boxes everywhere. Maybe, maybe it could be that. I'd like to maybe use for a vehicle. Yeah, that's, yeah. I don't see it happening, but in my head I was just trying to work out what could, what variant could it be? Like how, how, what could they change about a ship that's literally all about having lots of lasers and fighting fighters? I would love to see an EW sort of based ship. So, Hammerhead maybe, turrets replaced with PDCs for pure defense. But it has a quite heavy EW or like counter EW sort of gameplay functionality. Because it's supposedly within that cap sort of ship radius. Like it's a big, big ship. And it will always be flying with other hammerheads and also flying with cap ships. So an EW vessel, ⁓ maybe like Riddick says a quantum snare ship, we don't have a quantum snare ship of a bigger scale. So like whereas the mantis might track down small fighters, medium fighters, heavy fighters. the hammerhead in its EW glory hunts and retains battle spaces down. So imagine it can instead of doing like a 10k radius that the mantis can. Like a 100k radius. Maybe not that big. 40k's or 50k's quantum entanglement. So it stops entire battle spaces being able to like leave the area. I think we really, really cool. ⁓ 100k? I'd say it's fine for a ship of that size. If you're thinking about in comparison, I was thinking about scaling up. So like if you've got a mantis to a hammerhead, I'd say hammerheads 10 times the size. So I'm like surely or potentially 10 times the radius of you don't scale up with with power. You don't scale up. No, of course. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So like, why not? ⁓ Yeah, science. So a ship that's like four times the size might be able to double the output, but it's not. It wouldn't be wouldn't be linear in the way you'd expect. ⁓ But I'd like to leave space for the battle cruiser, for example, to have like a quantum entanglement field in its battle space. So that could potentially be the 100 K sort of like radius or or Bengal, a version of the Bengal or a version of Javelin. So. The hammerhead is still a small vehicle. You gotta think of the size of it. comparison, it's a big vehicle. But if you put it against the silhouettes of the Bengal and the retribution and stuff like that, it is a pin drop. ⁓ It is tiny in comparison. So being able to lock maybe a weight class up to 100K. So it can lock light fighters up to heavy fighters, but anything else can still jump. We've seen this in Mantis, haven't we? With the hand tool and the max lift and then we've seen it again with say the salvaging ships and you've been able to pop up to a certain size. But I'm interested to go a little bit further down this road and although we're saying you want electronic warfare, what does electronic warfare look like to you in the game? that electrons fight each other. ⁓ my god, can't believe it, you're so positive, I'm so negative, we're never gonna get on. Sorry, go ahead. So endpoint for me, ⁓ and within my old trade, I've had sort of like not necessarily experience, but I kind of understand ⁓ about and beat you no more than me about like battle space tactics when comes to communications. But I'd love to be able to see the way radar works in the game. ⁓ another ship be able to relay radar information. ⁓ So, for example, and F-25, no, say an F-22 is a stealth aircraft that can fly relatively close to targets, but might be limited in payload. So there might be something else farther back that has something that has a lot more range on its munitions. And then they relay their radar like signatures. So the F-22 picks something up way out of range of what this other follower vehicle can target. but it can target by proxy of this other plane or ship, whatever. It'd be really cool if we can see like a Hornet Tracker be able to lock an eclipse from 20 Ks away, when no other ship can see it when it's within like five Ks. But the Hornet Tracker can't shoot it with anything. So then you kind of get like a battle space picture among a ton of vessels, that kind of link. And I think that EW versions of ships would like... stop that from happening. So jamming capabilities or spoofing capabilities. it kind of causes missiles to not work but ship versus ship like target and stuff still work but long range like missiles just don't. And it'll depend on the missiles as well, won't it? Like what's the targeting system on the missile? Is that going to work or not? Pete, what are you going to say? There's so many things that you could expect to see. I know we've covered it before, like you say, the extended reach of Vehicle so having the Hornet tracker track something further away and relaying those coordinates essentially to your assets on the ground So you've got a storm AI that has got like say a firing radius of 20k But actually in this case because he's locked it the maximum travel with the missile could be 100k and it's still gonna make like contact with its target and when it's like 15k out Pilots gonna realize that he's been fired at and he's got that amount of time to react accordingly ⁓ But electronic warfare is not so much more as like a supplement. That's all acting within sort of electromagnetic spectrum. But I'm like, can't go in depth on some things because, you know, reasons. ⁓ But electronic warfare could be, if I give you like a very simple thing, is like recording silence and actually then transmitting silence on like enemy ⁓ sort of frequencies. It's disruptive. Yeah, not outright. We're going to destroy this or it's know, it's deception. It's depth is given your own friendly assets more time. Yeah, so you want to jam communications. That's that's immediately what you think of when you go right. Electron will gonna jam enemy communications, but people use discord. And so that's not gonna be as suitable. You can jam that you can jam that discord from within game. Yeah, this amaheuch about to break some laws. ⁓ I must say though. expect to see in game that would be efficient whilst being simple enough? Well, I had a little side point to that, I've always, I long for the time when, if you look at like the Idris or the Carrick, for example, they've got those viewing platforms and the Polaris where you'd expect to go on, press a button and a map pop up in the middle. Like the classic Star Wars expectations, it? Like, I'd love it if, and going back to what you said before, if you've got a set of coordinates and there's an option on the screen to say share with party member, and then that party member gets someone who has shared a location or a target with you, do you wish to accept? You click yes, you are then locked onto that target because you've accepted it from a party member. Like to be able to do something like that would be sick. And then the electronic warfare means you can interrupt that. Like if you're sat in an address and you're going, I'm going to share this target with that person or a javelin. I'm going to share this target with that person, this target with that person, this target with that person. Somebody pops something, all of a sudden you can't share the target coordination and the fleets in disarray. Something like that would be really sick, even from the base level of it being the fact that you're in a carac and you've got a couple of ships with you, you share, cool, you go search this planet, you go search that planet. From the base all the way up, think exploring the different branches of how that could extend would be really goddamn cool. And like Ubu said, jamming comms, but jam party markers. I thought about that earlier when I was thinking about this point. What if all of a sudden... think we're used to that already because of glitches in the system. Or just turn them off. Like they're just white. So you have no idea who's who, you know, instead of the green for everything else. % of the time anyway, even if you're in a party. mean, but absence of the normal is the abnormal, right? So if we've got this happening already... people use that that's fine, but 1.0 that's not gonna be a thing, right? And so it'll have changed because of social. If they appear white, it's gonna be like, that's now different. So why not have it they change from green to red, have the same name, it just comes up as as red. And yeah, exactly. Which also means if they've got assets on the ground or PDCs, PCs are gonna fire on them. fire on their own teammates as well. And then cap ships will then PDCs will Yeah, that is a perfect perfect example of electronic warfare. Thank you. That is an amazing idea. That chef's kiss. I love you. Cool. Because it adds and I know we're now over the time, but it adds high value targets in fleet battles. Because this stuff like that's happening. You're going to want to target those vehicles pretty quickly. One, so you can run and you can leave the location. But two, you can stop unnecessary friendly fire, which is If you, you know, I'm not gonna say that. If you're playing with people, that's a normal thing that they're not coupling. Friendly flyer happens with certain people. So you're gonna wanna like protect against that from the earliest possibility. But yeah, they create again more dynamics in fleet battles. Now one person's gonna be taken away from a seat in a turret in an Idris to go fly this CW. ⁓ well ew vehicle so yeah it adds a lot more ships into the mix when it comes to fleet compositions rather than idris idris idris polaris polaris idris polaris and then maybe golem like something or golem yeah yeah no i can't nothing is going to be a fleet of like 256 golems doesn't matter what vehicle you're in battle cruiser gone javelin sunk what javelin sunk Javelin, yeah, javelin. don't know what javelin is. just got parts. I've got parts of a Bengal if you want it. But yeah. For that actually. can just turn off the engines. Oh, you're in atmosphere? Unlucky. Speaking of which, has anyone in chat and you guys as well? I think I might have shown you the clip, Pete. I might have not done, but there's a guy, a streamer called Hippo, I think his name is, who's playing Star Citizen. He snuck aboard someone's Shiv that they were in. As they were pulling into a station, he was behind him in his chair and he kept turning his engines off every time he turned them back on as he going on the MFDs. So his ship was going like this and you can see the guy panically turning everything off and on again. He just kept turning his engines off. Crash, soft death, the ship and he just F4'd and quit. And he was just sat there in pieces. This guy had no idea like how he didn't realize that someone else probably sat behind him. Just goes to show how buggy the game is that he thought this is obviously the game and not someone stood behind him. Just turning everything off all time. Presence of the abnormal is normal. Yeah. So when 1.0 comes in. It doesn't happen. You'd like. why does this keep happening? Am I having a power surge overload? I need to check my engineering terminal. You get up and go, oh, hi. And look at That's cruel, but hilarious. And I would do exactly the same thing. So one day when someone's interested in one, I go into quantum. Yeah, because someone named CJ Radley definitely hadn't stolen half of the fuses off the ship. And then and then logged off and then logged off, which definitely didn't then mean that we then had to reallocate the fuses to the parts of ship we needed to to get it to do different things. So we were like, okay, all power to the quantum drive and quantum. Okay, powers back to the engines. Now we can move. ⁓ no, we need quantum again. Change the fuses over. Ever since then, I have always taken fuses with me everywhere. So I created a thing in a game. PTSD. PTSD. exactly. So now you're always going to be prepped. The PTSD You're always going to prepared for missions. You're get griefed by your own team. Welcome to the Quantum Dispatch. Grief your friends, not your enemies. It builds character. The Grieftom Dispatch. Grieftom Grief Patch. Yeah, maybe we don't. Yeah, that's not going. Not yet. Wait for 1.0. And then we're going to see a rebrand. Right, so that's all the ships that we're expecting to come up. We don't really know anything else. But it's looking quite exciting. And some of the content they've been dropping has been really, really cool. If you haven't, I'd advise you to jump on. Look at some of the crafting stuff. Look at the fabricators. Look at some of the blueprints. We've only got like a percentage of things that can be done in a blueprint. Yeah. but have a look at them because it is really, really cool. There's a lot of gameplay that's coming up, especially now with Ice Valor cars. I know you've seen those, but there are frosty snakes out there ready to bite you. At a sneak peek of 4.8, you've got... 4.8 is talking about the ironclad command modules, refueling mechanics, the Ultra Flex crossbow, cast-iron plasma grenade, new flight suits, new ships and crafting blueprints. We'll obviously discuss this in more depth next week as well as current stuff with 4.7. But I have a full set of Palatino armor that I'm attempting to currently craft. And I'll tell you what, that first moment when you've crafted something and it comes out, you're like, I built this, this mine. I didn't buy this from no one. There are many like it, but this one is mine. ⁓ It's a wonderful moment. you did an event, there's a reward for it, but it's a blueprint. But if you do the blueprint within that sort of like patch window, then it is attributed to your account as an item. I think it should practically be attributed to your account anyway. That's what the road map to 1.0 should be. I feel like at 1.0, it all gets wiped. I can fully agree with that, like ships and everything, complete, doesn't matter what you've unlocked. Even if it's blueprints, they should be gone. Yeah, because that's advantage to start the game off. That's what I mean. Like account bounders in like as in your hangar in RSI. But I don't think it should be. But I think we need we need heavy permanence now from this point until one point. No, we have certain things like ships purchased in game bounty reps and blueprints blueprints for one should should be retained 100 percent. because they're releasing blueprints in smaller groups as the patches go on. So it's not as if you get ahead of everyone else because the next meta weapons are going to be the next lot to be in blueprints. So it's not really like getting a benefit at 1.0. Yes, they should be completely wiped. Also, should they be in missions? Probably not. Not all of them anyway. I think there'll be a match across certain missions. Maybe missions given by mission givers instead like physical mission givers ⁓ and then maybe also and then as well as that then linked to high rep levels with different mission givers. you reach maximum level with a like a bounty hunting guild. get a certain blueprint, but you can only get that blueprint that way. Although they have spoken about eventually potentially if you have a certain blueprint for something you could potentially sell or trade blueprints on like data slates. I know they've spoken about that before, but I don't know anything more about that to be honest. Yeah, no, that's how they're going to be. That's how blueprints will be eventually. They'll be in the form of the data pads that have like the codes on and stuff. But yeah, it'd be quite easy to then trade those between players because as long as you not use the gift card, you do not redeem it. The next person can obviously then redeem it. But I'd like to see mission-based rewards only be given in factions so like if you do a mission for the headhunters you only get the headhunters variant of said armor yeah that would be then so that makes sense you can't go ⁓ i've just got this meta loadout because you can get this meta loadout that you've got in this headhunters branded stuff but you can go do it from citizens for prosperity and just get the the cuddly persons armor type rather than the the murder hobo type ⁓ but It shouldn't be anything groundbreaking or good. It should just be normal. Like armor sets that you should be able to craft. All the meta stuff shouldn't be crafted, in my opinion. Like, Palantino armor sets. I don't know what the meta armor sets are at the minute, but I feel like there needs to be an onus on looted stuff. You still need to be able to loot armors and weapons. for the looted things to still be good. Maybe there's a crafting ceiling then. There's a crafting ceiling and then in certain items that you can loot are above that, but they're very difficult to get hold of. Yeah. And rare. So you be to craft them, you can't buy them, you can only get them through certain specifications. And they should be in like gameplay mechanics that require skill, right? Not in these like, break the stations or like half or like things that require you to actually like be good at the game. ⁓ like at the end of these, ⁓ you know, they were talking about at this sitcom live event last year, these combined arms operations, dungeons things. Yeah, yeah, Dungeons or the combined arms thing where you have to literally take bombers, you have to take fighters, have to take drop ships, you have to take capitals, you have to take like, it takes a lot of work to get to the end of that. At the end of something like that, maybe there'll be a box we might have two of them in, you know, because there'll be like 30 of you there, there has to be to be able to get through the mission. And maybe then that's there. And that has a higher rating than anything else you can get. But yeah. Yeah. Cool. Before we wrap up, there's one thing you and GFA were talking about last week. I was like, yes. And that was every time that we see a go pass on an existing vehicle, we see a new variant come out. I see we saw it with the Sabre Raven. which gave birth to the firebird and the peregrine. Spicy chicken. so because we've getting a gold pass randomly on a hammerhead, I guess it's only sort of telling. sense, They would put something new out with that. I think Jared make it abundantly clear on ISC that something is coming. So. Yeah. I look forward to seeing future gold pass reviews and theory crafting what's coming. Agreed. Yeah. And. Yeah, let's definitely do some sort of ship review thing. I know we're chatting about it. Yes, we are. ships. Fish and ships. But we'll keep it there. won't leak too much information. No, no, no, no. But ⁓ I'm so down for this. Anyone in chat that doesn't understand, you're watching it in the future on Spotify or onto the space, there's going to be something funny. If you're British, you'll get it. If you're American, sorry. Come visit. Yeah, then you'll get it. But we are almost five minutes over. So do we have anything to wrap up with? Well, I've got a kid on the way, so I can't say I do. Bit late for that one. ⁓ But I was so disappointed in me. No, thank you everyone for coming. It's been so good to see so many people in the gifted subs, the subs, the resubs. 16 months or one and a half babies for one and a third of a baby for another. Yep, that's it. ⁓ But yeah, no, think next week we'll probably talk more 4.8 and anything else that has changed throughout the week. ⁓ if we've had anything to happen, we will see the whole beat. 4.7.1. So we'll do a talk through of that and ⁓ maybe fish and ships. Maybe fish and ships. So Isaiah, maybe if my wife didn't need to get to bed and wasn't giving me evil side eyes, potentially. I want to sure that's what he's talking about though. Some things are longer than others. Oh yes. You also be here at the start. when he says that he was and he's been there. I've been here the whole time. Yeah, I thought everything. Unfortunately, we went forward an hour recently you guys I've gone forward now. It's shit. I see I see I told you I told you was it was okay Well, your first message was halfway through the podcast. So you've got half that you missed out on catch on Spotify Cool, I think it's everything. Yes. I think so. Yeah, absolutely you again next week 9 p.m. UK time, which is like GMT plus one right now and forward to taking your questions and hopefully all four of us will be on. Absolutely. If you have anything that you would really like us to talk about and you want to get in touch with each of us throughout the week, we can consider it, put it to the rest of the cast and see if we talk about it next time. Make it at least PG, I don't know, 16, maybe 18 plus depending on the week.
