Quantum Dispatch: Hello everyone and welcome back to the Quantum Dispatch Podcast. Today we are here talking about DefenseCon and the delay of the Free Fly, why it had to be done, why it was a good decision and why we are loving the game right now. Or maybe we're not. Time to find out in today's episode. I'm GFAPlays and I am joined by my fellow co-hosts, Swanky Fisherman and One Dark Enigma. Boys. How are you and how have you been finding 4.8? Go on, Pete. I love the M80. It is super sick. I don't care about gameplay. I care about ships. And I'm here for the M80. Getting him straight in my basket. For anyone who was here during the ⁓ fleet check episode, you'll realise that one Dark Enigma is telling the absolute truth. Yes. ⁓ no, no, no. Don't get me I'm not going outright for it. I'm going to be upgrading. But what I'm going to upgrade I don't know yet, but I can use store credit to fill the gap and then find out what I'm going to do later on down the line. Obviously we've had the beautiful ironclad. We're going to have some content come out about that very soon, but it's been chef's kiss. I think it's, I was saying it's somewhere where I feel welcome. ⁓ It feels quite homely and especially that little area at the back where the fabrication stuff is. I don't know, I something about that area. like, I want to live here. So I don't know. You're gonna see some Drake action. Anyway, Swanky, how are you, my man? I am doing very well. I think for me, yes, firstly, the M80 is... ⁓ it's gorgeous. Sounds gorgeous, looks gorgeous. The guns retract into the side of the ship and you're like, magnifique. Fantastique. ⁓ It could probably do with maybe a tiny bit of a maneuverability upgrade if I'm gonna be really finicky. But ultimately, it's gorgeous and I absolutely love it. And I was interdicted. by a mantis and six of them while I was in Nix the other night. And while I was in an F8 and I got thoroughly ruined, which was fantastic. But no, I'm really loving it. Loving the ironclads. I had the ironclad basic and then I went ironclad assault and that's my story and I'm sticking with it. But no, I'm really, really good. Really, really good. Enjoying being able to get on these before the eventual arrival of small salmon, salmon mark two, which should be arriving in five weeks. We've got the Inside the Ships episode ready for salmon mark two and I'm joking. ⁓ Yeah, I'm good. And what about you, Geoff, how are doing? I am doing very well. I am absolutely loving the M80. I just, I, it's the first time I've had to go and just pick up a ship on day one. Usually I'm like, ⁓ I'll let it cook for a bit. I haven't actually I've gone and ventured out into buying ⁓ a new ship in a long time. But yeah, the M80 is something special, I have to say. But yeah, I'm good. I've been really enjoying just 4.8. I know it's been a little bit up and down, the 4.8. I know the mission system and we're obviously going to get into the whole topic of today about the free fly, one of the most important parts of the Star Citizen. semi annual or vintage. Well, I guess it's more than that. They're more free flies than just two a year nowadays. But it's such an important part of the of business model and of the community to get new people in. And it's it's a shame they've had to delay it. But it's absolutely right. Cool. If you've been playing at all in the last couple of days, it is absolutely the right call. But yeah, I've been that is something special. The fact it's got a bed. I'll be honest, okay. And this is going to be a very unpopular opinion. Uh oh. Not this one. To get the M80, I had to sacrifice a ship. Oh, I was going to say something about this. So I'll let you go first because I also sacrificed a ship. What ship do you think it is? It's got to be less than less than $300, of course. So it's a Drake ship. It is a Drake ship. Clipper? Yeah. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Yes. Well, it's because you said it was unpopular. which, and on popular pillion, which made me think that it's got to be a ship that everyone loves and would get annoyed at you for melting. So I was like, cut you black, it's very old and people go from that to something else. yeah, but yeah, probably. I know the clip is good. And the only thing I'm really missing, I know it's got a fabrication on it, which is a bit meh, but the main thing is the med bed. Is that what I'm going to be missing out on? But the fact that I can still sleep on this thing, I just, I love it. I absolutely love it. So yeah, the Clipper is no more. What ship do you think that I ⁓ upgraded from it to something else? From something else to it? Yes. Well, I know you had an Aurora Mk2 that you were like, ⁓ about. So, I mean, that's quite a big jump. But if you have CCUs, then... I do not, if that changes your... ⁓ Shall I say this will probably give it away? ⁓ But if you were to look at it from a distance, it may look similar. 300, 350R? Nope. 325, I'm trying to think of what you had now in your fleet. Give me the manufacturer. I've got to try and remember it myself. Oh gosh. It's got be a 300 series if he's got a similar silhouette. Not silhouette, looks similar. Oh, okay. What's the difference? What are the characteristics of the M80? Like the base one? Somebody in chat's already got it. Oh, see Yeah, it's the Wolf. Oh, really? Yeah, it's the Wolf. I think like the Wolf... Again, this is going back to when we talking about our fleets. Well done to those in chat. We got it by the way. ⁓ The wolf, I only ever use it if I'm just going from A to B and I want to go to A to B in something pretty, which if I'm to go to A to B in something pretty, let's go in an M80. Like, let's go in an M80. And at least, you know, I could use it as a heavy fighter and as a use case. The wolf does have a use case fine, but I already have an F7A. I already have a Gladius that's account bound. The F7A is a Mark II, it's account bound. So it's like... Like, yeah, if I was going to choose between the two, I'll go for the other one. So, yeah, my my wolf became an M80. Yeah, Yeah. Is there anyone else in chat sacrificed or melted something to become the new shiny boy? How are we rating the new shiny boy, though? I love how it looks, but actually going out and using it. Not quite so much of an opportunity to. Although I did take on the round robin. But yeah, haven't done any significant dogfighting just yet. I've done some little PvE stuff in it and it does melt through things quite quick. From what I've seen, if it's like a similar stature, if you start going for stuff above because it's laser repeaters, obviously they've been massively decreased power wise this patch. They're not going to do the same. One thing I don't know, does anyone in chat know this? Oh, yeah, CJ, don't melt my kid for an M18 mate. Don't do it man, don't do it. Okay, look, it's not just me you're have to deal with, but my wife and she's terrifying. ⁓ But my one thing I was wondering is, can you swap those weapons out? Can you change the loadout for ballistics? Can you change it for ⁓ like laser cannons instead of repeaters? I don't know if you can. You probably can, but I just don't know. So I'm just checking. Yeah, you must be able to. Cause they're just side mounted. They're not embedded in the ship. So I had a med, but they do fold in. They fold in. So would it have to be that they're the same size or is it just that all the weapons are made to be the same size? I reckon, I reckon you might be able to only change the two on the outer wing. need it. We need to check this, but I'm not sure. It's anyone in chat try changing the weapons yet. I'm just thinking if it might be that you can only do the wing mounted ones in which case you'd have a different in different. What am I trying to say? A different rate of fire, which would cause issues of your pips and which would make me go crazy if I had two different fire rates. ⁓ when you've got like the two different pips one above the other and you're like, which one do I actually focus on it with? Because you've got guns that fire at different fire rates and different speeds. So the pips had lagged differently. It would annoy me too much. So I would have to just keep the ship, the guns that were on it. I'm assuming certain, I'm assuming they've built it so they fit a variety of weapons. I'd like to think so. I also think that it brings onto an interesting point of have they made it so that all size five weapons are the same length? all-size-for weapons, same length, size three, size two, et cetera, et cetera, to ensure that there's not issues with that. I'm merely saying this because I hadn't thought of this until now. So it'd be interesting to see and maybe report back next week and be like, you know what? Yes, they have. But yeah, Pete, well, what have been your experience with the M80 or have you literally just had a chance to sit in it so far and not much more? You're muted, by the way, mate. I am sorry because my dog is just going mental in the background. ⁓ So I managed to jump in and do an engine sound ⁓ test and make sure it was good. And yeah, just to get out for a flight. I was at Arcade, I spawned in Paro just because I like the place. I like being so close to contested zones, but also because everything is close by. And so I'm laughing because CJ is being immature in chat. ⁓ Yeah, because everything is there. All your paints are there. Everything, your home hangers, so you bring up your ground vehicles. You can load everything. I just like Pyro for that. And then I went off to Stanton and whilst I was in the junk tonne, I thought, I better just confirm where it is. We're going to say, ⁓ we're all in Stanton, right? No, we're in Nix. And then I tried to take it round. I got the fueling bug. So I refueled. didn't reflect on the MFDs. I stored it. I brought it back. It still read the same. had to detonate it in the hanger and then read your, yeah, just, it was a mess. And I got there and everyone's like, I'm going to bed now. I was like, okay, great. Have you seen the people dancing on the podium? I haven't actually been in yet. What? I haven't been into defense con yet. I'm trying to show outrage, but I can't move my face. Even a plastic surgery, you still move your eyebrows and stuff. Nope, nope. It's only my mouth and lower part of my face that has movement. That is all. How about you, Pete? you seen the floor? Yes, I have. I've been in there. It is crazy, but it's good. I I know that in the lore and stuff, they've sent UE back to Seoul for an event. Who knows what they're doing there just yet, but it's a nice way to change it up because IAE blends into Fleet Week and they look the same. They essentially feel the same. ⁓ It's time for something good. bit different, a bit revamped. And if it's defense con that is the way to go for next couple of years, let's have it. Because in real life, nothing is ever truly the same. And they're always looking to get better. But for the last few years, the Expos have been more or less the same. Yeah, I agree. It's been really nice to see a change to it. I don't know, it feels the way they've laid it all out. It feels like there's a treat everywhere you go. Whereas sometimes, ⁓ Screamer, you beautiful man. I was about to say a naughty word. TfA look to me for a second. TfA you beautiful, gorgeous kangaroo. Don't give me more editing work. Thank you for giving a tier one sub to the only Mr. O King Kongatron, Domino Seven Archangel Imperious and Snowman X underscore TV exclamation mark. Thanks dude. We appreciate it. Thanks dude. Well obviously synonymously with... IOW and IEA, we get the free flight. Now this one has been delayed. ⁓ It looks like for the right reasons. Where we've, as a community, have voiced these opinions in previously. New patches come out, they've got just the state where it's going really well and they bring in all these newbies and you see all the like cheaters come back and it just gets ridiculous. So I'm really happy to decide to delay this free flight. High start jump. Agreed. Yeah. think it's been a... It's been a good decision. I think it's been a very ropey couple of days with stuff. The mission system is being very broken and not completing in many cases and causing issues. And we've had performance issues. We've had decent issues everywhere. There's been I've had I've had more server errors in the last few days than I have in the last like year. So it has definitely been ⁓ troublesome to say the least. There's been a lot of highlights. Obviously the M80 is the main one, but there's been a lot of highlights of good things that have come to the game and interesting developments that are going to allow us to enjoy playing 4.8. And I think usually the general sense of the game, but it is a shame. Yeah. think I'd agree with you with that because I'm a little conflicted at the moment. say conflicted. I've had good and bad. The good of it is it's been... First thing we did when the patch dropped. Me and a couple of the guys from Al Fai Radani and the Quantum Dislatch people went out mining, right? And there's a few of us all went out and doing different things. We got the first batch, we got back. Don't worry Pete. We got back and realized that we didn't have enough money individually to actually pay for the refining of the goods. So we were like scrapping together. Someone got 2k somewhere. Can you send me 2k so I can pay for the refinery job? And then we sat there for minutes. and just did some things and waited for our refinery jobs to finish so we could sell the goods to have enough money to upgrade the command modules and stuff like that. And it's like, it was really nice to have that sense of like, working towards something. And then with the new intersect mission coming up, like we had it last night we were on, it? And we were on for ages grinding the missions together as an org and as a collective and okay, you guys do these missions, you guys do those missions. I need help over here, ace, okay, I'm coming. And then everyone wondering about, ⁓ I would... use this ship, but I'm worried about not being able to afford to repair it afterwards. And it was, it just felt like there was some urgency. There was some agency about the play that you were doing on the flip side. My ⁓ server errors things broke. People can refuel. You can't dock. I pulled out my iron clad and it was like, I'm going fast. SEM. I'm going fast. SEM mode. What? ⁓ yeah. Maybe I'll try going through the jump tunnel. I'm in the jump tunnel. I'm spinning. I'm I'm spinning, I'm I'm gone. I'm like, okay, cool. Let's not take the ironclad out until they've done something. Yeah, the ironclad, I was playing today just before ⁓ this and ⁓ I was with my buddies. I was in the M80, me and my buddy, Carl, friend of the show in the M80, Mako was in an ironclad and we were, I had stopped for a second because I didn't realize at four per day, completely unmapped loads of my controls. So was remapping some of my joystick controls. And whilst I was in the pause menu, I could just see the silhouette of something approaching in deep space. And all of a sudden an ironclad just came up underneath me. And I've got the footage of this. It was hilarious. I'm going to put it in a video. But the roof just, the cargo bay went, opened up and then he just ate me and then it closed again. then he just drove off. And it was obviously Mako picking me up. So I then got out of my M8 and I was chilling out just sitting in one of the seats in the cargo bay, know, you've got those like drop pod seats. I was sitting there and I was like, right, let me know when we get to this mission, because I'm going to pop out of the roof and get the M8 hot on the towel and kill these ships. Anyway, we're in quantum and I heard an almighty like boom. And I was like, what was that? And then I just saw Mako's marker. 300 meters, 400 meters, 500 meters. All of sudden he was like... three, four thousand meters away. I was like, hang on, why are you so far away? he oh, I heard him go, oh no, oh no, it's that bug. And what had happened is the cargo at the command module had separated from the main ironclad in quantum, dropped me out of it and him out of it in separate areas. And I was just drifting through space towards the enemy because we were literally just arriving at the location. He was now trying to catch up to recouple and I'm drifting into the jaws of all these fighters. So I'm running down this cargo bay, hoping I don't hit an asteroid climbing up a ladder to open up the roof. The roofs open in absolute bedlam rockets missiles. And I'm getting into the M80 to jump out the top and go and shoot them all. Luckily I survived, but it was so fun. And yeah, it's beautiful. It's, it's, it's, it's got so many fun use cases and looks like it's going to be an incredible ship. ⁓ And just looking around it, there's so many little bits and bobs that every time you go around the ship again, you notice something different. And like, if you look closely at individual details and stuff, it's just absolutely gorgeous. There was also the Drake Pitbull, which I think is really fun. Like I've got one on the account, on my account, and I had a zip round in it. And it's just, it's just pocket aggression. And I absolutely love it. And apparently I was it. ⁓ Don't know who it was I saw on Twitter. Might have been Citizens of the Verse or a couple others. But you can fit one in the back of a cutty black. Can you? Yeah, you can fit one in the back of a cutty black. You're muted again, Sorry. You can fit it through the back door of a reclaimer as well. Yes, people will be doing their stuff and you go, hello. Yeah, yeah. I'm yet to pull it up. didn't really do that small. Yeah, yeah. It's tiny. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a bit of a shame it's called the Pitbull. I'd quite liked it to be called like the Drake Terrier. Yeah, the Chihuahua. That would have been probably better. The Drake muzzle. Right through the side door of the cutty. I don't know about that CJ, but is it or is it through the side door? Yeah. Because if it is, ⁓ dude, that's insane. It's so small. So you've had the Drake Pitbull, which I think unanimously everyone is enjoying. Other than maybe some, I don't know, Hyperion, whatever. just hates that kind of stuff. ⁓ ⁓ Other than that, then you also had the... This shows you how much the ship means to me. The refueler? Was it a star something? Starlight? Is that out? It's coming and Smith. Coming. Will be coming soon. Which is nice. ⁓ Also, did you see when we were playing the other night, there are refueling missions. But by refueling missions, what I mean is you can request NPCs to come and refuel you. And the NPC arrives with two fighter escorts and refuels you. When we were playing last night, a few of them requested it. ⁓ Obviously, it's refueling and it starts it. And look, we all know what that means. It doesn't work. At least not all the time. Okay. But some of the times it did. I'm pretty sure a couple of the guys requested it. A refueler arrives, refuels you with two fighter escorts there, pops back off. There you go. That's really cool. But it was sick. If they can nail that and get that to work, the possibilities then are insane. Like I was thinking to myself, what if then you can pay a certain amount and request an escort from NPCs? you're doing a cargo mission, you don't have friends online, I'll pay a premium, I'll get a fighter escort. And then you say where you're going from, where you're going to, they escort you that entire distance and then they dissipate. That'd be really cool. Sick. That'd be really cool. Yeah, that will happen one day, right? There's going to be AI gunners on a ship that you can hire and get people to mount your guns. There'll be AI escorts, there'll be AI, you know, there'll be all sorts of, which is really good. I should say fighter escorts, not AI escorts. whoa. Chris Roberts escort gameplay. Okay. So I think they'll... Yeah, I'm sorry, forgot. I've got it here, here go. Exactly. Yep. Yep. Yep. 100%. So yeah, it be, it's going to be, um, it's good. It's going to be good. But, uh, yeah, we should probably talk about what, what we think is going to happen now that it's been delayed. Cause we've had this before. feel like they canceled one, a free flight entirely once before when they did Apache went horribly wrong and they just full on canceled the free flight. It was last year. And I don't know, does anybody, did that ring a bell of anyone they canceled? I don't think it was Invictus or IAE. I think it was a different free fly. Maybe like an Alien Week one or something like that potentially. I'm almost 100%. Yeah, they had to... in February. Was it in Feb? When they had to cancel the free fly entirely? What was it this year? I'm fully on board with it. I'm fully on board with it because ultimately it's... ⁓ It's them finally going, sure, we have all these concurrent people who, let's just face it, we're going to spend money. Yeah. Aren't we? We're going to spend money. So keeping us happy, because it's all well and good bringing new players in, but if new players are coming into a broken experience, that doesn't set a good precedent. So if they can fix it first and go, hey, the reason why we're doing this is we want to get you in, but we want to get you in in the right environment so you can actually experience the game. And so you don't come in and then the people who are already in the game goes, leave, get out quick while you can. Don't do it. Like, yeah, I'm fully open. Wouldn't it if you had like brand new people come into the game and then you were like, hey, come and try Star Citizen. It's free. You're going to have a great time. ⁓ this isn't working at the moment. This isn't working at the moment. This isn't working at the moment. This new ironclad ship that's amazing, completely broken right now. Like there'd be almost no, no. ⁓ benefit to having it. So yeah, I'm glad they've done it. I kind of just wish they've pushed all of Defencecon because I feel like they set themselves these deadlines. Like no one, no one would have lost sleep if they said Defencecon is delayed by a month. It's a pure self-inflicted injury here where they could have just delayed the whole thing. Like no one is losing, no one's going, ⁓ Defencecon, should have announced that yesterday. they've chose that date. they then chose to hit that date. They then haven't hit that date essentially because it's not working fully. I think just like don't impose such strict. Oh my God. My watch just started strobing. Random. Oh sorry I forgot. It's our dance break segment. on. Going back to new players and wanting to put forward the best representation of the game. So obviously yes, completely agree. If something's not working we shouldn't be showing to the newest. ⁓ players that you want to adopt into the system. But is the game also appealing with, because usually it will be like, is a vehicle. But this time around, and they've done it a few times now, the veteran player is getting the dragonfly and the new player is getting some armour. If you were a new player, would you go, ⁓ that's just the thing. Whereas when I was a new player, the new, like having a second vehicle was a big hook. So yeah, okay, yeah, so cool. These are expensive, but I can get something for free that's tangibly good. But an armor set, really? As a referral reward, are we saying? Yeah, that's the current referral reward. It doesn't turn my head. I think if you're not an existing player, you're probably not thinking along those lines because you've got to buy something anyway. So yeah, so you're getting a ship to get into the game from the referral code. And then you then get something cool alongside of it. I think it's a good one to try and appease to the existing player. ⁓ know, because I'm sure not me, but if I'm thinking completely objectively here that there's someone out there being like, how come I've supported the game and brought new funds into your system and yet they get the same thing I do? It just doesn't make any sense. ⁓ Like, not that people who say that sound like that, but that's some reason that the voice that came into my mind. ⁓ But you know, potentially they've got, ⁓ let's try and appease the existing player over and then the other new players still get something new other than just more credits to start with, which by the way, I feel like it's the biggest scam ever because that's like two pieces of armor and a cruise bottle. like, think surely it should be something a little bit more than that. But yeah, 50,000 never made any sense to me. I mean, if anything, it's only appealing to players that already players that want an auto account to feed into the road in 30 days later. It's just can't help but feel it's a bit of marketing hype. Smith of Dreams has just said, I think that every player should get a multi-tool. Yeah, absolutely. Functional, something that's useful, There should be a base kit that you get as a brand new player. You should get multi-tool, an armor set, a weapon, a couple of mags, a like a care package. A med pen or two. Med pen or two, a couple of cruise bottles, like just the basics. get you going so you know, ⁓ I have to drink in this game. I have to eat in this game. I've got to get ammo that looks like this. I blah, blah. And then they'll instantly go accustomed to like what an item looks like, how to manage different parts of their inventory, because they've had to put a weapon into that slot. They've had to get food out to drink it or eat it or whatever. So like all these mechanics would be beneficial to teach them because the tutorial is I don't know. I don't know. I haven't actually play the tutorial since they redid it, but I think it needs to be done again, to be honest, because things are changing so much. But realistically, like the best way to do it is just give people the stuff that they're going to use and hope that they instantly learn to use it. They should probably also spawn as a brand new player should spawn rather than just an undersuit with the armor on and stuff in their backpack, maybe. Or, you know, at least least guide them to go and learn how to use the inventory system. But there should definitely be more for new players. I understand they don't want to do too much account bound stuff. So I don't mind too much if the referrals for the new players is just an armor set. I don't mind that too much, but I think in game there should be a whole bunch of stuff that's on that new account, not just 50,000 AUC. It should be 150K and loads of other like little goody packs so they can learn how to actually use the stuff in the game. Also, it's something like, if you come back into a game, like if you're a returning player, for example. There's so many different games out there that if you're a returning player, they go, welcome back. Here's some things for you while you are gone. You know, just as a goody pack, like, so as a new player, you want to come in and be like, oh, a piece of candy. That's what it is, isn't it? You want those small wins. You want the small moments of, oh, that's cool. Oh, that's cool. You want those hooks that keep you going and keep you going again and again. So having those things, those little incentives will be massive rather than just, there's so many videos I've watched of I tried Star Citizen for the first time. And the first 10, 15 minutes of it was, I was lost. I didn't know where I was going. I died of oxygen deprivation. I didn't put my helmet back on. I died of starvation. I fell off the edge of a platform. I fell through the floor. But eventually I found someone who taught me how to play the game. And they're not teaching how to play the game. They're teaching you how to avoid the bugs to get the most out of the game from the things that are broken. We are, as the player base, propping up the new players. If it wasn't for us, the player new player experience would be as broken as Smith of Dream says that it still is. You know, you need the current players of the end and it's a nice community. I'm not saying like every single person you're ever going to meet on Star Citizen is nice because I've met plenty of nasty people, but the majority are lovely people. And if you put in chat, I'm brand new. How do I do X, Y, Z? Almost certainly someone will respond and tell you how to do it. You'll probably get the few people that say press alt and go third person to make you alt F4 out of the game. There'll be a few of those. But the majority of people are going to tell you exactly what you need to know. I mean, it still happens to me. person that's been about the game since 2014, I've been playing pretty much nonstop for the last three or four years ever since it kind of became more of a playable product. even I was like, oh, when the Ironclad came out, I couldn't figure something out. And I put straight in chat, was like, hey guys. I'm having this issue with the ironclad. know how to get around that? Within 10 seconds, someone said, oh, GFA press this, then press this and then do this. Instantly worked for me. I was like, thank you so much. People are kind. They want to help you. We want more people to play the game. There's no gatekeeping here. The more people that play Star Citizen, the better for everyone involved in the project. And the more eyes on the project and the more people we get to play with and against. more people that can crew my Odin if I get one. Yeah. Refer back to one of our previous episodes for more information on the Odin. Yeah, it was pretty much turn it off and on again. But the point is that, yeah, we want new players to be enticed into the game. And unless you know someone that's already playing, it's very tough to get into this game now. There's so much, very different from when I first started playing. And I could pretty much figure it out on my own with that much help about three, four, five years ago. It wasn't too difficult to understand. There's a lot more now. So yes, there needs to be more for new players and refer players for sure. Yeah. So I think with the free flight not going ahead, the right, like overall right decision. Yeah. Means those new players don't come in and are just then handheld by us completely. Or just get frustrated, don't bother coming back. Especially with us being so close, potentially TM, maybe to squadron 42. And then inevitably from Squadron 42, the persistent universe will become busier. Because people will go to Squadron and then, you know, I'm almost expecting it at the end of it and they go, continue your journey in the persistent universe. Use this, this code here to go straight to setting up your persistent universe account, which you'll get a free this for completing the game. Okay, thank you. Like that kind of thing. And all of a sudden Squadron 42 comes out and we go, oh, there's so many new people. And then one dark flies around in his ironclad and just scoops them all up with the hanger bay open. Sorry Pete, what were going to say? Go ahead. So I was going say there was something that was quite good that they did a while back and that was the career packs that were available. So if you went to buy like a Cutlass Red, it would come with the medical pack. Now obviously Cutlass Red expensive, But they also had that attached to the CCUs. I still have a couple of these. They weren't necessarily like war bonds savings, you're not going to make loads of stuff on them. But they had... the stuff that were on it. and I've got a couple of chains where I use those CCUs and I've ended up with loads of stuff on my account, but they did have the multi-tools, they did have the medical guns, they had everything that you need to have like the salvaging components. ⁓ Yeah, they were really good. And I think they should be leaning into those a bit more. So like you've got a salvager, what's little salvation that should come with the stuff you need to hand salvage as well. Yeah. You did a good job of holstering that yawn, by the way. I saw. Oh, thanks, man. I appreciate it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I felt it coming and I was like, is this too obvious? I was like, he's so rude. What do you think, Chad? How would you want, if you were a new player, how would you want to be welcomed in? Like, the skill ceiling is so high for a new player. Once we've been playing it few years, I mean, for us, it's more like they've implemented something new. doesn't work, we need to find a workaround or work out how it works. So the inventory system now looks really nice, but to us older players, it's like, I'm a bit confused. Why is this not working the way that it used to? Like, why can't I drag this and drop it in there? Why have I got to drag it to circle? And it's like, it looks nice, but functionality wise, it's not there because I'm used to how it was. I haven't got a clue when it comes to some of the stuff now. I have actually accidentally clicked about six months ago on played the tutorial and I was like, why is this door not opening? Why is this door still not opening? And after five minutes, I was like, and I quit out, I come back in the game, it forced me back into that same position. I was like, this door is not working, something else is wrong. And then I noticed there's a tiny little marker saying, put your helmet on. Now take it off, eat the sandwich. I was like, once you're done with that, then you can exit your hab. And I did feel at the time, like, this is not. as a player who knows what to do, clearly not, but knows something about the game and what to do, I'm getting confused why this door's not opening. ⁓ So where does the new player stand with that? So there does need to be a bit more signposting and spoon feeding to newer players, especially. ⁓ It could be that if you've ever played FIFA, they have the trainer run, and it's like, this is what you can do. be an overlay you can switch on and off like you've spent six months away from the game you've got burnt out you've come back maybe it's two three years we still speak finding players i've not played in eight years or i've got a kickstarter pack that i've just you know i've not played since what's it like they come back in it's a completely different world for them so to have that trainer overlay on would potentially be quite useful i think like what some games do really well and this might link in nicely to their vision of 1.0 because they're talking about having a in persistent universe story mode, aren't they? So to speak, I say quotation marks, where you can get from start to finish and earn your citizenship, so to speak. Like ⁓ what some games do really well is they have a voiceover or someone that you're talking to you, but like something in your ear that somebody's chatting to you about and go, hey, don't forget to stick your helmet on before you head out. Like, yeah, I'll pick up with you later because surely as part of a story mode, there needs to be characters and narrative and people that you will regularly address. So maybe part of that intro is them going, hey, there. Hey there, fighter pilot, get yourself out there and let's get going. But don't forget to grab your stuff before you go, you know, you're man. yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah. In the monologue. So I was thinking, oh, I shouldn't forget my helmet before I go outside. Even in a monologue or they're literally just tracking someone on an earpiece when they're going for their first day of flight training or something, you know, like, hey, don't worry, don't worry, fella slugger. That's all the word I was looking for. Hey, slugger, get yourself up, you know, go get your stuff. And slum15 said a short form content similar to the mission intro videos would be cool. Yeah. I just think a short form mission. think a new player should start not in the Habs. I think if you're a brand brand new player, it would be amazing if you started like on on a moon or even at a space station at Seraphim or whatever you've picked your home station to be. If it's the very first time you've ever played the game and you click play the tutorial wherever you should start in a space station and your mission should be to fly down to the your, um, your, you know, your place, I think. So I've got completely derailed by whatever's going on in chat at moment, because I haven't seen it and you guys are laughing at something. No, he opened the yawned and it's you're in this contagious, it? And then so I'm holster in my yawn and I was like, the whole time was like, this is so rude. And then I laughed at him because he was holstering his yawn and he was there trying not to laugh at me having openly yawned. Tell me getting older, Quarter to 10. Sorry, bedtime. Speak for yourselves, chaps. Yeah, no, I see what mean. So like put them into an exciting position where it's not like, ⁓ here's a hat ball. You find yourself, you wake up, you sweep in the street and you go, ⁓ Joe, there's space up there. Let's go visit it. I used to be an adventurer like yourself. And then I took a Gladius to the knee. There is other ways they could do it as well. They could have like, what's the, some of the games have like a encyclopedia of things to do. And it's doing it again, ain't it? I saw it. I thought I'd bear with that one. So yeah, you go into your menu system, like you've got your journal, if you like your stuff, but it could be something that's like, okay, back to basics, mining, cool, let's go mining and it's got subcategories. Yeah, you do it all from inside the Mobi glass. That way there's at least something for you. And an incentive to complete, an incentive to complete it as well. Like you get to the end of it, you get a congratulations, you've passed the the starter, like a small fish in a big pond, like achievement or accomplishment, you get some basic stuff to set out in the verse since you've done a little bit of everything. You've done a salvage mission, a mining mission. ⁓ know, there lots of the comments in chat have been fantastic in just making sure they do a little bit of everything ⁓ and they get to the end of it. And that's the incentive to get to the end of it. You know, obviously, if you're an experienced player and you're jumping in at 1.0, I go, even an experienced player, they might go, ⁓ but I want that. So actually I'll do the tutorial so at the end of it I can have the thing and then carry on and Yeah, Smith the dream says I think squadron 42 will be much of the tutorial we told we get a transferable LTI on completion of service in issue. Yes Yeah, which will be interesting interesting indeed but yes, I'm need whole squadron 42 just to introduce you to the P you I'd do it. I'd do it. I hope everyone plays it. I think it's going to be like, I think it's going to be a really, really good single player. I know that the majority of people, and I said this, I did a video recently about GTA being a problem for Squadron and what Chris Roberts is comments in it on it. And I kind of landed on the fact that I don't think Squadron is actually going to release this year ⁓ personally because of GTA, if I'm being totally honest, but that's a whole nother podcast. I mean, if you want to see it. So About that, I lurk a lot on X and someone had found a job listing for the IT head of department and part of like what are going to be your roles and responsibilities about the job, one of which was a fully costed plan that revolves around the Squadron 42 release window. It's like... Interesting. Yeah, but it is May. It is May and we should know. In fact, there's a there's a verified leak that GTA pre-orders will be hitting tomorrow. reason, the only reason behind this and is relevant, I guess, to what the original point was going to be. But the reasons, the only reason I think is I think if it was going to if they were going to release it, it's different platforms. Right. You got PC, you got console. GTA is not going to be in PC for at least a year, I imagine. And Squadron Probably won't be on console as far as we know they want to put it on console But as far as we know it's not going to be a console release So there shouldn't be much of a crossover But there's no question that GTA whether you like Grand Theft Auto or not GTA is one of the biggest IPs in the world played Probably the one of the best-known games of all time or franchises There's no question that it will completely take over the internet of gaming on streams on articles on YouTube on everything for about a month to two to three months probably, right? It's going to be the talk of the town. What you don't want to do is release a game like Squadron that's had so much build up to being probably one of the most incredible projects being completed and released ever to be completely shrouded from a publicity standpoint, not necessarily from a gamer standpoint, because Star Citizen people will play Squadron, but it's the people that are not brought into the project yet that really matter about ⁓ whether it comes out this year or not. And my thought is if they wanted to get it out this year, the only real viable option to keep the hype and everything would be to release it before GTA. And to do that, it would have to be October. And if they were going to release it in October, I feel like we would have had a CitizenCon because it would have been perfect to have that and the release of Squadron, which then puts it in December's window around Christmas, which would be a terrible time to release this game. So that's my opinion of it, but... I hope to God I'm wrong because I can't wait for it. I'm not trying to be negative for the sake of being negative. I want it to come out more than anything and every star citizen player that says they're not interested in squadron, you should still want it to do well because it is so important that squadron does well for the future of star citizen. So we should all be pushing that game to kingdom come whether we play it or not. I personally can't wait to play it, but I know there's a lot of people that just want the PU irrelevant. We want squadron to do well. So Whatever decision they make around that is fine. But ⁓ what do you guys think? I know it's not part of what we talk about today, but they're delaying the free fly. So let's talk about squadron a little bit. Hey, you talk first. I've spoken enough already. It's difficult. I kind of agree with everything he's just said, which is just, yeah, it is. Yeah. How'd you build on that? I think It's difficult because you've got a battle between what you hope for and what you rationally think will happen if you're thinking like in a black and white sense, because realistically, also slightly biased because I have some time off coming up. Exactly time off, I will have a small salmon mark too to be caring for and my wife and a lot of stuff to do, but I will not be in work from June the 19th through till like... May, no, March of next year, not May, March. So you get the chance to do that, Which is great. I to time with my wife and my daughter and just building that relationship, the connection. But as part of that, that also means that in the second half of the year, you've got stuff releasing like Dawn of War 4, Fable, the new Fable, and potentially Squadron 42. So slightly selfishly, hope, lifetime insurance CD. And it's more like a monthly subscription that gets more and more expensive. as she gets older and then hopefully then you get reap some dividends for that and then it gets expensive again. And some halo maybe. are four. Oh, it's going to And which are four. Yeah. So absolutely. Nope. Needs upping the concierge level to... sounds too to be true. It does sound too good to be true. I think... I cast the spell colic. No. I know, I know if you know what that is right now, but if it happens to you, you're going to know. Unfortunately, I do. And if it does happen, then it'll be over. All the dads in chat are probably like, oh, I can't believe you've just cast that horrible spell on him. Cast colic on it. I've heard that. Who are you? my research. I hope that does not happen. But yeah, but ultimately and realistically considering the fact that he's literally come out and said that the big thing is happening this year, that everyone's been, the thing's around. I think he's using that as his excuse for when they eventually go, it'll be next year. Or it'll still be next year. I see your collar, can I raise your punami once weekly? At least this once weekly, I've got seven days to mentally reset. Me and my wife, one of us from whoever found it would shout breach. And whatever the other one was doing, you had to drop and run like, so breach, like coming with nappies and wipes and bags and wallpaper because it was everywhere. I know, like a, what is it, like the fucking suits for biohazard and waste areas. Just has that suits. That's it. Yeah. But yeah, so I, either that, or I think to appease the player base, what they'll do is they will release Squadron 42 next year, but we'll get a slice that we can play before the end of the year. Us, maybe the backers that currently back and then some select. streamers or influencers or high end people so they can get a taste of the game and get hype building for it when they do release it. ⁓ That's realistically what I think will happen, but the hopium is still strong. So, I guess we're gonna start closing out. This got like just under 10 minutes, but there is one unsung hero so far this DefenseCon, and I've sent you the link to bring it up, but that is the the Grey's Shiv body kit collection. ⁓ yeah. Mad Max AF. It looks incredible. And Hyperion. done Hyperion. Long standing friend of the channel. yeah, I've got them up on my screen right now. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Enhance. Interesting clapping going on there. was the pace of it was uncanny. Enhance the colour. Whoa, now we're alone. So yeah, I haven't seen this yet. This is news to me. This, I mean, the price is good, but this is crazy. That's giving me that one there is giving me that's giving me someone's broken apart a starfighter and stuck on a ship. It's giving me Optimus Prime in Transformers 2 when he takes part of that. ⁓ dude. Yeah. R71 and puts all the pieces on then he can fly. That's he's given me. is like let's roll and then he flies off. Yeah, that's that's that's the vibe I'm getting. I love this one. It's very skeletal. If you hit that arrow in the bottom right, it'll open big. Lars says in chat it gives Reavers from Firefly vibes. Yes, it does, especially that one. So someone else said something in chat, where was this? Slightly further up, saying that they hope that this is the case for all ships, that they do something like this for a lot of ships. You know what? I'd love that. Maybe this is their way of going like, hey, I know this ship needs a rework. or something like that. Let's just say you can decide how your rework is. We've decided three different ones with a mash of different bodywork. You choose which one do you want? And then that'll add maybe some variation to the ships that we see in the verse. Which I think is what I like about this. Because you know, when you see a Connie, a Connie is a Connie. It's never going to look any different. And I know some people are desperate for in the game for there to be customization, like ultimate customization. ⁓ This gives as close to that feeling as I think we're ever going to get. Realistically. Yeah, I think the way that the balancing of the game works and the way that every ship has to be correctly designed to fit into the lineup of all the hundreds of other ships. Yeah. I don't think we're ever going to get to a point where we can completely customize the exterior of our ship. I agree. And put on, you know, massive blades at 20 feet long and Whatever, you know, because there'll be ways that we can cheese the hit box. There'll be all sorts of things that you can do. So I think that it just brings a lot of issues for them if they do that. Agreed. But I wouldn't mind seeing some ships having some kind of infrastructure like like this, where you do have the customization, where you can just rivet on stuff. You know where you can mount a poster to certain parts of a wall and stuff like that? If you just had maybe parts that you could attach other parts. And you know, maybe if you made it too heavy, it's gonna be weighed down. So you have to worry about the weight of things But it would be really cool if you could trip ships ships back and it would actually have a tangible difference But yeah, that is um, that's really cool. I can't believe I haven't seen this yet. It is very Reavers Super cool that top left one is just it's just doing it for me. No, they I'm sorry They have literally taken this from firefly. There's a harpoon gun Rest in peace my guy Wash. There's a freaking, there's a harpoon gun. That is, whoever designed this has gone, I watch Firefly. And I'm usable. Could you imagine, could you imagine, you can harpoon other ships and just cling onto the back of them? Like you come out the back to an Odin, you go undetected, you go stealth, clip yourself to the back, turn off all your engines and just let it drag you. That'd be amazing. That'd be so cool. That was a Jimmy Carr laugh. So CJ Radley in chat says, hi CJ, thanks for commenting on the podcast, mate. Glad to have you here. Do you see this being the greys feature going forward or would you like it to branch out? I would like it to branch out, but I think it's going to stay greys. I think it, you know, it suits the aesthetic of greys. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think we'd like to see Origin 600s and stuff with barbed wire on the front. I don't think Origin would want to, because that would be an admission that the ship wasn't good enough to begin with. You know what mean, it needs to fit with the designer ethos. Oh, Astro Dude, raiding with a party of 44. How was your stream, my friend? Hello, raiders. How you been getting on? saw the Argo moth. being the best daily driver as the title and I was keen to see what that was and I haven't had time to catch up so... The Argo Moth is a salvage ship mate. don't know if you've seen it before but... ⁓ Have you seen this Ash? We're talking about the the Shiv body kit collection and everyone else from Ash's stream. Feel free to weigh in. We're talking about would we like to see this go into other manufacturers or like as in being able to customise our ships. to this extent very firefly Reaver as who was it instead in chapter Smith of dreams that mentioned that ⁓ Which was a great shout Lars. think it was a shout laws. Yeah, very firefly, but we'll mold please Would we like to see this on other? Manufacturers, would you like to take your other? No Aegis Idris? Imagine an interest that is covered in like Bob wire and also I mean it would be cool great as a pirate It does make me think that maybe there'll be a thing where Grey's Market has commissioned their own Idris and you need to defend it as they get it from somewhere to somewhere. And it is just plastered and stuff like that. It's like they've gone to a junkyard, turned a magnet on in the center of the Idris and just gone, whoop, and gone, completed. Nice, Grey's Market Idris. And then just gone for it. This one, this one's doing things to me, I love this. That's beautiful. It's probably my favorite because there's not as much going on. That one... I mean, as I said, like the harpoon that is literally that is Reaver territory left, right and centre. I think it's great. This one feels like, I'll be honest, this one's my least favourite. It feels like if I put it into AI and told it to randomly generate stuff on the ship, there's a bit too much going on with all these blades. I'm not sure, but I get it. It looks like teeth. So I understand it. I'm not saying it's AI. Do you think that teeth work if you scoop up a person? You just have a load of bodies stuck to the front of the ship and it's like Vanduul. You could just use a tractor beam, put Vanduul on the front and it is stuck on the blades like this. Now, yeah, if you could like pierce a corpse and just stick them on the front. Yes, mate. For audio listeners, we're talking about in-game. ⁓ sorry, I to audio listeners on Spotify. If we could just pierce a corpse. ⁓ And stick it to the front of my ship, it'd be perfect. Yeah, for audio lists it's in-game. Star Citizen, Vanduul, they are enemy aliens. No worries. Everything's fine. I think Ash has dropped one of the best ship ideas in chat, especially for Grey. Something I would buy into the Vulture with two size 9s instead of salvage arms. But when it shoots, it goes back like 5k every time it shoots. It's like... Yeah. That would be incredible. And if it fired intermittently. It would just feel like two arms that fly. It'd be like Superman. Yeah. Amazing. And if you could move them around independently as well. they're literally just like doing this. What is it? Robot wars or what's that? Yeah. Yeah. Rock and sock and robot. Exterminate. ⁓ God. CJ, yeah. Like Predator Wildlands with bodies and skulls and the pipes. Exactly. Exactly that. Mad Max Citizen, Cans27 said. ⁓ One of the Raiders, absolutely, absolutely, 100%. I think that'd be six. But I think to go from what I was saying before, they might do it, but it will only be certain manufacturers. Like I can see Drake doing this. Like maybe their thing is Drake sees this happen and goes, I can't believe Grey's Market have done that before we have. And then all of a sudden you can do this on something like a Cutty Black, Cutler Steel, Cutty Red, et cetera, et cetera. know. But do you think you feel that way because the way we see Drake? And because the Drake, this is a Drake ship essentially, like the ship is basically a bastardized cutlass, right? So like, do you not feel that's why you think it's Drake? Like, but if there was a 600i there with a corpse on the front of it and barbed wire wrapped around the bottom, I would feel a bit like, ⁓ I'm not sure. That would be the only reason I'd ever buy a 600i. But no, no, you're making sense. That's probably a good point. ⁓ Yeah, no, you're probably right on that one. But it would be interesting to see if they do because if people like this and to make a black and white business point of view, people like this and they buy it, then someone in CID goes, ⁓ this little skits got him for the center and plenty of zeros on the bank balance. Maybe we should do this some more with some other manufacturers. You know what I'm saying? And then the origin guy goes, you're not possibly putting that near my ship, sir. You can do one. The Drake guy goes. Yeah, all right, mate. Yeah, you stick down my cutty black and we'll go sailing. Yeah. And then the RSI goes, let me talk to my manager and I'll get right back to you. You know, these kind of things. Chris Chippone. Hey, I'm going to put a body kit on a Drake ship. You know what I'm saying? Anyway, thank you for listening to my five part audio series with myself inside Star Citizen. yeah, depends. Twinkies head citizen. Yeah. Yeah. Inside my head citizen. Do it for Jenny. absolutely, Spectre. Do it for Jenny. 100%. What's this, Mangus? ⁓ Mangus? They're sold out in every sale event, like a minute after release. So I managed to bag both over time. ⁓ And the only way that I was able to do, with store credit, may I add, ⁓ is by getting internet clocks up. Now, if you look into the session now, But if you right click onto your clock and go to adjust date and time, you can go down and synchronize your time. I would suggest doing that right before. And that way you've got your clock down there, correct. You bring up one or two internet clocks at the same time. And the second that clicks over, that's where you hit the F5 button, but you're ready. Ideally, you're gonna get it in your basket on the first round. And then you've got the second and third rounds to attempt to try and get it through. We've got it. I've just gone and synced my time. Yeah, I just literally I didn't know you could do that. I've just done it. I'm like, what is this? I thought I was always on time. Is time not real time? No. Mate, apparently I've been 20 minutes out for the last 12 years of my life. No wonder I keep when they said Star Citizen's a time sink? It steals time from your device. ⁓ my goodness. Uncle Malky said, looking forward to the Shiv R M80. What if Grey's is a Drake subsidiary to get rid of liabilities from selling jank like they really want to? If there's like some background lore where it's actually somebody who's yeah, that's sick. I like that. Yeah, that'd be good. CJ, you just have to alter time and space to really get one. The RSI store at the final frontier. One more point before we wrap up then. If they could take another Drake ship, the Greys, and turn it into another like completely shredded version of it like they did with the Cutlass essentially, right? What Drake ship would you like to see? is gonna be boring. This is going be a really boring one, but they've already given us the engines of the Valkyrie. The what? They really gave us the engines of the Valkyrie on the Shiv. Sorry, what's that second word you're there? They've given us the what? Can I get an engines in chat? What engine? Sorry, chat. Has anyone heard of an engine before? Don't bullies. I can't say engine without going engine. You can say engine. Engine is even better. Okay. Oh my gosh. Even Ash is jumping on the train. How do you say engine? Okay, so it's about time they gave us the rest of the Valkyrie. With cutlass engines. Engines man. Engines? My wife turned to me and went engine. We love you. The tank engine gets cyberbullied. Oh, I think for me, it would have to be something that's so the other way. it's like, oh, like an 890, a Grey's 890 and they just batter it down and it looks like the inside of a dead planet or something. It's just completely scraped back. Oh, you mean a bit like the Reclaimer mission? Where they took the Reclaimer and they just completely alienated the inside of it. Lars has already asked for AstroTurf and the white picket fence. I feel like you've got to bring up your anger. go, hi, neighbour. Hello, neighbour. Oh, hey. How's the wife? Yeah, that's a good shout about your Drake CEO is the lead of the Zeto threat. I mean, it's good for business. Great for business. Makes sense. It's divisive. You get two separate sides, you can sell the same thing to both side. Someone at the CIG tomorrow is like, put that in the law. CJ also had the battle pillar, which would be amazing. A caterpillar that has been absolutely shredded. That would be really cool. But then he did also go to say, can't find the engine oil. And then Screamer said, this is why Wondax cars keep breaking down. Oh man. I got an engine for you. Grey's Herald but an even more massive engine. Thanks, Cairns. Massive engine. I only missed a row. How many engines does it take to change a bucket? I'm waiting for pizza but like, and we're out of time. Thank you for coming to the corner. No, we're going, we're going. We've got 30 people in chat. So I'm happy to keep going. Yeah, dude. that was amazing. is the where you see it start whittling down, whittling down and then BOOSH! Someone else comes and raids. Yeah. ⁓ my goodness. No, but I think, I think that'd be cool. It'd be interesting to see where they, ⁓ my cheeks are hurting. ⁓ that's actually really tickling Whilst he's massaging his cheeks, chat, throw some topics at us. Let's go. You may massage your cheeks. For our audio listeners, there means the one on my face. Yeah, for anyone on Spotify, this is an Apple podcast. There was another source on our podcast that said from an unknown app. wanted to know. Pornhub. Pornhub. Audio listeners on Pornhub. I'm massaging my face cheeks. I thought I'd blur that every time now. Oh, no. No, I'm joking. Maybe, actually, maybe I should bleep that. don't know if that monetizes it. C.D.O. kit. That's funny. In my head, I that as suddenly butt massage. ⁓ my gosh, out of nowhere, butt massage. Have you seen the inside of the engine in the command module? Yes, yes we have. We have, it's gorgeous. That's the way it's like offset and everything with the pistons. The ironclad is probably the most detailed ship we've had, I would say, in the game. when you walk around, I know there's bigger ships, I know there's bigger ships, we have a lot going on, but when you look at like a plate by plate, small or meter by meter block of the ship you look at a wall you look at a component bay i don't i don't think there's anything more other than maybe like one of the alien ships but i don't think there's anything more in depth than the ironclad i think like when you go around it you don't ever get that moment of like say if you're in a plow rest i got back in a plow rest for the first time in a long time last night and i was going through and i was like corridor same corridor the same corridor like coming from the the the the bridge back to the hangar I was like, have I just come through here? Have I just lagged back a minute? And it's the same, you know, there's repetitiveness. Whereas when you're inside the ironclad, you're like, none of these hallways feel like the others. Like at any point, there's always some distinguishing factor of it. Everything looks different. And Smith of Dream says, I think the clipper is detailed. yeah. The ironclad is just, they've taken the design language and they've beautifully implemented it in a way that is so gorgeously Drake, but keeps you so interested in every part of the ship. I love it. I think it's really started since the Zeus. Like they really cooked with the Zeus. I think the the other artists must have been like, ⁓ god, thanks to Montreal like for doing that for us. Now we have to keep this standard up. Because I think George is absolutely right. So Einclads is huge. It's so easy to have a bigger ship, but with less detail per square metre of the ship. But they have nailed it. His atmospherics, even on the window, you get a reflection of the like an accurate reflection behind you. And we've only seen that coming out with mirrors. But now you can actually get it from from windows as well. And it's just like, it was something I noticed. I was like, just looking out over the bay. I was like, okay, this is actually really cool. It's just adding to the experience. It has 12 engines. Thanks. Yes, he has missing paints. Yes, we are more than aware of that. But let's face it, they're going to fix that. Yeah, it's just it's a hiccup. I mean, I've seen content of one content creator. Weird, I'm not playing this game because my matey paints on his fine bro. Like, no one asked but why I think he's just he's turning like really almost narcissistic. It's like no one cares what you think that much. You've missing a couple of paints you are literally throwing the baby out with the bath water. Just you know, and they're a content creator. I with the ironclad, like the fact that it's a bit buggy, I know because it's not quite the operational right now. That's not necessarily an artistic design language issue at all. That's obviously a mechanical issue that's just, whether it's server related or there's just a bug in the code, whatever, right? So I get that there's issues like the command module popping off in quantum and they're aware of it. They're fixing it right. It needs a large test data to pick some of those things up. So that's fine. I'm talking more of a design language. I'm talking more of an art style. The detail of the ship, which is unquestionably impeccable. just, it's when you're walking around and you see the tubes, like the steel, not steel, but the the ducts that are running through the ship and down. And then there's like a whole section of like pistons. And I'm like, they do nothing. They do nothing. They have nothing to do with anything important. but you can see it all operationally working and it is beautiful. And I'm like, that is the kind of detail that to me, I love to see in a ship and the M80 as well is just something of a beautiful design. So yeah, they're leveling up and it does make me feel a little bit sad of those older ships. Like when you jump into one of your favorite ships from a time gone by, like a Connie or a Freelance or whatever, and you're like, God, this is dated. I really want them to redo it. And you know, you're a ways away till they have the time and the capacity to go back and do that. Yeah, man. But excited. I'm just waiting for my I'm waiting for my Odyssey. I can't lie. I'm waiting for my Odyssey. I think like I'll completely agree with that point because so many times in ships what they could do is they could put a great and underneath it just be dark or black or there's just nothingness, you know, but ultimately somebody somebody one of these in these awesome like ship creators and designers has gone out there and gone, I'm going to go underneath these panels and I'm going to show every little bit in detail of what's going on. So when you walk around that ship like this going, Hey man, have you seen the floor? Yo bro, or it's insane. Like you could do that at any part of the ship and it would be insane. know, I'm looking forward to see, I need to jump in with VR really and see what that looks like in VR. Like we've saw from the 3D laptops we had from Asa for the, for the LAN party that we saw details in games that otherwise just isn't there. like even for like Baldur's Gate, you've got a tree that comes across the screen, like just 2D, you just see a tree, right? But with 3D, you see through the tree. And I think when you've got the greats like that, if you've got that 3D tech through VR, you're going to see even more of what's behind it because you get that real sense of depth. yeah, they really, really did well. Agreed. I agree. agree. I agree. I agree. Great film. Amaze, amaze, amaze. Amaze, amaze. I am in love. Are you in love? I am in love also. Okay. Shall we end question?
