Quantum Dispatch: Hello everyone and welcome back to the Quantum Dispatch Podcast. This is technically Season 1. Since we've gone over to Spotify, we've sort of rejigged a few things. Episode 2. And today we're going to be talking about 4.7, now that it's out and in people's hands on the live servers, and also the 4.8 roadmap and much more. But before we get into that, I am today joined with CJ Radley. Of course, I am GFA Plays. We don't have Pete, One Dark Enigma. or Jack, Swanky Fisherman here this evening. It's just the two of us. CJ, how have you been, my friend? All the better that that Pete and Swanky are not here. It's a lot more quiet, a lot more chill, you know. No, I played Star Citizen the first time in forever and I had fun. It's pretty good. Obviously, we're going to we're going to cover some of that though. What I did shortly, but I'm good. ⁓ bit busy, busy at work, you know, the normal stuff. And what about yourself? You made an appearance at DreamHack. how did that go down? Yeah, DreamHack was great. was, so we're there supporting Verpal, obviously, sponsor of the channel. And we, we basically helped them in regards to getting everything lined up and building out the rigs and such. And then we supported them in getting people in the seats in the hot seats and racing and trying different parts. There was a bunch of games. We had Star Citizen. There was I or two sort of all the flight sim stuff. And ⁓ yeah, it was it was a lot of fun. And I think everyone had a really good time. So, yeah, DreamHack was great. Sadly, because we were all so busy and it was so busy, ⁓ I didn't actually get much of a chance to go and venture out into the actual convention and enjoy everything that was there, of which there was tons. But ⁓ It was it was really good. It's a shame you couldn't go. But next time we should all for all four of us should go down for sure. Yeah, well, I've I've just been off the phone with with one duck, actually. And if if if you're driving and you're listening to this, you're boring. not anyone else listening. Just one dog. I should caveat that with. Yeah. And I was saying and we were saying that next year we have to go like. This is almost like a business like order. Like we will have to go down. If we can make it, you have to go. ⁓ I will be down for it. Obviously it will be down, ⁓ potentially supporting again, ⁓ supporting verbal, whoever else, ⁓ like sponsor wise, the, the rigs that that verbal have and the rigs that, that we can have them facilitate and bring to these locations are ⁓ bloody awesome. so much tech on there. If you considered getting a rig. like a a Sim rig and you just don't want to spend like they can be anywhere from like two thousands with a minimum one but once you put everything on they're like four or five six grand on what easily and if you want to have a play with one and you know you can sit down in it for like 20 minutes and get like a proper feel for how the sticks feel for how the seats are for how everything's laid out and if there's something you want to potentially invest in I'd urge you to get down to one of our events or DreamHack next year ⁓ and have a go ⁓ because it's a lot of money and you may not like it. I've tried a rig out and I don't like it. So and I tried it. So I've not wasted that money now buying it. ⁓ But yeah, we're going to make a point on trying to make sure we're all there next year because it's so good. ⁓ as well as for the networking and you know, the other stuff, the boring social media stuff, ⁓ as well, but to actually get hands on chat to people, share out some referral codes. yeah, it's, it's, it's really, cool. But, ⁓ yeah, no. What's next? Do you know if any other events are coming up that we're potentially looking at? Yeah. So I have a couple of friends in the creative space that did approach me at the event and said, Hey, look, we actually run these events, ⁓ ourselves. Shouldn't really be doing it at DreamHack, but at another event. I know them personally really well. So they were like, by the way, we've got something coming up in June and there is a potential. We haven't confirmed anything yet. So there is a chance that there will be an event in June where people can come and try out the rigs, but that's to be seen. But we also were talking with Verpal about trying to do something Star Citizen related towards the back end of the year. I think realistically, from our standpoint, we're just waiting to see what CIG do with CitizenCon. I think if CitizenCon is in another country, then we will probably do something here, unless it's like Germany and it's easy for us to get to. If there's a Squadron release CitizenCon in a country that we can get to, obviously we will want to go to the actual one that CIG hosts, so we'll go there. But if it's in Texas or Canada, I'm not paying too grand to fly. for it. Like I love this game. I'm not, don't have that disposable income to just drop on the flight. So I would rather host an event in this country, but it all depends on the time of the event. If it's in America and it's at two o'clock in the morning here, well, we're not going to find a venue that is open at that time. yeah. obviously anyone that's followed us for long enough knows that if we put an event on, it's going to be blimmin cool. ⁓ Obviously we've done an event with with with peaked already, I'm afraid. think if do something else, it's going to be it's going to be not as big, a little bit more personal and close knit, but it'll be equally as fun. And you'll come away with some equally good memories and all gifts or prizes. ⁓ So, yeah, if it is in America or Canada, then yeah, we're probably not going to be going to CitizenCon. We'll see. And it maybe might be able to work it out. But if not, then obviously, yeah, we'll potentially run a ⁓ UK based party or even a European based party if we depend on how it goes. ⁓ But that'd be really cool. Look forward to that. Do reckon they're going to have a squadrons? ⁓ A squadrons like different event or do reckon it's going to be CitizenCon, which encompasses SC and squadrons going forward? Or do reckon it's going to be like separate conventions? That's what you mean. I think for this year, CitizenCon will be the release of Squadron if it makes it in time. So let's say November, right, is when they usually do it, October, November. And they might push it to the sort of November, even maybe early December, and then do a CitizenCon release with Squadron. I don't think they would separate it this year. And going forward, there'd be no reason to do another convention for Squadron. So I think it whatever the I think it would just be sitcom based on what we know about how they put the events together ⁓ in regards to sort of how they fund it. Right. So I don't think they're going to have it split. I think it would be one event, CitizenCon, Bosch, and it will be the Squadron release, which is why I think it might end up being in Texas because they they did Manchester last year. But also Manchester is kind of the head studio. So would it not be Manchester again? And they have that amazing arena right next to their office, which is like makes everything easy for them. So I don't know. It might be Frankfurt. Who knows? It is to be seen. My guess was Montreal. Yeah, I've not had one in Montreal since they take they did the Turbine Takeover, they've not had one. there. But they don't they also don't have expo centers. Yeah, there's there's no location in the center of like Montreal, you'd have to go out of it. With something this big, with a squadron release, it will be it will be somewhere that's that's big, right? It will be a big venue. So it will probably be Manchester or Texas is my guess is because they're the two that have the best convention halls near their offices. Yeah. Maybe Germany. Germany does have some good ones. That's why Dreamhack Germany is there as well. So could very well be Frankfurt. But my guess would be Manchester or Texas. Now, of course, well, even if it's Manchester or Germany, we'll be there or we'll endeavour to be there. That's if we win the F5 World with tickets again, because that was a bit difficult last year. But yeah. What do you reckon? Do you reckon if... Do you CIG should allow us to assist with their event planning? You know, they saw our event, they should get us in there. We should be community liaisons. Like, we'd make it a really good event. I don't know why they don't like spending money because they like earning money and taking it off other people. But if they wanted people that could help create an event, then you know where we are. I like to think that if CIG did one in America, knowing that the UK audience, that not all of them would want to fly over. Just like not many Americans wanted to fly over from the States to the UK for the last one, because it's expensive, especially this year with everything going on around the world. Flights are very expensive. ⁓ I would not be shocked if we could speak to them, say, hey, look, we did a really good job. You were really happy. Could we maybe do the UK version for you and take some strain off you? But then they've got a huge workforce of really talented people. They'll probably just set up satellite. events themselves. So who knows is the answer to that question. hopefully a huge workforce, but a huge workforce that during that period of time is preoccupied. True, true. If you want, we could take stress. We can handle it. We can manage it. We can manage stress as long as it's not one dark causing the stress, which most of the time it is. But other than that, we can do it. We can deal with it. ⁓ We'll see. We will see. All right. So obviously last week, Pete and I sat here and spoke about four point seven and went through everything that was in the patch and that was about to hit the game. So I think we should probably touch on obviously now it's in people's hands. We should touch on what's come out and just sort of the the bits that are working and the bits that aren't. And then I think we should probably talk about four point eight because the road map has been released and it looks Pretty freaking cool. How does that sound to you, my friend? I agree. I agree. So, well, I've got it loaded up here on my screen. Fire away. Starting, obviously, the week, we started Monday with the this week in SC. So we see what's coming up and it said there in all of its glory, I'm doing the Trump hands, but I'm not doing the Trump progression. It said in all its glory, Wednesday, Alpha 4.7 launch. We had the date on the Monday that came with obviously the operation breaker stations. So basically the guides, there was a crafting guide that they pushed out and all that sort of stuff. So yeah, then they came out with all the Aurora stuff. So they added the Aurora paints and then I was scrolling through the Galactopedia updates. There's a million of them still going. ⁓ So many. But yeah, so then they jumped out at us with the ⁓ Aurora updates with 4.7 as well. Have you seen the Aurora stuff? What do mean the updates? So Aurora Mark 1 SE, so the special edition. ⁓ right. Which is basically all of the previous Mark 1 Auroras combined. So it has the cargo space of the CL, look at the, ⁓ and all the other bits. ⁓ So it's basically the most capable Mark 1 Aurora. ⁓ If you have one, you could just quite simply melt your current Aurora that you have and upgrade to a Mark 1 SE. Granted, it's a little bit more money, but it does everything the old ones do, but better. ⁓ But then they dropped the Mark 2 Aurora on us. They did. They dropped the itty bitty Scorpius clone. Which answers the question we had the previous week, those modules on the sneak peek. It was for the Aurora Mark 2. So it's a modular ship. Currently comes with a cargo module and then a combat module. I don't actually understand what the combat module is supposed to do. I think it has an additional like shield generator or something. Yeah, it's an extra shield generator and I think an extra missile pod. yeah. Yeah. So obviously it's got ⁓ the scone. Yeah. It could be called the scones, Frankie. And yeah. So it's got the focus for combat. And then there's also one focus for cargo, which is an addition to its internal cargo storage there has already. So makes it to a decent like day one cargo hauler, you know. If you just get into the game and all you've got is a Mark II, then it goes. works. Aurora Pierce as well with the Aurora Scorpius combination. yeah, so they... Have you seen the Mark II Aurora? Yeah, I've flown it. It's good. It looks pretty pretty. It's very pretty. It's very Dune-esque. It's very Omnicopter. I like it. Omni... Ornithopter. Is it not called an Omnicopter? No, it's someone in chat. correct me here, but I'm pretty sure it's an ornithopter. He's got a T in it. ⁓ yeah, or ornithopter. Yeah, there we go. Ornithopter. forehead back in the box. But it looks really nice. It retained a lot of the features from the Mark 1 as well. So it's kept some of the aesthetics. So obviously it shows you where it's come from. And as well as it's got the Aurora folded in wings. which means it obviously doesn't, you can't shoot because CIG have already said we've made it so it can't shoot because it's a smaller silhouette. It's a bit cheaty otherwise, isn't it? If you can just pull the wings in and your cross section was a lot lower and you can still shoot. But it's pretty cool. I'm not going to go through the components. If you want to have a look at the components, then they're online. But it's a Starship, right? So it's going to be in line with those components. Just does look. Really cool. Yeah. They released all of the paints for the mark ones to purchase. All of them bar one, I believe. I don't know. There is a paint that isn't on the store, I think, but they've released every other one so you can pick up all the mark one paints. But they did give us a bit of bad news. Yes. The sunset period. So Mark ones will be removed from the store and in game. they will be unpurchasable. Granted, that is in September or is it October? I think it's September. September. So that means you will not be able to buy one ever again after that point in time. They also did state that they're going to be pulling it from people's buybacks. So your CCUs and your buybacks of the Aurora Mark 1 will not be a thing. ⁓ Which is crap really because they didn't do that with the Mark 1 Hornets. They didn't say they were going to do it anyway. So I can imagine they're going to come out soon and say during this onset period the Mark 1 Hornet is also going to be pulled. ⁓ But it is stupid because people have paid for those ships and melted them for whatever reason to have them in their buybacks and then they can no longer pull them. Why do you think they're doing it? They're doing it because they're going to force people to craft them in game. So the same with the Mark 1 Hornets, I believe. What I think they're going to do is they're going to be the first ships that you craft in the game. They want the old dated ships. to be the ones that you craft first. So whether it's a crafting tutorial or a crafting mission or something, ⁓ or like the intro missions to some crafting faction might be craft an Aurora. And then when you craft it, it's in your hanger. So they might need it as a stepping stone to like get into it. But I believe they pulled the Mark 1 Hornets to do the same thing. ⁓ It doesn't make sense because you can just buy the better version. Yeah. So it doesn't make sense. It's the same price, give or take, right? It may be five dollars, ten dollars here or there. But, you know, as the Mark 1 and the Mark 2 variant versions of it, why on earth would you spend time crafting a Mark 1 version when you can buy the Mark 2? I'm not just talking about this RSI site. I'm talking about in-game as well. Unless when 1.0 comes out, every Mark 2 ship is not purchasable in the game. and you have to craft it and earn it and it's a stepping stone to get those ships then okay, makes sense. But then you have to take it off the store as well. You can't buy it in game. shouldn't be able to buy it in the store. I don't, I don't, no part of me can understand this decision. And I really wish someone at CIG would sit there and go, this is why we've done it. This is the vision. This is the purpose. Cause I can't, I physically can't get my head around it. So I'm going to take my optimist cap off right now. ⁓ And I'm going to tell I'm going say why I think it is. Because someone goes, oh, I don't want to spend money on the game. They can turn around and go, all right, well, you can craft all the vehicles. Go on, go craft. But it's going to be laborious and it's going to be boring. It's going to be crap. So now people are going to go, oh, tell you what, I'll just buy it instead of crafting these vehicles. And I know after one point, no, it's not really going to be a thing because allegedly, there's not going to be purchasable or there's not gonna be pledges and stuff for ships at that point. There will be there always will be. But if they release something that's difficult to do in game, it kind of shoe horns you into paying for it to fast track that progress. And we've been in the stars as community years. We know people will pay to get out of content wherever they can. ⁓ So if they can go or we if if someone's got like one ship and they want to go and craft a Aurora CL because they want to go and handle cargo because the only ship they've got is a Gladius or an arrow. They're now going to craft this Aurora CL which isn't going to take them potentially days or weeks to build. They might go oh that person much better. So I'll just drop 40 quid on the pledge store and go buy the mark to think the market is 40 quid. But it's the same price as the mark one. Like financially it makes zero sense. You might as well have both because someone might go. I don't like the look of the mark two, but I do like the look of the mark. I don't know why you would, but there may very well be someone that does that. So in my head, financially, it actually makes less sense taking it off the store. Yeah, no, get it. And taking out people's buybacks is really, really stupid as well, because especially the Aurora man, Aurora was like Day one, pledging during Kickstarter to the really old school fans and people that back this game back in 2012, 13, 14, 15. That's the Aurora era. So you're literally saying all those people that have those ships that might not keep them because they've used that CCU to upgrade the ship, but they might want to go back for nostalgia reasons and pick up something they bought 10, 15 years ago. I have got an Aurora. I don't have it in my hangar. I've got it in my buybacks. I don't want to spend 40 quid on my buybacks right now. But before 1.0, I might go nostalgia. I want it back. It's really, I find it super disrespectful to take it out of buybacks. It just makes no sense. So I don't know. I really need someone at CIG that's making this decision to sit down and say, this is why. Because financially it makes no sense. Gameplay makes no sense. But nothing makes sense of it unless what Gridimus said in chat makes potential sense is it's too difficult to gold standard it. It's going to take more time to make it gold standard than it is to. ⁓ Well, then it would be for XYZ. You know, it's such an old architecture and frame and model that gold standard would need a whole rebuild that they're just thinking get rid of it entirely. But then. But they need to, they still need to gold standard it. Yeah, because people own it. People own it. They can't go, oh yeah, this is a Kickstarter backed pledge. Yeah, but fuck it. We don't need to finish it. We've released a mark two that you could buy instead. I've got a Aurora. I don't know what one it is, but it's practically bound to my account because it's my Squadron 42 pledge. So I can't get rid of it because I lose access to Squadron at that point. So I have an Aurora. my account. could CC you it. I could CC you it but I'm not gonna because it's only got like three months insurance or something and even though insurance is also irrelevant I don't really know what I would upgrade it to. I'd rather now keep it as an Aurora because of nostalgia but they still need to work on it they can't just go ⁓ yeah it's vaulted now we don't need to worry about it because now everyone that backed day one we Day one, week one pledge for an Aurora and got all the pledge skins and all that sort of stuff for it from back in back in that day. And now they're just going to be going in a janky ship and it's going to be forgotten about. reckon they're taking it out of buybacks because they know scalpers will be able to sell an Aurora on the gray market for like two grand. If they make it so you cannot get it anymore in a year's time, the Aurora, any older Aurora becomes. the Sabre Raven where it's so rare because you cannot physically get it that anyone that owns one can just scalp it and sell it on the on the great market. Hornets. Say again? Mark 1 Hornets. They're still in buybacks. I've got probably about 30 CCUs to like Mark 1 Ghosts, Mark 1 Base Hornets and stuff like that in buybacks. I reckon they'll do it with the Mark 1 Hornets as well. But they haven't said anything yet. No, but I think... poor communication. Maybe not at the same time. But I reckon at some point they probably will do it as well. Maybe when I still think the Hornets need their gold standard because I don't think they even have external components on them, right? No, they're another ship that they just vaulted and then gone. ⁓ we don't need to worry about that. Yeah. So I think they're going to they need to give the Hornets an overhaul with all their component slots and they're refueling little things because as we'll get onto a bit later in 4.8, the whole refueling stuff and hangar services is coming in. So on its way. So I do think that when they do the gold pass of the Hornets, they may very well just get rid of Mark Wands as well. But again, they still need to finish it. It makes no sense. They need to say something about it. They need to say a period in chat. They need to finish the Orion. Hold it for conversation. Declan only joins chat to say hurry up with the Orion. What I genuinely feel like we need a liaison in CIG that speaks to us before they announce and do things. Like we need Jared to go, all right, this is what we're gonna do. We're gonna remove the mark on auroras and we're gonna do this. And this is the reason why. And even if they turn around and go, I can't tell you the reason why, wink, wink. We know there's a legitimate reason, potentially legitimate reason coming up, rather than pull it, don't speak to anyone. Because now everyone's going to be like, why? I've never, I've never understood any form of secrecy around anything. Like even like the NDA stuff, like it's a video game. They will NDA, let's say they were building a brand new ship. And they were and then someone caught a glimpse of it on a computer screen and leaked it right. And that person that person is a sign in NDA. Why does it matter? Like genuinely like I get the art thing. I hate leaks. I hate leaks. And I really think that obviously NDAs are to try and stop leaks from happening. But I only hate them because it kind of ruins the surprise for me. But What does it actually do? The answer is nothing, by the way. Like, it's so stupid. It's a video game. It's not that deep, bro. Like, so I don't get the secrecy around this. Like, someone should just sit down and go, hey, we're taking out a buyback. Even if it was, even if they were as honest as this, we're taking out of your buybacks for financial reasons. We don't want people to scalp it. That's why we're doing it. Bosh. Done. Statement for, even if that might not be the reason, but if it was, just say it. Like, we're all adults. We'll understand if it's a financial cause, that's fine. What I hate is all the secrecy around a video game. Like it ain't that deep. It's not that serious. It's a game. Just be open about it. But anyway, that's how I feel about all the secrecy around stuff like this. makes zero sense. But yeah, I hope we get a statement of some kind of feeling because it is quite frustrating. Yeah, I get it. ⁓ So there was so someone showed me something before. ⁓ which I think is awesome. And I've never seen any other game do this so plainly. And I'm gonna try and share my screen here, just so you can also get a good view on what I'm having to look at. I share it to everyone as well. this is, so Rust. So this is FacePunch, who are the developers of Rust. They... ⁓ all their commits online. So when someone does something, they commit it. You can't see these because I believe because these are secret ones, they don't want people to see. And rightly so you don't want people to see all of your content that you're pushing out. So someone they want to try and sneak in a bit of development on something then then cool. But like here, obviously, I assume this is a dev ⁓ has pushed this commit. And now it says and they put a description of what the commits for. Attachment charms and they don't really get a lot of details and I think you can click on them. Oh, you can narrow it down. What's happened over time with this? But you can you can go all the way back and let 141,000 commits over. Someone do the maths, but what's that like 12 years? And you can go back like five days or three days ago. And they literally said. literally said it's a hacky fix, but they've bodged it and they've said in the code that they've bodged it. But this shows you what it's for. It's for Easter skin by the looks of it. And I would love for CIG to come out with, I know they're not going to because they don't want to tell people what's happening because it gives people false timelines. But the transparency of that development company in comparison to obviously CIG is completely opposite side to the scale. And I would love to see that. I don't know if you've ever seen that feature before. ⁓ But thank you for the person that did show it to me. It's really interesting. But for people on Spotify, it's literally like the commit list on like a GitHub repo, pretty much. And it told you what people committed where for what reason. So the whole game is completely transparent. Yeah, I get it. I get why some things maybe don't get mentioned with with parts of development, right? Because you say false timelines, you're gonna get false hope. You don't know if it's gonna be completed. So it's just best to say nothing rather than your investors hear about disappointing your fans because you haven't been able to achieve something you said you were gonna do. So I get around those kind of things not wanting to leak it right in case there is a reason it doesn't come out. But yeah, I just don't get the secrecy like you're not NASA. You're not the government. You're making a video game chill out. Just if you're going to have open development have open development. So yeah, when there's decisions like this I just feel like someone needs to sit up even if Jared was sitting. I mean obviously look He's a human being. I'm not saying he should be filming in his living room This is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but even if Jared was sitting in his living room of cup of tea He went hey guys listen, is why this decision was made. I think everyone would be fine with that There's no there's no need to go and sit in a studio and do it like it is Yeah, it's not that deep anyway, but yeah, so The Auroras are being taken out of buybacks. Very, very weird decision. I'm sure at some point someone will say something about why, and it will make sense. But as of right now, I can't make head or tail of it, and I'm assuming the Mark 1 Hornets will follow suit. That's the annoyance, because it just looks like a money grab. And it's probably not. There is a reason. It doesn't make sense. it was a money grab, they would leave them on, because then you can buy both. And there would be people that would buy both. FOMO though. People are now going to go and buy Mark 1s of all variants because they want them. Maybe. Yeah, I don't know. But anyway, so Mark 1, current Mark 1 owners will be given a disco paint for the Mark 1 Aurora that should be given to your account. It's not tied into the pledge. So you can just go and buy a Mark 1 right now, have it in your hanger, and then get given the paint and then melt. mark one and you've got that paint there for all eternity until they decide to vote it for whatever reason. ⁓ They've got that. Yep. So 30th of September is when they're going to be voting the auroras inclusive of buybacks and CCUs in buybacks. They move from in-game shops, ⁓ which is similar to the Hornet Mark 1, but the Hornet Mark 1 is still in buybacks, I believe. ⁓ But we continue anyway. So they released the SE, which is a special edition for the Mark 1. So you can pick that up. That will be vaulted as well. So you have to buy that within this period now, otherwise you will not get it. ⁓ Which if you're to buy any Aurora, you should probably buy that one because it's best in every aspect. And then scrolling down through the millions of the millions of Galactopedia updates again. They then pushed the update to the roadmap roundup. And I'm going to go through this pretty quickly because we've got everything for 4.7, but this now moves on to 4.8, which I wasn't even considering at this moment in time. I'm still looking forward to 4.7. we've got in 4.7 a new light combat armor, new heavy combat armor. Crew salamander faction outfits, craft in TZero, inventory rework, people service stations, which I believe is a NYX, QV breaker stations, new wickalow ship offerings. Different FPS weapons are so they've tweaked some of the art. They added the one of the nutrient cannons got a size three. They look quite nice. They're in the shops you can buy. I'll see you more remark to and then the I've not mentioned anybody mentioned this by the way, not a single person has I've seen content on the new Valakas. There's an ice adult Valakar and an ice juvenile Valakar. Oh yeah. Round up. I'm sure there must be clips of it somewhere. Someone must have found it. Yeah. I would have thought I would have seen it all over like Reddit and YouTube. I've not seen anything. So it may be in, may not be in. don't know. This is the downside of drip feeding new content to your audience where things like the Valakaz, when they first came out, like it was everywhere. I've barely seen that. I think it was the Umandai. Is that how you say it? Umandi? That liquid like... that spits that acid and like whatever lasers or whatever it was. Yeah, that Valor car. I think I saw like two videos where that was in it and then it just no one else has. I've never seen anything more on it. Yeah. And the same with this one. I think I think most people are still waiting for the roaming Valor car on like Daymar, like where you can physically just be driving around the desert or flying across it. And then suddenly the worm comes up very like like June. I was hoping we would kind of get it with these new Aurora Mark IIs. It'd be perfect if you were flying across Daymar and the worm was like... There's obviously that they're still working on that, right? Some more work needs to go into it. So it's just completely understandable. We don't have that, but... Yeah. I'm excited to see... I'm kind of glad I haven't seen the Ice one because I want to go and experience it myself. And with Dreamhack, I didn't get a chance to do that this weekend. So this week is the week. So I'm scrolling through the patch notes for 4.7. And it's not on it, but it's on the robot roundup to say that it's been released. Okay. So, yeah, I don't know. Chat your job for the next week. Go five minutes. I want it's eye. And then, yeah, so that's, that's, that's 4.7. So moving on to 4.8 now, which is juicy stuff. And obviously we've got to go through the 4.7.1.2.3.4 and all of that sort of stuff. Yeah. But 4.8, which we're within the year, realistically, because they're going to try and trump what they did last year and they did like 12 patches. So, yeah. ⁓ yeah. So just that confirmation. The ice Valakars are in the rock cracker stations. Interesting. Yeah. So we'll have to get on and have a go and have a look. And be a 4.8 refueling missions. This is something I'm looking forward to, not for refueling, because I can take a refueling mission now off a player, hopefully, and they're going to be stranded in the middle of space with no fuel. I can just go and take all the loot and then fly off. not obviously the intended gameplay. And I assume this is going to be an AI specific machine for a while. And that comes with refueling improvements as well, because refueling at the minute is quite hard when you're your Starfarer or Starfarer Gemini. Like it's the docking point, lining up thing. It's a bit of a pain. It can be done. It is relatively easy, but it is time consuming. Bit of a pain. interesting if we can take fuel out of other ships like Zranky just said in in twitch chat over there. You can kill some people, steal their fuel and then fly off. Or disable them using distortions and then just take all their guess. kind of hope there will be some kind of like review system that says like you will only get like an uber rating system and you only get shown the missions if you're a certain rating or Or even if it was like you had you sent out a refueling beacon said I need refueling and then whoever accepted it or like was pending to accept it, it'd pop up and say, you know, Swanky Fisherman has accepted your refueling thing. Do you accept their service to come and get you? They will charge you this amount of money. Like maybe there's a fee that you can put on sale. I'm going to charge you 20k just to come there like a call out charge right? So you can make that competitive. But also their rating is so many stars. Rating systems are difficult because how do you stop players trolling other players and saying, yeah, one star, even if they did nothing wrong. And there's a level of competence that has to go into that process. But that would be the ultimate way that I'd love to see that system work so that people can have reviews like Uber and you can say, I only want this person to come refuel me because this person has one star because He's obviously a pirate. So I kind of hope that that happens because you're right. What's stopping people just turning up and blowing you up for fun? Because there will be trolls as we call them on the game. Not even PvP is like actual trolls that will rock up just to kill you for no reason when you put out a refueling beacon. Yeah. So. Yeah. So there has to be something in place to stop that. Yeah, course. Unless you can call in Unless there's a backup beacon. Hey, I'm under attack. I need help. And if you die, then the people that accept that beacon lose rep or whatever. So, ⁓ you know, you can call him back up first and then we fill in. don't know. Yeah. But we'll see. Yep. ⁓ it's next on the list. Flight suits, G force resistance, which I found quite interesting because I'm hoping that they make flight suits. that have the GeForce resistance. obviously seeing the naming in over the last year, you've seen like spacesuits or undersuits and then flight suits, they're their own thing. They function like an undersuit at the moment, but I'm kind of hoping they ⁓ have the restrictions of not being able to carry medium or heavy armor, maybe even not even having light armor because then people in fighter ships will need to wear them to stop themself from... Redding out or blacking out through G force tolerances. Mm-hmm So means you won't be seeing solo people flying around in like an arrow killing people and then coming out in a full FPS kit exactly Or if they do they get out the ship. They then have to go to their storage locker. That's on the side Grab a weapon grab their armor and it may be even a light armor that they can just throw on over a flight suit because you're not gonna be like running around doing a flight suit at the guinea pigs just running around doing that. But yeah, so that sounds pretty cool. Do think got any points on that? Yeah, no, absolutely. I'm looking forward to that. I think they've actually I think they did a sneaky update that they haven't actually put anywhere that I'm not sure if anyone knows about. This might be a QD exclusive. But when we was at the event, what we found in Arena Commander, so I'm assuming it's in the P.U. When you get when your ship gets disabled now and you've been in a death roll, anyone that's thrown a Mustang or an or a... I thought the ship was a Sabre, I think. When you just have the fuselage left and both wings get blown off and you get into a death roll, you can now actually see your arms, your characters arms come off of the controls and they go around ragdoll inside the ship. So that's something I've never seen before is sort of ragdoll physics from the sea. not being able to control your ship. And it kind of makes sense. So I wonder if that is something that slipped in that maybe just is part of a different system of this flight, this new G tolerance system. So that it can be based on what you're wearing. I don't know. But then there was something else. There was a weird thing that happened where ⁓ someone blacked out. without really doing too much, just like accelerating or something. It was a really weird thing. And I was like, Oh, there must've been a bug. But now I think about it. Maybe it's like the early renditions of this new code of if you're not dressed appropriately, you can't handle the G-force. So yeah, I'm happens in the real world. Exactly. So yeah, you've got to wear compression suits and stuff to fly like fast jets. So makes sense. And next on the list, ship hangar service. Like you just said, being able to Restock your own vehicles without having and I assume we'll be losing the automatic version of this or It'll be like the cargo side of it where you pay to get your cargo done over duration of time But like the hangar service, obviously, I assume encompasses refueling of hydrogen and quantum fuel as well as repairing and restocking of munitions and missiles and and whatnot Pretty cool TZero as well, it's just going to be an early implementation of something, which would be quite cool. It'll probably be terrible to us, but CIG will work because that's what TZero has been on almost everything so far, apart from crafting, which has actually been quite pleasant. And in the very next one, which gets me quite excited, I don't know if you've got the list up and if you can see it. So you know what I'm going to say. Vehicle command modules. What vehicles have vehicle command modules? The Caterpillar. and ironclad. Yeah, So obviously, I expect that rendition to come in with the caterpillar first. Vulcan is probably still to be worked on. Vulcan, because that's really cool said Vulcan in chat. It's now got me Vulcan, but the ironclad is probably still going to be a year out next year thing, even though it's supposed to come out this year, because that's what they said. we'll see. But caterpillar. getting its command module, which would be really cool because loading the caterpillar would be nice. It's going to be simpler because you can just fly the command module around, pick up cargo off the floor using the tractor beam. Just like plunk it into on the beds from the side rather than having to do that terrible angle. ⁓ It's a great addition to the caterpillar. It's already a fantastic cargo ship, but this is going to make it even better. Agreed. 100%. And I love the idea of like leaving it in space and flying down. Yeah, what other vehicles function with a vehicle command module? And maybe I know like the Endeavour does because the Endeavour is supposed to like separate from the main body of the rest of it and fly off. But the Endeavour is long enough away that we don't have to worry about that. Do you know what you know what ship I wish did and they could have done it if they wanted to? The whole whole series, the whole C, whole D, where the bridge extends the tube when you're in extended up, when your prongs are extended. that front bit you could have just sealed that and had it go donk and just come away from the tunnel and then that little bit could have flown down and you could have left the big spirals you know all your spindles is the word I'm looking for and with your cargo somewhere secure while you fly down especially in the whole D and E series which are going to be too big to land with the spindles well the C is as well right but you can't even get into APMO with the bigger ones yeah it's going it would be really cool if you could just disconnect and fly down in something smaller to keep it useful. That'd be pretty cool. Yeah, I know. I could imagine that. The crucible, I don't know if it would benefit from vehicle command modules because the crucible, you're supposed to be able to drop off the vehicle repair module and have it like a little mobile garage, which I assume has something to do with linking parent and child assets together, which is I assume what the vehicle command module is practically about. So I think something like that would also benefit from it. And there's probably a ton of ships in the pipeline that they've not even worried about. ⁓ That probably do the similar thing where you can just detach and then come all the way down. And then next more Wickalow ship offerings, blah, blah. I've never seen Wickalow in the flesh. I'm not, there's nothing. I'm not interested about Wickalow. So do you have anything on that? I like The way that we could was put into the game, as they have said themselves, was rubbish, right? The way you turn in missions. It was so nonsensical. It didn't work half the time. It was really frustrating. And it almost made it not worth doing just purely because of the way it turned it in. We've having to put on the freight elevator and all that stuff is just just awful. Just so bad. ⁓ But the actual idea of Wickalow and the missions and getting the rewards and going to his like him having his own storefront where you had to then go and he was like, I want this and you had to go and do specific things that were kind of sandboxy. You don't didn't have to do Hathor. You could go to sandboxy missions and get the resources a different way your own way. However, you wanted to do it and bring it to him. I love that. I think it is a really good fun way to let players just figure things out themselves and come to the same conclusion from all different angles. by doing it in different ways to then earn rewards. So yeah, I think Wickalow will be really, really good. And I think he's the rewards are good fun and it adds something to do in the game. So I think it's good. But I think the execution on the turning in of the missions was so, so terrible that a lot of people have decided to completely like yourself, ignore it, shun it and be like, nah. So. I feel like stop adding stuff to Wicklow until you fix the turning stuff, because it's just so bad that it's almost like wasted development time for those people. Yeah. No, agreed. And maybe the way that they're going with crafting now, because you have to handle small like components and small like materials and they might work out a way to make it a lot more feasible or whether you can like bundle up. I know one of them is so stupid, like 70 % of something and you can bundle up into like one thing, make it easier to turn in or just do it digitally or something as long as it's in your location and you can just like have it do magic. I don't really know how it works. I've not been there. But yeah, mean, Wickalo is just going to be whatever they're offering at the time, whatever is new that they've just released is just going to end up in the Wickalo store. The UltiFlex crossbow. So FPS weapon. ⁓ I'll actually cover both of these crossbow and the plasma grenade. So there's going to be two weapons now that are going to be released and worked on, which is good because we've not seen anything crossbow related. Everything's either been energy or like, well, I know to be fair, crossbow is kinetic, like bullets. Whereas this is going to be crossbow. So I assume it's a lot slower moving. quieter as well. So stealth ways of conducting missions and taking people out. Pretty cool. And a plasma grenade. More grenades, more variation of grenades. It's to be awesome. But yeah, that'd be cool. Yeah. Anything on them? I'm just reading the description of the crossbow and it's saying it's a devastating shattering bolt. It has harsh projectile drop. So means you have to be up close, but it's near silent firing and deals basically a shed ton of damage. So up close, it's going to be better than like any shotgun. If you can hit your target, you're going to have people that will hide in contested zones. And I can, I can see the cogs worrying in your head already with essentially a gun that is completely silent and just take people out up close. And I think that is cool. think it's a cool weapon and I'm glad that we're getting new things in. Yeah. And then yeah, Grenoves has just been to chat as well. I don't know if you've seen the the lever action rifle that will be run into the game. No. And I don't know where where was it Grenoves? What was it posted on? I think it was like a random YouTube video. But it's cool because it's lever action. So one shot and then you have to rack it. It's kind of makes it. I can be Malcolm Reynolds. Yeah. Hell yeah. I was in the SCL. And it looks, I mean, it of looks like it's pointless, like lever action rifles are kind of pointless when you've got automatic semi-automatic sort of weapon systems. ⁓ But it's cool. You fire around and it's and go again. ⁓ The rule of call will succeed with that one. And then moving on to transport system, which have you got? description of what it means on the transport system, because I don't, I just got the name. Implementing the new transport system, a full rewrite of transit across the universe, supporting trams, trains and elevators with improved reliability and scalability for technologies like server meshing and instancing. And they did talk about this on a SCL maybe two, maybe a month ago. It was Jared and I can't remember who it was with, but yeah, they spoke about transit and the new transit system, but basically the trams and how now server meshings in and all the development that's come with the game. We're still using something from a very, very old bit of tech and it just needs scaling. And yeah, I'm very excited for that. I think we kind of got a tiny glimpse of it in the new Rock Cracker stuff where you have to take that little train and it kind of works like really, really well. ⁓ I would like to see that. Yeah, I want to see better transit. I think that is it's a very exciting thing, especially with the elevators. Although touchwood, I actually don't have that many problems with elevators. And I know that is crazy to say, because stars is known for elevator issues. But I feel like I've been the luckiest person on earth. And I think I've died to elevators a handful of times. And the rest of it have been pretty much OK for me. I've died to one elevator. more than a handful of times. And that's the reclaimers cargo elevator. Yeah. The bug, the bug, I believe the bug is back. I don't know if it's 4.7, but I was playing like 4.4 or whatever it was and it killed me again. ⁓ because it just randomly decides now is the time that you shall return to TSA spaceport. Yeah. so yeah. ⁓ transport system re rewrote, ⁓ it'd be awesome. ⁓ They said for a very long time, the people that wrote the code aren't at CRG anymore. It's a long-term thing. They can't just fix something that's broken. They need to do a rewrite, a whole rewrite on the whole thing. So that'd be really, really cool. They also did mention, I think in a SCL a while ago, that that would also include shuttles up to LEO stations, I believe. I have read it somewhere. I'm not making it Um, surely it's 4.0 you're playing now 4.8 and be released yet. It was 3.25. Um, but yeah, they, they did mention there's going to be like AI shuttles, I believe that are going to go from cities up to stations. Um, which we really cool. Yeah. Transport missions, man. We need them. Yep. I want the E1. I need my Genesis Starlight in the game. I have one pledged, I need my Genesis Starliner so I can go and put on my black taxi attire or like my London bus uniform and just pretend I'm a bus driver for the day and just transport people around from stations. That's the only role play I'll be interested in. And lastly on the 4.8 ⁓ was the Hammerhead gold standard, which I believe we expected in 4.7 and I think it slipped. ⁓ I don't know, don't know, I own hammer so it's not something I'm going to be taking use of so I've not been tracking that nose but it'd be really cool. ⁓ Yeah, think the reason it probably slipped is because they're building a new variant, which is well, this is just a guess, right? But they're building a new variant with lasers. So that they, I guess all the turrets would be lasers. This could be a bit crazy, like the idris laser, but a smaller scale. ⁓ And the reason I think that is quite obvious is just by Jared's joke about sharks with lasers on their heads. So it's like the whole like, Austin Powers like sharks with frickin lasers on their heads. Obviously, hammerhead shark, shark lasers. It makes sense, right? We're getting a gold standard, which means we'll be getting a Mark two or a new variant, because when they work on one ship, they think, hey, we're already doing this work. Let's also make a new version of it and we can then sell it and make more money, which is absolutely fine. Don't don't mind them doing that at all. Makes sense. Already working on it. Go ahead and make a bit of extra dough. So, yeah, it looks like we'll be getting a laser version of the the hammerhead and that will be super interesting because that means we're going to be getting smaller scaled weapons of what's currently on the Idris, which means we should also be getting a smaller version of the rail gun potentially to go on to ship soon, which would be really interesting if we could get like size four rail guns and size four lasers to go on turrets and stuff like that, which would be interesting. I I know they're going to do it at some point, but I would love to see vault ship weapons to start making appearance. Like Palpatine. Palpatine Hornets. Imagine a hammerhead coming on and it's just like lightning bolts everywhere. ⁓ But that'd be really cool because they've just done the ship weapons refact, well, the part of the armour where lasers don't do much. ⁓ They strip shields. So now you've got this anti fighter vessel floating around and half of its guns are now all focused to vault because we know vault is going to shred and it's going to shred shields rapid because of the way that vault weapons work. It's accumulated like power, isn't it? So the more sort of like time on shots on target, it will just start draining shield rapidly. which I then hope at that point you can swap to a second fire group which then has ballistics involved that then trip those shields apart. But I'd love to see that and maybe that could be what laser hammerhead ends up being. It's just vault weapons because there's a lot of lasers if that's the case. think so. We spoke out this last week to be fair. We said where did distortion weapons land now that lasers are the things that take down shields. Yeah. I just think distortions need to have an update where they can actually temporarily disable components through shields. Something like that would be cool. Like a percent chance. So if you had someone that was running all distortions, there's a chance that you could just knock out your shields for like entirely rather than just downing one can just turn off the shield generator for like 10 seconds or something. Yeah. That's what I think should happen. Even if it was five seconds, depending on the size and the crafting that you've done. You could level up your distortion weapon, say, disable an enemy for longer because they're more powerful. So someone with the base size for distortion and someone with a crafted size for distortion has been used. The best materials could be a three seconds difference or five seconds difference. So how long a shield gets knocked out for temporarily. Those kind of things coming to the game would make it a lot more beneficial. And people might actually go, I'm going to run distortion and ballistic rather than laser and ballistic because I want to knock the shields. I want to have a chance to just drop all the shields and then just pepper it with my ballistics and disable it. People that are really precise would probably go for that, whereas someone that is less precise is like, I'll take laser, I'll take the shield down entirely so it's down for longer and then I'll start pipping it with laser, with just ballistic. But I do, I am confused where they're saying lasers now don't kind of damage the hole. So where does that leave us with what they had with V1 of engineering, which was your ballistics would penetrate and disable components, your lasers would penetrate and disable components. However, the biggest difference between the two was that ballistics would actually cause damage to components quicker, but the lasers would have a higher chance of setting them on fire. Is that now no longer the case? Do lasers not set components on fire anymore? I think it's an armor related thing. Okay. So whilst the ship has armor, it doesn't pen. I think it's just purely damaging shields and then it damages armor like obviously laser in one particular point will build up plasma, which then causes heat, which causes damage. Okay. I'm kind of spitballing an idea. Yeah. But then I think once the damage has hit a threshold where the alpha damage of the lasers is now higher than the damage of the shield, it can probably now over pen. Okay. Potentially. That's how I can imagine it would work. I mean, don't think lasers should anyway. I think it should go back to the old way of ballistics penetrate through shields and take reduced damage, but don't damage shields at all. Whereas lasers have damage shields, but then do like opposite way around, limit damage against holes. This is like a long, long time ago when that combat mechanic was the thing. ⁓ But I think that's How do lasers no longer melt the armor? I don't know. My focus when playing Star Citizen was to not get bored. So I didn't leave my hangar. I'd stick craft. So I don't know. I'll test it out. ⁓ What about ballistics then? they not pen shields at all? Because there used to be a chance, right? ⁓ I assume they do. It's just mitigated damage. ⁓ Dan just joined a chat and said, I've missed the whole stream, haven't I? Cause we've gone an hour forward, so it should be 9 o'clock now. Oh, has it gone already? Yeah, it happened this morning. Oh no. No wonder why I did feel like I was very rested. Yeah, so. The lasers now, think they do damage armor. No, no ballistic. pen, do ballistics still pen shields? They've got to, because otherwise where does that leave the Ares ships? I mean, the Ares Ion and the Ares Inferno, there's like this dance of ice and fire of, that they always seem to need some form of balance and because they just don't fit in a specific category. ⁓ You know that they're meant to be capital ship killers, but they're not really powerful enough on their own They can't really turn with a fighter So they kind of don't have a place in the game because the damage output is not enough to kill something like a Polaris or a Perseus although it should be But they can't really turn with even something like a vanguard, which is sluggish So where do they kind of sit? I feel like they need to they need a bit of love the airy ships ⁓ But if ballistics don't pen shields then the inferno is literally pointless because you You can't do anything until the shields are down. you're relying on another person to do that. the, the, yes. So the Ares, ⁓ Inferno and Ion, they aren't ships you're going to be going out in as a solo or small groups. Yeah. You're going to be pulling those out in fleet compositions. Same as the Eclipse. Same as the Eclipse. Unless you're going to go and do a targeted stealth mission with the Eclipse, which can do, which you can. fly in, drop one top on a singular ship, not obviously one that has PDCs and disable it like easily. But it's now looking more like a fleet composition based game when it comes to capital ship based combat. You bring a Idris into the into an example. Ions will strip the shields of an Idris as well as everything else. You're going to want your fighter screen. take out all the other fighters, then you've got to want your anti-fighters, so your hammerheads to be in there. But then your ion is going to be doing the most damage against shields per ship. If you have like 10 hornets, 10 hornets is going to do more damage. But if you're bringing three ions, it's going to rip those shields apart. And where I think the Inferno is useful is not to damage the ship, but to disable opponents disable engines to pop turrets off because it's got a mega fire rate, it's got good range and good damage. So it can pop the Idris cannon off or Polaris engines. ⁓ And I think that's where it is the most useful. Because then you have your own Idris coming in and that's going to do your damage. That's your capital killer. Yeah, that's fair. I think that if they've they've become niched, it's become like really bespoke use cases. I a lot of things. Yeah. Yeah. The eclipse is the one that boggles my mind the most. I wish I hope when that ship gets its gold pass, it gets a bit of love as well, because I think it could do with just holding like an extra two torps or an upsize on the weapons just because it is so it is so ⁓ pigeonholed. It's unbelievable. There's really The two size twos are far too weak. They should be like maybe threes or fours really to give it a bit of fighting capability, maybe threes. ⁓ But the torps are so expensive, like three torps is eight hundred and ninety grand. So you're looking at basically nearly a million for three size nine torps. So that eclipse, you're almost never going to have a purpose to use it outside of a fleet battle. ⁓ So it's very niche-ified, right? Because the size two is a useless, you can't even rely on it in like a dogfight. And it's a shame because I love the Eclipse. I think it's such a cool ship, but I personally don't see a use for it. yeah. I see it's use in, not in the main combat. So not in your fighting line, but for you to be able to do a quick strike on its logistics chain. So you'll be stealth, you'll be able to go around the battlefield. You'll then be able to go and find your Vulcan or whatever that's doing repairs on fighters in battle. can just fly in, you can give it a one-torp dip out. No one knows you're there. They've just got a target warning for a missile now and that's it. I think that's where it really is. And yes, it costs, what was it like up to a mil for the, for, for torp replenishment, but If you use those three torps and you hit three targets and they're key assets, like they bring free Vulcans to repair on the battlefield, that entire org battle now has just lost its repair on site capability. So I think that's more than a million in worth, like depends on how you look at it. yeah, a lot of ships have been shoehorned into very specific use factors. Yeah. Which I'm kind of for. I don't think the eclipse should have an increase in gun size. Um, the first thing I do when I have my clips is take the guns off it because it reduces the signature. Um, that's what I They're so useless. You might as well not have guns. Yeah. And yeah, that is probably a better option. So yeah. Um, but yeah, anyway, I think, I think, well, we've exhausted the list of 4.7, 4.8. Yeah. The only thing I can throw up on chat now. ⁓ that I will quickly throw up while we do an outro. It's a sneak peek. ⁓ yes. So we got here the Grey Cat UTV question mark near the new one that Jared showed us on STL, I think that is it all in the Aurora 2 video. Yeah. Steve Mark 2. Yeah. They're going to be mentioned the basics based Steve now. But no. And what's also notable is obviously distribution centers. And then I was trying to zoom in on my screen here, but you've got manufacturer branded containers, which I think is the most important, the most important one, obviously the trach containers. I can't remember if it was in an ISC, an SCL or a video, but at some point it was mentioned about having like inter distribution center missions. So it would be like take a box from this part of the dish or center to that part, which is where this vehicle comes in, right? You can load a little WC, you create onto the back and just drive it from A to B, make some money and go back and do that again. love the idea of this because it kind of is like the first ⁓ iteration of delivery missions for the ground delivery missions. So when we do get roads that connect up the strings of locations, which I really hope we get one day. I know it's something they've spoken about, so it's on the plans. So when we get roads and we could have two distribution centers connected by like three kilometer of road, that or further would be really cool to go like, we've got to deliver it from X to Y, bosh, drive it across. then we want our space flatbeds and our space ⁓ Arctic lorries and stuff, which is again, the things I think we will see down the line is the design of these ground vehicles. ⁓ like really big articulated lorries or whatever it is, but you know, the really, but with the cabs on the back and stuff like, ⁓ man, it'd be really cool. I think it's something we'll see way down the line, but, ⁓ yeah, this is like tier zero of that in a way. Yes. I'd be excited to be able to play the game where I don't even need to leave the planet. Don't need to have a ship. I go from a city and then jump in a truck and then drive 10 K's out to the nearest distribution center. And then go do some missions there and then go to a different one or transport things from like a mine, like mining 141 on, on Daymar and then you have to take it to Brio's because, or pick some stuff up from Brio's and you just, and it's going to take ages, right? That's what this game is anyway. It's a bloody time sync. So why can't it just take ages? It would be amazing. I don't know if we'll ever see it. only because most of the cities in the game right now, you can't really access. Well, you can kind of access them on foot right now. New Babbage, you kind of can. You have to come out of the of the ground base, but you can kind of get into the city through that ground spawning ship thing. Kind of Lawville. Lawville. I haven't actually tried that. But yeah, where can you spawn ground vehicles on Lawville to drive them out? I don't know you can spawn ground vehicles there, but you can access it on foot because it's got the perimeter train line. And it takes you to the perimeter on the outside of the the the the sea, which I have flown to and done pickups from on in chips. So all it needs is literally a pad there and it's all good. Yeah. And then ArcCorp will never because it's just a big city. And I don't think we'll ever be able to drive through that city just because imagine trying to render that that the fidelity that Star Citizen likes to go for, which is fair enough. And then Orison, obviously, there's no flaw. It's a gas. So there's no, there's no ground. ⁓ so that's another one we won't see, but yeah, I think it would be, it would be cool if we started to get mini cities on the moons and stuff. ⁓ like on Ariel or wherever, wherever, right? Like you go down and there's small moons dotted around small cities, like even like villages. I know we kind of have these little mini shanty towns, that on a bigger scale. Yeah, like developed little towns kind of thing. Yeah, yeah, that would be nifty with like shops, like being able to drive in. And like you go into a town and there's NPCs are selling there's like a bar you can go to. And there's a bank or whatever. Like that kind of like gameplay would be really cool to see. ⁓ And I'm hoping with things like Genesis and StarCertect when that when that system starts to come online for us and we start to see the biomes. that kind of stuff gets fleshed out because the game needs to feel lived in and it needs to feel like there's other people other than the players doing stuff because. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Looks like a little crane in that picture. It does. That could be interesting. And I was just trying to see if there's anything different. The tires are different. ⁓ Quite good definition on like the suspension side of it. Maybe they're fixed suspension. ⁓ But yeah, the tires are different. ⁓ And yes, there is a cone. Hopefully we can move the cones because then we can like put like little tracks that you can drive around. Just block off someone's cargo grid. Yeah, exactly. But yeah. Wearable cones of Yeah, that's cool, man. think. It's with crafting is like the first step to the game becoming a game, in my opinion, like to get into all that one point. ⁓ it's this the first it's the first true update that gives you a reason to come back every day and play ⁓ because you have a you have a reason to go and do your mining and craft this and craft that. And it's really that step towards baseboarding as well as well. And. Just to touch on what Gudum has said with the trigger fish next week with April 1st and April 4th. Do you think we'll actually get the Raptor? I know they've said they're doing it like it's a real thing. They are making the misc wrap. Is it the misc Raptor with the street cleaning janitor ground vehicle? Do we think that will actually release? ⁓ I mean, they could release it on this trigger fish and I think it would be pretty funny if it was if it was like they did it again and everyone was like, This was last year and then. Then it was actually released would be quite a funny April Fools like a like a double bluff. It will fall in last year's April Fools would be great. It would be it would be pretty cool. And yeah, it's it's one of those where it adds no gameplay like doesn't even have to street sweep streets. They could just release it and. I would like it to though. I'd like there to be a janitor mission type in the game. Yeah, because then people can be like, you can really do zero to hero then if you can spawn in with zero UEC and you have to earn money before you can even leave the planet. No ship, no nothing in your hangar. ⁓ Which is I know this is a tangent, but just before we end, I do hope that they they sell Star Citizen as a package on its own without the need to buy a ship because I would I would quite like to see someone's account with no ships to start because it'd be really fun if you had to earn money at the station doing janitor stuff, putting stuff in bins and then you could finally rent a ship and you could go out and try and earn money whilst you rented that ship. That would be a really cool, fun way to try and play the game. Yeah, enough for sure. Yeah, yeah, that would be pretty sweet. Right. Yeah.
