Quantum Dispatch: Hello everyone and welcome back to the Quantum Dispatch with the very first episode going out on Spotify with a foursome. All four of us are here, the full team, the full crew are here this evening for the first time since we've been live on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, which is beautiful. Of course, my name GFA Plays and my fellow co-host, CJ Radley, Wanda Kandigba, Swanky Fisherman, we're all here tonight to bring the beautiful Star Citizen news and theory crafting to your ears. and we'll go around the group from my camera order. CJ, how are you, my friend? I am good. I am good, man. I did pick up on your introduction there. You said for the first episode going out on Spotify. How many times have we said first episode going out on Spotify now? It's got to be, I think it's the fourth. No, we've all of us. Yeah, I was going to say, but when you first said it, I was like, how many times have we had this guys? But no, I'm good. Managed to play a little bit. ⁓ for once I actually got in the bus. ⁓ and I've had quite a few play sessions actually since, since four point. Seven. Three point 24.4.7.1 whatever it is now. It's a radio station, isn't it? Yeah, exactly. Yeah. It's like an IP address. And yeah, so I've had a few play sessions. I'll be pretty exquisite. I'm a, I'm a misc sort of like anti-misc person. ⁓ convert to the whole B. So, yeah, I'm hoping they go back and tweak the A and maybe not the C because it needs to look like a penis, like your lights behind you, your hex lights. But maybe they tweak the hull A to give it that same sort of design language because it doesn't really follow. Good things for things like the Endeavour and the Odyssey. If they follow this design language, they might actually be really nice looking ships. But enough from me. Who's next on your camera order? It is one dark enigma. Now we can skip that one. All right. And Swanky. Hello, everyone. Yeah, it's been a good week. We may get some time back in the verse. I'm off for the next two weeks. I miss next weekend's podcast. But yeah, no, I've been back in the game, been playing, doing some mining, helping mothers get around and just getting back to the basics because everyone's like dusting off the knowledge and... How do I mine and what do I do? And yeah, it's been fun. We've actually pulled out the moles and taken them out into the verse. Yeah. Yeah. It's been, it's been, refreshing is probably the phrase there. ⁓ and that brings us beautifully onto swanky fisherman. Yeah. am the S fisherman. ⁓ yeah, it's been a good week, ⁓ ramping up towards, ⁓ baby arriving. So it has been the never ending list of jobs. and get in the house ready for when little one arrives. As you can see, the reason for the blur being so strong is because of all the stuff piled behind me that we're still trying to sort out. But now also being able get in the verse, had another foursome earlier in the week with the four of us taking out the Holby. CJ, don't look like that. You loved it. The Holby earlier in the week, which was, we had a lot of fun. It's a great ship. It's awesome looking ship. The design of the engines, I think is the way the cargo is laid out is, ⁓ My words, just fantastic. And yeah, similarly to One Dark and CJ, I've been getting a few more sessions in as well. It's been really nice to see everyone go, ⁓ my word, Crafting's here. Let's go right back to basics. How do you mine again? Like no one's needed to mine because everything has only been for AUEC for such a long time. All of a sudden it's like, I actually have to do things to make things that isn't just credits? Sick, I'm in. The amount of my friends I've seen coming back to the game has been awesome. So yeah, good one for me. How about you, GFA? How has your week been? Yeah, thank you very much for asking. It's been good. It's been good. As you said, we ventured out into the whole B with all four of us and it was a really fun time. There's a video out, a collab video out on both our channel and the QD and then there'll be a bespoke whole B breakdown coming out on the QD channel in the next few days. So definitely make sure you subscribe over there on YouTube and keep your eye out for that. And... ⁓ Yeah, I think that's going to be a really in-depth breakdown with stats and just going through everything that we like and dislike about the ship. There's not much we dislike and I like that. I said like and dislike a lot. I do hope that the D and the E have a bit of love showing with the response that the whole B has got with the A and the C being fairly similar in their style. I'm hoping that the D and the E get a bit of a an upgrade maybe visually so they don't just look like a whole sea stretched bigger that they actually look unique ⁓ because as something we can actually talk about good segue the whole E is no longer a limited hole. You can see see you up to the hull E right now so anyone can get that ship. Whereas before it was ⁓ it was limited right. So that's a big change and they didn't really say anything about that just kind of happened. It was just a bit of a bit of a silent silent killer. What how do you guys feel about that. about those limited holes no longer being limited. Who do you want to start with? Anyone. I have no passion. I am eternally great. I don't know. I kind of like it because I feel like the whole series, although the Holly is meant to be obviously big, big, big, you know what I mean? But still, it's just doesn't feel like to me a special enough ship to lock it behind a barrier. You know, like I wouldn't put say a hull E and think of it at the same level as an Idris or a Javelin or a Kraken or ⁓ even even a even I say a pioneer I'd probably say a pioneer should be behind that more than the Hull E is you know the pioneer for example because that's not CC you able from right thinking the pioneer isn't no it's not yeah yeah absolutely you know I don't see it being as the same level something like a pioneer or those ships so I don't know I'm all for it I'm going to go against you. Okay. And that was out of course. No, no, I like it. need we need advocates for the devil. Wait, but the yeah, yeah. The holly is the creme de la creme of cargo hauling. So if your top of that career loop is locked behind something. ⁓ So your address, for example, capital is fine. big, it's massive. The same as the Battlecruiser and the Javelin, they're all going to be limited and they should be limited because of it's not even the end game. It's like past the end game of what we're looking at in the grand scheme of it. And I feel like the Hully is end game for cargo hauling. Like it's the top of the top. Like you shouldn't see them everywhere. And what I fear now going later on into the verse and it's absolutely fine. Like people can do this, but I feel like we're going to see a lot of hullies that aren't heavily laden. We're going to see amounts of cargo that could quite easily fit on like a hull C and that's all they're going to be traveling around with them when they shouldn't. They should be using a hull C instead, like a tool fit for the job. But now people are going to go, oh, I've got a hull C, but if I get a hull E, I can do everything a hull C can and more. So they will upgrade now from their hull C, which if you look at the chains for it, the CCU chain, you can do with $200, you can do that jump from 550 up to, ⁓ well, it's 500 actually for the C, isn't it? So 250 ⁓ up to 750. And you might as well lock that price in now because it will be going up. ⁓ yeah. Do reckon it'll be like Polaris price point? It'll come in just under that thousand to stop it being, to mean it's still giftable. Or do you think it'll go over? I think it should be, I think it should go over. ⁓ because you've got 500 for the C bearing in mind the amount of cargo it takes. And then you multiply that by a factor of three, I think it is to the whole D. I don't know what the nerf, the nerf SU cargo amounts were, but they did bring it down quite considerably. But the whole D should sort of fall into the region of 750. And then the Hull E should then probably get 200 maybe more increase on top of that, because again, it's by a factor of a multiplicative factor of whatever. I don't know the stats on the top of my head, it there should be a massive price difference, because otherwise everyone's going to go and grab a Hull E. And then they pull their 128 SCUs with a cargo mission around on this huge behemoth of a ship when they should be using a hull B or a hull C instead. They've got one Atlas, a personal crate, and they're going to do bunker missions with a hull E. Just like, yeah, I put it on the spindle and then I... Also, the size of those things, like how big that thing's going to be. I mean, I guess maybe the front of the back don't need to be too different, but for the amount of... cargo, it's going have to be something pretty chunky. Well, it doesn't have to land because I've stated now, obviously the whole B is the largest ship that can land with cargo. So the whole C can't, the whole D can't and the whole E can't. And in space, you don't need to worry about, you need to worry about your initial acceleration because obviously you need the momentum to move cargo. And I know we're going like full sim here, which is not what Star Citizen is, it's an arcade game. And all you need to do is be able to move that cargo. You could use the exact same amount of thrusters that's on the whole C. Yeah, you would accelerate to that speed slower and you decelerate slower. But once you've got it moving, an object in motion stays in motion ⁓ if it doesn't have forces acting against it. So it doesn't need to be any different to a whole C. It should. Hmm. Anyway, I've already used my word limit for the day. No, I feel you though. I do get what you're saying. if there's the way they can get around it with some of the combat ships is like you kind of have to upgrade the ships before they become as good as they can be. So like the Hornet F7A Mark II, for example, one of the best fighters in the game right now and probably will be even upon release with 1.0. But the base model that we purchase with our real money is kind of going to be worthless. Like it's going to be good, but it's not going to be anywhere near as good as it could be if you craft all of your own shield component, shield generator power plants for the pips and your own weapons. so put an effort into upgrading that will make it 10 times better. As we've seen with Kratom with weapons, craft a gun is exponentially better than the base version of the gun. Ships will be the same. And that's kind of the upgrade gameplay that everyone will be grinding out for and mining and stuff. that works with combat. But when you come to something like a whole series ship, The spindles are the spindles. The cargo capacity is the cargo capacity. Yes, you could upgrade the engines and the power plant and stuff to make it a bit more responsive in flight. outside of that, it will do what it can do from the base model. So I do actually kind of agree with you. The hull E I don't think should ever have been sold. And it kind of makes me want them to make a whole F, which is silly, but something that's bigger that you can't buy would be nice to see. Because as you say, what's the point of especially with cargo ships? What's the point of letting people buy it? Because then if you give people the option for such a small increase in financial investment, people will do it. People will melt ships like I have. I have a CCU to a hull E just because I had a hull D and it wasn't that big of a jump. So I know it's like we shoot ourselves in the foot, but you're right. I don't want to see loads of hull E's flying around. The flip side is it's going to be harder and expensive to run them. Yeah. The running costs will be high on a hulley. does, does make me wonder as well with something like, unless you're a really committed cargo hauler, how many people, cause I'd say for like the average player who wants just a, ⁓ a Jack of all trades fleet, kind of a bit like how I am, do you really want to have committed so much of your resources to something that big? Like I think it's only going to be a ship for those who are really wanting it and maybe that's the reason why they've done it because not enough people are buying it. And that actually if they make the CCUs available for it, more people will end up having it. Whereas at the moment people are going, well, I like cargo, but let's face it, I'm not going to be shipping that much. So I'll go for a hull B or I'll go for a something smaller or go for a railing because I don't need several thousand or I'll go for an ironclad, which can fit one and a half thousand SCUs of cargo in it. CJ with his Chad face. True, but think about all the things you can put on the hullies spindles. You could land so many ships on there. If you can land ships on there. whole day on a hullie. yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude, if you can have it as a mobile launch platform, then fine, yeah, I'll get a hullie. We should be able to because they already did leak, well, I know this was a time ago, but one of the OG concepts for the hull series was it could fit ships on it. And there's a scene where there's an arrow physically bound to the grid. So mobile carrier. Yeah. Pocket carrier. I think I know Hyperion's in chat and he loves the term pocket. It's a big pocket. What do think about that, Pete? I think we personally, I personally think we will see ships attached to cargo grids. And if that happens, you could transport a whole bunch of ships on a hulley. It could be interesting for sure. It could be like a used ship salesman. He just attached all these ships to it. going across. Shoot a girl across. Yeah. And we're going down scooters. I don't disagree with anything what you were saying really, but I do want to take it back to one of the first points, was CJ saying our whole EE is going to be super expensive. But are we still remembering that the whole D and E both are receiving huge nerfs to the CCU, ⁓ SCU capacity of those ships? I don't feel like we're going to see a single digit difference. No, but the Polaris didn't get a nerf or a buff and it still went up by 200 odd dollars. So concept ships are concept ships. They're still going to get the same price inflation. And where whole C's are now at $500, they have to go up. They have to move. There is no choice. The D will be 700 and the E will go 900, I think. Yeah, I think like Polaris price point. That's what I think. They won't go over the thousand pounds because anything over a thousand is un-giftable, isn't it? Yes. Yeah. That's not their priority. I know it's not their priority, but I feel like they'd off too many people if they went over the thousand dollar price point. So they'd just stick it in that 900 range like they've done with a couple of other things. I don't think gifting is going to be a concept when the D and E are released. No, this is also a very good point. Yeah, that's also another interesting thing to discuss at some point is what do you think is going to happen with chips and CCUs and things like that when 1.0 rolls around? Well, I want to stay on the whole series real quick. Let's not do that. Yes, that's right. Just before we go because... put the spicy away. bad. I said about we... I said we're going to do a little bit of theory crafting today and I've got an idea for the whole D and the hull-y, maybe more so the hull-y that... I would love to get across to a developer or one of the other, the concept team that are planning it. ⁓ Give us the ability to not fully extend the D and the E. So like you can do like a stage one extension, which opens up the first spindle, which gives you like a thousand SU. And then a second stage and a third stage. You can go through the stages. You've got a semi and then you've got the full shaft extension. The full shaft extension, but it'd be good to, to maybe not like. And again, I'm caveat at my own point. said, I don't want to see whole E's flying around aren't fully laden, but if it's now available for everyone, kind of factor in for the fact it's not going to be full cargo. it's going to be what I think the E was like 12, 12 K SCU. Like, something like that. used to be the hull E used to be like 96, I think. Yeah. Yeah. It used to be 90, 90 K something. And I think it got nerfed all the way down to like 12 K or I think it's six now, isn't it? No, it's more than that. 12k, 16k or something. I think the D went down to the D went down from like 20k to six. I'd love to be able to like maybe not do stage one, stage two, stage three, open a spindle at a time. Imagine on the hull, for example, air quotes 12k, if you can reduce it down to only are open half the storage and you can kind of do it freely and open the other half as and when you need it kind of thing. It doesn't make sense from like a. Hey, I know there's no there's no wind in space, but from like a like an aerodynamic standpoint, you're not going to have all this extra stuff expanded when it's not fully laden yet. It makes sense to be able to do it in part stages. Yeah, I think that would be really cool, actually. If you could do it one spend a little time, I would actually quite like that. Yeah. I think it'd be good if the center is part of the ship. So hold the chassis and then it kind of either can expand from the back to show spindles at the back or expand from the front or something like that. But then the center is still part of the ship. So get an engineering crew in there. I know I was doing a lot of like that. So just make sure both of these sides, or even if you could have it the way that it expands out, could they have it the part of the mid animation? means that their spindles are like the whole B and that they sit at that angle. But if you wanted the extra extension and more, they could then flip out from that to give you the extra space and the classic cross pose that they've got at the moment. Oh, there we go. We've got the cargo amounts for ships from a first time chatter as well. Jumped in first time chatter. Yeah. for that. Yeah. So 12 K for the Hulley, 12,300. And then 6,900 for the D. It's an expensive D. It is an expensive D. I mean, it's still more. Realistic. I was talking to my buddy about this the other day. Realistically, the only use case of the hull E for the majority is going to be for orgs that building space stations and stuff because you can't land 12 K S. You is nuts. ⁓ But I just think. I don't know if anyone's flown a fully loaded whole D, a whole C, sorry. Yes. It is so sluggish and slow, like you accelerate and it takes about three business days before you're going one meter per second. And then slowing down is treacherous behavior because you've fully loaded. You've got all this expensive cargo. You're about three kilometers away from the space station and you come off the accelerator with, in in coupled mode. You've got the thrusters pushing back. You do the old Alabama spin or whatever it's called. You turn around the older Was it crazy Ivan from Firefly? You turn and give the booster back towards the station and you look at your watch and it takes 10 minutes to stop. So you're like, Christ, if that's the whole C fully loaded, what's the whole E gonna fly like fully loaded? So there is a part of me that thinks I think they need to maybe make the whole C a little bit less sluggish when it's fully loaded because I don't I don't see how the hull is going to operate. It's so much bigger. I know the engines are bigger, but Christ. would love to be able to like theory craft how much cargo you're going to need in like a space station. How much are you going to need for the daily running or the monthly running to require 12,000 SCU of cargo? I wish we should definitely acknowledge what's going on in chat now. Here comes. he is. Yeah. Hello. Hello, John. Thank you coming in for the five gifted subs. Appreciate you, dude. GFA. ⁓ Jadar just turned up, dropped two messages and then now he's got sub. Perfect timing for the arrival. my friend. Thank you, Hyperion. I got a sub as well, So did I. I thought I was already subbed to the channel, but... Take money out of your pocket and put it back into your pocket. Yeah, I'm claiming it's an expense. I'll get it back. But yeah, no, thanks in chat. We also have another sub from Tidal Lord. We did. Thank you Tidal Lord for subscribing with Prime and Hyperion with 5 tier 1 gifts sub to CJ. Thank you everyone. Thanks for the support everyone on Twitch. Thank you. GFB please, Jajda Noor. I'm going to interject before he carries on. I'll turn the spicy off. Just imagine 12 KSU. What are you building? I know we're going to be building Bengals in our space stations. Well, I'm not. My son probably will be. But what do you need 12 KSU for? That's a lot of stuff. Yeah. It's to be crazy. You're going to want to carry the bulk of everything across systems. as a one, you're going to want like the suite with you. You're going to want your defense. Yeah. You're going to want all of that with you as you travel. Imagine losing that in the jump gate though. Yeah. A bug. Yeah. Just to pirating. Or pirating. Well, the pirating is fine by me, which is what, you know, that is that it should be a risk. You've got unprotected cargo. You need a combat ship to escort you around. But yeah, it's, ⁓ man, 12,000 SCU. How much? Yeah, I just I just don't even know how much of an investment that would be. Is there going to be missions that support that? Are they going to be Hulley specific missions? I guess I guess they wouldn't be. specific if you had a- don't know. feel like maybe there has to be. Like for there to be, yeah, like you can't, well, they were saying, weren't they, that they would never release a ship without it having like, I say that, there are obviously ships out there that still don't have their gameplay loops, but without it having something to do with the ship. So surely, but even then, who has 12, like what station or what place has 12,000 SEU of something just sitting there ready to go? Like it's got to be something huge, you know? I hope it's medical supplies. There needs to be a proper player economy. Or food, for example, for like a planet or some... Yeah. the player economy needs to be like, if there's loads of people that using medical facilities at Lorville, Lorville will put out messages saying we need stims, we need med stuff. And then it's just players will pick up those contracts and deliver to Lorville because they need them. That player driven economy needs to be there for something like that. 12,000 SU, yeah, would probably supply a lot of medical pins, but you think the amount of thousands of players playing the game, it wouldn't last that long. and cruise, cruise boats, man. That's, that's, that's where the real money is going to be made. think Total Giza said it in chat. There's going to be 12,000 SU of cruise boats delivered every hour to stations. think, ⁓ some guys there just, think people that are going to be utilizing the whole series, the whole D and the Holly aren't necessarily going to be within the org. So like the org leader isn't going to go, right, we need to move all this stuff. I think it's going to be a case of player to player trading. So big orgs aren't going to want to waste their time hauling big lumps of cargo around. And personally, I would much rather have it outsourced to a transportation org. and have them move the cargo to my location. But I can't remember what it was. So I filled up a whole C and it cost me millions to fill up a whole C and I filled out with waste. The cheapest SCU item in the game and I filled out with waste and it still cost millions. So I mean the whole what the whole E if you're taking out number of, and as Screamer said, it's not going to be a singular commodity. It's not going to be like 12k worth of gold. It'd be like a k worth of gold, two k worth of whatever, all the different things and what you need to craft, whatever it's going to be. So you can probably look into the billions, I think, for the cost to transport these big lumps of cargo around the verse. I don't think it should be a mission. 10 Polaris rocket torps. don't think it should be a mission. think it should all be player to player trading. think that's what they hopefully want it to be eventually. mean, Screamer just said big mining orgs will hire big hauling orgs, which, I expanded saying if you've got a, like, you know, the pioneers going to be able to land on a planet and then mine a resource below the surface. If you've got a big mining base going on, they're going to need people to transfer those resources. If you don't want to do it, if you're there looking after the base, maybe you don't have enough people, you're going to want to hire someone. And if you have a major mining operation, you're going to need something big to shift that and maybe it's either a percentage or just a flat fee. You know, hopefully that's what it is. Yeah, there will be missions, but there are missions now that are kind of whole sea specific, but you can do them in other ships like the whole sea. There's missions where you have to transport a couple of thousand SCU from one space station to another. And some of them are intergalactic or whatever they are. You have to go through the wormhole and whatnot. ⁓ You know, there are some forms of whole sea specific missions, but you could do them in a whole bay. Just you have to do multiple trips. I think it would kind of be that like it would be a mission that maybe is 7,000 or 8,000 SCU that you have to deliver. You can do it in one run with a hull E, which is 67 % loaded, or you could do it in two runs with the whole D or three runs with the whole C. I kind of think that's how it will be done or multiple ships when you can share those missions out. ⁓ But yeah, I think ultimately it's going to be orgs space stations because you can't land with the cargo anyway. I'm assuming the hull E can land just not of the spindles. Obviously. Yes. So it would just be You can't do cargo running with it in space, but there's nothing stopping you stop it. Even if you don't have a space station, there's nothing stopping you parking out of that mode with the Hull that you've transferred all that stuff and then taking smaller ships from your base up and down shuttling. ⁓ And you can you kind of use the Hull is a mobile base station in itself. I just I do hope that some form of space station is accessible to smaller orgs. I'm hoping that a group of, let's say, 10 of us. could build a space station eventually, even if it was a tiny scale compared to other ones. I hope there's different sizes of space station, not just one base size and you have to have like realistically 50 people minimum to get it built. I hope there's like levels to it because it'd be a shame if that game play was locked off to people that weren't in orgs because there's loads of people that just play in a small group of like five or six of their friends or two or three of their friends. And they they but they still want to have that gameplay, right? to an extent. Yeah. I think when you're thinking about like that 12k SCU, you need a large org because to mine that amount of resources, you're going to need an entire mining org to fill a request to fill 12k worth of SCU. So I don't think orgs of a medium size, it's obviously like we're in Afrodani with Hyperion that's chilling in chat. ⁓ we won't be able to fill Holly. If we dedicate everyone in the org to do mining, we still wouldn't be able to fill it. So then that leads me on to the other point. Who's now going to transport that all that that cargo, because you don't just have one person on the ship. You need that ship fully crewed. You now need a complete convoy to follow that ship around to ensure you don't get pirated. And then who's going to be taking this, this cargo? So in a space station. and Augustine require it. So there's if you think about the grand scheme of it, only the hugest of orgs are going to be able to run a Hulley and a full mining operation and a full crafting operation and benefit from it. So it's all got to be player to player trading. I know the orgs like there's like Bob orgs like ADI and test, they're going to be able to do it all because they've got of tons of people because they just randomly send invites to everyone. So they've got plenty of people to be able to do all this stuff. But your normal orgs with normal people aren't going to be able to make use of the entire career loop. So we'll start seeing more specialization, that though. It's like Foxhole and that's one of the best things about Foxhole. You kind of have players that do like to specialize in something. Especially if they're running logic, like they'll be like, I like doing this part of the logistics chain, whether it's the new plane gameplay or it's on the ship or it's the running the jeeps or the trucks. Then you've got the people that are actually doing the mining and there's people that would be mining the really basic material. And then there's people that will go and mine the more lucrative stuff that's harder to find, but can craft better stuff for your army. And I kind of like that there's going to be specialist roles because I always wanted to have a shop that sells the best of something. Right. That's kind of what I wanted to get from crafting. I want to have a farm or a base that I build somewhere that people go. GFA makes really good pistols. I want if I if you want a good pistol with all the attachments and it's the best best crafted components and it's you you go to GFA and that's kind of what I would like to get out of the craft inside of things. to have to really specialize in one niche. And I think this is the same thing. I think what you're saying is right. I think it will come down to a player to player trading and people in running hullies will be specialist teams. And that's that's the only thing making me think do I even bother applying my CCU to it because am I ever going to use a hulley? Build on what you you've posed there. So like player to player trading. Oh, do you reckon we're going to see because we know how energetic the Star Citizen community is and how like enthusiastic they are about everything. Are we going to see people making targeted ads on social media for their own in-game stores? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm all for that. Pete, I'll start there. I'll be doing that. 100 % I'll be doing that. If you need some voiceover work done, just talk to me. 100%. Oh my God, this is going to be amazing. That's the joy of it, isn't it? You come across you want something specific in the game. You want to go to someone that knows about that thing. Same as real life. You call a plumber when you've got a leaky pipe, not an electrician and vice versa. You want people that specialize in a role and then it's it's word of mouth and it's feedback, isn't it? You talk around, you go to a space station and when VoIP is working one day, you can maybe talk to other players and be like, hey, I'm looking to buy a pistol. Do you have any recommendations? Yeah, swanky down on Daymar. He's over near, I don't know, Brio's Breaker Yard, 30 km to the east or whatever. If you find him over there, he makes really good pistols and he's trustworthy, good ratings. That kind of word of mouth, that's the level of what Star Citizen will achieve. And I love that. It's the reason I back the game. I wonder if there's any other games out there that have achieved this level of enthusiasm and have that. So like, is it Star Wars Galaxies that Eason kept rabbiting all about? and talk about the crafting system in there. Honestly, man, he couldn't get a podcast without talking about it. He loves the game. He's super passionate about it. And I'm all for that. I wonder if they had the same thing, whereas like you've scrolling your Facebook back in the day and it's like, oh, Star Wars Galaxy is because you play it and it knows that you're a player. It's going to target you with those ads and say, come and get your lightsaber here. New crystal or something like, I don't know. I wonder if that's already been a thing. I think Rust kind of does it to an extent. People have like shots on Rust and like Garry's mod even, but like you would walk around on Rust and you would find people that you can make your own pre-written signs, obviously on a much smaller scale. No, I mean in real life, like you're on your phone at work and it's like, ⁓ yeah, some guy needs to tap in my player for a new multi-tool that has a longer battery life than everything else or something. A hundred percent. I mean, World at Warcraft, I mean, almost certainly has done something like that. I'm pretty sure. Yeah. I mean, I know this is a slight caveat to the side. You're talking about why you backed the game and things like this. Like I'd love it if maybe not crafting the best weapons or the best something, but having a place or a base where it's like a restaurant or it's like a bar, you know, like there's American, there's American dive bars or something where they come in and I'll be there like, Hey, how you doing? I could get you something. What do want? Come take a seat as you're they've been. And I'd love to just, if VoIP's working properly, I'd love to role play as like a bar owner or something like that. Just for- Kyosa there. Kyosa will be right there. It'll be bartender. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That would just be the sickest thing. Like if VoIP working correctly, if you could create something like that and it's like a safe, secure location, people could come chill, hang out. It could be a role player's heaven. Like with base building and having your own places and your own, like especially because they showed off that high tower, didn't they? Could you imagine like a fat bird machinima with that high tower in play? Like the big bad boss is up there giving his monologue looking out over there as something comes in, something epic's happening in the background. Or, you know, like in Star Wars, when you've got the emperor sat there and the Imperial fleet and the rebel fleet are fighting in the background. You just sat there in that high tower and it's like, think your friends are here to save you. They're all going to die. ⁓ Give in to the dark side of the force. You know. Dude, it's going to be sick. Anyway, that's my, that's my segue, but ⁓ just on that topic though, like talking about like owning a restaurant or a bar. I want to plant the seed into Chris Roberts head. If he hasn't already thought about this and I'm sure he has, but off the back of playing ridiculous amounts of Crimson Desert, cause it is an unbelievable game at the moment. I'm loving it. ⁓ but obviously it's taken inspiration from other games like Zelda with like the food and the point that I'm trying to get across is like, I'm hoping there is, ⁓ You can make food with different resources, whether it's from a different animal or a different fruit in the world or ⁓ whatever, and you cook it in a certain way and you, you you cure your meats, whatever you have to do. But you can make food that gives you certain ⁓ benefits to your character, right? Like ⁓ temperature resistance or ⁓ more, I don't know, more has more G tolerance, whatever it can be, these little, little increases to your abilities in the game. could be that you don't need to eat or drink for a longer amount of time or... sustenance right? yeah. All these little things. If you had people that specialize in that, you could then have a restaurant of like you turn up and it's like, ⁓ yeah, make sure to get this, make sure to go to this person who's made this food. He hasn't shared his recipe with anyone. So he knows how to make this exact stuff. Yeah. And you have to go and you have to go and visit them to get these stats increased. And that would be really cool. Obviously it'd be temporary, right? But that would be really, really cool. The wagyu the GFA does on Daymar is just simply sublime. I couldn't find it anywhere else. how... We know this guy already. Yeah. We know this dude. So like when you were talking about this a minute ago and you're saying, oh, you want to have like a bar and something. I straight away in my head went to like Moss Isley and it's like, that was where you wanted to go. for instance, you've got your patch of land on Microtech or Daymar or wherever. And you have a farm in your sort of thing with having the restaurant. So you need the food to be able to have it. So what if you have your plot of land, but you select like a local office, like a local area, which gets clustered with loads of other players in the local point of interest. So if you've got like your plot of land in that area, you automatically get a little hovel or area in that central location, which grows with the player base. So you do have Mos Eisley, but you actually have your farm outside. Like a community village. Yeah. Yeah. Allocated an area which then players can come. This is so sick. I just literally right. You come and land in your Mos Eisley area and then straight away next to yours. You've got someone else that sells something else which they do and they're all like they can have a shop or they get an allocated. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you can go and use their kiosk and go and buy stuff. transport it around on foot like brings in like little UTV style vehicles. That would be so sick. then you don't have to have so much of the hard work put into it in having to go online and having to make connections and finding out that GFA has got a farm that's all the way out there, but you have to travel all the way out there when actually I'm in Mos Eisley and I can go just two doors down and it's GFA's like kiosk area and you can choose from what he's got in his inventory of what he's got off the sale. Well, on that topic, even if that side of it isn't as integrated as, or isn't as possible to be as integrated as we'd like, it could be something even more simple of an org want to build a location that is like a big mall, like a big food court. So an org go and build this base and then they sell plots to other players to come and sell their stuff. So maybe for like a monthly amount, like a subscription, a round of subscription. You pay a million UEC a month and then you get a plot of this popular location that players come to to buy their stuff and you can sell your goods on our plot. But you pay this monthly fee to be there like any other like market. So you'd have a player created marketplace, people that are big enough to build it, make sure it's secure, have security, have turrets and stuff. And then it's just like. or whatever. It's just like this marketplace. just land, there's a little bar there, but there's people selling their individual little stands of whatever they want to sell. they, they're mate. This is the kind of stuff that I really, really hope becomes reality within Star Citizen. I can't, I can't wait for one day. It's like, we're, we're at the quantum dispatch. That could be the name. Yeah. Yeah. The quantum dispatch market. The quantum dispatch. It just, and that's it here. You want to buy some death sticks? don't want to sell me death sticks. I don't want to sell you death sticks. You want to go home and rethink your life. But imagine if just like us landing, getting out and walking through like a busy marketplace to get to our headquarters, the other side of the market and things like this. And we're talking in game and we stop halfway to pick up something on the side and they're like, Hey, one doc, thanks for the plot. I got some extra sales this week. And you're like, yeah, no worries, man. Don't worry. Remember to pay on time. Like, and then you've got security forces that you hire. And, then they've talked about like, bounty hunting eventually being on planets as well as in space. So eventually then you've got someone there who's a bounty for someone. And, know, as you're walking through, something will naturally happen as like someone comes past and takes someone down, puts them in cuffs and walks them away. You know, just the universe alive around you, you know, as it goes on, just, Yeah. Ash's creation were heading in this sort of direction. They wanted to make it so that if you were doing missions in a particular area, it would enrich that area. And so there would be more gold flowing. would expand. would become more sort of like nicer, more modernistic. But there is some backend developer who's going to come across this and start like getting his mates to downvote it because he's like, I'm not putting the work and effort into this. is crazy amounts of coding. But the holistic side of this is how positive that experience would be of just going for a walk around points of interest, finding out who's there, who's physically there, like what they're selling. making friends, making connections. That's what this game's about really, isn't it? And yeah, ⁓ man, that'd be awful. That'd be so cool. CIG would have to put a lot of work into making like those bubbles that are, you know, like the high sec bubbles that you see, you can't nuke it from orbit and stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because there's always going to be people that exist in this game, like GrieferNet, would try and ruin that. Like if there was a market, they would just try and drop bomb after bomb on it to try and destroy it. Obviously, like the market needs to have security and need to have players that will defend it. And like that's that is part of the gameplay, right? As you have a security team and people that go there, be like, be careful of the bandits that lurking outside that one of ruin everyone's day. Like I think it would be really cool. But there's also levels that people in grief and it probably cheese it and try and bring a bomb in the back of a Pisces and run it into the market. So there's always CIG do need to put like measures in place to stop stuff like that from happening, which I know they're very aware of that situation, so we'll see how it goes ⁓ in the future. But yeah, man, Star Citizen does have these kind of like these moments of like incredible potential. And ⁓ yeah, I just think is baseboarding is going to be such a huge moment and farming, ⁓ which I think brings us perfectly, guys, on to talking about things like the next ships. and things that might be coming out and maybe what we've just seen with the UTV. I think it was yourself Swanky when we, when the UTV, when we took it out in the video we just did. and I was like, what's the purpose of this? Why is it here? And I think you said base building. Yeah. Yeah. Something like base building and crafting. Cause I think, ⁓ with the crafting machines, you can either load it by having in your local inventory or by putting one SCU of something into it, like one SCU container. So I think the UTV has come out at a perfect time of if you just need a certain amount of something that specific, it's almost as if it's perfectly matched for going in your crafting thing. If for example, you've taken it and you set up a little random homestead somewhere with your crafting machine, you can get the one SOU or something you need to take it over, it in. But with base building, it's going to be like that. And then also with, isn't it the distribution centers? there's going to be missions that was there supposed to be missions. I don't know if there is already because I haven't been to one and God knows how long. CJ's confirming there isn't. He was like, yes, there are centers. No, isn't missions. Where you're supposed to be able to take one SEU or many SEUs of something from one part of the station to another part of the station. Cause they want local missions. And so I think, I think it's all a precursor for base building really. Cause that's going to be, you need one SEU or something over there to build that thing. take it over with the UTV instead of literally tractor beaming it and just. Yeah, gets painful. So what you're saying is the UTV is just a worse mole. Not mole, mule. Mule. Yes. Because a mule takes two SCUs of cargo when it gets its tractor. It doesn't matter. You can take two SCUs worth of cargo and if you're just a Chad to stand on one of the boxes, then it's... ⁓ And then you can take... course. Mule is also bigger. Spike makes a great point. It takes six what? ⁓ Six Not everyone has a big one, okay? You've got to make the most of what you've got, all right? Yeah, I mean, and it's Drake. Exactly, reasons to have him. But yeah, those missions, the distro missions are making me really happy for when the mule does get its front magnetized forks working, because then you'll be able to move a box, pick it up from the front. And then you eat one with a bum of the mule because you drive over it and then snap on and then you can drive off. if you've got the CSV boxes, you can throw them on the side. want a big flat bed where you can put like 20 SE on the back and it's a big flat bed truck. Where's that? I want that. I would love to see that. I would love to see roads, you know, when they populate planets with like everything. And I would love to see roads between the outposts and cities that you can drive. Roads have been confirmed. Yeah. It's one of those where like the ironclad, you can just throw a thousand SU a cargo into an ironclad, but you can go and get a Scania and just drive it there. And it's going to take five times as long. you get to go on a road trip. trip, Road trip. that's the thing, isn't it? With the change to points of interest and POIs at 2024 sitcom, they were talking about how all of a sudden there's going to be hundreds, if not thousands of points of interest. or with their own unique needs and things. And depending on where they are, it's all going to change. ⁓ I imagine that will probably come in with ⁓ Genesis. I'm guessing, cause there's no point putting it in there now and then having to change it when Genesis arrives. That's the reason why I think everything on planets is still so janky, like bunkers and the other little points of interest. I think they will all change and be massively different when Genesis comes in, which hopefully some point this year, but just imagine like, jungle biome or rainforest biome with a road through the middle of it. And you're just driving along beans of light coming through the millions of trees in this forest you're going through. And there's an off road to the right and you take that off road and it takes you to a random outpost somewhere where they have their own missions. yeah, things like that, man, which just makes me so excited. That's sitcom 2024 presentation with Genesis and all the base stuff. And the point of it, I was like, please. Yeah. And we need AI, like we need AI living in the universe doing stuff. Yes. So we need to make it feel lived in. know they want the players to fulfill that role. Yeah. Yeah. Not standing on benches, just T-posing and like we have seen, we have seen ships landing at stations now. Yes, we have. We've seen, I've, well, I've definitely seen an increase in like AI backup, like like cut, cut this is arriving with AI ⁓ shoestings, like people jumping off the back and actually engaging in combat, like AI backup. So But the AI are doing more and that's really cool to see. we do need, I need it, I want to feel like it's lived in. So yeah, as you say, I want to drive through like a forest or a swamp and see some AI going about doing their business. Which I'm sure will be there soon. an AI cargo, I want to be able to pirate an AI cargo ship if there's no players around. there's so much. I mean, cuffs and then push them out the airlock door. You're a need to walk the plank. ⁓ it's going to be great. the more, yeah, the more we look at this, the further away it is, right? Like 1.0 is genuinely still like five years away. Yeah. I don't mind that. Considering the amount of things that they wanted to have ready for 1.0. that's a while. So I'm always the kind of person, ⁓ it's going to be like years and years and years away kind of thing. But I'm going to caveat that with once Starcatech and Genesis are running, we're going to see systems appear like quickly. I reckon there'll be point patches where they just throw another system in. Like Kastra will just appear. Yeah. So Kastra is going to be a big one. But when you go down the road of once we've got ⁓ Stantempironix, Kastra and Terra. Once we've got those, I expect them by that point to have Genesis sort of like nipped and Starquetecht nipped and all of these... Maelstrom flights, the finalized, I say finalized, their version of flight systems. But more so the things that are delaying us currently. So the reason why we ain't getting planets and star systems is because there's no point. They don't want to make these planets and star systems because they don't have Genesis. They don't have Starquetecht and stuff like that. So once they have all of this, they can probably and I'm not I'm not a game dev person, but I assume they can quite literally just run code, generate this body five planets, literally just do a JSON and it's got like the planet stats to it. ⁓ this is going to be a gas giant or whatever. Literally just click enter and then how it's it's the sound of Genesis and stuff is supposed to work. It it generates the planets and then the Star architecture will obviously generate everything on the planets. And then the devs just go through everything afterwards and just fix things, just patch up holes and make things look a bit pretty and do a little bit of final tweaking. But I think once they're getting closer to completion, which granted they showed us a gameplay footage of it two years ago, over two years ago, and we've heard nothing since pretty much like about how it's getting on. I don't know how far that is, but once that's done, effectively, we'll either see a ramp up of star systems, or that's when more focus are going to the other things effectively spin up the 1.0 release. I would agree five years, probably plus, just judging by the current development process. Boy, get get anthropic on it. Just get the Claude in there. Replace all the devs with Claude and just be like, yeah. prompt, generate 81 star systems and full gameplay mechanics. And then just overnight, done. Star system complete, released. Like you said, CJ, think Total Giza hit the note ahead of what I was going to add to that point, which has been the only thing they'd really need to do is those unique locations. obviously everything with Genesis when they spoke about it in 2024 was that it's automated. Like they've created an algorithm which does this for you automatically. So they will just go, this is the world we need. Bam. And it does the weather systems, the nature, the biomes, everything else sorted. not like now where it's manually, there's a patch of ground missing from underneath a base in pyro. You need to go and manually fix that. It'll be should. Where's would? Oh yeah. Should just work from the off, you know? But yeah, there's points of interest. Total Giza by the way, the mountain base in Sherman. My word, if I'm ever to have a base. make it be on top of one of those mountains so when I take off I can just dip down through the clouds. Yes. Yeah, I mean, seeing as we're on the topic of theory, Carlton, I don't know if you've got a segue into a different part, GFA. Let's look at what we've got coming up in the more short term. Because as we know, I don't know if you've got the sneak peek picture up. do. But we shall be expecting ironclad. And I'm going to say ironclad because I don't know whether it means ironclads. We are obviously expecting one, but it depends on how different they are internally in terms of features and functions. But that is the command module. Whether that is from the caterpillar or the ironclad shouldn't really make a difference because it's supposed to be the same, effectively the same thing. command module. So once that command module is done, there should really be no restrictions or what's it called when a feature isn't ready, so they can't release it. The only thing I can think is the assault has a repair bay for ground vehicles. can imagine. With 4.8, I would literally have this up before just to double check. With 4.8, are getting refueling, docking and repairing features. Yeah, implementing service gameplay updates that draw from resources stored in your ship's cargo grid to refueling, repair and restock. So that's probably why they have to release that 4.8 is because the ironclad assault is coming because you can repair things in its hanger. Yeah. So there's no blockers. So ironclads, I mean, I'm going to be excited. I'm, I'm and forgive me for the the Gen Z speak, but I'm gooning to the ironclads. ⁓ no. They're going to be so good and they're going to be multi-purpose. Yeah, they are. Neon One Dark are going to be flying around ArtCorp picking up all the C8 Pisces dash tutorials. Like we're just going to be going, I'm a num, num, num, num, num, num. And then hold them, them ransom until they join. Yeah. So yeah. Join Alpha Eridani. Yeah. If you don't, we're never leaving, letting you out of here alive. It's when Alpha Eridani doubles in doubles in player cap overnight. And then Hyperion's just like, what is going on here? their application thing. It's like, why are you joining the org? I had to, they wouldn't let me leave, but I'm just joining the game. But yeah, but then that obviously brings in another huge cargo hauler as well, because the cargo capacity on the Ironclad is pretty beefy. ⁓ 1.5K in it. Yeah, so it's quite a chunky amount of cargo for a relatively small crewed ship. ⁓ sunroof internal turret systems as well, I think for the assault. The normal, the base is replaced with a ⁓ tractor beam module, I believe, but the assault has an internal turret, which I'm hoping is a PDC. So rather than a player controlled turret, just auto shoots people that aren't in parties. was going to say, let's just make sure they get that right. Unlike the Polaris was when it first came out where it just yeets everyone. But then obviously vehicle repair module on the inside. That's gonna huge. It's big considering what you think else it releases, because that releases the Vulcan, that releases the Crucible to an extent, ⁓ that releases you name it. That's also work for the Kraken as well. I was gonna say, yeah, they're also working on the Kraken, they, at the moment? ⁓ So the Kraken has an internal vehicle repair bay for the Dragonflies, maybe only limited to Dragonflies, but we don't know yet. So, yeah, it's going to release a lot stuff. ⁓ I'm excited for it. I'm glad it's going to be a game changer for for a lot of people. Is that the last Drake concept ship for Kraken? After the Ironclads are out. Ironclads, yes. Yeah, think so. I think that's a sign still delivered because they said no more concept ships. There'll be some more stricter drops and releases like they want like the UTV. There'll be some I'm sure there'll be some. other new ships that will come out that will just be either Mark twos that I do expect will get like an Avenger Mark two or something, because that was I did that video recently, the Aurora versus the Avenger and the Avengers so dated. I think it would get a gold pass and hopefully a mark two. Yeah, because the Avengers are a beloved ship. So I'm sure we'll see some of those that are like just drops randomly. But also, I'm sure there'll be some brand new ships that they don't even concept. They'll just go like, Bosch, here it is right. ⁓ I'm sure there'll be other Drake ships is what I'm getting at that we don't know about. as for concepts of people have bought, I think it's just a Kraken, which is really cool because they're blasting through and we've got the galaxy the end of this year. Yes, I don't know who at CIG I need to speak to about getting the Odyssey done. But honestly, I will take them all out for a seafood dinner and never call them again if they can just get that Odyssey done. Like just get that Odyssey. I want that ship in the game. Misk was getting loads of love. They're doing all the big ships, right? Like the Misc was getting loads of love, all the whole series stuff. And they were like, ⁓ yeah, we're working our way through like one manufacturer at the time. Obviously RSI's had so much love recently. I just want that Odyssey so Well, if, if, because they've changed slightly the design language for the hull B, what if that's a precursor for them then moving on to potentially looking at the Odyssey because they've changed the design language? Yeah. Yeah. Oh man, I'd love to see it. was just, I was just sprinkling some hope here, money there for a second. So I thought I see an opportunity here. I get why there's no point because exploration is the last gameplay loop that will make it into the game. The very last one. So it has currently as well. Yeah. I get it. And everything like that. So yeah, there's no point of putting in the game yet. It would be one of the last ships we see, but I'm disappointed. I just can't wait for that ship. It's the new character for me, man. I'm excited for it. Do you think, talking about gold passes and reworks with the Connies, do you think they'll gold pass them or do you think they'll mark two? Maybe not all, obviously not all of them, because there's quite a few of them. Do you think they'll maybe gold pass and then do a connie mark two? They'll definitely gold pass, won't they? They've got to, right? They're going to pass everything. to. They have to by gold pass. Yeah. Probably ⁓ that and the freelancer. Yeah. Do you know what I All those old school ships. don't own a freelancer and I will never own a freelancer. The freelancer is the only ship in the game that I would happily admit needs the gold pass. Yeah. Because it doesn't work. Does it need a Mark 2 now it's got the star lancer? No, I the star lancer is its Mark 2, but it does need a gold pass. Okay. Yeah, fair. That's a fair comment. Yeah. So I know, I know we're going to overrun now, but we need to stop. Well, I say we, we don't do it. Mark II, I'm not a fan of Mark II's. ⁓ I know why they do it because it gives them a reason to work on gold pass money as well. But also they're not going to go back and work for free on a freelancer. Like who else is going to buy freelancer? They might sell some more, but people already own them. So they're not making money off of... They might, but then also the star lancer exists. So why would you buy a freelancer Mark? Other than just nostalgia. Exactly. But... On the other hand, they promise ships with functionality. They need to make them work. They have to gold pass them like morally. They have to gold pass them. They will. They will. Yeah, nothing. They're not going to leave a ship just to die like all the ships that all the old ships, they'll get their love for 1.0 or after, but they'll get their love eventually so that people that own them can use them with the up to date mechanics of the game like external components and all that stuff, because without that, there's no crafting, right? Like you have to be able to craft stuff and put it on the ship. Piracy. So many ships need that gold pass, so we will see that on everything. It's just, as you say, priority is going to be selling new stuff to keep funding the game. It will be the Mark twos. will be the redesigns. It will be the new ships, unfortunately, for the people that own the older ships, which is pretty much everyone at this point, really, unless you're brand new to the game and you've just picked up like an Aurora Mark two or something. It's a shame. What a downgrade. If you've just got onto the game, you picked up on a Royal Mark II and you're like, oh, this thing's sick. And then the next ship you go and buy, you're like, oh yeah, freelancer, I want cook four more cargo. And you're fucking back into the fucking 1970s. You're playing the original Tomb Raider all of a sudden. You've gone from high fidelity to what the fuck is this? that's a very You've got your ship speaking to you in a luscious tone and all of sudden you get in the fucking freelancer and all we can hear is dial up. In 2955, by the way. That's a really good point, actually. That upgrade, or even a Cutlass. Like, the old Cutlass. There's so many ships that need the love. And I think that I agree with you in many ways, CJ. The Mark II's annoyed me because I would want to see the gold pass before a Mark II, like 100 % of the time. I want to see the gold pass there where it's completely polished and ready for the current gameplay with the current mechanics before we see a Mark II. But because of business, it's just never going to really work that way. Unfortunately. I mean, to be fair, the Aurora did have that right. They gold pass the Aurora Mark one. Then we got the mark to the only other ship we've really had a mark to star lancer, which, as you say, technically wasn't Mark two, but it was. And they didn't touch the freelancer. That was criminal. The Hornets, the Mark one Hornets are still dated. They didn't get really a gold pass at all, they? As far as I know, they just released it. The mark twos. just released mark twos. Did they, uh, did they suns, uh, they sunset the mark ones, didn't they? No, no, they, well, yeah. So they pulled them so you can't purchase them, but you can still buy from buybacks. You can't. Oh, yeah. So they haven't, like the aura. Okay. Nope. Uh, which scares me because they don't know what they're doing from one ship to another. They don't have a clue. Like everything is, there's no consistency with it. Is that exactly. So which then leaves us being like, well, what's your plan here? If nothing's the same. Yeah. ⁓ but I kind of get it. And I know why they have to mark two things, things that me off more than the Mark two though. The Mark one se for the Aurora. Why would you release a ship that is the same ship as everything else, but better in every aspect? Yeah. Why do you just not, why, does no point having the rest? Yeah. Just release the Mark two. Don't release the se. It's like releasing a Drake Cutlass, but a Drake Cutlass has got a med bed, a EMP, ⁓ and tons of guns and can hold tons of cargo. The SE we're wonky choice. Let's release a ship that can do a bit of what all the other ones can do for a Mark 1 chassis. It's annoying because it is and we've said this before and this isn't like White Knight in all or kicking off like about CIG. It just shows that the entirety of the game is purely funded by the market team. Like it. is and they decide what happens like they want money. That's it. That's and I get it. It's a business. I get it. I appreciate that is is their job. Yeah. But they should they should one. They should not be Mark twos unless it requires it because they're dated and like really just don't fit like the mark one. The reason the mark one Hornets got updated to the mark two Hornets because components didn't fit. Yeah. There's no space. They make it work. Yeah. But like yeah. So then obviously I can understand those getting the mark twos. But then certain things like the Aurora getting the Mark II's. All right. Sweet. Maybe the components didn't fit. But then why release an SE? That null avoids all of the other Mark I's that have been around since day one. It's people that have bought four different variants of the Aurora so they can do all the cargo loops. They've just been picked on by CRG because now they've released one that does everything. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with your sentiment. But I mean, if you go to the CCU game, website and open up the funding tracker, you will see that in the first three months of this year, they did better than last year. That's the problem. market. Not even well, barely a third through the month. Last year was the best year. yeah, last year was outstandingly the best year. And this trend was the same with the Galaxy coming out as well on all their modules. Clouds being released. But that's the thing, the marketing team are so like predatory in their way they work. but the backers are also. part of problem as well. The back. We are, we are the problem. We are the issue. We are the problem because every time they release a ship, it's opening the wallet every time. It's even that. It's contactless. how many times have you bought like an LTI token or how many times have you bought CCU so you can sell them later? Or how many times have you bought the new ship because you're really excited because it does something kind of cool and new. That's the flavor of the month. And then next month they'll do it again. Like The whole B right now, the whole B is great. I think it's amazing. But I own a Raylan. I don't own a whole B. I own a Raylan. As soon as the Raylan's out, that's going to be flavor of the month. And people will be banging about how cool that is. And that's going to have more cargo than the whole B does because they're upscaling the cargo of the Raylan already has 400 and something. So it's going to definitely go over the 512 of the whole B. then something that will be more unique than the whole B, won't it? Yeah. We've already seen a whole A, we've already seen a whole C. Braille is going to be something completely different. I've always said I want an alien ship on my fleet. yeah. The CIG marketing team and funding the way it works is all about FOMO and flavor of the month. It's the rule of call. What's new? What's hip? What's what's everyone talking about? Then then follow month it will happen again. But the beauty of it is they don't have to offer CCUs trade ups melting store credit. They don't have to do that. The fact that they do is very nice because you can just melt your ship and buy the new one if you want. I know war bonds a thing, but whatever. Like you can just melt your ship. You can just CC you can. So that freedom is amazing. And it's I think that's the thing. The sunset and of the older ships is the thing I don't like because that's what's that's what's kept. I think CIG in. Most people's good books with stuff like this and the predatory marketing, which I completely understand. They have to make money crowdfunded game. Yeah, I just the CCUs help that. So I don't know. I'm a bit conflicted with it. I completely see where you're coming from. Part of me thinks they've got to make their money and do it. Otherwise, the game doesn't get finished. And the other part of me is like, I wish someone else would be making decisions rather than marketing, because it is very clear the marketing drive. 90 % of ship decisions. can I just say as a slight caveat for a moment, have just, thank you very much everyone. We have just passed over 750 followers. Hey! Three quarters of a way. 750, 751 to be precise. But yes, over three quarters of the way towards 1000 followers on Twitch. If every one of you gave me a pound, I can buy a Hallé. Don't, don't. Don't do it. He's not going to buy a heli. He's not going to, it's going to go on Drake ships. He's going to buy ironclads. Yeah. He's going to buy Drake ships. Don't do it. Yeah. On top of the five that he already owns. don't. That's the thing. Yeah. You're the problem as well. You've bought ironclads. We're all the problem. Mine is CCU'd. At this point we've all got, we've all got more money than cents when it comes to this game. ⁓ and. All we can do is hope that they deliver on their own goals, which they want to do more than anyone. Like we want the game to be the game, but no one is as passionate and wants it to succeed as much as people like Chris Roberts, Jared, the CIG team are there. It's just a job to them, right? But if they didn't believe in the project, they would just get a new job. But at the end of the day, they love what they're doing and they want it to be as good as much as we want it to be good. You know, when Elliot's making a mission or whatever, like they want it to be good. They want to see players enjoying it and being like, this is sick. Like that's, that's the joy of this project. They're just as passionate. So I would say like with the, with the recent bar citizen, ⁓ that we were at, ⁓ just being able to sit there and talk to the devs. All of them are so passionate. Like that, like adding to what you said, you're afraid they're all so passionate. They want the same things we want. They're genuinely interested in. what we want to do and how we want this to come across and in how we feel about the things that they've made. There was the one guy from the marketing team, not the marketing team, the, what is it? Why can't, why can't I think of it? What the credits are? I kind of think the, my brain has gone completely blank. The economy. The economy. Thank you. Thanks everyone. The brain freeze was sponsored by the quantum dispatch. I thought you were ending the podcast there. And we're going to leave now because Sanke is broken. Yeah. So the guy from the economy team was there and pretty much every few seconds that turned around to that's completely broken. Hey, just like, and then they point at the gentleman and he'd like, shut up. He's like, I know, I know, I know it's going to be fixed, but all of them are so passionate. They want it to work. They want us to enjoy it. They have the same dreams about it. A lot of them were originally backers as well. And they come into it same as we were like, if any of us four then got to work for them. We bring the same passion into it and we've got the same things that they do. They're all going, what do you think of this? I love this. What did you think of it? And maybe we could have done that better. And it just having seen that firsthand, I think if I had never met any of the devs, would have to any of these, I'd have a very different standpoint on the game and a feeling for it. because, you know, you feed off the energy of other people, like seeing them and what they do and the way they talk so passionately about it and listen to what you're saying. You're like, yeah, I'm excited for this. Yeah. A hundred percent. I think, ⁓ I think that brings us very nicely to the, ⁓ the end of episode three. I mean, technically I don't know what episode we're ⁓ Four. Sorry, God, I can't keep up. Four. Spotify four, we'll call it. ⁓ I did want to share one thing. This is what I messaged in the group chat about the other day. ⁓ so a long time ago, a long time ago, I wrote a song for Star Citizen. And I sent it to a musician friend of mine. I don't get too excited. Oh, let me get there. Um, a musician friend of mine, I wrote a song and I did like a song on the song. I'm not very good at singing, but I wanted to send it to him because he, didn't, lives in America. He's really, really good at the stuff he's done. His name's Durand IV. He's fantastic or Durand IV, suppose. Um, I sent it over to him and we never really got the project going, but I wanted to make it like a really cool song to put on YouTube. This was. genuinely like two, three years ago when I first started doing Star Citizen content. Fast forward, the other day I found the file when I was clearing out my G drive, I found the file and I was like, right, I want to see if I can do something with this with AI. So I uploaded like my vocals to AI and tried to make a song out of it with the same lyrics, by the way, like all these lyrics are exactly as I put them together. It spat out a song. Okay. Now it doesn't really sound like me. It kind of does kind of doesn't, but it's set out. It's spout the most like, like Mary, Mary Poppins level of like song. I wanted to share it with you guys. it's two weeks long. Enjoy this. It's called feeling kind of lonely. Bum da dum. So I fly away, already gone. It's very funny isn't it? engines as they roar behind ripping up the air like they stop in time you can't take the sky away from me from When we fly amongst the stars Because we're all one crew just trying to play the game. They say in space no one can hear you scream, but even Ripley can hear me sing. Because we're all one crew just trying to play the game. What's this now? Things have stopped working They say that comes with age But that's not what this is right now Pretty sure it's a 30k Can't click any of the buttons And my lips taking me out into space And there goes my shit in the distance Guess I'll have to wait for the claim People are always asking why I put myself through this pain And I simply show them the beauty of this game Even when a wipe makes you start again There's nothing like Star Citizen Because when we fly amongst the stars We we've found our cause Cos we're all one crew just trying to play No, he doesn't we're getting DMCA striked on anything possibly there Oh, dude, dude, dude, dude, if you want, me the lyrics. no, no. You know, I can imagine, you know, I can imagine. You'd hear. You know the hammerhead from the Squadron Boy. It was the fact that it took my voice but then made it really cockney like Mary Poppins. Like it was just it was so funny and ⁓ yeah I had to share it. I also made a drill version which I'll share with you guys privately because it is not as good but that one just it really took me by surprise and it was so funny. And I just, I thought Swanky's going to love this. You know what we need to do? We need to upload all four of our voices and make a barbershop, a barbershop quartet version of it with the four of us. Done. No, no, Let's do ⁓ a genuine production. Dude, I'd be for it. Yeah. there's anyone out there that can do music production, hit us up. when we'll write something, sing something, or make a song properly that isn't AI. Because I'm stuck here in a server error and my cargo keeps a floating away. It'd be so good. Dude. Yeah. That does sound like a fun weekend. At one point during that, looked at the chat and I saw someone say, my ears. Then I saw someone say, I lowkey like it. And then I just looked up and saw CJ with his head in his hands. CJ was actually crying at some point during that. was was a tear. GFA also, a plum tomato that was less red than your head was earlier for my dinner. It's still red. I'm sweating. I'm perspiring in embarrassment. But I was like, I need to share it. is this getting uploaded as a single? We can upload it. Spotify? That's the first QD single? mean, we probably need to redo it and I'll sing it. Cause that, I mean the voice in that like... I can come in for the chorus if you want. No one can hear me scream. Whoa, whoa. It's proper cockney. Like the chimney suite. Yeah. All right. Well, yeah. We've got Quantum Dispatch events, we've got Quantum Dispatch podcast, and we've got Quantum Dispatch production studio. Quantum Dispatch world tour coming 2027. Pickets are flying off already.
