Hello everyone and welcome back to the Quantum Dispatch. It's been a while. Today we have an update for you on the future of the channel and where our journey goes next. Yes, as for many years we have lived and breathed Star Citizen, covering everything from news and updates together with hosting a magnitude of in real life events such as Bar Citizens and the very much beloved National Space Center CitizenCon watch party in Leicester last year. Sadly, however, for a variety of reasons we've made the decision to diversify our content and move away from focusing solely on Star Citizen. Exactly. We want to take things in a new and exciting direction. Now that doesn't mean we won't cover Star Citizen when there's some interesting things to talk about, but to be completely honest, we're just not playing the game right now. Yes, and it would be disingenuous for us to sit here and talk about patch notes or gameplay or even theorycraft about something we're currently very disconnected from. Hopefully though, things will change down the line and we'll get the passion back for the project. But currently that just isn't the case and we don't want s we just don't want to stop making content. So, well, what's next? Well, we're broadening our scope. we all play different games every week. and ultimately gaming is still our biggest hobby. And we feel like we can bring you more fun, more entertainment, and more interesting content across a variety of games we play. this means news, updates, upcoming games, industry changes, and anything you need to know about gaming in general. It also means more gameplay videos and a wider variety of content being posted on the channel. It means community nights, live streams and all round bigger presents from us. I mean, what games are you gonna guys gonna be bringing to the table? War Dogs. Wardogs. War Dogs, War Dogs, War Dogs War Dogs. I don't know, man. I I've been playing a lot of Witcher Three today. I've been playing a lot of Valheim alongside Wardogs. I'm really looking forward to Star Wars Galactic Racer coming out in the second. we've got other games coming out as on Scope Your GTA just around the corner. We've got Fable next year. Yeah. I'm ex Day the new Gears of War Gears of Week Day, eighth of October. Yeah. Well the first if you've got the the legendary edition or the deluxe edition on pre order, which I may have done. So I get it in just two days. I'm very excited. It's as you know, Gears of War is one of my most favourite franchises of all time and I love the beta, so excited to get into that. But outside of War Dog CJ, what about Well I gonna say, let's not forget we do have Squadron forty two coming up. and then looking forward to sort of like one point every release. So like like we said, obviously we're not gonna stop doing Star Citizen. we're still gonna keep up to date of all the info. still potentially attend events as us. but end of the day I get to potentially bring you some Hunt Showdown content. Again, war dogs, I mean I'm not gonna be playing GTA, that's not my style of game. But yeah, I mean bloody Minecraft content. Anything. At this moment in time, I'm having fun playing a lot of other games. So yeah. I'll be interested to see what happens. And there's just so much coming out. So there'll be there's so many patch notes and updates to older games like Helldivers 2 just had a big one and Space Marine. Like we want to talk about these things in the more general sphere of gaming anyway. Cause that's our hobby, as we said earlier. Now, I will still be making Star Citizen content on my own channel, but that doesn't mean that I it's the only game I play. My content is so like every now and then at this point. So I just I just get hooked on other games. Even like Crimson Desert, I wanna go back and finish that 'cause I've got really into that game, hundreds of hours and I'm I'm near the end but I didn't complete it. There's just so many things that we could discuss. And some fun segments that we can bring each week about upcoming games and potentially early access to games that we can bring to you guys and show tell tell you what we think of them, some reviews and such. So that the net is wide and we can do many other things now that we're stepping away and diversifying what we are planning to do. But let's not forget though, it's not just about the games that we play. It's the games that you play. Mm-hmm. So if there's something you want to see and we ain't covering it in our normal routine or our normal content and there's a random little indie game that you you think might be a good idea. I'll do the cheesy line, drop in the comments. and then we can check it out. and as we know, indie games at the minute are are are corner in the market. they have been for a while. Indie games have been really strong. So if there's anything that we're not picking up on you think might be good content, then yeah. Yeah, Swankin and I saw quite quite a good choice of indie games coming to the market very soon, which I'm looking forward to covering. Even the old I can't remember what they're called now, but they there's a company that makes all these retro games. Or they're making new games, but they make look retro and it's yeah, class. The name will come to me. But there's a lot coming up that I'm looking forward to. Tons. Tons and tons and tons and our goal is to also every week, every podcast, to maybe find one new game that you might not have heard of and bring it to the table. So things like that. There's there's so much that we can do with this channel. And that's that's the main reason we wanna do some different things. Play other games. Play other games. I'll see you in the bayou. Hug showdown, another thing. We need to we we need to take Pete on a trip. I tried once and he cried and quit the game. He cried quit the game. I just understand. I'm like, wow, okay, cool. We're doing this. Where where are you guys? we're on the other side of the map. I'll be like, okay, get over to him. Cool. Where they gone? Are we over here now? Christ, I died. Okay, we we will be with you in just a moment. I get resed, I literally get my stuff together. Where are they gone? They're over the other side of the map. I step out, I killed them like I'm done. That a hundred percent sounds like a you problem and a skill issue. Maybe so there's a new game issue. That's what it was. New game issue. There's a new monster, there's a new boss, and it is scary.
