Claire Day: Welcome back to Thresholds and Crossroads, and this week I have a recording to share with you that I had a conversation with the wonderful Tiffany Carroll. And Tiffany, who you will have heard me speaking about in previous episodes, is somebody who I have learned from and been mentored by and developed a beautiful friendship with as well over the past seven years, Tiffany has so many really truly special gifts you know in the healing arts and also as a visionary With such an understanding of human consciousness and the evolution of human consciousness. And it has been really transformational in my life, the work that I've done with her. I can honestly say I would not be where I am today in my life and my work and my well-being if I hadn't have come across her and her work and her techniques. Not only that, but she's the most personable, friendly, compassionate person that I've you know had the honour to work alongside and to learn from. I'm so excited for you to get to hear from her And yeah, it was my honour to have her on. I'll do a little reading of her bio here so you can hear a little bit more about her before we get started. Tiffany is an international teacher, successful entrepreneur, author, and mentor. She offers a variety of innovative and heart-centered works in services to personal and collective empowerment. She illuminates emergent principles within science and nature so that we can consciously create the next stage in culture together. As a scientist and Chinese medicine healthcare provider by training, Tiffany formerly owned and operated a holistic medical practice for 20 years outside of Seattle. She's creator of Rome Point Therapy and now runs an international online academy for healers, visionaries, and soulful entrepreneurs. So Tiffany's current offerings that we speak about a little bit in the call are Windows of the Sky, the Lumina Guild. And I'll put links below where you can find Tiffany if you want to hear more about her work. Enjoy. Okay, we are back again. And I'm here with Tiffany Carroll this week. And Tiffany and I know each other for gosh, six heading for seven years now, with me being in containers and different interactions and things over the years. And I'm so delighted to have you here today, Tiffany. So thank you so much for coming to chat with us. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Thank you for asking me, Claire. It's an honor to be I love the way you just said my name. Tiffany. It sounded Claire Day: Okay. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: it sounded like angel whispers. Thank you, thank you. I'm really happy you're doing this and thankful Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: to anyone th who's listening now. Claire Day: Yeah. It's been it's been really lovely. and the feedback so far from people who've come on is how they can see how valuable it could be for somebody else to listen to how different people have navigated things and what's been helpful to them and and just the natural kind of of changes and crossroads and things that we go through in our lives. And you've had lots of that in your life, in your professional life, in your personal life. Is there something that sprung to mind when I first mentioned the theme of thresholds and crossroads that came to mind as something that you had passed through or jumped out at you? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Well, I certainly have felt like these last two to three years so right now it's September twenty twenty six, last two to three years. I I felt like it's been one sort of initiat initiatory doorway into the next, into the next, into the next And I definitely feel like I've crossed through something of significance that feels like a a kind of themed bundle of thresholds. Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: So what comes to mind is that that it's been a time of thresholds. And I don't and I know that I'm not alone in that. I I talk to so many who have experience. They might use different words for describing it. They might say, I've had a heck of a time or boy, this has been intense few years. But and and particularly for women that are middle aged to so from like forty three to around fifty five, fifty six. So covering that middle age from an astrolog astrological perspective, it's the Middle aged I'm not an astrologer, but it's what I've learned through all of this, the Uranus opposition time of middle age, all the way through the Chiron return of like fifty two, fifty-three, I'm fifty one now. So, the other thing that comes to mind is well, did you want a specific story? Do you want to go f a Claire Day: How far? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: philosophical direction or a storied direction? Claire Day: Whatever comes to you I am open to and we will play with the themes that come up, yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Okay, let's see what which because there's been this bundle, I mean of course there's the the threshold of becoming a mother, which happened at forty-eight. and then going right into my menopause all the time, just Claire Day: Right. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: a little while after, you know, I she was breastfeeding, so I it sort of held off and then when I stopped breastfeeding, it it started more actively. So there was the hormonal changes, the changes in life orientation, all of the You know, you've known me a while, so you've known that I've done a lot of work on myself and that my my zone and my focus is transformation. And I had a realized in my daily living a pretty high degree of mastery in I don't know. For lack of a better fra word, let's say manifestation. We'll leave it at that. But then having a child was like Why I tapped into some main main lines. I tapped into some veins of energies that I th I I wouldn't have I wouldn't have thought that I ever had to revisit based on my life up until that point. And I think that it's part of what happens when you become a mother. I mean, at least from me talking to mother. I mean, for example, guilt, like all of the sudden experiencing this guilt as like a coming around f quite frequently going, What is happening here? And you know, it's it's a very real energy phenomena that has to be tended to. And I think because I w am an older mother and because I had was more a c sort of practiced in manifestation to be to to lapse into guilt felt so bad as opposed to if I had had a kid in my probably, you know, even up t into my early forties. Mm yeah, late thirties, early forties, I don't think it would have felt as terrible Claire Day: Mm. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: as tapping into it later in life. so There's another thing that I wanna share around thresholds, but I I wanna pause there and see if there's something you wanna add or ask. Claire Day: Well, I was just gonna say, I mean, I think no matter what age, motherhood is always going to be this huge threshold from well, f I certainly I experienced it that way. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: That's true. Yeah. Claire Day: but definitely when you go through more of your life and you have your patterns and your habits and all of your things, the longer you go through, there has to be even a bigger shift into life with this little being. That everything is about them. Do Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: hell. Claire Day: you know from their perspective and from your perspective? And yeah, there's nothing I don't feel for me anyway as big to make you reassess how you were as a child, your interactions with your mother, that relationship Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Claire Day: growing up, and to bring up more about all of that. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Exactly. Well said. I love that you said that 'cause it's that's w wisdom that it's yeah, it's ch it's a portal no matter what age you are, and it's gonna bring up stuff very unique to each person and unique to the time that they're in and and I think that there's probably if if we if one was to examine it from like pros and co I don't know pros and cons, like advantages, disadvantages perspective. It just they're just different depending on w which decade you're in, perhaps. I definitely think that she came at the perfect time. And I was just recording an audio this morning about like a little personal podcast about the relationship between creative emergence and untangling our blocks or our sticky parts to receiving. And was telling the story about Kiara coming and how I had wanted to have a child for so long and how it didn't happen and I had all of these miscarriages and I felt really you know, quite frankly, I felt sort of betrayed by the universe that I wanted something so badly for so long and it wasn't happening. And it really pinged fundamentally, like on a pre thought level, that I must be doing something wrong. I must be getting something wrong or else I would get this thing that I really, really want. And that's actually the other threshold piece that I wanted to speak about that's been enormous in this last three years. And it it's like the universe just delivered this perfect set of unfolding circumstances, including having a child and everything that it brought up, and some things r things related to money, things related to other i interpersonal relationships, but each of them were sort of a facet of s of something I don't know what to call it. Facet of facets of what was being offered to me around d disembedding or untangling me on all levels of my being from the orientation principle. Of something being wrong. And it just came in all of these different and I I realise that might sound a little esoteric, so I'll give just some examples to ground it. It's like I w think of myself as an open minded person who enjoys to presence with other people's perspectives. I had an experience with somebody who had entered into one of my c small group containers where she was very unhappy with me. And first of all, just to feel the feelings of somebody being unhappy with you and disappointed with you, that's probably one of the hardest things for me to feel. That's that part wasn't the surprise. The part that surprised me, connected to what I'm talking about, is that I had no idea how much I needed To feel that I was understood or that I was able to understand another, even if it was if even it was understanding like their pathology or what was psychologically amiss with them. But that I needed to either be understood or understand in order to feel safe in my nervous system. And Claire Day: Mm. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: that was just like shredded. Just shredded with tiger claws, just like we're gonna rip this apart. There will be nothing left. And and it was protracted, you know, it was like this long process Claire Day: Yes. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: that just took it all down. And in the end coming through where I I just I saw it for what it was, like wow. that. And and when I you know, I had already been sort of dismantled and there was a a tremendous amount more f sort of space and freedom that was coming into my experience because of that dismantling. But when I really saw it, you know, it's like when you get that final it's not just a mental understanding. It's a whole like click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click. When I got it, I was free. Like I will I c I'm not gonna say that I won't ever be affected by somebody being unhappy or with me or disappointed or or that I will never not want to be understood or understand another, but I will never be controlled by it or give away my power to it without knowing it in the way that I was doing before. I just simply did not know and I didn't I didn't realize the ramifications of that kind of orientation. And the thing is, that's how we're programmed. Do you know that? We are programmed to orient by right or wrong, good or bad, black or white, you know, it fill in the blank, these these polar opposites, and we and and our nervous system is taught to find its safety and some kind of certainty within an unproductive polarity. So I'm right, you're wrong, therefore I feel secure. You see what I mean? That's how Claire Day: Mm. Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: we're conditioned from the very beginning. And and so, you know, thank I'm very grateful to the universe for dismantling me in this way. It's preparing me for what's next and I know that now. But it was a deeply uncomfortable couple of years and that was just one part of of how this was deconstructed in me. It came from sm multiple angles. Claire Day: And when you had had gone there and recognized that energy in yourself, were you able to reflect back over the years and see other times when you maybe didn't pick up on it, but it had been affecting how you were interacting or reacting? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yeah, I mean I I saw how I built my whole career on this really. I mean, you know, I I chose I I c saw it all the way back to family of origin. in family of origin, the way that I learned to be safe was to sort of underst understand people, predict what they might do and then sh take care of things. And then I went into medicine and I built that career on diagnosing people, you know, th built into that landscape as If you get the diagnosis correctly, then you can really help them. And if they're not getting better, at least in the lineage that I studied, if they're not getting better, you must be missing something. Which that's rigged as well. It it it's like it's such a two dimensional way to look at it. But so so yeah, I was able to look back and see how th the the through line was to see how I was not fully able to stand in my you know, we talk about standing in our power, like what does that even mean, you know? But to s stand in my full sovereignty at a nervous system level, sort of echoed out into all the layers of my being, in in a relational space with someone else. I was not able to do that. And I won't say never, that's that because that's probably not true, but definitely under a whole basket of certain circumstances I was not able to. I would Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: shift off, go into that default mode of needing to understand or and how much energy I spent over the course of my life trying to figure people out in order to feel safe around them. Claire Day: Isn't that really it really shines a light on that fundamental system around beliefs that are inherent from childhood for safety, for being accepted, for being fed and kept warm and safe, and then that carrying on through life, you know, these beliefs that you need to understand and you need to make sure that you're positioned in a way that you're going to be okay. And that huge impact that has going forward. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: It's true and I'm also finding and I think it's y I think it's r I think it's pretty unique to these times. I think I'm in I have that hypothesis on the table right now and that what I'm about to say will help it make sense is that the way that you and I were both mm trained or oriented was like look back and f sort of figure out where things went wrong and t tend to your trauma and understand your family of origin dynamics in order to be free now. And certainly there is that's foundational work. Like there's a certain amount of that that has to be done, I think to have a healthy ego structure, to feel safe and secure inside yourself, to be able to connect with your inner child. But then past a certain w when you have enough of that foundation. then what happens is like we if we want to, we can actually see what what's in the way or what's getting tangled up in any moment that we really want to, if we are choosing to live in an emergent way. And then what ha this is what I find is like if I'm getting busy w something wants to move through me, I decide to create it, to bring it forth. me just slow down for a moment and be because this is really cool, but it's gonna launch us into a little different zone. think first of what I want to say in response to what you said is that We all have our shit from the past and I know I know that no matter how much shit you or anyone has from their past, we are capable of the most amazing, exquisite things and that change real change can happen faster than we can imagine, even though plenty of things take plenty of time. But that things can happen so fast and shift so fast, particularly in these times, for real. And not because I not because I think they need to happen fast, but because that's what I'm witnessing and seeing. That's really what I wanted to lay down here. Claire Day: What has been springing into my mind as we're talking about this is one of my favourite parts of using oils in the manner that I learned from you is that you don't need to dig into all of that stuff in the past to be able to recognise there's an energy there and to have a way to shift it through and to change it. It's it's like you say, you don't have to be digging into and digging everything up to be able to move on and to change and to to progress. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Mhm. Yeah. I and I I find that I really wanna feel for the edge of what's true for me now is I well w wherever we put our attention, that's what grows. Our human attention, human awareness is very much, it's like a glow grow light, you know, you you direct it at something and that whatever you're directing it at is gonna flower. And so if you direct it at the painful past, you're gonna experience more pain. It's the nature of it. And there is a time and a place for doing that. But the actual change that you're desiring, you know, th that the pain has caused you to want, is not going to actually come from continuing to focus on the pain from the past. You'll have to shift your focus to something else. And I I mean to put it simply, you'll have to shift your focus to what you do want instead of what you don't want. And that's that's that's an act of spiritual warriorship. To shift your focus in that way with your will on what you do want, born honoring you, you know, you're it's born out of the pain of what you didn't want. And then you focus it here because it can be so compelling, and I find myself do it with my daughter all the time. It can be so compelling to go into the just what happened yesterday that we didn't like. Like it's this weird way that we bond, you know. I can say, remember you fell down and hurt your knee yesterday, and she's like, Yeah. It's not even hurting her anymore. And I just start talking about it and then she starts crying. And I think, Why? But there's Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: some kind of bonding in it, but I've been practicing. like what would it be like then if I shifted what you know, I'm just playing with that personally right now. Claire Day: it it to some people it can sound a bit like woo to go you just turn your attention to something that's more positive but there's scientific backing behind that like the way our brain functions we have this reticular something system where you literally your brain will look for things to remind you of the things that you want to focus on and it does that because you can't possibly take in all of the stimulation from around you. So we have systems within our brains to ensure that we're focused on what we actually need to be focused on. So it's not just a glossing over things to go just ignore that and focus here. Like we do need to make that pivot and that shift to be able to change. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Right. I'm glad you said that. That's a really grounded principle. And I've thought about this a lot, because I certainly have experienced in myself what some people might call spiritual bypassing where I, you know, want to slap a happy face on something and not knowing that I was doing it, like literally not knowing that I was doing it. But the the thing is the body doesn't lie. So and we in Chinese medicine we would say the pulses don't lie. There's two two little subtle elements to this that I wanna put in that'll build out that piece that you're talking about. you we can't really fake it. Like you if I'm feeling a lot of fear, if I'm feeling fear or anxiety, I can I c I can like put on a happy face and tell you that I'm doing all right and all of that. But It can be felt. And even if the person that that you're with isn't energetically sensitive, it still can be felt. It's a vib it's a vibrational thing. It can can be felt. And So it's actually it makes much more sense to just acknowledge where you are, which I think is part of why you wanted to create this podcast, is so that people hear real people's stories, not just the you know, not just the polished here I am a success looking so beautiful thing, but like what they what you actually went through. Was that every every overnight success was ten years in the making? I like that quote. So it's far better t to actually acknowledge, and this is why I love body-based work, like I feel blah blah blah. I feel a little wiggly in my belly, I feel a little uneasy. and then once you name that it diffuses it, and then from there you can say, okay, well how would I like to feel? So say I'm was feeling I'll just give you a real world example. to you I mean we'd been having a beautiful string of lovely days here, kind of feeling like every day is a vacation actually for a little while. Not without stuff coming up, but that's been really I've I'm like, wow, this is quite a life that we are doing here. And then we just found out I I had this niggle to check to see what's going on with our visas for Sri Lanka. Because we had gotten a visa extension. And I went on to the website and it says that our visas have expired and that we need to go into the immigration office immediately. Meanwhile, my head immediately is like, shit, because they charge this huge fee. It's ridiculous Claire Day: Maybe. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: for each one of us if you overstay. But we didn't overstay because we got our visas extended. So something that happened Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: at the visa office, they didn't extend them. And immediately my whole like, you know, my panic button is Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: my my well being button is actually like like that in my nervous system because I haven't been practicing pushing that for all that long in comparison to the time that I've been practicing pushing the panic button. Like that's how I grew up and I practice that a lot. So all of a sudden my panic button's like and I'm angry at Rory 'cause he didn't look at our passports before we left the immigration office when I said, Are you sure they stamped those? And he says, Yes. So I wanted to blame him. You know, he wants to blame Sri Lanka. Chiara's acting out. The whole thing's happening, right? So if I were to just say, Tiffany, focus on Y if you if you don't if you don't stop this, you're gonna manifest a bad result or whatever. Like, focus on being happy, focus on calm and ease. It would not work. It would not work. But I can say, okay, what do I need to do right now to feel better? I have a cup of tea. Just calm down a little bit and assess the situation. Maybe write some things down. Okay. Okay, now that we're calm, write some things down. And then by the time and it took, you know, whatever through a through a night, then this morning I could wake up and go, how would I like to feel through this experience? I don't have control over what's gonna happen. I have all of this back experience with Sri Lanka having r like ridiculous red tape and being a mess. So that's Claire Day: Mm-hmm. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: all in my field. How would I like to feel? And then I just just landed on like I'd like to feel like I know exactly the next step to take. That I can take my time, that I don't have to rush. So that's what that's that's focusing my attention Claire Day: Mm. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: in a way and in a time frame that is actually doable. I'm not just saying I'm focusing on something happy or peaceful when I Claire Day: Mm-hmm. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: can't actually back that up with my body. See what I mean? Claire Day: completely. And I think it's really important to see. And I think part of what I've learnt along the way from being mentored by you and being in your containers is you know, it's not that the stuff doesn't happen. It's our like adjustment to the way that we process and react to it and respond to it. And what do we do? And recognizing when you're going into a spiral quicker than you would have done maybe a few years beforehand. And taking those Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yeah. Claire Day: steps to go, okay, what do I need right now to feel safe and to feel calm and Yeah, and it's really important for that to be modelled for us to see. Well, it's no, it's not that we always have our shit together. Like sometimes we go but it's where do you go from there? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Really well said. I love this other piece that you just wove in sort of subtly, but I wanna pull it out, which is that it's the It's both a choice and a capacity. So it's a choice that when you practice it, it grows a capacity. And it's the choice to focus on the process rather than just the immediate experience. you know, as soon as you're able. So to to focus on the if you're focusing on the process you go, well, five years ago I would have reacted like this and done this. And now I reacted like this, but this is how fast it shifted. And this is how quickly I z zipped my lip before tearing into Rory. You know what I mean? Like that's progress and that progress is worth celebrating. And then when you acknowledge it and you celebrate it, then that capacity gets bigger and You know, it's that's just it's a tr that's a treasure. Nobody can give that to you. You have to that's the true earning that we do in this life. It's a it's an earning between you and you. It's not an earning to prove something to someone else. Claire Day: Yeah. I found it so interesting over the years and noticing my own development in in and and you feel like a little reward as well of going, okay, I reacted what that way, but I caught myself, I realized that that was what was going on. This is the the energy that's been stirred up in me. And now how do I want to progress? And I mentioned that you have been a mentor to me over the years, but is there mentors to you? Who has been your guiding light in different times as you've been navigating. 'Cause you've had huge changes in your business and and and life as you've moved through. Has there been different mentors in different stages of your life? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yeah. I love that question. Certainly I've had some the most amazing I I I basically whatever I was really into at the time, I would seek out the people that were doing that at the top of their game, whatever it was. and when I and I'll I'll qualify that a little bit. It it it doesn't quite capture w how it f unfolded for me, but for example, when I was studying Chinese medicine and I was still in school, I was also really drawn to the evolution of consciousness and one of in this man Lonnie Jarrett who is an is an amazing Chinese medicine practitioner and teacher. I think he's soon to retire, but he he wrote this book called Nourishing Destiny, which I read when I was in school and it was a g it was one of those like game changers, you know. I think it kind of kept me in school because I was studying T C which is sort of Chinese medicine with the guts, the soul sucked out of it, and his book was so full of soul And so he came to this the university where I was studying and it was a talk called The Chinese Medicine and the Evolution of Consciousness. And I said, Well I have to be there and he talked about having in that talk he he said that he had a mentorship. It was I think two or three years long. And I had no idea how I was gonna do that. It was back east I was on the west coast and of the United States and it was gonna cost X amount and I didn't have access to that kind of money. Anyway I said yes to that and that's what radically I think that's why I was so successful in my practice so fast. So There was Slonnie Jarrett. I had many Chinese medicine mentors during that time and then a lot of business different business mentors. Jean Houston was a mentor that really shifted the way I oriented around the evolution of human consciousness. She brought a very matriarchal lens to it. She recently passed. And Ken Wilbur, Andrew Cohen, these are all people that I studied fire spiral dynamics with. And Laurie Duchar, who is she's collaborating with me right now. This is a great honor to collaborate with somebody that s has really been a mentor to me through her book that she wrote called The Five Spirits. That was another book that I read, I think shortly after s school that changed the way I practiced. And she's in her seventies. Clarissa Estes, who I mentored with for five years, and Jill Peirce, who I mentored with for several years around the ancestral work that I that I learned through her and family constellation. So yeah, lots of layers of amazing mentors. Claire Day: I've loved listening to Larry on the introductory call and their your little recordings with her. she's she's just fabulous. I I can't wait to hear more between the two of you and the energy between the two of you is just beautiful as well. There's such respect and sparking off each other with you know, like, yes, this lights me up. And you know, it it just yeah, it's really exciting now to see what comes forth. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: I wanna mention something about that that know, normally through my whole life it's like I'll have mentors in there and in some cases yes I put them on a pedestal and in other cases it wasn't even that I put on a pedestal but I I was sort of looking at them upon high because with Clarissa Estes, for example, in the mentorship there was a hundred people and it was rare to actually be spending any kind of one on one time with her. And with Lori, it's like here we are having these dialogues getting ready to enter into transmissions emergent transmission style facilitation together, at least for part of it. And that I could not have done that without let's bring it full circle now. This might be the coming beautifully into summary is I could not be doing that if I didn't go through everything that I just went through in this three years or so of of multiple thresholds and all of the really significant challenges challenges, challenging times, you know, it hasn't it definitely has not been an easy time. I'm I'm like looking forward to smoother roads ahead. And I know that from the from the rest of my life that whenever I've had periods of of a lot of challenge, there are smoother roads ahead. And I wanna say that to anyone listening. Like if, you know rough roads aren't forever and they're always setting us up for smoother roads ahead. Like our anything even that we experience as failure or hard challenges is always setting us up for the most exquisite success in the future. So this this being able to be with Lori and Be completely in myself, not shifting even a little because I want her to like me, which I do, or agree with me, or and I recognize that that's a capacity in me, but it's being met by a capacity in her as an elder to actually model healthy eldership woman to woman. There is no competition. There's none of it's not even subtly there at all. And I just I have the most incredible trust that even as like I say something and then she says something, and when she says something that actually brings in a subtle refinement because she has more there's more wisdom that's present. But in certain areas she does, and when sh when it flows out of her There's just this instant refinement that happens in the h in the room, in the field, in the space. And and then I there's nothing that comes up in me that there's like something I need to protect or defend, or did I Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: look bad, or all of these things that we know so well, especially between women. It's just extraordinary. Claire Day: Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Every interaction she and I have had, I don't usually sleep that night in a way that is the same kind of experience that I have when I go on spiritual retreat. Where it's like I'm being worked on. There's something that's being worked through and integrated in the in the lucid space while I'm laying there. Claire Day: Yeah. Yeah. And that comes across listening to the two of you together. Yeah. Very much so. Yeah. Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: So cool. I don't when pe by the time people hear this podcast, what month will it be? 'Cause I'm thinking we should invite them or Claire Day: Yeah, absolutely. It will probably be towards the tar start of October. Yeah. Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Okay, so there'll still be time for anybody that's listening. If if you're interested you can look up Windows of the Sky, Tiffany Carroll and it will come up or maybe you can share a link and Claire Day: Yeah, I'll put some links down below, I was gonna say, to where people can find you. what I did want to before we we go towards that is ask you and I I mean I know the answer pretty much, but for people who are listening and are like, you know, I've a lot going on, what are your go to tools for navigating change or for settling the nervous system? What do you use most? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Okay, two this is sort of a two part thing. One is that I find So just I just want people to keep in mind it's two parts. So stay with me if this a thing that I say first you're like, but what if I'm not doing that? Okay. So Having a pract having practice every day or almost every day where I get up before Rory and Chiara get up and I have time to myself. I meditate, I pray, you know, I feel I attune my energies in a lovely way that's just sort of naturally come to me over the years. And sometimes I journal, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I go right into writing or recording an audio like I did today. But I find that if I do that then I just it's a lot harder to throw me off balance. It's kind of like putting money in a savings account and then if something happens and you don't have money coming in you don't freak out as much because you you have money in a savings account. It's like that. But then when I'm in a moment and I am getting tossled. I I do my best now to feel it as early as I can possibly feel it. And that actually looks like just when I start feeling off. For a long time I did not know when I started to feel off. I would just know that I would start picking my nails or I'd want to rush through things. Like this. That was was my go to. So now I'll still do those. I might pick my nails or wanna rush through things. But There's usually a s a s yeah, something like that that I'll feel early on and then I just stop and slow down because for me I generally speed up when I'm starting to get off and then that leads to a whole cascade of more offness. And and then smelling an oil or putting an oil on a point. Generally if I go if I'm already gotten pretty far off, it's hard to remember to do that. So usually if I'm pretty far off, like Rory will remind me or I'll remind him. But if I'm just mildly off, then I can take an oil and put it on a point and shift everything. Claire Day: Amazing. Yeah. I I I often say that as well. You know, despite the years and the different techniques and everything, if you're gone into a tailspin, it can be hard to remember that you have all of these tools there. But the the more in the habit of using them just day-to-day that you are, you build up that level of of resiliency. And then also it it's easier to remember and go, hang on a second, I do actually have something I can use to help myself. Amazing. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yeah, I think that thing, that for to just know like you d there to just know that no one has n we do not have to suffer as much as we suffer. For sure. We definitely do not have to suffer as much as we suffer and there isn't there really isn't any reason to linger in r really bad feelings for a prolonged period of time simply because we do have tools and and the tools are accessible now to people, whether it's through doing breathing techniques. I mean it's on YouTube, you know, so much is free. You can learn about oils, you can learn about breathing techniques, you can listen to a guided meditation. There so to just know like you don't have to suffer for a prolonged period of time and there's tools. And then don't beat yourself up if you don't access the tools. For me, if I get really far off, I just lay down and go to sleep or close my eyes for I wanted to say that too. Claire Day: Yeah. That's something that I've started doing over the last six months that I never used to do before is just go for a nap. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Everything's different when you wake back up. Claire Day: Yeah. Yeah. It is. It's that shift. Where's your happy place? Where do you go to when you where do you feel most nourished? That might be hard because you travel a lot. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Lot, like on planet Earth or in my mind? Claire Day: planet Earth or Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Planet or Claire Day: you know, forests are my hoppy place. It doesn't have to be forests in Ireland, but is there an environment? Yeah. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: right. The I s the sea the sea is probably my happy place. Yeah. Definitely the sea or clothes shopping in a beautiful clothes shop. Claire Day: Draped in beautiful fabrics. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Mm-hmm. Claire Day: Yeah, amazing. And tell us for those who have we did l make a little bit of a nod to the Windows of the Sky. but you are also one of the founding members of the Lumina Guild, which is a beautiful community in space. So for those that have had their interest piqued or would like to learn more from you, where can they find you? Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yes, so I definitely will recommend or I definitely recommend Lumina Guild. And people can go to www.luminaguild.com and the Lumina Guild is a space and a place where we are practicing creative emergence. What I referenced earlier in real time together. So learning how to live and navigate and create at the edge of emergence and in and through that we're also re reshaping our shared understandings of value. So I would say for anybody that feels like they would like to be in closer proximity at a very accessible price point, join me and us. You're in the Lumina Guild as well, in the Lumina Guilds because it's cool and and there's not it's not about consuming content. There really is something that happens when you enter into the field that you'll already start to feel. And then you can tune into whatever content is nourishing for you. Claire Day: There's lots in there depending on what your interests are as well or where you want to put your focus to. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Mm. And then my YouTube channel, which I'd also like to recommend, Tiffany underscore Carol. And yeah, I'm I'm just starting to revamp my whole YouTube presence, so that's kind of exciting and starting to put out more content that's oriented around Lumina Guild type of things. And then there's my Master Creator Academy, which is where the windows of the sky is. Claire Day: And the Windows of the Sky is starting in October and it's a nine month journey with particular acupuncture points and oils for Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: That's right. Claire Day: Yeah. And and Laurie will be coming into some of those calls as well and sharing her wisdom. And yeah, I mean my my first big kind of container and introduction to learning about the oils and interacting with them this way was the Runpoint Mastery journey, which was also a nine month journey. And it was transformational in the changes that occurred over that nine months. and I went Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Really? Claire Day: into it not knowing why I was there or what what I was going to do or how I was going to use it. And yeah it was profound so I'm really excited to see where this Windows of the skies go. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Isn't it it's wild. It's like you get a group of people together and then you're all working with the same plant elders oils and the same points during the month with a particular theme. And in Windows of the Sky it's the mythic arc or understanding one's life as myth. And You just you can't explain it. You cannot explain it with words. I was just trying to explain it in an email this morning and I was really struggling to explain. I finally just said, I can't totally put words to this. so it it is it's like if the this is I think more the way things are going anyway, is trust I'm just offering this as words of wisdom, is tr trust where you feel called. Trust when you feel like you want to lean in to listen to someone or something. And when you hear about something, even if you don't totally understand what it is or how it's gonna work, but you feel called to it, trust the calling. So y trusting the calling is trusting yourself. Because the calling it the the anatomy of the calling is really it's like the desire that's desiring you and the pull of that Towards people, places and things that are gonna help that be fulfilled. That's the call, that's the anatomy of a calling. So yes, ask questions and do everything that you need to do to trust yourself. But if you're really feeling a call, like don't overthink it. Follow the call. Claire Day: Yeah, from the body, not the mind. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Yeah. Claire Day: Amazing. Yeah. That's definitely what led me into this path was just feeling that pull to not necessarily know why, but that this is the way I should be going. Yeah, tuning in more than that. Thank you so much, Tiffany. It was such a pleasure and an honour and I know Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Ditto. Claire Day: that lots of people have benefited from listening in. So thank you, thank you. Tiffany Carole ~ Lumina Guild: Thank you, thank you, thank you, Claire.
