M2: Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of Sisters Sisters. I am joined today by my sister, Mouselet1, and Mouselet A! Mouselet A: Hello? M1: Hello guys, Mouselet 2 and Mouselet A are going on a trip this week and so we were trying to decide, yeah, that is true. So we were trying to figure out like what should we talk about and I said let's talk some about souvenirs because for reasons that we'll sort of get into at the end of the episode, I was actually going to surprise Mouselet 2 and Mouselet A and go on this trip, okay? I can't anymore, we'll talk about it a little bit more at the end but I was in Target today and I was sad, know, I'm sad that I'm not going on this trip and I saw some Disney cutiecuffs and I said, M2: When you're listening to this, we're on our trip. M1: I think I'll be buying some cutie cuffs to make myself feel better. M2: Here's the thing, here's the thing. 99 % of free advertising for QDCuff, not sponsored, but we would be if you wanted to. ⁓ No one knows what a QDCuff is. M1: Okay. Okay, a cutie cuff is like one of those old snap bracelets, but it has a character on it. And so you can like attach the character to like a bag. Yes. M2: We have stitch ones at our house. Make sure you don't crinkle those things into that microphone. You gotta mute yourself. Okay. Mouselet A: We have a Stitch one. We love Stitch. M1: No, I already unwrapped them, but I did keep one label just to show you. This is the one I got. It's just like a generic Disney one. And the cutie cuffs that are on the label, there are Lightning McQueen Rex chip, as in like the teacup, Buzz Lightyear Pluto Piglet, but there are more than that. There's 12 different ones. So I have four boxes and we're gonna really quickly unbox them. This one I thought was Pluto. ⁓ they're all for me, because I'm sad. M2: Is it one for each or are all for you? Mouselet A: What made you pick cutie cuffs? What? Just they're fun? M2: She saw him and she loves him. M1: I was in Target, I was in Target, I saw them. They had Disney ones and I said, ⁓ I like the characters they're showing there. Originally, Mouse C actually pointed them out to me and he pointed me out Lion King ones, but those were not inspiring me as much. Okay, first one. Okay, I was right. Okay, wait, this is Pluto. I was correct, I thought this was Pluto. There's little holes in the box, you can see. What are your thoughts? Mouselet A: Hmm, that'd be good for animal kingdom. M2: I'm sort of into those. Cute. Mouselet A: That's cute. Thank you for the baby. M2: I'm in my Pluto era. Yeah, good for the baby. I'm in my Pluto era M1: I know you are in your Pluto era. Okay, number two, this one I thought was maybe Lightning McQueen. Let's see. Lightning McQueen, can't picture as a cutie cuff. Okay, it's Heihei the Hen from Mona. Mouselet, do you like him? Okay, this one I thought might be Chip as in the teacup. Okay, it is Chip. Again, okay, but. M2: I bet it's Chip. Hey, hey from Moana. Wow, we have some Moana news, so that's fitting. Mouselet A: No. M2: I think it's Letty McQueen. That's cute. Mouselet A: interesting. M1: Cause the cutie cuff goes this way, you know? So like, he would sort of be sideways. Design flaw, but he is cute. He's cute. Okay, and this last one is either Buzz Lightyear or Rex from Toy Story, I believe. Okay, I wish it was Tank. ⁓ this is cute. It's Rex. That's actually a really cute one. And good for Toy Story land. Okay, so anyways, now I have my cutie cuffs. This is kind of like what's making me feel better, cause I'm not going to Disney. I like these two. These. Mouselet A: ⁓ Design flaw. M2: is cute. I think it's tink. That's good, that's good for Toy Story Land. That's good. Mouselet A: I like that one. I like that. M2: I'm glad those are making you feel better. M1: These two are okay. Actually, they're not making me feel better. I'm still pretty upset about it. But I wanted to talk about souvenirs some and like our go-to souvenirs. So let's start with pins. M2: ⁓ Oh, yeah, we've started pin trading in 2003. We've talked about pins a lot on here. We always get a pin. was sick this year, Master one. like you weren't at Festival of the Arts and I felt like you wouldn't want a pin from a festival you weren't there. I thought it would just like, make. Jesus Christ. M1: I have wanted one. I would have wanted one, so I'll be prowling on whatnot to find one or something. Mouselet A: But you weren't there. M2: I just thought you wouldn't because okay well we always get a pin kind of our new thing with pins is that we'll get it to kind of commemorate like the resort we stayed at we always get one at the resort like I'll get a new Riviera one this year from our upcoming trip ⁓ we'll do the festivals we'll do like a seasonal holiday stuff and then if we see like a pin or two that we love we'll get those but mostly we're getting pins that are themed around things you know who's also a pin trader is Mouse Lodei is getting very into her pins Mouselet A: Well, I have this problem. I have pins from when I was a child, like 2002, and I had them on a lanyard. No, no. Oh, you're right. 2003. Yeah. I went in 2002 and 1998, but I don't think they had pins on. And but I am so sentimental and I feel so sad taking them off their lanyard. And then I have like all these new pins and I want them all in one place, but I like can't take them off my lanyard. So, uh. M2: ⁓ you're trying to beat us by a year? M1: but they would be so happy to be displayed with all of your new pins. Mouselet A: I know, they probably would, but, or would they be sad? I don't know. They might be sad. M1: I have this iconic memory to me, this is so random, but one of my favorite pin stores growing up was the hat at Hollywood Studios. They used to sell pins under the hat and I loved that pin stand. And I remember that I found a Lizzie McGuire pin there. It was like just literally the cartoon of Lizzie standing alone. And I was so excited to find it. I thought it was like so special and rare, which honestly now I'm sure it is, but it's. M2: for sure. Iconic. Honestly, I think it like was then too. She wasn't on air then. M1: Yeah, and I bought it at the pin stand under the hat and I remembered being like, this is my most like precious Disney possession. It was so special to me. M2: I also got that pen. What is everyone's favorite souvenir shop? M1: Yeah, you have that too. Ooh, well, growing up, it was 1 million percent the Emporium. Nothing was more special than the Emporium because the Emporium wasn't mobbed. M2: And now that's like now the Emporium is a big old. The Emporium is too busy. I mean, I love the creations. I think that I like that. That's an Epcot. M1: Me too, that's my favorite. Mouselet A: My favorite is the Hollywood Studios on... ⁓ What is that? ⁓ Sorry. What's the... When you first walk in. Yeah, Hollywood Boulevard. I think the pin one on the right. like honestly, even like the one that has the shirt, like the clothing more on the left. Like I like those two. M2: Hollywood Boulevard? Hollywood Boulevard. On the right, on the right. Shirt, shirt, beautiful shirt. M1: shirt, beautiful shirt, that's a Bousslet family reference. ⁓ M2: Mine is... M1: was gonna say, I like that Hollywood Boulevard one because it has a really good pin area. I feel like the biggest lacking thing about creations is their pin area is kinda like small. M2: I heard that weirdly. think mine is big top circus. The tent. I love that circuit something about it like I go in there and I feel like a kid. It like smells like Disney just like. I love it, which is why I have some news about that soon. M1: ⁓ you love Big Top Circus. Mouselet A: Yeah, I love the candy. M1: I do love to be in the Emporium early in the day when it's not super crowded yet. I just love that store. It's just always too crowded, which is not fun. M2: They've stripped away everything I've loved about that store. I like the one at Disneyland Paris and Disneyland. And you know what? You know what's underrated is the Animal Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom store. M1: I was gonna say that. I was gonna say that because the Animal Kingdom store has like all the regular merch but they also have things that you can only find at Animal Kingdom which the other parks don't have as much. M2: I think. Mouselet A: Last one, I also really like the ⁓ exit of space mountain or I love that one. That's my vibe. That's my vibe. M2: You love that store. Yeah, you love that store. That is your vibe. OK, wait, wrapping it up, a couple of other things for souvenirs that want to mention. I feel like the only other thing that we really like quote collect, I wouldn't even we collect them. We just buy them because we like them is ears. M1: ⁓ you love that story. Yeah, ears. I would say pins we actually collect in that we're like, ⁓ if there's like a rare pin, like I want to get it. Ears were not like, ⁓ I need to like complete my collection. It's just kind of like, ⁓ I like this pair. And therefore we have a lot of them because we typically are like, these would look so good with an outfit. Like we have to get them. Recently we were like, we don't have any purple ears. We need to find some purple ears, which is true. Mouselet A: Mm. M2: No, actually, I said I said I'm going to get a pair of purple ears and you said purple potion because you know every single that's that was the name of them when they came out. ⁓ yes, I have. M1: Cause that was like... I think, ⁓ I was gonna say, I think the other thing that we buy now that they really didn't use to sell so much is like other little accessories such as my cutie cuffs, but like the ones that they have at Disney. Yeah, like new weemos when they had those, the mini mix, it's like things that kind of can accessorize. M2: Yeah, like keychains, like little like trinket things. I would agree. Mini mix sets. Why does everyone think about mini mix sets? That was what I hate. Mini mix sets. Mouselet A: BOOOOM M1: Okay, if you don't know what a mini mix it is, it's kind of like supposed to be their next version of a Naweemo. People might not even know what a Naweemo is. A Naweemo was like a little Disney plush basically that had different outfits and people would wear them like on their bags. M2: but then they discontinued the different outfits and then just sold these like small sized little like plushes. They didn't even sell the outfits anymore. And then they discontinued them. M1: and they didn't actually attach to your bag. People would like use a hair tie to attach them. So then they created mini mix-its, which do attach to your bag and they're, yeah, their heads are, their head is huge and it makes them tip. And they also randomly each have like a hat on. And the hats are really random, I will say. M2: Mini Mounds bars! Mouselet A: But they're too big. They're awkwardly big. M2: Their head is so heavy that they tip down. Mouselet A: They're so random. M2: It's like Mickey has like a like a tiki room bird hat and then like Donald has like a space hat or yeah, like Stitch has like a heart like they're Yeah, like they're random They're okay We we we were suckers We're suckers and then we attach them to the person layer heads with tip, okay I have to get in some snooze because I have something that I'm dying to say so Mouselet A: Like, or like a big heart. M1: A heart. ⁓ Mouselet A: big heart. M1: get what they were going for, they're okay, but. Mouselet A: And you bought them all up. M2: I just have to jump into this. We'll do the big news at the end. No, I'm devastated. Big Top Souvenirs is gonna, is closed up until like fall. I know, me and my son, they love to go in there. Like I love to get the sweet, like I don't know, it's fun. Yeah, I'm sad. M1: You're antsy, you're so excited. Mouselet A: Aww. Sad. I love going in there. Yeah. I'm sad. Right now it's closed? M1: ⁓ Okay. Guys, I need you to know, Miles LeTo needed to share this news so badly. We had like multiple more bullets that we were gonna maybe talk about in that souvenir talk. And she just said, blowing right by those, I need to discuss the fact that Big Top is gonna be closed. M2: Nah. Storytelling you know you know I'm upset. I'm sad Mouselet A: Me too. M1: All right. M2: All right. Well a couple other pieces of Walt Disney World news I'll do this next one because it's more relevant to me Darth Vader his meet-and-greet has moved again He was in the launch bay Then he moved to the star tours like the queue but like the extended part of the queue that's never opened and now he's out in the blazing Sun by where the Jedi training Academy used to be and What I would say to them is I would just say to do the Jedi training Academy bring it back But you know who should be teaching it? Not Darth Vader because Darth Vader, well he didn't teach it, I guess he fought it. Anakin should be there and teach it. Mouselet A: Love me some mannequin. But they won't. M2: Yeah, thoughts? M1: Yeah, Maslow too. You love Anakin. We have a beautiful photo of you with him. M2: Sick, Okay, other piece of news. Everyone, do you wanna do the next one? M1: So they officially finished repainting, I think at least, the rock and roller coaster car that hangs upside down at the entrance. They kept the car exactly as it was, it's still silver, but they just kind of added like funky, like red, orange, yellow detailing and stuff. It's okay. M2: reminds me of something Mrs. our elementary school art teacher would have done. M1: Wow, okay, that's... M2: It looks like the paint's all gonna peel. I don't know. M1: Honestly for me the part that works the least is the fact that they kept the base of the car silver. I wish that they had changed that. M2: Okay, I'm sorry, I was gonna ignore it, but that car is blue, not silver. M1: I'm looking at the photo that you have in our document and it's I'm looking at the body of the car. M2: Are you looking at the windshield or are you looking at the body of the car? Mouselet A: It's like a very grayish blue. It's a very dull, very, very dull blue. ⁓ it's close. M2: It's not silver for sure. If anything, it's gray. Yeah, it's not silver. M1: My eyes are seeing a Metallica car silver. M2: Wait, what's that sound that goes like my my dollar? I think I was thinking of that Okay, it's officially repainted. I think again it speaks to the fact that the riots gonna be very similar to rockin which I'm fine with Other pieces of news a lot of progress with just like I I feel like I'm very closely tracking the like construction progress of piston peak I mean honestly even big thunder and monstropolis a lot of like little construction process M1: Yes. Mouselet A: Me too. M2: progress type things. They're building retaining walls and they're putting up fencing and stuff. Just exciting knowing that they are making active progress. We'll keep you updated if there's anything kind of like a real announcement, but I felt like it was worth noting. M1: And then the Wilderness Lodge boat dock is going to be closed from April 13th until July, which honestly is kind of a huge bummer for staying at Wilderness Lodge. You have to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and that is, yeah, that's like really kind of a big perk of that resort. So if you're staying there, keep in mind, yeah. Mouselet A: Hmm? M2: Yeah, like couldn't they wait to do the dock until they open up the resort next door and share the dot like M1: Yeah, we do have some news for like the other parks, but I just want to say that last week on Wednesday, so the night before our episode came out, they sort of announced some news that we therefore could not talk about. We'd already recorded, which is that. So I'm sure you already know. But Josh Demaro is now officially the CEO of the Walt Disney Company. He put out a note to cast members kind of talking about his like ethos for what was to come. I wouldn't say it was anything groundbreaking. M2: Melsaday, what does that mean? Mouselet A: No idea. M1: Do know what the word eat? ⁓ Guys, now today is not a good vocabulary, but ⁓ I wouldn't say it was anything like revolutionary in the note, but an interesting read if you would like to. And then the other thing that they randomly released on the same day, which I thought was, I don't know, an interesting choice, but they released the name of the new Disney Cruise Line ship. So this is going to be the third ship ⁓ in the class of the Wish, the Treasure, ⁓ sorry, the fourth. M2: That's for sure. Okay. M1: It's the wish, the treasure, the destiny, and now the fourth ship will be the believe. And it's going to be based on like, I forget what the exact little phrase was, but it's like they were showing little mermaid, Snow White and Kanto, like stuff like that. So I think it's a cute name for the ship. really like it. I'm really excited to see it. Mouselet A: Now do you know yet if that like you could take shorter cruises with that if it's only seven days is that known yet? M2: Yeah, I'm excited. No, not yet. M1: Rumor is that it may be replacing the wish at Port Canaveral, which would mean that it would be like shorter cruises out of Port Canaveral, but that's like rumor speculation only. M2: My ⁓ coworker today was like, I'm going on a cruise on the fantasy. Any tips? And I was like, I can give you general tips for Disney Cruise Line, but I've never been on the fantasy. And then I said, ⁓ I think my other coworker, you guys might be on the same ship. Turns out they're not me. He was like, I was like, ⁓ that might be weird. And he's like, why would that be weird? That wouldn't be weird. I think it'd be nice. And I was like, ⁓ I don't want to necessarily be on a cruise ship with someone I don't know super well from my office. Maybe, I think it'd be fine, but like. M1: Ha ⁓ love that. ⁓ All of your coworkers are quaking in their boots listening to this. They were hoping to plan a cruise with you. M2: Wait, do you know that my, one of my, one of like someone at my office, and I support them for this, suggested that we do a company outing at a water park. And I love that for them that they were confident enough to suggest it. Honestly, I think it could have been fun with the right group, but the thought of being at a water park with my entire office, I don't know. M1: Back in the day at my old job that I was at with Mouselet C, they did a ⁓ company outing to do a Pilates class on a reformer machine. ⁓ I did not attend, but Mouselet C did. Mouselet A: No thanks. M2: That's I mean a bunch of us girls from work like we're gonna do a workout class together like but Mouselet A: ⁓ my, get him on here to talk about that. ⁓ my. M1: Yeah. But a Pilates reformer machine? I don't know. Mouselet A: Sure, but... And again, with your coworkers, not necessarily like your friends from work, just like your general coworkers, I don't know. That's an interesting choice. M2: you Even like I was at the gym for a I was at like a work internal work thing, but I was In the Midwest and I was at the gym and there was like someone else from it was just the two of us in the gym I also wasn't listening to music. So it's just like oh god. It was brutal. I can't remember why I brought that up anyway other news Quick Disneyland Paris news that I just want to say the Lion King ride is in progress of being built at Disney's adventure world, which is Walt Disney Studios. They're renaming the park M1: We've gotten far off track. Other news. M2: That's kind of the last like land. I already said that instead of the beginning, that's the last land that's being built is not really a land. It's like an area. That's what they're literally calling it a Lion King area, but super exciting. It's going to be a flume ride, splash mountain style. M1: at Disneyland Paris. ⁓ Disneyland Resort had the Blueys Best Day Ever show open with a bunch of like associated food. The lines were insane on the first day. I assume that that was, again, Disneyland is like a locals park, so something new coming is very exciting. I would assume that that was like first day excitement and not going to continue. can only hope it's not going to continue because it's impossible to get in right now and that's a show for kids. Kids don't want to be waiting in like a bazillion hour line. But that debuted in... M2: Yeah. Hey, that shows for everyone. M1: Okay, true, true. So that opened Grizzly River Run, which is the water, water ride over there is reopening this week. And then Pirates of the Caribbean and the associated restaurant Blue Bayou is closing May 4 for like a refurbishment. Mouselet A: For how long? M2: Unknown. M1: Probably not too long though. Typically those are like not super long closures. M2: It's kind of a weird time though for them to close. Okay last piece of news is the Moana live-action trailer was released I watched half of it got a little bit bored quit through it. Not a not a live-action girl. I Was like oh, I've oh I've seen this before the cartoon version that just came out like not that long ago M1: ⁓ I watched like five seconds of it and got bored as we talk If you want our thoughts on live action movies, you should listen to the Sitting on the Ground Talking Patreon segment from last week where we did like a deep dive into our thoughts on Disney movies and live action movies in particular. M2: I do like the rock, like, but. Mouselet A: I'm just surprised too that Moana as a movie isn't that old and maybe they're just trying to capitalize off of it being successful, but it feels a little odd that they're making a live action already. M2: I agree if there could be one movie and I have a clear answer one movie that was turned into live-action that right now fine I have to Two movies that you would go and absolutely be like I would go to theaters There's two movies I can think of that if they did a live-action. I would go to the theater to see it the theta Mouselet A: including like Pixar or... M2: Yeah, including Pixar. Mouselet A: Well, I wish I had, I wanna think about this, cause like, now I wanna really think about this. M1: Are you good? M2: Thank you. M1: Are you gonna say like a bug's life or something? M2: No, lot. That would be terrible. That would be horrible. Mouselet A: That'd be awful. M1: Hahaha! Mouselet A: You M1: I'm like Monster Zink? that's Monster Zink. Because it would be funny. It would be so funny. M2: Monsters a live-action monsters ink that wouldn't even work no Okay, no yes, the Incredibles is one of mine. What's my other one? Yeah Princess and the frog I think it'd be amazing Mouselet A: What? Are you gonna say the Incredibles? M1: The Incredibles would be good. I agree. Mouselet A: Uhhhh ⁓ that would be like beautiful. M2: Yeah, obviously the frogs would be CGI. M1: Yeah, interesting. That's it. Well, that's my issue with all the animals, tons of animals in that movie. That's my issue with like Monsters Inc, for example, if they were to do a live action. Mouselet A: ⁓ yeah, that part and the alligator or whatever. Yeah. Live action. It's like. M2: Louis. A live action, what are they gonna use? Like the characters from the parks? That would, that doesn't make, they would never do a live action Monsters Inc. There's no people in it except Boo. M1: They did a live action Lion King. It's entirely CGI. It's CGI. Guys, guys, put an eyeball emoji in the chat if you want a live action Monsters Inc. OK. Look in the comments. Mouselet A: No, they probably would. Lion King, which is ridiculous. Yeah, which is so ridiculous. No, it's the same. M2: That feels that feels different it feels no no that's different Lion King Mouselet A: Pass. M2: What's the chat? Okay, was gonna say there's no chat. To be clear, Lion King was a cartoon movie, so putting it into that CGI made it 3D. Pixar already looks like 3D-ish. So, a mouse that I didn't even answer. Mouse that wants Monsters Inc, so. Mouselet A: Well, I just wanted to add off going off of the conversation you had last week. I loved the life Beauty and the Beast. I and like I think Emma Watson gets so much hate. I loved her. I thought she was great. Like I loved it. Actually, I didn't care whoever played the beast or the prince. Like I just didn't care about him. I loved Emma Watson. So I stan that movie. M2: I know you're a huge fan of it. I just watched a clip of the, cause we were talking about King Louie and I was trying to find videos of him for a whole thing, whatever. And I found the live action jungle book, which I was like news to me that they did that King, King Louie didn't hit. He just looked like a monkey. So made me appreciate it. Made me appreciate what we had. Okay. Do you have an answer? I'm on MA. Do you guys have an answer of what you would go to see in theaters? Mouselet A: ⁓ yeah. M1: ⁓ yeah, I forgot they did that. That's a point. That's a point. That's a point. Mouselet A: Yeah, true, that is a point. ⁓ Incredibles would be cool. Incredibles would be cool. ⁓ M1: Monsters Inc. Did you miss that? I agree, Incredibles Up, Up would be good. Thoughts? Up would be pretty. M2: Okay. Mouselet A: I haven't seen, I haven't seen up. I have not seen up. M2: Yeah, upper big. M1: Are you joking? That's one of my favorite movies! Mouselet A: Now I've never seen up. You know, cause when I was younger, I thought I can't handle that. Too sad. Okay. M2: What? You know what? She can't watch that. She can't handle it. Too sad. Parents, parents dying. All right. Okay, guys, it's time to get it. That was the news. Big news. Lots to chat about, but it's time to get into the main segment. Which is planning me and Mouselet A's Disney trip. It's Thursday. We're in Disney if you're listening to this. But here's what we booked. Here's what we're still debating and kind of just giving you the facts about our trip. And also Mouselet One doesn't even know all of this. So. M1: Fast forward through like the very beginning, okay. M2: I think the biggest, most different thing about this trip, we are doing a strategy with lightning lanes that we have never tried before. And in fact, we've almost like actively rallied against it. So we'll get to that in a minute. But, Mel Cede, do you wanna start kind of talking about some of the things that we were working around? Mouselet A: Well, we know that it's spring break time, so we're gonna have a lot of high crowds and we definitely ⁓ took that into consideration when we were planning out which days that we're going, which park days we're doing, like on a weekend versus a non-weekend. M1: didn't even think about the fact that it was spring break until Nalce Latou said that to me. And then recently I was looking at the Disney Vacation Club point charts for something. And I'm pretty sure that this week is, you know how there's Christmas week and that's like the highest, highest, highest points. This is the other one. This is the week that is the highest, highest, highest points. I'm pretty sure for 2026. So I'm curious how it is. M2: This is the second. Mouselet A: Oof. M2: But there's a couple, it's a lot of, a lot of March is super busy as well. Like March is busy for like college kids, April. it's, that's what you get in the spring. And actually with this trip, honestly, it's not really gonna be a problem, which we'll get to. But here's our quick sketch. So Thursday, we're working from home. So we're working from resort, WFR, working remote. And then we're doing Hollywood studios at nighttime and we're seeing Fantasmic. On Friday, we're going to Epcot. Mostly, you know, we are not doing Epcot on a weekend. It's gonna get even worse on a weekend. M1: Yeah. M2: Saturday we're doing Animal Kingdom, then park hopping to Magic Kingdom. Sunday we have no plan, and we'll get to that at the end. We have no plans there. So that's kind of the, that's the quick sketch. And the other exciting thing is that we are staying at the Riviera Resort. We stayed there once before. We stayed there in two, yeah, two years ago. stayed there in 2024 in a one bedroom. We're staying in a one bedroom again. Just me and Melsode, so we'll have the couch. Mouselet A: 2024. M2: Just a bed folded up, so it'll be nice. Lightning lanes. Well, I want to talk about lightning because I mentioned that we have like a totally different strategy because in the past we have said Magic Kingdom Hollywood Studios, if you're doing lightning lanes, do magic, do them at Hollywood. Don't do them at Epcot or Animal. we're doing that at Epcot and Animal. Mouselet A: Here's my take on why we did. To me, there are like two big reasons. ⁓ The main reason is because we are going to park hop that day and we are going to hop to ⁓ Magic Kingdom. ⁓ And, ⁓ M2: Whoever's snapping their cutie cuff, please stop. M1: Wait, what? ⁓ Hmm. M2: Like, Now should I continue? ⁓ Mouselet A: you So we are going to be park hopping that day. We are not going to be in Animal Kingdom for the whole day. And there are a couple of rides that I wanted to hit in Magic Kingdom that ⁓ made sense to have a lightning lane for. And then also, I really want to go on the Kali River Rapids, if I'm saying that right. And I'm worried because it's so hot. I was worried it was going be a really long wait. So like that's what I want to use a lightning lane for at Animal. But like, feel like those were kind of, I feel like the fact that we're park hopping is like the main reason why we decided to do it. M2: So we're doing at Animal Kingdom, what we ended up booking was Cali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, and Festival of the Lion King. You might think that's odd. Why am I going to Festival of the Lion King? I just saw it in May of last year. Like, my God. M1: Right, then before that you probably hadn't seen it for like three years because you never want to see it as evidenced by the fact, as evidenced by the fact that mouselet A has never seen it, which is why you are going. M2: I've seen it so many times. Mouselet A: Mm-hmm. M2: No, she has seen it, she just doesn't remember. Mouselet A: No, we maybe, maybe, maybe saw it in 2018, 2018, Laura, and I saw it as a child. That's it. have never, there is no chance that we've ever gone post 2018. And I just said, you know what? We've got the day to do whatever we want. Let's take our sweet time and animal. Let's go see it. M2: I think that. I genuinely believe I could play every single role in that show. I've seen it so many times. Mouselet A: I have no, you couldn't pay me million dollars to tell you what is gonna happen in that show. Well, I know it's a circle, right? That's it. And they get volunteers from the audience, I think. Right? Yeah. M2: What's it look like in there? What's the theta? Okay, great. So you do know about it. I think we have been, we'll see if we can squeeze it in. M1: Yeah, there you go. Yeah, yeah, kinda. M2: Like, yeah, ish. So we're doing, and we're gonna rope drop Everest. So just a rope drop, we're gonna do early entry. So fun fact, if you are staying on site and you get early entry to the park, which means you can enter the park 30 minutes before, you know, park opening, you cannot rope drop the safari at that time. So the safari opens up at regular park openings, like, you know, 30 minutes after you get there, which is kind of nice because you get to do a second rope drop. And so, yeah, we're starting with Everest. We might just run over to the safari after, honestly. ⁓ The really, the big thing we need is we're trying to park hop with lightning lanes. That's the one, something I don't know if we've really done that much before, honestly. M1: Now, and I was gonna say, I feel like when we have talked about lightning lanes in the past, we actually have never mentioned this, but it is good to know, like if you're going to Magic Kingdom in the second half of the day and you want lightning lanes there, you can just book for Magic Kingdom and reserve there if there are things that are incredibly important to you, but you also can book for your earlier park and then like go hop to Magic Kingdom and book lightning lanes there as well. And which is why it makes, one of the reasons why it makes sense for you to do lightning lanes at Animal Kingdom, because you're kind of double dipping in both parks. I don't think we've done that before at all. Wow, she's becoming a pro. M2: Mouselet A was actually the one who had the idea to do it. Mouselet A: did because I don't usually go to Disney with you guys when it's like definitely 100 % hot out. So I really want to prioritize Tiana's when we go to Magic. And then I said, oh my gosh, we should then get a lightning lane because I don't want to wait. I feel like that's going to be a long line. It's a Saturday. It's going to be hot. And that's how I thought of it. M2: We're doing two water rides that day. better slick my hair back or else I'm gonna look rank. You know, if you heard the State of the Union last week. So I'm actually gonna do, I have this like written in my content plan about doing a whole, basically a video about how to actually park hop with lightning lanes. I'll explain it just briefly for you in case you're kind of wondering. We booked Animal Kingdom. We have to book three for Animal Kingdom. We can't book two Animal Kingdom in one magic. That's not how it works. But once we get into the park and we scan our first lightning lane, M1: Yeah, you're gonna look. Mouselet A: It's gonna be toasty. It's gonna be toasty. M2: then we will be able to book Magic Kingdom. They've removed all of the crazy restrictions that you might be thinking about with Genie Plus and that stuff. we wanna have one of our lightning lanes be really early in the day. I'm gonna try to modify something so that happens. And that way we can get Tiana's because I do worry that Tiana's will sell out. And if it does, it's okay. We'll wait in line. M1: I think it will too. Mouselet too and I though are the queens of refreshing and snacking a time. So you might be able to at some point. And also doing Tiana's at night would be like kind of fun. We've not really done Tiana's at night. Yeah. M2: That's what I said. I actually would like to do Tiana's at night. ⁓ speaking of magic, we also did book Tron to do Tron at night. We bought an individual lightning lane kind of again, something we don't really do that much. I'm sort of in my Tron era. I'm like loving Tron again. Yeah. M1: I haven't done Tron in so long because I was pregnant, even, but right before that, I feel like we were kind of off Tron for a bit. We were like, ⁓ we can skip Tron this trip. M2: ⁓ my God, okay. When we did it in October, I think it was October. I remember being like, I have a whole new appreciation for this ride. I loved it. No, didn't go. No, we didn't go on it. I don't think it was. Yeah. Did we even see it? I can't remember. I definitely saw on social media. So we did Tron. We also booked an individual lightning lane for guardians. Honestly, I just feel like that's just like a must at this point, like. M1: Was that when it was the red overlay? Did you go on it during the Toronto Aries overlay? Mouselet A: think we did, November? November? M1: And we just saw it. Mouselet A: ⁓ hmm. I don't remember. M1: Anyways. M2: You couldn't pay me to wait in line for guardians. I just wouldn't do the ride so But then we also did do lightning lanes for Epcot why you might ask odd choice We always say to never do lightning lanes for Epcot Well one we want to see the new frozen because they swap the animatronic heads. I'm excited I think it'll be fun mouse today was trying to convince us to wait until we see it in Disneyland Paris I vetoed that that was a big that was a big no We're also doing soren because sorens changing soon mouse a one. What does it change? Do you know? Mouselet A: May 26th. M1: I'll see the old ones. So thank you. Thank you, Mel Cede. Mouselet A: You're welcome. You're welcome. M2: Great. We want to do Living at the Land and we want to do Test Track. So we have a bunch of stuff we want to do. Again, it's going to be so busy that like, it just made sense to do it. ⁓ Mouselet A: We also really want to prioritize the festival and we want to minimize our time waiting in lines. M2: Yes, and then the park that we're not gonna do any lightning lanes at is Hollywood Studios. So literally just being honest here, we would never buy lightning lane for a half day for a park. We're only going after work and for like nighttime, we have a dining reservation, which we'll talk about in a second. We're basically understanding that we will do no rides at Hollywood Studios other than Smuggler's Run Single Rider, maybe Tower. Mouselet A: And we'll just maybe tower. M1: Did you see that? Smuggly's Run now has a double rider. So you'll be able to do... Yeah, woo, it's special. M2: Yeah, you could you could both be the engineer. Mouselet A: But you know, we're just going to relax, sit on Sunset Boulevard, just take in the sights. It'll be great. M2: Yeah, maybe I would love to squeeze in tower if there was a way to, but. Mouselet A: I would love to do. Yeah. M1: Is the park, does the park close when Fantasmic starts? M2: I had that down to look up, but I didn't look it up. M1: Because after Phantasmag- you might be able to hop on tower with a little weight. M2: I gotta leave Phantasmac five minutes early to get on the Skyliner before everyone else. So I'll be in the back. I'll be back at the stadium watching it. M1: Crazy energy, crazy energy. M2: Okay, dining. Now someone, this is where I feel like you don't know as much about our dining and I really want your thoughts. Okay, what are we doing the first night? I'll say that. Mouselet A: We are just, so ⁓ we check in at the Riviera and we're just gonna do the quick service there, primo piatto. M1: Which is amazing. It's an amazing quick service. M2: We dabble, yeah, we dabbled with doing like, Topolino's are going to Epcot or even Sebastian's bistro, but we felt like it made sense just to do quick service and enjoy the resort. Thoughts? M1: mean, Prima Piazza was like one of the best quick services there is. It's really good and unique. like, yeah, I mean, if you don't have as much resort time, I did really like Sebastian's bistro, I will say. And the walk from Riviera over to where it is isn't very far, but table service is just always gonna take longer. So if you'd rather maximize resort time, like I think it makes sense. M2: Well, and it's like we landed from our flight. So I don't know. It's just like, we're to want to check in. So. M1: You're crusty, musty, and dusty from being on the plane. Yeah. M2: I wouldn't say that. The other thing we dabbled with at Riviera was we've never done Topolinos for dinner. We were like, ⁓ but you know what? It doesn't have the characters at dinner. It's just a restaurant. And I was like... Mouselet A: a good night's sleep. M1: And it's a very fine dining restaurant. Mouselet A: Mm-hmm. M2: And I was just like, I don't, I sometimes find dining is like too refined, know, too fancy, fancy dancy pancakes for me. So Primo Piat, is. Next up, Hollywood Studios, we are doing Primetime. Mel said he was a Primetime hater for a bit and she might not admit it, but you were. M1: Okay, next. Mouselet A: Yeah. Then I was a lover and then I was a little ⁓ about it again. M2: Yep. ⁓ Yeah, you know why she's such a mouse let's see loyalist Mouse today is like the biggest mouse let's see loyalist ever and mouse let's see didn't like it So she's like she kind of was like, I don't like it either M1: Where are you now? feel like now Mouselessy has turned a corner on it though. Mouselet A: think so maybe. M2: More than he did the first time, yeah. M1: Yeah. Mouselet A: The last time we went, I was disappointed with my meal and I was just like, okay, I need a break from here. And that was October of 24, because we were with Moussa L and M. Yeah, they hated it. M2: They also hated it, so that's another part of it. And the thing is, it's so funny about that, is that there's one vegetarian option. It's a smaller menu. There's one vegetarian option, Cousin Harold's Vegetable Garden, and it's great. I don't know, like, it's literally pasta with sauce and cooked vegetables. Like, I don't know why they had such an issue with it. Mouselet A: Well, let me take that back. I think, don't think they were any, I think like half the group was in the mood. Yeah, I think they weren't hungry. They weren't hungry. So I take that back. They just like weren't hungry. So they didn't really like get the experience. M2: They weren't hungry. They shared a soup. M1: Well, Mouselet too and I will defend Primeham to the death because this is where our family went every single year growing up. It is literally like one of the most iconic Mouselet's restaurants. And we have some heavy. M2: when I'm trying to roll the bit. M1: heavy mouse-let's lore from this, the very first time that we ever went, our server was named Aunt Elaine, we'll never forget her, and Aunt Elaine, and she was basically, there was like a table near us and the dad hadn't finished his food, and so she was like, uh-oh, we better do airplane, and so she was like literally like doing airplane to feed the guy his vegetables and stuff, and so then another table started, M2: Antolin. M1: the dad at that table was hiding his vegetables in his napkin and our dad ratted him out as we left. And our dad like, Papa Mouselet literally like loves that so much. M2: It was so funny. She was iconic. And again, it was our first time there. It was also when they were like a little more in character. The issue is, that people would go in there and not understand and get like, get like annoyed. That's like very like this day and age. Back in the day, Antelaine was so good. And every time we would go in after we'd be like, is Antelaine here? I don't think we ever saw her again. M1: She was iconic. Mouselet A: Yeah. M1: No, we never did, but she was iconic. And then we had one other iconic one, yeah. ⁓ I don't remember. Now Cousin Harold is in my head because of Cousin Harold's vegetable garden. M2: The other time, cousin, what was his name? I can't remember his name right now. Cousin Harold is also in my head. feel like he has a Harry, this guy, this cousin something. And we were with our, like our god mom was there and she kept asking for water. She was drinking so much water and he kept bringing her water. And finally he brought her an entire tray with like eight water glasses and he had a park map and he circled every single bathroom in Sharpie and gave it to her. It was so. M1: It was so, and the thing is, the experience there is so made by the server you get, and some of the servers just like are regular servers pretty much, and some of them now more rarely do lean into that character, and when they do, and when you are into it too. It's so, so, so much fun, and that's what made that restaurant so iconic for our family. M2: It was so funny. Mouselet A: It's funny. M2: Yeah, it was and then the other thing I was gonna say is I mean I was watching old stories I think 2018 stories 2018 lore and You used to be able to get milkshakes to go from the bar there. That was an iconic time now You can't but this is sort of like a milkshake a milkshake trip for us because we're going there I always get it actually this suck. I always get a vegan milkshake. They're way too big and mouse the egg It's a normal one. So it's like we really can't share Mouselet A: Yeah. I think I have to drink your vegan one this time. Like, I think it'll be such a waste. I might just share one with you. But then you can't get the peanut butter and jelly, but... M2: Here's the I get the peanut I can get a peanut butter and jelly Yeah, I always get it well what I was gonna say is like the one thing that I really can't Really can't have because I'm lactose intolerant if you like I don't know if I've mentioned that ⁓ To the people listening to this podcast I I like can't have ice cream ice cream is pretty much the only thing that makes me so sick Okay to my lactose intolerant friends out there. I went to the biggie this year and I learned Mouselet A: ⁓ my God, you can? Then we're sharing one. We're sharing one. M2: That Cabot Sharp Cheddar, Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese is lactose free. It's changed my life. We have like bags of it in the fridge at all times. M1: guys, number one, if you don't know what the big E is, it's like a big fair thing in the Northeast. That's like not a, that's like, most people are probably like, what did she just say? The big E? The big E is a fair in the Northeast. Yes. And I, I was at the Cabot Cheese booth and I heard the man tell someone else that it was lactose free. And I said, ⁓ Mousseline too. Did you know Cabot Cheese? This Cabot Cheese is lactose free. And now she's obsessed. M2: Ha! The Eastern States Exposition. Mouselet A: That's hilarious. M2: Literally Cabbagee's sponsor me because I tell everyone I literally just told our friend Ali from the dimes I said in case you didn't know M1: I told her that too. She's going lactose free and I said, ⁓ Cabot cheese, Cabot cheese. Mouselet A: all we eat now is cabbages. M2: So funny. Okay, running through the rest of dining. Epcot, nassade. Mouselet A: we are really focusing on festival food. I have a list of food that I want to eat. I earlier in the episode was trying to pull up some of my highlights. I have a bunch, but I'm going to share a couple. really M1: What do you think you'll actually eat because unfortunately some, ⁓ Is that Mouselet A, as I say, eats like a bird. She eats like one grain of rice and it's like, I'm full. I'm going to save it. And then our fridge is filled with all the Mouselet A's leftover foods that she never eats. M2: Yeah, weird leftover food. Okay. Yeah, I need to hear how many things are on this list because then we'll talk about why there's no world you'll Accomplish this so it's on the list Mouselet A: Well, I had a real list where it's like 11 different things, but like the couple of things I want to highlight. I want the avocado toast from brunch, brunch guy. want the French. I want the French toast. I want the I want the chicken and waffles, which I've gotten before. I think that's like the one thing I got in 2023 from the honey bistro. And then there are a couple of things from Japan. M1: Eleven! ⁓ M2: Okay. It's an avocado, thanks. M1: ⁓ that's new. Mouselet A: that I know I want, but then I ran out of time to like reference the rest, but like I had quite the list, so. M2: But here's the thing, you are the one that's insisting that we do a sit down dinner. I'm excited, I enjoy this sit down, I'm excited for it, it's gonna be fun, we're going to Chef de France, I've never been there, it's the like, less fancy restaurant in the France pavilion. But. M1: Guys, Mauselette, if you don't know, there's a very, very fancy restaurant in the France Pavilion called Montsire Paul. And when Mauselette, who was trying tell me where she was going, she's like, we're going to that one in France. It's like Montsire, I think you literally called it like Montsire France. And I said, yeah, and I was like, okay, she's combining Montsire Paul and Chefs de France. And I said, I certainly hope you're not going to Montsire Paul because that's like an unbelievably fancy experience that I actually don't think you'll like at all. But no, crisis averted. They're going to Chefs de France, which I did go to. M2: France. Voltaire chef or something weird. Well, it's just like, yeah. Mouselet A: Yeah, no. M1: on my spring break of my senior year of college with some of my friends. It's the only time I've ever been there. M2: which if you guys know the Photoshop lore, I have a picture of them where I Photoshopped a bunch of Jack Skellington hat onto one of their heads. Anyway. M1: And God knows why she did that, truly. M2: Most today. Why are we doing a sit-down meal if you want to do all this festival food? It is nice to have like a touch point. It's a down point Mouselet A: up. I just love, there are so many restaurants in Epcot. That one has been on my list. I made a mental note in January when we walked by it. I said, why have we never gone there? And I just think it was the perfect time. It was just you and me to make the decision. So it was like easier. And you know me, I love a sit down, a sit down meal in Epcot. I have a big San Angelin stand. I love, I love a sit down, I love a sit down restaurant. M2: Good job. M1: very curious to hear what you guys think of it. I don't remember it super well, but I do remember a lot of restaurants in Paris are like, this is so random, but they have like little tiles as the floor. The real Paris. Yeah, the real Paris. And so there are four chefs de France trying to emulate. They have like tile floors. All this to say, I remember it being very loud because it's like all tiled in there. It was very loud. And I had a very tiny filet, but this was also in 2016. So was 10 years ago. M2: and pair sorry the real pair are you talking the real Paris ⁓ Okay, you're speaking poorly of it. I hate loud restaurants, so I hope they have like a bamboo room or a back room that I can sit in. I'll tell them I have like a hearing. I have an issue. I do. I might have to get earplugs. I might have to get earplugs. Mouselet A: BWAH! M1: Not that I remember, but. Mouselet A: Nope, but you'll be okay. You'll be okay. You're gonna do it. And that's why like pressure's off. If we don't like it, we'll just go eat more festival food. Like I don't think the portion's super big. Like I think it's gonna be a perfect time to try it. M1: I'm curious to hear what you think. It'll be fun. M2: sure would like the food there. we're supposed to go into the Riviera after that so Mouselet A: We'll figure it out. We'll be okay. M1: Now, today we'll be zipping back around the world showcase. M2: Luckily we have Sunday that we can discuss. ⁓ Anyway, so that's the plan for Epcot. We'll probably do like some sort of breakfast there. I think brunch caught opens up a little bit late. It's a little late for breakfast. I feel like we've run into that. Mouselet A: Brunch cart. M1: It's annoying, it's one of my, it irritates me that they don't open the brunch cup booth earlier because it's it's brunch, like that one at least should open earlier, but. Mouselet A: Breakfast at the Riviera. M2: Okay, other things. So ⁓ at Animal Kingdom. So you guys know what a couple weeks ago we did an entire episode on all of the like sit down restaurants at Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, but focusing on Animal Kingdom here. And I basically let Mouselidite pick. So there's Tiffin's, there's Tusker House, there's Yak and Yeti. Again, we aren't gonna go to the lodge, we were just there. And what did you pick of those ones? Mouselet A: I chose the Rainforest Cafe. M2: which we didn't even cover. M1: Hang on, hang on. M2: To be clear, we didn't even cover that. love, I'm a Rainforest Cafe girly, but like we didn't even cover that because it just doesn't even, it's at the park, you might not even know it's there. It's at the park entrance on the left. So, I'm excited. Mouselet A: I'm so excited. And I messaged Mouseletou and I said, you know what, during the day, during the workday, I you know what, I think I want to go to the Rainforest Cafe. And she said, so do I. M1: Wow. M2: I mean, I love the Rainforest Cafe. It just reminded me that I feel like I reached out to the Rainforest Cafe once and I had some interaction with them. So I'm gonna try to find it, but, Emile, why don't you talk about the time that you were terrified of it? Did we just talk about that? Oh. M1: We did, which is when I, there are animatronic gorillas in there and guys, I was scared of them as a kid. Although I will say, I'm very sad to be missing this trip. I'm not sad to be missing the Rainforest Cafe. I had a pizza at the Rainforest Cafe, like last time I was there, which was, who even knows when, and it was truly one of the worst pizzas I've ever had in my life. Mouselet A: I can't wait. I'm like so excited. M2: I found it. did reach out. sent. Yeah, we were in talks to collaborate. I'll have to reach back out. I'm gonna make a ⁓ video and say, love it here. So I'm actually excited for that. I think it's gonna be fun, especially because I know that Mouselet C would like probably not like that at all much, you know, other than like the funny bit of it. Like he just would like all the other restaurants more. M1: Maybe you should reach out to them again. Mouselet A: Reach out. M1: It's, you're not going to the Rainforest Cafe for the delicious cuisine. And that's, and that's what Mouselessie would like. So I agree. Mouselet A: No, you're going for the vibe. M2: ⁓ my God, wait, when we were there at Disneyland in 2018, which I think is the last time I went there, I got the most amazing drink. What was that drink I got? It was non-alcoholic. Mouselet A: Yeah, we would. ⁓ God, I have no idea. That was you and me. That was just you and me at downtown Disney. Yep. M2: I know. I'm speaking to you. All right, last restaurant we're going to is the Plaza at the Magic Kingdom. And we haven't been to the Plaza since. 2018. And it was actually a horrific experience, not really to the fault of anyone. It was like 45. It was the last day of our trip. It was freezing. M1: It was like January 2nd and it was freezing. M2: It was so cold, it was raining and freezing. None of us were prepared. I wore hideous gray leggings. This isn't necessarily important to the story, but I wore really ugly gray leggings and mouse-lit threes Ithaca college sweatshirt. I looked heinous that day and they seated us right by the door. Fine, but we'd... M1: If It's not a very large restaurant. like, you know, there weren't that many options, but yeah. M2: But we said like, it possible for us to wait a little longer to not be by the door? They were like, no. We were like, okay. Unfortunately, the way that they opened the door there, guess, cause, I'm also, they might know this. I don't know, something accessibility. It's a handicap, like accessible door, which has the buttons. But every time it opens, the doors stay open for the duration that they would for like someone who needs to, you know, use a wheelchair to enter, whatever that duration is, every time the waiters and waitresses entered. So basically the door was open the entire time. and it was freezing and it was torture. And I think Mama Moussa said something. M1: And well, because the other aspect was you may have experienced this before. Sometimes when you go to a restaurant at Disney and you're like, can I have that table? They're like, ⁓ that table is already reserved. The way they like set up the tables with reservations is kind of odd. So there was another table that would have fit us that was like, visibly nobody was sitting in it. And we were like, can we have that table? And because of this weird way they do reservations, they were like, no, no, no, no, no. And mom just got like. so fed up because she was like, we're literally freezing. There's been an open freezing. It was freezing. We were right next to the door. There was an open table for our entire meal. They literally brought mama mouse lit like a tea kettle of hot water with no tea in it for her to hold to warm her hands. M2: I mean, was, was free. The door was open the entire time. They gave us like fast passes. gave all this stuff. They were being so nice, but it was just like, it would have, yeah. Mouselet A: I was gonna say there's a video I remember of you guys sitting in silence and ⁓ getting off as best as an apology. ⁓ my gosh, you don't know, you don't remember this? There is a video, so you can go back and find it, find it on close, you can put it on close stories of you, of Mouselet2, I know, and Mouselet3 at least, and Mama Mouselet. M2: Why? No, I don't remember this. M1: Not the video! M2: Where is this video? Mouselet A: and like sitting in silence as a cast member is handwriting fast passes ⁓ to each of you as like an apology because you guys were just, I know it exists because I've seen it. So you're gonna have to look for that. M2: Who has this video? M1: Okay, look for it after we're recording. Okay. M2: I don't I don't have it. I don't have it. I just looked I do see me looking hideous in there So we're eating there. They have some insane milkshake options. So I told you milkshake trip insane milkshake outfits We'll cover them more next week when we talk about it. They have one vegetarian option I will eat it because I basically will always eat the vegetarian option I have to say of all vegetarian options. This would probably be the lowest on my list It's a veggie burger with like vegetarian chili on top. I don't know interesting, but I'll but I'll eat it whatever ⁓ And that's our dining. That's our dining. That's kind of ⁓ kind of the big focus of the trip. And that brings us into the last little bit of this is like what's new, what's different this trip. We're not doing what we usually do. We have this routine that we do these parks in an order. We go to animal kingdom the last day. Like we have a very specific routine of late Hollywood. I feel like recently it's Hollywood magic Epcot animal. We do a ton of rides. Last trip was especially right focus because we were with people who don't go as much. This trip is the opposite. We want to do a ton of resort time at the Riviera. We're breaking our order. We're just kind of like seeing where things, you know, go. I said we might, we might vlog it. I think it could be fun. Let me know if you guys would like that. And then, Mel Cedé reminded me of something kind of insane. Mouselet A: This is the first time we will ever be at Walt Disney World, just the two of us. M2: on a full trip. did one night before Mouse and One's bachelorette at the Polynesian, a single night. Mouselet A: and we were just in a resort. This is our first time that we're ever in Disney World by ourselves. M2: Ever. Because the 2018 trip that we took together in Mouselet 1 came on. Yeah. M1: Wow. Wow. Mouselet A: So be fun. crashed. M1: I wouldn't say crash. I wouldn't say crash. And you know what? I was gonna crash this one too. Mouselet A: Which is crazy. M2: And you even said that you would come on our honeymoon. So the only time we've been to Disney by ourselves is our spring break 2018 trip, so Disneyland ⁓ Anyway, so next week we'll basically cover how everything went We'll talk about the lightning lanes and that strategy and if it worked we'll talk about yeah the Magic Kingdom TTC debacle that I have in my mind right now like do I park there? Do I not? I'll let you know I'll let you guys know and then we'll just run through everything we did any last questions about someone Mouselet A: 2018. Disneyland, Disneyland, yeah. M1: Well, before we move on to my game, what are your options for Sunday? M2: ⁓ We could go to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, or do a resort day or do spend time at the boardwalk. Mouselet A: ⁓ M1: Okay guys, so of that very short list of options, in the comments, if you're on YouTube or Spotify, let Mouselettu know what she should do, you know? Mouselet A: would like to make a comment as we've been discussing our trip. realize we really don't have a lot of Hollywood time and it's making me think right now I'm leaning toward we go to Hollywood studios. I also have made a comment. I have never been to ⁓ Porter Leen's French Quarter and I've like always wanted to go there and just like check it out. There's a part. M2: think we should go there Epcot day, because we don't need to rope drop because we have lightning lanes. I think we go there, we do beignets because breakfast isn't open. I think the last day, the last day I want to go to Epcot, I think to do more festival stuff. But knowing I'll be at the festival in May, if Mouselet doesn't want to, I won't have to. I would really like, I would like more Magic Kingdom time. Mouselet A: Okay. Yes, yes, yes. Great idea. We'll have to see how Friday goes. I do not. I do not. M2: You hate. Yeah, you hate Magic Kingdom. All right, guys, let's get into the game. M1: Yeah, Magic Kingdom hater these days. So I've planned a little game. It's going to be Mouselet 2 versus Mouselet A competing against each other. But you at home, you can also play and see how you do. here's what we're gonna do. I wanted something that was fair to Mouselet A because Mouselet 2 does maybe know a little bit more about trivia. So this is going to be Disney trivia by the numbers. So basically I'm going to ask you a question. For example, our first question is going to be, in 2024, how many people visited Magic Kingdom? M2: Nervous. I'm terrible at- M1: You're going to each give me your number and whoever is closer to the real number wins that round. Okay, so that's our first question. In 2024, how many people visited Magic Kingdom? And do remember that this is an audio podcast, so keep your answers, keep them snappy. Mouselet A: you So I can go right now, 17 million. M2: I'm gonna let yeah, mouse that I go for it. I was gonna say 18 million. M1: Okay. Wow. Okay, the answer is 17,836,000. So you guys literally split it right down the middle, which is insane. Mouselet two is closer, but that was actually crazy. I would have had absolutely no idea. M2: Yes! But I'm closer. I just, I was just looking at theme park attendance figures. And did you watch my, did you watch my video? Yeah. Yeah. Mouselet A: Yeah, that's why I know that because you, yep, yep, I did. Yeah. M1: Clearly I didn't. Okay, now we're going to get into some food. How many, this is according to one singular article guys, so like don't quote me on these, okay? How many pounds of french fries were served at Walt Disney World each year? Okay, 10,000 pounds, Maslow too. Mouselet A: 10,000. M2: Okay, I think we're on different pages. I was gonna say like 900,000. M1: Okay, and the answer is nine million nine million pounds of french fries Mouselet A: ⁓ M2: almost went higher but I almost said 1.2 million but I wanted to sound like a fool. I went 10,000 pounds. Trust your guide. Mouselet A: I'm the fool. I'm the fool. M1: Trust your gut. Nine million. Trust your gut, I said actually, but I'll see your guide. guide. Okay, ⁓ Mouselotoo, you need to go first this time. I'm keeping square over here. How many pounds of popcorn are served at Walt Disney World each year? M2: I was quoting Pandora. All right, two to zero, two to zero for keeping score, which we are. ⁓ well. Mouselet A: Always let your conscious be your guide. M2: The only reason I wasn't gonna go first on some of the other words is if I thought I knew the answer, I didn't want her to cheat. How many pounds of popcorn? Popcorn's really light, but they give a lot of popcorn out. How many popcorn versus french fries? I'm gonna say five million pounds. M1: You Okay, now it's day. Mouselet A: I'm gonna say one million pounds. M1: Our winner is Mousetay. It's much lighter, 300,000 pounds. Popcorn is very light apparently. Yes. Okay, we got a couple more food ones. ⁓ How many turkey legs are sold each year? Not pounds, just actual turkey legs. Mouselet A: Wow. Wow. M2: Because it's so light. Yeah, it's so light. ⁓ Mouselet A: Yuck. Yeah. M2: How many possibly could be sold in a day? A couple, three? How many guests are in Magic Kingdom every single day? What's 18 million divided by 365? 18. M1: Sorry! Oh. Guys, Mousel 2 is really mapping this out now. M2: Okay, every single day there are about 50,000 people in Magic Kingdom. Of those people, how many disgusting people, oops, would get a turkey leg. Of 50,000 people, I mean, I can't imagine even 1%. M1: Ha And your answer is, yeah. Mouselet A: Wait, what's your answer? M2: I have to calc- I'm still calculating it. Okay. Yeah. Mouselet A: Okay, I'm gonna go, can I go? I'm going to say 180,000 turkey legs. M1: Go ahead. M2: I'm gonna say 73,000. M1: Turculix. I'm also too, I have bad news for you. What is 1.6 million turkey legs per year? M2: That's- that's wrong. That's an old figure. Mouselet A: I estimated 500 a day. That's how I estimated. M2: I estimated 200 a day. I did 200 a day. M1: Guys, think how many people are in the parks each day? They wouldn't sell something that only 200. Yeah. Mouselet A: Eating turkey legs? my goodness. M2: That's, you know, I don't know if that, I think that that figure is old. M1: How old could it be? Okay, next up we're moving on. many bottles of water each year at Walt Disney World are sold? Individual bottles of water. Anyone can shout out an answer if they have one. Mouselet A: at Disney World, not just one park. M2: I want her to guess first because I have a number in mind. M1: Disney World, yeah. Mouselet A: 20 million. M2: 40 million. M1: Only 13 million. Okay, how many bottles of Coca Cola are sold each year at Walt Disney World? Mouselet A: Okay, good, I'm glad. M2: Wow. I don't know how many people drink Coca-Cola because some people get it from a soda fountain. So it's like a bottle. M1: It says, this actually doesn't say bottles, it just says Coca-Cola's. So I would say include the sodas. M2: ⁓ I mean, is it does that include anything in the Coca Cola franchise or just the Coca Cola drink? Huge, huge, huge difference. Mouselet A: Unclear. Let's just pretend Coca-Cola. M1: It says Coca-Cola's. That's what it says, Coca-Cola's. M2: I mean, I don't know. Mouselet A: I'm gonna say, all right, go ahead. M2: I don't know, 1.5 million? Mouselet A: I'm gonna say six million. M1: 75 million. That's insane, that much more than water. Mouselet A: That's insane. M2: What? Who drinks at Disney during the day? I feel like who's getting a Coke in the middle of the day? I feel like most people are getting water because it's so friggin hot. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I mean, I know people like that, but like generally speaking, wouldn't you think? Wow. M1: People love soda. Mouselet A: I just figured you get more water than Coca-Cola. know a lot of people like that, I, wow. M1: I guess maybe he will bring waters in, but like wouldn't bring a soda in, you know? Okay, ⁓ how many triangles are on the outside of Spaceship Earth? Mouselet A: Yeah. M2: That's true. God, I like used to know this, but now I have absolutely no idea. Okay, I have to ask a question. If there's like multiple triangles combining, right? Is it like a? M1: Okay. No, no, it's like, it's not that. It's not like a trick. M2: OK, OK. OK, I have no idea. I genuinely guess you guess first. Mouselet A: I'm gonna have such a dumb guess. One thousand. I have no idea. M1: You M2: I don't even know, like 8,000? M1: 11,324. See where you guys are pretty close. I mean, I could have guessed like 100,000. Yeah. I would have guessed maybe 100,000. Like, I don't know. Who knows? Okay. And how much does that structure Spaceship Earth weigh? How many pounds? M2: I considered guessing 500. ⁓ Mouselet A: Mm, that's off-brite then. M2: I'm not a good estimator. Mouselet A: I have like, ugh. Yeah, like I don't even. M2: How much does anything weigh these days? How much does steel weigh? How much does a bridge weigh? Including the ride and everything inside of it or just the ball and the dome and the steel? Mouselet A: I wouldn't even like, I don't. M1: Like the steel, the ball. M2: ⁓ it's just a car way. Wow. Two tons. Okay. Mouselet A: Like two tons, yeah. Two tons time, 500 tons. I know. have no idea. don't know. M2: 3 million tons. 500 tons he said I said 3 million tons. Okay, not even 500,000 how much M1: 16 million pounds. You're throwing me with the tons thing, but mouseletoe must have gotten it. You must have gotten it, right? But you're throwing me off with the tons. M2: ⁓ wait, I'm, I'm, yeah. But I'm at yes. Mouselet A: Yeah, yeah. I'll do the math. This is embarrassing. M2: I think I meant to say I was thinking pounds not tons. I was doing the calc. I meant I meant pounds. Yes, I meant pounds. M1: Okay, yeah, Mouselet A said to hunts. four four, so we have a tiebreaker. Okay, ready? If you were to empty all of the water at the Seas with Nemo and Friends aquarium into one gallon milk jugs and lay them side by side, the result would stretch how many miles? ⁓ M2: ⁓ my God. Okay. Shh. No one speak. need to think. M1: Do Yes, and I will say as some else... Okay, wow. ⁓ The only reason I know the Jeopardy theme song is because of Ellen's energy adventure. Mouselet A: Toot toot. M2: I have to do this math, this is impossible. Okay, so I have. How many miles? 378. Yeah, absolutely. I've never seen Jeopardy! Never watched Jeopardy! Yeah, your sister loves Jeopardy! M1: Literally, that is the only reason I know. No. Mouselet A: My family's a big Jeopardy family. I love it. I'm going to say 3,000 miles. M1: Okay, Malsadeh, what's your guess? Wow, okay. And the answer is drum roll please. ⁓ M2: Yep, no, we don't. We have a drum joke, drum joke. ⁓ that's what it is. ⁓ wait here. Mouselet A: Heya! M2: How many oops. Okay, so how many gallons? Because I guessed. Mouselet A: You know, can I say I was. M1: 5.7 million gallon tank. M2: I guess two million gallons. I think you just took a stab. Mouselet A: I was going to say 300 miles because I was thinking of a specific distance of mine and then you were too close to that so I'm like let me just go big and say the whole length of the United States. M1: Okay. M2: Yeah, you could have won if you just listened to my answers and guessed one above it. You probably would have won. Mouselet A: It's fine, I had more fun this way. M1: She was playing in an honest and real way. Mouselet A: Mm-hmm. M2: We played this game once in the park and it didn't go well, is all I'll say. Not for us. OK, all right. That was a fun game. M1: It went poorly. It went poorly. ⁓ Okay. Moving on. Thank you. It is time for Pit and Peach of the Week. And guys, I referenced at the beginning of this episode, I was going to surprise Mouselet2 and MouseletA and go down on this trip. The reason that I can't is because MouseletC and I lost someone very close to us this week. It's been a very tough week. And so we're not gonna do pits this week. ⁓ That was kind of a collective pit. MouseletA and Mouselet2 knew this person as well. It's been really tough. you know, happy to do the podcast and try and kind of have a little bit of light. And so we're gonna just focus on peaches this week instead. And I'm gonna let someone that is not me start. M2: I will start with a peach. I think that the only thing I can say for my peach is the fact that I'm going to Disney. I feel bad that Mousseline can't go. It's very sad, but of course I'm very excited myself and I am excited to go and just stay at the Riviera and have a different type of trip, especially because again, our February trip was so ride focused. Our May trip is gonna have the baby, so. Mouselet A: My peach is also the trip, but to say something different, I could think I'll say my peach was I got to spend time with my family this weekend and I saw my sister and I saw my niece and I saw her playing lacrosse. She plays college lacrosse and it was just a really good weekend. that ⁓ was a peach. M1: That's nice. ⁓ Yeah, peaches are a little bit hard to come by for me right now, but I think the Micklet ⁓ like intentionally smiled back at me for the first time, like made eye contact with me and I smiled at him and then he smiled back and that was like the coolest thing to experience and it was very special and he's been so cute and so happy during like a really hard time and it's been really nice to just sort of get to spend time with him and spend time with family. So that would be my peach and let's do our facts of the day. M2: Fact of the day. Mouseladay I know has one prepared, so kick it off. M1: Because God knows Melsa too and I don't have one prepared. So we're both racking our brains as we do every single week. Melsaday? Mouselet A: My fact is not that crazy, but I'm actually asking my fact as a question, is it true that this happened this way? That the Tower of Terror is painted a specific color to kind of match Morocco when you're looking at it from a distance to blend in. M2: It's highly, highly debated because there are specific imagineers and experts who say, like, formally say it's a coincidence and there are some who say it's absolutely true. My opinion, no. Disney doesn't care about sight lines that much because if you look at swan and dolphin, there's a giant swan and dolphin out there. So I think no, but I think some people will say yes. Mouselet A: All right. M1: Yeah, that's like a topic of hot debate, which is interesting that you know that. ⁓ Maslow too? Mouselet A: debate. M2: I think my fact is about my YouTube video this week. So easy. Yeah, Disney had plans to build five monorail resorts total, but the fourth one was the Venetian between the Contemporary and the TTC. That land sits empty today. And the reason they can't develop it super easily is because of civil engineering. It's because of borings. Me and Miles today took our soil mechanics class together. So I gotta be in that class and I'm happy about that. I think you N-ard it. Mouselet A: crazy. M2: which is something you could do at our school. Any, no record of it basically. Anyway, ⁓ it's because of the soil and the soil is not stable enough and it would be really, really, really, expensive. So that's my fact. Mouselet A: Let's not get into that. M1: relatedly, Mousletoe can tell me if this is true. The rumor has always been that where they went to go build Tower of Terror there was a sinkhole and therefore Tower of Terror had to be moved a little bit. Is that true? M2: Here's the thing. Okay, I'm learning a little bit more from my research into the Venetian about like what people like classify as a sinkhole has a lot of different meanings. A lot of the times they were talking about sinkholes at the Venetian resort, they were talking about cavities in the limestone. Let me just explain this to you guys quick. Think of the earth, the earth under your ground, you're standing outside. There's like 20 feet say of like an upper soil. Then there's like 20 to 40 feet, whatever of like a lower soil. This is in Florida in this area specifically. Underneath all of that soil. There's limestone like rock like it's like, know, you're Deeper into the earth and that limestone some of it is like has a ton of like gaping holes in it kind of like a cave a cavity is what it's called and so that is the one is making it discuss that base and so a lot of times that is what people are referring to as the sinkhole that things are like cascading into that basically But it's not the sinkhole that we think in the traditional sense of like what we see, you know, online and things. M1: of like a literal sinkhole. Cause yeah, people also say that like those lakes outside the Odyssey and Epcot are built because of it. M2: They are there are like there are lime stone cavities, but it's more it's research I'm actually going to about the Odyssey right now But yes the Tower of Terror my guess is that it's just a cavity in the limestone And it's not actually like a sinkhole in the way we're thinking of it, but it would be tough to build on they can They have to like fill the cavity they have to drive these giant the foundations deeper. It just would be very expensive so M1: Okay guys, you just learned so much about like the Tarot Tarot and sinkholes. I hope you loved. M2: ⁓ my god, guys. Fun fun fun. That was it guys. That was the episode. We're in Disney right now So follow along in stories if you like this episode give us a five-star rating on Apple and Spotify It helps people find us if you're watching on YouTube give us a thumbs up subscribe to our channel The podcast is every Thursday, but I'm also there every other Monday with deep dives trying to maybe start vlogging our trips Which would be fun?
