M2: Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of Sisters Sisters. I am joined by my sister, Mouselet1, and by Mouselet A.

M2: Wait, you know, I had to change my dance because someone told me that you dance so much more coordinated to the music. And so now I intentionally move with the music.

M1: You weren't dancing with the music before I always do the little, yeah, I dance with the music. Well, welcome back. Welcome back from your trip, guys. We're going to be doing a full recap of their trip today and we're going to be focusing on the things that they did and the tips that they have for all of you based on their trip. But I wanted to start off with like a few little sides. And the first was TSA has been really bad throughout the country, I guess. What was your experience like in the airports?

M2: I was just kind of bopping. Yeah, yeah. And people noticed. people noticed. So we flew out of the Rhode Island airport actually. ⁓ Like a lot of times we'll fly out of Logan, which is in Boston, but depending on flight service. So we actually were lucky that we ended up flying out of that airport. It was smaller. There were no issues with TSA, but I know Logan was busy. And then coming out of MCO, we flew out of terminal C, which is the JetBlue terminal. And it was a breeze. We had no issues at all, but I know terminal A and B, someone messaged us and said that it was on 110 minute wait for security. Yeah.

M1: ⁓ my God.

M2: But I don't know what time that was because I saw it but so seems like things were kind of bad, but it was good at Terminal Z. So anything to add mouse today?

Mouselet A: ⁓ my God. And we had pre-check, so again, like that helped, but no, we were lucky. And if you can fly out of terminal C, I would recommend it.

M1: mean, Terminal C is always better for security. Like MCO, in my opinion, as someone who travels like decently often, is one of the worst airports, well mostly to Orlando, but I do go other places sometimes. MCO is one of like the worst airports for regular security. Most security at this point, like really doesn't take more than like 15, 20 minutes. One time me and Mouselet C, before Mouselet C had pre-check, literally had to sign up for clear like on the spot because we weren't going to be able to get through security in time. So they're like,

M2: decently often to Orlando

M1: Terminals A B at MCO are always a disaster, so I can't even imagine how they are during this.

M2: There's also something called MCO reserve that we can get into in another episode, but look into it. You can reserve it depending on the time of your flight and it helps you get through security faster. Basically that is correct. Also, if you travel, if you travel more than once a year, you should have pre-check. Like I would spend a thousand dollars on pre-check. It lasts for like five years. it's, but I also travel a lot. I think it's like 200. Isn't it like 200?

M1: Basically, if you don't have PreCheck, you should do that. to be clear it's not a thousand dollars it's like 80 dollars or something it's definitely worth it no yeah it's like 80 dollars

Mouselet A: No, it's like $80 for five years.

M2: I wonder when my pre-chug expires.

M1: And some credit cards cover it, so you should check if your credit card covers it.

M2: A couple other things I wanted to talk about before we get into the, you know, recapping the whole trip. Morocco in the sitting on the ground talking Patreon segment, I told a story about Morocco, guys. It's a lot to get into. M1: It does involve... PIDDLE. Anyways, just a little teaser.

M2: Not mine, if that's even worse. We were walking around Morocco, which is one of my favorite pavilions because it's beautiful. And it was just like, ⁓ my gosh, can they reopen the pavilion? If you don't know, Morocco opened up in the late 1980s. It was like an added pavilion and it was sponsored or like operated by Morocco, like the country of Morocco. And then what, right around COVID, they transitioned that Disney now owns it.

M1: It was like it happened to coincide with COVID. That's like, so for example, yeah, Japan, the Japan Pavilion is not operated by Disney. That's why you can't use your annual pass order discount inside of the Japan store. And that's how Morocco used to be. And it was amazing. They had so many like, we always say, yeah, we always say some of the pavilions are a little shallow, like Germany. You just kind of are in that one circular area.

M2: They're butchering it. Authentic goods.

M1: Morocco had so many places to explore and little shops and like things to see.

M2: Two restaurants, a quick service, the best quick service on property. Now it's just a festival booth.

M1: And they literally have, yeah, closed so much and like, it's weird and why they haven't reopened it. It's one of the like main lingering things from COVID.

M2: It's actually annoying.

Mouselet A: I feel so lazy of Disney. Like, why would they do that? It's so frustrating.

M1: It is.

M2: ⁓ It was irksome. And on a more positive note, something that's not necessarily gonna come up in our recap just because it was like continuously happening, but we're big pin traders. And I think the past, you know, six, seven, eight years, whatever pin trading has been close to abysmal in the parks. You can find some good pins. And I know people, some people don't care about the fake pins, but like for us, we don't wanna trade real pins for fake pins. Like we only buy real pins to trade. And so, you know, we're more particular. I understand for kids, it doesn't matter in things. Pin trading was great.

M1: It's sad.

M2: Granted, there are still bazillion scrappers everywhere, but there were also some better pins out there and it was really fun. Like I had got three pins from a certain like Hidden Mickey collection that was so fun. What else did we get? The Darth Vader, Christopher Robin pin. Like we got some really good pins. A Rafiki Tree of Life. Mel Slyde made me trade for the most heinous Jessie scrapper pin, which, and then I kept trying to trade it she said, no, no, keep it.

Mouselet A: I like the Christopher Robin pin, it was my favorite. That ⁓ the Tree of Life, the Tree of Life pin. You gotta keep it.

M1: Lately, lately I feel like when we go to the parks, we maybe will get like two pins from the entire trip that we'll pain trade for. Yeah, that's amazing. I can't wait to be back and experience it. I hope it stays that way.

M2: We were getting like two pins a day. It was great. So that was really fun. I don't know if it will, but now let's get into a little bit of news.

M1: To start, the second park at Disneyland Paris is now officially Disney Adventure World. So they've been doing previews. We've talked about this a bunch. It used to be Walt Disney Studios, but it is now official. It's been renamed and the park did hit capacity the day that that happened, which was Sunday. Yeah, But it won't continue to be like that. But yeah, that's official. The news is very light, so we can just breeze right through it. Next one.

M2: And there was like someone almost got trampled. Did you see that video? It was Stampede.

Mouselet A: Stampede, yeah.

M2: Yeah, Buzz, Buzz Lightyear. Does that have new name? Okay, I don't know if it changed to Astra or whatever. It's soft opened, soft reopened, some might say. And it seems like it's really good. I'm excited. I think it's just like a good refresh. Mouselety despises this ride so much. So I'm excited for her to start loving it again. So that being said, she won't be back at Disney World for like 10 months, but I'm excited about that. And the last bit of news.

M1: As Space Rangers spin, no, think it's the same at Disney World. Me too.

M2: D23 info has been announced, so more info on that. It's in August if you're gonna go. It's a huge kinda like Disney exposition type thing.

M1: Yeah, they announced the dates and everything officially, but not much news to be honest. Let's move along. You guys have a lot to recap on your trip.

M2: We do. The main segment, our trip recap. We did a lot, honestly, and I feel like we had some very good lessons learned. So we're going to kind of recap, but also talk sort of tips and how you could experience these things or how you could not experience these things if we feel like it was like maybe not the right move. ⁓ so guess I want to kind of start off with just like check-in and then maybe Mel said that you can talk a little bit about the Riviera and the one bedroom and just what you think of the one bedroom in comparison to like other types of rooms.

Mouselet A: Okay, I think it's kind of similar to other one beds on the property, but you have ⁓ like a full kitchen and a really good dining area. It's like a booth and a couple of seats. So really spacious for like an eating kitchen type style. And then you have a Murphy bed in the living room. It's a queen size bed. And there is like a trundle bed that's like a twin in the living room as well. And then a king bed in the one bedroom. And it's just beautiful. And especially the one bedroom is... The bedroom is beautiful. Yes.

M2: It also has laundry and it has a bathroom that has one bathroom has a sink, the toilet and the huge shower. And then there's like a barn doors that don't close all the way, but with a, with another sink and a tub.

M1: I saw some people ask like why did you guys choose to stay in a one bedroom versus a studio? So I just wanted to say for two people a one bedroom is definitely like a really really nice splurge but absolutely not something that you need. In this case when we were planning trips it wasn't exactly clear who would be going like our parents maybe would go or like maybe I would have been able to go or something. So having the one bedroom is nice but like if you're two people wondering like wait should I be doing this? I would say

M2: Yeah.

M1: Lovely if you can, totally fine if you can't.

M2: Yeah, it was great to have the one bed, but definitely wasn't absolutely needed. Other things about the Riviera, I wanna briefly touch on Primo Piatto just because I think it's, I don't know if it's underrated, but I do feel like I don't hear people talk about it enough. Primo Piatto is the quick service at the Riviera. And honestly, I would say the food is up at the caliber of a lower grade sit-down.

Mouselet A: Necessary. Wasn't necessary. Yeah, the space.

M2: Would you agree?

M1: Prima Piatta was amazing. I'll let Mouselette speak to any specific experiences she had there, but it's, I just feel like people don't really pay attention to the quick service at resorts, because most of them, like for example, the Mara Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's just a quick service. mean, you know, there's no reason to make a special trip. It's completely fine. Like, you know, even something like Captain Cook's at the Polynesian, which has some nice variation, but it's really typically not gonna be worth like a trip.

M2: It's the biggest man in the world.

M1: Primo Piazza to me, if you're looking to do something a little different, is like worth a trip maybe. It's really good.

Mouselet A: Yeah, I wanted to like stay at the resort additional days for dinner or for breakfast because I wanted to try multiple things on the menu because I really enjoyed it.

M2: for vegetarian vegan, because I got some questions about that in general. I got a grilled vegetable pita, Mouselet, I loved it so much, she got it another day. It is really good, she got a croque madame or croque monsieur, I can't remember which, I croque monsieur, which is like a grilled cheese with ham, basically. And we got the Riviera specialty cookies, and Mouselet, I got banana bread, all in all, it is, they serve it to you on,

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M2: with like actual utensils. I don't know. It just feels a little bit elevated, which makes sense because Riviera is like an elevated resort, but you can take the Skyliner right over from Epcot or Hollywood Studios, Caribbean beach, whatever. I would say try it out. Honestly, anything. Yeah, anything else we want to say about our initial day with Riviera? Check in day, anything I think that kind of covered it. All right, so on Thursday we did a work from home day, which I love.

M1: It's really good.

M2: Introducing mouse today to work from home days because well we do work from home like sometimes during the week We work from like our house and so, you know You can work from Disney just as effectively truly even if you have meetings, which we both did We both had our hats headsets, which I'll show you if you're you're watching ⁓ it's like

M1: Guys, and if you're not watching it to headset, picture someone in like 1995 at a call center. That's what the headset looks like, okay?

M2: I wear that I remember when my company like introduced us or though they were like everyone's getting these headsets and I was like, ⁓ this is so embarrassing. And then I was like, no, actually it's not. And I like own it now. I know I love it. And you know what? You had a meeting once and you borrowed my headset.

M1: You like, you love it, you embrace it, yeah. I must have been absolutely desperate out of the mouse as we like to say.

M2: You were in the solarium at like the beach club and it was so loud. ⁓ So we did work from.

M1: Oh, well, I wanted to say about your work from home. It was funny because guys, whenever Mouselet 2 and I work from home, almost always it's because we're getting in that morning or like we're transferring resource or something. Basically, we never have a room. And so we're working from the solarium at the beach club. We're working from the something, the river roost or whatever at Riverside. We're working from the cafe at Riviera. So Mouselet 2 was saying she was like, OK, I'm prepping for where we're going to work. We'll be able to go down to the little library thing.

M2: Puffins Roost, Puffins Roost. get some coffees, and I was like, wait, we have a room. And then I asked her today, was like, should we work at the room? She was like, yeah.

M1: Nope, she had a room.

Mouselet A: Yeah, at the huge table that we have in the room.

M1: Yeah, especially because you had a one bedroom with that table. Like that's one of the perks of staying in the DVC Villa is you have, if you're in a one bedroom or up, you have an actual table to like do stuff at, not just a little desk. Also, TBT to when the Boardwalk Resort, we had a room, but it didn't have a desk. So that room was useless. You had to work on an ironing board.

M2: ⁓ my God, we pulled an ironing board. We were like, are you actually, we filmed like a hilarious. I don't know if it took pictures or from the video of us working from all of these insane spots. ⁓ That was a huge miss, honestly. we, in the morning, you cause we had to work, but we could, you know, we're pretty flexed. I start work pretty early, usually at like seven, but I was fine starting a little bit later. So we went for what we call a hot girl walk and we started at Riviera. We walked all the way through Caribbean beach. all the way to like the very, very end, the boonies, the boondocks, and then all the way back. Malcedea was obsessed with Caribbean beach. So talk a little bit about our like walk, our walking route.

Mouselet A: I had never been to Caribbean beach, so I was really excited and I loved it. And this is what I think, this is what I've come to appreciate so much about certain resorts. It's the little things, like the walking path and the ability just to experience kind of both resorts, Riviera and Caribbean beach. So yeah, we did this whole loop. It was so pretty. It was the perfect temperature and it was just so really great. way to explore the grounds and like take in every piece of the amenities of like both resorts honestly.

M2: And when we stayed at Caribbean beach in November of 2024, Mouselet1 hates when I name trip dates, but in November of 2024.

M1: do. I think that nobody cares.

M2: It's a very important. It's very important context for myself. November of twenty twenty four. We stayed at Caribbean Beach and we requested a ruba. The pink section, I think it's a no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,

M1: pink section, like the...

Mouselet A: all the way in the back.

M1: No, no, no.

Mouselet A: Trinidad. Trinidad.

M2: And the reason that we got to do that, and Disney advertised it this way, like when you're getting off the Skyliner, ⁓ they'll say Riviera and Aruba. And what's so convenient is that you can use the Skyliner from the Riviera station. It's a way shorter walk. You can go get Primo Piatto. Like it's really nice.

M1: Something that I find crazy is that we had really never been to Caribbean Beach before, 2024 wet mouse lit. Okay. What mouse lit two just said. And so we'd never really sort of experienced this Caribbean beach pre Riviera, but the Riviera resort took away a section of Caribbean beach. They just like literally removed one of the, you know, Aruba or whatever it was and replaced Riviera. And Caribbean beach is so gigantic already. People were like upset when that happened.

M2: confirmed it's a ruba.

Mouselet A: buildings.

M1: But I'm like, Caribbean Beach is already too large in my opinion. But I feel like what they did with the Riviera was smart. Caribbean Beach didn't need to be that big and they were able to get another resort in close proximity. yeah, can kind of share, you can take a walk and it's very pretty on the water and stuff. I remember people being mad.

M2: Yeah. I'm like looking at an old map of the Caribbean of Caribbean Beach and I think it was Barbados potentially that they change about and I will say I think it changed the vibe a little bit because it does revere feels a little bit different. I also think they moved like some of the check-in stuff, but in general I do think it was the right move Caribbean Beach is gigantic and so yeah if you're staying at Caribbean Beach request to Ruba because then you're kind of getting the best of both worlds. I would say if you're staying Caribbean Beach don't request Trinidad. I'm sure there's some fans out there of that location at the resort. but it felt far away. All in all though, was about a two mile walk.

Mouselet A: Well, Trinidad did, though, have a little bit of closer access to the actual Caribbean beach ⁓ Skyliner stop.

M2: And it had a separate little like bar and grill. Yeah, which was cool, but it felt really out of the way.

Mouselet A: by Glass Grill, think it was called. Yeah, it was actually like a vibe back there, but it was quiet and like, again, it was a vibe.

M2: I wouldn't personally, I wouldn't want to say back there. I'm sure people there are people who love it though. But that was our Hawker walk. Then we worked from home, which was as good as it possibly could be working from the resort. We got coffees, which was fun. Like again, if you want tips for working from home and other spots, we can give you all of those tips because we've worked from home. I mean, we worked in what? The Contempo Cafe. That was not our best move. No out.

M1: Yeah. ⁓ yeah, that was bad. That was bad. Which is right next to Chef Mickey and they do that song at Chef Mickey where they're like waving the napkins around. We're like taking meetings. People are waving napkins to that song. There's no outlets. It was, that was not our best one. Yeah, we did. We did. To be clear, we did not unplug the toaster, to be clear.

M2: We considered unplugging a toaster to get an outlet. Should we? ⁓ So working. We did not plug the toaster.

Mouselet A: How about that lounge at like the beach club or the yacht club? Which is that one? Starts with an ⁓ Martha's Vineyard.

M2: How about the maples?

M1: ⁓ Martha's been here. That's a great place to work because it's not a soul in sight.

M2: Don't know literally you want to work at Martha's Vineyard. You want to feel like you think of the worst spot You could ever work you're thinking like a very plain office fluorescent. No the Martha's Vineyard lounge nursing home. Okay, it's Unbelievable. It was great to work in though because there was I mean there was like one waiter clinking a little glass He had to get like one glass out for the night because there's only one person coming ⁓ After we were from home we went to the gym The gym was okay. I'm pretty like small

M1: because there's no one around.

Mouselet A: small.

M2: little bit dark and I didn't like the like free weight section which is my priority. The cardio equipment section was decent but compared to the poly tower the gym was I know some people care about gyms and Disney Resorts some people don't two people here care one person doesn't. ⁓ Yeah the gym was only okay I don't know I got a good workout in but I was a little bit a little disappointed with it.

M1: I wonder who? Not sure. Who's to say? I think it's interesting because the Riviera is so new that you would think that they would have built out a really nice gym. But the Riviera is definitely very small for a deluxe resort. It's one singular building. It's just, very tiny. So everything is much more compact. Even the lobby is so small that I guess maybe they just didn't have the space for something larger, but it is interesting.

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M2: Yeah, it's very small. It's a very small resort. I actually prefer the Grand Tocino Tower gym, which is a moderate resort over this. mean, this is not, it's a better gym than, I mean, like the contemporary gym, which is the worst gym ever, or the beach and yacht club gym, which is incredibly small, but it's still one of my kind of bottom tier gyms. Like I think Mouselet's Sea would have been like, meh, meh. So we did workout, then we went.

M1: Yeah.

Mouselet A: Yeah, agreed.

M1: Nobody understood the reference of what you just did.

M2: I like the view you do. You're my best view me. OK, I'm going to put that I'm going to slide that sound into here. ⁓ We then hit up the pools, which is fun. OK, question. I always thought mouse that one and mouse today if you're aware of this, I always thought that the second pool of the Riviera was an adults only pool.

M1: No, okay, I wanna look it up. You said that, no, you said that this time it was not an adults only pool. I don't think, I think it used to be.

M2: It's not, it never has been. Mal said, told the story of the family that showed up.

Mouselet A: Well, a family walked, so we were sitting in one of the tables eating lunch and there were a lot of people lounging, but not a soul was in the pool. And it just gave adults, like adults who wanted to sunbathe and not swim. And this like poor family walked in, maybe with like eight year old kids, not like super, super young. And they stopped in their tracks. I heard them talking and they were wondering if they were accidentally in an adult, oldie pool. And they turned around and they walked out. And then I felt bad for them.

M1: Wow, just, yeah, I just searched it and it was never adults only. But when we went there, I would have bet money that that was adults only. Yeah.

M2: Confirmed, though, it's not.

Mouselet A: It's like an unspoken rule or something.

M2: Okay, wait, this is really weird. I just went to the Disney website for the Riviera Resort, like to see the pool. And the pictures they're using of the pool is like a ⁓ rendering. They're using a rendering of it. Why would they do that?

M1: I guess they never updated it maybe. Guys, like hot take for a billion dollar company Disney's technology is sometimes like terrible. The number of times that I've ended up on a page on Disney's website with a picture of Stitch saying oops oops Stitch ate this page ⁓ is insane and I'm sure other people have had that experience. So honestly it doesn't surprise me that they're using a rendering of the pool.

Mouselet A: They never updated it.

M2: was Stitch. Stitch ate this page. Yeah, I guess I will say that. Okay, and then we headed to Hollywood Studios and that was our only time at Hollywood, which I feel like was very interesting for us. And the real reason was, is that these days, these days, you can't just drop into Hollywood on a whim and do any rides.

Mouselet A: Thank

M1: Get it? Drop in. Tower of terror. Thank you. Thank you, Masade.

Mouselet A: Ha.

M2: That was funny. Please don't clink that cup, Mouselet one. You can't just drop into Hollywood Studios on a whim because there's not that much going on and it's all e-ticket attractions and the lines are just so long. And so we only planned one day for it, but Mouselet, what did we do?

Mouselet A: When we got there, the one thing we really wanted to do was try to fit in Tower of Terror. And it was a 45 minute wait and we went for it. So we waited for tower and actually I think that was the right move. It was worth it. And then we had a rush though to our dining reservation at prime time.

M2: It was the first time I said I think I've ever waited 45 minutes for Tower in the standby queue.

M1: Yeah, well I was gonna say. We do not wait for rides that are more than like 25 minutes. I mean, if we're in a 30 minute queue, we're like, ⁓ my God, like we just don't. Yeah, we just don't. And so, I mean, it's crazy. feel like I'm curious what other people think who are not insane like us. If 45 minutes is like feels so long or is kind of like, I mean, yeah, sometimes you wait 45 minutes. Cause for me, I'm like, I cannot believe.

M2: There's not much I would wait 30 minutes for, but it wasn't bad.

M1: You waited 45 minutes, we never do that.

Mouselet A: Yeah, it really wasn't bad though. And it was our only opportunity. We knew we had to like take advantage of it because we weren't going to come back. We didn't have a lightning option and yeah.

M1: yeah the we never wait 45 minutes for rides because we're either rope dropping doing them with lightning lanes or we just don't get to do them which is like you know that's a true yeah

M2: That's something that was so annoying though. There are these kit kids like I don't know probably like high schoolers college because I'm not totally sure their age in front of us

Mouselet A: No, not the girls that did a little. They were like 14.

M2: The teal shirts, yeah. Okay, they were older than 14. They're waiting in line and they go to exit the line and they're like, ⁓ like, I don't think we can wait this long. ⁓ sorry, they didn't exit the line. They just ducked under and cut off like 30 minutes of the queue and just cut the line.

Mouselet A: No, no way. Anyway. The whole outside like loop of the queue. ⁓ I was so mad. The nerve. Of course, who they got in front of, like they just like weren't paying attention at all. Go figure. And the people in front of them were very visibly annoyed by it because they knew what was going on. But the people they actually got in front of didn't realize it even happened somehow.

M2: And I was like.

M1: The peop- wait, the people over there weren't like, excuse me?

M2: No. I would have said. I would have said, no, no, no, no, no, I'm sorry.

M1: I mean, I would have too, like, yeah, like you can't do that.

Mouselet A: Uh-uh.

M2: I was like, I'm sorry. No, you can't do that. Sorry, sweethearts. Sorry, college kids who may be 14, 14 to 21. They knew what they were doing. They knew what they were doing though. Don't cut them any breaks, listeners.

Mouselet A: Yeah. They were definitely four- they were definitely fourteen guys. They were fourteen. They had all- they were like spring break trip t-shirts.

M1: Also.

M2: No cuts, no cuts, no coconuts.

M1: Also, Melsa too, it really looks like you're drinking a beer out of a can. I assume you're not, but I know you don't, but it's like the can is giving... ⁓

Mouselet A: It's it's a poppy.

M2: I don't even drink beer or alcohol, really. It's a poppy probiotic soda. Prebiotic.

M1: What's that mean?

Mouselet A: Yeah.

M2: I don't know.

M1: Okay, we can't do a deep dive into Poppy right now. Moving on.

M2: Okay, so then after Hollywood Studios went to prime time and we've just talked about prime time last week with our like iconic Antelaine, Mouselet1 ended up finding some, well, okay, if you didn't listen last week.

M1: Someone messaged us that. I'm pretty sure she's a Peach Crew listener.

M2: Just explain it me briefly if someone doesn't know.

M1: The very first time that we ever went to Primetime Cafe, there was a server there named Antelaine, and if you don't know, at Primetime they act like kind of like 1950s mom's kitchen or whatever. So they're like, you know, keep your elbows off the table, like eat your vegetables. And we had this incredible server who literally made our entire trip. We've talked about her literally since then. We only ever saw her that one time. And a listener who I'm pretty sure is a Peach Crew member, so huge shout out to you.

M2: It's just crazy.

M1: DM me a video after she listened to our episode and said, look, it's Aunt Elaine. And it was a little news segment that a local news station had done on Aunt Elaine being there 50 years and how so working at Disney 50 years, she started out in the contemporary gift shop, but then moved to prime time and has been there since. And there literally is like a Facebook page dedicated to fans who love her. This news reporter reached out to people on the page, all saying like, Aunt Elaine.

M1: made our trip and I was like, wow, it's so crazy that we also experienced Antelaine and had no idea that there was like a whole fandom behind her.

M2: It's a People magazine article. She first accepted her job at Walt Disney World in 1975 working as a Buffet area cashier at contemporary. She didn't expect to be there that long, but 50 years later She said she has the best job in the world She did a bunch of other locations worked behind the scenes all this stuff and then now she ended up doing primetime She's 72 years old. She said once computers were introduced She needed to find something new and let her to go customer facing things. She found her match 25 years ago. You know, it's crazy 25 years ago, I mean, we were there and her, wasn't, I was probably like eight, nine or 10. So a couple of years after her first year.

M1: I was gonna say, mean, we... That is crazy and she's amazing. And I also think it's crazy that we go back to primetime a lot and we've always looked for Antalaine and always assumed like she's been, you know, long moved on from that position slash the company. wait, I didn't know that.

M2: Yeah, of course. just like, I saw her though. I saw her. First off, I texted the family group message.

M1: I don't remember. I had a lot going on. You saw her?

Mouselet A: Yeah, you said OMG Antelaine.

M2: I saw Antelaine and I almost was like, she was so first off, we had an amazing server. Her name was Whitney, Aunt Whitney, and she was so funny and so animated. Yeah, she was another Antelaine and she was, ⁓ she was so, so, so, so, so good. But then I saw Antelaine and only because I had just seen the whole thing that I was like, but her name tag said, Antelaine. And I wanted to stop her and be like, Antelaine, but she was on the move. Both times I saw her, she was on the move. And I was like, feel like she probably gets it a lot.

Mouselet A: She's my favorite.

M2: So I was like, don't wanna like, I don't wanna bug her, so.

M1: She must, mean, there literally is so many fans, but if you have never been to prime time and like you like kind of interactive experiences like that, it's really, really fun. It depends on the server you get, like.

M2: They were all like on their game though. There is

Mouselet A: It was really, it was like good this time. I think it's the best experience I've had at Prime Time. Everyone was on and it was fun. A lot of people had the hats that said like Troublemaker on. The kids were like clearing the plates like.

M2: Yeah, they made the kids walk towards like towards the kitchen and clear the plates and stand against the wall like it was It was so fun. Then there was an 85 year old man who was celebrating his birthday and Aunt Whitney had everyone saying and mouse that I and I but mostly mouse that I started like bawling

Mouselet A: Yeah, everyone was on. Because also there was another birthday. There was another birthday, like right before that. And just like the section was singing, right? But Aunt Whitney was so animated, so loud. I kid you not, the whole restaurant was singing. he was 85. And I'm like, oh my gosh, this is like literally was his like kitchen growing up. Like literally the 50s. And then she's getting me going.

M2: Everyone in the restaurant sang to him. I posted a video of it. And then I was riling her up. I was like, your mom, if your mom was here, she would be feeling like home.

M1: Yeah, I was gonna say, you guys were going down a whole trip down memory lane.

Mouselet A: It was, it was great, it was great.

M2: Okay, after that, Mausolea, I you have a very important question for M1, because after that we went and saw Phantasmic, and we saw the early show Phantasmic. Who knew there was a later show until someone mentioned it to us? But we saw the early show of Phantasmic. We got there, it was an 8.30 show. We got there at 8.15, and we were like, where do we sit? The only spot to sit was the far left side of the theater. I wanted to just be like, see my mom, and just squeeze in, but Mausolea didn't let us.

Mouselet A: Yeah.

M1: I gonna say, I was gonna say Maslow too and I would be like, ⁓ we have seats down there. Guys.

M2: Mom, mom!

Mouselet A: And you know what? And I said, oops, did we just not complain about the two girls at the Tower of Terror?

Mouselet A: No, no. we also, but I think it's important to add that we didn't get there, like we didn't get there ahead of time. Like we got there.

But anyway, we got there at 815 and we decided to sit in the bleachers in the back Not the bleachers that you guys have sat in there's like behind the front walkway There's another miniature set of bleachers is like major overflow and we sat there best seat I've ever had best seat of the house

M1: No, no, the thing is it was a horrible see guys. She liked it because she was able to leave early when the boat came out. The best part of the show, which is insane to me.

M2: No. To be clear, to be clear, the boat wasn't out yet.

M1: Yeah, and you left. And you left. Those seats are so, so, so far back. I would never sit there.

Mouselet A: It barely came out and we were out of there.

M2: Mel Ciddei, did you like that seat?

Mouselet A: Yeah, that's all I wanted.

M2: You couldn't see Moana and that was maybe a downside but other than that it was it even better view of Aladdin and Really? We've seen the show so many times. We're on the Skyliner if you Draw grind out you're gonna wait like 45 minutes for the Skyliner and so and that's right if that's what you want to do I'm a papa mouse let papa mouse let us raised me our kids. We've said our kids will never know that there are fireworks At the park or no, we said they'll never know their projections We'll watch the fireworks from the resort and we'll say, so special, so special. They'll never be in the park until they're like 12.

Mouselet A: They'll never know that there are projections.

M1: I haven't used my favorite button yet, so to your seats at Fantasmic, I give you a big fat, it didn't work, I hate this platform, wait, wait, wait, here it's coming. There we go, that seat was a boo.

Mouselet A: So in that situation, even though you had to like wait for the Skyliner, would you have stayed until the... Well, would you have one, stayed until the very end and two, how early would you have gotten there to get a better seat? Or would you have just pretended you knew someone?

M2: No, it wasn't. She would have gotten there like an hour earlier and I know it.

M1: I would have definitely gotten there earlier. I would have gotten there probably like, no, I probably would have gotten there like a little over a half hour earlier, like half hour early. Because then typically you can like, I don't need the best seat ever. I just need a seat not in those bleachers. And I also would have stayed until the end. I'm happy to, as soon as it finishes, dash out. I'm happy to watch the end from standing in the back, but I would not have literally left the theater. The end is my favorite part of the show. And also, were saying that Fantasmic made you like emotional.

M2: I mean.

Mouselet A: It was making me emotional.

M1: Fantastic makes me emotional because of the end. The end makes me emotional.

M2: Makes me emotional because this song from Frozen.

Mouselet A: Frozen didn't get me. Pocahontas got me. M2: Okay, next up, so that was that day. It was good. It was good to get some Hollywood time. We walked around, cut through Galaxy's Edge, cut, you know, but again, if we really wanted to do that park, I mean, rock and roller coasters closed. We've done Star Wars stuff a lot recently. We just got to do all the big E-ticket rides. Like we would have had to do Lightning Lanes and it just didn't make sense for a half day. Lightning Lanes do not make sense for a half day if you're only in the parks for like an afternoon. I know that's a kind of a niche situation, but like if you're flying in like,

M1: Well, we learned our lesson, remember for Jollywood nights, we had lightning lanes like when we got there in the afternoon before Jollywood night started. And like, it was just such a waste. Like we couldn't even finish the three that we had honestly, because the park was so busy, yet alone more, not a good use of them.

M2: My coworker told me that her sister bought Premier Pass. They had like a dancer's title, whatever. Her sister bought Premier Pass for herself and the kids. They arrived at the park at 4 p.m. They bought it for Magic Kingdom. It was like $350, $400. They bought it for like a bunch of them. No, they knew exactly what they were doing. They just, they can afford it. They wanted to be able to do everything they wanted, I know.

Mouselet A: Did they not understand what they were doing or?

M1: ⁓ my God. Wow, that must be nice. If I bought Premier Pass, I would be there, I would be beating down the gates saying, let me in, let me in use my Premier Pass.

M2: Literally ⁓ Okay, the next day we it was an Epcot day But we had lightning lanes and I talked about last week how we did a weird kind of lightning lane flip and we booked them for Epcot we booked them for animal kingdom and honestly Well animal kingdoms for sure no regrets, but Epcot in general no regrets. I think we made the right choice booking lightning lanes because It amounts that I seem like she sort of disagrees, but we'll get to that. You think we made the wrong choice?

Mouselet A: I disagree. Adieu!

M1: Wow. ⁓ my gosh.

M2: Well, I was gonna say it allowed us to get to Epcot late and feel no guilt like because we didn't have to rope drop because we already had lightning lanes booked and so we went to Port Orleans French Quarter and we hopped in our rental car, which was so worth it. We drove there and we said, hello, we're staying on site. We'd like to get some beignets. They had no issues letting us in. I'm not saying that's gonna be experienced every time, but there were no problems and we got beignets and we walked around the resort and we practiced a dance, which is actually a peach and it was very fun.

Mouselet A: It was fun, but it was at least a half hour and I wanted to ask Melsette one how she would have felt about that schedule, how we didn't get to Epcot until, I don't know, noon.

M2: No, like 11.

M1: Well, I-

Mouselet A: 11.

M1: So in particular would have been tough. do, I love Portolines French Quarter and I love the beignets and Melsitu and I have practiced many a dance in parks and resorts. And like, I always find the beginning of it to be like, okay, yeah, this is fun. And then sometimes it drags on too, too long. And I'm like, we're actually wasting so much time and I'm becoming miserable. 30 minutes isn't that bad. So if that, if it was that, would have been okay. But getting to Epcot, yeah, getting to Epcot,

M2: It was like a 15 minute long video.

M1: that late, I don't know.

M2: Like I wouldn't have minded an Epcot morning, but so when we got there, it was nice to have these lightning lanes stacked. Like I really wanted to do Living with the Land. That was a pretty long wait. I wanted to do Guardians. I mean, God, I can barely wait in the light.

M1: Well, that you, yeah, guardians you have to buy an individual lightning lane for.

Mouselet A: Guardians is different. Yeah.

M2: Oh, oh, you don't. OK, to be clear, listeners, you don't have to. You can wait in the sand bike, you a rope drop it. But the. Even the even the lightning lane, we purchased a lightning lane, it was like 20 bucks a person, which is kind of ridiculous, honestly, that they like charge for rides like that. It's kind of annoying. But we purchased a lightning lane. Actually, it's really annoying. We purchased lightning. We waited 45 minutes. The ride went down twice while we were waiting. But like 45 minutes is a.

Mouselet A: Guardians is different.

M1: I highly recommend not doing that, but you can.

Mouselet A: ⁓ yeah.

M2: I was like literally if... No, literally. I said if this ride was 1 % worse, I would never wait for it again. The only reason is the ride is so good.

M1: That's unfortunate.

Mouselet A: And when we got off, were like, that was amazing. Like it was a great, it was a great, yeah.

M2: Yeah, it was so, it is the best. It's just like, ⁓ my God, Jeepers, Creepers. ⁓ The crowds are so busy, so I was a little bummed. After we used our first lightning lane, I tried to book test track and I sat there and there was not a single one available all day.

M1: I mean, it's the best array.

Mouselet A: That's why I'm kind of saying that I don't actually think our lightning lanes ⁓ were worth it, because I don't think we...

M2: But we had Soarin' and we had Frozen. We wouldn't have been able to do those.

Mouselet A: Yeah, I guess I could have done without Frozen, but... ⁓

M1: ⁓ yeah, I'm so happy. Mel Cede is on my team that the Frozen ride is not that good.

Mouselet A: Yeah, no, I'm sure a lot of people enjoy it, but I was not a fan. And my back, remember what happened to my back? Got so banged up, I had a huge bruise on my back from the...

M2: I love it. I loved it. ⁓ yeah, had, the seat was tight. The fourth row was tight and Mouselet A had, mean, backs were getting bruised. She had bruises on her spine. We were getting smashed around. I loved it though, I loved it. We did have a bit of a debacle. We mixed up late in the game. It was a whole thing, but we were able to ride it.

Mouselet A: It was a little rickety back there.

M1: That's so, so bizarre. ⁓ The reason that Mouseletube wanted to write it, because that is right that we typically skip, is the animatronics have the new versions of the faces or whatever. Did you like that better? I mean, I'm sure you did. The old ones were not.

M2: They looked way better. thought that I thought it was a really enjoyable ride. I thought it was a good experience. I think that if that ride was like a 25 minute wait, I would go on it every time I was at up cup.

M1: Yeah, it's a bummer that it's not. could use some more rides. Okay, but so would you recommend to people to get Lightning Lanes at Epcot after we've always typically said, not really?

M2: Yeah, sorry for another day. Here's the biggest issue. If you want to do test track, want to do frozen, want to do Ratatouille, you can only get one of those. And if it's really busy, even when you use a lightning lane right away, you're really like, there's nothing test track available. So it's like, you got to rope drop one still, and then you're gonna, you know, you're probably gonna miss one of those or have to wait in line. Living with the land is good, soreness good, but like, actually the seas is like a 50 minute wait. So I guess you could have used it on the seas. Yeah, it was busy.

M1: ⁓ my god.

M2: So I guess maybe on a busy day in spring break, you have someone, if you have kids and you wanna do rides, you probably should get it.

Mouselet A: Yeah, I-

M2: Like if your kids are going to be bored, but I would I get it again? No. I would not.

Mouselet A: I think it just, yeah, it depends. If rides are really your priority there, and I feel like Epcot has so many other things to offer that I don't know. Yeah.

M1: Probably for families, for families, yeah.

M2: I think families like you can do figment, can do soaring, living with the land, the seas, spaceship earth, test track, like you can do a bunch of those. probably is even like turtle talk with crush. That was like a 30 minute wait. Mission space. I don't know about her families, but maybe. So yeah, that was half half about Epcot. After that, we went back to the Riviera, swam at nighttime. That was fun.

Mouselet A: Spaceship Earth. Mission space. So, Mouselet1, how do you feel about us leaving Epcot at like 7 p.m.?

M1: So my thing is we often don't say to Epcot till the very end. feel like, for example, the last, I can't even tell you the last time that we went and found a spot to watch the Epcot fireworks. we will, what was it? We watched, no, we've watched them like we're walking out and we're sort of standing in like the fourth row being like, okay, we see it.

M2: ⁓ I remember May May. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Me and mom and dad were standing in the fourth row. You then were like, I found a way better seat over here. And you insisted on having that seat.

M1: Well, you know what? Shout out to me for that because we never watch those, we never watch those fireworks and I would like to watch them more. I feel like I don't really have a connection to that show right now because we don't watch them. But I do prefer Epcot during the day more than night. At night I just feel like it sometimes gets like a little bit chaotic. Like for me daytime Epcot is where it's at and staying at the Riviera, you know, I support it. Again, the only reason I am like a little mess because Epcot is my favorite park.

M2: No. Yeah, I agree with that.

M1: and you guys already didn't get there right at rope drop in the morning. How was flowering garden?

M2: It was good. It was really good. We got like a lot of great food. The topiaries were great. It's my favorite festival and I remember why. just like, I love I love this festival.

Mouselet A: It was good. Yeah.

M1: The park is alive during Flower and Garden and honestly Festival of the Arts because there's things to like look at around like integrate it. Malcede, what's your ranking of Epcot festivals?

M2: activations and things, yes.

Mouselet A: It's Festival of the Arts is number one. I didn't have the best time this year just because it was so cold, which was a bummer. But Festival of the Arts number one, number two is Flower and Garden for sure.

M2: What's three?

Mouselet A: ⁓ maybe festival of the holidays. Well, food and wine, ⁓ food and wine. I had a, yeah, I don't know. I don't know.

M2: Over food and wine? Okay.

M1: ⁓ Also, Melsodeh, are you, Melsodeh went through a little dip of not loving Epcot. Do you like Epcot again?

M2: No, at the beginning of the trip I said, ⁓ I forgot you're an Epcot hater. And she said, she said everyone drinking. And here's the thing that was ruining it. But here's the issue really is that we went at one time with Miles today for food and wine on a Saturday. And it was, it was with her sisters. It was in 2024, but it was crazy busy and not enjoyable. And then festival of the arts was very, very, very busy when we went this year. And so I feel like she's getting, yeah. So I feel like you're getting a little tarnished by the crowds.

M1: Yeah, I've got Hater over there.

Mouselet A: It was crazy. Correct. weirdly, insanely busy.

M1: It's tough.

Mouselet A: Correct.

M1: It's tough because Epcot is obviously a popular park of course, but also locals like to go to that park more because it's fun to walk around and get little bites and eat and drink and stuff. And I just feel like Epcot is becoming a zoo. It's always so busy. When you get a calm Epcot day, it's the best thing ever, yeah.

Mouselet A: Yes. amazing.

M2: That was the other thing I was gonna say is that, at Epcot, we did festival food, we were considering canceling dinner, but actually it was so nice to have just a touch point for dinner, a sit down meal. We tried Chef DeFrance. I think we'll do a deep dive on some of the Epcot dining at another time, but overall we liked it. ⁓ We'll get into the nitty gritty later. But when we left, was like, ⁓ the locals are here. You could just tell. And it was just like, or people were park hopping or both. Suddenly it was so busy. And it was like, okay, right now,

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M2: Cause Malice today was like, maybe we should stay, but it was like, we could, or we could just go back and enjoy the Riviera and have a relaxing night. And, and that's what we did. And I have no regrets. I do want to say one downside about the Riviera is this kind of a niche thing. It was really odd though. So we were out at the pool and the entire time that we were out at the pool, there was a helicopter circling above our head. Like, I mean, it was high up, but like it was loud. and it was constant and it was going in a circle around the Riviera. And I put it in the stories. It was like, what is this? People are like, someone's lost, someone's this. No, so it turns out someone said this and upon research, it's true. These companies from Orlando do private fireworks helicopter viewings and certain areas of Disney are like no fly zones and this is not one of them. And so they'll take people up in a helicopter and they'll watch the Epcot fireworks from the helicopter and they have a great view from above the Riviera.

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M2: Apparently it happens every single night.

M1: So a listener question, we're gonna do spoiler alert, we're doing listener questions for a special segment. I'll ask this one now. Someone said, we love night swims. Was the helicopter so loud and annoying that it would be a deal breaker for you? If you are not doing any resort time really during the day and your time at the resort is to be there at night swimming.

M2: Well, let me say this. There were a bunch of boys playing with the beach ball in the main pool and they were having a ball and they didn't care at all. There were also people watching a movie. I mean, we watched a movie right before the fireworks and it didn't hear it. But at the time that we happened to hit the pool in like probably like 20 minutes before the fireworks and then like through the fireworks and 20 minutes after the helicopter was up there for like the full hour and it was a bum ski.

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm. Yeah, was it a deal breaker? No, but was it mildly annoying? Yeah.

M2: Honestly, I would say like if you love, nighttime swims is like your thing, it was really annoying. Depending on what time you take a nighttime swim, you know? It was irksome.

Mouselet A: It was annoying. It, it, yeah.

M1: Yeah, I guess if it's like a 7 p.m. swim, doesn't matter, but if you're swimming around the time of fireworks, that would bug me. I hate ambient noise like that. Yeah, we're more sensitive to noise like that. That type of noise drives us nuts. Mouselet C probably would not have even noticed that there was a helicopter in the sky. He couldn't care less about stuff like that. Same with probably those kids in the pool.

M2: I'll also say I was about to say me and you hate loud noises like that. It's like. Well part of it also, yeah it was like intrigue. We're like what is this?

Mouselet A: Yes, yes, that was the main thing. Maybe if we just knew what it was, I don't know, maybe we would ignore it better, but we were just wondering what the heck was going on.

M2: Also, wait one quick story before we get to our final like a final full day. There's this little girl in the pool I don't know how she'll do old she was maybe like a 12 year old but she was 12 actually she told us and we could tell that she like Wanted to talk she was like she was very sweet. I don't know where her parents were didn't see them the whole time She was in the hot tub and she kept being like we're like, ⁓ gosh, we're talking to each other We're like, is this? is this helicopter? She's like, ⁓ guys, it's the FBI agents coming for me. Whatever It's just like this very very sweet girl and she kept like kind of interjecting herself in our conversation. So we were being nice and finally she's like

Mouselet A: 12. She told us 12.

M2: How old are you guys? I don't know. We were like...

Mouselet A: Yeah, so how old are you is what she said. Yeah, yeah.

M2: And we said, was like, ⁓ I said, yeah, we're 30. And her jaw literally dropped. Her eyes popped out of her head. And she said, you look so much younger. And we didn't, well, it was. then I was like, I wonder how old she's like. ⁓ that's where I was like, does she think we were like 16? Because I'm like, I'm trying to think of Taryn's daughters.

M1: That's nice.

Mouselet A: Yeah.

M1: She said, my fellow 12 year olds. ⁓

Mouselet A: Yeah, yeah, like she think we're like 14. Like what did she think?

M2: Percy who's like eight and then Eva who's like 14 and I think Eva's a little bit older but I think Eva could kind of look at like us if she didn't know and think we were at least 25 but I also don't know if

M1: I when you're a kid, I feel like I had no concept of how old anyone was. I remember when mom would have friends that had adult children only. their kids were like in their twenties. I was like, ⁓ she's not a real mom. Yeah, you don't have kids. Which is like so dumb looking back, but I was like, what? Okay.

M2: Sharon, Sharon. You don't have kids. Yeah, I'm saying that. They had that alien, they would bring a green blow up alien to our house, Yep, you were such a little weenie.

Mouselet A: Bye, Reva. plan was to rope drop Everest and we had the Safari Lightning Lane, Isolating Lane, Kali River Rapids and Festival of the Lion King.

M2: So we show up to my chagrin ever so slightly late. Luckily no one rope drops Everest. Really like that's just like not really that much of a thing. So we knew that like there'd be some early entry people like on the ride, but there wouldn't be the like every other park guests wouldn't be in. So we got there at like 7.50 and this early entry was at 7.30. So we beat all of the like regular guests. We get to Everest. Actually, okay, Mousseline one. You're walking from the front of the park. You wanna get to Everest. Which way are you going?

M1: So I saw your story. would go not the way that you went. I would not walk around through Dino land. Even though, I think it's probably a toss up, but in my head, like cutting straight forward and then turning right would be quicker.

M2: ⁓ You would- What?! It's faster!

Mouselet A: Nobody did.

Mouselet A: And the ride is down. And we saw like a line though, ⁓ kind of forming outside of the queue. So like, okay. And then whatever we determined that we thought it was going to be coming up soon.

M2: They were test, they were testing it.

Mouselet A: So we got in the back of like the line and we said, all right, it's worth it, whatever. Long story short, the line's getting longer and longer and longer. And then we're there for a half hour. And then like all of a sudden, a huge piece of the line that was behind us just walked, like it walked to the front of right where you get into the queue. But then it became like a blob instead of ⁓ a organized line.

M2: And cut everyone. There was one party behind us and then we were the back of the line and we had been waiting there and there had been like a huge line behind us. We were like, all of us were like bonding in line. We were like, what?

Mouselet A: So then a cast member finally like kind of walked down and the family in front of us is like, what's going on? And he was like, well, there's no line because the ride's down. And I understand that, but like we had such an organized line formed that like you might as well just respect it and let us like get in the queue. But they were like, well, there's no official line. So then the people figured that out in the back of the line and then just became a blob right in front of the queue. of the entrance of the ride and then they just cut everyone, which was frustrating. But we still got on and it was good.

M2: It was annoying.

M1: Disney, like, there are times when that's how Disney does things on purpose, for example, after the Guardians pre-shows, when there's no longer a line. And it's just like, fill in any available space. I hate anything like that. It becomes so chaotic and crazy and you feel awkward, like, it's awful.

Mouselet A: same.

M2: ⁓ my God. Literally, that is every single morning I take the train to work and sometimes there's six cars and sometimes there's five cars. And when there's six cars, we form an orderly line and we all in a single file line board the train. And when there's five cars, it's like a mad house of everyone like, and I'm like not aggressive enough. I see these people every day. Sorry for another day. I had an experience the first time I commuted into Boston on the bus and I saw that woman every single day the rest of the time I lived in Boston. And so.

M1: You

M2: And so I'm such a pushover and people just cut in front of me and that's what it was here I'm like, I hate having to like elbow people out of the way. It was crazy

M1: Yeah, like I don't want to do that, but I also don't want like people to just be racing past me. It's like a lose lose. It just becomes a lose lose. Interesting.

Mouselet A: Yeah. Mm-hmm.

M2: Yeah. It was losers, but yeah, the ride went up. ended up getting the last row, which was a like a different experience, which was fun. ⁓ And then we were able to use our lightning lanes. So the biggest reason.

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M1: Wait, I have a tip forever. So you can ask on any roller coaster to wait for the front or the back. And if you've been on it a bunch of times and you haven't done that, you don't usually have to wait that long. I recommend, it's like a fun, in some roller coasters the back is better. Rockin' is one where the front is better. In most roller coasters, yeah, in most roller coasters the back is better. ⁓ And asking for the back, it's fun, recommend.

M2: Rock a roller coaster. Front is so much better. I remember when Disney started lowering you downhills, very specifically.

M1: Big Thunder Mountain, are you kidding me? Before Disney started lowering you down Big Thunder Mountain, the hill, it was so much better. Now if you're sitting in the front of Big Thunder Mountain, you might not like explicitly notice it if you haven't been on it that much. But if you're sitting in the front, like ride it in the front and then ride it in the back, it's a completely different experience. Okay, anyways, the rest of your lightning lanes.

M2: Yeah, it is. Okay, so to wrap it up. So we park hopped to Magic Kingdom later. And so one of the biggest things that we wanted to do was book a lightning lane for Tiana. So right after we scanned into our first lightning lane, which was the Kilimanjaro Safari, which was an amazing Safari, we then immediately booked Tiana's. The time was not ideal, but I booked it anyway. I was able to modify it to exactly the time we wanted. And that is basically how park hopping with lightning lane works. We're going to do a whole nother kind of segment on it. But basically, after you use your first one that you Pre-booked you can book another park and that made the lightning lane so worth it this day lightning lanes with park hopping We're so worth it the rest of the day at animal kingdom We did festival the lion king which mouse that I actually ended up really liking We saw this cute little boy be like the head of our lion section, and we both started crying. He made us so emotional for some reason We were emotional we're emotional this trip. ⁓ so we did that we did the Safari

Mouselet A: Mm-hmm.

M1: You guys were crying left and right on this trip. Yeah, yeah.

Mouselet A: It was... We were emotional this trip.

M2: And then we went and changed and did Cali River Rapids, which our family did last year in May. And we got wet. Not like what just happened to me and Mel Ceday. We literally got so wet that our shirts were 100, we changed FYI, we hadn't changed our clothes. 100 % saturated, 100%.

Mouselet A: I genuinely don't know what we would have done if we didn't have a change, like a change of clothes. And it was warm, sunny, it was hot. we weren't immediately cold, but I felt like when we went down that a wave came up and went whoosh. It like literally did. It was crazy.

M2: Bought new clothes. Bought new clothes.

M1: Well, it did, because it did.

M2: I got it on video. took my GoPro on.

M1: It's interesting to me that Disney does that. other than like a 12 year old boy who's like, this is crazy. Who wants to get that level of wet?

Mouselet A: Who wants that? Like, we enjoyed it because we were hyping ourselves up. We were like, were prepared, we had our change. But when you don't know that and you think, ⁓ cute, fun, a little ride, you might get a little bit wet. You're right, like, who wants that?

M2: That wet. That wet.

M1: Yeah Like who, like on Splash Mountain, it's like, how wet am I gonna get? Some people don't really get wet. Some people do get decently wet, but it's kind of like a, ⁓ my gosh, ⁓ Callie is just like, ⁓ okay, I just jumped in a pool.

M2: It's like if Callie was at, literally, I was gonna say if Callie was at like Typhoon Lagoon, I'd be like, that kinda makes sense. Like, so yeah, we got soaked. We went and changed. We went to the Rainforest Cafe, which was actually such a vibe. Peach, so nostalgic. It was so fun.

Mouselet A: Literally. Yup. Peech. I want it to become our tradition that anytime we're in Animal Kingdom, we have to go to the Rainforest Cafe. How does everyone feel about that?

M2: I knew she was hitting that.

M1: That's a Gnar.

M2: It was actually such a vibe. was so fun. ⁓ We were seated under the magic mushroom, which wasn't ideal. I would have rather been seated near like the elephant or gorillas, but all in all, we ended up liking it. Little more adult, huge portion.

Mouselet A: It was so fun.

M1: Little more adult under the magic mushroom, of course. Naturally, naturally, yeah.

Mouselet A: For us, the adults.

M2: Naturally it was really really fun and then we went into animal kingdom and we'll talk about this in a minute, but we got an ice cream sandwich and Yep, and then we park hopped to magic and Yeah magic was a good time. We did Tiana's space Mountain We had a Tron booked and we booked a bunch of other lightning lanes that we just didn't end up using because we had dinner at the Plaza It was

Mouselet A: The viral one. Hall of Presidents.

M2: with the hall of presidents, which was a peach weirdly. It was just like spur of the moment. No, no, was fine. It was like we were just there and we're like, you know what? We were feeling liberty. We wanted some liberty square time. We were filled with liberty square time. We wanted some Mrs. Time, as I like to say. If you know, if you know, know.

Mouselet A: Let's pop in. Mm-hmm.

M1: I don't.

M2: I just said I just told you that story today. I said we wanted to hold President's time. We wanted to miss his time, whatever.

M1: what does that do with Liberty Square?

Mouselet A: I don't know.

M1: Guys, the connection, if you're not one, if this isn't making sense to you, I know what she's talking about and it's not making sense to me either.

M2: All right, you're so just you're so sick. Hall of Presidents was a peach Tron. We almost had we not bought that lighting lane, we would have bailed on it because we're so tired. We were so tired. And so after we're exhausted, we shopped, we looked for stuff for the miclet. They had like nothing in his size. They didn't get anything. Well, there's literally we were like, do you have anything in this side? They were like, no, happened repeatedly on the trip. There's nothing for three months old. So ⁓

Mouselet A: So tired.

M1: Man.

Mouselet A: Like now. Yeah.

M2: Then we walked all the way back to the TTC from Magic to the Grand Floridian to the Polynesian to the TTC Which was which murdered me which murdered that that was was Like it was fun, but it took everything out of me

Mouselet A: per my request.

M1: Wow, I would have said, I would have said no. That's really far. And yeah, if you don't know, you can walk to the TTC from Magic Kingdom. Like if the lines are ever like horribly bad, you can walk.

M2: You can you can well. Just to say the Polynesian boat dock was closed and so we could have taken the we're going to take the boat to the poly and walk, but that boat dock was closed because of the wind and so it was just so you could walk or take the monorail or the ferry.

M1: ⁓ And yeah, you can do it, but it's a track. I can't believe you guys did that when you were so tired.

M2: It it was nice. We end up with 30,000 steps. I was wearing like flat shoes and I was like bull Okay, that was it was that was fun that we get to see the fireworks as we walked and then the next day We had nothing planned. We didn't know what we wanted to do and we said we woke up We knew we wanted to have like a lazy morning coffee relax pack up and then we literally were just like we have no idea what we want to do and so We went through every park. We knew we didn't want to go to animal because we had already done that but we went through every park

M1: You

M2: And we decided let's just do Epcot, get some vegetable food. It ended up being kind of a weird day. It was fun, but it did feel like we have like two hours to kill. Let's just pop in. Like that's what it felt like.

Mouselet A: Well, I did, yeah.

M1: Yeah, I think as a, I was gonna say as a tip for people who like may also be in this situation, we often go to Animal Kingdom on our last day. And because Animal Kingdom doesn't right now have as much to do, you can basically kind of do everything that you would maybe normally do in an Animal Kingdom day and then still leave to make a late afternoon flight. And you feel like you kind of had a full park day. We find though, if we don't plan that out and we're just kind of like, what should we do? Sometimes it feels like, yeah, you're filling time to fill time and it. It feels like you're always about to leave and doesn't necessarily feel like a full part of your trip.

Mouselet A: that you're just kind of watching the clock like we kept having to check like what do we have time for? But I will say I did enjoy talking earlier about like Epcot being a little, it was a little less crowded because we went to like the World Showcase first and it was more quiet. That's when we were like exploring Morocco and it was a little more chill and I did enjoy that because of that. So it was good. It was good.

M1: Yeah.

M2: It was pretty quiet. Yet if you don't want to do rides at up car, that's not as much your priority. Go to the world showcase first and kind of flop your day. The lines get shorter and world show or in future world world discovery, whatever you want to call those lands now ⁓ in the afternoon. So you can kind of do a flop and get some really good, more quiet world showcase time, which ended up being a huge peach for us. And that was our trip. Honestly, this was a different type of trip. If you're someone who kind of like us gets into a routine a lot, breaking free of that routine, I don't know how many people genuinely get into a routine. Honestly, I don't know but breaking free of that routine doing something different changing it up made it really fun and I also am so happy with the resort time we got so

Mouselet A: Great.

M1: We are gonna keep talking about the trip because we asked on Instagram ⁓ for some listener questions. If you don't follow us on Instagram, we periodically will do things like this that you guys can kind of tell us what you're curious about. So I'm going to be interviewing Mouselet2 and MouseletA with some of these questions. And we're gonna start with their stay at the Riviera. And each of them is going to share, based on a listener question, their favorite and least favorite thing about staying at the Riviera. Let's start with favorites. I feel like favorites are easier. You can kind of. Think about least favorites for a second. I'm gonna start with Moussela too. What was your favorite thing about staying at the Riviera?

M2: I love a lot of things, but I think my favorite thing was just the room. The room was exquisite, literally. It was just, the art was beautiful. It was so much space. It felt brand new. And so I think for me, the room was just like made the trip.

M1: And to be clear, Mouseletoo is able to stay in that room because of David's Vacation Club Rentals, renting DVC points. And so if you're considering staying at the Riviera or really any deluxe resort, you should look into that because the rooms at deluxe resorts, we always say ⁓ value resorts have like value level rooms, value level grounds. Moderate resorts have more deluxe level grounds, but still kind of value level rooms. And deluxe resorts have deluxe grounds and deluxe rooms. And the rooms at deluxe resorts are just so... so good especially the DVC villas so highly recommend checking them out. Mouselet A, what was your favorite thing about staying at the Riviera?

Mouselet A: I think my favorite thing had to be the food options. I just really enjoyed the petit café. I felt just so, ⁓ let me just go get some coffee down the lobby. And I liked the quick service and some of the sweets and sweets that they had. So I think I'm going to go with the food.

M2: Honorable mention for me goes to the Skyliner also. I just need to say that.

M1: A huge perk of, ⁓ yeah. A huge perk of the Riviera is that they have Le Petit Cafe, which is like a coffee pastry place. Most, even the luxury resorts, have just coffee at the quick service and they'll have a specialty latte or something, but the coffee game at Disney Resorts is really kind of meh. And Riviera is one of the exceptions to that. Okay, Mouselet2, what was your least favorite thing about staying at the Riviera?

M2: Yeah. I think, and this is something that someone mentioned who we were chatting to in the hall too, if anything, maybe just the size that it is a little bit smaller of a resort. I think you feel like I like to be in proximity to Caribbean beach because we could walk around there. But if you want to go for a walk around Riviera, there's not that much to walk. Like the grounds are beautiful, but it does feel small. ⁓ And then the gym, the gym was just too small and it didn't, it was just didn't suit my fancy.

M1: now today.

Mouselet A: I think the subtleness of the theming, I understand that's what the point was, but I think I wanted a little bit more. Like I was explaining to Mouselet too, when we were walking around Caribbean beach, like the background music is the beachy kind of music. I just felt like as soon as we walked into the Riviera area, we should have heard some like Parisian music. Like I just want a little bit more theming. I know that's not what they wanted. So they're doing exactly what they wanted, but I want a little bit more theming.

M2: That's a good one.

M1: Yeah, I think that's one of the biggest things that people feel about Riviera. Okay, our other Riviera question. Would you say that the Riviera is kid-friendly?

M2: Yeah, that's a good one. I mean that main family pool has like this incredible splash pad area. It has a water slide as all sorts of kids activities. There's a kids room that has like coloring and crafts and like the resort activities. All of those things are kid friendly. That being said, it's not the most kid friendly deluxe resort. In fact, other than the yacht club, maybe I would say it's the least kid friendly resort ⁓ or just like a different vibe for for children. I don't have kids of my own. Mousel one only has a baby, so I don't even think she can like get into the kid friendly. I think. the Polynesian is.

M1: It's not, it's not not kid friendly. Like kids are perfectly fine there. I just don't know that it has that much appeal, as much appeal for kids as maybe other places.

Mouselet A: Correct. Correct.

M2: Yeah Yes, I think that's a good way to say it. Like the Polynesian feels very kid friendly or like there's a lot of resorts that I'm like this feels kid friendly. Yeah, this one I'm like, like my coworker has like a seven year old and if they were like, ⁓ well like is this, I'd be like, I don't know if this is like the place to bring your kid. I think your kid would be fine, but I bet your kid, if you're picking something for your kid, this probably spots it like more.

Mouselet A: Kids, yeah, kids and families. Wilderness Lodge.

M1: Yeah.

Mouselet A: Yeah. Yeah.

M1: On the contrary, if you're planning an adult-focused trip, I Riviera is one of the best places to stay. And I think a girl-stripped Riviera, you would love it. It just has that feeling. Okay, moving on to some parks questions. This is mostly from MouseletTube, but Mouselet, feel free to chime in. What were your thoughts on the plant-based options at Flower and Garden?

M2: ⁓ great. Like 10 out of 10 honestly if any of any of the festivals I think that this one has the best plant-based option like definitely festival holidays food and wine is some of the worst there are so many options they have the garden graze which is Like eight six eight or something different locations. You can go around the world chokeys that has vegetarian vegan options ⁓ There are really good options. They had this really good poke bowl But you can get it without any fish and that was excellent me and mouse that a shared that there was there's a lot of stuff that also have ⁓ Dairy in it, but not like me and I do I do eat dairy But I thought of any festival it had the best options like I could have basically anything I wanted so very impressed overall and I got multiple garden graze Stamps and I will be bringing it back in May to get the rest of them and get the special dessert

M1: Okay next is generally not just at the festival. What was the best thing you ate and the worst thing you ate? Which is easier to start with? I don't even know. I almost feel like worst is easier to start. Okay best. All right, now today you go first this time. What's the best thing that you ate anywhere?

M2: Melsaday, think best. ⁓

Mouselet A: ⁓ what's coming to mind right away is on the last day, the chips a dip that we had, it was so good at the festival, festival food. ⁓ yeah.

M2: I was gonna say the same thing. It was three dips. It was like a pimento, some type of cheese dip, a French onion dip, and like a feta dip.

Mouselet A: Like a fet- a- a fetter, yeah.

M1: You love a dip, Maslow too, you love a dip.

M2: We both love dips, actually. We're dip dip girls.

Mouselet A: We, yeah, we're dip girls and it was really good. I highly recommend that. think we, yeah, we loved that.

M2: Yeah.

M1: Okay, and what was the worst thing that you ate?

M2: It was. I mean all in all I think most of the food I had was pretty good so like nothing specific comes to mind and so I think because nothing specific comes to mind and I generally enjoyed everything I ate I could only have one thing that I say that is my least favorite and it was my vegan burger with a gluten-free bun and a vegan chili on top from the plaza that being said that meal was fine that was completely fine I would get it again it was a thousand times better than anything I could get at Cosmic Race for like a veggie burger but like It was the worst thing that I ate. It still was fine. It was good. It was good-ish. It was decent.

Mouselet A: Yeah, I think my least favorite meal, which again was fine, but it was nothing special, was a Caesar salad from prime time. just like wasn't super hungry, ⁓ wanted something light. So I got a Caesar salad. It was very much just like iceberg lettuce. Again, it was fine, just nothing special.

M2: She felt sick a little bit, yeah.

M1: Okay, all right, inquiring minds want to know, you sort of touted that you were trying the viral ice cream sandwich at Animal Kingdom, and then you didn't say anything about it. So why and how was it?

Mouselet A: Wow. You know why? Because we wanted to make a reel. We wanted to make a reel about it.

M2: That's weird that we didn't say anything about it. Mama's only got it hand. I was probably occupied with something else.

M1: waiting for the reel and then it was just like we're trying it ⁓ the line's really long and then it was like goodbye Enwo Kingdom and I was like where is the review?

Mouselet A: I... I actually, yeah, we didn't even record us live eating it. I don't know why we messed that up a little bit. ⁓ I actually on.

M1: Wah, wah, wah, wah. Well, I recommend you putting a reel up because I think people on Instagram would want to know.

M2: No, no, I think I have a video of you eat. I have a video of her eating it Wait, that's wait. This is so weird because I swear that I took a video of it And maybe I just didn't post it in the story because I remember specifically No, I remember specifically you would already taken a bite and I was like no Take a bite from that same bite. So people think that you're taking just like your first bite. Otherwise, it's like what's this review?

Mouselet A: You did not. I posted it on Sugar Shop.

M1: Well you should put together a little reel because people want to know but sister sisters listeners can get the breaking scoop. What did you think?

Mouselet A: Breaking news. I will say a lot of people were asking me on Sugar Shop and I was responding to any message I got. ⁓ I liked it. The... There we go. On video. There's a video. ⁓ I liked it. The line, I think this is important, the line moved quick. Very quick. So don't be deterred by the line. It was quick. ⁓ I thought that the... It was good.

M1: Mmm, there's a video of her.

Mouselet A: I don't think it was the best dessert I had on property and the brownie kind of overpowers the cookie dough and I was a little more excited to try the cookie dough piece. So it really just tasted more like the brownie bottom, but.

M2: I feel like the cookie dough was too ⁓ subtle.

Mouselet A: Yeah, like you don't really taste it the way I thought you would. I still would get it. I still think it's worth trying and I still enjoyed it. just, it's not the best dessert on property.

M2: I think I thought it was good because it's something different. Like, yeah, you can get a Mickey bar or a Mickey sandwich, but you can't really get like an ice cream sandwich in that way. And for that, I think it was good. And when I think you would really like it, cause you love cookie dough, I bet you'll scrape the, I bet you'll scrape the, all you like brownies too, but you'll scrape the brownies.

Mouselet A: Yes, it's different.

M1: I love cookie dough. Bye bye, I love brownies. I would probably split it in half so I could have like brownies separate, cookie dough separate, you know?

M2: I thought it was good. It was good. wasn't like... ⁓ It tasted like soft serve vanilla ice cream. It wasn't like a deluxe treat, but it was a good treat and I would get it again if it was there every single trip when I get it. Maybe.

Mouselet A: Yeah. It was good though, like, yes, it was good. Me too.

M1: Well, if you're if you need a piece of content to post I recommend posting your review of that because people we were all Feeding for it and we didn't get anything and I thought it meant you like hated it or something Okay, the last question about the parks was kind of specific But someone asked why did you decide on just an evening in Hollywood but like more of a solid half day in Animal Kingdom?

Mouselet A: Honestly, it was good.

M2: I was like, I'm dangling the carrot. All right. It was kind of how the schedule worked out. Mouselet A was really, really, really excited to go to Animal Kingdom. She kept like just wanting to have an animal, good Animal Kingdom day. We didn't spend a lot of time on our last trip at Animal Kingdom. We just popped it in the morning. And on our last trip, we spent a lot of time in Hollywood Studios. So we kind of just like did a trade off. The other part of it was, you know, just fitting everything in. We did not want to do Epcot on a weekend, so we knew we to do Epcot Friday. ⁓ And then just the issue with the lightning lanes and how Hollywood is so slammed. So. I think it's gonna leave me wanting more Hollywood time. I'm craving some Hollywood time.

Mouselet A: Yeah, I love Hollywood Studios, but ⁓ yeah, a big part of it was that it was just the best way we could fit it in when we had just like an evening on Thursday because we were working remote. So it just like kind of made sense. And I did want to really enjoy Animal and take my time, take our time in Animal this trip. So yeah, that's kind of why.

M1: But yeah, as a tip, if you're considering sort of following Muscle To and Muscle Day schedule, if you're gonna do a late half day at Hollywood, prepare to do kind of almost no rides. Like it's gonna be really busy, so.

M2: Yeah. All right. The last ones, let's go kind of rapid fire because I got to go to bed soon to wake up for work. Favorite pin trading spot. There were a lot of pin boards out. think I'm going to just say, even though we didn't find a pin on it, there was a pin trash can out at Animal Kingdom, which had a ton of pins. And that was really, really fun. Yeah. So that was mine.

M1: That's always so fun. Okay, what was your favorite pin that you traded for?

M2: I think the set of hidden Mickey pins for me was the one I was most excited about. Mousadai. Christopher Robin.

Mouselet A: Those were good. I'm just, I'm going to stick with the Christopher Robin pin. I just really like it. It's a good size and it's really cute.

M2: It was cute.

M1: What was your daily step count?

M2: It was about $27,000 on average each day. Which is, we pushed ourselves. That murdered me, I told you.

M1: That walk that walk from Magic Kingdom to GTC. Okay, what did you get for souvenirs? What was your like top souvenir?

Mouselet A: That put us over the edge. Pits. We got a lot of pits.

M2: We got like 15 pins. But it's all budget that were for you too. We got a couple of other things, but I don't, can't reveal anything yet. Cause we got some stuff for M1. I got some little like key chain type things. I got a pair of star wars ears and I feel like those were really special. And then I got a shirt and mouse that I got a sweatshirt. It sounds like a lot. It sounds like a lot. It wasn't.

M1: Okay.

Mouselet A: Yeah. ⁓ my gosh, that's right. Yeah. Madeleine pins.

M1: Yeah, it sounds like a ton. ⁓ Speaking of souvenirs, our last question, why doesn't Mousetay wear ears? Someone asked.

Mouselet A: I think mainly because I don't find them comfortable. would just like, they just don't find them too comfortable for me. I only like them if my hair is down. I don't like the way they look on me if my hair is pulled back in any way. So that's a part of it too. Yep.

M2: You don't like how they look. feel like that's really why.

Mouselet A: My peach, my peach was being in this past weekend being in warm weather. Can that count? I really, it was really nice to get a, no, no, no, no, no. My pit was that is that I was really, really, really tired. I'm coming back from the trip. So it's hard to start the week being tired, but it's okay.

M2: Yep. Is your pit that it's about to be cold and rainy like.

M1: Yeah, so nice Disney trips you need like a vacation from your vacation. Honestly, I had a really tough weekend with everything that's happened. My pit was just, was, yeah, no pits for me right now because that was a huge pit. My peaches, I have a mini pit and a regular pit. My mini pit is that my engagement ring and my wedding ring are finally fitting my finger again. Sorry, peach, peach, peach, a mini peach, a tiny peach, my engagement ring and my wedding ring finally fit my finger again.

M2: Skip your pet. That was your pit. That's a peach mini pit.

Mouselet A: Peach, peach, peach, peach.

M1: They're a little tight, they leave a mark, but like you can get them on. So that's nice. And then my bigger peach is that Mouselet C and I found an area to go on like a nice hike thing today with the Miklet. ⁓ It was so nice out. It was like 70 degrees here. just, but there is not even a single bud on the trees. Like it is dead as a doornail outside. And I'm like, when are we going to get some greens? It's spring. ⁓ we have one daffodil in our front, in our front like of the house. And I'm so excited by it. Okay. Fact of the day, Mouselet 2.

M2: ⁓ things are coming alive over here. My fact of the day is about a fact I told Mel's today on Cali River Rapids, which is that one of the original concepts of Cali River Rapids was that they were going to have real tigers along the side of it, but it proved that's a very difficult thing to do and they didn't end up doing it. Well, yeah, I don't know about that.

M1: That would have been crazy. Okay, mouse today.

Mouselet A: My fact is that when you're exiting Guardians of the Galaxy, the music that's playing in that exit is actually music that they considered to be in the soundtrack for the actual ride. So when you listen to that music, it kind of all makes sense. has like the same vibe because they were considering putting those songs in the ride.

M1: My fact of the day is that obviously the Tree of Life has tons and tons of animal carvings, but at the bottom of the Tree of Life, there is a carving of a gorilla and a plaque commemorating Jane Goodall, who was a famous researcher who worked with gorillas. She got to actually come to the park before it opened. And I feel like it made more sense when it was there, when it was the Bugs Life. It kind of doesn't make any sense now with the way that they have the queue working for the Zootopia show, but they're not gonna take it away. It's a commemorative plaque.

M2: It's it for sure.

M1: but it's actually really cool and it's a giant gorilla and it's very missed by people. So you should take a look next time you're walking into that theater.
