M2: Welcome to Papa Mouselet and Mouselit Three, Mouselit C and Mama Mouselit to the podcast. We are doing 10 trivia questions and seeing which team can win. My team is Papa Mouselet and Mouselit Three. M1: And my team is Mama Mouselit and Mouselit C. And these were all trivia questions that we were given during our scavenger hunt. Okay. I am going to start asking the first question to Papa Mouselit and Mouselit Three. And they have as much time as they need to answer it. If they don't get it, then my team of Mouselit C and Mama Mouselit will have the chance to steal. Are you ready for your question? M2: But if they guess it wrong, then your team can steal as well. M1: Okay, here we go. The first question is, where could you find the fraction ten over six in the parks? They're thinking guys, they're thinking. M2: Doo doo doo. You can take a guess if you don't know. Also hint, these are either from Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. They're only from Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. The teacups. Ding ding ding. M1: That is correct. The 10-6 is the number that is in the Mad Hatter hat. M2: Woo Did you know did you know that? Yes. Okay, Papa Mouse, did you know that? I knew that it was I knew that it was from Alice in Wonderland, but I could not figure out what attraction had Alice in Wonderland in it. Okay. M1: Father must have been. ⁓ M2: This for ⁓ the even team. ⁓ What eatery is inspired by Robin Hood's father? What eatery is inspired by Robin Hood's father? M1: Mouse Let Sea seems to have no idea, and Mamma Mousel is pointing at Mouse Let Sea in hopes that perhaps he'll know. M2: Robin Hood, Robin Hood Riding through the Robin Hood, Robin Hood. M1: Here's a hint. This is an eatery in magic kingdom. M2: Mama Mouselet? Otherwise my team will have a chance to steal. Do you wanna take a guess? M1: I see you. Do you have anything to guess? I can picture where it is, I just don't know the name. Where is it? Okay. Wait, wait, wait. They're conferring. They're conferring. What is there to possibly confer about? M2: Alright. ⁓ they're conferring. They're conferring. 'Cause I think they n presenti what is his father's name? M1: Okay. Go ahead, Mouse. Let's see. We're gonna guess the friars nook. Wow. ⁓ M2: Wow. How on earth did you get that? That's correct. I'm shocked. Where is it? It's over in Fantasyland near Pooh. Yeah, we've gotten tater tots from there before. Did I serve ice cream? Yeah. Like the Jason. Alright, question three. M1: That is correct. Yeah. Yes, sort of. Okay. Question three. This is a question for the odd team. M2: Sorry, it's one to one. M1: Where could you find the first Disney villain in the Walt Disney Company? Hint, it's not who you think it is. That's what was written on our paper. Where could you find where could you find the first ⁓ Disney villain in the Walt Disney Company? M2: Repeat, please. M1: Hint it's not who you think it is. Now I'll slip three, talk us through. M2: Let's start with this question. Who do you think it is? I think you're thinking of who you not who it's not. No, I'm thinking of My mind is blank right now. So I'm I'm I'm starting at zero. What was the first ⁓ here's I'll help my team. What was the first kind of set of what first came out? What was the first Disney movie come out? Snow White? Snow White is the first full length feature film, but not the first. M1: Yeah. And so that's probably who you think it is, the evil queen, but it's not. Who was the OG? M2: What was before Snow White? Short film. M1: Who was kind of the original Disney character? And who's that character's villain? M2: I was gonna say, ⁓ do you say Papa Mousel? Steamboat Willy, but it's Okay, yeah. He looks like Goofy's like ⁓ Goofy Counter Goofy's counterpart. He breaks through the screen in that short film that's always been Apcot. He used to have a bathroom in Toontown. What is that awful guy's name? Go ⁓ M1: Where can you find him now? M2: Mickey's it's ⁓ not Mickey's Runaway Rail. You can guess that. That's a good guess. That's a good guess. He guessed Runaway Railway, and it's a good guess. it's wrong. ⁓ I wasn't you locked in my answer, I was not done yet. I think I had given it away. M1: That is a good guess. Yeah. Okay, do you guys know where you can find this person or even this person's name? M2: Magic Kingdom. Papa Mouse has no idea. Mouse the three, any final guesses or are we gonna clean the board? No one gets this one. His name is like dumpster or Ralph or something. It's like awful. It's something like very ⁓ rusty. Okay, and where would you find that Magic Kingdom? This is your final guess. ⁓ M1: Anything else? Okay. Dumpster around M2: At a pinboard. You can find him at Pete Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus. ⁓ Storybook Circus. His name is Pete. His name is Pete. All right. It is still one-to-one. Question four. Wonderland has the dodo bird, but Magic Kingdom has the M1: Wait. His name is Pete. M2: This is for Mouselet C and Mama Mouselet. Wonderland has the dodo bird, but Magic Kingdom has the Mama Mouse Let? M1: Repeat the question one more time, please. Wonderland has the dodo bird. Magic Kingdom has the M2: But Magic Kingdom has the blank. M1: The question was technically written as blank bird when we did it. Because that's what was written in the question when we did it. The blank bird. M2: I knew you were trying to give that away. M1: Tiki bird? Did you is that what you were gonna say? ⁓ no. What were you gonna say? I thought that was our team's guess. Okay. Yeah. M2: You can't say It's the ste it is not the tiki bird, it is the Parrot. The parrot bird? Is that your actual guess? Yes. Seriously guys? M1: Okay, Papa Mouse Lit, what's your favorite color? M2: Orange bird. The orange bird. Wow, alright. Still one one. No one got that one. M1: Yes, very question five. ⁓ just context, again, this is all based around the movie of Descendants, which took place in a place called Oridon. You don't need to understand that really for this. The bells of Oradon ring, but this one ⁓ doesn't. M2: And this is in Magic Kingdom. M1: Papa has a guess? M2: Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Liberty Bell. Woo! Ding ding ding. That's correct. The Liberty Bell does not ring. All right. Two to one. My team is just taking the lead. M1: Woo! That is pressure. M2: Okay, this is at Hollywood At location, you can find two guards with spears. At this location, you can find two guards spears. ⁓ M1: Miles too selected this question. This question is hard. M2: I don't I don't even think that this is that hard. Two guards with M1: Nice. M2: spears. Do do do do do do do ⁓ do do do do do also the next one is so hard for my FYI. So M1: They're conferring. Mama Nasa a thought. M2: Okay, what is it? M1: So over where lights camera cars used to be, there's a new ride. Yeah, that one. And it's there's guards there for that ride. M2: Light smotter action. What's it themed after? Can you describe the ride in any way other than just M1: You walk through a t big long tunnel before you get to the other side. Are you describing Galaxy's Edge? Could be. I went on it once. I stood in line and then M2: Okay. ⁓ boo. Okay. And that is not where the guards are. Alright, my My team can steal any guesses? Hollywood Studios. M1: Two guards with spears, the other team has a chance to steal. This is such a M2: Mama Mouse had just guessed Star Wars and that answer was wrong. It is not in Galaxy's Edge. Indiana Jones. ⁓ And last chance to steal Mama Mouselit and Mouselit C. Any guesses? Two guards with spears. ⁓ No, they're not people. M1: That's nice. Yeah. These like Are these like people guards or like we're talking like statues? Robots. Robots. Robot guards. Robot guards with spears. Okay, no one knows. ⁓ do you have a guess? ⁓ I'm just holding. Is that right? No, no, that's a Navcon. Never mind. Alright. ⁓ M2: Well, I don't know if they're robots. ⁓ do you know? Green Army Men, Toy Story Mania. So close. It's actually the two guards outside of Alien Swirling Saucers that are from Pizza Planet from the Toy Story movie in Toy Story Land. M1: This was such an This was such a niche question. But maybe someone listening got it. Okay, next up. Is it toughy toughie for the odd team? Where would your favorite villains have a meal in Hollywood studios? Hint. When the sun sets, you'll be close. M2: The this one's very hard, so And the answer is not Sunset Boulevard FYI. I was about to say, okay, so s where what are our favorite villains? Have a meal. M1: Yep, this is so hard. When the sun sets, you'll be close. Testing King. M2: Well, the brown the brown derby is near Sunset Boulevard, so could be that. It is it definitely a restaurant? No. Is it is it a restaurant that that that guests eat at? No. So it's not brown derby. When the sun sets, you'll be closed. When the sun sets, you'll be close. I'm repeating the question to fill the audio gap of me thinking about the answer to this question. Papa Mouse Let, help me out. Anything? Got nothing. All right. Where where would this generally be when the sun sets? Let's start with that. What land could this be in? Any guesses? West. The western land of M1: Okay. M2: What land would this be in? M1: Sunsets. M2: What land would this be in? Sunsets. Sorry, are we in Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studio? We're in Hollywood Studios. Okay. All right, passing the Galaxy's Edge. Okay. Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Media, Echo L Echo Lake. What's Echo Lake? Based off Echo Lake, something? Sunsets. Yeah, Sunset Boulevard is sort of on that already. Okay, yep, yep. It's on Sunset Boulevard. ⁓ Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Sister Sisters Vacation Edition. M1: Okay. If you're watching on video, you might say, I don't recognize your backgrounds. We are in Rehoboth Beach at our parents' beach house. W yes, we're in the same house. We cannot really exactly figure out how to record from the same room. So Mousel too is upstairs in her room. I am in Papa Mouselett's office. Does everybody like this? It to me M2: ⁓ We did figure out in fact how don't put that on camera. We did figure out how to record together. ⁓ but we had to like hold the microphones. They're like huge. It just it we we will figure it out at some point, but because like ninety-nine percent of the episodes we do are separate, like it's not worth it, isn't worth it, as Mouse Leday would say. So anyway, we are on vacation. Because of that, this is a little bit of a a quicker episode. I mean, I think it'll still M1: Okay, mouse the three. M2: I'm just going for it. Do you have anything? Tower of terror, villains. M1: Yeah. Okay. ⁓ I think that you can have the point. Yes. In the basement of Tower of Terror, when you exit the ride, there is theming wise an abandoned restaurant called the Sunset Room. I told you this is an impossible question. That closed when the hotel closed. It's even harder. M2: ⁓ we might give it to him. M1: Honestly it just didn't look good. It yeah. M2: What was it? M1: This was just this was just easier. M2: ⁓ d M1: We hope, we hope. M2: Did you guys know this? Did you know about the sunset room before? I got this one. Yes, I knew about it. that was probably the hardest one, but I wanted everyone listening to have a chance to get that too. All right, You'll still get your money's worth, your ears worth, whatever. But ⁓ okay, let's get into a little bit of chit chat, which is the fact that Halloween is coming and I'm not okay with that. It's too early. It's too early. M1: Okay. M2: Final three questions. Where can you find the fastest? ⁓ this is so easy. This is so unfair. Where can you find fastest tunk of junk in the galaxy? ⁓ M1: Okay s so Disney like made so Dis it's currently halfway to the holidays, meaning like Christmas, which we'll talk about in the news segment. But in addition to the fact that Disney's doing all this halfway to the holiday stuff, they also just posted like big news Halloween merch is about to hit the Disney store. I think it might have already some of it released. ⁓ so they already did that. Then we were talking it's we were M2: Fastest hunk of junk. M1: Hooker Junk being the Millennium Falcon in Galaxy's Live. Yes. Okay, this is it. M2: ⁓ that was too easy. If my team got that would have been so much harder. They got that. All right. Final two, everybody. M1: talking to a friend also who lives down in Orlando who told us the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party is August 7th this year. ⁓ it's three, two. Your team has three. My has What huge thing, singular is hidden in the ground at Hollywood Studios? M2: It's crazy. Like I like Halloween. I'm not I don't like I'm not obsessed with Halloween. I like Halloween. I like fall. I like autumn. I like Halloween. it's August seventh is in fact I think August in general is too early, but I guess you could say like end of August, maybe. M1: I don't I don't love Halloween. Halloween's fine. August seventh is pure is very much summer. Toot doot doot doot doot doot doot toot doot Hollywood Studios. M2: ⁓ at what at what park? Okay, so not King Arthur Sword. Huge. Not that even if it wasn't Magic Kingdom. ⁓ Hidden in the Ground. Are we sure it's not hidden underwater? Thinking of that dino. Gertie is not hidden. What is hidden in the ground? M1: I agree, completely. M2: Th it's ridiculous. It's it's crazy. It's too early. They obviously like have a huge amount of demand for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, and that's why they're doing it. ⁓ we're actually not doing not so scary this year, which is so strange for us, so different. But I will say, I wouldn't mind a break. Like it's more special when we take a break. M1: Yeah. Yep. Yep. I am sure you Last year we took a break from the Christmas party. So we only did Jollywood nights last year because again, Jollywood is newer, so we haven't done it as many times. And I feel like Jollywood is a little bit more of an event that's like I mean, if you listen to this podcast, you know because this is basically a Jollywood Stand podcast. But Jollywood is ⁓ a little bit more of like a the night is what you make it type thing. So you can kind of go and have like unique experiences at the same event. M2: Anything for my team? Five. No. Four? Three? Two? One. All right. M1: Off to my team. What huge thing is hidden in the ground? M2: This is a Jollywood fan club, yeah. Is that your guess? M1: Conversing with students. Well, is it is is the Hollywood Studios in Orlando only or is this like any Yes, Hollywood Studios in Orlando. Wait, wait, wait. ⁓ Indiana Jones is back, huh? Mm-hmm. Indiana Jones was that your guess? Hidden in the back. Is it the ground though? M2: Like dancing and drinking and like yeah, d getting dressed up in a special thing. Like Very Merry is very specific to like watch the show, do this, go get the cookies. I mean, I love that selfie song. I will say it. That song's literally amazing. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up. The sh it's so good. But M1: Yeah. M2: There's only one Hollywood Studios. Amen. M1: Yeah. M2: Is that your guess? M1: It's like and dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun And I see you Donald and I'm over the moon something like that. ⁓ but anyways, very merry and M2: Du ⁓ du We like Daisy Duck sparts specifically. Five four three counting. M1: Wait, what again? What large thing is hidden in the ground at Hollywood City? How about all those spears that come out at Indiana Jones? M2: The moon. Yeah. ⁓ it's so good. M1: not so scary are very like it's the same every year. It's less of like it is what you make it and it's just kind of like the offerings are exactly the same. So we took a break from Very Merry last year. This year we're in theory taking a break from Not So Scary, but I wanted to ask for people who are planning and can maybe only do one, would you do not so scary or would you do Very Merry? M2: Large thing. Okay, it is not Indiana Jones. ⁓ Can I seal? Yeah. The the maleficent dragon at Phantasmic. Okay. No final chance M1: I I don't yeah I was talking about ⁓ They don't know. M2: That was Mouse Lit Three. The answer is there's a giant hidden Mickey in the main hub area on Hollywood Boulevard by the Chinese theater that was there from the start. It's not there as much, but that is what's hidden in the ground. Final mouse lit three. Stop hitting the boo button. The final question for this team, this will tie it up. Where would you find a camera the size of a wall at Hollywood Studios? Where would you find a camera the size of a large wall at Hollywood Studios? Okay, I have to say, although I like Very Mary a lot, I would do not so scary because I think that the Christmas offerings day to day in the parks are stronger and you don't need to do Very Mary to get like that Christmas feeling versus Halloween. I feel like you're not seeing it quite as much and it's such like the pooperade is so good and I I mean I'm not one for trick or treating, but I know a lot of people are and like the costumes. I think, yeah, my choice would be not so scary. M1: Yeah. Specifically the size of a wall, not just a big camera, a camera the size of a wall. Any idea? At Hollywood Studios. At Hollywood Studios. Yeah, I think Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I'm sure many people feel the same way. So I think like doing a full out holiday trip at Disney, like once in your life or something, is really fun and worth it because Christmas is so magical. Being at Disney for Christmas time, not Christmas Day necessarily, but Christmas time, is so magical. And very merry is like a part of that. However, for more of like an every year type of trip, as someone who doesn't really go super hard M2: Enough hints. They know the question. Yeah. M1: At Hollywood Studios. M2: It's the final question. M1: If it's the size of a wall and it's gonna be a camera, it's gotta be like maybe Toy Story. Or it could it be over your Muppets, the old Muppets. I know. May I think you're on the right track of Toy Story. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So is that your guess? Yes. And and I would not have been tricked by that because of course you would think Toy Story. Halloween in my like regular life. Not so scary is a really fun time to like dress up and get to kind of like celebrate Halloween in a way that I wouldn't normally get to, I would say. Okay, but now M2: Muppets is demolished, so we wouldn't do anything there. So no worries. Agreed. Yeah. And then I think Jollywood versus Very Merry, I would say I prefer Jollywood, but I think most people and families and things generally would prefer very merry. And I think if it's your first time and you're choosing one, choose Very Merry. Unless you're an adult of like a specific genre. Not Toy Story. It is not Toy Story. My team can steal a camera the size of a wall at Hollywood Studios. I'm getting blank stares from my team. Is anyone on listening to this podcast, does anybody know? M1: I agree. We have yes. And and you'll sort of know yourself, I think, if that's you. ⁓ we've talked about Jollywood so much, so if you want to hear about that, we have older episodes, but we have a trip planned once again. This trip is pre-planned. Once again, it falls on the first night of Jollywood. We have gone to the first night of Jollywood every year since Jollywood started. Not by choice. We don't try to go to the first nights of things. And you know what? think you should reveal it. M2: ⁓ Well, a camera the size of a wall. Hang on, give me a moment. Hang on. Camera the size of a wall. Five, four, three, two, one, get your guess in. Streets of America. Have been demolished many years ago. It is the dark room. It's the first gift shop you see when you enter the main area of Hollywood Boulevard. All right. ⁓ sorry, where's the camera the size of a there's a gigantic? Yes, it's it's themed after A huge camera. I was gonna say we don't try to do we don't even attempt to do the first night of things. It just it doesn't make sense for us to try to do it. ⁓ so we don't, but we are. And we're going to the first night of very merry if we go to that too, which I don't know. I have to see what the offerings are, which actually brings us into a little bit of news. ⁓ so this is a great segue. M1: Yeah. There is a big camera. Should we start with that then? M2: Okay, bef ⁓ yeah, let's start with that. Sure. It's halfway to the holidays, which means that we're halfway to the holidays and Disney has kind of been doing some like teasers on social media of like new things coming and also made some announcements and some of them are kind of controversial. M1: Yes, outside of it. Outside of it. In the wall, yes. M2: The size of a wall. Yep. Congratulations to my team for taking the win. I can't find a cheer. Sorry. No cheer. Woo. Thank you to our guests. M1: Yeah. Thank you to all our special guests, Mouselit Three, Papa Mouselit, Mouselit C, and Mama Mouselit. Well Well, they sort of did this whole like stockings motif on social media, if you saw, and on their website, where they had a Mickey stocking, a mini stocking, a Kermy stocking, and a figment stocking. It also was awkward because they basically dropped the stockings the day before they were doing the full announcement. ⁓ the Figment stocking had a dreidel in it. I guess whatever was showing on the dreidel was like incorrect Hebrew. M2: if you're listening, tell us if you beat them or not. M1: Yep. And now everyone say goodbye to our special guests. M2: Bye, thank you. It was the Hebrew it was the letters, yeah, they messed up M1: Yes, and they did it wrong, which is kind of like ⁓ what? Yeah. Right. So they had to take the figment stocking down. M2: There are two there are two letters on it. How on earth do you mess that up? Sorry, like come on. M1: ⁓ you can rearrange your grid on Instagram now. So I kept assuming, ⁓ it's fine, they took it down, they're gonna put it back up and just rearrange the grid, and then the website will have it. No, they just never put it back up. They just like did the announcement without it. But anyways, they were kind of like really hyping things, I felt like. So I was like, maybe we're finally gonna get something new. ⁓ no. Kermy was ⁓ Jollywood, Figment was Festival of the Holidays, Mickey was very Merry Christmas Party, and then Mini was for what's happening in Disneyland. Nothing new. The only really big new thing is that they're taking something away. M2: The gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. If you don't know the Grand Floridian lobby, they build this insane, exquisite gingerbread house, full size, out of gingerbread. It's so beautiful. It's not just for people at the Grand Floridian to come see. Like people will come from afar, from all different resorts and places specifically to come see that. They'll buy gingerbread from it. It's so cool. ⁓ Disney has announced that they are taking that gingerbread house away. Now, this is sort of tied into a larger Thank you to our special guests. That was tricky, guys. And those are the types of questions that we had on that scavenger hunt, which is why we wanted to bring them in and see how they did. I am so curious to see how you did, so please let us know in the comments. And yeah, let us know how you did. I feel like people will maybe beat them. I don't know. I thought Mouse Let's C would do better if I'm being honest. M1: When Mouse Three was leaving, he said, Too difficult. M2: happening going on at Disney World right now, which is that they are beginning to slowly kind of crack down on what's going on with non-resort guests visiting resorts. There's so many layers to this. So just to give you the facts, they test they've tested this out a couple of times. But the biggest change right now is that at Disney Springs, you cannot take a bus to a resort unless you are staying at a Disney resort. let's wrap it up. Let's wrap it up with a ⁓ fact of the day and a pit and a peach. ⁓ My peach honestly was ⁓ the scavenger and being invited by Disney to that. It was so special and so fun. And so that my peach. If I'm doing a Rehoboth Beach peach, I would say spending time at the beach has been really fun. It doesn't matter what resort. If I want to take a bus to Saratoga but I'm staying at Wilderness Lodge, I can get on that Saratoga bus. They've confur Disney has confirmed that. If I'm staying off site, I cannot take a bus to a resort. M1: Unless you have a dining reservation, then you can get on a bus like to that particular resort. But that's it. It's very restrictive for off site guests. M2: Yeah. M1: My Peach also, of course, being invited by Disney as an addition to that, getting to see so many creators that we never see was just so fun and special. and my Ver Hobith Beach Peach is getting to see the Micklet at the beach for the first time and spending so much time with him. M2: That's it. And Yes, it's specifically off site guests. It impacts some, like, you know, local annual pass holders as well who want to go to the resorts, can't park there, and usually went to Springs. And people said also some cast members ⁓ who park at Springs. The main reason they're doing it is to combat the free parking sort of issue that people try to park at Springs for free and, you know, go take a bus to somewhere else. But there's a lot of talk on the internet, non-confirmed by Disney, but that this is Disney's attempt to My pit, I think, let's see. ⁓ it's been like a pretty good week. So I don't know how many pits I have. I guess my pit is that you just bullied me saying that the questions I chose from the scavenger hunt were too hard, even though that was the purpose of it and you had the chance to review them. That sort of made me feel sad, so I guess that's my pit. get like less non resort foot traffic in the resorts. So M1: You're crazy. Okay, my pit. ⁓ Maslate made me go on a really long bike ride. Before we went, I said, I don't want to take a three hour bike ride. And she said, It's not gonna be three hours. It'll be like an hour to an hour and a half. It was two and half hours. If you've ever stayed, particularly at a monorail resort, I will say I think that the contemporary has a less of an issue because it's like so large in one building, basically. So people, even though they're milling about, are kind of more spread out. However, a place like the Pali or even Grand Floridian, which don't have huge lobbies, when there's a million people in there. M2: Polly. M1: It was too long. M2: Okay, it would have been an hour, an hour and a half if you had ridden your bike at the pace that Google said, which is ten miles per hour, but we rode at six miles per hour the whole time, which is why it took so much longer, and that's okay, but that's why it took that much longer. M1: Who are all clearly not staying there. They're there to maybe go to Ohana, go to Trader Sam's, walk around, watch the fireworks, whatever. M2: Go to Captain Cook's like quick service, like yeah. M1: It feels really, really crowded and potentially less pleasant for a resort guest. Mouslit too and I actually sort of experienced this on a smaller scale when we were staying at the beach club and we wanted to go to Beaches and Cream for dinner. And because something that's been thrown around with this is like if you're staying at a resort, you should really be able to like eat dinner at that resort, you know? Like it makes sense. M2: My Fact of the Day is about the beach and yacht club pool, specifically the lazy river, which is the fact that when they created the beach and yacht club resort, ⁓ they intended for that lazy river to be a snorkeling They actually filled it with fish. It goes about eight feet down. ⁓ And it was like that for a short period of Very, very, very minimally documented with actual photos and things because it just was really not successful for them with the challenges of And that's what there was a big Facebook post or ⁓ God, I don't know, something recently that I read out loud, I think on the episode maybe I just read M1, but it was like someone saying, I didn't book my reservations really in advance. Like they didn't know they were just staying at the poly. They couldn't get a reservation anywhere. And they're like, shouldn't they hold some they just didn't understand. They're like, why would they not be holding these for resort guests? And as people, and I would like to say this. Filtering the pool, keeping the fish safe. Eventually they decided that was not working. They pulled the fish out and they turned it into a lazy river. M1: My fact is that ⁓ where we ate dinner at Tepan Ido in Japan, when we were walking into the restaurant, we said, This is kind of ill contrived. The entrance to it is just like sort of strange. And it's because the building was retrofitted to have restaurants in it. It originally was supposed to have an attraction in it, which was gonna kind of be like Carousel of Progress, right? But of Japan. M2: ⁓ we've stayed at the Polynesian twice. I've stayed there for one singular night, and then we stayed at the Island Tower. And you've stayed there for like one or two nights and then at the island tower. So we're not frequenters of staying at the Polynesian. It's very expensive. We love this resort. We love to visit it. We love to go to Trader Stam's. We love to go to the stores, Captain Cooks, watch the fireworks. I understand that me being there does impact the paying guests there. I you know, it's tough. I want to visit. Like I get it, but M1: One night and then at the island tower. Mm-hmm M2: Yeah, like a Japan carousel of progress. ⁓ they actually had it in Tokyo Disney for a bit, but ⁓ people say that there were issues with how they constructed the building, it couldn't hold the stage, and that show itself also was potentially not the best suited for the American audience, so they say, because ⁓ of the way that it touched upon World War Two. So they decided to remove it. And they instead put those restaurants, which I actually I love those restaurants, so M1: We go there all the time. It's very challenging, and I think And the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian, to tie it back to that, I think them not bringing it back this year was a shock. Last year it was not there specifically because they were doing construction in the lobby. They said temporary thing, construction in the lobby, you know, it'll be back next year. And then this year, they kind of surprised everybody and didn't bring it back. And according to some news sources, the news sources have said that Disney confirmed to them it will never return. So I, you know, so in theory, the gingerbread house is now done forever. I think people were Same. It's just a really odd, ill contrived entrance. Also, petition to get rid of the cutie culture exhibit and finally bring something new. M2: Bring something Tokyo Disney. I I have to say I agree. But guys, that is our episode. Was it shorter? We'll see. Mouse the one's got a little bit of editing to do. ⁓ I mean, we just can't be concise, and that's that's just the reality of it. We do no, we're concise every day in our you know short form videos. But on the podcast, we just want to gab and we want to chat. Thank you for listening. If you like this episode, be sure to give us the five star rating on Apple or Spotify. If you're listening on YouTube, give us a thumbs up, subscribe to our channel, follow us on Instagram and TikTok. That's yeah. M1: Very, very surprised to hear that, but it it does sort of seem to tie into this whole thing, and unfortunately. Carly Weisell said this. If you listen to her podcast, very amusing. I'm sure she talked about it on there as well. She was saying when Disney takes something away, if you're a Disney fan, you need to start preparing yourself for what the future of what they might take away may be. And them taking away the gingerbread house, like, well, yes, it's a bummer. It's not, you know, the absolute end of the world. However, there could be a day in the not that far future where you cannot go to the Grand Floridian at all if you're not staying there. That would be much sadder. M2: And let us know how you did on Trivia. If you did better than us, I am so, so, so curious. But we'll see you next week. Bye. M1: to me. And I understand. M2: It's it's very, very interesting because the way and then I promise we'll talk about the other news quickly, but the way that Disney started out is that they wanted these resorts to literally be an extension of the theme parks. They built them this way on purpose for non resort guests to go to the campground and do archery and do all these things. Even if they weren't staying there, they wanted you to do that. The times have changed. There's four theme parks, there's two water parks, there's Disney Springs. It is it is so interesting. I would be I mean, the gingerbread house like is one thing. I'm less concerned about the gingerbread house than what else does it mean? You know, I don't want to only visit resorts if I'm staying at them or I have a dining reservation. I feel like we can talk about this way more next week. There's so much more to say. But a bit of other news, I'm gonna write one that I I didn't write on the spreadsheet, but a child fell into one of the enclosures at Animal Kingdom L fell into at Animal Kingdom Lodge and people had to jump in and get them. They were not hurt. An animal didn't get them. Clearly, they climbed up the rocks and jumped down. M1: What this can mean, exactly. M2: ⁓ that's speculation, unconfirmed. Another piece of news, a kid riding Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland tried to jump out of his log, 'cause there aren't lap bars there, to get into the log behind him, and he fell down the entire like fifty five foot drop and survived with minor injuries. Crazy. M1: Mm-hmm. And when we were on Tiana Spayou adventure the other day in Magic Kingdom, granted I Disneyland one is a little bit different, but I was looking at like the waterfall and it's like stepped concrete. It looks like extremely steep. thin stairs basically. And when we watch the video of Disneyland, I'm pretty sure Disneyland is the same one. He just happened to kind of fall forward a little bit and like plunge down. And I guess it must have been fairly deep at the bottom, where he's very tiny and I don't know. Watching the video is insane. I cannot believe he did not get more hurt. M2: Sure. Same. And like people were saying his mom or something when he started to fall tried to like push him to not have him not fall into it. And that didn't work. But honestly, I think it's for the best because he would have gone flying down that mountain still. Don't stand up on rides, don't climb. I mean it's so so scary and sad, but he was confirmed by his parents that he was horsing around. So those are kind of the two crazy like people misbehaving things. M1: Yeah. Oof. Some other regular news, there's a new gorilla at Animal Kingdom. So if you we talked about it when the older male gorilla that they'd had for many, many, many years passed away. There's now a new male gorilla. They closed the enclosure for like a day or two to kind of get him acclimated. And then in other crazy news, the other day, today, as if we're recording this, very recently, M2: Yeah. M1: Over two dozen attractions were closed at Walt Disney World at once. In fact, at the time of the writing of the article I was reading, thirty-two ⁓ different attractions were closed across property. It was insane. Obviously there was some sort of like system failure or something going on. Like everything was closed. M2: Crazy. Yeah. That also happened at Disneyland Paris, which is crazy because I was just there. It was hot the week before I got there. It was not hot when we were there. In fact, it was actually a little bit chilly. We were wearing coats and sweatshirts and stuff. ⁓ jeans, like every day. Okay, it was so hot that almost every single ride had to close because of the heat. Restaurants like were closing. The characters were not even out like crazy. It was like over a hundred degrees, and they don't have AC in a lot of places in Paris in general. M1: Yeah, like Florida is built to deal with that. Paris is not. And I guess they just were worried about peop guest safety, cast member safety, like in that level of heat. So they but literally actually we had someone, one of someone who follows us DM'd us saying that they were there. And basically they were like, it unfortunately was like kind of terrible because there was l it literally nothing to do. Everyone was just kind of milling around, being like, What do we do right now? M2: Yeah, that's absolutely brutal. ⁓ okay, anyway, guys, that's the news. We have a couple more things just to kind of generally discuss during the main topic. And the main topic is best places to work at Disney plus our trip rundown. Because we just got back from a Disney trip and it was the most unique trip we have ever taken because it was primarily a work trip. Work for our full time jobs and then work for the mouse lit. Yes, we had some fun after hours and stuff too. And we also had fun doing our work for the mouseelets, but it was truly like a work-focused trip, which is very rare for us. M1: The last sister trip that we took was August 2025, which is when I was about like three months pregnant, so I couldn't actually do a lot of stuff, but we hadn't announced it yet, so it was kind of in secret. M2: Sister sister. M1: And this so this was our first sister trip and it also was a trip that we were invited by Disney on. So Disney had invited us down for an event that we had on Friday, which we'll talk about more, but that was the reason that we went. And so we went a couple days earlier to have, you know, to not be flying there for like one day, because we had to leave very early Saturday morning to come here to Rehobaok Beach. M2: Ideally, we would not have actually had those trips stacked up against each other, but the event is invited to us, which we will talk about was so cool that it made sense. And I think we mentioned this last week. We were looking around, like what resort should we stay in? We ended up staying at the beach club. It was the perfect choice for us. We took such great advantage of the pool, the proximity to the parks, and ⁓ in general, it was like having the gym for me. It worked very well. But let's get into a little bit of a rundown. Starting with day one, which was a travel day. Very uneventful. M1: This day was a nightmare for me. ⁓ my god, this day was an actual absolute nightmare for me, seriously. It was so bad. The weekend before had been Father's Day. And so between like celebrating Father's Day with Mouse Lit C, then we saw his family. I had a birthday party on Friday. I I slept over there. I was like, I did not have time to pack. I had Mouse Lit Mouse lit to I was exhausted from the birthday party. M2: What? I mean I came to your house and you slept for three hours on the couch watching descendants. M1: We did plan outfits, so I at least had like Disney the base of most of my Disney outfits planned, but then I had to pack for Disney. I had to pack for myself a Rehoboth and I had to help Mousel C pack at least some stuff for the Micklet and Rehoboth. It was seriously awful. It was like the closest I feel like I've ever come to like missing a flight. I didn't. It was fine, but it was very chaotic. I actually was supposed to wait at Mouse for Mouse 2 at the airport, but your flight was delayed. M2: Yeah, I had actually I well, I had an interesting day because I commuted into Boston and I flew out of I brought my suitcase there and then like went straight to the airport after that. And that was just a little stressful because it was literally pouring down rain. So I like going with my suitcase through Boston in the pouring down rain and I was like, ⁓ this kind of s like s M1: ⁓ wait, speak on the fact that you took an Uber, people were being like, ⁓ two and an Uber. M2: I'm still in Boston in this part of the story. I took the commuter rail into Boston. M1: I thought you took an I thought you took an Uber to the airport in Boston. M2: No no no no I took an Uber from MCO. ⁓ I did take one to the airport as well. ⁓ yeah, y if you try to get to the airport, let me okay, let me give you a little bit of a bit of a M1: No, you did take one to the airport. I can pic M2: If you know Boston, you know the T. If you don't know Boston, I don't know. M1: Is this Mouselitz lore or is this like Boston lore? Okay. M2: ⁓ it's ma it's l it's ⁓ mouse lit mouse lit to lore. It's it was related to a Disney trip. The T is the like subway system here, and there's all of these different lines, whatever. I used to take the subway a lot more than well, now I especially don't 'cause I don't even live in the city. But f after a bit, I abandoned taking the underground subway and took buses everywhere in Boston or biked. ⁓ that's what I did for the last couple of years. I lived there. I like very rarely was getting on something underground. ⁓ just didn't really not didn't suit my fancy, as our family says. ⁓ also I could get where I needed to go on a bus and I prefer a bus. Like I'm a bus girl. Anyway, I decided I'm gonna take the blue line to the airport. Never been on the blue line at that time. This isn't like twenty this you know what this is? This is twenty eighteen lore. M1: This is there we go, twenty eight spin lore. M2: ⁓ this was very early on from our trips that we were flying. Like I was probably I might have been flying spirit, RAP, recipes. But it was like totally different types of trips for us. So whatever. I was like, I'll take the blue line. Easy. Okay. So I had to like transfer lines like three times. I get on the blue line. We get trapped underground. The train is stuck for like 40 minutes underground between stations. As I'm sitting there, I didn't I don't even know if I had pre-check at this time. M1: ⁓ M2: Ticking look like, ⁓ my God. Finally we pop out. We're nowhere near the airport. We went like three stops. We're still on the wrong side of the water from the airport. I then had to find an Uber. It went to the wrong spot. I'm like running around. Uber was very new to me at that time. It was 2018. Like I wasn't using Uber all the time. Barely made my flight. It was horrific. And from that point on, I said, I will never take the blue line to the airport again. People are always like, take the silver line. No, no, I'm not gonna take the silver line, which sits in traffic. ⁓ so I do Uber to the airport in Boston. Not not by choice, but because the Boston infrastructure failed me in 2018 and I've never risked it again. All this to say that from my office, yes, I did take an Uber to the airport, bonded with my Uber driver. It was great. Got into the airport. ⁓ my flight was delayed, but I had a two hour rehearsal for a huge interview I had. And so I had to find a spot. M1: ⁓ Like Interview not you're not interviewing for a new job. You were doing an M2: No, I'm not. I was interviewing for a project we were trying to win. ⁓ so I had to get to the airport excessively early so I could set up a spot so I could do this whole interview prep and I was presenting and answering questions, practicing, ⁓ which made it kind of stressful. I had to have like I brought a separate monitor, I had a headset, like I was fully set up. But then I got my flight. I read my book the entire time. ⁓ it was a delightful flight. Got to MCO. I did Uber instead of taking mirrors, I just wanted to be there as fast as possible. ⁓ I'm at is already there. Yeah, so why don't you talk about what you're doing, which is way more interesting than my Ubering stories. M1: Because I was already there. Yes. So I when I got there, I first went straight to the room. ⁓ we always film a little room tour. Do we ever really post them? Not really anymore, but we will. This room, let's discuss our thoughts on the room. The room to me, so this was a standard room at the beach club. This was not a DVC room at the beach club. It's just like a standard room. I think that the beach club, I will I'm gonna say we talked about it last week, the lobby of the beach club, okay? And I stand by that, what we said last week. I think the beach club a little bit struggles with theme. Yacht Club has a very, very, very defined theme. Be Yes, Beach Club is supposed to be like the beach clubs of of New England and the Northeast type thing. M2: As does boardwalk, which I think is an equivalent of these two. M1: I just feel like they're having trouble nailing. I think the outside theme really works, like the out the way the outside buildings work. M2: I think the lobby ish, I think some of the pl I the Martha's Vineyard Lounge absolutely does not work. Let me say that. The room though, the it's like the art is adorable. Some of it's good. The headboards are giving like art deco, and so is the chandelier in like the wrong way. I mean, I love art deco, but it's like, is this like the golden age of hol like I'm just like, wait, what's this doing in this room? Like it doesn't totally make sense. M1: But the room The art is the best part of the room. It was a little like even the wallpaper, which I think is supposed to be kind of like a grass cloth like peachy texture, is very like grey silver leaning. There's a lot there's a big like silver art decoe mirror. The headboards are a little art decoey. Like darker furniture in there. ⁓ Why did it just put a thumbs up on like ⁓ okay, that was bizarre. I know, yes, I have a headboard. Okay. M2: I have a headboard. Why did it just pop up a thumbs up? I don't know. I have a headboard. Do you know what I'm saying? That's a family joke. I have a headboard. You're not reacting and now I just sound weird. Thank you. M1: If anyone knows the song, like I am a walrus cuckoo cachook, our parents used to say I have a headboard cuckoo ca-chook. I don't know why. Anyways. Okay. No. Anyways, the room just like it doesn't have the biggest theme. It doesn't actually really have any theme at all other than the art on the walls. It's just kind of like a room. And it doesn't feel like a beachy beach club room to me. It's a fine room. It's a nice room. But I M2: I thought that was from our our uncle. Sure, beautiful shirt. I would actually say thematically the room doesn't shine, but I think in every other way the room really does shine. Like I think the bathroom setup was great. It had a desk which was amazing. I liked the size of it. I thought the balcony was excellent. It had a fifth sleeper. I think it's just thematically. It doesn't scream Beach Club. M1: I agree. And the lighting in the bathroom is bad. M2: I actually thought the lighting in the bathroom was amazing. I like literally was thinking, I like, I want my bathroom to be lit this way. No, it was a ma no, it was you're totally wrong. ⁓ okay, why don't you talk about beyond the room, you going to Epcot the first night? M1: Please don't, please don't. It was terrible. It was terrible. Okay. So I was very torn in what I wanted to do. Here were my options. Okay, I think we talked about this in our deep dive last week, but to say it again, the quick service options at BH and Yacht Club are abysmal. They're so No, the to-go of Ale encompass is good, but the actual quick service is terrible. M2: No, ya club M1: So I was like, okay, I'm not even gonna consider quick service. I could do to go, veil, and compass, but I figured at some point we would want to do that. So I was like, I kind of don't want waste that now. ⁓ I could go over to the boardwalk pizza window. I was like, I could go to Swann and Dolphin. This is some mouse lit's lore, but there is a place in Swan and Dolphin called Pico this is called it's called Peekaboo. It's like Chipotle, like kind of, you know, like ⁓ that style of Mexican food. It's in the basement. M2: This is twenty eighteen, Laure. It's in like the basement by the gym. M1: Mouse too and I used to eat there every time before our flight. We would go, we would like go to Epcot, I guess, like sneak over to Peekaboo because we loved it. No, no, I know. I know. Yeah, ⁓ I think Mouse 2 and I have are keeping it afloat. So I was like, I can go to Peekaboo, or I could go into Epcot. M2: That's like crazy of us. Wasn't even a sneak. Anyone can go there. I'm sure they're happy to have the business. Literally. M1: I did a little panic over park reservations. Everybody absolutely roasted me because even if you're an annual pass holder, and your pass holders still need park reservations, not after 2 p.m. So I went to Epcot. ⁓ I went and I got Japanese food in the quick service in honor of Mouse Lie, that used to be his favorite. I will say I got an udon, which is like broth and noodles. It was like the hottest thing I've ever eaten, and it was like 100 degrees out. I was like literally sweating. But I did that and then I watched the fireworks, which we never ever watch the fireworks. And so it was like really nice. I literally hung out and then as I walked back I saw and find my friends that Mouse too was about to enter the lobby. So I literally just met her in the lobby. M2: Which was a surprise to me and it was great because then I got to go straight to the room with her. I didn't have to worry about getting a room card. The next day we knew that we were working a whole day. And so we ended up kind of going to bed like er early, one might say. Like an earlier time, because we had to wake up and go to work. ⁓ actually we decided that before we started work, we were gonna go to Epcot and ride the new Soarin. So we woke up, I went to the gym, got a good workout. Not my fave gym. It's like okay. It's like a little bit small, but M1: Someone again, someone damned us and was like one of the best gyms on property, which I know you do not agree with. M2: Hardest. I mean, the contemporary is the worst gym on property, but this one's like I mean, the equipment's newer than Animal Kingdom Lodge. ⁓ as someone who's been to like, I think I've been to every single gym on Disney property at this point. Is there anyone I haven't? Not pretty sure I've been to the all of them. This one ranks pretty low for me, actually, just because there's not a lot of floor space. But anyway, after that we went on a hot girl walk. ⁓ we walked basically just kind of around the boardwalk. I got breakfast from Boardwalk Bakery. She got breakfast a thirteen dollar croissant from a cake bake shop. Not worth it. Not worth it now. Yeah. M1: Was it and I will say not worth thirteen dollars. You can get just a regular croissant. And I got a coffee at Cake Bake. M2: Like a thirty ounce, forty five ounce coffee or something. M1: It was like twenty four ounces. It was way too big. I did not know it was gonna be that large. And then we went and M2: We continued our walk though and we popped into Epcot and we basically we walked over to Soren and we did Soren across America for the first time. Let's do a brief little well, no spoilers, but let's give a rating. You start. M1: Okay, Soaring is one of my absolute favorite rides since I was a kid. I really, really liked it. I don't know, eight out of ten? Nine out of ten. M2: I think I would, yeah, I I would give it like an eight out of ten. Eight point five was where I was gonna land at. I loved all of the scenes. I thought that they they basically instead of doing a transition like where a kite flies across and it cuts you a new scene or like an eagle, they like faded them in and out, kind of like you would do on like Microsoft PowerPoint. And I was like, ⁓ they could have been more imaginative with that. And I think they're reusing the sense from the previous one. But I did really like all the scenes and it showed like a M1: It made me it made me be like, ⁓ my gosh, America's so beautiful. No, I was. I was Golden Wings. M2: Like America. Spread your golden wings. Okay, but you won't watch the American Adventure like Miss America over there. ⁓ but no, that was fun. And then we went back to the room and worked. I had my actual interview that day, so I had to boot mouse it out. Mouse lit one. Mouse lit one out midday. And she had to go to the Alien Compass Lounge. ⁓ we ate there though, which was good. And I worked M1: ⁓ my god, this was so chaotic though. So I went in, I went to the Ailen Compass Lounge to work ⁓ and get our lunch. I got the burger from Alien Compass to go, and I also ordered us bread, and then I ordered Mousel too. I knew Mouse Dee was gonna need lunch. Again, quick service options are horrible. So I I literally she was like on a meeting and I'd be like, What do you want for lunch? And I ordered her like some plant-based bowl thing. Then it was take it it's Il Encompass is a restaurant, so it takes like the amount of time it would take to make restaurant food to be ready. It took so long that I was like, I don't have time to walk there and walk back before my meeting. My muscle too is yawning so much, guys. I'm so sorry. So, anyways, I walked I walked there. I'm taking my meeting in Ill Encompass Lunch. I'm trying to eat my burger. It's like a breakfast burger type thing. It has an egg on it, which I didn't realize. It was literally like the messiest burger I've ever eaten in my absolute life, and I had like one little cocktail napkin and then supposed to be on a meeting. I had to turn my camera off and say, I'm so sorry. It's a very messy meal that I'm eating right now. And I'm text Yeah. M2: to walk there in a black dress, a blazer, and white Crocs. For some reason, like genuinely, everybody was staring at me. I don't know if it was Yes. M1: Which is kind of funny, 'cause there was a conference going on at the Beach and Yacht Club and there were tons of people around for the conference. So I'm surprised that people were oogling at you. M2: But like P I was literally about to say everyone was like oogling me and I was like, is it because I'm wearing Crocs or is it because I'm wearing a blazer? I don't know. It was crazy though. ⁓ grabbed my food, went back, had to then do like a practice for my interview. ⁓ my computer completely died. Blue screen. I'm like texting my friend. I'm like, my comp my computer just died, my computer like of course the whole thing just like crapped the bed. Who knows what? M1: ⁓ yeah. Like it crashed, it crashed. It didn't like battery die. It was just like M2: ⁓ but I did have a really good setup. So w well after that I had the actual interview. I had a monitor. M1: Well, I was texting so Mouse Two was kicking me out of the room and I was texting her saying, I need to come back to the room like one more time before. So she's like, Okay, you have like twenty minutes, you can come in now. I'm like running in the room trying to get all my stuff, trying to pack up all my stuff. I s I successfully did. Anyways, back to your setup. M2: I had a great setup because I had a monitor and then I had my screen where I had the interview up and also my like script that I like was more like notes that I was reading. My team's messages on one side. I had a headset that keep my owner's locker. Like I was fully, fully set up. ⁓ and the interview went well. It was like I felt confident reading through it. I actually felt pretty good after about the like questions and stuff. ⁓ everyone was telling me good job, but then I actually had a call in Magic Kingdom the next day where I felt like the guy was like. Maybe not not feeling as good about how I answered one of the questions. So whatever. Perseverating on that still to this day. But after that. M1: Well, a bummer for me was during your call, I was again kicked out of the room. And so I had been planning on going to work in a place called the solarium. This th did you know they used to serve tea in the solarium? Like used to be able to book M2: Ooh, I didn't know I don't know much about the solarium at all. M1: Yes, apparently you used to be able to do like a tea experience in the solarium. That has not been the case for a long time. It's just kind of like a nice little room. However, it was torrentially, torrentially downpouring outside. So all of the lifeguards, which I didn't know, all of the lifeguards were just inside. Just sort of like literally hanging around. Cause they couldn't Yes, but they were not like in a break room. They were just like M2: I guess that makes 'cause no one could be swimming 'cause it was gonna thunderstorm. M1: about and then all of the people of course that were trying to be at the pool were inside so was so crowded. I went to the solarium however and I was able to find like a table. It was so unoptimized for working because I was like my computer was at the height of my knees. But whatever I was able to like do work there until the day was done, which is when we went in the pool. But we wanted to talk a little bit about where remote work and like the best places. M2: Yeah, because we out we work remote at Disney a lot. Everyone says, How do you go to Disney so much? We work remote. ⁓ in fact, we used to go on like events, ⁓ like frog hops and stuff, and we would work the day when we arrived. We ⁓ we are lucky that we have jobs that let us work remotely. Your job is literally basically fully remote. My job is not. My job is like primarily an in office job, but I have like flexibility to work remote sometimes, and I use that flexibility to work remote wherever I want. I can work remote just as effectively from home as I can from Hoboth as I can from Disney. So M1: What? I am thinking of a place that we worked remote from Disney that in my opinion was the worst spot that we ever worked remotely from. Do you know what it is? M2: I mean c the ⁓ Contempo Cafe was pretty bad. M1: Contempo Cafe was awful. That was so we work Contempo Cafe is the quick service at Contemporary outside of Chef Mickey. M2: Well, should we just preface it with saying contemporary seems like it would be a good spot to work because there's like the come yeah, it's a terrible spot to work. Horrible, horrible, horrible. There's no tables. The convention floor doesn't have like to connect the there's no tables in there. So it's just seats. M1: It's like a convention center. Yeah. It's terrible. It's just like bench there's seats, like chairs, but there's no tables. We needed tables. So we are in the Contempo Cafe, which is right outside Chef Mickey. They're constantly playing their napkin waving song in Chef Mickey. It's blasting M2: We're getting distracted. We're waving napkins ourselves. M1: There's no outlets in Contempo Cafe. The only outlet that we could find was the one that the toaster was plugged into. It was like 2 p.m. I was so tempted to unplug the toaster to ch we did not to charge. So some places are terrible to work, such as Contempo Cafe. Some places are very good to work. There are places at Disney resorts sometimes that aren't really used during the day. For example, Martha's Vineyard Lounge is an example when it's not really raining. Another one is the Puffins Roost thing. M2: We thought of Yeah, I was gonna say we thought about unplugging it, but we didn't. M1: at Riverside. Portalines Riverside. M2: Which again is that's not we've talked about this many times. That's not the name of it, but or is it or is that the name of it? M1: Okay, you you wrote in the document Puffins Roost. So Mouse 2 is now M2: I I'm wondering I think that actually might be the name of it. ⁓ M1: Yeah, we call it the river roost sometimes, I think. M2: ⁓ it might be the River Roost, yeah. It is the River Roost. M1: And it doesn't matter. It's the little lounge there where like Yiha Ba performs at night. It's honestly very random that Riverside has it. But it's not really used that much during the day. So we once worked like a full day from there. Honestly, of all places we worked, it was pretty good. That wasn't bad. M2: It's probably my favorite spot. Yeah, a lot of the resorts, the solariums at Beach and Yacht Club. I would say most of the resorts have a good option. I mean, even the food court at the value is like you can pretty much stake out a good spot. I think another great spot to work is Epcot. That in the new area and World Celebration in the gardens, they have all they have outlets, they have seats. Like they've almost made it an area where you can work remotely. If you need to go inside, yeah, if you need to go inside, Connections Cafe is also really good. But I think Epcot is M1: It's just hot. M2: Probably the best place to work. I've also worked a lot from Hollywood Studios. ⁓ meh in the morning, you're basically gonna be working outside. There's nowhere to go inside. ⁓ back lot, all the table areas are closed off. You're not supposed be sitting there. Learn that the hard way. ABC Commissary has a staff meeting every morning inside. Also learned that when I walked into the staff meeting. Docking Base 7 serves breakfast. So I just feel bad like occupying a table from someone who wants to like eat there. ⁓ so I ended up working outside there. But I would say Epcot is the best and then I mean honestly your the real best spot is your resort room. So M1: The issue is l we used to fly down in the morning and then we'd have to work that day. So we don't have a room. Or we'd be switching resorts. We wouldn't have a room sometimes. That's the hardest. But if you can be in your room Absolutely the best place. Anyways, back to our day. After we went into the beach club pool, again, we really wanted to use the amenities at the resort. ⁓ specifically the beach club pool has a lazy river. Masle too and I basically like lived in the lazy river. It was amazing. We were so tempted, we were so tempted to stay in the pool. M2: I was so And I'm gonna that pool, I'm gonna discuss it more in my fact of the day. ⁓ but after that, we went to Epcot. We did dinner at Tepanito, which is hibachi in Japan. If you've never been to hibachi before, I mean, change that immediately. But it's just it's almost like traditional hibachi there would be like anywhere, like an American, you know, an American restaurant hibachi type thing. So good. Our ⁓ chef was a woman, which was so fun. She did a great job. She was earning her ears. I mean, she crushed it. We had a blast. Food was so good. And then we watch the fireworks. Luminous, which we And I yeah, I like Luminous. I don't I'm not obsessed with Luminous, but I like Luminous. I'm a luminous fan. I'm a casual fan of Luminous, I would say. M1: It was it was the right choice. Yeah. I watched them two nights in a row. For the next day, we changed our plan about what to do on each day like a thousand times. ⁓ we ultimately decided to start our day in Magic Kingdom that morning. We specifically needed to do Big Thunder Mountain. We had not done the new one yet. And we wanted to ride Carousel Progress one last time before it like changes. So we went and we rope dropped Buzz, our new favorite ride. I won by 10,000 points, which was crazy. M2: So good. I had like the worst start ever and mouse that went crushed in the beginning and then I was doing so well at the end she wasn't, but I just I couldn't get there. Yeah. M1: I floundered. And then we did the second rope drop, which we've talked about before. If you don't know, you ⁓ Adventureland and Frontierland only opened when the park opens to everyone. So we went over and we did Big Thunder. What did you think of the new Big Thunder? M2: really want to dive in and I will be so keep an eye out for this. I'm gonna dive into more of what the storyline of this revamped attraction is. I would say I thought it was good. I mean honestly we've we're not like a huge Thunder Mountain family. The biggest changes they made, they mean they did make some storyline changes and again I will be diving more into that. I wish I had read them a little more before. they smoothed it out in different ride vehicles like just f smoother basically and they also have a lot of construction walls up blocking the old Tom Sawyers Island area. In general, I found it was a lot smoother, which in my mind made it slightly less thrilling. And I thought it was good. This is gonna be a crazy hot take because I love when Disney refurbishes the ride and I bet next week when I learn the storyline I'll change my mind. I actually think it's one point like worse than it was before for me, because I think the it was just like I was like, ⁓ it was too smooth for me. M1: The smoothness was always making me slightly sick. I thought the rainbow the rainbow cavern scene is a really short, but I did think that that was really cool. Like it was so bright and vibrant. The bats like didn't quite hit for me. I just because I think I I like blinked and they were gone. I need to pay more attention. I unfortunately do still think that our Big Thunder Mountain is the worst of the three I've done Disney World, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. ⁓ but like M2: Yeah, I agree. Yeah. I do like it though. And I want to I'm gonna talk more about the story next week. So just get ready for me to completely change my opinion on it. after that though, Tiana's by you adventure was a 10 minute wait. I had a meeting and they pushed it like 20 minutes, and so I said, Shall we? And we did. And so we rode Tiana's, which was actually very fun, very relaxing. If you sit in the back row, I want you to know if you sit in the back row at Disney World, Disneyland is totally different. The water's so high at Disneyland, but at Disneylor, you will not get that wet. M1: It was good. M2: And so we sat in the back row. We got like a little like a tiny little sprite. The front row, you will get like literally wet. ⁓ that was really fun. And then I went over to Sleepy Hollow. We got waffles. I found a rocking chair to take my meeting in. I'm like way off to the side, over by the hall of press. I'm like, no one would ever come over here. Cause that was like my big thing. I had like a meeting for an hour, and then I was basically like, I'd done a little bit of work like very early in the morning. So I'd be done after that. Unfortunately, ⁓ for me, but M1: We like barely got wet, which was nice. M2: I they're totally valid. The rocking chair I thought no one would be in. A mom and a daughter came over, and the daughter clearly like was dying to sit on that rocking chair. I was like playing my call out loud because there was no one over there. And she sat and I forgot my AirPods. and she she sat next to me and was being incredibly loud, which is her right. She's at Disney. I'm on a meeting in Disney. ⁓ unfortunate though, because then I had to sort of like get move, but then I found an amazing spot to work, which was the Liberty Square Market. M1: And you and you forgot your headphones. M2: Where no one is in the morning because they don't serve food in the morning. And that worked so well. So I worked there. Mouse at one rode the haunted mansion. Got a hilarious picture of her alone in a doom buggy on that. ⁓ we went over to Tomorrowland and we did the carousel of progress for the last time, which was crazy. M1: It was sad. Like I'm actually really excited for the new one. I love I I am like a final scene Carousel of Progress hater. I think the last scene is so bad. ⁓ so I'm excited for what's to come. However, the three like OG Carousel of Progress scenes, I kept saying to muscle too, we're never gonna see this again. We're never gonna see this again. Like it was weird. It's weird to not ever see that part again. M2: It was I was gonna say, yeah, it was so it was so bittersweet. ⁓ after that at Magic, we had to pop over to Hollywood because we booked Lightning Lanes and we needed to get over to our rock in Lightning Lane. So we took a bus over to Hollywood. ⁓ and we went and did Brown Derby, our dining reservation. We love Brown Derby. It's kind of the first place that like me and Mouse at one went to M1: Well we did brown derby for lunch. M2: Together that our family hadn't gone to. We started like it's literal it's like twenty twenty one lore, which is like another big year for us. ⁓ we get the chef salad every single time. And no, not a chef salad. Is that what it's called? The cob salad. The cob salad. And we each ate three rolls, which is disgusting of us. But no, actually it's not. I fully support us for that. M1: We devour the rolls. A a cob salad. Cobb salad. And we like devour the rolls. They're amazing. Then we tried to do Muppets, but as we went over there, it went down. We had our lightning lane, so we got like a multi experience to come back. ⁓ unfortunately things like kept going down. When we were in line for ⁓ our Mania Lightning Lane, that went down while we were online. Yeah. M2: We didn't even go back to that one. It was just like throwing off our day. We did eventually do Muppets and we did the new Smug. We did Tower of Terror also, which we both felt like weirdly ill on. But then we did Smuggler's Run and Muppets. So Smuggler's Run has the new Mandalorian mission. ⁓ we use a lightning lean for that. I loved it. We were pilots, which was so fun. We got Coruscant, because the engineer can pick, which is where I really wanted to fly around. I will say, people were asking. Yes, we all our entire vehicle was very, very into it. We had four single riders and us. Okay. ⁓ and I think M1: So me and Mesla two were the pilots leading the charge. If you saw our Instagram story, were we screaming? Yes. M2: But we were into it in a fun way, I would say. Like Yes. ⁓ we were yeah, I was like a little bit wobbly. She was crashing into she was up and down. You really struggled with that one, I would say. But I was a literal ace. Call me Han Solo. No, no, no, no, no, no. ⁓ but we crushed it. I love this mission but a hundred thousand times more. It's so much better. I thought it was so fun. M1: In a fun way. ⁓ my god, don't even guys, Nostal 2 is only saying that because she was so wobbly. She was literally making me ill. She was making me sick. Okay, here's my thing. I didn't understand what we were actually doing at all. What were we doing? And how many did we get? M2: We're trying to get cargo. Trying to get cargo. I totally missed that because I was too focused on the flying. I would do it like a hundred more times though. I loved it. It felt it was amazing. Then we did Muppets. Rock and Roller Coaster. We're in the back row of Muppets. So I loved the art in the pre-show. I thought the pre show they did a great job. I love that they took what the scene was, keeping that parking garage and just like added some Muppet flair to it. I'm actually happy it looks the same, but like Muppet fied. I thought that was great. I don't know about you. Like M1: Yes, see exactly, exactly. Rock and roller coaster. Me too. Same with the props in the actual ride. Like, no spoilers, but you know, it's rock and roller coaster. But like Muppet Fide. I thought that was really, really, really fun. However, so in general, I loved it in that way. I did not care about Aerosmith at all. Having it be Muppets to me is a million times better than having it be random Aerosmith, personally. However, some people said the track was smoother. I thought the track had never been more rattly. It was hurting me. M2: give a tip that I'm like they say to keep your head back. I'm like, don't keep your head back. Lean your head forward. ⁓ Worst advice I've ever given myself. I've murdered my neck. ⁓ I will put my head back. Yeah, we got I think the back row maybe too, but I loved it. I thought it's very similar to Rock and Roller Coaster with just a little touch of Muppets. I think it's great. I think they did a fantastic job. M1: It it was killing me. It was killing me, yes. I agree. And then the other new thing was seeing animation courtyard. Which is the area where Launch Bay used to be. The building itself is not open yet, but the like courtyard itself is. And I thought it was number one. They had so many characters out. And the characters were not doing meet and greets. The characters were playing hot potato. They were doing fake interviews. They were playing hide-and-seek. Like it was unbelievably interactive in a way that I can't believe Disney World is attempting, to be honest. M2: Except they're gonna move those characters inside and that will all change. But it's so cute. I think it's so well done. It's it's simple. It's gonna change, which is why it's hard to like kind of review right now. But it's I thought it I thought they did a great job. Basically that's what I'll say. I think it's so cute. I think they brought life to that area. Again, I think when the animation building opens up, it's gonna be even better. It's so geared towards kids as someone who has no kids in the best way. It's like like we didn't even meet the characters, we didn't M1: Yes. M2: Just because it was like, ⁓ this is like, I mean, anyone can meet them. I just want to say that. But like all of the kids were having such a fan, like a fun time. And I was like, ⁓ this is so sweet. Like, why am I gonna let Stitch interview me when like Stitch could go interview a person, like a kid who's a huge fan? So like, and I don't always have that perspective, but this felt very kid oriented in a way that I thought was great for Hollywood Studios, which has a lot more rides, more geared towards adults. ⁓ for dinner we did Beaches and Cream. M1: I agree. Well, we went back early on purpose because once again we wanted to use the pool. We spent so much more time in the pool and we just wanted like a cozy casual meal. So this is when we went to Beaches and Cream. We did the walk-up list, which took like forty-five minutes. It wasn't bad. We just hung out in the pool the whole time. M2: We got grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was so good. We were both basically full at that point. We could have left, but then we both ordered ice cream. We and and also why didn't we share an ice cream? Unclear on that too. ⁓ because I got like a regular ice cream with dairy in it. ⁓ 'cause I didn't well, I don't know, I had orange sherbet. Spoiler alert, everyone told me orange sherbet has dairy in it. Little did I know. I've been eating it for years, not taking a lactate. But I've never gotten sick, so crazy. But beaches and cream was so fun. And then we had to go to bed early because we had a huge day to prepare for. M1: So this was another thing that we kept trying to figure out what we should do in the morning on this day. Ultimately, we decided, you know what, we should do nothing. Because we were meeting up with Disney around 11:20 at Coronado Springs. So we decided, let's have a more casual morning. Maslatoo worked out, getting ready, getting ourselves ready. For the day, which we'll say in one second, and then we'll just calmly go over there. So, what this was was Disney invited us down to help promote the new Descendants Wicked Wonderland movie. It's the fifth movie in the Descendants franchise, and they didn't give us a lot of details, but they said that we would be doing a scavenger hunt across parks, and that the descendants cast would be there. M2: We watched the Descendants movie in advance. We sort of missed the Descendants train because we were a little too old for it. I actually am like obsessed with Descendants now. It's funny. Like I me more than you for sure. But ⁓ I l I love the franchise now. I'm very, very into it, to be honest. ⁓ but we went over to Coronado. We took a minivan because it's kind of hard to get to Coronado and also like we didn't want to deal with having to try to explain to security. Like, ⁓ we're here from this Uber because we like it was just too much. So we took a minivan. ⁓ our driver was great. He was really, really fun. Michael, shout out to you for M1: He was chatting with us about descendants a bunch. It was fun. M2: And then we got to Coronado and we walked in. We immediately saw a couple other creators, which was great because we were like, okay, we dressed right because we were we dressed in like sort of a descendants theme with like mesh these like I don't know, like they looked like net shirts. It looked at we have pictures on Instagram, but we had breakfast at like a brunch at Coronado and the descendants cast from the fourth movie and the fifth movie came in, which was so, so, so cool. And we all got put on Teams. ⁓ wait. M1: We were nervous. So we were there it was if you've seen Descendants, I was gonna say who the cast was. M2: Okay, I was gonna say, wait, we all got put on teams, and so they split us into teams of five people on each team, and each team had a captain who was one of the descendants cast. M1: So the Descendants Cast, there was I'm just gonna say the character names. ⁓ The Girl Who Plays Red and Chloe Charming, who you would know from like the other two or the other movie. M2: Malia and Kylie, yep. M1: Yes. And then there were three new cast members. A girl who plays Hazel Hook, ⁓ one of Captain Hook's daughters, then a guy who's playing Luis Madrigal, so they're introducing like the Encanto family, and then a girl who's playing Pink, which is gonna be Red's like little sister. So the five of them were there, they put us onto teams. They sort of theme of this day is that they were so glam in full glam, and we were going to become like sweaty in about 10 milliseconds. They looked amazing. ⁓ it was so cool to get to meet them and like they were so, so nice and fun and excited for the day. And then we basically each team had like a car and we were sent off to our cars and sent off to the park. So two teams, including ours, started in Magic Kingdom and two teams started in Hollywood Studios, and then halfway through we would switch. M2: And so we yeah, we started at Magic. We walked in kind of as a team. So our team had it was actually we had a we had such a I mean, all the teams were great, but we had Blake and Magic with Meg, who we've known have known for years. So that was really fun. And then ⁓ Riley and Blaine, who we didn't know before, but they were we had like such a good team. We just like ⁓ vibed, meshed very, very well. We walked in, we got a little surprise, we got to meet the Queen of Hearts, which was so cool. Haven't met her in so long, so long. I remember M1: So long as kids. M2: I used to be scared of meeting the Queen of Hearts. I remember, yeah, we used to meet her as kids a lot. Then we walked in, they gave us a packet. There were 94 clues total for the scavenger hunt, which is so many. Not going to talk about those as much because we have our special segment, which is going to start in a minute where we have 10 questions. We're having our family come and try to guess them. But we were making our way around the park, solving some of them were like simpler things, like what would be if a villain's sweet treat? And you're just finding like it's sort of just up to you. But some of them were like, trivia things where I think where is where me and you came in pretty strongly because I feel like we knew a lot of that stuff. ⁓ and then there was some descendant stuff which our team knew a lot or like we were such a good mix and we were I mean we were hoofing it because we had a lot of questions and we did not have a lot of time. We were we weren't running because you can't run in the parks, but like we were not we did not stop moving at all, even once. M1: And so basically for each of the 94 different questions, we had to take a picture with all six of our team members with whatever the thing was, right? And so we were, we figured out all the answers in Magic Kingdom like basically before we started or as we were sort of initially going so that we could plan a route and make sure we were hitting them all. ⁓ again, Mouse too and I I think we're able to contribute a lot of trivia knowledge. I'll we're not gonna do this question in this special segment that we have next. So I'll say one of the ones that did stump us was a question about like in this specific photo op, you can find these like Ursula inspired tentacles. And I think that you and I were hung up on the Ursula thing. So we were like under the sea, like villain show, but what's specific? It is outside of sci fi. There's a big billboard with like tentacles ⁓ that. M2: That one I think I was gonna say, yeah. And if we had walked around the park, we might have been like, ⁓ but like we were I bought a pen. Let me just say, they gave us all pens. Every single one of us on our team didn't even know that they gave us pens and we forgot our pens. So I ran into the store and I was like, Do you sell pens? And he was like, It's six to six day. We have these stitch pens. And I was like, Great, ten ninety-nine. I was like, Are you kidding me? ⁓ and so like we had one pen for the team. So like I was checking everything off. We're trying to go in a specific route to be efficient, so like M1: one Blaine on our team figured out. We left him in the car. M2: That helped us kind of stay efficient and actually walk like the right direction. Magic Kingdom flew by. We had to do a special thing where we went to the teacups and we rode with the descendants cast, which was so, so, so fun. ⁓ again, they were in full glam. We were all we were crammed in the like a tea, four people in a teacup is tight. I was like dis we were sweaty and disgusting. Speaking for the two of us specifically. Everyone else in our group actually looked great. But M1: We found And they were so, yes, looked amazing. Melsa too and I did not. And we're with like this cute little descendants. Casper, we were in the teacup with the girl who plays pink. She looked amazing. Again, full glam. They were not on the scavenger hunt with us. They just sort of met us for this particular moment. Looking amazing. And I was like, I look like a sweaty gremlin. Like this is, I can't even fathom. M2: It was so funny. M1: what they're gonna do with this content, but it was so cool. The cast was so nice. And then we got to do a little like special clue with them where we went over to the Cheshire Cat Cafe and like we had a little clue based around that. And then it was back off to the races. We went to Hollywood Studios and we found 92 of the 94 clues. The only two we didn't do were ride a ride in Magic Kingdom and ride a ride in Hollywood Studios. We did technically ride a ride in Magic Kingdoms, the teacups with the cast, but we felt like that like didn't really count for the game. So anything else say about the scavenger hunt before we get to the dinner? M2: no, it was so fun and the way that they put it together, it was so impressive. Like I've I actually created a scavenger hump for my family a couple we did a couple years ago. And speaking from experience, it is not easy. So impressive, so much fun. It was it was like such a fun day. Also M1: ⁓ it's crazy. And again, our team, it was randomly selected by Disney. I think we just got so lucky. Like every every creator there was amazing. But our team, like, we had the perfect mix of people who knew park stuff versus descendant stuff. And like everybody had just so much fun, all of us together. It's very rare that we get to see other creators that much. So it's always fun for us when we get to like have some time with them. And this was like a perfect little activation for it. M2: It was so much fun. After that we went to the Edison s play the map before, but he's not M1: Play the mouse lit's Lord but play the mouse lord but so special for you mouse lit too so special you M2: I've always I was obsessed in twenty eighteen with or twenty seventeen with the Edison restaurant opening. I don't know why. Mouse Lit One was like, ⁓ you should like cover the Edison for the blog. And I like did and I became obsessed. Never been, except to use the bathroom once. ⁓ we went there, we had dinner there, we sat with the cast, which was so cool. We sat with Kylie, who plays Red, ⁓ which was so much fun. And we sat with other teams, so like, yep. M1: We were celebrating her twenty-first birthday with her. Her twenty-first birthday had been the day before and we Maslatoon and I were like feeling very elderly with you. Yeah. M2: It was and then at our table we had Bippity Bapity Broke who's our friend so Adriana who's so cool. We had Melissa, we had Jeremy the T. So we had such a fun table and we were all like chatting. Our team tied in first place. And then we did a tiebreaker of trivia questions and we lost. ⁓ they were one of them I'm embarrassed, I didn't know. Hollywood City was Acreage. I just like I was confused. I mixed up square miles and the acres of Disney World, so we were a little high. But some of them were like, who's the the Name of the AI in Smart House. I was like, what? Would never have known that. So M1: We didn't know. it it was who's the AI in Smart House? Who was the pop star in Cheetah Girls 2? We were able to figure that one out. What's the height of Cinderella Castle? We knew that one. What's the runtime of the Descendants 4 movie? Blake on our team had just watched it, so he felt like he had a decent guess. But like we didn't get it on nail on the head, obviously. And then the Acreage and Hollywood Studios. It was so hard and we lost. M2: We were so close. I think we got three and they got four, so we lost. But it was so much fun and we t we technically tied, and I'll call it a tie, even though we lost the tiebreaker. It was so much fun. Again, it was so like we will go to some events with creators, but like getting to see a lot of some of the people we haven't seen in a long time. Like it's been a while since we've seen people, which is crazy that we followed people for so long. It was so fun. So like grateful that we were invited to it by Disney too. It was so cool. M1: Some people we never personally met before. Like M2: After that we got like drinks, ⁓ actually mostly just drink water, but we got drinks and kind of just hung out downstairs in Coronado and then our friend Nick, theme park dad, brought us back to the resort. M1: Drove us home because we had a 730 AM flight the next day. And before we get into our special segment, I'll just say we flew out of the Southwest Terminal, which is we don't fly out of that frequently. The food options looked so good. We wanted to eat at the sit-down restaurant because we had a bunch of time. It was terrible. It was so bad. The woman specifically, Mouse 2 tried to order the avocado toast. The woman said, I'm gonna be honest, it's the worst thing on the menu. We said, Thank you for telling us. So I said, What's I said, what's the best thing? And she said, ⁓ the best thing is like the the you know classic breakfast, like two eggs, any style. I ordered that. It was so bad. So I'm sorry, I wouldn't recommend cascine larder, I have to say. M2: So thank you for letting us know. Mine was okay. My shrimp and grits were okay. But the best part of the scavenger hunt was definitely doing the trivia because we l we love trivia. Like it's so much fun. And so that is why we are inviting ⁓ our family to come up and try some of the trivia questions for our special segment. M1: We love trivia.
