M2: Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Sisters Sisters.

M1: Welcome back. I have something to start with. It's very relevant to me, which is that we keep all of our pins in these things called pinfolios. This is a mini one. They're by our friends Go Pin Pro. They're amazing, but they're all kind of like tucked away for me. I you have a bulletin board that you display some on. I personally don't. However, there is one pin that I got. I actually think like you might have given it to or something. I don't know. I got it as like a gift.

M2: I'm worried this is my pin and that you think it's yours.

M1: No, it's not. It's not. It's part of a series that I collect. And I love this pin. I think it's so cute and stuff. And I have a little cube that sits on my desk. And this pin fits perfectly on top of it. So I keep it on my desk. I look at it every day, right? Okay. yes. Here's the pin. It's vr it's a little it's cute.

M2: Can we see the pin? Show the audience who's watching on video. It's a Mickey Mouse comic pin. Okay.

M1: Yeah, and it's from a it's from a collection that I collect, and it's Mickey's first comic strip from 1930. That's what it's portraying. Anyways, our friends, Go Pin Pro, were hosting a pin trading event, and they made a video there where they went up to people and they asked them, What's the least your least favorite pin that you have here? And people obviously had like a zillion pins, and they would go through and be like, I don't like this, you know, like whatever. One guy said that his least favorite pin was this pin.

M2: Okay. Okay.

M1: And I saw it and I I saw it and I was like, my god, my pin one my pin that in fact I love so much I took out of the book and I keep on my desk on display. It was his least favorite.

M2: What are the odds of that? Seriously. That is irony. Speaking of pins, we like to shop on whatnot. We do we used to do shows on whatnot and things, but we we like to shop on there periodically. I primarily shop for one thing. I used to primarily shop for the Anastasia music box that I got mouse a day, but since I've gotten that, now I primarily shop for Watto merchandise. And I need everybody to know everyone knows who Watto is. Watto is a character from the Phantom Menace, episode one of Star Wars. And

M1: Explain who Wato is.

M2: He is a toy Darien. That's his species, okay? And I love the specific He's not ugly. He's a big he's not evil and mean. He's a big blue bee ish thing. He's a Toy Darien. That's my favorite species from all characters of Star Wars. I feel a connection to them. I feel like a longing. Whatever. What?

M1: He's like a big flying ugly bee, and he's evil and mean. I just thought that was a weird thing to say.

M2: I I I okay, I they're my favorite species and I love them. Some people like dragons, I like Toydarians. Anyway, Watto like kind of the most famous of the Toydarians. Watto has his flaws. So does Anakin. Anakin murdered a bunch of younglings, so like Anakin has his flaws too. I just need to defend myself for supporting Watto.

M1: Watto owned Anakin as a slave, so just sort of keep that in mind with Mossel Two loving Watto.

M2: But he that's s you're sick because he ha did a lot of other things and he has other and I love his species anyway. I love the character development. I found a not yet released Watto Durable on whatnot, which I purchased, which means that in my house I have a Watto picture on my wall, I have a Watto mini fig from Lego, I obviously have a Watto plush, I have a Watto Funko Pop, and then I will also now have a Watto Dorable.

M1: Way, way, way too much wato. Speaking once again of whatnot though, I needed art for my playroom. I actually looked on whatnot because I was trying to find like some original art on there, and I did find some, but it wasn't exactly the style that I was looking for. So I asked people on Instagram for suggestions of Disney artists, and I went through a bunch. It's also hard to find a Disney artist that's like actively selling their art, like prints. Yeah.

M2: Yeah, it's like it is very hard to find that.

M1: A lot of times they aren't. So I considered waiting for Festival of the Arts, but obviously I'm way too impatient for that. Yeah. So I found an artist that I has a few prints for sale, but I got a Big Hero Six one, which is one of mine and Mouse Let C's favorite movies, a Tangled one, which is the first movie that Mouse Let C and I ever watched together, actually. And then I got a big inside out one, which I like inside out, but mostly it was just like really cute. So I'm excited. I'll show it when they come in my playroom.

M2: I was gonna say that was not gonna happen. Nothing, Mr. Toad?

M1: is together. you know what? I guess his Mr. Toad stuff wasn't available.

M2: Wow, I'm I'm a huge fan of Mr. Toad. I'm considering adding a Mr. Toad print right there.

M1: Ms. You're a huge fan of Mr. Toad and Watto. Sort of like the the Jezebels of the Disney Society.

M2: And Oswald. No. What is it, Jezebel? Is that from Kingdom Keepers?

M1: Well there is a character named Jezebel in Kingdom Keeper. Now I think Jezebel means sort of like sort of like a brooding outcast.

M2: Why on earth would that mean that? How do you spell Jezebel? Sh can I look this up on my computer? Jezebel is an infamous figure from the Bible who is a Phoenician princess and the queen of Israel, known for her ruthless promotion of the Canaanite god Baal. Her name has become s synonymous with deceit, manipulation, and power hungry women. Wow.

M1: I think that f that motto and Mr. Toad are Jezebels. Okay, my last thing for this intro.

M2: She wrote in the spreadsheet Space Mountain thing. Is it that Space Mountain might be refurbed?

M1: There, yes, there was a rumor that because Walt Disney World's 55th anniversary is coming up quickly, I might add. So I do not think that this rumor is true, but it just kind of sparked my thoughts. There's a rumor that they're going to redo Space Mountain or like refresh Space Mountain in preparation for the 55th anniversary. Again, I don't really think that that's actually gonna happen, but it was just making me think what is like if you could pick one attraction. To receive like a revamp of itself. So you're not redoing the attraction. You're just like giving it a facelift. One that comes to mind heavily for is Spaceship Earth. And I know they said they were gonna do it. And I just really wish that they did.

M2: Yeah. Spaceship Earth is a big one. Figment is a big one. I think I gotta choose Peter Pan's flight because while I like it I'm not a hater, but I just think it could be more. But a spaceship earth and the tin f the tinfoil. Y yes, and you know what? Like I understand their thriftiness when they were building Disneyland in the nineteen fifties that they used aluminum foil, tinfoil. I recently learned that not everyone calls it tinfoil. Isn't that crazy?

M1: yes. You are such a Peter Pants flight hater. you are. Tell the thing- wait. Tell them the thing that you've hated on Peter Pants. What?

M2: I yeah, I'm gonna have to do like a poll in stories. Yeah, I work everyone's like, tinfoil, tinfoil. I said, What do you call it? Al aluminum foil? The v okay know is full of aluminum foil. And I'm like, you know what? This was a good little shtick in nineteen fifties, and maybe it's kitschy to have that at Disneyland, but it's time for an upgrade.

M1: Ha ha ha. Mouse Lichu has called this out since she was like five. I remember this distinctly.

M2: Yeah, don't don't act like you care about like the history and preserving little things like that Disney World, because we all know that's not true. I don't want Space Mountain to be touched. So I would be unhappy with that.

M1: Here's the one part about Space Mountain that I I've said this to you before. When you're going up and there's that guy that he he's not even an animatronic. He's just like a figure. A statue with sunglasses on inside of like a a window. And I'm like, that thing, he gives me the creeps. Like, I feel like he's not been touched in like 50 years, and he's like just trapped in there. I I would be way too scared. I'm scared when we just go up. Wait.

M2: I love him. I love him. I love him. I might be him from Halloween. He's a statue. He's a statue. Let the man live. Could a control center. For a million dollars would you spend the night on the floor of that little control room? Okay. Well

M1: So what would be the ride that you would most want refurbed?

M2: Spaceship Earth is is a pretty good one, honestly. It might be that one just because it's like it's kind of like the headlining attraction of Epcot. Test track would have Test Trak was g was my pick for so so long, but now that that's gone, like it's hard for me to say. All right, let's get into a little bit more news.

M1: Yeah, it needs it. I agree.

M2: Nueimos are back. They're little tiny plush figurines that you can attach to your bag, and Disney took them away. Now it's been a couple of years, kind of randomly, not really clear why they did that. They're back. There's such demand for them that they are back. Kermit, Miss Piggy, a Steamboat Willy that I thought was a very dirty Mickey, and I have some lore with that one. Mickey, yeah, Disney put posted about it on Disney Springs page. Mickey, like Donald, Daisy, all of them.

M1: Wait, really?

M2: But I looked at that gray Mickey, which I thought was like a Mickey covered in dirt, and I What the heck? And it reminded me of I used to have these dolls as a child. There are five of them. Nice baby dolly was the first one. No, they weren't. They were five all five of them are different. Literally. Like just to be clear. No, they are. They're Have you seen them? Nice baby dolly, Hannah, Susie, Ellie, and Kristen. Allie and Kristen. I'll give I'll give you this. No, it's not. No, it's not.

M1: my god. They were all identical. No no they weren't. No, guys, Mama Mouse is listening right now. It's the exact same doll five times.

M2: Allie and Kristen look similar, I'll give you that. But Susie looks nothing like Kristen. And Hannah Anyway, nice baby Dolly was the first one I had. And I used to drag her around as a child and so much that she became like gray. I mean, Mama Massa washed it, like she's just permanently like her face is gray and she's dirty and pilled. Hannah's losing stuffing. Allie and Kristen were the newest, so those ones look good. They all look different though. That's what it reminded me of.

M1: Okay. Okay, they all look identical. The the thing about Nueimos is that they don't actually attach to a bag. You have to put like a hair tie on them to do it. And I feel like that's why Disney got rid of them, because they were trying to introduce like mini mixits and, you know, whatever, cutie cuffs, like other things that actually attach to bags. But at the end of the day, people just love Newemos, so I'm happy that they're back.

M2: Nuevo's also had clothing and stuff for a long time and that was the whole thing and they've since removed that.

M1: The clothing they took away a long time ago and I don't think that's back.

M2: No, I don't think it's coming back either, but

M1: The next thing, a lot of food and beverage prices increased at Disneyland. So most notably, people were talking about how popcorn is now seven dollars. We are not a popcorn family. I mean, we have bought popcorn at Disney like probably less than five times ever. We just don't really do that. So I guess I never knew how much popcorn cost. $7. I was gonna say that feels very steep for popcorn. I feel like popcorn is one of the cheapest.

M2: Yeah. Seven feels reasonable to me. I don't how how much does it cost at the movie theater?

M1: Things there is true, I guess.

M2: But think about going to the movies. seven doesn't surprise me. I did see the account food at Disneyland. He posted about hot coffee and it was like four fifty and now it's like five fifty for a thing of black coffee. And I said, that's tough. A thing of black coffee. I go to Starbucks and get a thing of black coffee for cheaper, and Starbucks is very expensive. And that's just like Disney coffee, not Starbucks. Other big news.

M1: That's steep.

M2: Isma.

M1: Hang on. I just need to find the boo button quickly.

M2: no, no, you don't. I've deleted the boo button. Isma is coming to Oogie Boogie Bash. Although I didn't think that was confirmed, I thought it was still a rumor.

M1: It was a rumor, but Disneyland, I believe, confirmed it later in the day.

M2: okay, because I only saw the rumor this morning. I am going to Oogie Boogie Bash after my honeymoon. As one stop. As one does with Mouse Lit A and Taryn. We have tickets. Stop. Seriously, stop. Enough. And I'm very, very excited. Why does no one ever hate on you for hitting the boo button so much? Honestly. It's unbelievable. Isma is one of my favorite villains. I seriously stop. I am so excited. So.

M1: Yeah. Cause they all feel my pain. They agree with me. I hang on, boo button.

M2: Huge, huge, huge news.

M1: Okay, another rumor is that Disney Cruise Line supposedly may be returning to New York. So back in the day, Disney Cruise Line had cruises that went out of New York. Honestly, I wish we knew about this at that time. I wish we were like taking cruises at that time. The thought of being able to get on a Disney cruise ship in New York, like I'm gleeful at the thought. That would be insane and amazing. We were not even remotely in the cruising community when this was happening. But

M2: In New York? my God. Same. I'm like, are you kidding me?

M1: I guess for years and years and years that this has not been the case. However, Cruise NYC, which is the you know, place that runs the Manhattan Cruise port, recently updated the schedule to add Disney as an option. So when you're filtering, Disney is now an option. There is a custom photo of Disney cruise ships in the Manhattan port. And then

M2: That they updated because previously it had been a very old one if you went to like an archived version of that.

M1: Yes, so they so it's clearly freshly new. It's not just like it mistakenly was added back or something. And under ship, there are three options Disney Dream, Disney Magic, and Disney Treasure. So no scheduled sailings actually popularly, but people think this could be like the tech work to show that these ships are coming back. Disney has been much more aggressively expanding their fleet in the last couple years. So we got the wish, the treasure, the destiny basically like one, two, three, I think years in a row.

M2: The adventure, but that's sort of different.

M1: Yeah, the adventure and then believe is coming next. So with all these new ships, perhaps they can sail out of New York again if that is the case. Catch me on one of those sailings. Can the treasure be a four day sailing from New York? I'll be honest.

M2: Yeah, can the treasure be a four day sailing, please? And we're not gonna talk about the cruise right now, but we are hopefully taking a cruise later this year, and we have this sort of thing that we just like are love the wish class that we feel like we can't downgrade. So if anyone has tips, let's talk about it later. But last little piece of news D twenty three, it's coming soon. It is in just under a month when you're listening to this. And the schedule was just announced. There's gonna be a lot more details that are coming out, but kind of the biggest things are that. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the Disney Experiences panel, which is like the big one where we find out a lot of the park news. We know who some of the Disney legends are. Ann Hathaway, Bob Iger, many others. Those are the two that come to mind of the rock.

M1: Rock, yeah, the rock. There's like a bunch. And then they announced a bunch of s they've announced pretty much all of the small panels. So I know there's like Joe Roadie is gonna be there doing signings of his new book. And I know that he's doing a special talk. There is a panel on like Muppets, something with Muppets and Music. Harley Weisell is listening right now screaming that I don't know the actual name of that one, but it's something with the Muppets and Music. There are a lot of interesting ones. There's a one hundred one Dalmatians one that we're missing because it's on Sunday after we fly out, which I'm sad about. It's like celebrating the anniversary. But there is like a special or not, there's some reservation system for the more popular panels. That's in on July 20th, I think. I wrote a note in my phone so that we didn't we didn't miss it. But I would say as D23 approaches, prepare for our news segment to kind of dwindle. Disney's gonna start probably holding back most of their news in preparation for D23. so yeah, we'll talk more about this for sure in the coming weeks, but that's a little preview.

M2: Darn. Ugh. Ooh, all right, let's stay on top of this. Let's stay top of this, so Our main segment today is underrated things at Disney World. We were talking about topics and we were kind of running through this list of all of these underrated Disney things and it felt like the perfect episode. So we each have a list of about 10, plus or minus. I assume we might have some overlap, but then I made my list and I was like, actually, I don't think we're gonna overlap on almost anything except maybe one of them. But we're gonna alternate and kind of talk and say if we agree if it's underrated or not. Why don't you kick it off? I'm very curious what your list is. I have no idea.

M1: I have no clue what yours is. My first one I think should be obvious if you know me. This is a ride that I love that I think is more kind of universally hated, but I love it. Do you know what I'm gonna say? The Tomorrowland Speedway.

M2: No. speedway stand unite.

M1: Speedway stands unite. That's what I always say when we're online. To me, the speedway is fun. It's whimsical. It's fun. It's interactive. I'm doing something. I love the speedway. I know that people notoriously do not like the speedway. Do I think the speedway could be perhaps better? Plused, yes. But I think the speedway is underrated and people don't like it. People hate on it. Because of the smell.

M2: Yeah, people do hate on it. I love ex I love the smell, but at Disneyland, they're now making them they have to upgrade to electric it's like California laws. Disney World is not getting that treatment yet. I would love to see this I love the Speedway as well. I'm a big Speedway fan. I would love to see them make it a true super highway of the future to fit in with Tomorrowland, or at least themed after like a retro r like something.

M1: I know you do. I I know you do. Something also too and I were talking about recently is that this little park that we used to go to when we were kids, Storyland, has antique cars. Like you're driving like, you know, one of the original antique cars. And when I was a ki Yeah, when I was a kid, I always thought the antique cars were also at Disney Worlds. It just made sense. You know, if they turn the speedway into like an antique car driving thing in fantasyland, drive Mr. Toad's car. I would love it.

M2: Mm. Like a model T. I would love that. I would love that. That's a good one. Yeah. Okay, I'll start my first one. This is one I think we may overlap on, but you might have kind of forgotten to do it. Is the Seas Pavilion because

M1: But I do think it's underrated. I I did think about that. I almost said the manatees specifically, but I didn't.

M2: I actually think the aquarium part so the Seas Pavilion has a very long history. They used to have another ride in there, these like el elevators that took you deep underwater. They had the sea cabs. Now it's a Nemo ride. They have Turtle Talk with Crush. I think that those things are fairly popular. I mean sometimes the Nemo ride when we were there recently was like seventy five minutes. God knows but

M1: my god. And guys, never wait. If you don't know, you can just walk through the gift shop to get in the pavilion. Never wait that long for that ride.

M2: Unless you really want to do that ride, but I'll be honest, it's no, don't do something else, honestly. But when you get in there, it's kind of dark and I feel like it's easy to not explore the pavilions, but the purpose of the pavilions at Epcot that they made them was to explore them. Like that was the whole intent of these Epcot pavilions. And when we walk through the back aquarium area, I am like so much more impressed now because my company holiday party

M1: No.

M2: was at the Boston aquarium, which everyone's like, this aquarium's amazing. And I was like, I'm excited, really. Like I as someone who never thought the seeds was that good. And then I went to the Boston Aquarium and I was like, my God, this is the Boston aquarium. This is an impressive aquarium. The Seas eats this for breakfast. So give it some love.

M1: I knew you were gonna say this. Here's the thing. I guess I haven't been to the Boston Aquarium. I actually haven't been to any aquarium outside of the C's anytime that I can remember, literally ever. And the C's to me is a little dingy. Could use perhaps a facelift.

M2: Wow. That's crazy. I agr I agree with that. It is a little bit dingy, but just go into any other aquarium and you'll realize it's a crown jewel. It's also air conditioned. The manatees are so fun. And then they have those little tanks that have like smaller things that are brighter and there's all this stuff to learn from and you can ask all the like I think it's a lot of fun. I have to cough, so please speak.

M1: Okay, my next one, my gosh, that was a violent cough, guys. I am okay, are you okay? Okay. My my next one is at Epcot. I think when you think of food at Epcot, you of course think of the World Showcase. And I agree, World Showcase is amazing. However, I think Sunshine Seasons is an oldie but a goodie. Sunshine Seasons actually has we don't eat there that frequently.

M2: I am Mm.

M1: Because again, festivals, world showcase, like i you just don't have that much of a reason to. But I feel like any time we do eat at sunshine seasons, the food is very fresh and they have a lot of healthy options that you perhaps would not expect.

M2: I agree. I think the land needs a little zhing, like in general. I do like the healthy food offerings there. I feel like the thing about that is that I can't really co it's not consistent. Like they swap things out, but not in a way that's like an exciting like this new thing is there. I never see anyone talk about it. But they just like randomly just don't have things almost. I'm like, you don't have this today? Speaking about the overnight oats is kind of what I'm talking about here. But that's a good one. I agree with that one. I'll do an Epcot restaurant, Spice Road Table.

M1: Yeah, they do swap things out too much. Like our overnight oats. Yeah.

M2: Spice for a table is in Morocco. It's the definition of underrated. Restaurant Marrakesh also, but they refuse to reopen it. But people blow right by the restaurants in Morocco. They constantly all have all these signs saying, like, eat here, try this. It actually makes me sad for it. People want to go to all of these other spots, but it's like actually, it's great. The Mediterranean food, Moroccan food, like that type of food is so good for you. You can get an absolutely amazing mimosa. Oops. Wait, what was it?

M1: Guys, we're at Spice Road table. Yes. Moussa to orders a mimosa. I said it was dinner. I said, interesting choice, but whatever. You know, you go off. She's drinking her mimosa out of a champagne flute, orange juice out of a champagne flute. And right, and she was like, hmm, this is kind of a weird sangria. I said, you did not order a sangria. You ordered a mimosa. If you don't know, sangria is wine with fruit in it.

M2: We've told the story like thirty times. Everyone's booing that we told the story again. What did I think I was getting? Yeah, that's what

M1: A mimosa is orange juice and proseco.

M2: And it was a blood orange. I was like, blood orange sangria. That sounds amazing. And then it came and I said, in a champagne sangria and a champagne flute. I don't drink that much. Spiceboard table is really good. It has little bites to share. It's not necessarily for picky eaters, although Mouse at one did okay there, but it you don't think it'd be a high on your list to go to again. But but yeah, it's so underrated and no one gives it a chance and no one talks about it. So there you go.

M1: Ha ha ha I liked it, but I wouldn't be rushing back, no. I I I would call it underrated. It's not my personal favorite, but I do think it's kind of one of the less popular there, which does make me sort of sad. Okay. Next up, I'm gonna move to a resort. And I'm gonna say that I think the pool at Riverside, at Port Elena's Riverside, is underrated.

M2: I think it's rated appropriately for people who go there, but I agree it's underrated for because I don't think people really know about it.

M1: Like, I don't know that anybody is looking at Riverside, comparing it to other resorts and being like, I should stay at Riverside because it has a really good pool. It's no beach and yacht club pool. Like, let's be clear. But as far as pools go at Disney, I think it's like a fun pool. It's one of our more favorite pools. Yeah, we really like that pool. If you haven't been to Riverside, it's also nice because you can use the pool at Riverside or French Quarter. Granted, I like the French Quarter pool.

M2: Yeah, I agree. It's like top top five for sure.

M1: Way less than the riverside pool.

M2: Yeah. Wait, describe what you like about the Riverside Pool for the people who have never been to that pool.

M1: It has it's like a more interesting shape. So there's kind of different places to like hang out and relax where you're not in the middle of the action where you are, but it also has this like island in the center with this kind of loop going around. And the island has some water stuff that comes off. But so you can kind of swim or like walk around the loop, dodge the water. It's just like something more interesting, more fun to do. And there's a slide.

M2: There's a sli yeah, the slide is fun. And yeah, I feel like when we walk around a circle, it feels like you're kind of in a lazy river like it just gives you something to do in the pool. I I agree. I the Port Orleans French quarter pool seems appealing from afar. It has like a miniature little slide that's like a serpent's tongue. it's to me that pool gives like town pool in the two thousands. Yeah, nineties, two thousands. I know

M1: Nineties. Yeah. People love that pool, so don't come for us, but

M2: It it's really geared towards pro like I think kids probably are just ex it's exciting. But the riverside pool is so good, I agree with that. I'll do a resort now too. I think this is gonna stir the po I have two resorts on my list. with like a third is a backup in case we overlap. I think that you're gonna disagree with this. But I think that Wilderness Lodge is underrated.

M1: I have Willie question mark on my list because to me it is underrated in a way.

M2: What? Yeah, because I think like obviously like Beach Yacht Boardwalk, they're right by Epcot, they're by Hollywood, those get like a lot of buzz. Riviera is new, it gets a lot of buzz. The Monorail Resort, Polynesian Contemporary, Grand all get a lot of buzz. Saratogan Old Key I'm talking Deluxe here, right? Saratogan Old Key West, they don't get a lot of buzz and it makes sense that they don't. I have another one on my list that I didn't mention. But Wilderness Lodge, I feel like is a little bit forgotten. A people are like, I like my my colleague, I keep being like, You would love Wilderness Lodge.

M1: The third host of this podcast, your colleague.

M2: No, literally. My colleague, the third host of this podcast, I'm like, You would love it. And my colleague is like, I don't know. You have to take a boat and I'm like, No. It has something so special. There's amazing dining. The theme is amazing. It's my favorite resort in the entire world. Like, it's so good.

M1: When when we were kids, we were not super well versed in Disney Resorts because we did not stay on property. However, we of course knew the big hitters. We knew Grand Floridian, Polynesian contemporary as you went through them. Even as we got a little older, we like knew the ones in the boardwalk area. Animal but I knew it because our friends stayed at Beach Club. So I like knew that it existed, I guess. I knew that Animal Kingdom Lodge existed because I'd heard that there were rooms where you could look out on the savannah. I don't know, they were just kind of like chatter, wilderness lodge to me.

M2: I like didn't for a very, very long time. Yeah, I guess that. Yeah.

M1: was a complete unknown. Never knew that existed. I think because it's kind of like more tucked away, it's not like on a transportation loop, even though it does have boat access to Magic Kingdom. It just feels like a little hidden gem. I understand it's not, but like it's not as hyped. It's not as hyped as the other deluxes.

M2: I agree. It is not as hyped. And I think once Lakeshore Lodge, Lakeside Lodge, whatever they named it, I think that might kind of put that area on the map a little bit more. But yeah, I do feel like Wilderness Lodge is so like quiet. And honestly, guys, if you're a Magic Kingdom and you're looking for something to do, or you're ro stay the Monterey Loop or wherever, take a boat over there because they have Whispering Canyon, which is a sit down restaurant. They have Geyser Point, which is quick serv like quick service.

M1: Which has one of my favorite burgers is a it's a bison burger from Geyser Point, but it's very, very, very good. Would you like to talk about your salad?

M2: Mouse Day I was gonna say Mouse Lidate goes, maybe Geyser Point and I Geyser Point is overrated, actually. They have if you're a vegetarian, sorry. They've got nothing.

M1: Maslato ha gets a salad there that she like I always have to eat at Geyser Point when we stay there. Cause she yes, so I make her eat there.

M2: It's lettuce and banana peppers. That's it. That's the only thing I can have in the menu. So I am trying to be flexible, but it that's not great.

M1: But you know what, Masleday? Good call. Geyser point is underrated if you're not a vegetarian. No, it is.

M2: No, it's not. It's okay. But they have seating there. They have the territory lounge, which is really fun. They have Roaring Four, quick service. They have Snow White Artist Po like which is brand they have an architectural tour. Like, there's so much to do there. Check it out.

M1: Storybook dining. We need to try that snow white dining. We need to. But we should

M2: It's expensive. I would do it if we dressed up in like a dopey and snow white costume. That'd be fun. We could put the Micklet in a dopey costume. That'd be kind of cute.

M1: I would like to try it. Like it would be fun. It would be. Okay, this next one I think I my guess is this is on your list, but it relates to Wilderness Lodge, which is the electrical water pageant. So the electrical water pageant, if you don't know, is something that was, I believe, original to Walt Disney World, if not it opened within like a year. And it's literally these floating barges that have basically what look like Christmas lights almost in designs that kind of move in like very slow motion, you know, like an what are you pointing to?

M2: That is on my list. Yeah. Yeah. This is concept art for the original iteration of the electric water pageant behind me. Nope, it's been here for years behind me. You do, you you know these ones. I'll send you a close up later.

M1: Is that new? Never noticed it. It has I can see it. I can see it now, but I've never noticed it until now. It has like an octopus that's like, you know, or a crocodile opening its mouth. But it's these floating barges. They do it to music. They light up at different times. And then in the end they turn to like stars and flags and they kind of move to the next resort. It is so quaint. It's so quintessential Disney. It's so cute. Whenever you catch a glimpse of it, like you're in your room.

M2: It's so quintessential Disney.

M1: And you're like, my gosh, I can see the electric water pageant. Or you happen to be down by the water or something. It's just so magical. It's the most random thing ever. It's literally run by like one guy driving a boat around. Yeah.

M2: With like a bunch of barges attached. It's crazy. I I think like my biggest core memory with that was when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge for the first time years ago. We like got out of the hot tub. It was freezing and we watched it. It was so cold. And it was yeah, that was so, so, so special. It is my favorite thing. They had a special 50th kind of section that literally made me cry. Like, it was so good. yeah, that I yes, that definitely made my list.

M1: Me too. It was January and freezing. It was so good for the fiftieth anniversary, yeah.

M2: Next one, okay, I'll do another one that I think might be on your list. The bird show at Animal Kingdom.

M1: No, but that's a good one that should have been on my list.

M2: The bird show at Animal Kingdom, so the or what was the show if you had no, what was the original show? That's the current show. What the there was the original show, which I thought was good, but they played this whole bit with like a fake tour guide. It was funny, but it was like a little tired. Then they did some like up version, which was abysmal. N now is Feathered Friends because they would bring out up characters, but they were the birds were scared of them, so they couldn't be on stage at the same time.

M1: Feathered Friends in Flight that's a current show. Terrible. And they also still had the cheesy stuff going on that just was like it was not working. They also like never even announced that they were getting rid of that version. They just kind of like turned it into Feathered Friends and Flight. But this version is amazing.

M2: And good. It's so good. It is one of our favorite things. Like it is a peach every single time we do it. It's always different because the birds do different things. The last show we were at, all the birds were completely misbehaving. It was so funny. They would none of them would do what they said. They were all flying away. Like, but and they still made it such a good show. Like, it's so cool. If you haven't seen it, and it definitely like, don't get a lightning lane for it. Also, let me tell you that. Don't get a lightning lane. You can just walk right in, like the lightning lane cue.

M1: It was so funny.

M2: It's the same thing. But it should have more hype. It should have a line 'cause it's so good.

M1: It's so good. I also there is a show that they do outside of the tree of life that's more of like a demonstration with macaws, like parrots. And it has a very similar name. I can't remember what it is. But don't get confused. The macaw show is good too, but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the one in the theater in Asia.

M2: Winged Encounters is the Macaw show.

M1: Okay, feathered friends and flight is what we're talking about. It's so good. There's a singing bird. It's so cool. Okay, let's see if you agree with me on this next one that it's underrated. I think that this counts as underrated. Toy Story Mania. Thoughts?

M2: You know, I considered 'cause I was trying to find something else for Hollywood Studios, and I considered putting that on my list. And I said, you know what? No, I don't think it's underrated. I think it's I think it's rated pretty well. Maybe a little.

M1: Okay, I think Okay. Like to me, looking objectively, not at which right is newer or whatever. Slinky Dog, Toy Story Mania. To me, Toy Story Mania is better. Slinky Dog.

M2: Yeah, I completely agree, although most people I don't think would agree, but I agree for sure.

M1: Everyone in the comments, please let me know what you think. I'm genuinely curious. To me, Slinky Dog is a fine, cute kiddie roller coaster. It's nothing amazing, it's nothing special, it's fine, it's good. Toy Story Mania is so interactive and unique and fun. It's such like a different type of ride. To me, Toy Story Mania is without a doubt the better of the two rides. But Slinky Dog gets all the hype. And I think in general, Hollywood Studios has so many like heavy hitter rides that if you were to rank them, Toy Story Mania is typically like Pretty far down the list, but to me

M2: For a lot of people. Yeah, that's one of my it's like top, top tier in the park. I I agree with that generally. I I do think f for Hollywood. I went through everything from Hollywood and everything that I well, I I have one thing on my list, but

M1: I love it. Did you list aliens whirling saucers? Like that's the only ride that's kind of like yes.

M2: That's perfectly perfectly rated. Star Tours, like everything is perfectly rated. Like I was like, Pizza Rizzo, that's gone. Citizens of Hollywood, that like everything that I possibly could have said, the villain store like is is gone. So everything is perfectly rated now there. but one that I have that's Hollywood adjacent, I think that the walkway to Hollywood Studios from the boardwalk is underrated. And I don't know if you'll agree, although we have had some nice walks on it. I think everyone's like someone shaking your head now. I think everyone's like, you can walk to Epcot's so nice. I'm like, You can walk to Hollywood and I walked home after an event once with a couple people and it was a peach of that trip. Like I love Mouse Leday said that too. Yeah, I love that walkway. What's your deal? It's beautiful, it's right by the water.

M1: To me, that walkway is perfectly rated. People say it's so close, easy to get Debcot. And also, yes, you can walk to Hollywood Studios if you choose. And yeah, you can.

M2: No, people act like it's like two miles though. People are like, my god, it's like no, it's a pleas it's a very pleasant, amazing walk.

M1: It's a nice, fine walk. I think it's rated appropriately, personally. Okay, I'm gonna pull like out a real random one here. I feel like this probably isn't on your list, but I think that you'll agree with me. Yeehaw Bob.

M2: I love it. No, it's un it's underrated for sure. not on my list, but agreed.

M1: So Yeeha Bob is a pr he's a man. Mouse Liday thought he was an animatronic. Let's be clear. He is a live human man who does performer.

M2: performer who performs on a little stage and like and looks like a human.

M1: Yes, Port Orleans Riverside, I think uniquely kind of for a moderate has like well, I guess I guess no, I guess other moderates have them. I don't know.

M2: Should you've put Port Orleans Riverside potentially as your as you rate it?

M1: Yeah, but honestly, potentially. Portalite Serviceside Standover here. It has like a lounge area that is feels very much kind of like a little bar that I which I don't know. It's kind of rare for Disney. Yeah, the Puffins Roosted in there, Yiha Bob, certain nights, performs. He's an extremely talented piano player and he does kind of like a joke type show playing the piano. It's musical. He's really, really funny.

M2: The puffin spruce, we were just talking about it.

M1: He's very talented. He's on like the show is so random that it happens there. I feel like absolutely nobody goes to it unless they're staying at Portland's Riverside. But it's so fun. We've only seen it. I know we saw it once in COVID because we were wearing masks and all the pictures.

M2: Yeah. It wasn't even COVID. It was our Guardians trip in May of twenty twenty two and we were still really strict about masks that we would wear them in big crowds. I s I st I support us. You go girls. You go girls.

M1: I support us for that. But yeah, we were we were wearing masks watching him, but he's really good and I would we haven't seen him in a really long time. And if you're looking for something like different that's like kids would definitely like it. He's very kid friendly. But like if you're looking for something kind of different that's like a show at night, I highly recommend.

M2: Yeah, he's silly, he's funny. That's a good one. I agree with that. okay, my next one, I know you're gonna disagree with this, but this is the truth. And the day that they take this away, I will chain myself to the roots because it's the Swiss family tree house. No. It's not perfect it's not perfectly rated. Back in no, no. I don't want to hear your beef with one of my favorite attractions. There is a little unused portion of the queue, and someone just posted about again on TikTok, and I was like, God.

M1: Perfectly rated, perfectly rated. I have beef, I have beef. I'll say it after. Go ahead.

M2: This and I thought, you know what? And so did that person who posted it, I assume. This attraction does deserve a cue. People don't understand. Okay, why don't we plop a spinner ride there? Like it brings such life to the park, this cool thing up in the tree. It is such a unique attraction. It is so underrated because most people blow past it. If it was perfectly rated, why does it have a five minute wait at all times?

M1: Because it's moving constantly. People can walk right through. Here's my beef. We recently watched Swiss Family Robinson, which we were huge fans of as kids. I will say I don't know that it held up as much as it did when I was a kid. But we we loved it as kids. Loved it.

M2: Like I no, I still liked it. I still liked it. I spent the whole time trying to being worried the pirates are coming. It's a little scary.

M1: yeah. The tree house doesn't really look that much like the thing from the movie to me. It's just kind of like a tree house that people lived in.

M2: Well. No, the kitchen does and the rooms and stuff. Maybe the layouts a little No, yeah. No, it doesn't.

M1: Not r not even really, no. And so that's bothered me since I was a kid, again as a huge fan of that movie. It's kinda like, okay, this is just sort of a random treehouse. This doesn't look like the movie to me.

M2: I don't know if I agree with that. I I think everyone needs to give this a shot and the reason Mouse at one won't do it these days is she doesn't want to walk up all the stairs, which is crazy energy of you. Okay. Well you were supposed to go next, but now you're blowing your nose, so I'm just gonna have to kind of add live and talk here, waiting for you to get into your next one. TMI, TMI, TMI.

M1: That's the truth. I just got a huge like the tickle that was just in my nose, I cannot even describe. Okay, I guess I'll kind of stuck stick with my Port Orleans suction, which I do have one more. Scat cats.

M2: my god. Okay. Scat Yes, Scat Cats is good. I have another one, Porter Leeds Adjacent. That's my last one, so No, it has to be last.

M1: Okay, you can do that one next. Scatcats. Okay, Scat Cats is the jazz lounge at Port Orleans French Quarter this time. Y'all like us. We were actually talking about this recently because we're very excited that they're opening the Hurly Burley Lounge in place of Jelly Rolls. It's going to be a jazz club as well, which I think is a really fun idea because the issue with Scat Cats is it's kind of inaccessible. It's like harder to get to. And they also only have the jazz band play like.

M2: You like jazz? Yeah.

M1: two nights a week and they're I will say kind of random nights. I don't I I don't remember what they are, but I wanna say it's like Wednesday, Thursday or something.

M2: Think it's like three nights, but it's hard to get seats there too. we end up like kind of yeah, in the corner. Like it it is it's small. It's like a little tiny thing, but it is so good, yeah.

M1: Or like staking out a table, but It's so fun. They used to have these amazing savory beignets that they got rid of, which is a huge bummer to me. But when we took our parents there, it was Papa Mouse. Let's like peach of the entire trip. It's just a really, really fun, really different thing. The band is super talented. It's just like, I think it's very underrated people. Again, the type of thing that people don't really go to unless they're staying there.

M2: Yeah, I agree with that. Okay. I've I'm trying to kind of I'm reordering a little bit here. I think the next one I'm gonna say is water parks, specifically Blizzard Beach. I think Typhoon Lagoon gets kind of a lot of hype, and I'm like, okay, 'cause we've been to Typhoon Lagoon one bazillion times for some reason in the past couple years. I just like I live at Typhoon Lagoon now. And I like some things at Typhoon Lagoon. Like I wouldn't mind going back. I feel like it's been a bit. But Blizzard Beach, the superior water park, honestly. For sure, no question. Like

M1: For sure. Our family Blizzard Beach.

M2: Blizzard Beach and I feel like especially and this isn't like everyone, but when you think of like social media and what people talk about, like even like other creators and influencers, no one talks about Blizzard Beach. I'm like, Wh everyone's obsessed with Typhoon Lagoon. I I'm sure that people go as like families go when they're open and stuff. I think Typhoon Lagoon is typically open in the summer more, although it's they're both open right now, everybody. But Blizzard Beach is so much better.

M1: I was just watching a video, I'm sure it was like a TikTok. Someone was basically pitching that they thought that Disney should build a third water park. Okay, but Okay. We were watching different videos, because the one I was watching was he was saying that Disney should build a third one. But he said Disney has two water parks that are so unbelievably themed. Their themes are amazing. To me, Blizzard Beach has a really cool great theme. Typhoon Lagoon's theme.

M2: I saw that and I totally agree. That they should refix Blizzard Beach, I mean. No, I saw that one.

M1: Is okay, but it's mostly just kind of like beach, which to me is the most predictable theme ever for a water park. I don't know, it's just not like a crazy theme. It's cute, but Blizzard Beach is cool. Me too.

M2: There are things I like about it. Like I like that it's like there was a typhoon and they have the like the reference to you know the oceaneer and like the, you know, Society of Explorers and Adventurers and stuff. Blizzard Beach is a better theme. That video also went on to say, or maybe with the him talking in the comments or part two, 'cause I did see that video, that he said also like upgrade it. Here's a fun fact. They were gonna build actually I'll save this to the end. Okay. This is my fun fact of the day.

M1: Yes. Melsa 2's really sort of having interesting. Okay. I'll do one that's sort of related, which is one other pool on my list, the target pool at the contemporary.

M2: my god, the target pool's obviously on my list as well.

M1: Our favorite pool on property for simply vibe purposes. So this is a pool. Mouse too is yawny this episode. This is a pool that is built almost on like a dock over the lake at contemporary. So on three sides, you're surrounded by the lake. And it is literally just a big circle pool. Picture a circular hot tub, but way bigger and way deeper.

M2: Sleepy

M1: All around it's that deep.

M2: Deeper and it has it has like a spiral inside really a target of these dark blue, light blue colors. There used to be another pool at Contemporary that was a big square that had that kind of similar pattern, but this is one that's left. They also had a little kids' pool that looked like that. It's people think it's an adult only pool. Let's keep that alive. you have a baby now, but

M1: Yeah, it's it's not an adult only pool, but everyone is always at the main pool. And because this pool is it it has only basically one depth, and it is like pretty deep. Not pretty deep. It's yeah, it's like four and a half feet or something though. It's probably not really optimized for kids, but it is so serene. It being on the water like that, it's kind of tucked away, but like you're still near the action. It's so fun to be in a pool. I don't know, something about the shape, just the depth.

M2: It is pretty deep for k Yeah. Something about it, the depth, the circular nature of it. Like, if I could right now, in this moment, transport myself to a pool, like I think I would choose the target pool. It's an impeccable vibe. In fact, yeah, we need to get back to Contemporary Bailey Tower to stay there for sure. And introduce the family to it. We should plan our family trip ASAP. Okay. My next one. I'm gonna do the one that closes out on Port Orleans. I I kind of put this as general, but

M1: I love that pool. We do. Okay.

M2: Resort activities, not necessarily what like the resort activity cast members planned, although I think those are probably great too. But like I kind of had a list. One of our peaches from Stang Wilderness Lodge was playing cornhole. It was so much fun. One of our peaches from Port Orleans was riding a surrey around. Like we once sat at the boardwalk, me and Mel Sade at Riviera too. We watched the movie. Like they have these like just little things that you wouldn't even think would be such a highlight of your trip, but then they are. And those little kind of built in things I think are so the surries we wrote, yeah, at Port Orleans, that was like a huge peach. Just little resort type activities, even at Caribbean Beach, like going on a walk by that playground area on that island. Like it's just it's so fun. Me and Mama Mouse colored pictures in the Caribbean Beach lobby once.

M1: I completely agree. I did not have that on my list, but I feel like I should have. There's so many little hidden things that are not, yeah, they're not even that heavily advertised. But it's like when you find something, like you said, playing cornhole that one time at Wilderness Lodge was literally a peach. Just randomly. It was just so serene. We were chatting, we were relaxing, like it was so much fun. We just stumbled upon it. It's not really the type of thing you can plan, but when you stumble upon those activities and like really get into them, I think they're so fun.

M2: Renting boats. I'll I'll the last one I'll say about that is me and Mama Mouslit when we stayed at All Star Movies recently, we roasted marshmallows and it was so fun and we just popped on it and it was just like such a little surprise. Even just like walking through the gift shops, just like general resort activities. So yeah.

M1: All right, how many more should we do?

M2: I d I mean three each?

M1: Okay, fine. next up I'll do a restaurant that I think people like, but I don't know. I don't think people will understand how good it is, which is Liberty Tree Tavern. Thoughts?

M2: That was literally highlighted on my list to do next. That's insane. I have it highlighted number eight right now. Yes, I completely agree. I said it to Mouse Leday. She's like, I don't know. And I said, No, you know what? I think it kind of flies under the radar. I think there's people who go there and they go there 'cause they've always gone there. But speaking as people who didn't go there for a long time, we were just like, What? And we just never really paid attention to it.

M1: Yes, the people who know, but I feel like so many people, Magic Kingdom food is notoriously not that good, which is true. And so it's just kind of like, meh, yet another Magic Kingdom, like meh, restaurant. And they just kind of ignore it. We ignored it for so long. Never would have occurred to me to go there. And then people are like, it's Thanksgiving food. And I don't know. I'm kind of like, gimmicky. But it's so good.

M2: I thought you were saying it was gimmicky. That was confusing the way you just phrased that. back. Yeah. No, it's so good and the theme is fun. The cast members are all always great. Like I find when I'm there, I always drink a ton of water. Maybe the food is salty, but in a good way. the Johnny Appleseed vegan dessert is one of my favorite vegan desserts. my god, you what's underrated? The cookie loaf. But rest in peace at Garden Grill, because it's no longer there, so I couldn't include on the list. okay.

M1: No, I thought when people said Thanksgiving food, I like, Meh, that's sort of gimmicky, like I'm not enticed by that. I knew you were gonna say that. Okay, what's yours?

M2: My next one is PhotoPass. And I think that there are some people that are obsessed with PhotoPass, but I think that there are a lot of people kind of like us that are not Photo Pass people at all, but should be PhotoPass people. I upgraded my Annual Pass to buy PhotoPass. it was like I don't know how much. It was, I think a hundred dollars. that's that's what is in my mind. It was a hundred dollars, but it's hard to say because it was a part of the renewal. I think it's so worth it. I have loved that we have been able to just use photo pass, go snap some pictures. I love getting the ride photos. It's just fun to get them. And it just is like nice it's like you see someone, you're like, Let's just get this picture and they've really leveled up. They really have leveled up like like, yeah.

M1: I was gonna say, hot take, Photopass got re new cameras recently, okay? Before Photopass got those new cameras, personally, I did not like Photo Pass photos, okay? The way that the cameras took the pictures, not any fault of the Photopass photographers, just the cameras that they were given. I really did not like how those pictures looked. I could immediately spot and say, that's a photo pass picture. I just did not like it. They're new cameras, I think.

M2: The pictures were trash. Yeah, potato.

M1: now make me want to use PhotoPass more because the picture it doesn't have that particular look. It just looks like a nice photo now. And I do think it's nice. However, when I say it's underrated, I kind of think that people are obsessed with PhotoPass.

M2: No, no, but I think there's like a niche genre of people who are obsessed with photopaths, but there's people like us who don't really use it and don't really get it. Like the people who love it have always loved it, and then everyone else is just like, meh like no. And honestly, if that had been around when we were kids, we would have a lot more pictures of the mom in it 'cause she took all the pictures of the family.

M1: That's true. However, another hot take from me: Photopaths, magic shots, hmm, I could do without.

M2: No, you're you're having an experience with that because th we had like three cast members on the last trip spend like five to ten minutes with us on both times doing very many and I appreciate it 'cause I did the Pride ones and I got a bunch of great pictures. Yeah.

M1: Many, many magic. No. And that's what they're supposed to do. That's what they're supposed to do. However, personally, like one magic shot when we're all maybe like smiling at the camera or something and something pops in, totally fine. However, a lot of times the poses we have to do. I personally just don't think that I'm really rocking it in these poses. And then I'm just kind of like.

M2: The back. My mouseless lore with the pose is me and Mouselit three in June of twenty eighteen on our trip. Twenty eighteen lore is that they were like making all these couples do all these bizarre, I think I've told the story before, but do all these bizarre poses, not bizarre, but like couple y poses. We're like, my God, this photopath photographer is gonna think that we're a couple. And so we and so we were both sitting there in line. We're like, sister and brother trip. It is so fun to be here as a sister. We're like going on and on. My other piece of mouse lit's lore is that me and Mouselit A are in a relationship and she said like celebrating anything and I think I think I said we just got married or something and sh she goes married to each other She took great pictures though but I was like James

M1: Okay. On our last trip, you had a little speaking of Nuimo's Mickey Nuimo on your bag, and one of those photopath photographers who was doing her job, working it for us with the camera with the magic shots, but she was sort of making the Mickey Nuimo, the star of a lot of photos, with a special bubble wand for him, special shots of us looking at him. It was like a photo shoot centered on this Mickey Nuimo.

M2: Yeah. I love I I haven't even seen how those turned out, if I'm being honest. I don't think I ever looked. It was special. It's and like that is exactly what they should be doing. But

M1: Yeah. It was it was in front of the castle when it was about 115 degrees in the blistering sun.

M2: And we were I think trying to snap. I saw the photographer and I like you know what? You know what's actually crazy? They didn't give us any of those photos. No, I'm not joking. They did give us some magic shots with the b with a bubble, but there's not like anything that has

M1: Are you kidding me? Because they probably were like, people aren't in these photos. Guys, it was like close ups of the Numimo. It was it was fun. It was just a little too hot.

M2: I loved it. It was fun. Moving on. No, I need to stand up for that cast member. I love that cast member and I love the energy in giving me a unique picture. So

M1: Okay, moving moving right along. No, me too. Me too, to be clear. Okay, my next one. I don't think that you're gonna agree that this is underrated, but maybe you are. Soren.

M2: I I you know what, th when you started out the first one, you said you were building it up, I like, she's definitely gonna say Soren But then I was like, That would be ridiculous. Soren isn't underrated at all.

M1: I think Soren is Soren often has like a 10 minute wait.

M2: No, not often, just in the morning. It gets up to like thirty, forty. No, it's forty said consistently forty.

M1: And in the afternoon, said I think Soren is underrated. Again, there's other Reds at Epcot that people just prioritize more. It's kind of like old news to people these days. Maybe I'll it'll get a refresh now that it's a new movie. But I think Soren is so quintessential Disney. I absolutely love it. I think it hits every time. And I think it's underrated these days. It doesn't have that long of a line.

M2: No, I I totally disagree. It it I just think that's wrong. I think people love it. I think it's perfectly rated. I'm trying to decide 'cause I know what my last one is. We have two more, right?

M1: Yeah, and it sounds like your last one is like a big bang and I've kind of been going down my list and doing from like best to worst. So

M2: Dwindling to like the worst ones left. I have I have two. I'm gonna kind of tack demonies together. Animal Kingdom Watch and the Rainforest Cafe.

M1: Absolutely not. Where's the boo button? Hang on.

M2: Okay Don't Don't Don't Both Both Animal Kingdom Lodge is underrated. That was the one I left off of my list when I talked Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge 2. People look down on it. Every time I stay there, I have a fantastic time. People don't like it because it's far away from the other parks. It's not that far. And if they had a special transportation system to Animal Kingdom, everything would be different. But they just have the buses.

M1: And I'm looking to watch yes, Rainforest Cafe now. So when you get on a bus, if the bus takes seven minutes or thirteen minutes, you're just not really paying attention. I don't know. I just I just don't think it matters that much. It's not that far away.

M2: It's like it's Yeah. It's not that far away. Rainforest Cafe. you know, I was at Rainforest Cafe is which is closing soon at Disneyland, Paris, too. I've gone twice this year and I had an amazing experience both times. I feel like people are sleeping on the Rainforest Cafe. In fact, this is actually sad. I almost can't say it. But as we were walking, I mean he was fine, but as we were walking out the back entrance, there was a cast member or a rainforest cafe worker. I guess it's not a cast member, a worker at the Rainforest Cafe, a bartender.

M1: Multiple multiple times.

M2: in the outdoor bar, not a soul out there and he said, Have a drink, have a drink before your meal, please Because we said we have a reservation to make on the way back. Please have a drink. We said that

M1: Why didn't you? Stop. Stop. Why wouldn't you have gotten a drink with him? You should have. I don't care. You should have just gotten a drink.

M2: I didn't want a drink. I didn't want a drink. It's a regret. He was fine though. It's a nice easy day for him. But I but guys, bring back Rainforest Cafe. I'm their number one fan, okay? Bring them back. Me and Mel Soley.

M1: You and Malceday are Mal Seday has always been obsessed with it and you've jumped aboard the train.

M2: That's I mean I I stand that. Yeah. Jollywood is underrated. Yeah, no, it is underrated.

M1: Thoughts? It's underrated. People don't get it. People don't get it. People don't know. It doesn't sell out the same way that other events do. They don't have it as frequently.

M2: If and if you know, you know, and if you don't know, it's hard to know. And I understand why you get think that.

M1: If you don't know, we couldn't have more content explaining to you why this is underrated. So just go back and you can find about a million episodes from us about Jollywood, but it's underrated.

M2: Yeah. It's my it's my number one do not miss event of the year in real life, too, of all events that I do in life. It's so good. People love very merry. Jollywood got a bad reputation because the first night was a disaster. Speaking as people who were at the first night, it was not great and thought that it was bad. So we understand. It is so good. It is what you make of it in the best way. Getting ready, like, my God, so many peaches. My yearly peaches are Jollywood. I totally agree with that.

M1: It's so good. I and thought that it was bad. So we were It's so fun. It's so fun.

M2: okay, my last one, and sorry, let me delete the boo button quickly. My last one is and you can yeah, get ready to clap and cheer. American Adventure at Epcot Woo!

M1: Nope.

M2: Yeah. Okay. American Adventure at Epcot, pr one of my favorite shows on Disney property. It is a spectacular show. I've learned so much about American history there. The number of animatronics that are in it is incredible. The different scenes, it highlights America in a great in a a great way that captures the American history properly, is what I'll say. It is so good. It is so good. I would see it, I would watch it almost every day. Two brothers on their way.

M1: Wow. Okay. I can't relate to that at all. I think honestly it's perfectly rated. However, I did recently see a video. It must have been on one of the Disney Parks like social accounts. And it was showing how that theater like functionally worked and how these huge set pieces go down and then go underneath the audience. It was actually extremely cool.

M2: No, it's so no one everyone hate Yeah, it is extremely cool. I totally agree.

M1: Okay, I wouldn't say the show itself is extremely cool, but the way that they were doing the sets was cool, and that was very interesting. However, I would say that it is perfectly rated.

M2: No, it is underrated. Okay, that was our list. I mean, I could go on and on. I think in in the future we're gonna do an overrated one because every time I thought of something, I was like, that's actually overrated. I have so many overrated ones. But we need to get into our special segment. This is a longer episode, which we always say, but I'm g I'm making a special segment bit. I just want everyone to know that, but for now, Mouse 3 has told we need a little transition. It is now time for our special segment. We thought we would just do a little get to know us, get to know the hosts of Sister Sisters.

M1: Me too. I have so many overated.

M2: If you follow us on socials, you know some stuff. If you're newer to the podcast or maybe our YouTube, you might not know as much about us. So we're gonna run through who we are, where we're from, what we

M1: What you did as long as you love me. Guys, you might get copyrighted for that song 'cause we just sing it so perfectly. we thought we would start in college, talking about our college majors, what we majored in. Mouse let us is pretty obvious, so you wanna knock it out?

M2: Sure. I'll start back flipping back probably about sixteen years before college, when I was in preschool, and I wanted to be a professional ice skater. as one does. I took ice skating I was in ice skating lessons and we had a big ice skating rink in our town. Anyway, then I wanted to be a marine biologist for many, many years. 'cause I love dolphins. Big dolphin girl.

M1: Which is so off brand for you, I have to say. Just saw a meme that was like, Why did being a marine biologist have like a chokehold in our generation? Like what? Like

M2: No, actually. No, literally. Like no, actually. And we went to Seaworld and I wanna and I watched the Mary Kate and Ashley movie and I wanted to work at SeaWorld. So I went but then I started taking engineering classes in high school. I went to WPI, which is Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, and I actually wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but I was leaning towards environmental engineering. So I came in and I was like, Yeah, I think I'm environmental 'cause I really like like all I honestly Genuinely, I'm dead serious. I loved Ellen's energy adventure and I think it really inspired me. It's for alternative modes of things. Turns out way too much chemistry in that, and it's really not what you think it is. sorry, environmental engineers, but I ended up finding my home with civil engineering. I'm a civil engineer who loves Disney. You probably know that. With a concentration in urban and environmental planning, because I always have loved a random abandoned things and urban planning kind of ties that together. But now I'm in transportation. So that's kind of where I found my My full career path.

M1: I guess I'll go back. I always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a kid. I loved working with kids. There was like there was like one week when I wanted to be a cake decorator at our look grocery store because they were decorating my cake and let me come back there and do it, and it was so fun. But I mostly wanted to be a teacher. However, when I was in high school, I started coaching gymnastics at the place that I had done gymnastics. And I said, actually, this is exhausting. And I don't think I want to be around kids this much. So I no longer wanted to be a teacher.

M2: Can't imagine that.

M1: I went to a liberal arts school and I wanted to major in French and international relations. I kind of had no idea what I wanted to do. Yeah. I took an international relations class and I said, ooh, I'm actually more interested in the business side. So I transferred into our business school to do like international business. And then one of the foundational courses we had to take in the business school was marketing. And so I ultimately became a marketing major. I also ended up just minoring in French.

M2: That's like what our grandma did though. Like it's kind of in the family.

M1: Because literally I went to the first class of a class on Francophone Africa because there's a lot of French dialects spoken in African. And the professor was a woman who spoke one of those dialects and she just started speaking in it. And she said, You'll pick it up. It sounds nothing like French. And I took like two days of the class and I said, I'm gonna fail this class. I have to drop. And if I didn't take that class, I couldn't major. So I only minored in French and also I randomly minored in philosophy.

M2: That's weird. I like d I hate philosophy. Like despise. I would never there was like minors were like not really a a a thing at my school per se. something that is funny is that what led us to the mouth I mean, your industry I mean, civil engineering has ended up becoming adjacent because I've made it adjacent, but you're kind of adjacent, but a lot of this stuff, most of the things we do in the mouselets we had to just kind of learn on our own. Photography from our photography era, of course. but anything like social media editing.

M1: Yeah. Obviously. I never actually worked in marketing. Yeah. Like I learned stuff in school, but my first job, I was looking for anything in marketing or branding. So I would just like search the word like marketing, branding, brand. And I ended up in a position that had the word brand in the title, but I actually didn't really understand what the position was at all. But I like didn't really care. I just wanted a job. It was had nothing to do with branding. It was like a client relations position.

M2: Yeah.

M1: But it was at that company that I met someone who put me into my role now. By complete chance, he met me in one meeting and was like, you should apply to this position on my team. And I said, okay, my job's boring. And that's how I ended up what I do now. I work in tech. I work in product management, which is where I basically like work on a website and I decide what we should do next and how we should do it. And then I have a team of engineers and designers who actually do it.

M2: When I it's funny, like kind of similar thing when I started at my job, I was splitting time between just general like transportation engineering and planning. And that was like what I was hired to do. And then one day they said, You're gonna work for the traffic manager, but you're still gonna do all that work and then I never did the work again. Which actually like I didn't like for a while, but now I've happy. So like it worked, but wasn't what I had thought I was gonna do. okay, a fun fact about us This is one of our our best fun facts, I think, is that we were baton twirlers as children. There was a baton twirling troupe in our h el elementary school and in our town, I guess. We performed in a minor league I just learned that there's like three different types of minor league baseball teams. It was like the second level, but a minor league baseball halftime show.

M1: The team no longer exists. It was like the it was the nine or league team in Connecticut. It doesn't exist anymore. It was the new Britain Rockcats. And like

M2: Well now there's the yard goats, but yeah, one in the same basically. So

M1: Yeah, and so we got to go to the New Britain Rotcad Stadium and perform. And as kids, or at least personally, I did not really understand the difference between a minor league and a major league game. So I was basically like, I'm performing for the Red Sox. Like And I was. I was. I was batoning my heart out. Mm-hmm.

M2: Yeah, yeah, I mean and and I was. Like I honestly was. We performed in parades and we still have our batons and we'll pick up sometimes. We're not too good, but iconic.

M1: iconic. We were pretty good at the t at the time. We that was like one of the things that we did together. We're two years apart. most of the activities we did were separate and did like didn't really overlap. We both played soccer as a kid, but when I was in fourth grade I had to decide if I was gonna try travel soccer or do like competitive gymnastics. And I picked gymnastics. So I did gymnastics my whole life. That was kind of I wasn't honestly that good. But I liked it and I ended up coaching.

M2: We were decent. She once fell off a beam and like literally ripped her face to shreds. Remember that?

M1: Yeah, I f I was I got scared and I flipped off of it and I missed the mat and I landed on a rug and I rug burned like half of my face. That was horrible. I actually forgot about I forgot about that.

M2: That was crazy. I played soccer. I played travel soccer. I played soccer in college. So I continued my soccer all the way through college. that was like one of my biggest things. As a kid, I loved playing in a treehouse that Papa Mouse that built us a tree house and I loved to r to go in that treehouse. Look

M1: We a trio and we also had a fort under our deck. Do

M2: And we had a creek in the backyard and we would plane that creek all the time.

M1: We sound like we lived in like the wilderness and we didn't. We lived in a very normal suburb.

M2: No, we lived in a neigh like a neighborhood, but we did have a treehouse, which is really fun. I hear a squeaking wheel. Is there a squeaking wheel potentially? Is someone pushing a cart? Stop squeaking that pen. Stop

M1: It's like the squeaky shoes. I always reference the dogs from Aristocat's squeaking shoes. If you know, you know. Because Mouse Latoo's shoes are always squeaking.

M2: I have a pair of shoes at work that I I literally need to bring to a cobbler because they s are squeaking now. So, yeah, those are some things we liked as a kid. There are a bunch of other things. We liked math. We liked weird things like that too.

M1: I was gonna say we liked calico critters a lot. We had critter collections, which Mama Mousel got rid of, and I'll never We never

M2: And she's like, You said that we could. No, we loved our American girls. That's a big one. We had a full room. We got American Girl doll every single year for Christmas. We had a w our like a walk in closet that wasn't being used. That we had like multiple stories. We had all the beds and we turned into that was probably our biggest passion, honestly.

M1: I think I had 10 and you had nine American Girl Tolls. We because we got one every year until we were like pretty old. I loved American Girl Tolls. We still have them all.

M2: Yeah. Yeah. I still love them now. I still love them now. So they're so fun.

M1: Yep. Who is my first one was Samantha, which I feel like was so classic. Who was your first one?

M2: Was it Kit? Maybe it's Amantha.

M1: I don't Kit was my third one. I got Samantha, Josefina, Kit, then I kinda lose the order, but those are my first three.

M2: I I don't know if I know my order, but I I Samantha Kit and Molly were my first three.

M1: Yeah, you had Molly way before me. Anyways, we were big American Girl Doll kids. We also both took piano lessons for a long time. Mama Mouslet kind of forced us. I didn't really like it at the time. Looking back, so glad that she made me do that.

M2: Same, although I will s I also play the violin. I'm also that one played the clarinet, kind of.

M1: I played the clarinet through eighth grade.

M2: And you also played the bass clarinet, which was crazy of you. I will never forget that I once got in the bus. We had this bus route that was going around this is this is just a little bit of random mouseless lore. Related to my violin. We had these two friends and one of them played the cello, one of them played the violin, and our bus route was so busy that we would every single seat would have three to a seat, no matter what. And if sometimes there was an extra person and then you'd have to try to go forward to a seat or the the single seat would have to fit two people. It was that busy.

M1: And the bass clarinet.

M2: And I had to sit there with my backpack and my violin, my friend's backpack and her violin, and then the older ones back and cello. All in one seat. They did. They eventually split the bus routes of and they split us from them and we weren't on the same bus route as them anymore. It was insane. I played the violin for a while. One thing I will say about our instruments is that we didn't really like to practice and like I kind of was stopped squeaking that pen. I was pretty happy that I no one else can hear it, so, but I can guys.

M1: Why didn't they get another bus route? Like another bus. It sounded like they needed to. Ha ha ha.

M2: We sort of had natural skill and not in a way that's bragging, but like in a way that it kind of carried us to not ha we got by. Like I always was in first violin, but I never practiced, so I wasn't in second violin, but I like I'm not sure

M1: We got by yeah, we got by without ever practicing. Yeah. my god. They we played this song. This is an eighth grade for clarinet. We played a song. It was literally from like Barnum and Bailey's circus. Okay. It was impossibly hard. I couldn't do it. I could not do it. Again, I didn't really practice. So like my sort of natural skill could not carry me through the song. It was way too hard. And I just like pretended. You know, whatever. And she literally would like put me in first chair, first clarinet. Well, there were two other people who played clarinet who worked so hard.

M2: Used to pretend it.

M1: And they were not in yeah. And I don't know why I sh like I obviously wasn't gonna be like, don't put me here. I don't actually know it, because then I would have probably gotten in trouble. but yeah, for some reason I was first year at first clarinet and I did not deserve it. We never practiced. Also, Mama Mouselit hated when we forgot our instruments because she had to drive all the way to the school to bring them to us. And so if you like it, if you forgot your instrument, we would be like, No, no, cry cra calling Mama Mouselit, like

M2: I know who they are.

M1: Please please bring it to me.

M2: Which was I forgot about that. But in seventh me and my friend both played violin, although I don't know how I faked it and got in first violin and she f like kinda faked it and just she sat in the back. I think I just like honestly wasn't that b I probably could have been good if I had practiced, but I didn't. She sat in like the back of second violin and that's where she wanted it that's like where she wanted to be. And we both didn't want to practice ever. And they said we couldn't leave our instruments at the school overnight. So we would sneak them and hide them around the room 'cause people would, like v

M1: Clarinet is easy to fake. Violin is much harder. Clarinet you just don't blow.

M2: And we would sneak them and try to like, It's a loner one and hide them that way and we just never brought them home.

M1: 'Cause yours big. Mine was like a little tiny case, so I was kinda like, Whatever.

M2: gotta put yours in the locker or something. But like bringing a violin back and forth. I have a lot of lore with my violin teacher. I can't possibly get into it, but we No, no, I can't and I won't. But we played instruments and yeah, growing up I feel like we always did like a bunch of various activities. Then we both went to college separately. We didn't start the mouse lits until well after you graduated college. I was still in college when we graduated the mouseelits. And that's a little bit about us. Those are some random facts about us. Maybe we'll do another segment later, but

M1: Sure. Let me think. Hmm. I feel like I can't once again talk about my house being clean versus messy. I feel like I've c

M2: No, you can't. That's your band. My peach of the week was that my pit is that you keep squeaking that pen. My peach of the week is that me and Mousela A went to Worcester, where we went to school at WPI and we walked all around. We got coffee. We walked around campus, reliving like the glory days, I guess. went to some antique shops and it was a lot of fun. I would say that's my peach.

M1: Okay, no, do a real pet. Do a real pet. I just realized what my peach and pit are, without a doubt. I'll start with my pit and then you can do your pit and then I'll end with my peach. My pit is that Mouse L and I have a pool. People always say like pools are money pits, and you know, last summer we had to put a lot of money into our pool to get up and running. When we bought our house, we bought the pool as is. This summer we could put a lot of money into the pool again to get it kind of like aesthetically fixed. It it was it was old.

M2: Okay.

M1: And we found out after we've had a huge debacle with this pool company. I wish I could say their name. I would love to take a hammer and literally like bash them. Not physically, just sort of emotionally. I'm not going to. I'm going to just say they were very hard to work with. And then at the end, they filled the pool with water and they said, bye bye. Here's a million extremely nuanced instructions about what you're supposed to do to get the chemicals and pH of this pool correct and get it up and running.

M2: Okay. Don't get into all the nitty gritty details about this pool.

M1: Things that Mouseless C and I who know nothing about pools cannot possibly do. So we had to scramble to find someone else to do it. It was extremely stressful. We'd have to pay that person a lot of money. It was just extremely stressful. And I just would love to be able to get in my pool. And it's mid-July. So that was a huge pit.

M2: What was your pitch?

M1: my other pit is that my painter's van died on my lawn and my neighbor called the police on me for having it there. Which even though it's allowed.

M2: For the second time.

M1: My peach is that Mouslit C and I were here for the first time in a very long time, over a weekend. So we actually got to spend a weekend here getting the house in order, as I mentioned with some of my previous peaches and pits, and we also went to like a little World Cup barbecue. Also, one last honorable mention for a pit, which is Mouslit too just unflogged her microphone as she does every single, every single.

M2: I didn't unplug it, I bump it, it's not even unplugged. No.

M1: Every single episode and therefore we she had to leave and come back and it makes editing this podcast for me a nightmare. What's your pit?

M2: My pit I went to the driving range, which I actually did very well at the driving range, like all things considered, I haven't played golf this year really, so but I reached in, I pulled my golf club out. Somehow my driver, which again I have yet to use this year, squeaked that pen one more time. I have yet to use this year, and I reached in and it was like the fiberglass was spl splintered on the bottom of the club. I don't know what happened, it's very hard to explain, but I obviously didn't expect that. And a huge piece of fiberglass inserted its into my finger and Obviously I what I was like, holy frick, I had pulled it out. My finger is like spurting blood everywhere. I was like hovering it over the trash can. I had obviously had nothing like I was like, what am I gonna do? Go to like the store and be like, Do you have a band-aid? And so I was sitting there pouring water and holding onto it. And there's still an a mama mouse that's screaming about this. There's a tiny piece of fiber glass stuck in my finger. And I know that I tried. I tried. I had nothing to get it out with.

M1: You need to get that out. Okay, wait. So that we don't end on that negative note of a pit. One time when Mouselatu was a kid, she was it in her sleep, she was going, Mom, mom, mom And Mama Mouse comes in and goes, What is it, Mousel Two, what is it? And she goes, My fingle

M2: What is this? What is it? Okay. I didn't have a lisp. That was Mouse Lit three. Who used to scream that he was scared there was a troll in his room when he watched Harry Potter. You used to sleepwalk, you creeper, and walk all around the house sleeping. So if you want to get into some mouse lit's lore, we can get into that. Let's end with a fact. My fact is that when they were building Blizzard Beach, they considered on the site of like where Coronado is, building a like Swiss chalet themed resort.

M1: Yeah.

M2: and it's something I want to dive into more honestly. It's hard to find info about that, but they considered doing that. It would have been really cool because it really would have fit with a theme of Blizzard Beach. So that's my fact.

M1: Yeah, but I think the reason they didn't is because then if you look at the water park when there's no water in it, it would be so ugly, right?

M2: That wasn't no. Maybe that was one of their reasons, but I I haven't I haven't heard that myself.

M1: that wasn't Okay. my fact, I just had one. yeah. I was looking up things in honor of D twenty three. There are some things that D twenty have been announced at D twenty three and never came to fruition. And like over time, Disney has announced things that never happened. I might make a full video on that later. But one of the ones, which I didn't actually know about until I was reading about this, was that many years ago, early 2010s maybe, Disney announced that they were going to be re-theming an entire area of downtown Disney to something called like Hyperion Wharf. And I believe it was called, and they had all this concept art. And then they ended up not doing that because instead they just did the full transition over to Disney Springs and like redid the entire thing. But yeah, they had this like whole concept for a new area of downtown Disney that never came to be.

M2: Which was going where Pleasure Island was, right? Yeah. R.I.P. That's a good fact. All right, guys, that this is a longer episode.
