M2: Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Sister Sisters. I'm here with my sister and my other sister, Taryn from Benchlandia. t: Does that mean it's sister, sister, sister today? M2: It is sisters, sisters, sisters M1: Of course. M2: today. And in one week from when you are listening to this, actually less than one week, six days, we will all be together at Disneyland because we're flying to Disneyland and we're going to D twenty three Expo. And we are very excited. It's insane. t: My God. Wait, what are M1: Can you believe it's t: you guys wearing? Okay, wait, hold on. We're gonna talk about this later. M1: that soon? t: Yeah, that's so that's so fast. my god, we have to plan all our outfits. We have to plan everything. We have to be so in sync with each other. come on. We gotta get on the same page. Yeah. M1: The whole thing. The M2: We do. M1: whole thing. M2: We've never been to a D twenty three expo to everyone listening. If you didn't know, today's episode we are doing D twenty three predictions where we're predicting what we think like the biggest park news they'll announce. But first, Taryn has been how many D twenty threes have you been to? t: Actually this is only my third. Surprising, I know. I know. It's 'cause I M2: okay. Wow. So what, twenty twenty four and twenty twenty two? t: Two. M1: Basically all the ones post COVID, right? t: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. M2: COVID. Wow. t: Yeah, mm-hmm. M1: I feel like that M2: And t: Yeah. Blew up, for sure. M1: is when it sort of like blew up though, into what it is now. M2: The rise of the influencer for sure. t: Yes, I think before M1: Yeah. t: it for sure. And I think before it was more of like a if you know you know and like M2: Yeah. t: I was living in New York City and I was in college like I never lived local and so it wasn't like on my radar as much as it has been now. So But now it's a whole thing. M1: No, it's like such a thing. M2: It is a whole thing. t: Such a thing. M2: Okay. So what's it like for anyone who's never been? A little brief description. What what goes on there for us as well? M1: Yeah, for us as well, us newcomers. t: It is magical. It is so magical. You guys are gonna love it and you're gonna be like, why haven't I ever done this before? You're gonna be obsessed. So basically, it's like a Disney nerd's paradise because it takes every part of being a Disney adult and like heightens it to a level you wish that you always had it at. Basically, like the merch is insane and on fire. All of these really cool divisions of Disney are represented where you can go and talk to people from the different departments. There's all of these cool panels happening with like once in a lifetime kind of little snippets. If you there's something for every kind of Disney adult, you know? for us three who love all of the history and the like behind the scenes of it all, I feel like this is like you can't get better than this. for example, like last time I watched a panel that was about the Muppets, where the head of the Disney archives came and talked with like the head person for the Muppets and they brought out all of these like amazing movie props from the archives and like talk just M2: That's so cool. t: like gabbed about it and you're like, when will I when will I get to M1: That's so t: to listen to? the head of the Disney archives like talk about like, and here is Kermit's bike from this movie and here's why it's important and this is how we preserve it and you know, so it's just like nerdy goodness. I know. M2: That's so cool. M1: That's so cool. I was looking at merch that was coming out and Mickeys of Glendale, like pins. I don't really I don't really understand that whole thing, but did you see that that branch is launching for D23 a Society of Explorers and Adventures mystery pin pack? And I was like, I need yes. Yes. So we have so we have M2: Yeah. Yep. I need I know. t: my gosh, that's so exciting! M1: to figure that out. But like that to me was showing. How D23 has such niche stuff, like a pin pack of that. Crazy. t: Yes. M2: Like lore, literal lore. I wanted t: Well last M2: us to dress up as C. I know, wouldn't that have been so fun? I know, why aren't we doing that? Wouldn't that have been t: time I went to a panel. why why aren't we doing that? Why can't we do that? Sunday. Don't be dumb. M2: We're not coming Sunday. M1: We're not we can't go Sunday, we have to fly out. M2: We're flying out Sunday, we told you. M1: I know. t: Friday. M2: We can't take off Monday from work. We could do Friday. M1: Maybe Friday. We'll discuss, we'll discuss. t: God, okay, we'll stop. We will talk about this. But okay, the pins are a whole thing. Like I'm scared for the pins because pin the pin people. M1: I don't even know that I can attempt it. M2: Well now pins yeah. t: I don't know either. But you know what? I have like a pin, I have like a pin person. Maybe we we could talk to my we could talk to my dealer. We'll talk to M1: do you? A pin hookup? Okay. Yeah. M2: yeah, let's get that let's get that pin dealer. t: the dealer. but no, like the merch, you have to do like a virtual queue and everything. Like this is like you have to plan like you're on a parks vacation. You have to get up in the morning and do your virtual cues. You have to like do standby lines for panels. Like you gotta be prepared. So they have a whole app. M1: I'm stressed, I have M2: Some of the panels M1: to say. M2: were interesting though. When I was looking and I was like, Bob's burgers. I'm like, how many is Bob's Burgers huge? t: Huge. Huge. M1: Bobs Burgers is everywhere. Bobs Burgers was at the Spirit Jersey booth at San Diego Comic Con. M2: I know nothing about Bob's burgers. Who produces t: Yeah. M2: that television show? Fox? ABC? t: So yes, Fox. and you know, Disney owns Fox. So they also have a whole Simpson things thing M2: Yeah. Yeah. t: there. a lot of that kind of animation that they took over from Fox, they're really trying to highlight, I think, because it's newer to the Disney world, you know? M2: Mm. Yeah. t: but no, huge. Like people are huge fans, which yeah, I think that'll be really successful. and there's different, definitely different levels of panels like. You'll go like I remember last time going into a Marvel one that was in like it's like in this old like airplane hangar kind of thing that they turned into a and it's like, wow, there are thousands and thousands of people here. And that's not even as big as the ones that we're gonna go to at the Honda Center, which are M1: Right. t: like a M2: Mm. t: concert. It's like a like you feel like there's nothing to you know compare it to. It's crazy. And they basically are like, M2: I wanted t: and everybody in here. Gets this and a a poster on your way out. And I remember in twenty twenty two they like announced like at the parks panel, Porto's is coming to downtown Disney, which is crazy because it's still not there. still M1: Wait, it's still not there. M2: James. t: being built. And that was twenty twenty two. and they are M2: Yoikes. t: like, Everybody gets a pastry on the way out, you know, just fun little M2: that's fun. t: yeah. M2: I wanted to ask what your if you have any pits and peaches from previous years of D twenty three that you can think of. t: I d I do. I wrote it down. Okay. My pit is sticking food in my bra because they don't allow M2: There. t: you to bring any food in. And the food options in there are terrible. And it's like basically like, you know, crappy con food. And then there's like food trucks outside, but they're like so expensive and overpriced. And so I'm like, you Aren't gonna tell me that I can't bring a pack of fruit snacks for my child. So I stuffed my bra every morning. Boop doop full of M2: With a bunch of fruit snacks? t: snacks. Full of snacks. Beef jerky M1: my god. t: sticks, fruit snacks, granola M2: sh t: bars, and then we get through security and I go. M2: You're giving away your trade secrets. I mean what could they do? They can't search there. t: Yeah. I'm gonna shove them in my like undershorts. Allegedly, allegedly fruit snacks. M1: This is all this is all allegedly, of course. Allegedly, allegedly. Wink wink. Allegedly. Obviously. M2: Yeah. Allegedly. That was a pit. That would be a pit if it had been done. Okay, and a peach. t: If if I did that, that would have been bad. The and the M1: Yeah. M2: Yeah. t: the peach oopsies. and the peach is I really do consider this like a modern day world's fair, which I really think that like when I like to think of it like that, where like when Walt was contributing to the World's Fair and making like it's a small world and making these different rides that that, you know, would be so revolutionary. I feel like this is the equivalent to that. So I love just walking around and feeling like, wow, like this is innovation. This is preservation. This is, you know, all of these different aspects. M2: Yeah. t: It's just like so grand. It's just so fun. M2: I'm excited for that. As a lover of the nineteen sixty-four World's Fair, never attended, obviously, but was there in spirit and didn't know a lot about it. M1: Mel Mal Sade's mom went, you were there perhaps through her spirit. M2: I just was reading her World's t: Yeah. M2: Fair booklet. We were just talking about archival things and M1: Yes. M2: she has a full World's Fair booklet. And t: my god. M2: she went on Small World. She went on the carousel of progress. She didn't Ford's Magic Skyway, which I was disappointed about. But I was like, and I she didn't t: Fine. M2: remember if she did the Great Moments with Lincoln, which I was like, I feel like you would have remembered that in nineteen sixty four if you saw like a giant Abraham Lincoln animatronic. t: Yeah. M2: me and Abe Lincoln share a birthday in case anyone didn't know that. So just a special connection that the two of us have and we'll always have. my god, wait, in Disneyland, We have so many things planned, honestly. And we'll do a full recap after. But in Disneyland, I wanna see the no, t: Wait, you haven't seen the waltz? M2: see the walls. M1: No. M2: We have to do that. Have t: Wow. M2: to do that. Yeah. That's a must. M1: Add that to the list. Wait, mouse let t: Do that. M1: two, what are you most excited about for D23? M2: I am very excited to just be here's here's some mouse lit, Laura. Okay. This is a mouse lit two lore. I have been, this connects. I have been to two Carrie Underwood concerts in my life. Not a Carrie Underwood fan per se. She's good. Mouslit A is a diehard M1: Muscle Day is a fan. M2: Carrie Underwood fan. Okay. Die t: What? M2: Hard. And yes, M1: I can't wait to hear how this connects, truly. M2: and because so I went to one in college t: This are okay. M2: and I went to another one only like a couple of years ago. And I walked into that Carrie Underwood concert and I was like, all right. And every woman in there. was just like she didn't think she was too cool. They were wearing bedazzled jean jackets. Like everyone was just there for a good time for the same reason. No people thinking they're better than anyone else. I lived in a very like pretentious area of Boston at the time. And I was like, wow, if every day was a Carrie Underwood concert, I wouldn't be self conscious at all. I would just be so happy. And in my mind, D twenty t: Mm-hmm. M2: three Expo is gonna be all of like if you're going to the act, you know, you're a huge Disney fan. And I'm like, it's gonna just be like a Carrie Underwood concert. That's what I'm most excited about. t: Yes. Okay. Literally I just had this conversation with my husband when we were at Comic Con in San Diego and we went to this nine PM Star Wars trivia panel, which I wouldn't I I had to like do it for work and not that it wasn't it's the fun. It's so fun. But like nine PM is late for me to be on the panel in the panels. And we were walking by other panels and there's like a movie screening and there's like this and I can hear people laughing and then we go into our panel. And it is full and it's full of all these the nerdiest of nerdy nerd nerds. And everybody is laughing and having the best time, slamming their buttons for trivia. And I was like, wow, like everyone is here just for the joy of it. Like no ulterior motives, no, M2: Yeah, just to have a good time. t: yeah, no reason, no trying to like make content for social. It was just they just love it. And like how I have goos goosebumps just talking about it. Yeah. M2: And that's how I feel about I this is how I feel about a Disney cruise when I'm like just I'm like everyone M1: Yes. M2: on this ship wants to do these activities and just have fun because we're all here just to have fun. It's just like it makes like the sail away party a vibe and I just feel like it's gonna be a vibe. Muscle one, what's your answer? t: Can I tell you what the wait, I just have to describe this feeling for you because M2: Yes. t: there's a word for it that I learned about in my book of awe recently. And it's called collective effervescence. And it's the feeling when you're with a big group of people, and all of the big group of people is all feeling the same thing. Which is that? A Comic-Con, M2: Yeah. t: a Carrie Underwood concert, a cruise. Everybody's there with this community mindset of like everybody's having the same experiences at the same time. It's called collective effervescence. And I've decided it's like one of my favorite things in the world to feel. It's like feels so cool to be M2: Yeah. t: like, Wow, everybody here like thinks the same thing as me right now. Okay, go ahead. Sorry. M2: I do love that. M1: Mine is very similar, honestly. Mine is every year. Well, no, the past since D23 has like truly been a thing in the Disney community, 2022, 2024. sitting on my phone with my iPad, like scrolling through live streams, watching as many stories as I can. Like I feel like I'm obsessively like trying to get a feel for it, even though I can't be there. So now that we get to finally go, I'm literally excited to just like be there, like amongst the energy, like get to see everything myself, get to run into people that we know that we like don't see that frequently or like follow t: So many. M1: and I've never met. Like just see all the costumes. Like just the vibe of like we're actually here experiencing it for real and not always, always, always watching it from afar. I think is just gonna be like so fun and cool. t: I'm so proud of you guys for M2: I'm so excited. t: pulling the trigger and actually doing it. M2: Thank you. Let me know who to thank. M1: Me too. Mouselit 2 and I had a little like, so there's this whole thing where you can like try and reserve panels in advance. You don't have to, but you can try. Mousel 2 and I go on to do it. This is so classic, like the way that we do everything. We go on to do it. And we're like, okay, we can choose panels for Mouselit 2. And she can select, you know, a to bring a guest, which could be me. And then we can choose panels for me. And I could bring a guest for her. We're like, I'm like, this is weird. I can only do it for one of us. I can't get it do it for me. We realize sorry, like two weeks before this was the date to transfer your tickets. Did Mouse two and I M2: Who would have thought we would have to transfer a ticket? And it's strange that so we we do have we have a friend who's been to the twenty twenty four and twenty twenty two D twenty three expos. We're actually gonna spend a bunch of time with her and she didn't tell us to transfer our tickets. It's so I know. M1: And I guess she didn't like tell us that transferring tickets was a thing, you know? Yeah. And so we didn't transfer our tickets. So t: listen, in my defense, I've never had tickets M2: Ha ha ha t: where I had to buy I've never bought tickets and I've never had to do any of that. I'm sorry. M1: Yeah. Well, a sort of common M2: Sick. Sick. M1: folk over here are buying tickets and there was a transfer deadline. M2: Yeah, us common folk are purchasing our tickets and transferring them and t: So sad. M1: Did we miss it? Sure. Could we only pick panels for one M2: No, we got what we needed, maybe. M1: of us? Yeah, but whatever. But we said even if we like can't go to many daytime panels, yeah, even if we can't go to that many daytime t: I I'm going strong with my third time w not doing this. Yeah. M1: panels, like it's fine. That's we're there for the vibe. We're there M2: We're there the vibe. We're there for the energy. M1: for the Honda Center. M2: If we have to go to Bob's Burgers, we have to go to Bob's Burgers. M1: We have to go to Bow's Burgers. I was gonna say, if you don't know, the Honda Center is the nighttime one where they do the giant announcements, like there's an entertainment one for movies, there's a parks one, and that's kind of like the big ticket. So we'll be there. t: And there's a host this year. Did we hear this? M1: Yeah, I can't wait. I love Neil Patrick Harris. M2: I like Neil Patrick Harris. He t: Yeah, Neil Patrick Harris. M2: reminds me of Count Olaf. we've been speaking for twenty minutes, and with that, we're gonna get into some news because we could chat all day. There's really not much news. I'm gonna be honest. M1: Melza too gathered the news today and I feel like I should have done a check. I always gather the news, but we're trusting her. M2: You don't always gather the news, but yeah, there's not too much news. Here's the first one. The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom was restored. They were redoing the facade for a while and they restored it to its original color scheme. It's a subtle difference, but if you look at really old t: What is that? Okay. M2: pictures of the Haunted Mansion before they built the green awning for the queue, before all of the trees grew in, it was a more of a contrast, the brick and like a brighter white for or like a brighter white stone, I guess. And they kind of let it become dingy. And it's a very, a very subtle difference, but it looks so much better. Post a video when we're there. my god, wait, t: Got a facelift. M2: we're not going there for a while. So I sort of forgot we're going to Disneyland. M1: I'm excited to it's okay. I feel like no one's gonna be beating you to that news probably, so but I'm excited. M2: okay. Well I'm ex I'm excited about that one. M1: okay, solar trash cans continue to be added with new theming. I assume this is mostly an Epcot. M2: No, well, they're adding them all over the place. But yeah, mostly in M1: I didn't M2: Epcot, but they're starting to Disney has said they're gonna introduce them around. Disney actually filmed a video for their own social media. It's funny. I just did a video about this this morning. Explaining why they did they have these trash cans, because I guess people are confused and upset about these new have you seen them, Taryn? The new trash cans? They have solar panels on top. They have a foot pedal. They pull down or they have t: and they like pull down, right? Okay, foot pedal, yeah. M1: Yeah. M2: a foot pedal and they're compactors. And what Disney said is that. they have to be emptied less, which means that the cast members can be focused on keeping the part cleaner. And I was like, Well, you know, you also could you're obviously just reducing the amount of people you need, sure, you know, you but it is more efficient. so interesting. And there you have them in M1: I saw a video of a you know, no hate to this person, but of a woman who was like trying to throw something away and she was like, I can't I can't do it. Like I'm missing the thing, like it my the foot pedal and I was like, All right, I mean, no offense. No, she was just kind of being like M2: Was she playing a tr a little trick? The one thing I'll say about them is t: Should we just being dumb? M1: Okay. M2: these are least, these are like it's a different company's technology. Like these are in other places. They aren't known to be super accessible because they either are a pull or a foot pedal and they're taller. And so I'm like, mm-hmm t: Mm. And you can't. Mm-hmm. M2: versus like it's even for kids too, you know, even for like a child who wants to t: Yeah. M2: go toss something in. So I'm like, that's a strike against. But I do like energy efficient. the last news is there's t: And I mean like, come on, you could have friggin if you're gonna put new trash cans in, make every single one of them talk for me, please. If they're electronic in some way, exactly. Make them all M2: No, literally. Just bring back push. That's all I want. M1: Obviously. Just bring back push all over the park. t: push two point Then then everybody would have been happy. If they would have opened it and M2: No literally. t: he would have been like, What are you doing in there? And then everybody would have been like, okay, this is fine. M2: You should consider getting a voice for the trash cans in the parks. my god, wait, I have to side note. You did voice impressions with your husband Cameron and it was so funny. It was hilarious. M1: It was so funny. If you haven't seen that reel, you have to watch it. t: You thought it was funny? Did you like his wado? M2: Yeah, I did love Hizuato. I played it for Mouse Today and I Ooh, I'm getting a little tingly. t: I know. I know. M2: Connecting. t: I I I decided that we should do that again and we should see if we have any more voices inside of us. We were racking our brains M2: You shouldn't. t: though. Like we're not, you know, so if I if I didn't i I I need to start keeping a a running list and then when M2: Yeah. t: we decide like, yeah, I could do that, I could do that, then we'll film another one. We'll see if it's as good. M1: It will be. M2: it was good. The last piece of news is that Zootopia Better Together got a new pre show. which is an interesting there was no pre show before 'cause it's just you're in that t: What was the pre show before? M1: There wasn't one. I assume M2: room with the movie posters, M1: I assume it's t: Mm-hmm. M1: playing like as you're going to sit down, because there are no screens in the room with the movie posters, but I don't actually know that. I just don't know. I don't M2: It's Mayor Wind Dancer M1: The horse. M2: welcoming guests and setting up the story before the main forty presentation begins. The horse, yeah. M1: Yeah, I I think it's like up on the screen. fun. t: And is Clawhauser fixed? M2: Closer is I don't know, is he fixed? M1: I don't know. t: 'Cause why why are you putting your time into a pre show when your only animatronic's been broken since you opened it, essentially? M2: Why are we putting a pre-show in a show that opened a while ago? This brings us back to stuff to be a bug, which we talked about on sitting on the ground talking, but now it is time to get into the main episode. And by that I mean the main segment. We're doing D23 predictions. We are diving deep into things that we think are going to happen at D23. I'm gonna just give a big caveat. Mostly mine are things that I want to happen. Do I think that they will happen? I hope that they do. t: My god, I was gonna say this too. I was gonna say there's two categories. M1: Okay. Yes, because M2: Yeah. Like some of them I M1: I think that M2: think are a maybe, but most of them I'm like, please happen. M1: Because realistically, guys, we got a lot of information in twenty twenty four about big things coming. Walt Disney World, Piston Peak, Villains Land, Monstropolis, Tropical Americas. Like they threw a ton at us because Yeah, giant someone hit the boo button for that one. M2: Avatar, it's California Adventure. t: Avatar, the Disney animatronic, the yeah, there's and and the things that have actually happened from that are the Wall Animatronic. M2: They're demolished they demolished the rivers of America, so that's happening, but M1: I it's they d yeah, they demolish stuff for us, but it's long tail. t: And the rock and roller they didn't announce Rock and Roller Coaster, but they did announce the d like the closing of Muppet Courtyard, which they M2: Mm. Yeah. t: did do. And, M1: Yes. t: you know, props to them for already getting Muppets representation M1: Getting it. t: back in the park, but we'll get to that soon. M1: Yes. But yeah, so like we got a lot. And so realistically, Disney has a lot in progress. They're not going to be making that many announcements again this year. So I would say our things are probably a mix of like there's probably t: Says you. M1: some sorry. There's probably some stuff that is going to be a little bit more like maybe this would actually happen. And some things that are maybe more of like our hopes and dreams. So we each came with five, but Mouse Little, do you want to talk about like obvious ones that we should get? M2: I mean, there's certain things like guaranteed they're gonna just toss some softballs. We're gonna get details about tropical Americas, we're gonna get news about villains land, they're gonna be like, we reworked this, we did this, we might get an update on like the Cocoa ride or an opening date of M1: Updated concept art probably. Mm-hmm. M2: something like that. Like, yeah, t: Concept art for sure. M2: we're gonna get a bunch of just sort of like softballs that everyone will be excited about, but not like it's already it's things we know. These aren't like new reveals, they're just updates of things they've already announced. So I'm fully anticipating all of those things. All of my things, I think, are things that are gonna be brand spanking new. all right, I'll kick it off. We'll do me and then M1 and then Taryn and rotate. 111, 111. Yeah. okay, which one do I t: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Wait, are we doing like one, one, one, or are we doing all five? Great. Like this. Yeah. M1: Yeah. One one one. M2: want start with? I'll start with, I'll start with my maybe my least exciting one. I think a nighttime show is gonna be brought to Animal Kingdom. I think they're gonna announce a new nighttime show because they built when they t: I would love that. M2: had Pandora and they had all of the like nighttime bioluminescence and then they built that huge stadium and they had rivers of light and then they just it wasn't that popular and they just closed it and the park is never open at night. And I think they're gonna be looking for things that will draw people in. They're putting so much money into the new land. And I feel like they have the technology now like droids. Drones? Drones. Yeah I think there might be a drone show t: Drone show drone show. M2: because it won't upset the animals probably because there's no Yeah. So I think some I think they're gonna bring drones there. M1: Would absolutely love if they did. The my one concern is Mousewood and I have talked about this so many times, but we recently went to Animal Kingdom M2: I know we we're beating a dead horse. M1: at night and it was a wasteland. There was nothing open, there was nothing to do. M2: Desolate. Because the safari is closed, the Maharaja Jungle Truck is closed. Cali River Rapids was, I think, just closed at that time. Gorilla Falls is closed. So you can do Everest and Pandora rides. And even some of the shows weren't running. We were like M1: Yeah, the show like it's tough to be a bug stops at like five or something. Yeah, all the shows are done. Yeah, Nemo Lion King feathered friends are done. It's tough to be a bug. t: Well yeah, the show yeah. Well and like the the Nemo and Lion King. M2: It's tough to be a bug is like the fourth host of this episode. It's tough to be a bug isn't even there anymore. Okay. t: And our fourth sister, Princess Ada. M2: Protestada. M1: But yeah, like I I guess I'm gonna dovetail this into one of mine because it makes sense. It was that I had, I think that they're maybe gonna announce another thing for Animal Kingdom, another land. Because even with tropical Americas. Animal Kingdom does not have enough to do. Like it's still lacking. People are still gonna t: You can't M1: say it's a half day park. t: You can't hate on people that say it's a half day park when they when they M1: No, you can't, right? t: have to close their animal stuff halfway through the M1: Exactly. And so t: day. M1: Tropical Americas is gonna be great. I don't know what it would be. I would love to hear ideas from you guys, any thoughts, but I think they still need M2: Have some thoughts. M1: another big thing at Animal Kingdom. And I think it's possible with Tropical Americas approaching that that will be next. t: Okay, what if two, it feels like it could be such a vibe to have like a nightlife y element to the tropical Americas area of like this fiesta kind of outdoor party kind of nighttime. M1: Yes. M2: Ooh, yes. t: Like I feel like they could make it like they could close that whole like back half of the park essentially, but then make it f you know, feather out from Everest and down. Yeah. M1: And they sh they should. Because Pandora has nighttime stuff that never gets used, the the bioluminescence, t: Yeah. M1: they could do something there. And yeah, I think that maybe we're gonna get one more thing. t: Yeah. And a drone show? M2: But Pandora needs a little je ne sais quoi. I'm like, get some characters out you got like a fiesta in that Tropical America's land, and they gotta bring something into like Africa. I think it's kind of we haven't done the Bluey thing. the I think it's kind of unfortunate that they kept all of Rafiki's Planet and Watch and what it is so like it's supposed to be something else. And the yes they put the blue E thing there, but they could t: Exactly. M2: have put it anywhere. And so instead it still t: Anywhere. M2: remains like kind of a random train to somewhere that's not that like M1: Because Australia was a really good idea and makes sense. Like they have Africa, they have Asia, they're gonna have tropical Americas. Having Australia animal representation is cool, but they kind of wasted it t: Yeah. M1: on this little tiny dinky thing by Bluey. They should have just maybe they will. Maybe they'll lean in. t: I don't think Bluey's a permanent thing. I think that it to me it's always seemed like that was like a temporary, like this is a now fad. We have to same thing in Disneyland where they put the show in the fantasyland area. And M2: Yeah. Depends on the other. t: maybe they'll announce a more permanent type of thing, you know? M1: Yeah, like maybe Austral they should make a real Australia. Like, I think maybe we're gonna get one more land. M2: I think we could get I think we might t: I think we do I think we need one more land in Animal Kingdom for sure. M1: We do. M2: get like an Antarctica E like I could see them doing something like that M1: that'd be cool. M2: because they have yeah, they sort of like built that out. I think that could be kind of cool. I also here's my biggest wild card ever. It's not a true prediction. I could see them pulling a wild card and building like Endor or something crazy that would just make the I have I M1: You've said this before, you have said this before, yes. M2: have, yeah, I have. If they were gonna put a Star Wars Land anywhere else at Walt Disney World, where would it be? They're not gonna put it in But think t: They're not gonna split that up. They're not gonna split that up, no. M2: about what Universal does where they have Harry Potter in each park to get all the Harry Potter people to go to each park. M1: This is one of her like big conspiracy theories that pops up occasionally. t: You have something there. Yeah, I do like I M2: I know this is this is a conspiracy theory. t: I I I'm not mad at the conspiracy theory. I just don't think it's gonna happen. I think I like M2: I mean it probably won't. t: the conspiracy theory better that we need to move the aquarium from Epcot into Animal Kingdom. M1: Thank you. I said that, yes. That M2: You know my biggest beef with aquariums now, because I don't even think that aquarium in the seas is that amazing. But I went to the Boston aquarium and I just talked about this. I went to this Boston aquarium for my company Christmas party and everyone M1: This is the fourth host of this podcast. You've told this story on this podcast so many times. t: The really stinky penguins at the bathroom aquarium. M2: like hyped this Boston aquarium up and I moseyed on in and I said, I was like, lame. This t: It was fine. It's stinky. M2: looks like an aquarium in like my local town. It well, first of all, it was stinky. And as I was trying to eat my food, it was stinky and it was dark, and there was t: Yes. Yes. Cause the penguins are right in there and it's all enclosed, but the penguins are are not enclosed. M2: But it was n very unimpressive. They had this like little tower. The top was cool with sea turtles. I like, the seas, which isn't even that great of an aquarium. And I started to realize I think that no aquarium exists that is that good. Because the seas is one of the best. t: Mm-hmm. M2: And Boston Aquarium, people say, is great. So M1: And have you been to the seas lately? It is so dingy in there. And every time I'm in there I'm like woof. t: It is. It's really sad. And if they just M2: It is sad. t: what if they just moved it? What if they just built yes, and then all the animals M1: D to Animal Kingdom. What if they just t: will be in one place? What if they just and then M1: Exactly. Just t: they could they'll just build a big tunnel. You know what? They'll take you know what, M2? I'm sure you've done some research on this. Maybe like the aqueduct system of all the waters that connect all the things. And M2: Where they transfer all the fish. t: then they just all the fish. M2: That is crazy. t: It's all connected. M2: Okay, I gotta toss out my other one of my honorable mentions for Animal Kingdom that I think they might bring back the boats that go around the water. Yeah. t: Please bring that back. M2: Yeah. M1: And the fact I the fact that they just got rid of the ones with characters like the flotillas is a crime. Like, are you joking? That was the most fun M2: Cheap cheap skates. Ooh. No, literally, that deserves a big old. t: Yeah. Yes. M1: yes. It t: Boo, exactly. And you know M2: Like why? t: what? Just like they have the boat that goes from the front of, you know, world showcase over to now not Morocco, M2: Yeah. The friendship. t: Germany now, which is weird. they could do that for there and I would take it solely just because M1: Yes. t: I didn't I just wanted to just sit down for a little bit. You don't have to show me M2: If y t: anything. M2: literally, if you went to the park M1: And I think that people M2: in nineteen ninety eight and nineteen ninety nine and two thousand, you ruined it for everyone by being all sad that there wasn't enough entertainment on there when it was a transportation system. I'm looking at you. t: No. Exactly. M1: Like I think it's very clear that that would be a transportation system. I feel like if they put it back now, people wouldn't react like that. Yeah. It's nice. Okay. Taryn? M2: People would enjoy a nice scenic ride through the river. I think that could come back. Okay. Taryn, t: Okay, so I'll tell M2: you're first. t: you mine, and I'm just like throwing out my obvious, obvious one that will never ever happen, but I have to say it and we'll all agree and we'll all say yes and we'll move on, which is a full Tomorrowland refurb in Disneyland. I say this every D23, M2: Hundred percent. It's happening this year. M1: Yes. t: and it while I wanna say if it does happen, I literally will pee my pants, cry, throw up all the same time. Because M2: Yeah, okay, my bad. t: I I I heard from a cast member. that one time that was like, you know, in it, not like a like he knew what he was talking about. He was like, there will never be a Tomorrowland refurb. And here is why. Because tickets are at max sales. They're always like they're doing great. And so if nothing is wrong, why like with sales and stuff, they're not gonna shut down an entire land sink in million, billion, billion dollars when They're not going to see any revenue change. And so, unless people stop going to the parks, they won't change the things that need refurbishment in there in like a major way like this. And so I'm like, you're like, yeah, of course. Like every nobody's gonna stop going to the park. So why would they say, we're gonna shut this whole land down? But M1: When I did a YouTube deep dive on the failure like of Imagineering or sort of like the downfall ish of Imagineering, that's like a dramatization of it, but whatever, you can watch the video. But one of the things that came up was that, like, I don't know, in like it's C PEC era, I think, they pitched like a huge overhaul of Tomorrowland. Like the Imagineers like had it. And it was like, no, this is not a direct tie to new revenue. So like, nope. And t: Yes. M1: the Imagineers were like, it's probably never gonna happen now. M2: But but at some point it will have to. The M1: At some point they have to though. M2: days of t: They have to. M2: Disney caring about like the days of Walt, literally, the days of even Michael Eisner wanting to do these things and build these great things are gone. It's all about the moolah now. I mean this ties perfectly into one of mine. t: 'Cause think about all the things that are there that are just sitting as relics. M2: I was about to say, I think the Disneyland people mover is gonna come back this year. I do what? No, I do. And honestly, if it did, I t: I would have a sear. M1: I just like drop my phone. You're nuts. M2: would have a seizure. I would genuinely have a seizure. I would thr I would I'm up in the t: I would literally have a seizure. We'll have a seizure together. We'll hold hands and go because it M2: I'm in the nose. t: But remember Stop Stop I will choose one of you out of a hat to come with me every night. One don't. M1: Yeah, we won't be near you 'cause we had to buy tickets. But anyways, yeah. M2: Yep, at the back. mine will s mine will literally spur my blood from my nosebleed will spew down from no actually though. t: Stop. M2: Here's the thing, okay? There's yes, a full Tomorrowland refurb would be very expensive. Restore the Mary Blair murals. Fine, it's gonna be too expensive. t: Restore the Mary Blair Murals. The whole innovation center is an empty husk. The whole center thing that used to have like the time turn that used to have the freaking M1: Yes. M2: Yes. At least it used to move. t: astro. Like, yes, that M1: Mm-hmm. t: is just emptiness. All of the tracks of the people mover are emptiness. Like, M2: But it's like the fact that there's not the astral orbiter and they plopped that golden sucker when they did your dumb golden overlay to try to match Discovery M1: Yeah, like M2: Land and all the like the carcass that is Tomorrowland at Disneyland is atrocious. It is such a monopodge. Here's t: You know. M2: here's their solution. M1: And Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom is one of the biggest, most themed lands. And at Disneyland it's just like it's terrible. M2: But we just got, we just bought tickets, two two-day park copper tickets, a thousand dollars. And I'm like, here's your solution. You want more money? t: Mm-hmm. It's crazy. M1: thousand dollars. M2: You want more money, you have to restrict the annual pass holders and get more people to buy regular tickets. That's where the money is. And like, that's that's their only way. Cause it's, yeah. And the reason Mal City was like, my God, why can they charge that much? I'm like, because there's so much demand that if they had cheaper price, they would just sell out instantly. They have to price it so high. M1: We're yeah, we're buying them. M2: We're like, holy crap. t: Yes. M2: So yeah, why would they? But t: Yes. I'm M1: Yes. t: about to renew my annual passes and I feel sick. It's like nineteen hundred dollars. It's insane. M1: We looked at the prices to see if it would make sense for M2: Same. M1: two, but because of all the block outdates, the only one that would have made sense was the top tier. And yeah, it was would have been two thousand dollars after taxes. No. t: Top one, yeah. It's insane. Yeah, M2: too expensive. Yeah. It's just it's ridiculous. t: it's crazy. It's insane. And like the bang for your buck that you get, yeah, I don't even we that's a whole other thing. All I know is that it will never happen, the three furb and I want it to so badly. Can you imagine what that could look like? M2: No, it would be and you know what though? M1: It would be amazing. M2: It's like they reached this weird point with every Tomorrowland ever that they were like, no, it feels like the past. And they tried to do this god awful update and now they're like, wait, the the Tomorrowland, like the retro space age, it works. Just restore it back. Honestly, restore it back. Restore it back. Like, but they've sealed off the escalator that leads to the old, t: Restore it, yeah. At this point, like I n Yes. M2: like, they've they screwed up. They screwed up. t: Yes. And at this point, like I know that the people mover is never coming back. And like I I want M2: No, it's coming back this year. t: it more than anybody. So like I'll always hope for it. Right. But even if they just gave us like rip the band-aid off and just tear down the center tracks. Because that's yeah, like but like you don't even have to don't M1: Yes Yes And o Atopia But that doesn't need to be there anymore M2: my god, the center track. And the ones over Autopia. t: touch that stuff over there. Just leave it just but like just tear down the center tracks right in the middle of Tomorrowland. Because it makes it so hard to maneuver in there and open it up. M1: And like for what? Exactly. M2: No, they literally t: Exactly. For nothing. M2: royally screwed up. It's like almost so painful to me that I can't even talk about it anymore. I do think the Disneyland people mover is coming back though. That t: And yeah, no. I agree. M2: was my second prediction. I I do think that's happening. So yeah. M1: Okay, should I move on to my second prediction? M2: Yeah. Yep. M1: Mine is semi related, but I'm at Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. I am saying that Tomorrowland Speedway is getting an update. They announced the electric cars are coming to Autopia and Disneyland. So I think the Speedway could be next, but exc sorry, excuse me, excuse me, but I think if they're t: Maybe the worst ride ever. It'll just go away. my god, please. M2: wait. M1: gonna bring electric cars, they I think I am a speedway lover. Obviously. However, I do think if t: Yeah. M1: they're going to update the cars, they will perhaps update the ride a little bit. Like they're not gonna necessarily keep it exactly the same. And so I think we're gonna get new cars and a new theme. New something. M2: I feel like one of the times they could have done was like right around when they opened Tron. You know, the Speedway was named after M1: Yes. And they shorten the track. t: Mm-hmm. M2: a super highway of the future. And it kind of gives that still with Autopia at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Disney World, it's just like a race, but you're not actually racing. I'm like, you could do honestly anything. Like you could pretty much t soft overlay it with anything, and it would probably be better than what it is. M1: Malsa too and I were saying on a recent episode, Taryn, because it's right between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Like you could just you could push it over into Fantasyland if you if you wanted to. Mr. Toad, M2: Mr. Toad. Mr. Toad Vehicles. M1: drive Mr. Toad cars. t: See, we have very similar we've talked about this before on the pod, where I think that we should demo Autopia in Disneyland and then move that like take it and build fantasy land rides that enter from the small world like walkway. And so similar thing where yeah, you could totally M1: Yes. It's exactly t: change it to a fantasyland and yeah, like a Mr. Toad would be so cute. I think my main problem with the Tomorrowland Speedway, besides the fact that it's doesn't really do anything. M1: Sorry, why? t: My main problem is that there's no shade. That's my beef, is that it's M1: Yes. M2: Yeah. Yeah. t: so just like this open tarmac. And if they even just like did what they do with Autopia where it's a lot more scenic and they put trees in and they had some and it's like, over here is like a little town and over here is like your highway and like then great. But it's just in the blistering summer heat. Yeah. M1: It would be so cute, yes. Cause it's like a race track. Yeah. M2: But it's like even like you're driving Mr. Incredible's car. Like there's you're dri car like there's a t: Yeah. M2: lot of things they could do. M1: You're driving vanilla P von Schw you're racing in a Vanilla P von Schweets vehicle. Like yeah. t: That could be cute. Yeah. M2: Like they could do it could be a soft do you know the the new d Universal Kids Resort? They have that stitch not t: Uh-huh. M2: stitch, well Shrek that Shrek ride that I'm like, yikes, those cardboard cutouts. I'm like, honestly t: Yes, yeah. Mm-hmm. M2: the theme of that is probably better than the Speedway at this point. And I like the Speedway, but I'm like, toss something in there. Give me a t: You know what I think they should do? Put us in like by and large wheelchair like hovercrafts and then we just go. M1: my god, yes, M2: It's a great idea. M1: yes, with a big slushie, yes. t: I with M2: I would t: a free celestial. M2: that that's a good one. All right. Taryn, what's your next? t: Okay, here's my next one. This will happen. They're going to give us details about Villains Land. When they're giving us those details, they're going to say, and the villains show in Hollywood Studios is moving to Villains Land. And that area where the Villains Land show is, Muppet Vision 3D is coming back. And everyone, the crowd goes wild. That's my c that's what I think. M2: Dang, interesting. t: And I think they're going to take that area back there and they're going to bring them the Miss Piggy Fountain. And here's my wild card that I think they should do. And Disney execs, if you're listening, you should do this. I think M2: You are, of course. M1: They are, obviously. t: they need they obviously are, so that's why allegedly I put snacks in my bra. So M1: Right. t: so I think that they could do some more of these elevated merchandise experiences like they did with Batuu. with the droid and the lightsaber and I want them to we can build a Muppet. Build your own puppet. I M1: That would be really fun. Okay. t: know. I pay a hundred dollars to build my own puppet. You pick your eyes, you pick like the color of their mouth, you pick the col you know, you hair, all that stuff. M2: They tried to do that at Pandora and at Tron with these specialty things and they both bombed. But I do think Mubbets has a more of a I was about to say no one no one cared enough, but t: Yeah. Mm-hmm. M1: No one cares about them. Yeah. No one cares about those. Okay. I think t: So I want them to be like a little mini it doesn't have to be a land, but like a little mini area pack in there that they kinda give more oomph to the Muppets, you know? M1: do wonder like the villain when ha when you have a villain's land, having that villain show at Hollywood Studios is kinda like weird. However, I wonder if they're gonna be trying to be more like immersive in Villain's Land where the villain show is too like t: Mm. M2: I'm like, don't get too immersive. t: Yeah. M2: Not everything let's build a fantasy land M1: I know. Not I don't get too crazy with it, maybe. M2: type land. We don't have to have every land be this insanely immersive land. Some can, but not everything has to be that. t: Yeah. My my hope was that it was like, Hey, we have this idea of something we want to do in the villains land, and we have this open area right here for now. So why don't we flesh it out, get all the kinks out, learn what what works and what doesn't, and give it like almost like this little guinea pig for a couple of years. And then when Villains Land is built, maybe they'll they'll revamp and make it even bigger kind of villain's show, but they're using it as a testing spot right now and then they're gonna bring them up as 3D pack. M1: I could see it honestly. M2: I could see. I mean, did the Muppet Show get renewed? t: still D V D on that. We're waiting to hear. I know, which is scary. Yeah. M2: okay. So I'm referring to you. So interesting. M1: Okay. The Muppets T V show she's referring to. M2: I feel like it's possible. I also have a like a prediction for the new Monstropolis area is that I think that the Monsters Inc. la t: my god, great. Go wow, this is flowing you guys. M2: I know it is. We are too in sync. I think the Monsters Inc. La Floor is gonna move to Monstropolis. I think it would be weird t: Yes. M2: if it wasn't, especially because the Monsters Inc. La Floor is literally like, you're entering this area, you're talking. And then they're gonna have two empty theaters in Tomorrowland, Stitches Grid Escape and the Monsters Inc. Lafloor area. I think that we're gonna get a WALLI thing. I do. I think that that is like such a good fit. And we're gonna get something else. I think they're gonna announce two new things for Tomorrowland. t: Okay, this is too many. This isn't this isn't more than one thing. Back it up. Back it up for a second. Because because M2: No, it's all grouped together. It's okay, back it up to Monsters in Glaf Lloor moving to Hollywood. t: because the th Muppets theater is still there. And so there M1: Yes. t: is no way that they're not gonna take advantage of that. I completely agree with you. The whole infrastructure is there. M2: There's no way they do a second Monsters Inc. show too. M1: I think they hundred no. M2: That would just be too t: No. M2: much. M1: And Monstropolis, they do want to be in immersive land. The theater, the current theming of Monsters and Glasfloor is perfect for that. Like it's humans being there t: Perfect. M1: and talking to the monster. Like they could just literally move it as is. I think that will happen. And yeah, do I think they're gonna announce two new things for Tomorrowland? The thing is, having Stitches Great Escape and Monsters in Glasfloor be empty would be insane. That's a giant amount of Tomorrowland. M2: But I think they're gonna open up something and Stitch is great escape, which honestly, knowing how popular Stitch is, they should have just left that stupid thing. But I think they're gonna open something up because they're gonna have to do a bunch of work on the laugh floor. So it's like one for the other. And that theater has been empty for many, many years. So I I don't know what would go in there, to be honest. I'm confused what could M1: People have always thrown around a Wreck It Ralph thing, I do not think it would be that. M2: Doesn't t: No, Record Ralph doesn't work in Tomorrowland. M2: fit at all for me. No. t: You know, maybe they'll put like a bunch of by and large chairs in there and you get a s you get a slurpee. M1: my god yes. M2: That actually could be really slurpey. th that new movie about the kid going to space, what was that movie called? I just watched it. Yeah. t: Eleo. LEO. M2: Like it's too bad that that didn't like kind of knock it out of the park because that would have been a good t: Strange World, all those things that they purposefully bomb, they could have. Mm-hmm. M2: that they wanted to do badly. but yeah, I do think that LaFlour, it would be bizarre if they left it at the Magic Kingdom. So I feel like that's like basically a guarantee. What we'll get in its place, I cannot say, but I think it's pretty much guaranteed. t: And we know that they love to like refurb what they already have. And they don't like to like just completely demo stuff. So if they already have M1: Yeah, I mean they've kept that round theater in stitch for like that has been a round theater since the beginning. So I don't know, think about those. t: Right. And having two theater shows would be weird. So I feel like you gotta have one thing be completely demoed. M2: Any chance that something like Marvel sort of gives outer space to me, any chance that something outer spacey Marvel that they're allowed to use comes there, what can they use? t: Only guardians. M1: The Marvel the Marvels, right? Or is The Marvels? Are t: Just more guardians. Yeah. M1: they technically a family? That would be t: No. M1: Captain Marvel. M2: Maybe Big Hero Six. I could see maybe that, like robotics, like a big hero. You know what? Stitch's Great Escape. t: That would be fun. M2: I'm calling this now. Stitch's Great Escape is being replaced with a Big Hero Six with Baymax in the center. All about innovation and invention. Boom. That's happening. Yeah. Yep. Just you wait. We will. We will. I can't wait. t: Wow, okay, we're gonna call back to this in a couple weeks. Okay. M1: We are just waiting. t: I think maybe something stitched will come back. M1: I am now going to move us to Epcot. I have a lot of Epcot thoughts. Have they said the transformation of Epcot is complete? Yes. Is it complete? No, not in my heart. So I'm going to start with the one that I think is genuinely the most realistic, which is redoing spatial earth because they have to. Because it's M2: Yeah. M1: too outdated. We've talked about this before. The end is no longer the end of communication. By any means, the top scene is like a terrible Yeah. I like M2: half abandoned, there's like creepy animatronics painted over M1: absolutely hate it. And then when we're going down, Siemens doesn't sponsor it anymore. The technology is terrible. It needs to be updated and they had plans for it. t: Right. Can you tell me why they 'cause they literally like were like, We're shutting it down and then they M2: Money, money, money, COVID. They just like M1: Just yeah. M2: literally, it's like honestly, Project Gemini, same thing. The huge refurb that's supposed to happen to Epcot in 2000, one of my many obsessions. my god. I mean, it would have been crazy having Spaceship Earth be a roller coaster, but it's one of the many things we lost. It's one of the many things we lost. I do think it might happen as well. Honestly, when you think of how much money they spend, that how much money could it possibly cost to zhuzh it up a little bit? Like M1: It cannot. They don't need to do they M2: Come on, it can't cost that much. M1: don't need to do that much. You need a new narration. You have to add one scene to the M2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. M1: Well, they are gonna get a new narrator for sure if they redo it. They've had many narrators, they're gonna have a new one. M2: No. Okay. And I then keep no. M1: They need to t: No. M1: They need to add a new M2: Yeah, no. M1: scene. They need to do something with the planetarium area. Yeah. And then t: Change the ending. Yeah. M1: just have new like screen stuff. It's not that bad. And they can't wait forever. So TikTok. t: No, actually when you think about how many rides M2: It's time. It's time. t: are in the parks that are like this that have like halfway kind of shut down and you like really think about it, you're like, How is this allowed? Like we all M2: No, literally. But I'm like M1: Yes. t: just end it with a bunch of drapes over old things and everybody's like, Cool. M2: Or like, whoa. In their f the flagship ride of the park. Like, yeah. I do think that that could actually happen. Although they did say that future world is complete, like M1: Like Future World being complete and then refurbing a ride. Like, okay, it's complete. You're not adding new stuff to Future World. You could refurb a ride. You just refurb test track. M2: It took them far too long to add what they did to Future World when I'm like and I like it, but I'm just like like, okay. To build M1: my god, they spent like five years on that. Are you joking? M2: up like I'm just like, wow, that you didn't wow me enough. You didn't build your three story festival center. That's the true fourth host of the podcast, the fest the three story festival center. So I could M1: You didn't wow me at all. Guardians wowed me. Yes, the festival center. t: It it is. It is. M2: see that happening. I agree. I want I think that could happen. Teryn, what's M1: Okay, Taryn. t: I think I M2: your next? t: okay, so I'll s I'll rearrange mine to make this flow so good still. I think that we're gonna see. they're gonna go back to these 2022 announcements that they made and then pooped off. And they're gonna say and they're gonna announce one new IP ride in Epcot from these old things, and they're gonna say, Cherry Tree Lane, it's happening, guys. They're gonna Coco. M1: I had that as a potential as well. t: Yeah, like one of the ones that they they've already fleshed out. They've put a bunch of money in it. They've done concept art. Like, come on, like it's time now. You completed your walcott. It's time. You said you were gonna bring more IP to the world showcase. M1: And and you didn't touch World Showcase, really. You didn't touch World Showcase. t: No. M1: So M2: I yeah. t: And it's just been cl things have just been closing and nothing's been opening. So M1: So people love World Showcase. It's one of the pop most popular areas for adults. Come in and bring something cool. I agree. Me too. M2: Could see Cherry Tree Lane happening because they announced t: Yes. M2: it and it and it's almost like embarrassing that it's like like guys, come on, let's do this. I'll I'll keep this flowing to perfection. I think a new country is coming to Epcot. I really do. I really do. They have all of these sites. I just did a huge deep dive in it. The African outpost specifically has been shuttered for years. They don't even open up the stores again. That I'm like, and they were doing some construction behind it, although that was unrelated, but Still, I'm like, you know what? I think something's happening. And if I had to choose M1: Do have a prediction t: And what would you yeah, M1: for the country? t: what would be your prediction? M2: I think there's a well, people Brazil is like up there. There's been rumors of Brazil for so long. I think Brazil is possible. I could see India happening in like very distinct culture. I that that seems feasible. I could see Greece. I don't think anything from South America will come other than Brazil just because they're doing tropical Americas that I think like it's kind of Brazil or nothing. Years and years and years ago, nineteen eighty nine, there were plans for a Switzerland pavilion. I could kind of see something like that. But I think whatever they build, when they do eventually build one, which they will at some point, whenever it happens, it will be based around some Disney IP. So like something Disneyland intellectual property that's based in this place, or they can make it be based in this place. M1: Like frozen with Norway, yeah. Mm-hmm. t: Yeah, 'cause they just did the whole Paris Yeah, they just did the whole Paris like redo, you know, and that was all Radishway. I think Greece would be sick, but there's nothing that is like M2: Greece, Hercules. M1: Hercules Hercules. M2: It's just like Hercules is not. I'm like a Hercules show, but I'm like, you really get stuck in like you basically have to have Hercules there. Nothing else is based in Greece. But I don't know. I Greece is very iconic. It's time. It's it's time. The world showcase. I just agree with you, Taryn. Like, you gotta bring something new. I mean, the boat ride in Mexico, I understand there's issues with capacity in that pavilion, but like you can figure it out. They've gotta. M1: It it should be cocoa. M2: Or or China, they have M1: It one hundred percent. M2: that show done. Like inject some life into the world showcase because it's a little bit stale. It is, it's a little bit stale. M1: Yeah, Darren, I don't know if you know this, but when I was I did a deep dive recently on everything that I'd announced at D twenty three is that it's been cancelled. Obviously a lot of that was Epcot. Okay, I just I M2: You already said that on this episode to give Taryn the background of that. M1: I'm just sort of reframing, but t: wanna I just wanna know, I wanna keep it somebody needs to go back and do a counter on how many times the mouse would have said, I did a deep dive in this episode right now. M1: I mean, God forbid we say the phrase deep dive. We all know how the people on YouTube feel about that. But, anyways, t: Yeah. M1: they announced a new circle vision film coming to China and w and t: When M1: like when they were announcing the whole Epcot thing. And supposedly they finished it, but because of COVID, they never released it. And I don't understand, like t: You kidding me? M1: no. And they they announced one for Canada too and they did release the Canada one. And for some reason they didn't release the China one. And people say like the again, it was COVID times. People were like, you know, there was a lot going on with people's feelings about China, which is obviously absolutely ridiculous. But like, I'm like, you have it. M2: One driss China. It was announced in twenty nineteen at D twenty three Expo. M1: And it's ready. So I'm like, you know what? Turn on the projectors to that. That would be so easy. Yeah. That'd be great. M2: Or bring up build a Mulan build a Mulan Dark Ride. I'll I'll throw one t: Literally. Literally. M2: out there. Build a Baymax thing in Japan. Like fine. If you wanna slap IP all over the park, great, do it. Like do t: Yeah. Then do something, yeah. M1: I'm all for it. Mm-hmm. M2: yeah, they've they've gotta do something. yeah. Okay, I don't remember M1: Okay, I'll keep the Epcot train rolling 'cause like I said, I have a lot of Epcot thoughts. My next one, imagination pavilion redo. What do we think? M2: I mean, this is like this in my mind is Disneyland's Tomorrowland. I don't think they'll M1: Disneyland's Tomorrowland. It is. M2: I don't think they'll redo it unless they have a sponsor willing to pay for it. Kodak gets in and s does all this like I just think they're like, it's fine, kids like it, it's never gonna be that popular. To make an attraction like Fakement, like the the days of the 80s of people loving it so much are are gone. Like to make an attraction that popular again. That's like a slow moving ride of this like IP that only certain people get. I just think like I don't think they see the return. I don't think they see the return. I wish they did. I wish they did, but M1: I'm sure they don't, but it to me, it's one of those things where they have to at some point. It's so outdated. Like the screens and stuff in there are t: So outdated. M1: so outdated. It's terrible. Yes, M2: So out it was like outdated the day they opened it. M1: it's so bad. And it's like you transformed Epcot, and that's still there. Like, and that would that's the perfect Epcot any more kids stuff. Like, that's the perfect, like kid place. M2: But it's like we transformed Epcot, but when you walk in, Spaceship Earth is they sure they did the front of the park, but Spaceship Earth isn't refurbished. The seas is still feeling crusty. The inside of the land needs to be brought into this decade. t: Rusty. M2: Figment is crusty. Finally, they they did test t: Krusty. M2: track and they have guardians. Mission space is crusty. The Odyssey is crusty. Like I'm M1: Mission space crusty. The Odyssey is crusty. t: Rusty. M2: like 60% of Epcot is crusty. The world showcase is crusty. It's like it's crusty. t: crusty. It's crusty. my God. M2: It's crusty. Yeah. But I don't think they'll t: my God. It is. That's M1: That's why I'm I'm Epcut focused here. M2: do it. No, I just don't think they will. I would love if they did, but like t: No, because people love to fill that and drink around the world. They love to drink around the world and jump into the fountains. And but you're right, M1: Right. t: they need kids stuff so bad. And I was like reading about other people's theories before this, and somebody was like, i in inside out in the imagination pavilion. And you they brought that like meet and greet there with that like little portal M2: Mm. t: and stuff. And I think that they could do some like really cool, you know, I'm not even talking about the ride, I'm talking about post-ride. M2: Yeah. t: Like you know, like kind of like the body like air you know, that there used to be like like they could do that with all the emotions and have a lot of interactive things. That'd be so cute. M2: That would be so cool. They're doing it at Hollywood Studios. I mean, they are adding the whole like Also Wonderland playground. I'm like, they finally are realizing our favorite thing was going to the Honey I Shrek the Kids Playground at MGM. Like we love a playground. Every park and they have yeah, and the boneyard M1: Loved. And the boneyard. t: Yeah. Yes. M2: and they have those the little playground for the festivals. Kids are obsessed. Epcot and I mean they do have the mission space. They do have the mission space playground, but t: No, guess what Percy's Percy's favorite thing is the playgrounds. M1: Yeah. Yes. M2: yeah. t: It's that's it. That's the hit. I'm like we M2: They would love that. t: we bought a really expensive park ticket for you to go to the park. Like, but it's true. it's the best. It's the best. M2: I love the Redwood playground at California Adventure, so it's so fun. Yeah. M1: Okay, Taryn, what's your next? M2: Okay, Taryn. t: my god, it's me. okay, well, I'm switching it up and we're gonna do a Disneyland prediction. And that is that they're gonna say, We heard you, you guys. We know you don't want Avatar in DCA. We're gonna M2: This is one of mine. This is one of mine. M1: I had this t: give you what are we gonna give? One, two, three, Zootopia. No? Okay, okay. Well, you M2: Zootopia? Yeah, I could see it. M1: I would love it. t: guys must Listen, you guys must not be in the same Reddit threads as me. M2: I said Zootopia. I said Zootopia. t: Great. Okay. This is M1. Listen, she had a baby. We'll we'll let it slide. There's all this buzz M2: Yeah. Yeah, we'll let it go. We'll let it slide. t: happening online. There's all this buzz that of people saying that they're that Zootopia is what's gonna actually replace that. And that even that even some buzz, and I don't know if it's true, that they some people guests were getting surveys. M1: Surveys. M2: Surveys. Yeah. t: Yes, about like what extra IPs you'd like to see into the park and it like Zootopia is one of those. And I've also heard, but this is also a rumor, so please somebody will correct me, that the Monstropolis ride track is not so so different from the Zootopia ride in Shanghai. And that they could M2: Interesting. M1: they could retrofit. t: adapt that and retrofit it. So M1: I mean, my number one thing from this is do not bring Pandora to Disneyland. Avatar. No, no. When you look at why they brought Avatar to Disney World when they did, it makes sense. They were trying to attract men. They were trying to attract like older people, whatever. They were trying to, M2: Huge immersive thing, the mov yeah. M1: they had a whole thing. Bringing this little whatever they're gonna bring to Disneyland, they already have it in world. I know it's not a land. t: And they're not even calling it a land because it's so tiny. It's an experience. M1: It's a no. M2: No, M1: It's a no. Nobody wants this. M2: nobody it it feels like something they would build at like downtown Disney and be like, yeah, pop in this thing. It's like nobody wants it genuinely. t: Literally. Take a picture. M2: And guess what? At M1: Yes. M2: California Adventure, San Francisco is so popular. When you think of Zootopia being really successful overseas in those parks, like I could see it being incredibly successful at California Adventure and people would want and it'd be unique and they wouldn't build it at Disney like Disney World. I had the exact same prediction. I I just don't think there's any way when it's been and they've canceled things all the time that are very well received. Why would they force something in that people don't want? Just people don't want it. t: when they announced that I literally feel like you could feel it in the like everybody's like, M1: Deflated. t: whoa, for everything. And then they like announced that and everybody was kind of like, huh? M1: So funny. I actually was just looking at how our our content did from the 2024 D23. And that was the piece of content that did the worst. It did so badly because I think everybody was like, I don't care about this or want this. M2: But it's like here here's a thought, because I think like maybe they are in talks with who it's the guy who James Cameron, whatever that guy is. Okay, if you want to build this, build it in Animal Kingdom. Give us a third attraction. I mean, I would love a third attraction in Pandora at Animal Kingdom. So t: Great, yeah. M2: you're if you're planning all this stuff, sure, bring it over. Or literally make it some weird sort of like virtual thing in whatever happened to that weird, like combined third park thing at Disneyland that they were gonna do. That's still like stuck in. t: well that's Disneyland Forever is a very, very we're gonna see that in like 2050. M2: And yeah. M1: Yeah. t: so I if you guys recall, there's like this whole it's like the Hollywood back lot area of the Hollywood area that they're gonna take over for that. They M1: Yes. t: have two warehouses and then the ride, the Monstrobis ride. So they have more space than I think people think they do. And I think it's the perfect because Zootopia has all of these different types of city places, you know. It could totally blend in from the Hollywood city vibe and then into this like Zootopia city vibe. M1: Yeah. t: So I think it could totally work. M1: Also, years and years ago, an Imagineer told us that Zootopia was coming to Animal Kingdom. Okay, like plans change all the time, like whatever. But we were someone someone M2: They were like, we're positive. M1: said that to us who worked here. So they had plans for Zootopia in an American park. It didn't happen, obviously. I don't think it's coming to Animal Kingdom. I I I don't think they're gonna go that route. M2: No, I don't think they're gonna do it. M1: But maybe they're gonna take DCA. It was so yes, t: And with the second movie, it was so well received. M1: it was so good. M2: Yeah. I love yeah. I think I think I just can't imagine that with the little space that they have that they force something in that nobody wants. okay, because that was mine, I'll do one of my backups, which is that I think it is finally time and Blizzard Beach is gonna get a big refurb. I have been saying this. This is our f M1: You've been saying this. This is this is our fifth and final, by the way. t: Is this your is this your tomorrowland? M2: this is I'm just like we're Blizzard we're Blizzard Beach people. God, I spent so much time at Typhoon Lagoon. I've always loved Blizzard Beach more. And it's a great theme. It's very fun. Feels very, very, very like nineties, two thousandsy. In like a fun way, but I'm like, like this could be amazing and it's not. And I think that more people would go to Blizzard Beach if they plus it. They haven't added a new attraction to Blizzard Beach question mark ever? Ever? Maybe like M1: Ever. Yeah, it's interesting because Volcano Bay obviously is like, you know, the top of the top. It's supposed to be, we have not been supposed to be amazing, amazing. And Disney basically built their water parks and then said bye. And it's like never. There's such an afterthought for Disney. And it's like, maybe you should, you know, they give that they literally give it away as a free day. Yeah. M2: Yeah. They've never added something new to never added something new to Blizzard Beach since nineteen ninety five, other than adding the little frozen stuff. They've never like they had a crushing guster at Typhoon t: Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. The little M2: Lagoon and they took away our snorkeling bay, but I think it's time. Yeah. I think it's time. M1: Interesting. M2: So that's my last prediction. M1, your final thought? M1: Okay, my final one. This is so funny. Taryn actually like sort of referenced this, but in a slightly different way. Wonders of Life is coming back, and it's coming back as inside out. We're we're re-looking at the body through the lens of inside out. So we don't sort of have the weirdness that they had with the old wonders of life, but it's a fresh take. M2: We're just M1: there's look it up. There's a little bit of weirdness. it's a fresh take on a way to look at the t: Do a deep dive. M1: body. Yeah, do a deep dive. M2: That was my first deep dive ever. M1: through inside out. Do I think in reality this would t: I love that. M1: happen? Absolutely not. But again, yeah. Thank M2: No, I actually I think I might now that you said it, I think I might M1: you. And we do know that they have been, you know, Disney sometimes just lets things like sort of die. They've been maintaining the Wonders of Life building. We know that they've been doing like roof work and stuff on it for years. Like they've kept it up. And so for the play M2: For the play pavilion that they never built. M1: pavilion that they didn't build, and that's not happening, but instead, revamp. The body through inside out, it's perfect. M2: I love that. Yeah. All right. t: Love that. I would do that. M1: Thank you. t: Okay, mine is just an obvious one. They're gonna announce minimum three new cruise ships. M2: Yep. t: Minimum. M1: a hundred percent. We'll M2: Yep. M1: get I bet we'll get like sailing dates for the ones that are in the works. And then there's gonna be a whole new I agree. They are pumping out cruise ships. It's too many. M2: They're gonna be too many. Too many. t: Which is crazy to me. They are pumping out. Well, and I thought the last D twenty three, they literally announced like five. And M2: Yeah. Like t: I was like, what? And so M1: What? M2: But I was like, there's another ship after the destiny, like Jeepers, M1: Yeah. M2: creepers. t: Yeah. And I and I just, you know, I don't know you guys have done many more deep dives than me. But I mean M2: Diving deep. t: their their cruise business is booming. It's like they can't get enough. So like M1: Yes. No. M2: yeah. Yeah. M1: And e the cruises, like Mouse 2 and I have never been on a non-wish class ship, but I've looked at them quite a bit. They have moved so much more into like immersion on the cruises. And I think that that will continue to be pushed. And it's honestly like amazing because it's what the Disney parks want to be, where you can go to a lounge about Haunted Mansion. And it's controlled and there's not a billion people waiting for three hours, you know? It's so good. I we actually never talked about this on the news segment, but whenever the b they announced the new little commercial for Believe and the IP in it, there's like Bay Max in it. Like I would die if they had a Bay Max thing on the Believe ship. Like that would be amazing. M2: They can test out like these little, yeah, more like intimate like the Doctor Facilier thing on the destiny. Like, yeah, you could never do it in the park. I totally yeah, there's I feel like that's like a definite there's gonna be some yeah, all these cruises. M1: We're gonna get like a huge th slew of cruise stuff. t: Yeah. I put I put seven more cruise ships, but I don't think it'll be seven. But but like there's just no doubt. And and it kind of is like overwhelming to me because it feels like M2: Same. t: it's just like, is this necessary? But I mean, it is, I in my opinion, but exactly. M2: It's too many almost. But they I mean it's their moneymaker. Yeah, it's their moneymaker. All right, guys, those were our D23 predictions. Stay tuned. We'll see if any of these come true. Honestly, literally any of them. and we'll give you an update after D23, of course. But now I have a little game prepared. It's a rapid fire, true or false, of Disney opinions. I've come up with Ten kind of Disney questions, some of which we actually ended up sort of discussing discussing. And I'm gonna ask you and you guys say, Yeah, if you agree. So it's a mix of Disneyland and Disney World. All right, number one, Bayou Country is a terrible name for a land that has Winnie the Pooh in it. True or false? t: True. M2: Terrible. M1: Taryn, tell me, why didn't they just keep the name Critter Country when the whole thing about Tian's Bayou Adventure is it has the critters in it? M2: Bunch of critters. t: Is well and the thing too is that yes, and they basically have like tried to extend New Orleans Square w to like include her ride. And so why M2: Anwinny the Pooh, seemingly. t: rewrite rewrite the exactly rewrite the freaking your landlines and just include that in New Orleans Square and just have critter country just be Winnie the Pooh and add something else. Yeah. M1: As it was. Right. M2: The bare restaurant. But like make it a little bit like make it a storybook circus. Add a little like Winnie the Pooh playground like boom, you got a miniature Winnie the Pooh land. t: What a freaking playground back there. That's the perfect M2: Literally. t: place for a playground. Okay. That's the sleeper. M1: They're announcing that at D23, at Winnie the Pooh Playground. Get ready. M2: That's probably gonna happen. Okay, next up. Main Street USA is better at Disneyland than Magic Kingdom. My opinion is it's true. M1 loves me. I was wow, M1. I thought you would say. M1: It's true. It it hurts my heart. t: True. M1: It hurts my heart because I love Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom. Like it is so nostalgic to me. It's my favorite land. Like I'm obsessed with it. But like objectively speaking, the way that Disneylands still has that like little small shop feel and Magic Kingdoms doesn't anymore, it's sad. Disneylands M2: Yep. Yeah. Okay. M1: is better. t: So glad that you M2: True false, people think that Geppetto is a rare character at Disneyland, but he is actually the most common character that you can meet. Geppetto I He M1: True, I see Geppetto every single time I'm there. t: True. Gippetta, why? Why are you here again? M2: is out constantly. I don't even see Pinocchio that much. M1: We were just reading something that was like, yes, in fantasyland or Disneyland you can see rare characters such as Geppetto s occasionally. Mastle too and I are like, I see Geppetto every time I walk into fantasyland. He l he lives there. t: Every time. He M2: I've never stepped foot in there and not seen Geppetto. He is. Like bring t: literally he is the mayor of Fantasyland. Yeah. M1: Of fantasyland. Mm-hmm. M2: out bring out the New York. Okay. True or false. t: Anyone else? M2: True or false, Taryn. I'm t: No. M2: very curious about your take on this. Space Mountain is better at Magic Kingdom than Disneyland. I think true. t: my don't you know my opinion on this M2: You think Disneyland is better? t: You know we've had so many conversations M2: Yeah, we have. t: about this It is so much better in Disneyland It is the Matterhorn It's the Matter M2: Just is like a random roller coaster. It's a random roller coaster. t: horn we have both at Disneyland M2: No, no. M1: I will say I prefer Disneylands. I know. I do. I t: Yes, yes, yes, yes. M1: Magic Kingdoms doesn't always hit for me. I don't know. M2: Wow. it hits always. t: It's the matter horn. M2: It always hits. Is it the creepy man? Is that why? M1: It's just it feels dusty in there. Someone give that a big shine. It feels like it's from 1971. M2: No, it feels it feels no, no, no, no, no. It gives quintessential t: It feels dusty. M2: quintessential tomorrow land. Wow. Okay. t: Yes. I just M1: No it is, t: don't understand M1: but like t: how everybody complains about the matter horn and they're like, ow, it's so break my back. And then they M2: I love the Matterhorn. No. t: go and ride this one and they know say that about it. It's the same. Like what what? How M2: No, no, no, no, no. t: do you not feel the same about that? I don't understand. M2: Tomorrowland or the Space Mountain at Disneyland, just to me I'm like I'm on a random roller coaster at like Cedar Park or something, whatever that place is called. Yeah. M1: Obviously like Magic Kingdoms Disneyland I have the nostalgia for but I prefer Disneylands as a M2: Of the three Space Mountains, including t: My god. M2: at Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Space Mountain is the bottom of my list. I like it, but it's still the worst of the three I've been on. M1: Disneyland Paris is is ruined for me because it's hyperspace. M2: Well, I wish they would restore it back. But okay, next up. M1: Yeah. Like M2: Finding Nemo submarine ride is a great ride. True or false? True. M1: Taryn? M2: Taryn. t: False. M2: Taryn hates that ride. We should do that ride when we're there. It's been a while. We need to do it again. We did it as a family in 2008. I I did it at my spring break. And I think we did it again. I loved it. Taryn, we'll do it all together. We'll rope drop it. M1: Taryn hates that ride. Honestly, I haven't done that ride since when? 2008, I was gonna say. Okay. I don't think we've I've done it since 2008. We'll do it with you. t: one. Y my God, you know my story with this. M1: Yes. M2: You hate it 'cause you're claustrophobic. You got stuck. t: No, well not even that. It's one time okay, it smells like farts. It's so hot and humid and it a fart does get trapped in there every single ride. And then M1: Sure. M2: No, it doesn't. t: you are so you're so close to people. And one time I rode it in the summer and I had a very, very robust man sitting next to me. And he was sweating, completely dripping in his own sweat. And so much that he was so pushed up against me the whole ride that my clothes were drenched. Walking out of the submarine with his sweat. M2: That's not ideal, but feels like a unique situation. Give it another try. yeah, you know what? M1: That's makes me want to throw up. Okay. t: Does that make you want to write it? Should we write it? M2: I'll ride it for M1: Get ready. M2: any reason. Okay, true or false. Aventures campus needs a little je ne sais quoi. Needs a little something else. Needs a little sprucey boosy. M1: Okay, here's the thing. I love Marvel, but I do, I do agree. Avengers campus needs a little, je ne sais quoi, a little more, a little something. Yeah. I mean, supposedly there's two little somethings coming. M2: Yeah, little jeunesse. t: And little something. Yeah, it's so sad because supposedly. they M2: But like just a little bit more. t: they pr they have really just said, I give up, I fear, with that. They're building the stuff and so hopefully it gets a new life, but they have willingly canceled all of the live entertainment that was in there except for like M1: Yes. t: one the like Dora Milage show. The Doctor Strange show was so M1: Which is the sanctum show. t: good. M1: And they built that whole thing for it. M2: And I actually agreed. I even t: I loved it. M2: agreed. And just seeing the care like seeing these different little performances, it felt like what Galaxy's Edge was supposed to be. And it's like, yes, this land is coming to life only for that reason. And now I'm just like, meh. Yeah. t: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I know. M1: It's really t: I know. So sad. I you know what? We'll definitely get stuff M1: sad. Maybe we'll get that announcement at G twenty three. M2: Probably not because they already announced all the well defin t: about Avengers Campus. M2: the ride update, like more deeds and M1: Yeah, we won't cause genuinely, yeah. M2: date yeah. okay, true or false. The Yeah, what do it M1: Yeah. t: No, no. M2: the Pixar Pier Hotel needs more work before it truly feels Disney. I like the lobby area, I like the pool M1: True. M2: area, but the elevators The halls just feel like Disney bought a different hotel and redid it. And that's me and Mouse at one's maybe hottest take. But I'm curious what you M1: Yeah. Sorry. M2: think. No, and it feels like t: I mean 'cause that's what happened. M2: it. It feels like it. M1: And it feels like it. They did not quite successfully get there for me. When we are, I just need to tell you, when M2: Yeah. the lobby works, but t: I disagree, but I can see it, but yeah. M1: we are going to Disneyland next week, the Pixar Hotel is more expensive than the room we're staying in in the Disneyland Hotel. That is t: I know. Isn't that crazy? M1: outrageous to me. That hotel is way not as good as the Disneyland Hotel. I'm sorry. t: I know. It doesn't make any sense. I know. I know. M2: The fact that people will pay that money and I'm like, No, this isn't M1: Seven hundred dollars a night to stay in that hotel? Are you out of your mind? That hotel is not that good. I'm sorry. t: Yes, they are. I know. M2: Yeah. okay. Next up, we already discussed Avatar should not come to California Adventure. Yeah, M1: True. t: Get out of here. M2: like literally get out of here. M1: Bye. M2: All right, the final two, number nine. Stage shows need to return to California Adventure. They have this big theater there, and they had these amazing shows. We saw Aladdin, they had Frozen, so good, like Broadway, like so good. t: I'm crying. M2: And they had a special like Marvel show or something, didn't they? M1: Rogers, I'm livid that I never saw that. I'm so mad. t: Rogers the musical. it's it was so good. M1: Don't tell me that. Don't tell me that. M2: And they it just sits there, it just sits there abandoned. t: It's their greedy, greedy, money, grubby little fingers that just hate it's I live entertainment across M1: Live entertainment. M2: They hate live entertainment. t: yes, live entertainment across everywhere, but mostly Disneyland. Because there is no there's the Bluey show, which doesn't it kinda counts. M2: At least you the citizens. At least you have the citizens. We have nothing. t: It's true. M1: Nothing. M2: I think that Josh DeMaro is gonna do nothing to help that situation either. I think he's gonna just roll along with exactly t: I would love an announcement for the Hyperion. M1: Ugh. M2: like it it's like it's bizarre. Hello. t: It's so bizarre. M2: okay, and here's my last one, and I'm curious and I'm conflicted myself, but I Hollywood Studios is a better park than California Adventure, true or false. Because in a way, Sunset Boulevard is far better. Our Hollywood Boulevard is better. We have Galaxy's Edge in there. But Carsland is better than but I'm like, overall, I don't know. I feel like overall, actually, M1: CA is also really small. M2: but California Adventure, I feel like a little bit has a more of like a holistic story, a little bit that I'm like, yes, I see it. I get it. And Hollywood Studios, I'm like random little pieces, but t: Is truly plopped. Yeah. M2: yes. M1: Yes. M2: But I like stuff at Hollywood Studios more. And it is like a big yeah, bigger and better in a way. M1: I would maybe say that DCA is a better park though. M2: Overall, yes. You are. t: I will tell you, I mean, I think I'm biased, but I will tell you the one reason why I think it's a better park, and it's what we were just saying. I think it's the flow. It ha it actually can flow in a way, where Hollywood Studios truly is the worst park to navigate because it M2: No, literally. t: has no flow. And it's like you wanna get here? you gotta M1: No. And M2: Dead ends. M1: it's like, yeah, vroop, veroop. And it's like dink M2: And when we look at M1: dink dink yeah. M2: its counterpart Adventure World, while Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris, that park was also like randomly plopped, but they added this expansion and they added the big lagoon to ground it and they need to fill in the pieces. But it's like, yes. And at California Adventure, they have the waterway over by, you know, Pixar Appear. And it's like, okay, that's grounding it. And Hollywood Studios is just like nothing is grounding it really together. So, but I do love Hollywood Studios, but In a way, I think California Adventure is just like has a better view. all right. Those were those were our rapid fire questions. We're gonna wrap up with a pit and a peach of the week. I'll start with my pit. I had a horrible day at work today. Awful. I was talking to Mama Mouse. M1: You're not allowed to say that. M2: No, no, no, it wasn't even because I was stressed. It was just a bad day in general. I feel like I can say it. Thoughts? I think M1: Okay, fine. M2: yeah. Bad day. Bad day at work. Pit. M1: My pit is also work related. last week my company did massive layoffs. I was not laid off. I feel very lucky for that. But a lot of people that I knew were and it was very sad and just kind of a weird a weird week. So t: we'll just go with a make believe pit. M2: Turn had a tough, tough, tough, tough week. So t: We'll go with a we'll just we'll go with a made up pit, which is true actually. It's that I'm here in Utah and there's like hard water and they have to use like a water softener, a salt kind of thing in their water systems here. And it has made my skin like so itchy. M2: okay. t: the like salt in the water when I'm taking a shower. So that has been my pit. I'm like, I I wanna go home and take like a shower, a real shower. M1: That's uncomfortable. M2: my peach t: Yes. don't like it. M2: is that in one week we'll be at Disneyland and also going to a fine, I'm going to a Hillary Duff concert on Saturday. M1: I always tell you that that's not allowed to be your peach. That's okay. t: Yeah. M2: Yeah, I'm going to Hillary Duff. t: That's cool. M1: My peach is that yesterday, as of the time of this recording, was my son, the Miklit's six month birthday. And so as his birthday present, we put him in a little half birthday hat and we let him have a giant piece of steak to nod. And he was obsessed with it and it was so cute. It was so cute and fun. It was very fun. M2: So gross disgusting. t: That's so cute. Okay, wait, I want to see a picture. my peach is that I booked a massage for Saturday. M2: As you should, as you deserve, as mommy deserves. In Utah? M1: my gosh, as you should. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. t: Yes. Mm-hmm. and I got Muppet Nails. That's my true my true peach. My niece Maya M1: your Muppet Nails. Those are amazing. Those are so good. M2: my god, I saw that. Your Muppet Nails look so good. t: is incredible artist and she's a nail artist and she just like freehand she literally looks at a picture and she just goes my cow. I know. Yeah. M2: Insane. Yeah, those look so good. okay, M1: They're so good. M2: we'll wrap up with a little a little factoid of the day. A little fact of the day. I'll start because I have one in my mind. We're talking about the imagination pavilion, and the entire bottom floor of the imagination pavilion at Epcot used to be the original ride. In fact, they had a massive turntable that allowed you to board the ride. And if you walk into the loading area today, There's like a almost like a temporary floor. It feels like you're like walking down to an airplane. Like it's hollow because the turntable is still under there for part of it. That's my fact. t: God, we are missing so many good things. M1: We are. My M2: We are. Fact. M1: fact is that outside of the Chinese theater in Hollywood studios, they had invited Audrey Hepburn to come do her handprints. And after that happened, the real Chinese theater realized, oops, we never had Audrey Hepburn actually put her handprints here. We would like her to come here now. And they invited her and she said, Nope, you did not invite me. And so the only place you can find her handprints are at the one at Walt Disney World. M2: Iconic Queen. M1: Iconic. t: My God. I always M2: Yeah. M1: I know. t: forget this is happening. Good thing I have so many tidbits in my brain. Mine is M2: No, literally, it's so easy, you don't even have to prepare. t: Mine is I just I actually heard this recently and I don't know where I heard it, but it was that in Toy Story One, in Andy's birthday party scene, M1: Mm. t: all of the kids are actually Andy's face. M2: That's crazy. my God. You You're M1: That's crazy. No, that's crazy. t: Ha ha ha. M2: crazy for that. You're actually insane for that. Seriously. M1: That's a little callback to sitting on the ground talking. so if you want to hear the lore behind that, join Patreon. M2: Wow. Crazy. Yeah, I guess that's a great way to wrap it up.
