P: Hello, dosies, and welcome back to another episode of The Dose of It. My name is Priss and right next to me is the scrumptious, daintiest, snatchest queen Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: there ever has been. the the queen of England right now is Miss Taylor Mae aka Miss Liver May. We are together livers, and we are so happy to have you guys back for another episode of the Dose of It. Liv how are you doing? Taylor: Yes. Well, first of all, hey Liv. I'm doing good. I can't help but tell you if you guys are not watching the visual version and only listening to the audio, I can't help but feel a little naked right now because we're not wearing our headphones. And it's like it's a I'm like literally sitting here. I went to go like grab my headphones for a second. But so we're adjusting to that. But I'm feeling good. P: Yes. Taylor: I thrifted this shirt, so she also said. Queen of England because I'm wearing this shirt. I don't even know is that a person? Is that like a br a band? I don't know, but I found her at the thrift and I thought she was cute. So thank you. P: I love that. No, it's very iconic. It's giving one direction in the best way. yeah, Taylor: Yeah. P: so you guys, we're not wearing our headphones right now, so hopefully we sound okay. The reason we're not wearing our headphones is because my ear piercings are hurting so bad today. I got them done about two weeks ago. I got them done. Like I got filler in my ears. No, I got them pierced like two weeks ago, and for some reason they're just a little angry today, and my headphones were just kind of sitting on them very awkwardly. And mid-episode, I said, Liv, I cannot do this. We have to figure out a way. No, I Taylor: She said, Back it up. Yeah. P: said we have to figure out a way because I can't not film. Like we have to film this episode. so we're improvising right now. So this doesn't mean that it's a forever thing, but we kinda like it. We kinda like it. So we're gonna kinda see how it goes. Taylor: Yeah, I kinda like it. I feel like I'm not like like usually I feel a little constricted by the headphones. And like sometimes P: Yeah. Taylor: like they kind of do hurt your ears, even with me P: Her Taylor: like without me having like new piercings. So I feel a little free. I feel a little like I don't know how to. P: I feel free and I kind of feel like we're just kind of chopping it up now. Taylor: Yeah. P: I felt very restricted, like you said. So I don't know. Let us know how you guys like Taylor: Really? P: If you guys are new Taylor: Yeah. P: here and you're like, what is the dose of it? This is your very first episode that you found us on. First of all, thank you so much for even clicking on whatever it is that you clicked on that led you here. But the dose of it is a podcast where me and my girl Taylor talk about our wellness journeys. We've both been on a GLP for While now. But our Friday's episodes, which is this one right here, is called Side Effects because We're talking about something random in this jar. And whatever this jar tells us to talk about is what we're gonna talk about. Kind of like side effects. You never know what you're gonna get It just kind of comes. Taylor: Yes. You literally never know what you're gonna get with side effects. And Liv actually came up with this idea of a little jar and like drawing ideas out of it for an episode topic. We come from like the Tuesday episodes that are very you know, I don't want to say serious because they're sometimes silly, but they're very like outlined. Like we have an outline for the episode. We know what we're doing. We have a topic. We're going in there prepared. We've done our research. But this, we don't know what are in these jars Well, we do because we put them in there, but we don't know what we're gonna get until we draw it in front of you guys live. Liv likes to do a little game on her end where she has some blue cards in her jar as well. You'll notice that I don't. And Liv's our little s little spooky. P: Little spooky. Taylor: Liv's are wild card blue cards. And Liv is gonna try to grab a little wild card on her end. P: FOMO you guys, if I'm not drawing, I need to draw. So I said, let me put some blue cards in here. So I always get to draw. The the theme of the blue Taylor: Sure. P: cards is none. There's no theme. But whatever comes out of the blue card, we have to do. We have to do whatever the blue card tells us to do. So that if that says kiss, darn, we have to kiss. Taylor: It would be you to put the kiss one in. She made me try to kiss her at one time, guys. my god. That horny P: Okay, you guys. Taylor: game she made us play. If you haven't watched that the only episode that we've ever done in person together and that will be the only one, because we learned we can't act together. P: That will be the only one. No, I will liter the only way we can film is if I'm like this if I'm sitting right across the room from you, like you have to be in an opposite direction than me. I cannot be next to you, bitch. I just it's just not gonna work. It's not gonna work. That was the worst Taylor: We can't be serious. No. P: episode we've ever filmed a date. So embarrassing. Worse than the very first episode that we've ever watched. Really quick, I get so shy and a little embarrassed and a little I wanna hide under a rock when somebody's like, I'm currently listening to your first episode. And I'm like Taylor: Same. Mm-hmm. P: Please don't. There's honestly a part of me that would like to delete it, but I Taylor: I'm like, don't just skip skip to like the third season. P: know I'm not going to because it's Baby Priss and Baby Taylor on their very first adventure. But Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: it is so embarrassing, y'all. The mic sounded like shit. The Taylor: Mm. P: headphones were not working. We didn't know what the hell we were doing. A lot of just talking in circles. Honestly, we did the best we could. And shout out to us, because now we're here. And now let me actually read these, y'all, real quick, before we even get into it. We have hit some milestones on the Dose of It platforms. And I just want to shout y'all out because y'all are freaking amazing. Okay. yeah, drum Taylor: Yes, drum roll please. P: roll, please. We are at 900 followers on Instagram, Taylor: Yeah. P: which is insane to me because what the frick? on our YouTube, we are almost to 900. We are at 860. So, y'all, Taylor: Dang. P: It's all y'all. It's literally all you guys. And then TikTok, we're at three thousand seventy-eight. So I can't wait to see where we're Taylor: Insane. Insane. P: gonna be at in a few weeks from now. Taylor: Yeah. P: y'all are insane and I just care so much about y'all. But without further Taylor: Yes. P: ado, let's get into the side effects. I'm gonna try to get into a blue a blue little thing in here. Live I feel so free without the headphones. I just to say. I have so much room for activities right now. Okay. Taylor: I know, I feel so good. I know I can like P: sorry. I just kissed y'all. Uh-huh. Okay. Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: No, I was I I wasn't even gonna pick this one actually. No, we don't read this till the middle. Taylor: So we don't read that yet, right? Like it gets set aside. Okay. guys, this is my jar. And we're gonna P: Like what is it? show and tell. Wait, Liv, before you pull, we need drink. Hydration check. Taylor: you're right. Hydration check, guys. What are we doing? Okay. P: Mm. Mm mm mm. What? Taylor: I'm gonna be real honest. And I'm gonna be real honest and vulnerable. It's probably been about seven business days since I hit my water goal. And I'm talking the full one twenty. I feel like I've been hitting a good eighty, P: Yeah. Yeah. Taylor: but have I been hitting my one twenty? P: Well, you know what? Today we're gonna drink that whole cup. Taylor: yeah, this'll this will be empty. I've been okay with finishing two of these, but I find myself when I go to finish that third one, I'm like P: Y'all, I'm gonna be real vulnerable too. I know this is like our Friday FaceTime call, but I've just been craving coffee all day long. And I know that's not good. It's not good. I've been having to tell Taylor: Mm. Me with my P: myself, drink your water. I literally had this conversation with myself on the phone with Taylor today. I said, I Taylor: Yeah. P: can't do it, liv I said, I I System will function. go Taylor: It's like a goat. Like have you ever seen those have you seen those videos recently, the TikToks? I think I've sent them to you where you talk back and forth to the goats. Then you go up to like the you go up to like the goat thing, and apparently if you like look at goats and you go, they'll like do it back to you. That was kind of a turkey. That was kind of a turkey. P: No. No, that's actually kinda fun. I will do that. Y'all, real quick, Liv texted me the other day. She was editing which I don't know what video it was, but she was like, bitch, you were we're talking about petal the album by Ariana Grande And she said that apparently I sounded like I was saying pero Taylor: Yeah, the the literally guys, the captions, like the auto captions that our like platform does was catching it was literally pero like P-E-R-O. And I was like, P: I'm dead. Okay, but back to what I was saying. Yes, water goal hitting it has been a little hard for me to live. But this episode and moving forward, we are gonna have to get better about these water checks because I feel like mid episode we just forget because we're yapping. So we need to make sure that we're hitting our water check. Yeah. Yes. And Taylor: We do I feel like I'm gonna put it in front of me. I have it like out of my peripheral, so like I'm gonna put it in front of me so I like remember. P: And y'all call us out in the comments. If you notice that we've only done one hydration check, say, hey, y'all only did one hydration check. That is not enough to finish your your cup. Taylor: Y'all ain't hit it enough. Mm-hmm. P: So y'all hold us accountable and we'll hold you accountable. Okay. So Taylor: Period. P: Liv, let's go ahead and dig in. Taylor: Okay, alright guys, here's the jar of madness. Alright, a little scared. Okay. P: I'm a little nervy. Taylor: Okay. This is what I pulled. I'm gonna close her back P: Okay. Taylor: up here. P: Closer back up. Taylor: is it too loud, imagine? P: No, I loved it. Taylor: Ooh, are dating apps ruining dating? P: This is a good one, Liv. We can really dive into this one, I feel. I like this one. I like this one. Yeah, I like this Taylor: I think I like this one. I think I like this one. This one's good. Okay. P: one. Okay, so let's hit it. Our dating apps ruining whatever she said. I have Taylor: Ruining P: the brain of a pea but I have the waist of I don't even know. A Coke. A Coca-Cola? Yeah, that's giving. okay. Taylor: But a bottle. P: A Coca-Cola bottle. Yeah. Wait. I don't know what word that was. Taylor: You're right, you don't need any more caffeine. She's right. P: Okay, let's get into it. I come from a successful Tinder story. However, Taylor: And that's crazy. P: I know. However, it was not always successful. It was not. I always told people Tinder's scary, and I still stand on that. Taylor: So scary. P: Tinder is very scary. It's literally like this jar of side effects. You never know what you're gonna get. You Taylor: Mm-hmm. Mm-mm. P: never know who you're gonna get. I was on Tinder for years before I even got lucky with Puff. And it was a lot of trial and error. It was a lot of scary moments. Taylor: yeah, wow. Dating apps I feel like are hard for one because one I just want to say the fact that you have a successful Tinder story is like crazy because like usually like you'll hear like, yeah, I met my man on Bumble, I my hand man on Hinge or Hilly or like but P: Hilly? Taylor: yeah, Hilly, isn't that like one of the ones, I think? P: have not been on an app in so long. That's kind of Taylor: I don't know. I think P: crazy. Taylor: I get I get ads for it all the time. So maybe that's a niche one. P: Hilly. Wow. Taylor: But I love the fact that you and Mr. Puff met on Tinder and like you're a happy Tinder moment. But yeah, dating apps for me, my biggest apprehension about them, and then I get scared is because I don't get to really make my decision about you until I have to meet you in person, like physically. But it's also scary, I guess what I'm trying to is like if you meet someone organically at a bar. Okay, you can immediately clock if the breath stinks, if they're too short, if they're you don't like something about like, I don't know, the way they talk, or P: Yeah. Taylor: you they're rude to the waitress or something, like you just meet someone at the bar or they're mean to the bartender, whatever, you can clock all those things without wasting time of like an app and like talking for the week before you guys even go on a date on the app. And like, you know, then like for me, my questions because I'm sorry, and I'm gonna say this y'all aren't truthful on the maps, y'all aren't truthful on the maps. And I'ma show up to that date and I'm thinking you're five ten and you're my height. P: You five, ten hours away from that height Taylor: Yeah. You five to ten hours away from being five ten. Right. Yeah. It's it's not giving five ten, it's giving five five. and those are just like I can really dating apps really can freaking suck sometimes, but also like you have a moment where like you're right, like you you do have like a good little moment with a dating app. P: Feel like every dating app though is for different purposes, and I know that's gonna sound Taylor: Yeah, Tinder. P: so weird. okay, I'm so unexperienced in this department, y'all, and it's kind of weird to me to say that because I'm pretty good when it comes to the trends and the internet and shit like that. But the dating apps, I'm far from it. I will Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: say though, when my bestie Dustie is in town, I I was gonna say Taylor: I say you've set me up on a f yeah, she'd be setting people up. P: I do control the app because I'm like, let me see what's in the area, let me scope them out for you, okay? I have a Really good intuition and it's a little too good sometimes, okay? So I Taylor: She does. She does. P: always tell Dustie I'm like, let me let me look at these people real quick. so I do know a little bit about them right now, but I feel like every dating app has different purposes. I do feel like Tinder is more of like a hookup app. Was I using it for that? Not necessarily. But looking back at it, I'm like, Taylor: Very feel like maybe. P: it was giving hookup only. I don't think anyone like I don't know, Puffer was I think Puffer downloaded Tinder thinking it was like a wholesome I don't even think he knew what Tinder was, if I'm being so honest with you. I don't even Taylor: I don't th yeah, I don't see him. P: think he knew. I he had messaged wing me and one other person. Taylor: Really? P: No, literally there was only two messages up in there, okay? So, I don't Taylor: So sweet though. And he said, no bitch, it was a fifty-fifty and he said her, he knew. He was like you. Mm-hmm. P: A hundred, thank you. but I don't think he knew what the app was meant for. I think he just wanted to date someone Taylor: No, ain't no way. P: and was like, Tinder is very popular. Let me download it. Which I'm not saying that everyone on Tinder is just trying hook up, but for me back in the day, Tinder was giving slide in my DMs and meet me here. You know what I'm saying? It is. Taylor: Mm. It still is, babe. It still is. P: Okay, so and on Tinder, it didn't have as many like restrictions as like the other apps. Taylor: Right. P: Some other apps you can't send photos that like have this in it. Some apps you can't say this because it'll block you right away. also Tinder, why do you think some people be getting their accounts banned on there? Because Taylor: Mm. P: they be doing rowdy stuff. They be advertising that blue app. And I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with that, because get your bag. But I'm saying like that app right there, meet me at meet me at midnight. Taylor: Mimi at midnight. Y'all, Tinder is still Tinder is still to this day that way. Like you, and it's crazy to me too, because like I should know this as someone who like is also on Tinder and is like well aware of what people do on Tinder. But like you'll have someone who like you meet on Tinder and is like for whatever random weird reason, it's like I actually want to take you to a nice dinner. So you're like, okay, period, let's go to a nice dinner. You're thinking that it's a Mr. Puff and Mrs. Puff situation where you're gonna find your one on Tinder, right? No. You're gonna you're gonna get wined and dined. And then that guy's gonna go, so you know, it'd be really nice if I could see what your bed looked like. And it's like, whoa, dude. It'd be P: It would be really nice if you took your pants off right now. Taylor: really nice if you took your pants off. But like that whole like it's just not even that I have a problem with like hookup culture, but it's more so like P: That's just not what you want right now. Taylor: it's well, it's that, and it's also like I want my thing is is it's like I feel like sometimes people on that app are not upfront about why they're on that app. You know, if you wanted to wind and if you wanted to just get in my bed. You could you could tell me that. If you wanna P: Yeah. Taylor: take me out on a nice date and make me think that like you're actually gonna be into me, and then not the entire time that we've talked been like, hey, I wanna get in your pants, but until we're together and the date is over, you wanna invite yourself P: Yeah. Yeah. Taylor: to my house? P: Let me see if I get this right. Okay. It's been a long time. When I was in my prime, aka dating time, when I Taylor: Hmm. P: was outside, I actually never tried hinge because I thought hinge was a little boring. Taylor: Wow. P: Because with hinge, don't you have like a certain amount of likes that you can do? Taylor: You do. And actually, I think Tinder you do now too. But it's definitely P: really? Taylor: it's definitely way more. Like you have to be like sitting there tapping all day long. P: You have to be there like eight hours a day. Taylor: But hinge, yeah. Hinge is also hard because you like Hinge for this reason. So P: Yeah. Taylor: you get you get limited likes on Hinge for sure, but I also like it because it automatically brings the people who like you into your like you get to see who likes you immediately. P: No, I was actually gonna say, I think hinge gives me clean vibes. I could be wrong, okay? I could be wrong. Taylor: Yep. Yeah. P: But clin clinge. I'm clinging these cheeks. Taylor: I'm clinching P: hinge gives me clean vibes. Like not clean, well, yeah, kinda. It gives me like safer vibes than Tinder does. Taylor: Yeah. P: it gives me more like serious. Like men on there might be a little more serious than they are on Tinder. I Could be wrong though. I have not been on these apps in years. me about to say months is crazy. Taylor: Well, I did meet someone well, I did meet someone recently on that app P: never mind. So that's actually wrong. So Bumble though. Bumble though. I Taylor: Yeah, so Bumble P: feel like Bumble also gives me clean, but I think it's just Tinder if I'm being honest. I mean, there's a Taylor: Yeah, I think I should P: bunch of other ones. I'm not even trying trying to diss Tinder because I literally would not have my husband without Tinder. But I was on Tinder for like six to eight Taylor: Yeah. It's hard. P: years. Okay. When I before I met Puff. So Taylor: Hide. P: wait, no, I was not on there for like six years. That's actually crazy. I would have been like 15. I was on there for like three years, like three, four years. So I definitely was not on there for that long. I take it back. I was on there probably for like three years. And I was terrified, y'all. I think I did have Bumble for a little bit. I wasn't very impressed with Bumble because my area that everyone kind of starts to look the same. Taylor: Mm. P: fun fact, Puff actually lived like thirty minutes away from me in a different city. So he actually wasn't even A local, which I loved because I'm like, thank the Lord. Taylor: Yeah. Hinge is hinge is okay. I have to agree with what you said with like hinge feels like clean, like maybe like a little bit more like I feel like definitely I guess like clean girl aesthetic. I think P: It gives like clean girl aesthetic compared to all the other apps. Yeah. Taylor: definitely like the older, like and I'm not saying older as in like, but I think like the more like kind of like sophisticated or like more, you know, they have their lives put together kind of people feel like they're on hinge. P: No, I agree. I agree. Taylor: bumble I think is like a middle ground between like I think Bumble is like the middle child, right? And then like Tinder's like the the youngest, like the rowdy. P: Yes. Bumble I think is the balls in your court though, no? Like the girls have control. Taylor: The bumble is bumble, you have to make the first move. And I that makes me a little nervy sometimes, but I kind of like it like sometimes like you shoot your shot and you like think you say the like clever thing and then you get ignored and you're like, fuck you. but honestly, like I feel like the hardest part about dating apps for me is just like the unknown. Like I'm such like P: And Taylor: a very like picky person. And you really have to like trust that these people are being truthful to you while they're like on the app. And like I've ran into like I said, the men will literally say on their they're five eleven and you show up and I'm five five five six and you're the same height as me. I'm like something wrong P: Yeah. Well, first of all, I would like to say that I think you have to be picky because some of these men just be lying straight out their teeth. Taylor: They do. P: so you have to call out and you have to be picky. So good for you for being picky. Taylor: Yeah. P: but I do think the unknown is very scary. You never know what you're gonna get. I mean, and sometimes you see what you're gonna get, but then you pull up to the dates or you get to know them a little bit longer and then Taylor: Yeah. P: they show you a side of them that you're like, Where was this a few weeks ago? Because Taylor: Where was that? Mm-hmm. P: you are not the person that I remember. That's very scary. I have I had like a little bit of a moment where I was like dating or like not dating around, damn that's crazy. I was dating and Taylor: Yeah. P: I had been with this person probably for a couple weeks, couple months, maybe, and then I'm trying to get like a little bit of an ick here. I was telling Dusty this the other day, it's almost like you're like shopping for a partner. Taylor: Yeah. P: You're kind of like which if you were Taylor: Yeah. P: to show like someone back in the day, like you can find a Partner on this app, if you would like to look, Taylor: Maybe like P: they'd be like, What do you mean? You know, it Taylor: it literally is like online shopping. Yeah. P: really is. it's very different compared to like how people used to meet back in the days. Like my mom, I need to find her a man quickly. Okay. I want Taylor: Yeah. P: her to start dating very soon, but she's still very not necessarily like anti-dating apps, but she's kind of like, Are we sure about dating apps? And I'm like, You, I don't know. No, but it's it's a five. Apparently, Taylor: Yeah. P: right now, Facebook dating is very in. Taylor: I was gonna say Facebook dating your mom, but I feel like beyond Facebook dating. Like your mom's a very Facebooker. Mmm. P: What is Facebook dating giving? Taylor: how do I say this? P: Not good. Have you ever tried Facebook dating? Taylor: Four years ago. You know how I know that it was exactly four years ago? Is because Kim and I were looking through old messenger messages and someone had messaged me four years ago and it was like, I found you on Facebook dating. So four years ago, I was probably like twenty. P: Wait, okay, backtrack just a little bit. With Facebook dating though, do you they have access to your personal Facebook account? No, that's a little creepy. I'm not gonna lie to you. Taylor: Yes. Right. That's what I was gonna say. It's a little creepy. Facebook dating is a little weird because they see everything about you. But here's the thing too about Facebook dating is it's not just like local people. Like I remember I would have people message me from like South Carolina. Like you can pretty much change like to whatever location that you wanna see and like have people kind of like reach out to you for free. P: For free? That's really weird. I don't like that, I don't think. Taylor: It it was it's kind of creepy, honestly. And I feel like it just kind of the vibe that Facebook gives me in general is like kind of old, creepy, scary men. So I was kind of the people that were on P: No. Taylor: Facebook dating. You know what I do wanna ask you if you know about? Do you know about Rea? P: No Taylor: I think it's like R-A-Y-A. I think that's how you say it. But it's a dating P: Mm. Taylor: app for influencers, bitch. It's a dating app for influencers or like famous people. And P: What? I'm gonna be real with you though, Liv. I don't think I would wanna date another influencer. Taylor: Yeah, I think that would be really hard. I think it would be P: I think you would be like constantly in this game of like comparison. And maybe Taylor: Yeah, that's true. P: like in this game of like, are you actually with me because you like me? Or are we trying to get clout off of each other? Taylor: Right, P: I love that Puff is a hermit crab. And I'm not even kidding. the last time he changed a Facebook profile picture was back in twenty nineteen when we took our very first photo. he watches YouTube reels, YouTube shorts. My king. Taylor: Yeah, 'cause he doesn't even have TikTok downloaded, does he? P: No, he doesn't have anything. And I love it, honestly. I think it's such a cleanse because when I want to put my phone down, he's ready to go. You know, he doesn't have to like get off of it. So I have had to teach him how to work certain things because he doesn't know how to fucking do it. But Taylor: I love it. P: it. There's one called Woo Plus. Taylor: my god, I've been on that app before. P: No, you're lying! Wait, I the tea. But before let's drink water. Wha hydration check, please. Taylor: You're right. Let's hydrate. Whoa, have I been on Wooplus? But yeah, girl. Woo plus. I have been on woo plus. P: We'll get into that. Woo plus for those of you that don't know is the plus size heating app, right? Okay. Is it plus size for women and men or just women? Taylor: It is. It is a plus size dating app. And yeah, I think it was women and I think it was women and men. but Woo Plus kind of gave the same vibe, if I remember properly, is like you could meet anyone from anywhere. Like I feel like I remember people from like other countries messaging me on there. I think. I think I remember like literally having someone from like I think it was like South Africa talking to me, but I can't remember. I remember I like, what the fuck? But Woo Plus for me And we kind of talked about on the last Friday episode, is like I would think about these men are just fetishizing me, right? We kind of can connect to last week's episode. Like I kind of was just thinking, like, ooh, like I don't know if these men actually, you know, think I'm beautiful. I think they're only looking at neck now. Okay. They're only worried about P: Yeah. Taylor: neck now. And they're not worried about my brain at all. They don't care about what's going on on the inside. So I think I literally, I don't even think I went on a single date from WooPlus. Like I think it was just like. P: Get it though. Like I get why the apps are made because I hate to say it, but like yeah, I mean sometimes plus size women like on dating apps, it's hard out here because Taylor: Very hard. P: you you just know right away. And it's also hard, right, with dating apps because you are what is a word when somebody judges you just based off how you look. you're being perceived just based off of your photos. And you have just that to go off of. Your bio's obviously there, but I don't know about y'all, but I hate typing a bio. It's like the worst thing ever. And Taylor: Bio is so stressful. Yeah. P: I try to make my bio cute. I'm like, not too many emojis, not too many uppercases, not too many lower cases. Taylor: God, I know. Yep. You gotta open the can of worms to see what kind of worm you're gonna get. And it's like P: Also, like what do I tell you with the very first message I send? Like how do I approach you? I don't know Taylor: Yeah. Mm-hmm. P: how you like to be approached at. I don't know. Yeah, no, dating apps are legit a different Taylor: Yeah. Well, P: beast. Taylor: and this is something that like I know Liv, like you probably but you like still are gonna understand like the emotions of it, but like something that I've been going through, like especially while I'm on dating apps, is like thinking like do I have to tell these people that like I've lost weight, you know? P: Okay, so I think with that, if I'm being completely honest, I have seen you talking about this. I don't think so. I don't think that you owe them that. Because that's not that's who you were, yes. But that's not who you always have to be. I think that's who you were before, but you're a different person now. And it's helped you mold to this Taylor. I just kind of feel like I mean if that makes you feel comfortable, do it. But do I per would I personally find that to be something that I have to tell you? No. No. Taylor: I guess it's like a way for me to like put my walls up in a sense and like protect myself 'cause like I guess I think of it of like if I just tell them like 'cause here's my thing, is like inevitably, right? If if this relationship goes further further with someone, at some point they're gonna see me a little naked and they're gonna see my loose skin. Mm. P: If if you were to bring it up because you are proud of that, that's a different story. You Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: should talk about that all day long because that is a huge accomplishment. And I think that if you are using it in a sense of putting your walls up, I don't think that's fair. However, if you're using it in a sense of saying like I lost 170 pounds and I'm like so proud of myself, that's something about me. Because one thing about me is my weight loss journey is a whole personality trait for me. Taylor: Yeah. P: And I think that is for you too. And it it should be for anyone that's on it because I know what it's like to almost be 400 pounds, and I'm so fucking proud to not be there anymore. But to use it to put a wall up though, I think you're cutting yourself Taylor: Well, P: short. Taylor: I feel like I do it in a sen not necessarily because I'm like, I'm very proud of it. And that has been like a conversation started for me on the apps where I'm like, and like, you I am on like a health and fitness journey. I have lot like and I'll say it like in a sense like where I'm proud of it, but I think it's also a way of me like subliminally protecting myself of like, you know, if this person is gonna judge even the slim fact that like I've lost weight, you know, yeah. P: I think you'll see that though. When you start to date this person and get to know them for who they are, and they start to show you their personality, they start to show you who they are on the inside, you'll know if they're fat phobic. I Taylor: I'm usually like I'll say it like, like I have lost hundred and seventy pounds. Like like, you know, fitness is so important to me now. Like and I kinda like we'll use this like a starter conversation. Yeah. P: That's perfect. if you're saying, fitness is so important to me, I've lost 170 pounds. I think that's great. Taylor: I think it's just me being like, you know, it's it's a weird conversation of do you tell them or do you P: I don't want you to ever feel though that like you are not worthy of who it is that you're talking to because you were 400 pounds back then. I think that the person that you'll meet that is your person, regardless of what they look like, is gonna love you for who you are now and will love you for who you were back then Back to circling that question. Do we think that dating apps are ruining today's society, right? Love society, love li love life? Taylor: Or do we think it's ruining dating? P: like anything in life, I think they can. I Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: think that for a lot of people, dating apps is Hate to say like the only way, but the only way that they'll feel comfortable to do it. I mean, Taylor: Yeah. It's true. P: if it was up to if it was me and I saw Puff, if I'm being so honest, you guys, I'm gonna and I've said this before, I Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: swiped on Puff on accident. I thought he was a catfish. He had the same photos over and over again. If I hadn't accidentally swiped on Puff and gotten to meet him in real life and gotten to know him who for who he was, I wouldn't have my husband. So I do think that some people come on dating apps with very wrong intentions that are looking for what you don't want. everyone is different. Everybody wants different things. But if you Taylor: Mm-hmm. P: know what you want, don't settle for anything less. and I think that a lot of people like me, if I saw Puff at the bar or at the store or something, my first initial thought thought wouldn't have been to go up to him and be like, hey, what's up? Like, you fine as fuck. I would have probably waved to him. Do you know when you meet someone and you're not automatically like attracted to them, but you start to talk to them and you're like, you start to get to know them as a person, and you're like, you are actually so attractive. And no matter what anyone says, Puff is the most hottest, handsomest man in my eyes because I know who he is. I know his inside and his out. I'm not saying that I was not attracted to him when I met him. I was, but at the same time, I'm like, you are not my type. You are not my type at all. but if it wasn't for the dating app, I would have just stuck with my type that I was completely not gonna be going anywhere with. So it it got me out of my comfort zone. And I was able to speak to someone because I had confidence to actually text someone versus like going up to them in person. Taylor: Yeah. I agree with what you're saying. I think that dating apps, they can suck sometimes, but especially because I've had negative experiences, I'm not gonna say that it's gonna ruin all further experiences for me. I think it's all about, you know, trusting your intuition, you know, when being on those apps, because that's something that I have to get good at. Is if like I get the smallest of a little bit of a red flag well, if I get the smallest of a red flag with you. you know, even through the app, like I should trust and be like, okay, like, you know, I'm gonna trust my intuition here. But I think it also it does help because like you said, like, you know, not everybody's walking around Target or the grocery store or whatever and P: Or Lowe's. Taylor: or Lowe's and being like, like I'm here for, you know, I'm I'm looking for single eligible P: I'm here for a five, ten, six six inches crazy. Taylor: Whoa. That's my favorite inch. anyways. but it's hard because it's like nobody it I think dating apps really it lets you see all the eligible singles in your area. And like obviously it's it's great. P: Yeah. I mean it makes it accessible for people and especially like busy people that Taylor: Yeah. P: ha like corporate baddies who can't always just be out at the club think that dating apps for some people, that's what's what's Taylor: What's available? P: available to them. Taylor: Yeah. P: Liv, I gotta know though, before we end this conversation, we should say our worst Tinder dates. Taylor: Like P: I'll go first. while you load. Okay, Taylor: okay. Okay. P: so one time, y'all. I should have fucking known this was already a red flag. Okay. This man hit me up and said, let's hang out. Let's go on a date. I said, okay, period, let's go on a date. I thought dates to me are like lunchtime, maybe dinner time. He said, let's hang out at 10 o'clock. At nine. Taylor: Mm. P: And I'm like, in my head, is this normal for people to be hanging out this late in the day? I I had not been on a lot of dates before. Taylor: He's trying to get in them pants P: So I said, okay, fuck it, let's hang out. Maybe this is normal, okay? He pulls up to this restaurant, it's dark as fuck outside. And in my head, again, I'm a hopeless romantic too. So I'm like, maybe he rented out this restaurant for me. Ugh, cause he was a cook. Taylor: Mm. P: So I'm like, maybe he's gonna cook for me. I don't fucking know. Girl, no, he did not rent that no month. He did not rent out no frickin' restaurant for me. He said, let's go to the back of this truck. I said, let's let's not go to the back of the truck. Mind you, I had I was fresh into the dating world. I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't I just like let's go home, you know? So this man's trying to pull a fast one on me, trying to kiss me, trying to put on like this like Herny Licious playlist. And he comes in for a kiss, and I literally said, I told my mom I was gonna go get milk from the store. Do you wanna come with me? And he's just thrown off completely. I'm like, we should go to the store. Like, if you want to come with me, we can. he was like, No, like we should stay on the in the truck. And Taylor: Ew. P: I'm like, no, I don't think we should stay in the truck. Like, Taylor: You needed your pepper spray with you. P: I did need my pepper spray, Taylor: If you were gonna go in the ba if you were gonna take me into this restaurant that you're a chef for and cook for me, we would have had a ratatouille moment. But you didn't wanna do that. P: We shoulda we would've we could've shoulda woulda. Taylor: Shoulda gulda wulda. Okay, so this was like kind of recent. and this is probably within the last like six months I went on a date with this guy. And poor, poor guy. So first of all, on the apps as well with this guy, this is one of those moments where he had said he was like five nine, and I was like, All right, five nine, like I'm five, five, five, six, like you got a few inches on me, that's okay. You know, short kings, I won't I won't let I I won't, you know, deter away from them. So he pulls up, he p yeah, he pulls up in his in his car and he drove this kind of like sporty like Toyota little thing, I know. And he opens up the door and like gets out to greet me. He was shorter than me. He was literally like I probably had about this much on him, about like an inch, inch and a half maybe. And I was like, all right. And P: I think you texted me right away. Taylor: yeah, I was like, okay, he catfished me right away. And this is a very like muscular guy. He liked to work out and stuff like that. So like, you know, we're like driving or whatever, we get to this ice we go to this ice cream place and we sit down at the ice cream table, we have our ice cream, and just the entire time that him and I are sitting there with each other, now if you're not watching the audio or you're not watching the the video version of this, okay, he like kept just taking his arm and just like flexing his bicep a little bit. And I was like, Right? While like we're just you're just gonna nonchalant like you're gonna act all, you know, and just start doing that. And I like, Okay, that's great. he literally just kept like the whole time just like trying to pop his arm veins out and he'd do like this and he'd do like this. Like he just basically like messed like stretching his tricep and his bicep the whole time. And I had a I had the ick. I wanted to go home. All right, and I'm sitting there and I'm like, Okay, yeah, right and he just kept talking about like his work and like everything about him, like his working out and blah blah blah and like his self obsession or whatever and I like, I'm bored and he was like, Well, do you wanna go like, you know Do you wanna hang out at like each other's houses or something? Or like go to something else? And I was like, I wanna go. I was like, I can you just take me home? Can you just take me home? P: Actually would not let you do any of that. Taylor: I should have not even let my eyes see that. So let's go home. so we're we're driving home and he goes over now. Pennsylvania is known for potholes, okay? And we're driving home and he goes over this big ass fucking pothole. And about like I literally shook the car and I was like, my God. And he's like, I think it's okay. I think it's okay. And I was like, are you sure that sounded like really bad? And he's like, I think it's okay. Y'all were pulling into my apartment. And he goes, I don't think it was okay. My my low tire pressure sign is on now. And I said, that's terrible news. So we get out of the car. Okay, we get out of the car. And this poor guy goes to his driver's side of the seat and his tire was popped. His tire was popped. And he goes, I don't I don't know what I'm gonna do. And I was like, mmm, I was like, you got triple A? I was you gotta change a tire? And he's like, man, I think my mom has triple A. And I said, In my head, I'm like, You're 25. I'm like, You're gonna Your mom has triple A? He's like, Yeah, I think she can I think she can call for me or something. He's like, I'm gonna call my mom. Hold on. And I said, My god, I said, You're gonna call your mom? Mind you, again, twenty five years old, dude's tire pops. He's like, I'm calling my mommy. Immediate ick. Well, his mom didn't answer the first ring and he go like the first time and he goes, he looks at me and he goes, Well, I promise this wasn't planned, but do you care if I come up to your apartment until my mom calls back or we can figure something out? And I said, No, sorry, my place is just really dirty. No, no, that's okay. P: How did you actually say it though? Like I would like to know. Taylor: I literally was like, I was like, I'm sorry, my apartment's like really dirty. I was like, I I was like, I'm sorry, like I just probably wouldn't like that. P: Probably wouldn't like Taylor: I literally was like, I wouldn't like, I was like, it's just gonna make me anxious if like my apartment's dirty like you're in there. Like I kind of was literally just like, No, no. And then he's like, okay, well, I guess I'll just, you know, sit here until I can figure something out. And I was like, Okay. I was like, Well, do you need anything? Like, do you need like a water or anything like that? Or like P: She need a water? Taylor: I was like, Do you need like a water or anything like that? And then it and his mom called him back. And he so he like picked the phone up. And then like was talking to his mom, blah, blah, blah, blah, then he like puts her on pause. He's like, Hold on, mom. And he's like, You can honestly like go upstairs. Like, I don't wanna make like wait here. He's like, I'll just figure it out. And I said, Okay. And I and I and I walked back up to my apartment. and I left the poor guy down there. I Yeah. P: Queen, honestly, a fucking queen. You know what that might that made me actually thirsty. I need to drink some water before I sit my cup on that. Taylor: You know what? Speaking of speaking of yeah, speaking of tires being popped, we we're we're parched P: Alright you guys, I think for today's episode, I think it'd be fun to phone a friend and ask them this question. And I know who to call. Taylor: Yeah. okay. P: So I decided to phone a friend, you guys, today. And today we are phoning up Chris. If you wanna be a bitch that shits. If Taylor: A bitch that shits. P: you wanna be a bitch that shits. That king. That king. Blend beans. Taylor: Blend blend beans in a blender and make it beanut butter. P: Yep. Blend them up, please. So Chris, on today's episode, we are debating on whether or not dating apps are ruining today's society. What is your take on that? You know, I think they are a great option for people who want to meet people that they will probably never end up in a relationship with. Like if I have some time every now and then, my god. I've been on one date in the past seven months, and really I was just kind of bored, you know, and that's kind of who I expect is on those apps. I don't think that's where my man is. Like my man is not on a dating app. He's just Taylor: Mm. Hmm. P: out in the wild. He's probably eating beans, actually. He's probably in the bodega. Taylor: He's yeah, he's in the bodega P: My man is at the bodega. He's getting a double turkey provolone on white bread. He's probably blending beans right now. Taylor: Yep. Mm-hmm. He's getting a chop. He's getting a chop cheese. P: And he got he got that sandwich because he was so exhausted because he just carried home three cases of beans from Trader Joe's all the way across Taylor: From Costco. P: the fucking city to turn them into bean and butter. And you know what? I just know that's where my man is right now. Period. So do you think they're ruining society? Yes, I do actually. Period. Okay. Taylor: Yeah. Okay. P: They keep people away from beanut butter that is a good excuse. That is a good reason. Mm-hmm. Yep. Taylor: Yeah. you're right. You're right. P: All right, King. Well we thank you so much for your time today. It was so lovely having you on the pod. The dossies are so thankful for you. Give them a kiss, please. Taylor: yeah, those juicy lips. Those juicy lips. Mm. P: Those juicy lips. Taylor sent him a kiss for you. Okay. Love you. Thank you so much. Love you. Bye. Taylor: I love his take because like he kind of had like the like that's true. Like he and here's my thing, and I'm gonna say this, like I feel like like Kim is this way too. I feel like men who like date men, like they have like such a specific thing that they're looking for with their men. P: Yes. Taylor: And you know, and I feel like that's so true when he said that. Like he he needs someone who is also at Costco or Trader Joe's buying three cases of beans. P: That's why it's like everyone's different and I love that. Taylor: You know, yeah, I feel like cause Kim's that same way. Like Kim wants someone who's exactly like him, you know? And I'm like like Kim's man's probably not on a he's probably on Call of Duty. Yeah. P: Dude, so does Dusty. Taylor: Men want to date their self themselves, you know, like at the end of the day. P: That is very true. Taylor: They want them to look just like Kim will literally would date someone that looks just like him. And I'm like P: Dude, same. Same. Same. Well, dossies, let Taylor: Hm. Men. P: us know in the comments. Do you think dating apps are ruined today's society? You heard our take. You heard Chris, the bitch that does shit. And Taylor: Bitch is shit. P: with beans. Taylor: That fucking bean butter, I can't believe he fucking that fu my god. And you know what, Jackson? No. Literally I what did I do? I posted my ninja creamy yesterday and Jackson commented, he goes, Are there beans in that? Or he said, add some beans. And I said, It's actually all beans. P: No. nothing else, just beans. Taylor: Well, a big thank you to Chris, a baddie who shits, a bitch who shits, for giving us the little opinion on what dating apps are doing to society. I think it's a great little moment to like have like opinions for both, you know, to kind of see what like a man thinks of like a dating app. And I guess that kind of connects it of like it just made me like think just now that like that that's probably what a man is thinking on there that like mm, my woman's not on here. Yeah, they're I'm just going on here when I'm bored. P: Who's out on here? Literally puff. Taylor: Yeah, they're like, I'm just going on here when I'm bored, you know. but no, thank Yeah. Yeah.
