Kyle Glass: Warning. Pro Tri News is a podcast with different opinions, knowledge, and possibly fake news about triathlon racing. This podcast is for entertainment purposes only and some stories may be dramatized for comedic effect. Enjoy. Which is ⁓ yeah, you won't have seen Anne, especially English language on a lot of things, but because she's retired and chilled out now a little bit. Time now. She's time on her hands. She's just here sunbathing mostly by the looks of it. No I probably as you call my ⁓ relay ⁓ swim. On Sunday, so you're doing the swim. Yeah, of course my favourite discipline. I don't wanna be rude Ang, but if I had to pick any of the dis disciplines you would be doing based on your history, swimming? Yeah, I think that's ⁓ can improve the most, no? Improve the most, yeah, okay. I'm glad she's not doing it wrong because this could get embarrassing for a lot of other people out there, let's say that. So also today joining us, I was well Let's start with you may have noticed that I am the only crew trying to use regular host here. ⁓ and again, probably not as a massive surprise to you because the three Americans are fundamentally useless. ⁓ they're at home celebrating two hundred and fifty years of their pathetically young country. ⁓ but we've got Kyle Smith joining us. ⁓ I think everyone knows Kyle Smith. From another e pathetically younger country. Yeah, but you kept told us some culture, so it's fine. Carl's from New Zealand, if you don't know. And then someone that doesn't really need any introducing to the world of triathlon. Belinda Granger. Love Linda Granger. So obviously we're in Roth this week. We ⁓ we were gonna put out a segment on the show ⁓ with Roth on Sunday, and then we started getting little feelings that the startness might not be complete. So we had to delete a section of the show famously late. unbelievably for a German, by the way. Unbelievably late for a German. He's not a normal German boy though. Let's be honest. The only reason is I was Looking at bikes. That's the only reason when I'm lame. ⁓ And which bike were you looking at by chance? ⁓ the one of your ⁓ wife. That's a long term Scott athlete saying he was having a little gander at the canyon behind. ⁓ so of course, again, no need for introductions. Sebastian Keenley, everyone. ⁓ between I mean, how many times have we won Roth between the three of? Belinda, do you win Roth? How many times did you win? I raced it ten times and won it once, but I podiumed I don't know several times. ⁓ and Sebi, you yeah, my win rate is slightly better than Belinda's. ⁓ but ⁓ yeah, I'm also not not really won it enough times. ⁓ I think ⁓ two times second and one time I won it, yeah. And one did not finish. Yeah. And then honey? I raced four times and won it three times. ⁓ there we go. That's the biggest. Time raised three plants and one at four. Annie, as well, if you don't know, ⁓ broke the all-time iron distance, full distance record here by an absolute ridiculous margin. What was your time, Annie? Eight or two thirty-eight. Nose exactly, by the way. ⁓ which was at the time the most ridiculous run Triathlon's ever seen. And it still stands to this day. But you told me a great thing that before the race, when you broke that record. It wasn't really going well. No, not at all. I was so ⁓ seriously ⁓ sick before. So three months I was completely out of training because I had a really serious thyroid disease. So and I got told I may never come back to Triathlon again and yeah, so I did not have any high expectations. So I signed up very late because I thought I can do a long post distance and yeah, raised just no pressure and then I picked the perfect day. But when you first told me it, you were like genuinely angry. You're like, it's so annoying. I have so many good races where I feel perfect and the race goes terrible. And then this one, perfect. Yeah, that's a bit strange because normally you think to break a world record you need years of preparation and really focus for the one race that matters. And sometimes with a bit ease of mind it goes itself. So it's like, Yeah, ⁓ a long distance race is always unpredictable. Yeah, you have to take the chances on the day and go for it and you never know how the day unfolds. So Yeah, I was really, really lucky. I just got the absolute perfect day and in the perfect space and ⁓ yeah, back home, world record it was a a dream come true. The amount of times I am hearing these stories makes me think of a good business idea. I think at ministry we will start ⁓ selling viruses and that you can self infect your ⁓ your new by because I mean I had the ⁓ I I I at least have like two or three similar stories and ⁓ it's very true, right? I mean when you have this perfect ⁓ preparation, you have very high expectations, you put a lot of pressure on yourself. Sometimes it's such a relief when you are ⁓ have an excuse to not ⁓ to not ⁓ go into the race with ⁓ these super high expectations. I think you probably have to be quite careful about what viruses you're selling. Like it needs to be something that doesn't damage your reputation, for instance. Like I would be careful on that. Jeez. ⁓ but no no no. I mean ninety-nine percent of my years ⁓ are getting denied anyway. So ⁓ But so I don't know how many people in the audience are in Roth for the first time. Quite a few. And Kyle, this is your first time in Roth. Well like we were just discussing beforehand. I always say it feels like you come here and you feel like you've never been to a draft one before. Yeah, it's like it's nice to come to a race as a fan, especially this race as well. I mean, it doesn't almost feel like you're at a triathlon in the nicest way possible. Like it's massive. It's insane and it doesn't do it justice when everybody says you hear it time and time again, like Roth is sexual, Rob is something different. But you can kinda just feel like that and then you actually get here and you see how big it is and how much effort every brand puts in and the athletes like, and I've come here just to watch this race. I've never ever I don't think ever gone to a trip one just to watch it. ⁓ yeah, it's funny. I also think if you went to like, I don't know, a random Iron Man event in the middle of nowhere or a random challenge event, not China Bash, but a small event, if you were a pro athlete not on the starter, I think it would be a pretty underwhelming, kind of disappointing experience. But here you can have a full weekend of it, right? Yeah, and it's also like really hard when you go to a triumph one and you're not racing for whatever reason. ⁓ But yeah, you're not gonna be bored all week, ⁓ you you can get so much going on, so many events going on, so many activations, there's so much to do that y it's just a fun weekend of sport. Yeah. So like when let's move into the race we've got coming up, 'cause we are pro-Chinese. We're gonna talk the pro race. I think Belinda's probably best set to like put her on point and asked her, how did the star list change so late? Like not that I'm I can't swear, can I? Not that I'm bitter. ⁓ but how did the start has changed so late? Do you know, Felix and I start discussing I'm not joking, we start discussing this start list for the next year's race in about ⁓ August, September the year before. And then we sign up all the heavy hitters by December last year. And we often think that's it. And we were happy. You should be incredible, right? We you know, high fives all around and we were quite content with the field we had. But then Bloody Celix gets itchy feet. It's not me. I'm quite happy to sit back and, you know, work with what we've got. And then he gets itchy feet and it's always after bloody free foot. And you know, who can we get? Who did when last year with Jo with Jonas, obviously, with the mechanical. But this year we got lucky. They came to us. We didn't reach out to them. And so with Lucy Charles Barclay, I think, you know, it's a race that means a lot to her. She was here for the first time back in two thousand and eighteen where she's seconds. One one I'm I was actually ⁓ discussing it with with Kyle. It was one of the most incredible finishes I've ever seen in a women's race. Nine seconds separating Daniela. Her name was Semler back then, but now Blymel. And then of course she came back in the next year and won. And I think this place has a a very big spot in her heart. And so to have her back here seven years later, I think it's just the right time for her and where she is in her career to do a race for the sheer Lovel the sort. And I think you find a lot of athletes come back eventually to do it just of the sheer model. It's arms but you what at least it makes it exciting for us between her and Ken. And then of course, maybe Carl can probably stick to this but I'll tell you, like, we also then have Mike Mustlev on the Wednesday. I mean, you've got to say this guy on this course, this is his best race. You know, he's won it what, three times, he holds the course record, which he's broken up himself multiple times. Between you two guys though, but how does he impact the risks? I think Magnus one is an interesting one and I think like who knows what's happened, right? He's obviously had shingles earlier in the year. I've had shingles before. It's a pretty nasty neurological virus and the nervous system is overloaded. He then goes to altitude, which I think personally I wouldn't do 'cause that's another stress of the body, but Magnus is a another beast entirely. And then obviously he races last weekend and it doesn't go his way. And so like he must be really confident in how he's feeling right now. In his training, in his preparation to go, it wasn't me still struggling last week. It's actually just a blip on the radar and I know I'm confident in my fitness and my fall. And he impacts the race massively. I think mostly for Christian Liverfeld. I said the same, yeah. I think we talked about it this morning, so Yeah, I I I talked to I talked to him last week ⁓ before Ironman Frankfurt and ⁓ you know that he's ⁓ the Iceman, the fridge. When he tells you, Yeah, the numbers are good. They are where they used to be. Probably even better, you're like fucking sh I would like ⁓ really ⁓ start to worry if I'm ⁓ one of his ⁓ competitors because ⁓ that usually means something like an FDP ⁓ of four hundred and twenty ⁓ four, one and twenty eight, yeah, it's like that's genuine as well. And yeah, I I I a hundred percent agree. I think ⁓ he ⁓ he ⁓ he thought he's in very good shape. ⁓ he's not somebody that makes quick decisions or throws a coin to ⁓ if he if he's racing or not. Some other pet suit, he's definitely not. And yeah, absolutely. The I think the the guy with the biggest smile was Christian in the in the whole week. And the logic behind that of course is the boys out front. Well we'll go into the dynamic of that. ⁓ let's just do the course ⁓ And I think I don't know how as well with Magnus, I think what's quite interesting is obviously like going back to the the shingles being like a neurological sort of nervous system virus. Sometimes with what that happens is you can be training for God's sake. What are you trying to do there? ⁓ this is the crate of beer you promised us. ⁓ so we ⁓ we had the Lucy Charles news early and promised. you know, then we wouldn't break it. We'd let them do it. ⁓ and Felix promised me a great beer for doing so. Thank you, Felix. I like to keep my promises. ⁓ Thank you for coming by. As if he's not busy enough, by the way. You got a bottle opener on it. No, ⁓ yeah, I sorry, so yeah, the the mic is point. Yeah, so training can be going really well, you can be in really good numbers in trainee. And, you know, then you suddenly get to a race and It just doesn't happen on race day 'cause the whatever the new the nervous system just doesn't fire up. Yes. From with TV, that was actually pretty impressive. Yeah, that was that was quite good as well. They're cold as well, by the way. Unbelievable. You could have done it with your teeth, but you know, we'll say we'll play with them. Do you want to be there? ⁓ right. So McGill's the course. I agree with the Magnus point, like the the various ailments he had and the main one you made, I don't know where he went back to altitude. I think I will say I don't know why Laura went back to altitude as well. Like she was a bit sick after Roth. Personally, I wouldn't go straight back to altitude because you already have stress on your body. Why add another one? But again, they've both won crazy races, crazy records. They both broke iron distance records. They've both done great things. So maybe I shouldn't talk on it. And I what I want to get onto though is the course before we get onto the starters and things like that. And who'd ask the why is Roth fast? Because the bike course actually isn't that flat. It's a bit rolling. Like what makes it so fast? Yeah, I think because it's rolling, because you have always a bit of undulation, you can break up the rhythm a bit and then I think that makes it fast. And of course the hot spots because you can't hardly realize the hills because they are so packed with the trouts. The first time I raced I did not even realize that the Solara bag ⁓ bag was a hill because I did not see it. So at one point it's over and you got out and you said, ⁓ what happened? So ⁓ yeah, you get so much adrenaline spikes on the on the course and I think That's why why it's so fast. Yeah, that's the crowds around it. You it's you just fly around the course. And the the swim as well, right? Is there's no sighting. There's no need there's no group ⁓ boys to break the groups up. You're just straight line. Yeah, you follow the line, no? It's like in a big swimming pool and you see already the crowds then on the side shouting at you and it's just the whole you get so much good wipes ⁓ during your race and At every single point of the race, that's the thing, and I think that gives you a lot of energy, especially if it's like if you journal your whole crowd and yeah, that's just something extra you get from the outside. And actually, neither of you two made your race on the swim. When I swam there, like last year, that ends void just felt forever. 'Cause you don't do many swims when you swim in a straight line before the turnaround. I was just thinking and I I know a lot of you racing. It feels like forever until the turnaround boy, right? I think especially the last one because that's like a mental trap. I don't go past the finish. Yeah, you you you think like okay here's the bridge, that's basically the swim finish. You don't realise how far you go down. And ⁓ yeah, it's ⁓ yeah, it's a little bit of a mental trap to swim. And the run course? Like it's that like everyone just thinks it's the canal. Again though, the hill at thirty one K or whatever, that wasn't welcome at all. I mean mean I was walking, but like it was welcome, surely. Yeah, but I I think the hill is quite nice because it's the only part which is a bit in the shade and you pretty much know once you're up there, then the marathon is pretty much over because after that's just downhill and then you're in the village and everything feels a bit easier. So I always said, Okay, the marathon is over when I reach the lake up there. And yeah, of course the canal is a bit mind bubbling because you think you run so slow because nothing is ⁓ going about, you know, you think you run on a slot and you can always watch like so far and up. It's a bit hard, but then you know ⁓ once you leave the canal it's getting really tough because then the cold start and the climbing start, so yeah, it's a tough one. It's a really tough one. If you've been following triathlon, here's one thing you've certainly noticed. Sure seems like everyone is on a wove saddle lately. Hey, if you check out the bike of Lucy Charles, Magnus Ditlev, Trevor Foley, guess what? They're all riding a wove saddle. I'm riding a wolf saddle as well. You might not look up to me in the same way that you look up to them, but here's the deal. I've tested saddles, I've been riding bikes almost 25 years. I absolutely love this saddle. It's been a complete Game changer for me. And here's the deal. Wove now is gonna offer our listeners a 30 day money back guarantee. That's right, you heard it. You don't like this saddle after 28 days, send it back. But if it's you've have your experience anything like mine, you're gonna absolutely love it. Can't wait for you to try out. They've got three models right now, many more coming. Check ⁓ out. Let us know what you think. I think it's time we look at some of the big hitters in the race. Maybe we'll go with I know you've got notes, Belinda. I haven't even asked her to pray on notes, but she'll definitely have notes and know who's racing. So Belinda, do we start with the men? Do you want to take us through some of the big hitters? And then perhaps as we start, Kyle, you've swam with all these boys. You can talk about how the swim's gonna unfold a little bit and then we'll just discuss the men's race. So Belinda, big like the big hitters, but there's so many, like, let's to see how we get on. Well, obviously there's there's the the big hitters that include the swim bite specialists. Yes, yes. And we've spoken about the Germans and obviously we've got Rico Gogan and Jonas Schomburg and Sam Ledlow, our defending champion, who will be out of the water together. But one athlete that people aren't talking about, ⁓ who is definitely a dark horse is Menno Kulhass. Hundred percent. He does not have a weakness. He has been focusing one hundred percent on this race and this race alone. When other athletes have probably been doing, you know, s other races and have other obligations. So I think he is definitely a dark horse and he will get out of the water with these men. It's just a matter of whether he's able to stay with them on the bike because I I know that there's a little sneaky WhatsApp group going around between ⁓ Rico, Jonas and Sam. ⁓ and a bit of an unwritten handshake. that they are definitely going to be swim biking. you know, it's smart because they're not stupid. They know if they do not get a lead coming into T two, there is no way in hell they're going to be able to outrun the likes of of Christian Blumenthal. And then so outside those guys, you don't have Christian Blumenthal, other big hitters that spring smiling and to Christian Magnus Magnus Digleff, Christian Hoogenhau. Finn Grossofrez? Finn Ross Grossofrais, say look, again he's had a bit of an an ⁓ an up and down year. ⁓ He's had a great race here before in the past, so we know he and he's a very good athlete. It's just it's what Finn we get on Sunday that'll make the difference. So maybe Carl, who makes that swimming group? And does it is it one small group or one big group? How does that actually play out? Because Carl can make the front of any swimming group outside of Alzheimer's. I think I'd have outswam you there, mate. That was terrible. ⁓ but ⁓ normally Carl Smith is out the absolute front of every swimming group. ⁓ so you know who you'd expect to see in it. Yeah, especially within a non-wetsuit swim, obviously as well. That kind of obviously just brings the pure swimmers back into it a little bit more. ⁓ and everyone's on a bit of more of a l level playing field, I'd say. ⁓ yeah, like Sam Labow, obviously, but I don't know Sam is so smart and I don't think he would want to lead the swim. And so th I think the only issue that can get in the way of those front guys, the Sam, the Jonas, the ⁓ Mano, those guys is who is gonna take the lion's share of the work or if they're actually just gonna share it all. And I don't know if that's being discussed. ⁓ and so that's the only thing that could get in their way. But yeah, like there's gonna be just those guys you talked about. ⁓ and they're gonna wanna have the biggest gap possible. And the interesting thing too, I think here, because everybody knows that for some reason in Roth, sub reason in Roth, the ⁓ lead group just moves that much faster than the rest of the race. And I think for some reason in Roth. Correct. Which better not be happening on Sunday, by the way. Just to be correct. I've already put the order in no logos. We're talking motos here, by the way. And it was much better last year, I would say. And I feel like people like Christian know Christian Blumenfeld I should say, know that okay, this race is so impacted in that way. And I still can't get my head around why Christian can't come out with elite group. He's the Olympics champion. He's not a bad swimmer. And I think it's a conscious decision to not swim as hard as he can to save the energy for the back end of the marathon. Now I'm wondering if Christian can calculate that in his mind, going, if I swim a minute harder, use that much more energy in the swim to try and be as close to those guys as possible out of the swim, then that just being in that lead group and that dynamic and just being helped in that way is actually gonna impact the race more than saving the energy for the run. Because there's no way that Christian Bluenfeld, the Olympic champion, does not have the ability to swim with say someone like me and I in the New Zealand. The I'm in New Zealand swim, we let out, and it wasn't a hard swim, and he still came out about two minutes back. And for me, that's not an ability taking, that's a conscious decision to save Adam G. I never heard anyone say that. But like I guess w ⁓ one of you two, sorry. Like, you can't make the front group necessarily. And in the women's field in the last few years you were racing, it's impossible to make a very front B season Avian. But like the front group, you've done you've never made a conscious decision. Has it just always been all in on the swim and then hope for the best? Yeah, I mean you always swim hard in the first four hundred meters, so you always have to consider them all ways and it's so different to Olympic distance and I think if it would be easy to swim first tag, why would he not swim first pack? So I think he can't swim first pack because maybe the others are just technical better and can swim more efficient and maybe he would have fared the speed, but it would cost him so much more. So I think if you're a proper swimmer, you can swim faster with less energy loss and maybe for him it's it would cost him a lot of energy and that's it goes from fifteen to three point eight. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. I I like the the idea though. Like I've never heard anyone make the point that He has come out from pack swimming in WTCS races many, many times. But but not on a long course. ⁓ because then if it is really a tactical decision, then there would be races where he decides, okay, today it actually makes sense to swim from pack. And then the thing is also, yeah, I I I agree one hundred percent on some of the ⁓ of the points. But then my experience with training at altitude. ⁓ and they are trained a lot at altitude. It takes a lot out of your top end swimming. That's really important in my opinion. ⁓ and that's wherever I mean, whoever you talk to. ⁓ I can I I can remember talking with Alistair after I had like a really, really bad swim in his seventy point three world champs. He told me like that, he always struggled a lot with ⁓ you know his max swim speed in in altitude. And I think, yeah, maybe ⁓ he could But then he had had to prepare a little bit more specific. And especially in this case, if you don't see him ⁓ front pack swim on Sunday, I think it's not because he makes this decision. It's because he can. Because saving more energy would probably mean let them go at greeting at the hill when everybody is pushing four hundred and fifty watts, where you really ⁓ go into the red and burn a lot of carbs. That's where I would make conscious decision and not go with the front pack, but not in the swim. ⁓ the fun thing sorry, the fun thing about the graded comment is we'll have people in this audience that will push four hundred and fifty watts out. 'Cause I know that and I absolutely regret it. When you come around that grading, the thing is just ⁓ that's the last shit of ⁓ the the last reason why I'm still called an expert when I'm commentating with Belinda because ⁓ she's probably ⁓ more of an expert than I am now, but I'm collecting all the garments after the race. No, but I actually had I really had one of the garments ⁓ from one of the guys last year who roared in the front for a pretty long time. ⁓ Yon this is Jonas Schomberg. Right, come on. ⁓ no, I can't say I must say Jonas Jonas Schomberg had one hundred and fifty watts ⁓ normalized power at the top of feeding. So to took grading. Is then we're talking sixty K into the course? Jonas Schomberg, the reason that he was out front on his own, ⁓ Gapping Laidlow. Laidlow didn't know he was there. Laidlow thought he was winning the race was because Schoenberg pushed 450 watts normalized power. 15. Sorry, 415 normalized power through 60k on the bike. And he but the thing with Schoenberg, right? You watched him in short course races, you must have raised him in some smaller races. He lost it right there for you. ⁓ again, ⁓ it is the opposite of Christian, in my opinion. You know, Christian makes a conscious effort not to send energy and and Jonas. Jonas makes it conscious at ⁓ kilometer twenty eight on the merit on to not go with the front anymore. Yeah. I always think I always watch Christian's races. Did you ever do that thing when you're a kid and you light a match and then stick it back in the match box and the whole box flares up? I think that's what Chris ⁓ what Jonas does with his matches. Just fuck go. I said to him so many times, like Jonas is a good friend of mine and he'll do a race and I go, Why did you do that? No, I was feeling really good. We had a joke. It's like that ⁓ like that hot ⁓ sob, right? ⁓ but but that's the reason why we love him. And I I mean honestly, ⁓ I think ⁓ to a point, especially on Sunday, it will increase his chances a lot if they really ⁓ be able to to make this ⁓ front pack work. Because that's another another thing and ⁓ I just ⁓ commentated in Ironman Frankfurt and I was super surprised that the front swim pack at the with the man were so big because we had some really heavy h heavy hitters on the in the swim there as well and they weren't able to even get rid of ⁓ of of yeah ⁓ Well didn't left. Didn't left was only twenty seconds down up the side. Yeah. And I think ⁓ that was really I wanna touch on the WhatsApp group 'cause it's quite funny, but as like a bike runner. And I know what Cam would say as well. Have you ever been invited to a WhatsApp group for tactics? No, never. No, it's it's so you have to be a swimmer. It's sad, isn't it? Like, yeah. So this WhatsApp group, I w I'll I'll throw him under the bus. I'm understood the WhatsApp group started. It was introduced by ⁓ the common bike sponsor. The three Canyon boys. And it was quickly shut down when one of their coaches who is German interjected with his ideas. Reef Odin's coach. And ⁓ the WhatsApp group has since been no on board, I believe. They will tell us any stories. There's no story. Yeah, no, no. They've always they keep telling us stories. We've been burning this for years. Don't worry about it. So then on to the run. Do we think the men's race will run? Are we expecting a small group off the front, solo off the front? Will the race be one on the run? Like, who wants to take it? What are your thoughts? Belinda, go on. ⁓ it's you know, I don't I I'm not gonna have a decision until I see what that gap is in T two. Because let's be honest, ⁓ on paper and anywhere else you wanna put it, Christian is the fastest runner by a long way. Even if these boys, even if Jonas has the greatest day of his life. I just think he's such a supreme runner. And I know that his plan is to go ⁓ sub chun thirty. So we know that the record here is ⁓ last year was set by Matt Hansen at two twenty-eight. And I definitely think that Christian is capable of that and and probably more. And the interesting thing about ⁓ Christian, which is different to any other press conference I've ever heard, he did actually admit that because of the tactics and the strategy that he knows is gonna be played out here on Sunday, he did say that he was going to ignore his numbers to a degree. He were at the press conference. Remember, he said for the first time. That because he knew that there were gonna be boys up the road, that he wasn't going to use his numbers as much as possible and he was gonna actually take some chances, take some big risks. Which could affect his marathon, I don't know. Have you heard of this guy, three time world champion? Yeah, but this is ⁓ I don't know if you listen to the story, this this is pro try news. And what we like to do is we sleep on two people every race. One is Patrick Larr, but one is but one is Rudy von Berg, by the Just ⁓ that because I'm here as a guest, ⁓ I can wake you guys up a little bit. Yeah, fine. Yeah, yeah, good. Yes, I would still agree, ⁓ Christian is the strongest runner in the field, but not by a mile. I should think I shouldn't have forgotten. Belinda, that's on you. Like I don't know. I mean, ⁓ Patrick is constantly I mean now he's at the age where he's not getting angry about this anymore. He's just lapping. ⁓ because then he shows up at the race and ⁓ like, who's this guy? ⁓ yeah, ⁓ That's a free time world champion. actually ⁓ one of the fastest runner or the fastest runner in the whole field. If you had the average look, if you had the average time, the average run pace, he's the fastest runner in Iron Man history. He is by a mile. But the issue I have is that we are talking about I am talking right now about people that are going to take the we ⁓ could take the Wii. We saw in Lancerotti. Sam Laidlow had nine minutes off the bike. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Didn't run a particularly great marathon and still One by seven minutes. Yeah, wasn't it? I am inclined to respect. I think I think Patrick Lane is one the greatest long distance ⁓ athletes our tra what sport of trathlon has ever seen. But You say that in this race. If we were talking about Kona, would you write him off? Absolutely not, because he's one of the best athletes ever in the heat and humidity. Yeah, for sure. For sure. But even at this race I think Patrick ⁓ he is everyone who knows Patrick, he's an emotional guy in a way that he really thrives in big races. He really loves to turn up to the occasion and Roth obviously is one of them. And Conan's the other one. I don't know if he's ever ever performed maybe Texas, obviously he's done some really good races there. I think he just won Texas because it got silly hot. Yeah. Because he turned up there and his was it his first Iron Man? And he he just won it. Like and he's I had a lovely story of his home state. We are we're going out to podcasts and we can do little stories. ⁓ what we his home state is down the road from ours and they had this guy and they've been asked to like look after this kid. And he had a god awful bike and he'd sort of turned up and then they they didn't they were both doctors, they were working. And they had this random German guy they'd never heard of. And he came downstairs and they're like, ⁓ how was your race? was like, Yeah, it was good, yeah, yeah, they're good. And they're like, ⁓ who won? ⁓ I did, yeah, I did. And they had no idea. And he just turned up and won his first time on, which is like the most authentic Patrick you'd ever get. You get a camera Patrick and you get quite an authentic Patrick, I think. I think for this race it's maybe fair. This is too bite heavy, but polar, like you say, doesn't happen. And and honestly, let's let's be realistic here. I we we actually don't want him winning, and that's not being disrespectful to Patrick. He's been in the sport for twenty-four, twenty-six years. And the sport's ever evolving. I mean, you step away from the sport as a professional athlete for six months, it is very, very difficult to get back in. And that's what we want. We want our sport to continue to be raising the bar each and every year. And we've got athletes that I can name all the way back. Ann Howe sitting right here now is one of them that helped raise the bar. I'm not sure if you guys realize this. Last year, last time Anne was here, she ran a two thirty eight. Now I know most men could be happy with a two thirty eight. There's like ten men that will run that and that no, there's not ten men that run that sub on Sunday. No way. No. There'll be five or six. Mine but this is a question off the topic. You're so and the women, like you can throw Cat and Laura in this. You're so much closer to men on the run. Do you think it's 'cause boys race like children and they just get carried away. Because like if you look at it like you're so much further behind the women in general who swim on the bike, but on the run you're so much closer. Or is it just women are better at running? Like what is it? I mean I would say Juicy can swim with a boys, so there's ⁓ yeah, true. Yeah. We count her out. She's a fish. We ignore this. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's a bit be a bit smarter with our energy maybe doing race, I don't know, or Yeah, I don't know. Right, so we're gonna lose you, Anne. So what we'll do before we lose you is women's picks. And don't just don't sat here, you don't have to say it. I will never talk to you again if you don't women's picks. What are you going top three women on Sunday? I think Kat will win and Yeah, I think so. And Lucy second and Carolinipolo. Yeah, Caroline Paul on debut as well, which would have been incredible. She's strong. I think the race will really southern. She's smart, she's a good swimmer, good biker, and I she used to help me on the podium for me. Yeah, I completely agree. And she's German. She's on a new bike. Exactly. She has a and she's a good old round up. And thank you so much for joining us. Thanks for taking the time. This episode is brought to you by our friends over at Precision Fuel and Hydration. Now we're only a four rough title between us now. ⁓ a bunch of losers. ⁓ well it should race you. ⁓ Right. So we finished the men's. So we're on to the run. I think we all agree there's gonna be a roof off the front. Probably involving Rico Bowen, certainly Jonas Schomba, probably certainly Sam Late Low. Milo Kunas maybe hangs on for dear life. But he's a he's such an underrated I think, Mia. Look for the way he raced that Pona race with the front group, he just surfed it. Perfectly, he's smart, he's strong. So we have that breed and maybe someone else gets lucky and they hold on there to scalp sort of us. Then we have a chase. It's probably with Magnus here, I'm gonna throw out the chase is closer behind than they would like because there's now a bit more fire hour. The run battle, who wins? How does it play out? So I think you got four athletes. That we think are gonna come up in that elite group. And they're all four very similar athletes. They're very strong swimmers, very strong vipers, and very solid runners. I don't think I think three of them aren't gonna make it. And I don't know which ones are. I only have one of them in my top five on Pro Tribe News Podium hits where you can win an entry to Roth, but I've actually only got one of them. So I reckon they're gonna overbike so badly. But which one is the question. I think it's the lottery of like, you know I I don't know because I think they're gonna ride so solid and they're gonna get so excited and they're just gonna be feeding off each other on the bike. It's just gonna be a matter of like which one of those four ends up having a great day and they hold on. And I think one of those four probably could win. ⁓ well Savvy. So he's based you're ⁓ you're saying K B won't win because the gaps are not. He's gone it. I will I will narrow that down to two. ⁓ ⁓ KB, come up, KB. Come up. We so ⁓ if you're a regular watcher of the podcast, there's nothing more normal than a Norwegian joining halfway through the podcast. For some reason they always have a link to our show and they just tip up halfway through. And if you look right, we can just glance ⁓ Christian Blumenfeld, Carl Smith thinks you won't win, mate, just so you know. Anyway, carrying on. Yeah, I would I would say ⁓ narrow that down too. And ⁓ yeah, I mean I I can see ⁓ Rico on on debut ⁓ mastering the the puzzle. I think he ⁓ will have a lot of fun with him on the on the broadcast and ⁓ he'll play a major role. He's not gonna gonna win though. And ⁓ he 'cause of his bike in San Francisco, he raised him in San Francisco. What his bike there is ridiculous. It's a pro that's the problem when you have such a big engine, you know? I mean, he can he can really push the big the big numbers. The problem there is the big engine burns a lot of fuel and at one point it's gonna be very, very difficult ⁓ to watch the the end. ⁓ and that's that's literal maths, right? That's basic maths. Yes, a lot of power equals a lot of calories burned. Yeah. And it makes it math very hard, right? Yeah. It's not a it's not a problem. from power or mental strength, or it's just a problem of of energy and maybe core temperature at one point, but ⁓ maybe also a little bit of muscle fatigue, but those three ⁓ are linked closely. So Sam goes for the guy that puts ⁓ lighter back in the in the box. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ we've actually got him. Come on up. So we've had Anne Haug, Sebastian Keely, and the one and only Christian Bloomfold. Just to be clear, Christian, I didn't arrive with a box of beer. That was delivered. And it's still empty. It's not as well as you. Yeah, okay. Do you want one? I'm surprised you haven't ⁓ finished them. How are we? Just before we arrived, Kyle genuinely predicted, and I'm gonna throw him under the bus here, that the gap would be so big that you wouldn't be able to run up to them. Rude, right? Yeah. But he actually takes you by six minutes in New Zealand and you had you you even took an air bar off and everything. You know the reason why I took it off? What is the hilly? And ⁓ yeah. So Pebby, he actually came up with a really good point earlier, which we debated for a minute. Kyle points out you're the Olympic champion. You've made some front pack swimmer groups in WTCS and we debated it. Do you consciously let the gap go in the swim to save energy 'cause you're you are quite a smart ⁓ unlike everything else in life, like race selection, you're just like, fuck it, I'll go race this and this and this. But in the races you're quite shrewd. Do you let it go or can you not hold the front group? ⁓ maybe a combination. ⁓ That's not an answer. I w I wouldn't say that I'm just naturally letting them go. Like in in your seal I was ⁓ just swimming. Yeah, but I I saw you before you see it and you were talking to me. Then it would have been easier to have like it would have been a better petition on the bike to be out of the water together with Kyle. but yeah, like ⁓ I th I think Kiff, I know that it's very, very crucial, like in short distance, and I would also work a little bit more with the speed in the water. ⁓ but I guess weighing it up, you know, compared to the training. So it's a training ballot. We talked about it. Sadly suggested that. It's a training balance but how much you invest versus the reward. It's it's freaky to be like in peat shape in swim bike and run. So like if I know there's more truthful for me to be spending more time on the bikes then I would rather sacrifice a little bit in the water. And actually Sebi's point was do you find it hard to maintain really good swim speed at altitude? 'Cause you spend so much time on altitude, you lose do you lose a bit of that top swim speed? I think also with if I do a lot of hours and training, then I'm like just getting slower. So if I'm really spending a lot of time on the legs, even like ⁓ biking and running, then I think that fatigue can go more into the pool while I can still ⁓ do a great track session with a lot of fatigue, even though it's like fatigue in the legs. But ⁓ on the swim I'm just sort of the technique is ⁓ falling apart. And also I think I'm getting stiffer like somehow just by providing a lot in the air position. is almost like bigger pedal th in the water. Well, like mobility is more important. Can I just say too, like I obviously have so much respect for you. I was only joking, by the way. Like the amount of balls that takes in training just to go a conscious decision to go, I know I'm gonna go to this race, not a hundred percent swim fit. So the race isn't gonna be in my control until right at the end. It's like you're playing the ultimate game of chance. And I I like Obviously I'm in the race and I've been in New Zealand and I'm in the group and the I'm swimming in the group and then I'm surprised when I come out of the water and I hear the gap 'cause I'm like Christian is an amazing athlete, an amazing swimmer and the swim didn't feel that hard in the race. And obviously like that's why I was like he's this is a conscious decision for him. He knows his energy so well and obviously that is through training as well. I was there not for that then, because ⁓ there I actually thought this would be hard even though I was losing two minutes or so. ⁓ and then it's more like the section when I see the gap has opened up. Like it's tricky to catch a groove if you're like twenty meters or thirty meters. Because ⁓ if I would have been in that front patch to start off with, like then I would have been there like already after five hundred. So if the gap is opening up, then ⁓ it's more like to not stress about it and then just think, okay, it's ⁓ probably gonna be not intensity I was hoping for on the swim, but Yeah, like two minutes gap could still be ⁓ sorted out. Like if I know that I have strongest cyclists, as example, behind me, then that can be ⁓ something that's on my mind as well. And here, if ⁓ Magnus Titler as an example is behind me, then ⁓ I know that's ⁓ I just need to sort of be ready when he's fine by. Savvy you said this and we we all said this. I think the person most glad that Magnus is racing, potentially if he 'Cause if he rides like you did in front of her, you've got him covered anyway. Yeah. But if he rides like he can ride, he he's a he's a tool for you, right? Yeah. And ⁓ especially with the especially the tree guys, as you guys mentioned earlier, with you and us, Ico and ⁓ Sam up front. ⁓ I think they are eager to showcase some ⁓ bike strength as ⁓ And a new bike. They're keen to show off the new bike as well, right? I think they will probably be very, very motivated. So the question mark is here. I just hope that Jonas is having too big of an ego, he just flying off. And you have Sam trying to catch him and then Rico like a little bit nervous about the first full distance. And then you have certainly like they're not working together. ⁓ Sabi did a great he he described Jonas as a kid that touches a stove and just keeps touching it. I just go off the front. I and it never works, but he keeps going. It can't be warm now, is it? It was ⁓ Okay, so on to the run. ⁓ We had one there as well before you arrived. ⁓ you were described by Valender as by far the best runner in the field. And seven pointed out Patrick Langers here. An Uber runner. Do you have him covered even if you come off the bike with him? I thought so, back in twenty twenty four. How are you? He was like stopping forty seconds or so behind me in T two and ⁓ he's the one who's kicking me and then asking me about how many guys at the front. And now I'm there like breathing heavily and ⁓ just about the survival and he's already thinking about catching people. Like it's it's technical of him to ask me this question because I'm cooked. So I think ⁓ public he's a guy who can always do like on a fast horse two thirty. ⁓ maybe my strength compared to him is that I can sometimes have a stronger bike ride before that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we won't do podium picks ⁓ yet 'cause you're here. It feels it it feels a bit rude. Is there any can I ask about Casper? Did you talk to him? Because we almost had Casper here. But he is it 'cause you're too strong? So we've seen videos of you dominating him in training. it's a did you attack you. I had a little chuckle. Can I say that story? It's a very So this story was ⁓ you know how Sam Laidlow played mind games with Sam Long back in the day? And he broke Samlong. Samlong slammed the door, stormed out. I think it's fair to say Sam Lado tried the same mind games with Christian Blumenfeld, which in my opinion is an error. And ⁓ lay ⁓ Casper won Frankfurt, ran away with it easy. And K V, what did you do to it? ⁓ I just texted it because he texted me like a week before. I don't know where he got my number from. But ⁓ somehow he figured out. So ⁓ I just ⁓ asked him, I think it was Monday, like ⁓ hey, did you watch the race yesterday? And then I sent him a video ⁓ from a training session the week before where I was like leaving up front. You can see there's like a clear gap down to Gustav and it's a clear gap down to no Sukasford, not to Gustav. Sort of as the order could have been in Frankfurt. And I've just told this is how the training has been lately. It's so brutal. But you know, I then he's just replying like this is Something just an integer guy would send. No. I I think there's the there's the thing is don't give it if you can't take it. You know, maybe. The best swords in the world. I think I bring bring on the bank. I love pre raise standard and I think the sword's all the better for it. So it was fun. Good fun. But ⁓ I mean Taby's always a nice guest, isn't he? Don't go far along. Sally, what are you gonna say, mate? I was just about to say, thanks for coming up. You're relief now. No, no, I know how it is, like today. Everyone, Christian, blind and fell. Thank you, mate. What a guy as well. I mean, to just ⁓ come on the podcast when he's obviously busy and he's got lots of stuff to do to just it's so chill. It's just got really tight up here because ⁓ he's a he's a big boss, you know. I mean that's some I mean now that's my that's my podium takedown. So we do the man and we'll go on to the women. I mean after that, I'm going Christian Blumenfelt for the win. I'm going to take Jonas Schomberg for seconds. And Sam Laidley for third. I'll do ⁓ Christian ⁓ first. I'll also do ⁓ Sam ⁓ second and Menor third. I love Menno third, by the way. He's so slapped on. Yeah, I think I've gotta I've gotta die on my hill now, don't I? I have to die on my hill. So ⁓ I think Sam will hold on from that league. Good for yeah, yeah. ⁓ and I think Christian will be charging up the bat and he'll get second. ⁓ and I think Christian Hogenhaupt will be third. Yeah, I like as a lot. Yeah. And is there a nicer bloke in the sport, by the way? You guys know him well. There's no nicer man in this sport than Christian Hobenhald. And he's put so much effort into this race. He sort of he targeted this. He said this is the race that I want to perform, man. He raced two weeks ago in Ellsville and he had a great race. And he was s so strong on the bike. He's done how many three, five wind tunnel tests or something. Four wind tunnel tests, eighty five different positions. I gotta give it to him by the way. He went short before everyone did. Everyone was long. Everyone was Sam Lado Seedman and Hogan Howe went like Renco event hole short. Yeah. Ignored the trend and he was right. Yeah, I mean, ⁓ he ⁓ he I mean he is a a s a student of the sport. ⁓ and and ⁓ the the interesting thing also ⁓ I think it ⁓ just like ⁓ You need some help. That the Germans show you how to open but I I'm I'm actually surprised. I thought Well, I was it was an awkward angle. You you opened the can I tell you everywhere in the world. What what people does years usually. Well haha. No cat pays for the bears. It's different. It's different. Again, he's done it first, go, Sebastian Kit. And and I think ⁓ it's it's also quite cool to have somebody ⁓ that you know, made his rank ranks ⁓ made made his way up from the from the ranks as a amateur athlete, ⁓ becoming a professional athlete just like like Lucy did. So yeah, it's a great pick for third place. ⁓ I would also And the the one that's worse to do pick is Belinda. 'Cause Belinda's always that I love the mold I'm self school. I was almost not gonna let Belinda sit next to Carl 'cause she's dangerous around a good looking young man. So it's it's dangerous to let Belinda have picks, you know. No, it's because I am the mother hen of all professional triathletes and I love each and every one of them. And it's it's hard for me to take the emotional side out of it. ⁓ Sam Laidlow, of course, I I think is an absolute sweetheart and I would love to I always say it's always good when a defending chant comes back and can nail it again. And so emotionally I'm invested with Sam. I would like him to take the win. I would love for it to be a really close race so that we have Christian Christian absolutely charging and we have mere seconds as they come into the stadium. So Christian in second and then ⁓ well it's hard for me. You know, I I would love to see Jonas only because he just if he could just hold back a touch and not go crazy, then I think that he's ⁓ he's definitely one of the fittest on the start line. So maybe Jonas in third just because he's German and he will get a lot of support out there. I completely agree. I think I actually think the fact there are if they if he doesn't attack T two like he did last year, having other people riding really well with him, maybe he's saving rates. Maybe for once he's like, I don't need to do it so low. Can ministry make a shock colour for him? So if he goes over four hundred watts. So on to women. I've realized I totally my fault. I'm not used to hosting this. We should have got women first with Anne here. Of course we should. I just I forgot, so I apologize, Anne, but I'm glad she came on anyway. We have the women's race and we had Lucy Charles sign on last on Sunday. Now Lucy and Reese are very thoughtful and if she wasn't I don't think Lucy's ever entered a race, she didn't think she could win. I don't think that's that's something they don't do, but she said it actually recently on a ⁓ kind of an influencer English podcast, like there's more to gain from other women beating her than there is from her to risk losing. And that's totally fair. You're at Lucy's Lucy's in the there's only maybe T B that's in that stratospheric level of like triathlon fame where you put yourself up to be beaten. ⁓ and Lucy's one of them. ⁓ so she's not here unless she can win. And then you obviously have Pat Matthews, my wife, my wife. And ⁓ you have Actually, Mark, ⁓ my eyesight's not that great, but I do believe I can see. Said wife in the crowd. Well, she's cut her ride short. Get out riding. What are you playing at? There she is. ⁓ she's here. ⁓ hello. In cycling out, babe, you're at a table. Hold on. Come on. ⁓ here. She's back there at the the table. She's counting my beers. Sebbie's right, by the way. I'm in trouble after this. ⁓ and then you have some real like dangerous. ⁓ there's a big A tier of women, but there aren't for the men. There's like the there's the big four or five. And there's a gap to them, but then there are some real dangerous ones. And there's a newbie coming across. And that's Caroline Hole, who went on the three way, three race winning streak in four weeks. She's all round as well. She's great so much. She's a good biker. She's a good runner. I was there for two of those races and and spent a lot of time with her. And the biggest change or shift I've seen with Caro is just in her attitude on and off the race course. There's this, I always say that most dangerous athlete is an athlete. That's got that inner confidence. And you can just see it in the way that they present themselves to mediate when you're talking to them. And it's not arrogance, it's not ego. It's just this inner sense of control and content. Contentment. And she has that. She has a new coach. And I think it's been working really, really well. She changed to Ben Raisal in January. And she doesn't have a weakness. So yes, her only weakness coming into this race is the fact that she's never done this distance before. So That is the only thing against her. But the only great thing about that, when you're lining up for your first full distance, you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. So I think that's a very dangerous position ⁓ for the other women. But also athletes like Daisy Davies, which I think is she's the most interesting one just because she's done two and she's won two. And the way she's won them, as soon as that gun's gone off, she's got to the front and no one has even come close to ⁓ competing with her. So we know that's not going to be the case here. So I'll be very interested to see how she can handle that, because she will have a lot of women around her. And then as well, the people will influence the race. And there's just one more in my eyes that really will influence is Silana Sitter, who will, dare I say, overbike her way through the race. She's a better rough. Yeah, yeah. She'll with her one seven five cranks on and her saddle twenty centimeters too high. She will grind her way. Classic fucking setup. Yeah, but Sassy because Belinda's here. ⁓ but it is a classic Sassy setup. And she really grinds her way around this race. But she will be there at the front and could be useful for the women. So of course we're going to expect Lucy out front solo. Like this is the trap, and that's what happens. Then maybe two or three minutes, well, three minutes to Caroline Paul. Maybe Alana Sifer with Penella Langridge in there. Daisy Davies, who could be Daisy Davies actually be a little in front. We think I think Sunella and Daisy will get out together. Whether Caro can sit on their seats is to be decided. ⁓ I I I Daisy's a very, very strong swimmer, and so is Janela. So they could possibly be out together. Alanis may be on their seat. Caro that was probably the only thing I saw with Caro at the championship. She wasn't quite able to make that front pack with the likes of Leah Meissner. She was just dangling off the back in no man's land. So it'll be interesting to see how that plays out on Sunday. But both Daisy Davies and Fanella are both really, very well. And so they could come out of the water together, but all behind loosen. I think sometimes with the women too, we look in the men li ⁓ at the past like we look at the men. Like this athlete didn't have a good race six weeks ago, therefore but honestly we know with the women, with their cycle and everything like that, it can change so much. And so like an athlete that didn't perform two months ago. might be so good this weekend if you look at someone like Alana Sifa pretty up and down but that could just be something like, you know, where she is in her cycle on race day. And that's why some at some of the female athletes come into a race like this and just blow everyone out of the water. And this is what we hope to see obviously on the race day. I'm just like for me as a guy, I just cannot comprehend that n that factor going into a race. It must be so hard. Yeah, there we go. We got the applause for her. Well, we basically we talk too much with too many guests and we're gonna run out of time. But and I feel bad because we should have got Woodland first, obviously. We we all should always do Woodland first. I think that the way the race will unfold, and just correct me if I'm wrong, Lucy will go solo, she'll ride hard. There'll be Caroline Paul, Daisy Davis and that riding really well, and there'll be a chase through probably lead and drop by Pat. And it's whether the gap closes stays the same on paper, it should probably go out. Lucy will go out. What does Lucy need from Kat in this race to be safe on the run? Ooh. ⁓ More than six minutes. I think the when ⁓ because the the thing is if she has let's say if she has four minutes, then I would just said she'd probably overbike. ⁓ and if she has more than ⁓ let's say seven minutes, I would say ⁓ Kat was like really holding back on the bike and she will absolutely blow the run out of the park. So I Don't see any real ⁓ gap here that ⁓ makes a win the race ⁓ for me but cat first, no matter the really the the the distance between between those other I mean other than mechanical problems or something like that. Wow. I'll tell you that by the way. Yeah. Yeah, look the way cat ran two weeks ago at Denmark. was just incredible. I don't know if any people know. Didn't she run quicker than Martin Van Riel who won the race over the first 2K? Like Yeah, she ran four seconds slower than Van Riel for his the first six K. So that and and obviously talking to Kat going into that race, she said, I'm so tired. I'm in my IMM block. This is the last section of my IMM block after she goes and does a run like that. And so like She's obviously got the form and then you can look into Elsinore and say two weeks ago, you know, she didn't ride as well as what we usually expect. But like I know obviously the backstory about that. She was training on the new bike which she'll race on this weekend. Yeah, that no one realizes that. She's had the new bike for seven weeks and she rode the n the old bike the day before. And then on the race day, Carl, you won't have seen it. She saw me and she said, I fucking hate this bike. Talking about the old bike halfway round. And it's because it fits her and you want basin. Well, it's just also because like As athletes you train so much and with cats and riding every day for six, seven weeks on a new bike. You get so used to that position and one mill out here, one mill out here, whatever it ends up being, just means your muscles fire completely different and you get into the race, it feels awkward, it feels horrible. The saddle might be a little bit out knowing your bike mechanic skills, Mart. I ⁓ who parked your bike after that race? Yeah, I don't want to ride it again. I'm gonna Can I draw a spanner into the works? Yeah, go on. So obviously in my vast research for this race on Sunday, I obviously we know it's gonna be Kat and Lucy. And then of course, whatever happens behind happens. But in the last five races that Cat and Lucy have raced against each other, DNFs, one of them only one of them has finished. So we've got twenty twenty three Kona, Kat DNF due to a crash, that she had you know problems that have crashed beforehand. Twenty twenty four, Miami T one hundred, Kat tore her a calf, so Lucy obviously got the win there. Twenty twenty four London T one hundred, Lucy had issues on the run and didn't finish. And then twenty twenty-five Kona, Lucy DF with hug in the trim yeah. And then twenty twenty five seventy point three worlds in Mar Baya, torn calf again for Kat. So I am really hoping, first and foremost, that we break break this bloody trend and we actually had the both of them finished. So that's where I'm boom thumbs out on top. I don't care as long as them both finish. ⁓ before we make our picks, I will just give due respect. Lucy's the outright fate race favorite. She's a multiple world time champion. She wins in every scenario when she puts her mind to it. And she doesn't really turn up to many small races. And I'm not trying to put pressure on Lucy because she definitely doesn't listen to this, by the way. So Taylor listens, so I put pressure on Taylor doing this. Lucy ain't listening to this. ⁓ so like let's give her credit, but we're gonna have to end the show. So let's do our three picks. Top three women. ⁓ Carl, you can go first, mate. I think cat is in a amazing form right now. So I think cat first, Lucy second, and I think Daisy Davis, I think, will pack the race more than we think. And I think Daisy will be on the podium. Yeah, same year, same thing. Exact same. Daisy's good, isn't she? She's really slept on. If you don't know Daisy Davis, go on to her Instagram while you're sat here. Follow her. 'Cause she's up and coming looking for supporters and it will help her out. She's an absolute gun. But in that. ⁓ I can't go to same. That's boring. ⁓ definitely Kat. Then Lucy and then I'll go coward pole poly because I think a German will be on the podium. This is gonna be a classic pro try and use, we all got it wrong. 'Cause I'm gonna obviously choose Kat for the win 'cause she is a really good form. I'll go loser second and I think Daisy Jac is third as well. But we always do this and if you sleep on someone like we sleep we used to sleep on Daniela Life, don't do that. Don't ever do And don't sleep on Lucy Charles. So I'm sure we'll be proved horribly wrong. But we have run out of time. We've got Christian Blumenfeltz next with Surpass. Probably an advert nonsense. I'd run away if was you. ⁓ have a lovely day. Put your hand up if you're racing. Now we've got a huge crowd. Good luck to all of you here. We really appreciate your support. I'll we'll hang around after this for a bit. And thank you so much for turning out. This has been Protron News in Rough.
