Brandon: All right, everybody. Welcome back. And this is episode, believe, four. Yeah. Yeah. Episode four now. ⁓ Happy Easter to everybody. And also do want to apologize upfront for the lack thereof content in the last week. Life has kind of gotten a little busy for the both of us having two kids and full time jobs and trying to balance all that. But we are back in the swing of things. And in today's episode, we are going to talk about a recent shoot that Jacob just did and I think it was back at Brushy. Yep. And another shoot that we're going to try to go shoot. It's actually 15 minutes up the road from us and we're both going to try to use it as an ASA qualifying event. So Jacob actually just recently shot Brushy for the second time. I was not able to go, so he's gonna, he's got the floor. All right guys. Yep. So I went back and shot Brushy. It was a really good shoot, like always. The course was set up a little bit different this time. Actually, it was about set up the same, but we just shot it backwards. didn't know that that's how it was gonna be set up. There was a couple new targets in places that we didn't shoot, but for the most part, the path was the same way. ⁓ Started out not being super aggressive. I changed a couple things on my bow. and it was the first time out shooting it since I made some changes. So, wasn't being super aggressive in the beginning, just trying to figure out how forgiving the bow was gonna be and how I was gonna shoot. ⁓ Unfortunately, the ones to get were on the front end of the range. So, I give some points away, not being super aggressive at some that I should have been. ⁓ So that kind of hurt me on the backside. As you come around Brushy, we went on the top of the hill first, on the left hand side of the drive, and those were pretty flat. ⁓ I didn't know where we were going. I thought we were going up in the field. They've got a little field area. So I thought we were going up in there to shoot. And I thought if you get up on top of the mountain, go through the field and go that way, it's pretty flat about all the way around. Some good shooting up through there. ⁓ But of course ⁓ I planned for it and it didn't happen. We got right to the field edge and turned down the hill and we start down the hill that's when you get a lot of ups and downs shooting in the gullies and down across them. So that kind of hurt me there at the end. I ended up all the way until target 17 I was even. I had shot three 12s and three 8s. ⁓ So I was even up to target 17. Then when I got to 18, it was a, I believe it was a black panther at max. And you were shooting known 50 here. Yeah, shooting on 50. So it was a black panther. I believe it was a black panther. For sure. It was a panther at like 50 yards. No, I'm sorry. That's not right. That was 17. That was 17. I stayed a 10 on that one. What got me was the hyena. That was target 18. So the hyena was downhill and that was target 18. And what happened was because it was downhill, my back bar, I had repositioned my back bar trying to move some stuff around and my back bar came more straight. off the back instead of being tilted down like it was previously. Well, if I've made any downhill inclination in my shot, I was hitting my hip with my stabilizer. And ⁓ it was like that a little bit before, but I didn't notice it as bad. think maybe because it was kind of more further down, so it's more towards my leg. This was like directly at my, right above my hip. ⁓ So. Shooting at that angle, I kept catching my stabilizer. ⁓ I think on all three targets, I drew back and let down twice. And then on the third one, know, ASA rules, you have to shoot your third shot. Right. And you can't let down after two let downs. So I was literally having to make my release go off. ⁓ I shot... ⁓ all three of them out to the right. And I think it was because it was bouncing off my hip. I could feel it barely touching. I was trying to get my hip out of the way, ⁓ but having to force that hinge to go off, I shot all three out to the right. And the hyena was facing to the left. And on that hyena, if you shoot out to the right at all, ⁓ you've got about no more than three inches beside the lower 12 and you're in a five. ⁓ So shot a five on the hyena and then the next two targets was a javelina at, I think it was probably, I think it was probably 43 ish yards. Yeah. ⁓ wasn't too far, but on that same elevation, they're all right there by the practice bell. So I was shooting downhill and, same thing, just, ⁓ shot out to the right that time I actually shot just below the ear it was facing to the right and my buddy Tim Roberts I was shooting with him and he said you just shot that thing in the ear and I thought he was kidding he was not kidding so I shot pretty pretty far off on that one still managed to catch an eight so I wasn't really quite in the ear but I think it was a little deceiving the way my veins kicked up. And then go to the next target. It was a mule deer facing to the left. I ended up shooting a 14 on it. So I shot a little bit high and right that time. So counts for an eight. Unfortunately, I'd like to have that 14, but counted for an eight. So that put me, uh, let's see that put me, I think I finished to 88. No, had to be. So it was an 87, I believe. 13 down? Yeah, 13 down. it was tough to go from even, you know, in the last three targets. All the way up to 17. Yeah, that's tough. So that hurt my feelings a little bit. Came home and checked the boat to make sure nothing crazy had happened. Shot it all the way up to 60 yards and it was it was good on flat ground, but that catch me on the hip learned a big lesson there. So I got to figure out how to really practice that. That's gonna be something hard for me to figure out how to do is how to practice. I noticed it with Mon too at Brushy the first time we went. A lot of the uphill shots. ⁓ yeah. It catching me in the hip. The downhill ones not so much, but it was those uphill shots for me that was that would really catch me. And I kind of had to find myself fighting it. So it was ⁓ definitely a challenge. Got to figure out how I'm going to practice, get that simulation of shooting downhill. Figure out if I need to reposition a back bar. I don't know. I've never really had it bother me that much. ⁓ Maybe just reposition, drop the bar back down like it was. ⁓ You know, just in an era right now of really trial and error. ⁓ Trying to figure out how I want my set up since we're going to be shooting a lot more. Trying to get away from the current bars that I have, the atomics. ⁓ The company's not even in business anymore. Right. So I want to get something a little bit newer. Hadn't made up my mind yet. Yeah. ⁓ So yeah, was pretty much summed up brush. It was a great shoot. ⁓ Had a good time shooting my buddy Tim Roberts. His daughter ⁓ came and shot with us and then shot with another guy named Joe that was Tim's buddy. So that was fun. Getting to see Anniston shoot. ⁓ My sister was shooting when Anniston was just a little bitty baby. And now Anniston is like the age when my sister was shooting. Really? And so ⁓ it's funny just seeing how much she's grown up. I hadn't seen them in years. Yeah. So that was... shooting? She shot good. Yeah. Yeah, especially when she really would aim at them. I mean, she hit several 12s there at the end. ⁓ So yeah, was exciting. I could tell that ⁓ she was nervous there in the beginning. You know, I don't think she had shot most. And Tim had ordered her a new bow the week before and that didn't get there. They thought it was going to get there. ⁓ So she was ready to shoot the She was ready to shoot the new bro. think I heard it about on every Target. I wish I would shoot my new bro. Yeah. You know. It's always exciting though to see the youth. Oh, for sure, man. Get excited for stuff like that, you know. So it's funny, like I said, seeing his daughter shoot at the age that my sister was. Now my sister's off in college. Yeah. And, you know, Tim was asking about her and, you know, it's crazy. Full circle. It is crazy how it does come full circle like that. Yeah. But yeah, that's pretty much it. I've changed a couple of things on my bow. ⁓ Some things I really liked. Did some different tuning techniques. I tiller tuned the bow, ⁓ which really helped the way it was aiming. I was having a lot of trouble getting ⁓ dips in the bow. So I tiller tuned it and ⁓ That's where you take some of the rotation out of either the bottom or the top limb and it makes the bow pull different. Yeah. Changed my knocking point so I had to readjust for that but ⁓ overall I really did notice a big difference. Better or worse? ⁓ much better. Yeah much better. I was having a hard time with the 70 pound limbs that I put on. I forgot you did that. Yeah so I put the 70 pound limbs on the bow and I was having a hard time. dipping so I would get on the on wherever I wanted to hit whether it be a spot or a 12 ring and it was like a bouncy ball effect. The bow would start dipping and I couldn't get it to slow down, couldn't correct it, it would just start moving. Did a lot of talking to a lot of friends and ⁓ trying to figure out a good path forward because I was getting pretty aggravated. That's what made me start moving my bars around. I'm trying to get that, that motion out of it and it did not matter what it was. And the 60 pound limbs never did that. Change draw link three times. Mess with all kinds of different stuff. You know, made the top cam hit a little bit sooner. Just everything I could think of to get some of that dipping out. And I never could until I tiller tuned it. So. That was interesting, kind of the old school way of doing things. I don't think many people do that much anymore, but it helped me out a lot. Yeah. So that was interesting. And now I'm holding much better. That's good. Yeah. I mean, I come out of brushy a little disappointed because of those last three targets, but honestly, when I seen some of the scores, I think the highest score that was shot from that stake was four up. Oh, wow. Yeah. So It wasn't a light shoot. It was a pretty tough shoot. ⁓ And seeing that, knowing that I was three targets out ⁓ at even, made me feel pretty good. I mean, obviously your score is your score. You get what you get. You know, I earned every one of those bad shots. The famous words of my three year old daughter. ⁓ yeah? Yeah. You get what you get and don't catch a fit. Yeah. Yeah. She started saying that man. And it's like, Where'd you even learn that? That's funny. Yeah. So, I mean, like I said, I earned them. ⁓ But when I come home and check to make sure the bow was still on, it made me feel better ⁓ to know that I hit around the 12s all day long. Yeah. You know, the eights that I shot were just low eights. They weren't bad eights. ⁓ And I was all around the 12s all day. Just couldn't catch them. Yeah. You know, ⁓ so that made me feel better. ⁓ yeah, it was good. I think I need to get behind the bow soon. Yeah. It's been a minute. It's been a minute. I haven't shot since Brushy. Yeah. It's since my first time going to Brushy there. Yeah. So I mean, there's no way I can go into foothills next Sunday. ⁓ yeah. Without breaking some of the rust off this week somewhere. Well, as you can see laying over here in the shop floor, we've got some targets that I've been repairing and getting painted. So we'll get out. We'll get out and shoot one afternoon this week. Yeah. And shoot some 3Ds. I've got several of them set up already. And don't forget to, I'll bring my 3D one over here too. That way we can have numerous options. So we'll be, ⁓ we'll have 10 targets we can shoot anyways. Yeah. So, but yeah, we've got to get some time behind the string. For sure. ⁓ It's been a while. ⁓ Even for me, know shooting. Mm-hmm. It's been a minute. We've got softball and late nights doing that three nights a week with Hadley and It seems like we just have not been able to make our schedules line up the past three weeks really. Yeah, it's been rough Fortunately, we got a few of these episodes recorded ahead of time so that we're only really behind a week Yeah, but it's just been so difficult the last the last little bit getting everything lined up ⁓ But I think I don't know I think things are kind of ⁓ yeah things from mellowing out a little bit now Yeah, except we got turkey season coming up. That's going to throw a wrench and some stuff. Well turkey season is coming up I've got to get my bow set up. Yeah for tack. ⁓ yeah, you got that coming up I got tack coming up in three weeks. ⁓ man. I forgot about that. Yeah, so this week I got to get behind this thing and kind of just get back in the field and the swing of shooting this thing for foothills because you know like we talked about prior before we started the recording I do want to use it as an ASA qualifier. Yep it is a it's actually a quad qualifier so it qualifies you for North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and I think Georgia. Is it Georgia too? I think there's four. I know it's a it's a quad qualifier don't hold me to that I know that it's four states might be Tennessee. Maybe. I don't know, but I know it's four states. So yeah, I need to, need to get some time behind this thing this week, even if it's like a day or two, you know, just a couple hours behind it, one hour a day or something, but just get back in the swing of it. I really need to go back in and double check that tape since brushy cause that bread tape was put on such so quick. last minute, but then I've got a Lift-X that's got a brand new set of sights on it that's never been shot since then. I got a Phase 4 that has got a brand new set of sights on it and hasn't been shot since those new sights were put on. The Phase 4's got a new set of strings coming. ⁓ I hate the peep that's currently in it, so I'm gonna put a new peep in it. This is the only bow worth a crap to shoot right now. And I got three of them. Two of them are just pretty paperweights. And at first I was gonna take the face forward attack because it's longer draw length or it's a longer ATA. It's gonna be a little more forgiving but I really want to take my 70 pound bow. because my phase four is only 60 pounds. So I feel like I can trade off a little bit of forgiveness for a little bit of extra umph. Yeah, yeah. That's probably a a good mindset to have. Are you going to set it up with a hunting arrow or what are you going to set it up with? That's another thing. I've got to build, it's a set of a dozen attack arrows. Yeah. I got a, I got a dozen arrows sitting over at the house right now that need cut. They need flex, they need inserts, they need half outs. Like, yeah. And I'll be honest, I'm trying to get the arrow built, fully built around 410-ish. If I can get around 410, 420, I'll be happy with that. So it's not gonna be an easy, easy thing to do. But we'll see how it plays out. Cause I would like to take a lighter arrow to tack. I wouldn't hunt with it, but. When is that? May 1st. May 1st? Yeah. Wow. Yeah, I've got three weeks. ⁓ Well, I wonder if they have any spots up in I'm sure they do I should look into it. You should I should look into that I'm scheduled I'm scheduled for a Friday evening shoot and a Saturday evening shoot. Okay, that's it I'm only scheduled for two shoots. So I've got to leave out of here Friday, which I think is May 1st like Friday morning. I'm probably gonna leave out of here like ⁓ probably five o'clock in the morning so that I can be up there by 10 ish, 10, 11 ish. Cause I think it's a five, five and a half hour drive. And then what that'll do for me is because I have an evening shoot, I can still get in, check out all the vendors, hit the practice range, stuff like that. Maybe do the hundred yard shot that they have there and try my luck at winning a truck. Who knows? So, so yeah, I've got some work to do. in the next three weeks. Well, at least we got a place to do it. Yeah. You know, so I don't have to worry about going to a bow shop and that's nice about having a press and a draw board. You know, we can do a lot of things here and do it after hours. You don't have to try and get in there, get into a shop. That's what's nice about it. know, having the everything on hand so that you're not rushing to the bow shop. Yeah. You know, so yeah, there's There's definitely some arrows to be slung and some preparation to be had over the next few weeks. Yeah, it's going to be ⁓ interesting. It's going be good to get back in the swing out though. This week will probably be a busy week for us. It will. Doing a lot of filming, trying to catch up and then ⁓ some shooting. ⁓ But I don't have any softball this week. It's spring break week. So that's good. Nice. So we've got three nights this week. that we're gonna be hopefully trying to get together and get some stuff knocked out. Yeah, and I think it'd be cool too during some of our outdoor shoots this week. Throw the drone up. ⁓ yeah. You know? Absolutely. So try to get some cool shots and kind of start implementing that into the channel a little bit. Plus it draws more attention that way when I'm for like short form stuff. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ But yeah, with all that said, I mean we've got quite a bit on our plate, like archery-wise over the next little bit. Yeah, so we are gonna go shoot Foothills, shooting complex this weekend, which we've done. right outside of Yeah, so we're gonna go shoot that this weekend. It'll be my second time shooting there. I've never shot Foothills, and I'm wicked excited for it though, because I've heard great things about that course. it is. It was a good range. So I'm excited to see if it changes, if they... Leave it the same. I'm not sure what they'll do. Yeah. ⁓ but I'm excited for it either way. Yeah. I think it's going to be really fun and it makes it even easier to go because it's 15 minutes down the So I mean, it's, not like we're having to pack up and hit the road before the sun comes up so that we can make it there by, you know, whenever tee time is. yeah, it's, don't have, we're not going to have to rush. So that's, that's going to be nice. Yeah, for sure. ⁓ And in between Foothills and the ASA state championship, there's, Lord, I mean, it's every weekend there's a shoot. ⁓ yeah. I mean, there's definitely some other shoots that we can go to between then. ⁓ for sure. So yeah, we're going be traveling around to some other places and shooting. I don't know exactly where yet, but definitely going to be hitting some more ranges. Just trying to get the time. That's been, you know, linking up with people and making some of these places. ⁓ I, my buddy Dave went up this past weekend, or I guess yesterday, ⁓ Yeah, yesterday and shot ⁓ up in Marion. There's a, I think it's Appalachian Archers or Appalachian Archery range up in Marion. ⁓ And he had a lot of really good things to say about that club. So I'll check that place out. Yeah. I think they're part of that believers circuit. What did he just go up and shoot just because or did they have to shoot? They had to shoot. ⁓ Unfortunately we had, well not unfortunately, but we had a family, ⁓ family get together. So I couldn't make it to go shoot with him. I wish I could have but yeah, they had said they had a good time both him and Todd shot pretty well nice, so Yeah, we're gonna need to get together so I can meet these guys. I know I talked about all these people I know and I'm over here like But yeah ⁓ It's almost, it's almost at the point where it would, don't know when your strings are going to be here, but it's almost like we almost shouldn't even mess with this bow. We should almost get your phase four or whatever you're going to shoot and shoot it this weekend. If you're going to tack in three weeks. well, ⁓ taking the lift X attack. Okay. I'm going to, I'm, I'm going to shoot. I'm not, I'm not going to shoot a hunting arrow through it. I it's going to be a five mil shaft. It's going to be one that could most definitely be set up as a hunting arrow. Um, but because of its lighter GPI, I kind of want to use it for that style of shooting. Um, but yeah, I'm definitely going with, with the purpose of using like a hunting setup without using hunting arrows per se. You know, they're going to be a little lighter, so they won't punch as hard, but not really looking for that one. when shooting a little bit of 3D. I don't know, I I've watched a lot of videos of Tac and I've seen people take fully built custom like target rigs. Oh really? That's what I was wondering if you could take like any kind of You can take any setup, it's a free for all shoot. Really? Yeah, it's not anything that's got any like classes or nothing. There's no, I'm sure they might give you a scorecard and you can you know score your shoot if you feel like it but. I think a lot of people just use it as a novelty shoot. They just go because. Yeah. You know? And it's renowned as one of the coolest and biggest shoots in the country that happens every year in numerous states. So, and I'm sure there's other shoots that try to compete against it, you know? I think there is one that's just, I think solely focuses on like southeastern states. Yeah. But whereas where's Tac, Tac is nationwide. Yeah. Oh You've got them in big sky. You've got, and that's, that's where I really wanted to go was Colorado. I just didn't want to front Colorado money. Cause getting out there is going to be, that's the expensive part. Price of shoots the same. Yeah. But it's your travel there and back is what gets pricey. Now you said you're shooting Friday, Saturday. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm going to shoot Friday, Friday. It's so they got tier one, two and three. one is the most sought after tier because you're on the course, you're shooting your shot, you're shooting your range well before the sun. peaks in the sky. So you're done shooting your course for the day by 10 o'clock in the morning. You can be on the course at 7 a.m. and you're not sweating walking through the course and you're not hiking through these mountains and trails. many targets is it? I think it's 20 targets. Okay. I think. Yeah. But what sets them apart from other like 3D courses and stuff is what you're shooting at. Yeah. And the angles. The ranges. A lot of your local shoots in 3D 3D guys like the clubs, they're not gonna have Bigfoot. They're not gonna have these wild targets to shoot at and they're not gonna be any further than 50 yards most of time. Toy Larchery Challenge, however, you could be shooting a Bigfoot at 112 yards. That's cool. I'm only planning on taking a dozen. Only a dozen? Yeah, I'm taking a dozen and I'm telling you, if I lose five, I'm walking out. Like I just, that's a lot of arrows, man. Yeah. It's a lot of money down the So, ⁓ I think their most popular course and I think it follows from state to state is their prime course. Okay. I think, can't quite remember, but the prime course is their most sought after. And if you go on their website, you can actually see where it says like what, what each course is and what yardage. you can expect in that course. So like they have certain courses where you can range from 20 to 50 yards. But then the very next course below it that you can register for could be anything from 60 to 90. ⁓ wow. Nothing shorter than 60 yards. So it just varies, know, depending on how many errors you want to lose versus how good do you think you are. So, and I can't remember what courses I signed up for. That's funny. Yeah. I'm gonna figure this out real quick. So we paused for a second so that we can actually go through and look up these courses real quick. ⁓ Went through and verified that my registration is for the Jack Link's course and the Knock On course. ⁓ Jack Link's course is 20 to 60 yard ranges for 25 targets. And the Knock On course is 60 to 100 yards. That's gonna be interesting. 25 targets of nothing less than 60 yards. And I guess it's nicknamed the waterfall course and I'm not entirely sure why I Did say steep angles mountain goats and sheep at that range. So If I lose arrows, that'll be the course I lose it on ⁓ So I'm bringing half a dozen I Hope I don't bring home any less than 12. Sorry. I'm bringing a dozen and I'm hoping to bring home 12. Yeah ⁓ If you bring home six though, you'll feel okay. Not five. Yeah. Just six is your I think six is my cutoff. If I started to look like I'm going come home with any less than half a dozen, I think I might just call it. Walk up. Like, it rain just want to be like a hundred yards. Boys, I'm going to make this one 50. I'm going to make this one 50. ⁓ man. Well, that'll be interesting. It will be. It will be. it's something that that I'm just so excited for. Shoot that many targets that long. mean, around here you'll have people put on like a long shot where you're shooting three arrows at the same target at, you know, 80 to 100 yards. Yeah. And it's a big, massive elk or a buffalo or, you know, not a... Not a four foot mountain goat. Or a mule deer at 100 yards. Yeah, so... Like the first time I shot at 100 was at an elk. Right. You know, and even at 100 that thing is... ⁓ yeah. It's massive. Yeah. And... buddy. I was just thrilled to hit foam. Yeah, I'm sure. But, you know, you could pay for three shots when I first shot it. ⁓ And it was like you get entered into a raffle. Yeah. But whatever. But you could shoot it all day long for free. Didn't matter. The shots just didn't matter for the raffle portion of it and I Shot it probably ten times. I hit it all ten times Wow all ten times now granted It was not a group to be proud of But at a hundred yards I hit foam all ten times, but I will say like the more you shoot at that distance I could tell the the better I was able to aim the bow at that distance Well, you're really checking your follow throughs, know, yeah you're checking your shot process and your follow through because you can kind of feel when the bow goes off if you pull a little bit left or torque it a little bit to the right or if you went off a little high, if you helped the air before it got out of the bow. There's all those little tips and tricks that you feel when you're 100 yards and then it feels like you got five seconds to really, to think about those mistakes that you made while your air's on swing. telling you, man, I've never in my life been able to shoot a bow. pull my bow down and then find the arrow in flight before it hits foam. It was crazy. And even at hundred yards, it's relatively difficult to hear foam. Like you can kind of hear this faint little, that's about all you get. And if you don't hear it or you don't have a set of binos strong enough to see it, you're at the grace of everybody else shooting around you before you go pull arrows. Well, you're lucky enough to have a nice set of binos where that shouldn't be a problem. Yeah. Me at 100 yards looking at something looks like a... I don't even know that my... It would help. ⁓ it would help. But... It would be much better than... But... What would help me more than anything is the stabilizing portion. Yeah, that's what I'm know that 16 power is going to give me what I need. Yeah, it's still going to be. At 100, but it would, it's better than shaking like a dog on, yeah, dog with Parkinson's. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I'm curious to see if you come back with anything from the vendor. I'm not going to say that I don't or that I won't, you know? ⁓ I mean, these vendors, are just everything. ⁓ yeah. They got boot companies, they got arrow companies, releases. ⁓ yeah. All kinds of archery. All kinds of just anything archery related or hunting related. It's going to be marketed there. Yeah. So a lot, even a lot of these guys that are like the smaller hometown guys. they get booths there. ⁓ yeah. It helps boost their popularity because they're there with thousands of people who are swinging through here to shoot and that's how they get their name out. Yeah. So. Well people travel from all over. I mean, you were saying that you had a friend coming from Texas. Yeah, I got a friend coming from Texas. ⁓ I mean, I'm traveling from North Carolina, which granted it's not too far out of the way, but I mean, it's about a six hour drive regardless. ⁓ Man, there's people who do the Total Archery Challenge Tour. Yeah. know, guys who live in Texas, they'll shoot Big Sky, and they'll shoot Belvedere in Tennessee, and then they'll turn around and go shoot Pennsylvania. I mean, these guys travel everywhere to do these challenges because it's different in every course. Yeah. I'm curious to see who all shows up, like YouTubers and... ⁓ I can tell you I know who will be there. ⁓ At least for this at least at this location and it's only because he has a shop right out right outside of Belvedere ⁓ yeah, who's that? MFJJ. ⁓ Okay. Yeah, cool. Yeah, MFJJ will be there. I almost guarantee it Yeah, because like I said, he has he his bow shop that he runs on his channel is like half hour away from From where total archery challenge Tennessee is. Wow, that's cool. Yeah, so I'm actually kind of hoping I get to meet him Yeah, that'd be kind of cool to do ⁓ I actually have a buddy of mine who lives in Tennessee who's like three hours away from where Bill, where Total Archery is there. And he got his bow set up by MFJJ. Oh cool. So yeah, he, uh, he's met him before. He said he's a pretty solid dude. Awesome. Yeah. He's met the whole, I think he said he met the whole crew that kind of plays into MFJJ's podium archer. Yeah. Yeah. So, and I'd be willing to bet that, know, you see MFJJ, You probably might see Ty Jordan. I can't even think of the dude's name now, but it's like socials or bowboy. can't remember. But yeah, there'll probably be quite a few YouTubers there. And it's funny you mentioned that though, because there was a, in the Total Artichoke Challenge Facebook group, there was a guy mentioned, says, hey, what do I do if I got seven people in my group, but there's only six spots allowed? And somebody was like, you can only have six. That's the rule. They're not gonna give you an extra spot just because. And one of the other comments was like, great, seven people setting up a camera for a shot just for YouTube. That course is going to take all day. Yeah, no kidding. So I can see based on that comment, I can definitely tell that you're going to have people out there who will be YouTubing. ⁓ for sure. Who will be doing the whole social media thing. Well, I mean, if we go, we'll be doing it. We'll be doing it. Yeah. Right. But. You've also got those like old timers or the guys that don't do it. Not even old timers, but the guys who just go to shoot for the fun of it. Yeah, for sure. They, they've definitely voiced their opinion as far as the whole YouTube thing goes. Well, here's the thing at the end of the day, we're all just guys out shooting our buddies, having fun. If someone's behind us and we're moving slow, shoot through. Yeah, we're cordial. You can shoot through that's not a big deal. Yeah, I've got nothing against that. Yeah Just be respectful. Mm-hmm. to people like they're not bothering you because at the end of the day You're there to shoot and have a good time, right? If it takes you three hours or if it takes you five hours, what are you gonna do? That's it. Yeah, you know, I'm there. I paid my money Yeah, I'm gonna shoot the course how I want to shoot the course. Yep So but yeah I'm excited to go Excuse me. ⁓ You should look into it. I'll look into it. Maybe a day, just a day. Yeah. You know, even if you head up with me on Friday. Yeah. You know, we can, I don't think you can go into the courses with me. Maybe you can that day. I don't know how that works. Yeah. But I'm pretty sure you're still allowed on practice range. I'm pretty sure you're still allowed to see the vendors. Like they can't block you out everything. Yeah, for sure. You know, I mean, I'd like to shoot it. I'd like to shoot, you know, at least one range. Yeah. So I think it'd be cool. Like I said, you'd be able to just shoot Saturday together. Yeah. Yeah. I'll look into it for sure. Yep. ⁓ have to get something built cause I ain't taking a target, but yeah, not a full target set up for sure. And that's the thing. Like I said, I don't want to be dragging 30 inch bars through the woods because I don't know what the terrain looks like out there as far as like where these courses are ran, how they've got them set up. There's a reason they're having it there. Right. It's not going to be flat. It's not going to be flat. I would venture to say 18 of those 25 targets will have some sort of incline. Oh, and probably 10 of those 18 will be extremely steep in clients. mean, it's that's fun though. Oh yeah. And a lot of people use these, these, these big tack shoots as verification of bow setups. Oh, for sure. You know, because you need to see how your bow shoots at 50 yards flat. 50 yards at a steep uphill, 50 yards at a steep downhill, 50 yards at a steep downhill to the left when you kinda got your, you know, checkin' that third axis, you know? So, a lot of people use these shoots for verification for bow setups. Well, especially if you're a big elk hunter, or, you know, really any kinda big game that you're chasing out west. You know, here we do a lot of... tree stand hunting and stuff like that. don't really have a whole lot of opportunity to go shoot really anything off the side of a cliff here. I mean, you might have a hillside that you're shooting off of, but not really chasing much big game here like that. I'd like to though. ⁓ yeah. I'd like to go. I'd like to go do a mule deer hunt or something one day or an elk hunt. I'd like to do a big mule hunt out in Mexico. Yeah. I think it'd be sweet. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, so that's ⁓ kind of what we got going on and kind of preparations and... Yeah, that's just in the next few weeks. Yeah, I mean we've got... So we've got the ASA qualifier coming up this weekend. Yeah. Then we've got the tack in three weeks. Yeah. And then between then I'm going down to the coast to turkey hunt. I'm to be down there, not this weekend, but next weekend. Oh yeah. So we got some, some busy stuff coming up. We're definitely going to be busy and we're going to try and tag you guys along. Yep. Get some good short clips. Um, everything's not going to be these long podcasts. We're gonna try and do some shorter stuff. Not every video will be this. Yeah. We'll break it up and do some actual shooting videos and try to get, you know, Jacob with him going down to the coast, doing some turkey hunting next week, you know, Hopefully he can snag a few videos down there. Yeah, for sure. Yep. It won't be using a bow. It'll be using a shotgun. Yeah. So it won't be archery related, but it'll still be something different. That episode we can cross out archers path. Yeah. The shotgun's path. That's right. Yeah. Just for that one episode. Yeah. But yeah, so that's kind of what we got going on. And thank you guys for sticking through. Yeah, absolutely. episode. We'll catch you on the next one. Happy Easter and see you guys next time. See ya.
