Hey everyone. ⁓ Pastor Sam and I coming at ya for a little intro. ⁓ we wanted to kind of explain what this podcast is gonna be about. So as you've heard it announced here and online that we're doing a podcast all the way through Lent to go with our Lent journals, ⁓ of 40 days. And we just want to come here to intro it so you can kind of understand it better that this is season one of this Point Church podcast, where you know, this this whole Lent series will be in just one season. And then from there, we're gonna have other seasons. ⁓ it's not gonna be every day ⁓ like this one, but you know, with this too, Pastor Sam could talk about, you know, it's a growing process. We started this just together with two microphones and a computer. And ⁓ so you'll see it throughout this whole first season of the lighting changing, ⁓ microphones sound better some days, some not. ⁓ But it's just us growing in it, and we're so grateful for you all to be a part of it. Yeah. So the format for this season is we're going through the book of Matthew and we're breaking it down into 40 days. and we're taking Sundays off because when you study, you know, the history of Lent, you know, Sunday is a day that you gather, you feast, and you still worship the Lord, but you know, this is the practice of six days of preparation for Sunday. So that's the format that we'll be doing in this season. The other thing that we wanted to point out is there are some days where the passages of scripture might be like seven or eight verses. Others where it's a whole chapter. So a lot of it is just trying to integrate into your everyday life of reading scripture, that it doesn't matter how long you read scripture for, but it's how deep you go into the word and how deep the word goes into you. So that's the rhythm, that's kind of a setup. ⁓ some episodes are more of me talking, breaking down the text, others are us talking back and forth to each other, like asking questions, answering questions. So again, this is all part of the learning curve. And the heart behind this is not to be ⁓ famous or to be like slick in any way. It's just to say that if this can be any kind of help in your journey and following Jesus. We are more than happy to offer that. And there's maybe some things that we'll get slightly off and we just want to always say, just return to scripture, return to God, continue to pursue him and allow this time, allow this ⁓ season to just help you in your walk with Jesus. Not to be a checklist, but just to say, As I journey with the Lord, I'm not journeying alone. And this is just part of ⁓ you know, signposts along the way to becoming more like Jesus. So we hope that you enjoy your time with us and we hope that the book of Matthew speaks to you the way that it has over the centuries. Anything else you done? Amen. And you know, as you're going through this, please, if you have any questions whatsoever, our my email will be in the description and you can just send your questions and we'll make sure I think after this podcast, season one podcast is over, we're going to dive into those questions. And answer ⁓ and yeah, it's kind of it. And ⁓ we pray every day for you as you guys are on this journey. And ⁓ we'll see you in episode one.
