Stephanie Stephan: Hello, welcome to Purrs, Barks and Tweets with Love. My name is Stephanie Stefan. This is a podcast for animal lovers such as yourself. Welcome. Every week I will be sharing a story about a different animal. And I believe that because I shared last week a missing dog, it is appropriate that this week I share a story about a missing cat. This particular story starts on I think it a Tuesday evening, if I were to be exact. ⁓ I was tired. It had been really long day. ⁓ And I received a text message a friend of mine asking, hey, Stephanie, ⁓ I believe there is a lady that is quite desperate. There is ⁓ a situation with a missing cat. believe that she... ⁓ has been looking for him for about five weeks i believe so she really really needs some help in trying to figure out where he is and if he is okay so it was in the middle of dinner time when i did get the text message from this lady and i said let's see what we can do about it and with missing animals there's always this concern about how do you really get enough details to fully understand the whereabouts, to get precise location. It's an art and a science and I don't particularly do this very often. So I said, well, let's try. And I did connect with a cat. I received a picture from her. I connected with the cat and as soon as I saw him, he was sitting on the porch of a very pretty yellow house. It was in the city this time. And this was ⁓ interesting because he was kind of like pondering, should I or shouldn't I cross the street because this is a lot of cars. And he wanted to stay safe and not cross the street, but he also wanted to come home and... He was just in that moment pondering what to do. And I told her that this was basically the situation. He was doing okay. He was in a safe place because he was in the porch of a house. So there was no danger around him other than the potential crossing of a very busy road that was both directions. But he seemed to be quite smart about considering that being a dangerous situation and I didn't believe that he was going to actually cross that street. So that's what I saw. And I told her that. And I also told her I do have an evening meeting that I need to join in in a little bit. For that reason, I'm not going to be able to continue with the session. So in the meantime, what I request from you is to replicate the same that I instructed the person with the missing dog. Please focus on only not how much you are worried about your cat. I know that he's been missing for quite some time. I'm already telling you he's alive and he's okay. So let's set aside the worries for a moment, but focus only and exclusively on a lighthouse. Focus on how much you love your cat. Allow that lighthouse to grow bigger and brighter. as you continue to focus on how much you love your cat. Let that lighthouse expand. Let that light expand and also let that love that you have for your animal connect with him so that he can find his way back home in case that he can find a different route that can lead him to you. That was the instruction. Very simple. It was basically Focus on love, not fear. Imagine the lighthouse and just let that lighthouse grow bigger and brighter. So I went to the meeting, which was about an hour. And when I finished the meeting, I reached out to her again and I wanted to see how things were going and if I needed to reconnect with the cat and continue with the session. And to my surprise, to my surprise. I was so delighted to hear the message from her saying, he's back and sent me the video of their reunion where he came in and she was just holding him and it was just so lovely and it's just amazing. It's so heartwarming because not only did she tell me via text, but she also sent me the video because she was just so delighted that that just happened. As I said, it had been several weeks. This lighthouse technique that I had also worked on with the missing dog worked with this cat and this cat came home within the hour that I was actually in the meeting. It was during the meeting when he came back. So I was floored to see how fast that happened. And again, ⁓ me just reinforced that it was not me that did this it was her all I did was just facilitate that reunion by providing some instructions to be followed so the animal could see her love and find his way back home ⁓ going through that busy road that he was considering ⁓ ⁓ was delighted they were reunited I just felt so, so happy about happening so fast. Amazing. again, I would like to reiterate, if you ever find yourself in a situation where your animal is missing and you would like to do something about it other than worry, the most important thing is precisely not to worry. Precisely that is... have a discipline of separating fear from love. That is a discipline. It has to be intentional and it has to be something that we really put an effort on because we are conditioned to always worry and we need to change that mindset. We need to focus on the love because it is the love that brings results, not the worry. The worry is just draining our energy, but the love creates miracles. So if you ever, ever, I hope not, but if you ever do find yourself in that situation, please remember this. Set aside the worries, set aside the fears, set aside the concerns, and focus exclusively love. Imagine the lighthouse. Imagine your love grow bigger. Imagine the lighthouse grow brighter and your animal has this bond with you. The love that you have for this animal can be seen. It's actually real. It is an energy field that can be seen as well as it can be felt. So if you follow this technique I am pretty sure that the results will be far more positive than if you focus on the fear. And that is the story for today. I hope you enjoyed it. ⁓ I would to check out my book, The Path to Unconditional Love. It is ⁓ found in ⁓ online bookstore of your choice. Independent bookstores are carrying my book as well as bigger retailers as well. And my recommendation is if you would like to support your local favorite bookstore, please do that. And you can also find them in bookshop.org which supports local bookstores as well. Until the next episode, be kind to others but especially, especially Be kind to all the beautiful creatures that coexist in this amazing planet that we call Mother Earth.
