Stacy Braga: If you listened to the last episode, you know that copywriting is the most underrated skill in business. And the reason it's so underrated is because a lot of business owners treat copywriting like something off of a checklist. write the website, check, right? Send the check. Post on LinkedIn three times this week, check. But copywriting is more than a task. It is actually a skill set. And the people who build their copywriting muscle are always going to be ahead of the curve because they know how to adapt, they know how to speak to their people, and they know what to shift and when to shift it. And that's why copywriting is so important. So let's dive in and talk more about it. the market has changed a lot, especially if you work in the online the market has changed a lot. People are taking longer to buy. The economy sucks right now. So people are way more selective about where they're spending money. And on top of all of that, you've got your LLMs that are trying to replace content writers and there's this pressure to post more and more and more and I don't want to get too deep into it, listen to the last episode. But happens is that ⁓ the content sounding the same and when it starts sounding the same people zone out. ⁓ And so ⁓ when that's happening, able to out through the noise to position yourself ⁓ as the obvious choice, ⁓ knowing makes you different when lands on your website or reads your emails And they can see not only like this person gets what struggling with and why, but they also have a good solution for how I can get there. ⁓ And approach makes sense for where I am in business and what I want to do. ⁓ And that's the job of copywriting. I know it was like six jobs, but it really is about communicating your value, building that urgency in your audience and writing ⁓ in a that really resonates with your ideal clients. And so able to do this and being able to adapt to what's happening in the market and what's happening in real life because real life touches business. That is more than just writing. And so that's why AI can't do it because ⁓ it thinking, it takes positioning, it takes messaging, it takes strategy. ⁓ And are the skills that will last. forever in your business, right? you use a template, the that I have from five years ago are not really relevant anymore today because the market is so different. So I could give you templates, but they're not going to last the lifetime of your business. And a strategy that worked for somebody three years ago is not working in 2026. But the ability to look at your own copy and know what's working and why that is a skill that will last you forever and ever and ever because no matter what happens in the market, no matter who you're speaking to, if you want to shift your ideal client, when you understand how to position yourself, when you understand how to write copy in a way that resonates, that's going to last forever in your business. And that is the main reason why Copy Classroom is a year long program and not because you can't grasp the foundations really quickly. It doesn't take a year to learn the foundations, but because as a former teacher, I know that building a skill comes from reps and that means you need to practice it over and over again, getting feedback on your work, adjusting, doing it again. And if you Submit copy for review every single week inside copy classroom the amount of growth that you will make in one year is huge. That piece is huge and I have seen it in my clients who stay in copy classroom. Sometimes they stay for a year, sometimes they stay for two years, but when they leave, they are really sure of themselves and they know how to adapt to the market. They know what to say. They know how to position themselves, even if their offers change, even if their audience changes, even if there's a trust recession and they have to do things a little bit differently than what worked a few years ago. Those are the skills that we are building inside copy classroom. And really what makes copy classroom different, and here's where I'm putting my teacher hat on. because I ⁓ it like a classroom and in a classroom, nobody learns in the same way. There are different approaches because people learn differently. So it is not a course ⁓ just gives you information and then sends you off to figure it out. It is not a bunch of templates. It is not a bunch of swipe files. And it is not something where in a year from now, after you've gone through copy classroom, you're sitting there going, wait, how do I write copy? What should I say in these emails? How do I plan a launch? You don't need that. Cause you already built the skills and you know what to do. a teacher, as who was in classrooms for six years, who led professional development for hundreds of adults, I know that Taking in information without it does not work. Because can watch videos, you can listen to the podcast, but without putting in those reps, without the practice, without ⁓ trying and feedback and adjusting on that feedback, you're not gonna build the skills, right? You're just consuming content. And so that is why copy classroom is structured in the way it is ⁓ to give the space to build those skills. and there are three main ways that you can interact inside copy classroom to get the support that you need. ⁓ the first one is there's a foundational curriculum. And so this is not a start to finish curriculum. It is not for beginner business owners necessarily. ⁓ are six modules in there. Every module has a workbook that you can also submit for feedback. So there are people who have been in copy classroom for a while, but they will return back to copy classroom foundations because say they want to redo their welcome sequence because it's been two years since you wrote your welcome sequence. And actually a lot has changed since you last wrote it. So they're going to go into that email marketing and watch that video, use the workbook to help them write their welcome sequence. It is not something that you complete in order. It is a reference library that you come back to again and again, as your business evolves. So that's the first piece of copy classroom is that foundational curriculum. The second piece is weekly copy reviews. And this has been the bread and butter of copy classroom ever since it started back almost three years ago. Weekly copy reviews is your main feedback loop. This is where you build the skills. You submit real copy from your real business. And so this is about not adding more work to what you're already doing, but just being more strategic and getting my eyes on what you're doing. So if you ask any of my clients, they will tell you it is very specific feedback. There are questions. Sometimes I am rearranging things in a Google Doc for you. It is not just like a heart emoji. There's like, here's what to change. Here's why to change it. And over time, your copy gets better. I've really watched people where when they start inside copy classroom, I spend a lot of time on their reviews because I'm like, this has to change and this has to change and this has to change. And then, you know, a year in when they are, when they are getting ready to graduate, it's more specific feedback, but they really get a feel for like the structure of copy and how and what they should be saying. And so it's cool to see that transformation because you really do see, build their skills over time and it just makes my teacher heart ⁓ very happy. So you've got your foundations, you have your weekly copy reviews, and then the last piece to copy classroom is there are weekly calls. these weekly calls, this is really your community piece, your accountability piece. We rotate through a cycle. So strategy session, know where you're showing up and why. Messaging session is how are you positioning yourself? we have rotating clarity calls. Sometimes they're guest experts. Sometimes they are based on the needs of the group. And then finally, there's an office hour session, which is a drop in, ask any questions. So every single Monday, 2 p.m. Eastern, ⁓ a call. and it rotates through this cycle so that you are thinking about your strategy, your messaging and getting clear on the topics that you need the most support. one of the biggest assets of copy classroom is that you're working not only with a copywriter, but you are working with somebody who is trained in educational leadership, who knows how to lead professional development. ⁓ And so ⁓ the way that you approaching building skill, it's not overwhelming. It's not like, Hey, here's a bunch of information and now I don't know where to start. It's really structured in a way that you can build on what you've been working on and you're not going to get overwhelmed because you're taking small steps. So it really feels approachable. It's not intimidating And it's also going to get you the results in your business because being able to articulate that value, being able to talk about why your offer is the right fit for somebody, why they should jump in And being able to communicate your value through your emails and LinkedIn posts and your website. ⁓ That ⁓ again, like able do that no matter what's going on is such a huge, huge asset to your business. And it shows up not just in copywriting, but everywhere that you are showing up, it shows up at how you talk about things at networking events. It shows up how you talk about your offers on sales calls. It shows up in every social media post and your website and everywhere that you are showing up and talking about your business. So. It truly is about building these skills that are going to help you in the long term for your business. To give you some ideas about what's possible, I want to tell you about two clients. So one of my clients, Sarah, she is very consistent. She's got her podcast, she's got LinkedIn, she's got her email marketing, she is showing up. But she decided to launch a new group program and she wasn't getting conversions. And she had one person in there, but it was supposed to be a group. And During one of our strategy calls, we thought about what's the missing piece here, Why aren't people joining? what we realized was there ⁓ was no ask. There was a lot of soft selling, but there was no actual sales email. And so during that call, we worked through, hey, we need a sales email. What is the messaging? She submitted it for review and then sent that email ⁓ and... then she had three discovery calls booked in that same day. And so that building that skill of, okay, what's missing? What do I actually need to do? And then being able to write an email that is going to get you three discovery calls booked in that same day. Like that's amazing. That's so exciting. The second client I want to tell you about is Greg. Greg is somebody who, thank you Greg, has sent me so many referral clients. all of those clients, we always start with brand messaging. We start with brand messaging and then I write their websites. ⁓ And clients really love that because the process was so easy and then the end result of the website is really aligned because it started with that brand messaging. Then Greg asked me to write his website and I said, Greg, you're doing it backwards. You need your brand messaging first. created brand messaging workbook for him, is actually inside the copy classroom foundations module the entire guide, is what I use for my done for you clients is inside that copy classrooms foundation course. And so whenever he has to write something, he uses that guide he says it's helped him a lot because he's much more confident in what he has to say and much more clear about it and he knows exactly what talk on sales calls. And so that's what I mean when I'm saying you're building skills because he now has this foundation that he can use over and over and over again. ⁓ you're listening to this and you're like, yes, ⁓ want structure ⁓ feedback and I want my emails to convert better and I want my website to convert better and I want my social media to actually do something. Let's about who copy classroom ⁓ is actually ⁓ So it for solo business owners who write copy in their business ⁓ and don't want to start from scratch every time. They want a foundation to pull from. They want to streamline their strategy. They want their strategy to be simple. And they want feedback that is going to help them improve over time. And they are somebody who are ready to invest in a skill that will serve their business forever. And not just like for their next launch or for their next set of emails. They are ready to develop the skill that is going to last the lifetime of their business. ⁓ you love learning, will love copy classroom. If you feel uncomfortable getting feedback, it's probably not you. if you just want to consume content, but not actually in the work, it is probably not for you. ⁓ It's also not for you if you want me to write your copy for you. That's what the copy studio is for. I'm happy to write it for you. It's just a different level of investment. And it's also not about me giving you my strategy. It is about figuring out what your strategy is based on your strengths and based on what makes sense. So all of this being said, the doors to copy classroom are open today. This is the first time Copy Classroom has launched with the full Foundations curriculum included. So if you have been on the fence, now is the time.
