Bryan Alan White: I'm Brian. you'll see Jamie here in just a second and Sean. Again, this is part two of Sean's testimony. So last week he talked about ⁓ kind of where he came from and how he got to the Lord and his journey ⁓ through the military and where he's at now. So tune in and listen up. I mess up all the time. I mean like It's kind of like you think you know love until you're introduced to the love of Jesus and what he did and how he laid it down. Yeah, man. I think it's that agape love is just it's it changes your whole being. Like I'm a softie for everything. Now I feel like a like a big old sis, you know, like something sad on I'm crying, something on TV, you know. Yeah. Everything like, ⁓ my gosh. But you know, like you have a heart for stories and for people and for you know, you start seeing people differently. ⁓ you understand that when somebody's doing something bad, you're like, Man, you just don't know. Yeah. You you don't know what's is there for you. And you don't know how it can change you until You know, somebody presents you with a gospel, you know, because I I love ⁓ Romans one one six, you know, ⁓ for I'm not ashamed of the gospel for the power to save, right? Because there's power in the words of the gospel. I'm gonna tell you this. Be ready, buddy. It's gonna change your life. Okay. I don't wanna waste it. I don't be casting pearls to pigs, right? Yeah. I'm gonna give this to you and it's gonna change your life. Yep. says so who am I to question? Exactly. Still setting the captives free. Amen. And and kind of like what you were saying with you know serving yourself and selfish pride and all that. ⁓ my gosh. And these people there's people out there that go, ⁓ well, you know, I can I can still drink and go to church. I can I can still be in my homosexual relationship and go to church and I still I can still be promiscuous. What God's No, no, man, you can't. You cannot serve two masters. You'll either love one and hate the other. Right. Or or you won't serve ⁓ I mean that's just how it works. It's just resonating with me because it was you'll change your language, man. You'll change your language. You'll change what you're putting into your eyes, what you're putting in your ears. What's coming out of your mouth. What's coming out of your mouth. Yeah. It all changes. Every last bit of it. And it's some of these things take time to change in your heart happens instantly like that. It's I mean it's like a poof and there you are. Yeah. And it's that quick. And it's unexplainable. I I don't I don't think anybody can explain what that feeling is or why it happens like that. The only thing you can say is God. You can say Jesus. And you I I told Jamie I told Jamie this, but when I was baptized, I'll I'll never forget, you know, going down into the water and like ⁓ man. It was like this James Cameron cinematic Event that happened. You know, I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And when he went down, it was like slow motion, just and you know, you could hear the water rushing over your face. And the noise it made. And the words he's telling me. And when you come up, ⁓ man, it was I can't explain it, dude. You're gonna make me get emotional because I remember you came up to me and It was so incredible when I first I f I felt new, man. Yeah. Yeah. I felt free from all this stuff. And I know it's just that's not what saves you, right? That's just that's just it's just ⁓ symbol. It's just it's obedience, right? It's just obedience and it's all it is, but it was it was so powerful. I just wanna say thank you because ⁓ I might get emotional about this. ⁓ I remember you came up to me and you were like, Don't stop. Cause I remember the enemy getting to me like, ⁓ you just need to be quiet. And you can't, you know, and it's easy. I was listening to it, I was like, ⁓ maybe I just need to sit back and just be quiet and not express myself. And you were like, Don't stop, man. He goes, I love your passion and that meant a lot, man. Cause we sh we share a lot, man, and that's the thing that He needs to be your passion because we put our passion in a lot of things that die. He's the only thing that's alive and will keep you alive forever. Right. And that's why your identity has to be rooted in Christ. ⁓ yeah. 100%. 100%. 100%. So when and when you share that, I was like, man. And you know, I can say that when I got baptized, it was amazing. And then the meal, like it it felt like we were family and we finally found that family that I've prayed for. I mean, I've prayed I went to my church for years and years and years and never felt like we belong here. I came here and it was like, This is it. Like I remember being in Christina's class and I'm an empathetic person. I feel people's emotion and I was like, Someone's gonna cry. And Christina just starts talking about her mom and her cancer. And she starts crying. I said, Okay, number one. And then I go into c a sermon and Cody's just talking about, ⁓ we got boys that want to be girls and girls that wanna be boys. Well, when Jesus comes back. That's gone. And I'm like, this is it. Like, that's confirmation number two. And then just meeting you at the conference and meeting you and Jody and it's like, and meeting Brian, like, I wouldn't trade this for anything, man. Like, this is where I I dropped my addiction, man. That had me. I had to have it. And like when you're around people that love you and love Jesus, you're gonna have the best time of your life, man. I I I can't go back to getting high. I can't. Because the fellowship that I've had with you guys and just laugh I mean, I'm dubbed princess by my pastor. And you know, I I've I always felt like, ⁓ I'm just gonna get high and this is how it's gonna play out. It never played out. I go to Bible study, I go to conferences with you guys, and it's like I am having the best time of my life. And it's because of the Holy Spirit. 100%. Absolutely. I mean, 'cause there is no high like the high off the Holy Spirit. And when you have that Man, like you said, it's addictive. Like that's all you want to do. ⁓ man. Like I could spend all day in that book and still find new stuff, still want to search stuff. And you ⁓ yeah. You start looking at the importance of the words in the book. And you think, that little word I mean, it doesn't mean much at first. And then you start to look at it and you go, Man, the significance of that little word. The Greek, the Hebrew text, all that. What's going on culturally? Yeah. Yeah. It's so much. And that's some of the problem we see today is that people talk about the book and they go, ⁓ you know, like there's so many contradictions and there's this and that. Like, well, one, there's no contradictions. Right. But the other thing is that you don't understand the context of what's going on in this book. Just like you may not understand the context of somebody's life and you see somebody and like, you know I've heard it countless times with Jamie that people misjudged you at first. Yeah. And it's like that's the thing. That's what he's telling us in this book is not to misjudge, like, look at everybody like they're yourself. You love you, right? You're gonna love somebody else. Love them. And that's what it's all about. And people talk about, ⁓ we're about love. Like this is truly about love. There is nothing but love in this book. ⁓ there's a lot of things done on the opposite side. where they missed the mark and we see that over and over and over again and we do this over and over and over again. But that's the thing, we don't have the capability of of hitting all the marks. Like we're gonna miss. And that's why Jesus had to come in and save us. Right. That's why we talk about him and yeah. That's why it's hard when you hear somebody mock him and it's like, ⁓ man, it's hard you want to forgive but it's like you're talking about my master. Yeah. Like that is mine. And then he gave his life for us. And it's like I I can't sit back. And that's where they think, ⁓ love, turn the other cheek. And it's like, you understand what Jesus did? He flipped tables in his father's house. It's like that's where w it's okay to be loving, but it's like I'm saved, I'm not soft. And it's like d if you blaspheme the master, you get chastised. Like I heard it in a rap song. And it's like that's how we should be. It's like you're talking about our Jesus. Yeah. That you don't go there, buddy. Yeah. And it's like our family and our wives. You just don't go there. The only thing we can do for us believers is to keep fighting. And keep saying, look, I'm gonna keep telling you about this, and regardless of how you feel, this is the truth. You're gonna hear the truth from me. Because that's the truth that he told to me. That's the truth you're gonna get. I believe in the truth, not a portion or a part of the truth. That's it. The thing that gets me about the Bible man is that it's one unified story over thousands of years. Fifteen hundred years, right? Forty different authors. Telling one story. All spread out. It's not all right there in one place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Over fifteen hundred years of of writing this stuff down. How is that I mean, like, how do people not get it? How is it possible? It's not possible. How's it possible? There's no way that we could do that on our own. No. The link that your own selfish pride will go to put that away or or put it aside is is incredible what people will say because they're like, you know, whatever, it's not real, it's not this, it's not that. It's like, dude, if you look and compare to any other story, any other thing that we compare in history to to show, you know, validity and the truth and whatever else, there's nothing that even comes close. Nothing that comes close to that. I just read something not too long ago that there's only like a small amount of actual historical data that they can point to Caesar. Right. But over fifty eight hundred different different things. What are you doing are you about to pull out something that you've been studying that I'm talking about right now? Kinda. Bring it. So what he's talking about is manuscripts. Okay. So if we look at Ginghus Khan, there's only ten manuscripts that show his existence, that prove Ginghus Khan's existence. Bring it. Alexander the Great, everybody believes that he existed, right? I mean, no everybody know he didn't. Well manuscripts. Well manuscripts that prove his existence and they were written four hundred years after his death, might I add you. So anybody that's talking about Jesus and ⁓ those were written so far they were written. They were written, they know for a fact it's within like seventy years. But if you dial it in and look, you're looking at months to like two years after Jesus' death that these eyewitness accounts were written. There ain't no way unless it's from God. Let's move on. Julius Caesar, there's two hundred and fifty manuscripts that sh prove his existence. What about Jesus Christ? There's twenty-five thousand, twenty-five thousand manuscripts. Twenty-five thousand. Think about that for a minute. Twenty-five thousand manuscripts that prove his existence and people still deny him. I just want to say at a certain point you're gonna you're just not gonna believe it, but that's just what it is. So I just want to say this real fast coincidence. Is God's way of remaining anonymous? Right. What just happened? Yeah. That's not coincidence that I'm randomly bringing this up and then you've got ⁓ you open your Bible with a paper with a I'm sure you've probably spent a little bit of time studying. We've had a lot of conversations. I know you're I know you're in it, man. And what you just said is something that I randomly brought up. Yeah. That's man, that's the beauty of this. I love it. I mean, I like I said, I can't get enough and when I start looking at stuff like that, it's like, dude, there's nothing about that that makes any sense to me if it's not true. I mean, it it's all true. Every last bit of it is nothing but truth. And it's like you said, nothing but mind blown daily. Yeah. And that's the incredible part. 'Cause you know, and I'm big on those like documentaries or or learning about stuff and like the incredible stories like any any it doesn't matter. Sports or, you know, some kind of hero war story or or something where like, you know, it's the worst neighbor ever. It's still a documentary, but it's just learning about these things and it's like, man, like you can't get enough of it and it's like when I start looking at it and it's like, man, I could sit there and do it all day. I said it before, I'll say it again. Like this is it's incredible. I think it's amazing that to this day They are still finding finding archaeological monuments of the Bible. Like monuments, manuscripts, and proving that it's true to this day. And it's like, that's not coincidence. No. Like I had a buddy that he was smoking, he was going down the wrong path. When he heard about the Euphrates River drying up, which is prophecy, he was like, My heart sank. And he said, I started reading, I stopped smoking. And he's like, This is real. It's like it's amazing how one little detail or one minuscule prophecy can change somebody's whole life. That's that's what God does. And the other thing that you just made me think of is when Jesus died on that cross, that's when we got into the end times. So you talked about rapture, right? The end times happened as soon as he died on that cross. And that's something that we miss a lot. And I know I will like I think we're good, right? A lot of people go, ⁓ we're we got time. No. That's the you don't have I know, I don't have any any time. It's so awesome whenever you re I it's it is it ⁓ When Jesus Christ saying no one knows the out but the father. But the father. But the father. Right. Jesus is saying these words to us. So what's he saying? Be ready, man. You gotta be ready. Yeah. Cause you don't know if the son doesn't know who is here on earth to execute the plan. We don't know. No. The God man that's here didn't know. How the heck do you think you ⁓ I know, right? Like and what how can my tiny little We're talking about how like people can take context wrong. I remember reading a post that said, ⁓ God's transgender. He says he's neither male nor female, and it's like it it's amazing how that carnal mind can just go to work. He's also not a human being. He's a spirit. But it's like he's called the father, but it was like pe ⁓ I mean, I just read that and I I was thinking about that today. I was like, wow, how carnal the mind. Like, if you don't believe in it and you lean on your own understanding, how ridiculous you sound. Yeah. That's it's exactly right. Like, that's just it's just stupid. I just I remember reading that and I'm like, we we're screwed. We're doomed. Like, and you think like that. Like I remember being in Miss Christina's Sunday classes, she was like, What do you think these younger genera what what do you think of when you see these younger generations and I'm like cooked? I mean, just literally she's like I was like dramatic at and that's where and we just had this conference, right? Men's conference, and you you say cooked and again my mind goes to that too, but at the same time my mind goes, That's where it's our job. We as men need to stand up. Yeah, and every last one of them, they need to know about who Jesus is and they need to we need to tell ⁓ That's what J or God's telling us and Jesus tells us ⁓ in is it Matthew twenty five with the parable of the ten virgins and then it goes on to the ⁓ parable of the ten talents and then it goes on to the Great Commission. Great commission, Great Commission. But that's what he's talking about. It's like and you see it in the Bible and they talk about it, but like you'll have a generation that's doing great. ⁓ like ⁓ I think it was Joshua. We were I was talking about this today. Yeah, w Joshua and then like that that book, like right before it. They came out of Exodus and their their grandparents knew who God was. Or no, it was the people of Joshua. So they did all these crazy things with, you know, walking around the city of Jericho and it falls down and they do all the things for God and it's the next generation. The ones that ⁓ are the very next generation, they have no idea who God is. They would have that good leader, and as soon as that leader died, they would just go off and do their own thing and think what was right in their own mind. And the reason that it's in the Bible, again, that's There's descriptive and prescriptive, right? There's things that Jesus tells us to do, there's prescribing, and then there's describing. And then the describing is telling us, look, these people aren't perfect, neither are you. If you don't tell other people about God, it's going downhill. If you don't love your neighbor, everything's gonna come down and crash. That's what it's telling you. And people harp so ho well, there's there's incest in the Bible, and there's there's lying, cheating, stealing. Yeah, I know. And it's telling you, look how far down they went. And look what they had to do. They had to rely on Jesus to come back. And that's what they say the Bible's full of mistakes. Yup, and look how he forgave them. Yeah. Yeah. That's the one that I remember this guy I used to work with who was just going to seminary. We're having a c ⁓ we were having a conversation and he was like, you know, what's your favorite thing about? And all yeah. Well let me get the one thing Yeah, yeah. And and all I could say was he uses imperfect people for his plan. Yeah, for his plan. We're all broken. And it comes together beautifully and perfectly. Yeah. Isaiah fifty five eleven, from his mouth, it will not return to me until void. I don't know the full context, but that has literally been my go to since COVID. Like No matter what he says, it's gonna work, it's gonna fulfill and come back and it's not gonna be voided. You know, something I've been kind of thinking about, and I've I don't know why, it has just kind of been in my brain is that, you know, especially when you when we pray for people and you're praying for all these things, you know, we're praying for these miraculous healings and all this stuff. I I don't know, man. Job just has been on my mind. And I gotta tell you. So I've been through the Bible once, going through it again. Thank you, TLC. Shout out to Terry Lee Cobble. It's an amazing thing. If you haven't been on part of it, if you're listening, do it. It is mind blowing. Anyway, just treading through Job, like, ⁓ my gosh, this guy and his four friends, ⁓ my God, they're killing me. Like, but then at the end of the first chapter, he reckoned, you he's gone through all, he just jumps right in. All this happens. Kids, tornadoes, all your you know, robbers, all this. He sits and he's like, The Lord giveth and the Lord take it away. Blessed be the Lord. Right? And the thing that hits me is I've I just finished that book. I was in Job. How much God went through everything. He's like the behemoth. Do you have that kind of power? And it's like, I know I love I love it. I love in chapter 28 when he's like, Where were you when I did this? When I formed the world. Like, right? Where were you when I told the seas To stop right here. Yeah. Right? It's like, ⁓ man. I'm like, he told out the big guns in Job's just like there's no one like God. So that so that's when I go back. So that's when I go back to the end. We said, Blessed be the Lord. Right? It's all his, it's his plan. It doesn't matter what I do. I hear a lot of people, I don't know what the Lord wants me to do. What does the Lord want me to do? What does the Lord want me to do? You know, what's the will for my life? Second Thessalonians says, Love the Lord your God. With our heart, mind, and soul. Pray and be thankful. Right. And that's the part that gets missed, the thankful part. Yeah. ⁓ man. Yeah. I always look at, you know, I we were talking in our Bible study. It was, you know, we had a car battery. My wife's freaking out. She's panicking. She's crying. And all I can think is, thank you, God. It could be worse. Like it it was just a moment of wisdom of I was like, honey, we couldn't be paying rent. Our car could be broken down. I was like, it always could be worse. I said, I guess I'm having a different outlook on it could be worse. Yeah, man. Blessed be the Lord. Yeah, I mean it's all it I mean, it doesn't matter what I'm going through, what I'm he's good. ⁓ man. Yeah. And Shak, Shadrach, and Abendigo, even if he doesn't save us, he's still God. And it's like, golly. ⁓ yeah, guess what? I get to go to heaven. ⁓ I get to find out what the mercy meet song is all. Will I stand in your presence? Will I k I'm to my knees while fall? I'm ready, man. Yeah. Yeah. Ever we just we haven't been through all of ⁓ The Chosen. Right. We're just in chapter two. I mean the second episode. Literally every time I see someone hug Jesus, I cry, man. Like I just weep just watching the T V. 'Cause you get to do that one day. ⁓ I know. I know. It is so exciting. And I just I mean I just break down and I get emotional just thinking like, ⁓ I can't wait. It's like I can't wait to talk to him. I can't wait to eat with him. Like to me, heaven is a bonus. Jesus is that true treasure. Like it I I don't know. It's like the man that died for me, I want to go hang out with him. Yeah. Take all this. It's good. God, you can have it. It's yours. Yeah. Just give me him. And then, you know, it and Job at the end of it, so all this happens to him and everybody asks why. Well one He had to be tested. Of course, we knew what he was going to do. But also with that, they had to he had to suffer because you don't truly know what you have until you suffer. Right. That's one thing. And you don't learn things because trust me, suffering is how we learn. That's how we can become Jesus tells us in this life, you are going to have troubles. And suffering. What happens? You're going to have it, man. What happens for Job? Everything gets doubled. He can restore bless. Yeah, yeah. And he gets at more than what he had in his life. Blessed be the love. Blessed be the Lord, man. Told his friends, I'm not gonna accept your offerings or your pure or your prayer or whatever until Joe prays. And it was like he was mad at the friends, but he was like, No one's like Joe. You you should be like him. And he was like, I'm not gonna forgive you or take your offerings until Joe prays. And it was like the prayers of a righteous man. Yeah. He understood. He understood. And it's like you read about the friends and it was like they had this self-righteous of well, you're not ⁓ God's mad at you. You did this, and Job's like, I did nothing. You know, we were talking about it at a Bible study. Kobe kind of summed it up. He's saying, If you were good friends, which y'all are being crappy friends, you would have listened to me. I'm telling you, I'm innocent. Y'all keep standing on the fact of you did something wrong. ⁓ God's cursing you. No, he's not. I'm still alive. He didn't take my life. I'm I'm still here praising him. He must I must be doing something right. Exactly. So and endure. Just keep going. Like and he's gonna bless you. And you just wait. You don't know what's on the other side. Like you can't see it. there's a reason for it because if you could see it, you may not want to go down the path to get there. I just need to say one thing. I think God has been putting on my heart of I think you'd be in a great addition to this, Sean. Because this is one of the best episodes I think we've ever had. I mean, we've ⁓ we've shared emotion, Bible verse. I mean, we've kind of strayed from your testimony, but it was like we're to see and magnify how great God is and what he still continues to do, even thousands of year before, even thousands of years after, it's like we're living it. And it's like, I don't know. I just keep I keep saying I said it was gonna be epic, I didn't think it was gonna be this epic. And it's been amazing. I just mean you put three dudes together that love the Lord. You're gonna get good stuff. And a fourth guy y'all can't see that right over there. And you know who that dude's that dude's full of some wisdom. The fourth man, Jesus, you know he ⁓ the fourth man in the fire. ⁓ goodness. Yeah, that's what it makes me think of, man. And then ⁓ on the next episode episode, ⁓ we're gonna get into some fun stuff 'cause we're gonna have I think we have a testimony, it may be before the episode, but we're gonna get into some fun stuff with four ⁓ The fourth cup, ⁓ if you will. So it's you might want to be here for that one. That's gonna be good. It's gonna be I tell you, Revelation is really my weakness. Right. And we're talking about the fourth cup in Genesis. So look. I like some Genesis, man. Look. Revelation has always been Revelation nine, six is probably one of the scariest verses I've ever read. And what's crazy is I've showed it to people and they're like, How did I miss that? And it's like this was God's intervention of showing you. Yeah. Like I've read it. I'm on my fifth time reading the entire Bible and it's like I always go back to Revelation because I'm like, Have you read it? It's not cupcakes and rainbows. It's it's great for us. But the person that doesn't repent and it's like Revelation sixteen. Forget the government. Have you read that? The fire from heaven? That's God's version of global warming. I don't care what your version is. ⁓ yeah. That one frightens me. I read about it. I read I read Yeah, I read it about Elijah win some fire and a bunch of water and some things like that. It's pretty serious. Or whenever ⁓ Aaron or whenever Aaron's sons thought they could come into the come into the tabernacle drunk. What happened? I mean Yeah. Drop dead. You get humbled real quick in the Bible. And they got humbled in a different way. Uh-huh. And it that's what happens, man. So either humble or God's gonna humble. ⁓ It's good stuff. And and my wife was getting like Not on to me, but she's like, How is it that you guys have done so many episodes and you're still in the book of Genesis? I was like, Do you understand? Do you know how deep this do you know how deep the book of Genesis is? Do you know how deep the Bible is? Like it it'll take us forever to get through it. And that's have you gone to Romans at Cody? He will go through one verse and spend an hour and a half on it. Yeah. I love it. That's the thing. I love it. There's so many things. And it's it just gets better and better. So to her, she's like, I can't do it. I'm like, well, the rest of us, at least in this group. Yeah. ⁓ yeah. Love you guys. Yeah. Love you. Anyway. with that, Sean, thank you so much for joining us today. ⁓ yeah, it's it's always a blessing. I'm glad we can make it work. I'm glad we can make it work. My work is pretty weird and wild, so so and hey, it all works out for the glory of God, right? ⁓ so again. Yep. And we we thank you guys for listening, for watching. ⁓ next time. We're gonna be talking about ⁓ if we're not doing a testimony, we're gonna be talking about Abraham and Isaac and that again, fourth cup. That's gonna come in way at the end. So you gotta watch the whole thing to find out. ⁓ but in the meantime, guys, follow, share, subscribe, like the Followers Proxy. You can watch us on YouTube, you can listen to us on Apple Podcasts. ⁓ we've got a Facebook page if you wanna reach out to us, reach out to us. Speaking of reaching out, we are gonna challenge each one of you to a testimony and The courage that ⁓ Sean had today to come tell his, we challenge you to come tell yours because it's gonna resonate with somebody. And then we get to bounce ideas off you, listen to your story, learn more about you, because we love ya. ⁓ come see us the 7th of May. And if you're looking to get plugged into a church, this is the church to come to, at least in my opinion. ⁓ I'm sure there's great churches out there, but to me, there's no church like this church family. ⁓ we got two services, we got a nine a.m. and eleven fifteen a.m. ⁓ We also have a wana starting back pretty soon. It's gonna start when school starts back. There's a meal at five fifteen. So ⁓ if you don't know what to do, come here. You can have the meal too. It's not just for the kids, it's for the parents. So you guys can come. There's a Romans class, parents. Like he just said. Yeah. There's a Romans class. You learn all kinds of stuff. You can get plugged into the Bible as well while they're aware. ⁓ so deep. It the I wana starts at five forty five, ends at seven twenty. So you're back home by bedtime. You're welcome. Fed, everybody's had a good time. We have a marriage conference coming up. It's called the Built to Last Marriage Conference. ⁓ it starts September eleventh and it goes through the twelfth. You can sign up with a QR code last year. They had Duck Dynasty this year. We've got Shannon and Cindy O'Dell ⁓ and they do the romance uncensored conference. ⁓ so it's it's always good.
