Bryan Alan White: Welcome back. This is the Father's Proxy, where we are, Pro XY. We're your host. I'm Brian. This is Jamie Z. Last week we talked about we went a little over the death of Sarah briefly. There wasn't a lot there, but it was important. we talked about the purchase of the cave of Macpelah, and how it was not just a burial site, it was a symbol of faith, heritage, divine promise. It was serving as a reminder of the covenant between God and Abraham's descendants. Which is why it was so important. we also talked about some recent things going on, the Lindsey Clancy trials, that federal judge in Wisconsin with the AI crap that he agreed to, which is nonsense. We touched on how abortion is murder. That's what it is. There's no getting around it. Regardless of what mental issues you may be going through, drugs, alcohol, whatever that is, if you commit a sin, there's gonna be consequences for that sin. And it doesn't excuse you of that. you should have to deal with the consequences. And taking an innocent life is never never okay. And ever. The one shining silver light that we talked about was the grace of God. and that no matter what you do, and we'll say it once, we'll say it a thousand times, you cannot outsend his grace. it's God's grace that gets us through things, he can save us. And it's a come as you are, like even if you've got sin in your life. He'll meet you where you're at, and with that, you give your life to him and he'll clean up all that sin for you. Now you'll deal with the consequences still. I mean, there may be earthly consequences, can't get rid of that. But he can get rid of that sin for you and give you eternal salvation. So that's why we do I always say, come as you are, just don't stay as you are. Boom. That's what repentance. Gotcha, buddy. Hey, thank you. The other thing that we had this last week was the Romance Uncensored Conference. Fire. Wow. Was that not? Awesome, man. It was Shannon Odell, he got up and spoke and it was powerful. He's the pastor of brand new church over in Farmington, Arkansas, I believe. Brand new. Yeah. And it's it's it was awesome. So for married couples, we highly recommend you go into that. I mean, built to last as the conference that we have here in Bonham. And he was he does the romance uncensored and it was it was I love that everything he said, he always backed it up with scripture. Yep. Everything. And that's you know that it's the right path. If you're backing it up with stri scripture in context, by the way, it wasn't out of context. It was not just a few words. He was backing it up within the context of the scripture. So phenomenal. He was funny. He was funny. Now, my wife felt like it was more geared towards men, but I kind of disagree with her. I think it was for both. she just felt like it was more for men. Hey, it was, but It wasn't. There was he he spoke a lot on how men should treat their wives. And a lot of it was we need to really date our wives and we need to put her and make it he kept saying it was the weaker vessel, but that's the more valuable. It's not saying that she was less than, it's saying that she's more valuable and we should treat her as such. And we should we should give everything in a sacrificial love for our wife first. So God first, then her wife. And he even included children. I mean, he was talking about the kids. He literally was based on the family, and that's what I loved about it. And you could tell evidently he has a strong marriage. yeah. He wasn't just acting or doing this for money or a show. No, he was he knew what he was doing and he just gave it raw and rugged. And from what Cody told me was it was G rate. I wanted I wanna see the The uncensored Shannon because the one I got was hilarious. But the way he put it was, that was the G rated version. Yeah. Apparently there's there's a lot more to it. one thing my wife did say, which I agreed with her on this, is she wished that Cindy, his wife, would have got up and spoke. That's what we were hoping too. Cause I would I wanted to see both sides, you know. So any no less, it was it was a phenomenal. If you didn't go, you missed out. for those of you do that went, you got to be there. It was fun. you may notice we have a special guest today. And this is Chris Nelson. He is the brother of our pastor, lead pastor here at Seventh Domain Baptist Church, Cody Nelson. and Chris has I've been hounding him and finally he's accepted the challenge to share his testimony. We're so excited to hear from you today, Chris. Thank you for being here. So, Chris, where are you? I mean, we've had Cody's story before, but are you are you guys originally from here. Like let's let's start from the beginning. All right. Yeah. We're both born right here in Bonham, Texas. Both of those graduates of Bonham. kinda I tried to run away from home a little bit right after I graduated from high school and found out real quick Fannon County is my home and that is exactly where I want to be. Amen. Are you married? You got any kids, grandkids? Married to Christy Nelson. we've been married for thirty years. Got two daughters, Kelsey and Corey McMorris as my son in law. And then I've got four grandchildren. And then my youngest daughter is Kaylee Nelson and wouldn't trade for any of Good, good. So how long have you been involved with the Seventh of Maine Baptist Church? When did you get involved with it? I would say about three or four years ago we we come here and kinda just trying to sneak in the back door more than anything because Christy and I were at a point in our own lives on ministry that we wasn't sure where we wanted to be in church. And one of the big things is I necessarily I didn't want to come to Seventh in Maine because that's where my brother's preaching. Right. And it was kind of a funny story that when we the first Sunday we come here, a lady asked us, was introducing ourselves and asking us who we are, and I said, I'm Chris Nelson, my wife Christy. Well, Nelson Do you know our pastor? Said, Yes, ma'am, I do. And I'm not a big fan of it. What? And just really shocked her and threw her off. And and I said, Yes, ma'am, that's my little brother and I love him to death. I wouldn't trade for you. You gotta love the brothers. You don't have to like them though. That's right. and then what do you do for work? I'm retired TDC canine handler. I was a tracking dog sergeant there for twenty years. now work at the Bulldark Lake out here. How you liking it? I love it. Yeah, yes. so when did you actually give your life to Jesus? As a child, as a young child, I felt God calling me in the early eighties, like eighty one, eighty two, at a Jim and Kelly Walsh revival. They were local evangelists and they were coming around and I f I walked down the did an altar call, thought God's touching my heart, what I do and I felt at that time that I truly gave my life over to God. And my life went on through h high school, graduation, and I was always drawn back into children, student ministries, always wanted to drag kids. I I grew up in Boy Scouts. So I actually gave my life to Christ in May of twenty one. And at that point in time I had already had my wife Christy and I were already married at that time. We've already got two beautiful baby daughters and and I just realized something's missing here and I've got I've been in and out of student ministry for the last thirty years, ever since Christy and I've gotten married. But what really leaned on my heart was Before after right after I graduated in ninety two from here in Bonham, I went to work at a YMCA camp in Trinity, Texas, working with troubled youth out of Houston, Texas. And I like that was that's a life changer for this little old country boy from Bonham to go to work with inner city Houston kids. Like I don't have a clue. That's night and day. The night and day difference. But I still was drawn to those students. I was still drawn to trying to help them see what goes on in a country boy's life. I was at the point that I was comfortable leading Bible studies and kinda sharing, but I was really to the point that do I honestly believe this myself? So had a come to Jesus meeting with myself and I sat down with my wife one day and we talked and then a good friend of ours at the time, Jimmy McChrystal went and talked to him and he led me to Christ and within just a few weeks a young pastor at the time baptized me, my brother mm and been chasing God ever wherever he wants me to go from then. That so you got baptized by Cody. Yes. That's pretty cool, man. That's wow. That's a that's a blessing. Yes. I'd say that. So let's walk through I mean we kind of touched base on the early years. Walk us through what was going on then and you know things that happened in your life. Okay. Tell us tell us more. All right. like I said, we're born and raised right here. We went to school here in Bonham. l lived out north of town. y you've heard Cody mention a hundred times from the pulpit he had a drug program. He's not lying, we had a drug problem. Every time the doors was open on church, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Tuesday night visitation, so on so forth, we were at church. You were drugged to church. I were drugged to church by my mom and very much so by the ear. Very very often. I can imagine. And so but I didn't fight it. that's where I I knew I needed to be, or you know, thought I needed to be, 'cause that's the way I was born and raised. Godly mom and dad, godly grandparents, church is where you belonged. That's where you need to be. And so really didn't wasn't nothing to fight there. that's just where we belong. Yeah. And so grew up scouting, in the Boy Scouts, I really inspirational to I think where I am today as a leader in my household, in my workplace, you know, I think it helped me to stand my own ground, hold my own shoulders up and and lead where I need to lead. But never really got interested in sports and stuff in school. I was more that ag kid. I I was more interested in chasing cows and farming and stuff and the that's kind of yeah the agriculture side of life. But what about rodeo? yeah, I did a little bit of a of athletics. I mean rodeo. That's it's the same thing. It's just a little bit different. There's dirt in an arena versus a you know a court. So it's the same thing. But I mean there's they are athletes. I don't care who you are, if you go to rodeo you think you can get on a bowl or something like that. You better you better I it it is tougher than it looks. yeah, it it didn't just and of course it came from working. You know, that's what they that's why the rodeo started is because they worked cows and did this stuff. It's like, hey, how bet I'm better than you? I bet I'm better than you. And that's that's kind of how it started. Yeah. One ranch competing another against another. Exactly. So anyway, continue on. You were went through school, no really tried to be the quiet kid. I I didn't really step out. I didn't you like I said, didn't Excel in sports like Cody did. I just kind of I'm the in the background type person and that's the way I like it. I was just about to get to that. I've admired you and we've always we've had conversations before. You're very humble. What led to that? Because we've had this conversation of you knew about in your teenage years, you knew Cody was gonna be a pastor. Yes. What gave you the heart of I'll help, I'll serve, but I don't want any credit for it? And I admire that because I think it goes back to my dad and my grandfather's because like I said, we were drugged to church. And it didn't matter if if there was anything going on at church, if my dad had seen a a light bulb and was out or or the g lawn kneading mode or whatever, he said, Hey, after you get out of school this afternoon, go get that mower and go get that yard motor or meet me at the church and when I get off work, we're gonna change some light bulbs or change a sign out in front of the church, whatever the case may be. And I think that's honestly where it built my character was to work in the backgrounds. Give God the glory of everything that goes on in my life in the background. I don't want I don't need a banner or anything saying Chris Nelson did this. I don't want that. I I don't look for that. I would love I would like the patio that's out back behind the church here. Yeah, it got built. That's all we need to know is it it got built. And to expand on that, it was a challenge to get him on here because he is so humble and he doesn't want to talk about himself, but he does it. He's telling his story because it may reach some of you. So that's why he's doing it. It's for God's glory. but yes, well so we we did have to chase him down a little bit. Yeah. but we're very happy to have you here. So yeah. As a person that has struggled with recognition. That's why I admire it from you is because you've I've learned to we want recognition from God, but you don't want your name in there. And it's like you want his name. So I've always admired that and love that about you. So it's like I look to you for that. And we've always had really good conversation in chemistry. So I just had to throw that out there. Because it's humility is such an amazing trait and fruit of the spirit. So it's like I admire you for that and I will always praise you for that. But it's like you always deflect that and say, I give it to God. So I I love that about you. And Jesus was humble and he was a servant. And I think we got an example right here of a humble servant. So anyway, so tell us more about as you were, you know, ending high school and then after that high school, like what transpired. I really think all through my childhood was more idle to. because I was just content to be. I was content to be where I was at. I was content to I was just content. I I really was. I nothing really just in my childhood just stands out to me in my life. But got out of school. Like I said, I graduated in ninety two. The very next day I'm packing up and moving to Trinity, Texas, where I worked at that YMCA camp. Worked there off and on for two years. come back home and one of the first things my dad and I felt God calling me in to do something. Something's missing in my life, but I need to do something. And then as soon as I moved back home, one of the first things my dad told me was, get your life on track, get involved in the church. And that hit me hard because I knew everything I needed to know. I knew how to I know I sing all the right hymnals. I can be at church when I need to be. I I'm I'm everywhere that I know that God wants me to be. But I'm still not giving it to him. So then all of a sudden in late ninety four, November of ninety four, cute little freckle faced girl walks into my Sunday school. When did you meet Miss Nelson? November ninety four, yeah. November ninety four, cute little freckle faced girl walks into our singles Sunday school class at Boyd and within just a few weeks I knew I can't do life without this girl. And then we got married just seven months later in June. And like I said, we've been together now for thirty years. Praise Christ. And trials, yes. it it's tough to learn to live with somebody, but Now we're kind of to the point of life that hey, sometime I gotta aggravate her just to get a stir out of her. So You gotta poke the bear every now and then we've made it through this button too. Well it's pretty well like Pastor Shannon this said this weekend. Sometimes you just gotta argue to make up. Yeah. And very much so. And and I think after stressed. yeah, yeah, no doubt. No doubt. But I have really tried to live my life by Matthew six thirty three. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Whatever I do in life, I want to seek God for it. And and I want to give him the glory for it. And like I said, I could care less if my name's ever on a banner anywhere. And I don't need that reading. There's only one place that you want your name read. That's right in the end. Book of life. Scroll, book of life. There you go. It's almost like the the verse that sticks out to me with you is well done, good and faithful servant. And I I don't remember right off the top of my head, but I also love or stand the gap. Yeah. And I actually just mentioned that here just the other day. stand the gap and let me stand in the gap for you. I'll pray for you. I'll I'll I'll help you. I'll serve you. I wanna stand there. That makes me think of Isaiah and send me. Here I am, here I am. Lord, send me. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. We got married in ninety five. Started having her family, still knew that God was tugging at me, wanted me. Thought, God, I'm here. I'm standing right here. What else do you want from me? And finally in like I said, in May of two thousand I finally decided, Okay, God, I'm tired of putting you in my back pocket. Where do you want me? What do you want me to do? He said, I want you in student ministry. And I have been trying to serve ever since then. Yeah. Raising the next generation. Yes. So we started in children's ministry, nurser kinda like every n young couple does with kids. We start in the children's ministry. We start in the nursery. we started teaching Sunday school and that's right in give b right there before May, when I accepted God is when I really started feeling the call. I You can't be teaching a class if you're not believing this stuff. Mm-hmm. If y if you're not following me, you're not giving in to me, you can't be teaching this stuff. I'll send you to hell. If you don't give it up, if you don't follow through with what you're trying to teach. And that's pretty well the I mentioned a guy that I talked to, Jimmy McChrystal, a good friend of mine at the time, and that's pretty well he put it out flat. Chris, if you don't give in to God and you don't follow God, you will go to hell. I don't care how good you are, how good a person you are, you will go to hell. I'm like, ha ha That ain't gonna work for me. That's not gonna work for me. And so we started in student ministry and then there at Boyd, in and out of student ministry, for several years and then we got a call to be student ministers at New Zion Baptist Church. Work there for ten years, leading the youth there, stepped up from children to youth there, and then just felt God call me. You know, yeah. I think that I'm closing this chapter on your life. Let's look at a new chapter. Yeah. And so we moved like I said, beginning, we looked all over Fanning County for a church to go to and I'm looking for anyone other than anyone but the seventh in Maine. And God's like, No, sir. Yeah. I and Christy and I did, we actually look, we laid out all the churches, and I have always tried to teach my girls, you have to go to church in your communities. it's it is hard to to have a home here and travel to a church, you know, 70, 80 miles away and be active in that church. If you're not active in your home church, you start your ministry there and then you build out from there. And so Seventh and Maine just checked all the boxes. They they had something for my grandkids, they had something for my daughters growing up. My w one of my daughters has gone through a divorce and and she's single mom trying to raise a little boy. They there there's just the community here reaches the entire community. Mm-hmm. Now how did it feel? I know your girls and they're amazing. How did it feel seeing your daughter Kelsey sing up in worship? I cried like a baby. I did. This Sunday, our worship this past Sunday was to me on fire. And I know we have sang that those songs. We have all of us have sang them over and over and over and over, but this time it hit different. This time it hit different. I seen her up there praising God and and just you could truly tell she was in worship. And of course, Sean had given his testimony or or a little bit of his testimony about the marriage coun conference this weekend and and just to me this Sunday just was emotional all around. And right in the middle heavily present. And you felt it. Leaning on us and and right in the middle of and I and this is not me. Right in the middle of it, I feel God just slapped me upside the back of the head and said, Hey Your brother needs prayer. You mentioned pray f pray for the leaders. Yes. Cause they they're held to such a higher standard than we are. Yes. And to think that Cody is f the shepherd of our flock. They're under attack. yeah. And you think as as we're under attack as just a I'm a believer. I I try to step up and lead my family. I try to step up and lead in my church. as I see fit. Like I said, in the background, he's out front. He's got a bigger target painted on him than He's on the front line. Yes. And he's in a he's on a glass stool with in a glass church and a lot of rocks are being thrown. And that's all of our elders, all of our leaders. John R. Rice said, The world never burned a casual Christian at the stake. Yeah. So I mean obviously our leaders are not casual Christians. They are right there on the front lines. And everybody's watching them as an example. And if they fall in front of anyone else, like they're We're there to catch That's our job. Right. And it's you know, they they need the prayer so they don't fall 'cause I mean, I don't care who you are, you're human. Temptations are out there. Things happen. And if you're not with God, you ain't gonna survive. Right. And that's the problem. Well and there again we stand in that gap. And and that's us. I mean, they're our they're our shepherds, they're our leaders, but we still pray over them, we still we still support them, serve them. And to make them better. Well, and they may be they're they're like the head sheep though. I mean, he the shepherd is Jesus. Right, true. So he's the real shepherd, but he's the head sheep going, Hey, follow this sheep to that shepherd, you know. so absolutely. and I I mean I know 'cause and Chris is in the back with me. He helps with the sound, thank God, because we needed him. 'Cause me trying to do that and other things didn't work very well. But I know when I looked and I saw you go up. And pray for him and staying there with your hands raised. I'm like, that's it's it's affecting me and everybody else 'cause I'm seeing you do that and it makes me like that's a leader in this church. That's that's a leader right there. That right there is what we need and every man in the church needs to do that. I saw it and was like, Man, that makes me so excited to see I can say this from where I was sitting. He needed. And it it I could just read it on his face of I need this. And then even he got a little emotional too. You could tell God was working on his heart just as well you know during the service. And and I mean how many services have you attended of Cody's? I couldn't count thousands probably. And he's that just shows you that the Holy Spirit's always working. Yeah. I mean he's always there. He will never leave us, no matter what. That's the it's so Phenomenal, man. I love to hear it and I love to see it because I was part of I mean I wasn't even part of it, but I'm part of it. So I get to watch you and see others looking over and going, Okay, I need to be like him. And like and that's the thing. It's like, man, that like 'cause you and the other thing is your daughters see that. Your grandkids see that and they see that example and they go, Okay, that's the way we're supposed to do it. Right. And so that's man, it it hit it touched me. So I appreciate you doing that. Speaking of grandkids, I was gonna touch on and I know this is gonna hit you. can you reflect on the time that your family was really that your your family was really attacked? And this is get ready because it's not gonna be a triad. man. And I'm sorry if I hit anything. It's just one of those like you your kids and your grandkids mean a lot, especially Cohen, because Cody, Cohen, Case, and Cody, I s I see them in Iwana. And I love because Cohen sang me a happy birthday. And that was like my highlight. And and it just meant a lot because I don't know y'all that well, but it was that little gesture that it it made my day. And to know I have an influence on a child's life. It's amazing. yeah, absolutely. And and like I said, that's my whole character, I guess, is why I like the background. I would rather influence my grandchildren. I'm w I'm gonna start with my wife and work to my daughters and through my grandchildren. Of course, now I'm to the point that I've got the grandchildren, the daughters are kinda kicked to the curb, I'm more worried about the The grand, you know. Yeah. But I mean But you see that like we talked about before, that ripple effect. yes. And it starts with us men as leaders of the household, leaders in the church. and we see that in the Titus ten that we were going through. that's where you can find where he's talking about that. But it starts we've got to have leaders in the church and then we gotta lead our families and we gotta bring more to the church and keep going and going and going and going. So tell us tell us about that terrible day. Right, right now I don't recall the actual date, but just three or four months ago, we were all at Kelsey and Corey's house and it was for one of the kids' birthday and we're all sitting there eating pizza and all the kids were sitting on the back patio eating pizza and I had just turned around myself and walked in. Corey was getting pizza more pizza for the kids. I mean just a split second. And this is the first time the kids have got to go swimming this year in their pool. their dad worked hard to get it all cleaned up and beautiful pool. Beautiful. He worked hard to get it all clean. This is the first time they get in it for I I think it's the first time they've got in it for the summer. Anyway, Corey's fixing pizza and he turns round and luckily he's standing in the exact spot that he needed to be because he could look over into their above ground swimming pool from inside the house and There's Cohen just face down, floating. He runs out there, dives in, hands and I'm right behind him, he hands him up to me and Corey, I am I praise God that he fell into paramedic mode, not panic dad mode. Yeah. And round C PR, he's got his little boy back to breathing, back to crying, everybody's crying. Yeah. I mean it was tough. Yeah. My wife caught me. I have chased felons through my previous career in the tracking dog program. I've chased felons through the woods and in the dark and I've never been as scared as I was in that instance in my life. And and just it rattled me. And and I really think that that was just another push that God used because y'all y'all know that I like to put Comments on Facebook and and thoughts from the feed truck, I call that's just hashtag. Read it. Cause they're good. They're always good. And it always points back to scripture. I think that that was just another push to God to say, open your eyes. I've got this whole world. I've done this for years, but I've been sporadic with it. But ever since then I have tried to make a point, Maybe two or three a week, maybe one a week, but for sure I'm I'm trying to once a week I'm gonna s share what God's done in my life in my day. And just and I kinda did it this Sunday with with God calling me and pushing me to and he did. He flat out pushed me out of that sound boot. And the best part is you didn't have to say a word. I mean, nobody else had to hear a word and all you had to do is walk up there. And just listen to what God told you to do and do it. Yeah, because it was it was all out pushed. I there wasn't no, hey, you need to go check on your brother, you need to go pray over your brother and the elders of the church. He's like, No, slap me upside the back. I mean it I felt that actual push like, go. Okay, God. And I don't know what I'm gonna do, God, but here we go. That's the power of the Holy Spirit. And it's something that's simple as if You know, and that's what you needed. And I would need the same thing 'cause I'm telling you, you gotta there's a thick skull. Yeah. and you gotta you gotta hit it pretty good sometimes. But he will and he'll hit you right in the heart and go, Go. Like you ain't you this is something you gotta do. If you're gonna be with me, you gotta go do this. Ever since I've kind of started really putting my faith out there and just letting people see my faith. Hey, I'm not a preacher. I have to this day at this very moment in my life, God has not called Chris Nelson to be a preacher, but I have been called to step in for a preacher and at his church and and just I'm nervous as I can do. I'm scared. Out I'm out of my bubble wrapped little life. I just got hit with, you know, you remind me of you're Aaron. You're the backup for Moses. Like no matter what you've been called, you're right there. yeah. Just don't make those idols, okay? Yeah. Minus the idols. Don't make that golden calf. Yeah. Don't make Don't make you there for the backup, not for the sin offerings. In a way, we're all called to be preachers. Now it doesn't mean that you get up there and from the pulpit every Sunday and you preach like Cody does with the passion that he has. Not all of us are called to do that, but we're all called to tell our story. We're all called to try and bring folks to Jesus. That's the whole point of what we're called to do. And it doesn't mean that it always has to be words. Like I said, it can just be as simple as walking down to the front of the church, putting your hands up and praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I mean, that right there, you you don't know who's watching and who it's affecting. Cause again, it affected me and I'm back there doing video and I can see you, and I'm like, I you don't know how bad. I want to just take that camera. If I could get it over to where you were at, I was about to zoom in. Like, I'm sorry, worship team. We're on Chris Nelson right now. No, no, no. That's not me. I d I did it for you. I didn't but I was my eyes were on you, but But I couldn't even have told you what song I mean, I'd already been through the first service and I'd already felt God, hey, there's an unsettling here. Well what's going on? God, what's going on? I'd already felt that in the first service. And then we went through Sunday school and then we got into the second service and I honestly couldn't tell you what song we were in until somebody made a comment that it was during the blessing when when you're singing those praises over people, you're singing those blessings over people. I'm like, not a clue. Yeah. Well did not register. That's what the Holy Spirit does. Like he knows and he's gonna do it when it's called to do it and he did it and it's like, man. It's almost like don't worry about what to say or do, the Holy Spirit will lead and he took lead. Yeah. And he'd have to because I that is not me. That's out of my comfort zone. I I guess I kinda fall back to the old Baptist to raise your hands in church and you better pray. You better not. it's just you might as well get rid of them cards while you're trying to start thinking about playing cards and But that's the thing, and and some of it is like we gotta get past those norms of what they think a Baptist is and go, Look, we're following Jesus. I don't care if you're Methodist, I don't care if you're Baptist or Pentecostal or whatever it is. If you're following Jesus, that's what matters. That's what matters at Seventh and Maine Baptist Church. Even though it may be called a Baptist church, we're following Jesus. that's just the name. We we're believers in Christ and that's where we are. Exactly. And as long as you're Bible led, that's what matters. But I will say that through Cohen's episode, the the drowning there and Corey coming, I've seen him step up. He recently got baptized and said he recently got baptized and he wants to be the leader. He he said that he has opened his eyes to realize that it's not my wife's job to lead. And I'm very proud of my daughter that she she has done that for the years up, you know, and she's still a strong leader. and Kaylee as well. Both my girls. I'm very proud of both of both of are leaders in their little families. And but to see Corey step up and to see him lead his family and make sure they're at church where they need to be and to sit there and talk with them and and have those conversations with his little kids. That's just Praise God. I feel like this would open up the door to have him on and share his testimony. Because you told me he has a really good testimony. He does have a lot of Corey. Yeah. I know you're listening. Challenge. So the other thing that that makes me think of is we're not called to be passive as men. We're not called to be isolated or passive. And those two things, isolation and passivity, and it talks about it in the Titus ten, that book, but those two things will kill you. And you see it, and we've talked about it with Adam, we talked about on the podcast, but Adam passively letting his wife lead is what caused all this sin to happen. And so we see that that's bad, not good. So for him to step up and lead his family is I mean, that's a blessing from God. Truly remarkable. Yeah. And I know the like with what you've said and what you're talking about with leading for me, and I'll set it and I'll say it again like if Christianity becomes illegal. I want there to be enough evidence against me for you to convict me ten times over. or seventy times seven, if you will. convict me because I'm like I'm not giving this up. I'm guilty. I'm guilty of sin of all the things I've done, but I'm telling you right now, I am going to follow Jesus. That's it. To the point of death. Yeah. That's how I see it. Absolutely. So, Chris, thank you so much for being on. we really appreciate you sharing your story and You know, you don't know who it's going to affect. I call them Matt Carriers because they would carry me to Christ, even if something happened. I thank you so much for that because I'm I feel totally blessed to have just such an amazing friends in my life and it's all due to church and me getting back into your word and in just your works.
