robert muscari: Dairy Queen was another good place to hang out in the summer. Yeah. Well always be looking for fights there, it seemed. At one point there was Jox versus the hippies at one point in high school. You remember that phase? ⁓ yeah, I do. Yeah. That was a hippie. Who owned did did somebody named Babbitt own the ⁓ the Dairy Queen in Emerson there? Yeah, well that was his nickname. Yeah, and Plantamura. ⁓ tell us Babbitt's real name. Yeah, brother. I just know his batteries. He used to have a brother who used to take seven hits of acid at a time. Not good. No. Robert Rossi owned it for ⁓ I forget. My my brother and his friends went on the dairy clean on Route seventeen and they went into the bathroom, took off all their clothes, put it under arm, walked through the dining room, got in the car. There was a lot of that at one point. There was a lot of that. Sometimes, thank God no cell phones when we were in high school. ⁓ yeah, good. People don't do things like streaking anymore, you know? No. My last my last night at Charlie Brown's We I went streaking with like forty of us. ⁓ my god. Mothers, daughters, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend. We were running all up and down by Route 46 out there in Fairfield. And then this woman, this woman, Madeline, she was a pretty woman, probably forty five years old. She fell down and did a header and she got all scraped from head to toe. ⁓ Is there a word for slow streaking? Because I can take off my clothes, but I'm not streaking. I'm not lumbering. But I said to her, how are you gonna explain this to your husband? She goes, I have no idea. So 'cause she didn't rip her stockings or a skirt or anything, just her. It was pretty funny. But that was my last night. I said, Come on, let's do it. Everybody jumped up. We were in the restaurant. It was closed. Everybody jumped. Who came up with that idea? Me. ⁓ Jesus. And you're shocked. We all we all got up. We did there's like there had to be 40 of us. And ⁓ like it was there was couples and pair a mother and a daughter were there. So it was funny. And we're running we were in a cemetery and we're running down right Route 46. It was fun. You don't get forty people together to agree to anything these days. Well, it's my it was my last it was my last day. So I I was there for a long time. A lot of people came. It might have been 30. All I'm saying is it wasn't 10, it was a lot of people. I've streaked, yeah. ⁓ where did you streak? ⁓ Foley's in ⁓ by her the college. Yeah. That was an easy street though. You're you know, you're in and out in like yeah, five seconds. Well, I really missed your cottage up there. That place was that was a nice little place. What's that? When I lived in Chappaqua. ⁓ that cot did that cottage have a glas ⁓ grass roof? A grass ⁓ thatched roof? No. It looked like it should have, but it yeah. I I have a ⁓ I was there once and I saw Clinton lives right down the road now, right? Right, yeah. We had a dirt road in front of us. Down that road now. My cousin lived down there too. I just remember this really cool house that you and Kate lived in. I saw a picture of you standing in front of it. I was like, ⁓ I remember that place. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was a it was a pool house actually. Okay. That was that was a cool place. That was a cool place. The only thing about that is it had mice. You know, we get You get up in the morning, you set up trap, you come back and the trap is gone. Yeah, I get a couple of mice. My house is built in nineteen twelve. And as soon as it gets cold, I think the insulation was basically newspaper. That's why I just bought a brand new house. And I'm like, Thank God. My last house needed a roof, it needed air conditioning, needed heat. I said to my wife, I don't I I go I want this to outlast me. So We got a we bought a new one and the builder here double the warranty. So I'm like, All right, we'll take it.
