Musk: I have no idea. kevin mullins: Yeah, check it out. you don't have to do part B because you have you have a viable in coverage. Musk: I I'm she's she's great that's what she does for a living, so I'm sure she's got it covered. kevin mullins: I I just I I I'm just feeling something in my pocket here and and I I went sh I went I went Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: shooting with my son Ryan yesterday and this this was in my pocket. Nine millimeter. but baz: Make sure you wipe off the fingerprints. So they get you, the fingerprints. kevin mullins: Pete Pete then you since you're on since you're on Social Security and Medicare, did you get the ninety dollar thing in direct baz: no, I heard other people have. I I d you know, I have to wait for my bank statement to say. I don't know yet. kevin mullins: Yeah. I do you can check it. It's it's a direct deposit. baz: Yeah, that's why I gotta I gotta wait. Musk: What's that really? baz: I gotta wait and see. I hope so. kevin mullins: Yeah, I I've just checked just check. Yeah, ninety bucks. It helps. baz: Still waiting for the Musk: What is that? baz: other five thousand. The other five thousand and the other two thousand we're supposed to get kevin mullins: Yeah, well that he didn't have any control over the ninety. baz: Yeah. You don't mind, I'm I'm eating my breakfast. kevin mullins: So what's happening? What's happening, fellas? baz: So I had to wake up early today to bring my car to get it fixed. Another eight hundred dollar job, tie rods. Musk: my god. kevin mullins: yeah? baz: But you know it's like I couldn't get in touch with my sister to pick me up from the place and drop me home. So like all that long I'm like, holy shit I'm gonna have to walk a mile. Holy shit. I was very upset. kevin mullins: Beautiful day you're for a good walk. baz: It is, but you know what? It's like nine o'clock in the morning. I am just a stiff bitch. I am an arthritic piece of shit. And how Musk: Either. baz: it's it's like it's in Emerson and you know the the the you know, you go down to where Old Hook Road crosses kinder communicate, like having a walk back up that hill, I would have died halfway up the hill. kevin mullins: Well stu you stop by Kevin Egan's and have some misery with him and then and then continue baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: on. baz: Well I never see him around anywhere. Then again kevin mullins: Ha ha. baz: I don't leave Westwood. Musk: Kevin Egan live. baz: He lives right on the Emerson Westwood border there, across Musk: Really? baz: from the cemetery. kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah. Over that way there. Musk: really? Wow. kevin mullins: Yeah. Yeah, he's in an apartment over there. Musk: You guys saw the video I did about us being in the top fifty? kevin mullins: Yeah, what was that baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: about? Musk: So we actually were picked one of the SEO companies picked us in the top fifty of the forty plus podcasts across the country. So kevin mullins: Really? Musk: that's pretty cool. baz: Yeah. Musk: we also got picked up yesterday by a national radio station. It's it's an internet radio station out of Florida. they do they're national and they're international. So that's gonna be pretty cool. We're gonna be doing he's actually gonna join us for a show, the guy who runs the whole operation. baz: Who who's today? Who's today again? Anybody? We got a guess? Okay. Musk: Nobody for today. Nobody for today. We had the the ladies were supposed to be on. we were supposed to have the lobsters from Mars on the other day, but nobody showed up. So it was Monday, but I guess you know the schedule got mixed up. So kevin mullins: Yeah, I didn't even know we were doing that on Monday. I thought I thought the only Monday was the the November ninth thing. Musk: Okay, well we're I'll send you a schedule for going forward. We're actually the only two spots we have open right now are December second and the seventh. kevin mullins: Okay. Musk: So I I just wanted to see if you guys had any questions. Things are moving along really. I mean, we're getting a lot of attention. You know, we're on five stations now. That's pretty cool. we gotta be consistent in making sure they get feeds every week. So that's gonna be one of the goals of mine. kevin mullins: Mm-hmm. What what happened with what happened with the ladies that you erased? Were you able to reclaim it? Musk: we're we're doing them again. I forget. baz: Mm-hmm. kevin mullins: So you weren't able to reclaim it? Musk: I think we're squeezing them in on the second, November second, which is a Monday. th they're gonna be able to do it. kevin mullins: All right. But you weren't able to you baz: Didn't kevin mullins: weren't able to get get that thing back, no? Musk: I I I I totally screwed that up. And you know how easy it is? It's it's one button. I mean kevin mullins: Yeah. Well my wife my wife and I don't know it how this works with with doing what you do, and she says, What's the matter with him? Why doesn't he just save it and then edit it? Musk: I yeah. Well I was in the process of doing that. and I I forgot to save it to the computer. I I just I totally you know, some days I'm doing so much, Kevin. Yeah, some days kevin mullins: Yeah, save it first before you do anything. Like like I know like I know what I'm talking about. baz: Yeah. Musk: I'm just doing a lot and it's like, you know, all over the place. By the way, we sold a couple of T shirts and it was baz: Yeah. Musk: from we can we can thank Carl Zakella. And his comments on Facebook. kevin mullins: really? Wow it is a name. baz: Wow. kevin mullins: It's a name. baz: I'd see his brother on the internet, I never see him. Musk: Yeah, yeah. kevin mullins: How about Hal Simon? Musk: yeah yeah. How similar? Wow. baz: How Simon, holy shit. How about John Caputo? John Caputo. Musk: John Kapoo I used to work out with him. Just go over his house and work out. baz: He had some big arms that guy. Yeah, he was he was strong. Musk: my god, he was a he was a stud. I actually knew him in Pennsylvania. He ran a gym in out on the main line in Pennsylvania when I was living out there. that was freaking ages ago. kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Musk: so I wanted to see if you guys have any questions. kevin mullins: maybe I misunderstood the the the email about the radio station thing you were saying something about three times a week? Musk: Yeah, they're gonna put us on three times a week. We're gonna have a Monday, Wednesday, Friday show. they're a rock station. they do a lot of rock and roll. no, no, no, no, no, no. They're just kevin mullins: But I mean we have to we have to do we have to do it on there three times a week. Musk: gonna use our our podcast three times a week. We we kevin mullins: okay. Okay. Musk: ha we have one station that uses it three times a week already. kevin mullins: Really. Musk: yeah. So that's pretty cool. and kevin mullins: Why don't you are they internet? Musk: I gotta tell you guys, our numbers are are are growing every day. It's amazing. we did I did a LinkedIn post and we got we're up to I know, got sixty seven hundred views or something baz: What? Musk: as be in two days. So yeah our our numbers are doing well. kevin mullins: Better you than me, I haven't got a clue what what any of that stuff means. Musk: I know, I know. You know what it really means? Okay, like the recognition we just got for the top you know fifty was that's all SEO, that's all AI stuff. So the AI, the chat bots, the clauds, the Geminis, baz: Mm-hmm. Musk: the they're finding us on the internet. baz: You mean I can make myself look better with AI and I'm and I'm not? kevin mullins: Pete, you just peep. Musk: I could do that. I could do that. baz: Why don't we all become cartoon kevin mullins: Okay, that's it. baz: characters? We'll become avatars Musk: I thought you looked pretty good in the commercial. baz: of ourselves. Musk: Yeah. I got kevin mullins: Pi that thing that you sent the other that the thing you sent the other day with you with with the guy that looked like you talking, that was pretty funny. That was baz: That was Pete Bounders all that. Musk: Yeah. You can do that easily. It's pretty kevin mullins: What's it? baz: Yeah, I I am well beyond my capacity. kevin mullins: Yeah, you could do it easily. You could do it easily. Musk: Nah. Yeah, yeah. It's it's it's really not that hard. kevin mullins: I can climb in my tree stand at five thirty in the morning. Yesterday morning I'm walking into the woods, right? I got I got all my hunting stuff on. I got my hat and I got my light up here. And I walk in and there's these these bushes, they're about maybe six, seven feet tall, and they got little I think they're called Jerusalem bushes. They got these little tiny red berries on them. And the bear Musk: Right, right. Yeah. kevin mullins: The bear loved them. I sent you that picture of the bear, right? That I saw Musk: Yeah, yeah. kevin mullins: that guy walking in. Right? So yesterday I walk in and I get to the back of the field and I turn my head and I see these two beady little eyes about I don't know, maybe about that far off the ground, maybe a foot off the ground. And I'm like, they're real close together. I'm like, Hmm, look at you in there. Right? So I Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: I take the light off and I shine it back. Now those two beady eyes are about seven feet in the air staring. I just kept baz: Then what do you do? kevin mullins: I just kept walking. I got in my tree stand and that was that. Musk: so a have you guys been following the playoffs and anything like that? Did you guys follow sports at all? baz: You know, once this the Yankees went down, I stopped following them, but you know, you work in a bar you work in a bar, you have to sort of keep up with that stuff. I'm more Musk: Yeah, absolutely. baz: interested in what the hell the Giants are gonna do. I never had any I Musk: Yep. You know, yeah. But part of these baz: never had any confidence in Jackson Dart. Musk: Really? baz: He gets he plays too well then he gets hurt every you know. Guy's been on the team three years, he's played three Musk: I think McCarthy's gonna baz: three downs. Musk: I was surprised with how McCarthy played in the second half and and brought them back. I think he gained a spot. kevin mullins: Yeah. Yeah. baz: I mean look at Eli didn't miss a game for he was a tough bastard. Didn't look like it, but he was. Musk: Yeah. Yeah. kevin mullins: Yeah. Yep. Well the look look at look at what's his name? f with Pittsburgh, Rogers. He's still he's still going, right? Hey you know what it is? baz: Yeah. Musk: absolutely. Absolutely. kevin mullins: Yeah I always said about the Giants and the Jets their front their line their O line sucks. baz: Usually. kevin mullins: Right? So w you you you you you caught Musk: Actually this year they're not bad. kevin mullins: Right, but you But then you your quarterback your quarterback's gonna suck 'cause he keeps getting sacked. I was watching that game the other night. I can't remember what game it was. They sacked the quarterback like seven times. Musk: that was the Monday night game. Yeah. That was terrible. Washington. baz: Yeah. You know, back back in eighty six we used to get a lot of a lot of giants kevin mullins: Yeah, the Monday night came. Yeah. baz: at Finnegan's and it was awesome because they were that was a tight knit group. The eighty six Musk: That my baz: they were called the Lunch Pale Lunch Pale Bunch or something. Remember all that? kevin mullins: Something like that, yeah. baz: Yeah. Carl Nelson, really good guy, a friend of mine. kevin mullins: We Musk: that's great. kevin mullins: I I I I always tell this story, the the the the the jets. I don't know if you you seen those license plates where you can get like giants, your team on the back of the license plate. Musk: Yeah. Sure. kevin mullins: I'm on the FDR drive and I see this shiny this shiny full size SUV, like a escalade. The thing was gleaming like it just came out of the showroom. Right. And I'm looking at the license plate and it's cars. They're going like this. I can't I can't see what the license plate says. But I saw it had an insignia on it. Finally I catch a little space in between. I see I see it. And it's got the jets thing across the bottom. And in big letters it says misery. baz: Hey I I remember watching Musk: It's right. kevin mullins: Ha ha. baz: their Super Bowl. Musk: Yeah, I do too. baz: Nineteen sixty nine. I I hadn't Musk: I believe so. kevin mullins: Joe w baz: really followed football then, but all I can remember was I I hated Joe Namath and I want someone to break his knee. I don't know why I did. I I was a John Musk: Ha ha ha. kevin mullins: Joe Willie. He he'd sta he'd stay. baz: I was a John Reggins guy. kevin mullins: He stand on he stand on the sidelines with it with with the with the the full s full length mink coat on. Musk: Yeah. baz: Was he the one who wore pantyhose too? kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah. Him Musk: So when I kevin mullins: him and him and Paul McVeigh. baz: Yeah. Musk: So when I was in college, when I was in college, the Giants used to work out at base. They baz: Right. kevin mullins: Yeah, yep. Musk: were there. Yeah, yeah. We used to party with them in Finnegan's not Finnegan's in the bar in town. And baz: What's your name of it again? Musk: what the hell was the name of it? baz: So I've been there, it was great. Musk: Yeah, it was a great little bar. And yeah. baz: Yeah. Good lunches. He was like you can't Musk: And anyone. baz: you're getting old, man, if you can't remember. Musk: Yeah, I can't remember it right now. Foleys. kevin mullins: Yeah, he well, it's got water in his ears. He just took a shower. Musk: It was it was Foleys. Foleys, baz: Holies, that's right. Musk: yeah. And you know what it was like walking in the bar and you got like Zonka sitting at the bar? You know, it was pretty impressive. baz: Yeah. I tell you when these g you know Carl Nelson, the guy used to come into Finnegan's a lot, he's like six foot eight. And Musk: Yeah. baz: you know, Finnegan's is not a big place. He walks Musk: No. kevin mullins: No. baz: in the door, it's like a you know, he is a giant. Yeah. kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah, yep, yep. baz: He probably lost a hundred pound. Musk: Do they still come around? baz: He's probably lost a hundred pounds since then. Musk: Yeah. baz: He got drafted as a basketball player, not a football player, so he was tall kevin mullins: Look baz: and skinny. kevin mullins: Look at these college kids. They're six foot they're six foot seven. They're they're two Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: two forty, two fifty, two sixty or better. And and and Musk: And that's the place kicker. baz: Okay. kevin mullins: they're r and they're and they can they can outrun a freaking a a deer. It's Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: incredible. baz: Kids are listen, I go to the gym Musk: I got a baz: and and I see these kids that weigh a hundred and twenty pounds and they're benching two twenty five. I'm like, How in the hell are you doing that? kevin mullins: Yeah. Woods told Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: me I would get a hernia if I lifted the dutz the dust off my weights. Musk: Yeah. baz: I wish I left it back then. I I enjoy it now, but back then not so much. Do you remember doing kevin mullins: Yeah. Musk: So baz: PTA at Kevin Higgins' house? Pain, Torture, and Agony? You go kevin mullins: Yeah. Yep. Musk: yeah. Yeah. baz: run the whole idea was to make yourself throw up at the end from wind sprints. I was never that dedicated. kevin mullins: Well I remember Musk: Yeah. So I got a bone to pick with ESPN. I'm kevin mullins: Go ahead. Musk: watching a a commercial the other night on ESPN, and they're showing you know what they show on baseball, you know, NBA, da-da-da. And up comes WWE. That isn't even a sport. It's and they cover it. baz: They cover it. kevin mullins: Well my grandmother Musk: What's with the I mean, why are we doing that? It's fake. kevin mullins: My grandmother yeah, my grandmother thought that professional wrestling back in the days of haste, Calhoun and baz: grandmother didn't speak a word of angle. She loved it. kevin mullins: Yeah, and Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: and roll a derby. baz: Gorgeous George, that's who my grandmother loved. kevin mullins: Well Haystax Calhoun and and the other guy, Musk: What grandmothers did you guys have? my God. What why are they baz: You know the the first Musk: doing that? That's not even a sport, it's all stage. baz: You you know the very first what what's what's the big event they started? the WWE. Anyway, it it was a fantasy Musk: I have no idea. I don't follow it. kevin mullins: Wrestle WrestleMania. baz: wrestling. I went to the first one in live. Mr. Musk: Really? baz: T, Cindy Lauper, I saw all these people. It was nuts. kevin mullins: Ri remember we used to have come to the high school? Them and the and and the globetrotters, the Harlem Globetrotters. baz: Yeah, that's right. Right. And Musk: Yeah. baz: wasn't there like donkeys at one point riding donkeys and crazy stuff? kevin mullins: Yeah. Yep. Yep. Musk: my god. kevin mullins: You you know, talking about commercials, I I I'm not a big commercial person, but it has anyone seen that and I I think I see it during the football it's a Pfizer commercial and it starts out with it's it's got a song going on in the background and it shows th three or four little kids hanging out the back window of a station wagon waving. Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: Right. And then there's baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: something there's something else that's really dangerous. And then there's something else that's really dangerous. And Pfizer Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: is coming on to this thing saying, you know, protect yourself, protect yourself. And at the end of it, there's a little girl, I don't know, maybe seven years old, standing there with a dress on, staring straight at the camera, and a lawn dart goes Bink right between her legs. Musk: Tell you I watched a lot of the the playoffs for Major League Baseball, and I'm I'm always surprised at what you know used to be you go to the stadium, you see beer, you see, you know, snacks, you know, you see Lace Potato Chips, Budweiser, Miller Light. Now it's neutral, you know, neutral or whatever that is for your hair. It's baz: Yeah. And and the snacks are eighteen dollars. kevin mullins: Yes, yeah. Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: it's it yeah, yeah, it's crazy. Musk: Yeah y you look at the Dodger game, I can't even pronounce the ads that are on the on the at at the stadium in the Dodger games. baz: Will they go for an Asian market? Musk: Yeah, I mean it's just crazy. kevin mullins: Yep, yep. It it is, it's nuts. Musk: I I don't I don't get it though. I mean what you know, who's watching that? Is it really easy? kevin mullins: I d y you know you ask yourself who's watching it. Sarah and I sit here sometimes and and those stupid freaking commercials with the with the with the guy and the Limu the freaking the stupidest. I don't I don't see how anyone hasn't put a class action suit against that stupid thing. baz: Yeah, you know what makes me even more crazy are these these kevin mullins: First commercials. Now they got the little rubber thing that goes on the hood of the car. The guy hits it off with the windshield. Yeah. what a stupid. Musk: liberty, liberty, yeah, yeah. I don't that is so baz: Yeah, let's be good reading. Musk: stupid, it's unbelievable. baz: I hate the gambling kevin mullins: Perfect. baz: commercials, you know. Musk: Who came up with that? I mean that's ridiculous. And the other thing is you look everywhere and it's FanDu one of the other gambling sites. baz: Yeah. And boy, I think they are just preying on the the US population, boy. Musk: could you imagine being a kid growing kevin mullins: And and you and you know what Musk: up with that? You're you're betting every day. You're baz: Yeah. Musk: not your phone at you know, you're in tenth grade and you're on your phone betting in the classroom. I would have been doing that. baz: Yeah. That that's taken over for kids used to smoke dope and drink, now they gamble. kevin mullins: Yeah, Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: yeah, and at the end of the commercial it says, If you have a gambling problem don't baz: Yeah. There's one of these community. Musk: Yeah. Here's the number to call. kevin mullins: watch this commercial. baz: There's one of these commercials that says, John says winning isn't everything, it's just fun. He goes, John's a loser. It's like, have you heard this one? It's like he's called his friend a loser because he lost to the bet. He goes, I just keep on gambling. kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah. baz: We'll give you twenty five dollars in free spins. 'Cause that kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah, yeah. baz: always works out for the people at home. Musk: Let me ask you something, kevin mullins: Yep. Yep. Musk: Peter. You just had your car fixed yesterday. What do you guys think is the best feature in new cars today? My my vote, automatic brights. kevin mullins: The best feature. baz: I tell ya I never had a a screen on my on a car before this one and boy I I can't do without that backup screen anymore. Yeah. Musk: Yeah, yeah, yeah. kevin mullins: Really? I hate it. I use my mirror still. And that and that automatic light Musk: Like kevin mullins: thing. I drove I literally went over Sarah was out with with the kids and we and w I was gonna meet her at this this restaurant on the other side of town on Route fifteen. It was called the the the the roasted breadfruit. It was a it was a Jamaican Caribbean restaurant and smoked smoked meats and and and stuff like that. It was awesome. It was awesome. They unfortunately they didn't make it. they're trying to come back. But I'm going over the mountain over here, and it's about seven o'clock at night, and it was fog, and those stupid bright lights. As soon as they didn't see another set of headlights coming, they would turn on. Now you can't see anything. Musk: that yeah, that's tough. But you can adjust them real quick. I mean you just hit a kevin mullins: Yeah, you can turn off, but me I like I like to I like the bright lights where if somebody's coming to me with their bright lights, I can turn my steering wheel towards them and shine my bright lights right in their Musk: Ha ha. baz: Okay. kevin mullins: face. 'Cause you can't cure stupid with these people. Musk: Did you see Tesla's new flying car? Did you guys see that? I thought it was awesome. kevin mullins: No. I y you know what I think? I I think baz: why why? Why? kevin mullins: I think maybe someone should go take a test ride in it. Musk: I yeah. Did you see what it could do? baz: Yeah, but why are we pushing this stuff so fast? Why? kevin mullins: Do you see what the other ones can do? They can kill people when they take off on their own. baz: Yeah. It's crazy. kevin mullins: If you can't listen, if you can't put your hands on a steering wheel and step on a brake by yourself, you shouldn't be driving that fucking car. baz: Yeah, I don't want to be in that car. kevin mullins: No. Nope. It's it's like the pickup truck. You see Scatterboo, he he he pulls in he pulls in the spot the thing's supposed to drive into the freaking parking spot by itself. He's got a he's gotta he's gotta block into it to push it in. You can't back if let me tell you, I I drove Musk: What? I haven't seen that commercial. kevin mullins: in New York City, my little Subaru and people are like, You're not getting in that spot. You watch me get in that spot. You baz: Yeah. Musk: I hear. kevin mullins: watch me. I would get in there, I'd push the car behind me backwards a little bit, push the car in front Musk: I used to love driving in the city. kevin mullins: He's got his shut his shuttle air on I hate driving in the city. I hated it. I can't stand it. Nah. What Musk: I used to love driving in the city. I was in the city all day long when I worked with Pepsi, you know, it was just constant. kevin mullins: Dude, the the guy I the guy the the guy that was in charge when we were doing Madam Secretary, he would get so pissed off we'd be Musk: That was a good show. kevin mullins: we'd be in the van we'd be in the van, the crew van, right? And we'd be going to a location, we'd be sitting in traffic, he would turn the freaking wheel to the right and jump up on the sidewalk and drive past the light. what else is go what else is going on? What how's everybody I I think next week we turn the we turn the clocks back, right? baz: Yeah, I don't know if I'm Musk: Really? baz: ready for that, but what are you gonna be for Halloween? Musk: How do you keep track? kevin mullins: I'm gonna be Santa Claus because my grandson wants wants to be the Polar Express, so I have to be Santa Claus and he's baz: What kevin mullins: he's gonna be the conductor. So baz: Very nice. Musk: wow. kevin mullins: my daughter in law we got the red wagon and my daughter in law last year it was Thomas the tank engine. She takes cardboard boxes and she builds these things onto the wagon. Now I get Musk: wow. kevin mullins: to tow the wagon around all day, but you know, now she's making either Polar Express or Big Boy Forty Fourteen. Musk: What? kevin mullins: Did you ever see Big Boy? baz: What's that? kevin mullins: Bi look up Big Boy. Big Boy was they took him to to Scranton, Pennsylvania, to see this the to see this steam engine. Big Boy was built. There was twenty-five Musk: yeah, you s you mentioned this before. kevin mullins: of them. And only only one is in running condition now. They were built specifically to go across the Wasatch Mountains in Utah To transport military stuff to baz: So this is these are big ass trades, is what you're saying. kevin mullins: Pete Pete seven hundred thousand tons. baz: Try to believe he gets himself kevin mullins: And and baz: moving. kevin mullins: one of them one of them is one of them is they they restored one of them and it's on the tracks running again as a as a a a thing. It took them like a couple of years. Read the story on it, it's really interesting. baz: Max can even handle that weight. kevin mullins: It's it's Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: a massive, massive, massive machine. Look it up, Google it. You'll be the the history behind it is is interesting enough. And then to watch what these guys did to restore this thing, absolutely incredible. And my my grandson, three years old, is enamored by this stuff. Anything with trains. He loves it. Musk: Really? It's amazing. kevin mullins: Yep. Musk: Little three year olds getting into that. Amazing. kevin mullins: he loves trains. You my my wife's been buying this plastic stuff that you you put on the shirts with all sorts of trains. He's he wears them every day. Yep. baz: Hmm. I like Kid. Musk: Wow. kevin mullins: Yeah. Musk: Yeah, trains were always cool. Yeah. baz: I took a train to your place once. The kevin mullins: We baz: only kevin mullins: we baz: thing I didn't like was you know, in the industrial north, the only thing you see is the back of factories. You know, you don't see it's kevin mullins: Yeah. They the the Musk: Yeah. baz: not not real scenic. If you went out west it would probably be better. kevin mullins: That's one of my that's one of my my my things I wanna do. I wanna get I wanna fly out to either go across the top of Canada or do one of those Rocky Mountain trains where you sleep on the train. Yeah, yep, yep. Yeah. baz: Yeah, what's the the cas the cascades? Yeah, cascades, yeah. Musk: That actually sounds pretty cool. kevin mullins: w we do the Polar Express with the kids every year and they they do the whole Polar Express story, you know, the Christmas story and stuff. it's it's great. The it that that leaves baz: And Chris. kevin mullins: out a That leaves out of Whippany. There's a little train museum in Whipany. we do that. And then we did the Thomas the Tank engine one out of out of down by Phillipsburg. So that that's pretty interesting. baz: So you blink your eyes, you blink your eyes, Christmas is gonna be here. It's kevin mullins: I know, it's crazy. Musk: Yeah, you're absolutely right. baz: as soon as November comes, boom, it's all over. kevin mullins: Yeah, well that's the way my whole life has gone lately. You know, I'm constant I don't know Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: I don't I I honestly be honest with you, I don't know before I retired how we got half the shit done around this around this house when both of us were working. It it baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: How'd it get done? You know, I didn't Musk: Yeah, you add more energy. kevin mullins: have I didn't you know, I know what it was, or you didn't have any weekends to yourself or do anything like that. At least now in the morning I can get up, I can hunt until ten o'clock, eleven o'clock, and come home and do something. it's freaking we're we're Musk: Yeah, but you're hunting squirrels, you don't see anything significant. kevin mullins: just walking literally just walking the dogs through the little lake community right down by the house, and four does run right across the road in front of us. baz: Well, Musk: Yeah. baz: they're just all over the and you know, Continental Woods, yeah, where we grew up, I see seven, eight, nine of them at a time on lawns. And like we're talking Musk: my god, really? kevin mullins: Yeah, that you don't even need a lawnmower down there. baz: we're talking horns and you know, we're not little, we're talking big. They're all over the place. Musk: No, we get around here face to kevin mullins: Yeah, but they're all Musk: face. I I walk my dog. kevin mullins: they're all malnutri that's malnutrition down there. Richard's got these huge eight pointers in his backyard, right? He goes, I can see the ribs on these things. It it's baz: Yeah, and you guess you're not allowed to hunt them in New Jersey. kevin mullins: You well you can't you can't hunt down in Burton County. Only certain towns are are are allowing bow hunting now. Because they did the same thing out here in smoke rice. They they didn't they didn't want any hunting and then and then they the kids started coming down here. baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: A gated community. They all started getting Lyme's disease and baz: They can be real dicks too. I had like seven of in the road the other day. They just would not get the fuck out of the road. It's like it's kevin mullins: Yeah. Yeah. Musk: Really? baz: like move. They just look at you. kevin mullins: Yeah. The DEC just posted the thing. Yeah, 'cause it's it's it's the rut na it's starting to rut now. And and again I haven't seen a deer I seen three bear, four bear now. I baz: Wow. kevin mullins: haven't seen the deer in my tree stand yet. But Eddie Musk: Wow. kevin mullins: Egan Eddie Egan's telling me the story last year. He's over in Rivervale. He says his n one of his neighbors feeds them. So they're all over the place, right? And he's in the wooded area, you know where he is. He's all he's over there down Not maybe a mile or two from where you are, Pete. I so he says he's got a cemetery behind him and then there's there's this green space behind him. So they're all over the place. He says they're eating every piece of shrubbery plant. He baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: goes, I got one hosta that's about this big, he says, and they're not getting it. They are not getting it. He Musk: Ha ha ha. kevin mullins: says, I put wire around it. I come out, the wires push down. He says, I go to the hardware store with the kids and I see this stuff. It's it's coyote urine, but it's in pellets. He says, so I'm standing in my front yard over this little Charlie Brown Christmas tree of a hosta bush. He says, I reach in my pocket and I take the package out and I'm gonna sprinkle it all around. He says, I feel a bump on my back. There's a doe standing behind him, thinking that he's putting food out for them to eat. baz: What is this? Musk: my god. kevin mullins: It literally hit him with his nose, he says, and there's like six or seven of behind that. Musk: You know, I don't remember, you know, Bergen County being that no. baz: No, now when we were young, I never saw As a kid we would kevin mullins: Dude, quick baz: have been fascinated. We would have tried to ride if we were kids. Musk: You see over by the you know, the reservoir, but I don't remember ever seeing baz: Maybe. kevin mullins: Yeah, we I I used to s I used to see over by the reservoir, but now Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: you the the the thing is nobody hunts and and sooner or later, just like in Smoke Rise, in Smoke Rise they they did a survey, they said livable there should be about twenty deer per acre over there, being the food plot and everything else. The whole understory is gone. They'll stand on their legs and eat as high as they can get. Right? There's nothing there. They're all really small deer. And baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: it's it's it's sad because th they become they become diseased that way. You know, and baz: Yeah. Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: and and no one's hunting so that there's and there's no natural predator down there. Now you're seeing a lot of coyote down there, so you know, baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: that's the only Musk: Where's smoke rise? I I'm not familiar with kevin mullins: Smoke rises in Kinalan. it's about Musk: okay. kevin mullins: maybe fifteen, twenty minutes south of me over here. But it it w we were literally I I told you guys this before. I we used to do tree work in there and these little saplings, they're you know, thirty feet tall, little baby sapling maples, we'd chop it down on the bottom, lift the whole tree up, throw it in the chipper. The deer would be eating the leaves off the top of the tree while the the thing was being fed into the chipper. baz: Desperate. kevin mullins: That's how shit it was. Musk: I mean we have yeah I see deer all over the place. I mean they they literally stand in the my backyard and tease my dog when he barks like a maniac and they won't move. They just won't kevin mullins: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Musk: move. And but but there's baz: Yeah. They don't care. Musk: hunters everywhere around here. I mean kevin mullins: Down in Burton baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: County, you don't even need a lawnmower. They just come and they mow your grass for you. You know? I thought. baz: Yeah. They are. And it's always five Musk: Yeah. baz: or six or seven at a time. kevin mullins: Yeah. Musk: You guys see moose too, or what? kevin mullins: Not down here, no. There was one there was one Musk: we get more stuff. Yeah. baz: I see rabbits. kevin mullins: reported moose and that was up near High Point up in Sussex County. but you know somebody says, you know, yeah, it was a and it's a it's a perfect spot for it. There's a lot of water, there's a lot of bog and and stuff like that, and it's high country, so Musk: Right, right. kevin mullins: but I saw this year I've seen squirrels, chipmunks, mice, bears, and And one b and two bobcat. And Musk: Wow. kevin mullins: the bobcat are beautiful, sleek, beautiful animals. Yep. Yep. Musk: Yeah, they really are. We get the I wa I see them when I walk the dog up by the river and stuff. kevin mullins: Yeah, and I got the coyote baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: the the coyote were howling away yesterday morning, so they must have been chasing my deer away. Who knows? But baz: I just have crappy little dogs yapping, that's all I have. kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah. baz: Not a lot of wildlife here. Except under my porch, squirrels and rabbits. I swear to god there's a hundred of Every time I come home, they're running all over the place. kevin mullins: Well the Musk: Chipmunks, yeah. We have chipmunks kevin mullins: the rabbits Musk: galore. kevin mullins: the rabbits out here this year, most rabbits I've ever seen. Most rabbits I've ever seen in the thirty three baz: What? kevin mullins: thirty t because they're cyclical. They when you see a lot of fox, you see less rabbit. When you see less more rabbits, you'll see less fox. baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: And and it it's it's just a cyclical type of a thing that But the the the the the the dogs were baz: Okay, good. kevin mullins: walking the dogs and the things are standing there eating the grass. Rivers eating the grass right next to them. The things standing there like, What are you eating my grass for? baz: Yeah. Musk: Yeah, the rabbits, yeah. kevin mullins: Yeah, baz: I love when dogs give you the side eye, you know? Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: This dog they got these dogs got the sad size. She sleeps Musk: I just barked to my dog is going crazy now. kevin mullins: on her back. Yeah. She she lays she lays on her back. She sleeps on her back with her feet sticking up in the air. And I call it the alligator smile because her jowls just open up. Musk: Ha ha ha ha. kevin mullins: It's the most hysterical thing you ever see. Musk: What about that guy getting eaten by an alligator fishing in in Florida? Did you see that? kevin mullins: What that you know, you would think that these people would be smarter. I I I always say I Musk: Yeah. It's Florida. Wait a minute. baz: Yeah. Take her right up to him. kevin mullins: I always I always say even if there's an accident and you know somebody's screwed th they they weren't paying I'm like, Well I ain't gonna see that guy on the road tomorrow, thank God. But there was one there Musk: Yeah, really. baz: You are seeing kevin mullins: was there was one last year, the lady the lady and her husband were playing frisbee and the frisbee went by the water. She goes to get the Frisbee. Now they know that there's alligators in the water. The frickin' Musk: yeah. kevin mullins: thing got her. baz: You wanna see a fat guy run? Put me near an alligator. Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: I thought you would be wrestling one. You rub their belly, Pete, you rub their belly to become like the baz: No shot the belly. Yeah, that's how it is. Musk: One of our most watched videos is Phil talking about wrestling the bear at Boston kevin mullins: The bear, yeah. Musk: Garden. kevin mullins: That was funny. That was funny. Musk: That's one of our top videos. kevin mullins: I went to the gun range yesterday with my son. We we we shot for about an hour. It was that was fun. I hadn't done that in a while. baz: What do you shoot me? kevin mullins: nine mils. Y you c you can rent anything you want there. yeah, you can rent them. You you baz: you read them? Yeah. I've never shot a gun in my life. And I really want to. But I wanna shoot I Musk: Well, I have, but it's been a long time. kevin mullins: What they baz: wanna shoot a fifty millimeter machine gun on a turret. That's what I want to shoot. kevin mullins: Well these yeah. These guys these guys baz: Who kevin mullins: RS I think it's called R R T S B. RTSB. There's one in Union and there's one in in Rockaway, right on Route ten. and w very, very, very strict. There's there's there's always four guys in in in the ports cleaning the shells up off the floor with squeegeees. I I literally hadn't hadn't shot the pistol in a while and I'm up there like this and the guy sit guy comes up to me, he goes, Stop. Get your thumb on the other side. That slide comes back. He goes, I don't feel like putting band-aids on hands today. But so they do really watch you closely. They get twenty five bucks for an hour, and then they charge you for whatever pistol you want to shoot. You can shoot a twenty two, thirty-eight. You know, whatever. You can shoot you can shoot the ARs in there too. baz: Mm-hmm. kevin mullins: they you know you Musk: How much they charge you for a gun? kevin mullins: I think it was I think it was the the the most expensive part is the ammo because if you're renting if you bring your own stuff, you can bring your own ammo. Then they just charge you for the for the port. and they you know, they have the electric thing, you put your target on it and you send it out however far you want. but the the the for what I could buy probably eighteen dollars a box of nine millimeters, they charge you thirty bucks. They're making their money there. But We bought three boxes, we tried out three different pistols and I think it was a hundred and sixty bucks total. So there's there's ninety dollars there's ninety dollars in pistol right there already. You know, in in ammo in baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: ammo, I mean. So but it's it's very, very pe you don't need a lot you don't need you don't need a license, you just go in there, you fill out their waiver, and they watch you. Musk: Yeah, 'cause you're not walking out with anything. I mean, why would you give me license? baz: Well the only thing around here you can do you can throw axes around in Primus. There's a place where you can throw axes. Which kinda sounds fun. kevin mullins: Yeah, yep, yep. But if you want Musk: Why would you do that? kevin mullins: Pete, if you wanted to shoot you go out there and and and and they they'll help you out. They really it's it's an interesting, you know, for for baz: I've had all sorts of B B guns, but they don't count. kevin mullins: Yeah, it's all it's all it's Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: all it it it it's very well and and should be very well police. Yeah, yep. baz: Regulated. Yeah. kevin mullins: You don't screw around in there, everybody's everybody's carrying. you know, all the all the attendants they're all carrying. So if you turn around somebody's gonna shoot you. You think you're gonna play a game, you're losing. baz: Yeah. Yeah. They don't sound like the most liberal bunch in the world. kevin mullins: No well the the it's y y it's it's amazing. I there was I'd say one, two, three. We were there for about an hour and we saw one, two, three I think five or six women in there shooting. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. baz: here's a w a weird thing. In the paper I was reading about they're working on stuttering, how to cure stuttering. Have you ever seen kevin mullins: Okay. baz: a female stutterer in your life? kevin mullins: No. Musk: I d I don't think so. baz: Why is that? kevin mullins: Mum Mum Meltillus, right? baz: But I've never seen a woman stutter, ever. I just find it weird. Musk: Yeah, that is kind kevin mullins: yeah. Musk: of weird. I never even thought of it. That's really interesting. kevin mullins: Yeah. I seen quite a few of them y I seen quite a few of them yelling. Musk: Yeah. I see that every day. And it's only one it's only one woman and she yells every day. Especially now that I'm home all day. kevin mullins: But I haven't. No, y you know it's interesting. Yeah. I I I I told I told Kate this morning. Yeah, I said to baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: Kate this morning, how's the eyes? And I told her the story about my neighbor. I when I got mine done. She's she's literally like this skinny, right? She's Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: from Peru. I says, Carmen, now I have X ray vision. She goes, my God, now you can see my blubber Musk: Yeah. baz: This is a cataract surgery? Musk: Yeah, I am amazed at how kevin mullins: Well, the cataracts we had the cataracts done and then I had l new lenses put in. Musk: Yeah, Kate just had that done yesterday. She's kevin mullins: Yeah, yeah. Musk: w that was her last well, her other eye got done. And yeah, they kevin mullins: Yeah. They do one eye one eye at a time. baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: You can get lenses for like near sighted, far sighted, or you can get what what's called multifocal. Yeah. Yeah, I Musk: Yeah, Kate got it all done, I don't know, what ten grand or something. I don't I have no idea. kevin mullins: got I got the multifocal ones and I don't have to wear glasses anymore. I can Musk: Yeah, that's Kate Walt she's looking to give away. baz: I enjoy wearing my glasses. They hide they hide the bags under my eyes. kevin mullins: Ha ha ha Musk: Kate's looking to give her glasses away somewhere for free, you know, give donate kevin mullins: I I literally baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: you know it's it's funny you said that because I had over the years since I was forty when I started wearing glasses, I had probably at least a dozen pairs. Right? And I would baz: Yeah, I'm the same way. I got mine in a box somewhere. Musk: yeah, I got that. kevin mullins: I would get them Musk: I got all kinds of breeding classes. kevin mullins: I would get them I would get them yearly through insurance and I would buy the stiletto lenses because I couldn't stand the heavy weight on my So they were like just like really super wire glasses. They were very, very light. And I bring I brought to the the place w where my eye doctor is and I'm like, donate The the the guys like the guys like, this is like, you know, three grand worth of glass. I said, I'm not baz: Yeah. kevin mullins: using them. I'm not you give give to send them send them to the the veterans. Or or send Musk: Yeah, there you go. kevin mullins: or send to A homeless shelter or something. D do do whatever you need to do with them. Musk: There's gotta be a spot that does that kind of stuff, right? kevin mullins: Well d y I I just brought right back to my eyeglass place where I bought them. And and Musk: Yeah. kevin mullins: they they have a program where they donate Yeah. Yep. Musk: that's fantastic. kevin mullins: Yep. Musk: So you know what guys, we got some things coming up. I'm really excited. We're gonna have the two grannies again. we got gentleman who started a a beverage company called Grassi. great guy. He's been in the beverage business a long time. He runs it with his kevin mullins: Is that the guy you were telling me about when we went and saw Nate? Musk: I don't remember. kevin mullins: Remember we were down the back and we were looking at the sodas and stuff like that and the Celsius? Yeah, yeah, Musk: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. kevin mullins: yeah. Okay. Musk: And we got Kurt Carritti coming up. baz: Wow. kevin mullins: Korean? Musk: so Kurt reached out to me online and wanted to join the show and I said okay. So we gave him a spot on the eighteenth of November. show is the twenty eighth. baz: Which is a Wednesday? Okay. Musk: Yeah, Wednesday. And that's Frank and the Dirtnappers rappers. it's a band that we have on our website. by the way, we have a new portion of our website. It's called A D. We're featuring comics. we have one comic that signed up recently and we're adding comics as So we got a lot of things going on. Kismet is gonna be joining us through a brewery. We're we're gonna have him on coming up. we're you know, we got a couple of dates in December. And then we're gonna take a little break at the end of the year for two weeks kevin mullins: Okay. Musk: and hopefully get started again in January with a full schedule. baz: You know what, kevin mullins: All right. baz: West Westwood has a brewery now, you knew that, right? Yeah. They do you Musk: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd love to get them on board. baz: know, they do really well, but problem is nobody likes the beer. Musk: Yeah, that's a problem. kevin mullins: Well the place out the place out by Ryan and Corey's, it's actually in Hackettstown, a guy from town. he he o is a part owner or he started it and then partnered. It's called Ziegmeister. And Z Musk: Yeah, you you mentioned that before. kevin mullins: Yeah, Ziegmeister is a very, very b it's been go it's been going strong for a long time now. they actually Musk: Here's the problem with kevin mullins: opened a a a distillery in the building right next door to it. Musk: So here's the problem. Here in Massachusetts, Berkshire Brewing's been around for ages. Samuel Adams has been around for ages. kevin mullins: Mm-hmm. Yep. Musk: But they're closing more breweries than they're opening. And breweries aren't surviving anymore. The small ones, the big ones, they're not surviving. There's too many of them. They're all over the place. We have baz: Hey, people are drinking less. kevin mullins: Well it's because it's competition. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Too many of baz: Yeah. Musk: We live in a town of five thousand. We got four breweries. baz: that's crazy. kevin mullins: Yeah. Yeah, and and and and nine dispensaries. Musk: Yeah. baz: Yeah. Musk: I know, a new dispensary just opened up. It's a grow your own kind of place, but baz: I wish that we were somewhere around here. I gotta try to go to I kevin mullins: What dispensary? Musk: A dispensary? baz: gotta go to Route seventeen if I want anything. Musk: Really? And there'll be one opening up. kevin mullins: Wait, that one the the one on Route seventeen, Pocketary, is that the one? baz: Yeah, there's one called Rise and there's one called the Hashery. kevin mullins: Yeah, there's one there's one right by the exit for Hasbrook Heights called a pocketary. baz: Okay. Musk: Hey, I gotta cut this short, I gotta take the wife to the doctor. kevin mullins: and and it's a drive thru. All right. baz: Okay. kevin mullins: yeah, keep us posted. Sounds good. Sounds good. All right. Peace out.
