vol31: Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Curated Confessions. I'm your h where we drink wine and talk to design. my gosh. Where can I get it? Episode 31. I gave myself a whole pep talk. Didn't work. Okay. I'm your host, Hilary Smith. And I'm Brittany Pelche, Como. And we are the lead designers and owners of Brit Hill Interiors in Prairieville, Louisiana. Cheers of Yeah. I don't know if y'all have noticed, but usually when I pregame I'm better at the opening, which is Yes. I don't know what that means. Just like you're not like in your thoughts. it just comes natural. And for yeah. Unfortunately I'm always in my thoughts, so what does that mean? I'm just out here rambling on not making sense at all. And that was me last week. Yes. So Britney has a story to tell. I apologize, for last week's podcast. I think I just left the podcast and was like, I'm medicated today and explain why. But a few days prior to filming the podcast last week, I was in a horrific accident. And I had woke up that day with a migraine and they have been pretty consistent cars. I don't but sh it's the She's not a share. I don't know. the more I learn about her, w w it took twenty two years, so if you needed to know anything, just ask me. But during the podcast I like, should I Interject and tell your story, but my therapist says you're not supposed to do that. You could have. But I'm trying real hard, but I'm like super emotional and it was I don't think I I could have talked about it? Yeah. wow. I've been in a lot of car accidents. Yeah. Not I don't know what that says. I mean I have too, but not like that one. That was like a real real eye opener. So a I was I was on I twelve which already has traffic. It was game day. but I was going east and this box truck like came into my lane and something told me to look in my mirror and I so I looked at your driving instructor. Yes. And his headlight was literally like in my mirror, so it freaked me out. And I just swerved real hard. And I realized how swerv like how hard I swerved and I went to swerve back and it was like I don't even remember anything after that. It I lost control and I hit a concrete wall and I flipped my vehicle four times and yeah, it was all kind of a blur. But I landed on my driver's side door, so I was trapped. But the highlight of the story, if you know, there's always a good to the silver lining. The silver lining. I had a doctor, a nurse, an attorney, and an off-duty cop were like the first on the scene. So I was like, someone was looking over. I didn't mean to make you cry, sorry. I I guess I don't I don't know. I probably would be more emotional now. life ch like I guess life changes. I have always lived not fast and loose, but with my not with my driving. I don't know how to say that either. No. I'm actually kinda like a grandma with my driving, but I don't know. I overthink everything until it comes to things like that. And then I just don't think about those things. Yeah. It just It really puts the things into perspective, like you know, the daily things that we always gripe about. Gripe about and like, you know, what we do is not I always think about what your clients said and i what we do is not that serious compared to a lot of people's jobs and I don't think that's how she put it, but yes. Yes, like she saves lives every day, you know? Correct. She and so when we just to elaborate on that, she we were not gonna hit a deadline or something didn't come in and I guess something was delayed, I think. We were trying to do her bathroom remodel, I believe is when this she started telling us this whole story and I just kept apologizing profusely because I was like, I can't like we kept saying it'd be a date and then they'd push the date back. And I every time I'd be my gosh, I have to make this phone call to tell her that it's gonna be another month, or you know, and I was so upset about it. And she was like, I don't even know why you're upset about this. I, you know, I could have lost a life yesterday. I I deal with life and death every day. a bathroom remodel is definitely not going to upset me or, a delay like that and issues like that's just I can't wouldn't you have to deal with, making decisions on what to do and how to save a life. And, you know, interior design just isn't really the big scheme of things. With she also has said that us redoing her master bedroom and making it the sanctuary that it is, she was eternally grateful and we pushed her to, you know, do a few more things than what she originally wanted to do. And she was like, I didn't know how coming home from a hard day of work to my s a safe space that is relaxing and My whole family wants to be in there. We put a sofa, a whole sitting area in our bedroom. She was like, The kid the boys go and pile up on the sofa. The whole family can go in her room at the end of the day to decompress. And she was like, I didn't know how powerful that is to have a safe, calming space after you deal with what she deals with heavy everyday heavy work. So And thankfully most of our clients are very, you know, understanding of that but every now and then I'm like it's it's really not that big a deal on the scheme things. if there's a delay you're like it's out of our control. people are waiting for us. People are excited to get in their space and that is trying to put things into perspective. I always just still hate the call to not make sex. But so yeah. I did appreciate her saying that there. She like please just Don't be stressed about calling to tell me that there's bad news because that's just part of life. So I She helped me also learn that because I had severe anxiety when I would have to call clients and tell them bad news. And she was like, that's just part of every day. Mm-hmm. It could be far worse. And I'm like, yes, I don't ever have to tell anybody that anything horrible. So moral of the story, yes, it could have been far worse. Yes. Absolutely. and yeah. So I'm still here today for this podcast. So hopefully it'll go a little bit better. Then the last one. I was out of words and the words weren't making sense. So but to elaborate on what Hilir Hillary was saying, we we have been doing a lot more I find really not our clients are coming to us more so and wanting to do more of like relaxation rooms and steam rooms and coal plunges and saunas and it's just last time I went to the plumbing place that we get our most of our plumbing that we spec it from, they have like now they have a whole setup with a sauna and it's just that is I think life is coming lifing and taking its toll on people. And people are realizing how much it helps and yeah. speaking about anxiety, speaking about you know, just trying to deal with day-to-day obstacles, having a space in your home where you can a I jokingly talk about therapy all the time. And we were actually at our event last week and the builder we were talking to, we started getting very deep and I was like, you know, sometimes The job just really has to be worth it. You need to prioritize. You need to and he started going off and he was I was like, Wow, you sound like my therapist. And he was like, I do go to therapy. And then we just all chuckled because it was like He's not someone you would. It was yeah, it was like this group of professionals all sitting around talking about how like we've all had to go to therapy to be able to process what's happening in just day to day and pro in sales and managing people's expectations. And if you're a people pleaser, it can be very draining. And so boundaries my favorite word, taboo word. and s with that being said, so we were talking to the realtor that was putting it on, which also owns a CrossFit studio, so I know he's very much into mind body wellness. I was like, So how do you feel about cold cold plunges? Because I know that I've been talking about doing it for like anxiety and a lot of people say that they don't take meds medicine or anything after they start doing it. And he was like, absolutely. it helps my anxiety so much and I don't know, I guess it was just kind of refreshing too. Not to say that because he was a man, but just because everybody was just talking so openly about how we a lot of us had just met it was a realtor and broker open house. We were literally it was, you know. And we're having these you know, great conversations about how this industry and just like I said, any type of sales people pleasing is Extrenuous and so we have talked about getting a coal plunge, which obviously we are not or I'm in my house already. So I'm like, okay, what where how can I retrofit this? How we're trying to like add this? Add on to the house. And I'm like, okay, I don't need a guest bedroom. Nobody comes stayed at my house. Like I'm gonna turn that into a sauna. And I was like, Can I put a coal plunge in my guest bedroom? Can you put that inside? I don't I have so many questions, but I mean you have seen concrete. Yeah. I guess it doesn't need a drink. I there's probably so many options. Yeah. he was talking about a trough. I was like, I don't need that. What do you say? They put it in like a canoe or something? a at first, yeah, he said with a bed liner or something. I was ice chest. Yeah. He with and he like rhino lined it or something. I was like, This is intense. Big trees or something. I was like, I think you can just buy online, like ready made. But that was some Cajun ingenuity as he was describing. but I have been saving some ideas on my Pinterest board for if I ever do build. I keep going back and forth. We just had a whole conversation about how I was gonna buy instead of build, but if I ever do build, I wanted this like Moroccan tile, Santorini vibe, but like super colorful, not like white, but where you would just like go step in and it'd really be a pool that's like off of your master bedroom. my gosh, have you ever seen Gwynneth Paltrow's like her tour of her Hallone House Beautiful? I was watching on YouTube one day. All those always pop up 'cause I watch all the time. And she has like a legit whole spa underneath her house. I bet she does. She also owns a wellness brand, so I feel like she should do that. It's the dream. It's the dream. It's so nice. It's like yeah I just come down here every morning. I'm like thinking it's like you literally go to the spa every day. It's like I would like to start my day off every day at the spa. Right? I mean every day would just be so good. I'm just happy if I get a bottle of water a day. That's like my goal in life. Just drink one bottle of water. After our podcast. Maybe before 'cause these bags under my eyes. But So anyway, yeah. I don't think I'm doing it correctly. Yeah, I don't know the steps. I just aggressively start pressing my face and hope that something happens. It's not working, but I did and I found this concealer that was like for 40 year olds, I was like, Wow, we're really the the marketing is great here. Yeah. I was like, I'll take two. I can no longer buy the products where like the eighteen year olds are like, Look, it covers I'm like, ain't got nothing to cover. I know. I hate watching tutorials or whatever TikToks and they're like, look, look at this wrinkle cream, it's working. I'm like, I want to throw my phone. But anyways. But so to add to the to the wellness, I'm pretty excited about. so la last week, last weekend, I'm out of days now. I'm my days are all mixed up, but The day I got in my rec, I was supposed to go to Pro Source to pick tile. That is a tile company. Yes, that's where we select our tile from. And we have a key so we can go after hours, but I never went after hours. I'd always just went during the week. So I went this past Saturday instead. And I must say it was quite it was it was nice to like have the whole store to yourself? Yeah. Yeah. not have people looking at you that is the third time she done went up to the thing. What is she doing? But so yeah I had to select tile for like five different clients but one of them is one that we're doing a like they have the the over the garage huge room that they have as a gym and it had just a small bathroom and so there wanting to expand it 'cause it had with the slope of the roof, it was very odd, just a very sharp like ceiling over the tub area. So we're gonna expand the bathroom and add a sauna and a steam shower and like a whole wellness ritual upstairs. So I was picking the tile and everything for that. So I was in my spa vibes Saturday. I like it. and they're oddly enough, their master bathroom, they have like the biggest shower I think I've ever seen. It's it's not one with the tub in it, but like you walk in and the tub, you know, is the focal and the center and the showers behind it and it's just a full wall of glass that separates it, but it's like the whole width of the bathroom. So it's it's very pretty and their house flooded, so we're having to update, you know, it's already pretty marble, but we're having to take it out and update, so they're wanting to go with like a a different vibe, like dark like probably black floors and you know so it was a whole different vibe from downstairs, which we're also converting into a steam shower in their master suite. And the whole upstairs I did more of a, lighter spa vibe. So stay tuned to see that. Yes. I just had a thousand thoughts pop in my head about What's that? well we talked about last week at that event about bathrooms that have the tub in the shower. yeah. Pros and cons of that. Yeah. And what what what do y'all think about that? So oddly enough, I was like, I have always I love the look of it, but so the resort that I went to in Turks and Caicos, that's how it was situated. Which I've seen it different ways. Like I've seen it to where there's a glass wall. separating that whole wet section. but then pros and cons of having glass that you would have to squeegee a huge wall of glass because they would the water would go to you know any spray anywhere. Also I can't imagine like okay we squeegee our door and our shower every day to keep it from having spots. You would have to dry off all of your fixtures on a tub and in the shower. That so of course there are products that have no, you know, like the what is it called? Not spotless. No yeah, the spotless. Kind of like a Ranex for your shower. But I mean like for your f fixtures. For fixtures, yeah. Like mine leave the spot, but if you take a a towel or anything and just rub over it, it comes off immediately. It's not like it's a stain, where I've had some the, cheaper plumbing fixtures that if water stays on it, then it's not spots aren't coming off. Spots aren't coming off. But so I was like that's a the negative. Now the s bathroom that we had in Turks and Caicos was It didn't have a door. It was just all exposed. You walk it was a lot of the bathrooms like in other places. You when you go Well, you have to think that if you're on vacation, you're not squeeging a door. So can you imagine the water spots that would be on all the glass? So I understand why they don't like to put glass in fat in hotels. But I mean, always get ready first because I take longer than my husband. So I would be in there doing my makeup and then he comes in there and we're all just standing together basically in the shower. And I'm like, with a shower cap because there's water flying everywhere. And I'm like, I already did my hair, but let me put it in a cap. And then I'm In the mirror trying to do my makeup and he's over there frolicking in the shower, water's flying everywhere. And I'm just like that's what I was just thinking about. I'm like a lot of people. I don't know how you share a bathroom with someone whenever you're doing that situation. A lot of times I take a bath while my husband takes a shower because we have a wall that separates that. But if I was in the shower taking a bath, and he showers like shamu, I would be getting all his Apparently that's how my husband does do it. I was like, What is going on over there? Yeah. Now granted it had a bench that you could sit on next to the shower. I never partaked in that because it's a hotel, so that seems odd to me. But it was super nice to sit there to sh like or I put my leg up on it to shave my legs. and then but that's where our robes were hanging because that was so I would leave my swimsuit to dry and then he would come take a shower. My swimsuit would be wet again because I was like, I was trying to let it dry so I could put it in my suitcase and I'd be like, Well, that's gonna have to go back up for 'cause you aren't thinking when you get in the shower you need to take all of your stuff off the wall and I don't know. I think that's for very clean pe Yeah. Unless it's more of the I had a client that did it, but her space was huge. it was the size of my bathroom. So the water never hit the blast. And then water never hit the top. you were in it was a car wash. you basically could go in there and run laps around but I'm like, that's a lot of square footage. That's a lot of tile. That is a lot of I don't know. So the house we we went to the the broker's open house, their their tub was like in the center of the bathroom. Like you could walk all the way around it and it was separate of the shower. How you feel about that? that's how most are, aren't they? No. I don't I mean I've seen bathrooms like that, but it's just I felt like It was positioned right in front of the shower? Mm mm. They had a pretty big walkway between. It was like literally in the center of the bathroom. Floating kind of. But I was like, I don't know, I have so many things. Like there's nowhere to put your thing. it would just be like if you like to soak in a tub and I wash my hair in the tub, I need I take a shower to wash my hair. I'm a bath girl every time. Me too. My tub is too small. I have to do gymnastics to wash my hair. We are also I'm like five foot two, so like Yeah, you would love my bathtub. her tub is perfect for me to wash my hair. Yeah, if we switch tubs, it would be Unfortunately the space was already designed. I wanted a freestanding tub. I didn't really think about it. So unfortunately I overanalyz clients, not so much for myself. We both do. I loved the shape of this like angled tub. I didn't want the round, bubbly tub. And with that angle it makes the bottom of your tub really small. Something I didn't think about. but it is nice if I do want to TikTok in the bathtub because I can prop my feet on the edge and I can lay there for hours. My feet don't even reach the other side of my tub. I literally would like when it's full of water, I I have to like put a towel under my butt so I don't slip. Yeah. That's not the problem with mine. It's a great image. Sorry. I also have like a tile surround so If I do wash, I do sometimes wash my hair in the tub. That's what the days that I'm just so lazy I can't which is funny because I probably have to do more stretching to make that work. Yeah. But sometimes just standing up in the shower just isn't where it's at. That's that's always my mentality. you're telling me I have to stand up and and wash my hair standing. There's been a time that I took a bath, got out of the bath. And flopped over the edge of the bath and washed my hair outside of the bath with my head hanging over. That all sounded better than getting in the shower. I honestly yes. A shower sounds like torture to me. I used to do I do have body sprays and stuff, so I do enjoy my shower and it's spacious. But water gets everywhere. And I really don't like to squeegee that wool. I know. Remember in Vegas I only had a shower? Like I took showers all the time and then I went to Switch and take baskets. I said, that's nuts. I said, you're nuts. Yeah. I didn't have room for all that. I chose a bigger closet than a tub. Live choices. And I don't regret it. You also don't live there. Exactly. Well, in our old age, I like to be able to sit firmly on my bottom while I'm in the water. Same, same. I'm so glad I have a tub now. Up some salt in my bubble bath every night. I'm like, I'm about to get one of those that just open on the side because I don't even like to break my legs. I'm just so confused about how that works. you have to stand in or you have to sit in the tap tub naked and wait for it to fill up. Do you really? Absolutely. The water will come out. I always wonder, like I I mean you can't just open the door and the water magically stays. I don't know. One of my clients wanted one. She was a little bit older and Obviously we're way too young to be talking about it was years ago and I was like, A tub with a door, you know, I had to research it 'cause that was the first time I I worked in a nursing home. I was well first. Yeah, I never seen this. So, back then I was like I I didn't really I mean I spec'd it out for the space accordingly for size, but I didn't get into with her, you know. How she It has now you have to deal with your plumbing situation, but it has it's almost like a jacuzzi. Like it's one of those that has like multiple like it fills really fast. Is the I just wonder if they're problematic, like with the s seal around the door. That's what I always thought of. Like that would be a I mean, think that's why why they like they're Not cheap. And there's obviously knockoffs of the brand that I cannot think of the brand that I remember it com coming out with it. But I think that's the selling point. Yeah. But also it's everything is problematic. Putting water in your home is problematic. Yeah. You know, mold is problematic. We eat everything, you know, we build stick homes and then put fireblazes on that's problematic. Yeah. all the things. All the things. But we just you know, maintenance, work around it. Back to the steam shower. Some flex seal. I don't know, some Cajation ingenuity once again. Another house we're working on, we didn't mention this before, but I thought it was kind of cool the way they designed their It's like you walk in there shower and then there's another shower door and then you go into the next shower. and it's a steam shower. Yes. I love that. Yeah, because I was like Except they have a sauna, so I don't know why I would go in a steam shower. Well it's different. It's like dry versus wet. Who wants to be wet hot? Well You're gonna be wet hot when you get in the sauna and when you start sweating. Well you I don't see and then I thought you put water in a sauna for humidity. So I thought it was wet heat. Well, when it comes off the rocks it's dry in a sauna. So you go in the dry sauna and then you go in steam water showing itself off. Yeah, over the rocks and it creates a steam like heat. I guess so either. I that's called steam. But it's still drier than like a Well yeah, that's what I'm like I would rather go in a sauna and sweat it out, which I guess you're either way you're gonna have gross hair, but I'm just that I would never go in a steam shower 'cause you're get having a wet head every day. Well it helps sinuses for sure. It helps my sinuses. So does a humidifier. Yeah, but who wants to have that? So does saline. Just get some saline. I hate that going down my throat. It doesn't go down your throat. You're doing it wrong. I think I am. I I could never do that. That's are you talking about a neti pot or like saline? Either. I've tried both. The E and T told me to That neti pot thing is crazy. I've watched people do weird things with it. Mm-hmm. I don't have a lot of well, besides that other podcast when I was super nasal. There was a lot. Did you go home and do your neti pot? I don't have one, so no, I didn't. I just talk to Lou. Excuse me. But But no, like when you go to the spot. I'm more dry. I have to use like saline. Like I'm so dry. Like it hurts my nose. you must have really had a time in Vegas then. It wasn't until I was older. It was like I come from a dry climate. So when I moved to Vegas, nothing changed. It was when I came to Louisiana, my body like well that's when I would have freaked out. When I would fly back and forth, I would have nosebleeds all the time. Yeah. I would get aller I mean, I'd never had allergies until I moved. I made that really full. I'm sorry. until I moved and then I would go back home and I would get sick. Yeah. And I'd be like But I wasn't ever sick whenever I lived here to begin with. I don't know. Allergies are weird. And then I went and took an allergy test and they said you don't have any allergies. And I'm like, whatever. except the cockroach one. That one did it. You're allergic to cockroaches? The fact that they test for cockroaches is gross. That's horrifying. Yeah. It's one of the shots. And I was like, Excuse me, how do you shoot cockroaches in someone's arm? Ew. They're like they're like dried up. Crunched up and put and then stop it. You're lying. That's what she told me. She might have been lying, but I went love that for me. That was the only one that got inflamed. Red, whatever. That's just nasty. Mm-hmm. She was like, These are the top fifty allergy allergens. Hmm. Cockroaches. Mm mm. Mm mm. I was like, Well, I'll call the working man. Don't want those in my house. Thank you. Remember when our pest control guy came? And I was like, I saw this crazy bug running. And I was like, look, there's a dead one right there. Which obviously our pest control was still working because it was dead. This dude goes and picks it up and goes, it's Austrian. It's so it's fine. He went into such detail, like it was what's that movie with the Joe's apartment? Yes. On MTV 900 years ago. Yes. Yes. I remember when they roll up the tube of lipstick and a cockroach comes out. I have nightmare. You've never seen Joe's Apartment? No. you should watch it for fun. Terrifying fun. For funsies. Yeah. It was dumb. But but yeah. He he knew this guy knows he knew all his And then he picked it like He was holding it, he was showing me that this is not this cockroach is more of an outside cockroach. That's why they're running around frantic in the daylight because they sh don't wanna be inside. And I was like, Well, go back outside. And and then he takes it and he just puts it back down on the ground. And I was going. You take your little friend home with you. And then goes, I guess I could pick that up. And then he picks it up again. I was like, he doubled down with the picking up of the cockroaches. As we're like stepping away. I was like he was like I was like, there's a sink right there if you wanna take care of that. I I meant to wash our hands afterwards. He did though. He his hygiene was fine. It was just jarring to watch it happen. You couldn't have paid me to remember back in the day whenever what was that show? My mom used to love to watch it, Fear Factor. I can't. That show. Me too. And they would put like tarantulas on you. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. They would eat cockroaches. Yeah. Y'all, that was so mean. What was the point of that whole show? It's so stupid. To watch people lose their minds? I think that is Actually, as a society. I watched a documentary on it. It was like Like how they know their allergens to cockroaches aren't but they're They were getting a million dollars. That's basically what they were showing you is people are willing to humiliate themselves for money. Yeah. I don't know if I would. I would a lot of people didn't. Like you you couldn't pay me enough money. I mean, I say humiliate. Maybe it he he So what was his name? A Howie Mandel or whatever? Joe Rogan. well Joe Rogan. Howie has a Howie is dealer no deal. Dealer no deal and he has But I thought Howie was the one that has the shake hands. Yeah, he that's what I was thinking. He's germaphobe. Yeah. That's why I thought that was him, 'cause he was talking about the show. Did he change did it change? No, it's always been Joe Rogan. Okay. Well then I don't know what I was thinking of 'cause Howie I watched a documentary on him and he was like it was horrible halving to do that show. Yeah. But I did watch the documentary on fear fear factor. Mm. That's what it was. And it it was getting to the point where they were like, how many things could you pushing people too far? Yeah. The maggot stuff. They would eat maggots in it. That was no, no, no. Like what if that grows in no. you probably have worms in you. Stop. I know I do eat a lot of sushi. And salmon. I eat a of sushi. And salmon. It has mm, what they call? I can't think today. Pes pesticide not pesticide though. Parasites. Thank you. no. Like they say don't eat people eat like salmon and stuff and then they're like they'll show a bear in Alaska with a forty foot tapeworm coming out of its Rarely eat salmon like every day. And they're like every day. Do not eat raw salmon from Alaska. You will get worms. I don't know. They say there's like a medicine you can take. You can take a medic like take this medicine and then it'll just like they come out. No. No. But they also say they come out in your bed. Stop it. That's what I heard. Stop Hillary. What does that mean? while I'm sleeping, they're they're hanging out? They're like crawling out of you. I don't know is what I've heard. No episode is fear factor for me. Fear factor 2.0 Brito. I'm on fear. It went from the spa to bugs coming out. Can we talk about spogging? So aromatherapy and a steam shower has been a Well, I mean, so you know you can get what is a a clo- Clonic. I never can't say that word. Clonic. Mm-hmm. And you can get those worms just sucked right on out. Yep. I always when I was younger and I had more mental health problems. I always begged for a tapeworm. What? So I would lose weight. I was like, if I could just get a tapeworm, that would solve like all of my problems. Did you eat salmon? She's like, I didn't want it that bad. I don't think that's the same type of worm. I think you just have worms growing in you if you yeah, it's more of a parasite. Yeah. I I wanted a specific type that ate your food? Fat. my god. Does it eat your fat or does it eat your food? I don't know. I think. Hmm. Moving on. I don't I can't say I can't talk about worms. Mm-hmm. Mm-mm. I don't know. So So like what's the deal about ringworms? I feel like I did research on this. Something about cats. I don't know. Find out for us for next podcast. I just don't have a cat, so it's fine. Then I wanted that hairless cat and then I thought about that and I was like those things are scary. I love it. You have to like clean its skin. Yeah. I have a friend who has I thought they have eczema, huh? Yeah. They do no, they have seriously bad But they get like pimples. Like she has to like to put like a dust on it like a ferret or a chinchilla or whatever it is. Like They're really they do have hair that's just very fine. So you have to peach groom it. But I feel like I've already told this story. Did we already talk about this on the podcast? I don't know. You should tell it again. I wanted I wanted a hairless cat so bad. And then I did the research and I found out they are really high maintenance. Like you do have to groom them. Like a lot. They're worse than like a doodle. Like, so can you imagine having doodles and a hairless cat? Like that would be the most whatever. But I have a lot of glass in my house and I found that like they jump from surface to surface. And when they sit down, because they have no hair on their booty hole, it leaves suction like their booty hole suctions onto the glass and leaves little butt rings on your glass surfaces. You wouldn't have fingerprints from a cell, it'd be booty hole marks from the cat. I do find that funny. It's kinda funny. It's awesome. I would probably just like bedazzle them and just go with it. Maybe it'd be like dusting. Maybe it would like dust my surfaces. Like just little booty hole rings. I don't know. Okay. I am taking a hiatus from any more pets. So it's a lot of work, huh? but it's so cute 'cause Estelle just now I mean she's always said no every time we have to let the dogs in. But then the other day she was like, Dexter And then now she like every time I give Dexter a treat, I have to say gentle because he will take your fingers off if you forget to remind him. And so of course the other day she saw me giving their little dental treats and she wanted to do it and I was terrified. But I gave him a stern talking to before. She's been doing it every morning. She never has to say gentle. It's so funny. He just goes and nibbles. they're so and I'm like, but and then it's also cute 'cause like She has this thing where if you're sitting on the ground, she starts like she'll back it up to you because she wants to sit on your lap, but she won't just turn around when she gets there. She reverses the whole way. But she'll do it to Dexter. He'll be laying there and she'll go and back and then slide down his body and lay up against him. Which he gives it about five seconds and then he pops up and leaves. But I'm like, it's cute. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I just gotta not have a meltdown. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So Which is gonna happen. Yeah. It's bound to. No. Two dogs and a No, we're gonna not have a not have a meltdown. You just said it's bound to happen that I have one. Mm. No, it's fantastic. Mm-hmm. Did y'all have Fallfest already? Did I miss it? That is on the thirtieth. okay. Mm-hmm. It's this week. No. There's strict rules. Schools don't like strangers that with their children. Well, what's it all about then? Who goes? The children. it's just for them? Pretty much. If you are not on the volunteer list, you do not get to come even as a parent. They say it's because of limited parking. Also, it's just gonna be probably case. So like Every tent has a game, so the kids are just gonna go from tent to tent. It's definitely for the kids. I don't know. I thought it was a fair or something. I don't know. I think it is just like for their little school. For their school and they're like she's eighteen months, so I don't even know how like how many games can an eighteen month old play? She likes to play. Ha attention span though, I think. Yeah, I'm like what? V at a fair when you throw a ring around a goldfish bottle or something, I'm done with this. I'm like, if I get a goldfish, my head will explode. Yeah. And you know, I could probably handle a goldfish, but it's not like that. Mm-hmm. I think it's It did back in the day until I had to take care of it. My sister did, yeah. Yes. And it wasn't a goldfish, it was a beta. And it lived in a blender and it was adorable. Yeah. But it was the second goldfish or beta that I had. Remember when my air conditioning went out in Las Vegas and I just went and stayed with you because I didn't want to deal with it? Yeah, And they would they would come and they would be like, everything looks like it's fine. And So I just turned it on. I turned 15 degrees. I turned it off one day and I was like, I'm tired of p paying this electric bill because it's running nonstop. It's like $300 a month. That was so much back in 900 years ago. And so I was like, I'm just gonna go stay with Brittany. I came back. My fish was floating at the top. Apparently, it boiled itself. It was 125 degrees in my apartment when I got back. Oopsies. And then the mate I called again and I was hysterical. I was like, Yo killed my fish. They came back and they said there was a switch that wasn't switching off, so the heater was also running with the air conditioning. So while the air was cooling off, it would then pass through the coils to heat it back up after it went through. I was like, I think I need prorated something. But I was young and dumb and I was like, okay, hmm. I should have thrown a fit, but I almost died that summer. It was rough. Yeah. And then also my AC and my truck went out, I think, similar summer. That was rough. That was rough. I don't know how you did that. That was the year I moved here and I had to drive in a swimsuit. I bet they thought I was crazy with my window down, going eighty miles an hour on the interstate of my windows down. And it's one safe. The things, we would. It was that was nothing back then. It it was something. It was I don't know if I didn't. Didn't seem like nothing for you. I mean, I did a lot of dumb things. Now I think I would just die. That's why I'm like, I can't even. I don't like to be cold, but I think I would prefer a cold plunge over having to go into a sauna. the sauna just sounds horrible. I don't know. I gotta go back and forth. I need both. I can't do one or the other. getting a hot tub in the pool. Yeah. I can't do yeah. That's how I I have to it it really relaxes you too. You do that and get a massage, going back and forth from a cold plunge to a Yeah, but you're talking five minutes. there's people that go and sit in a sauna for thirty minutes. Mm-hmm. Just can't make it that long. Boiling their intestines, I feel like. No, I can't do that. But I don't know. I I mean, if I had a wellness center I'd put in both because I mean, why not? Why I have a wellness center. But I don't know, that's my biggest fear is I'm gonna invest money in a Nicole Plunge and then the first time I put my toe in it I'll lose my mind and I just run away. I especially if you put your head under. See, I prefer though we used to go to a local wellness center around here and they had like the cryo chamber. Was it cryo? Is that what I'm thinking of? Or is that the one where they suck all the air out that I used to stay in that tube? Which was also weird. I don't know. Some people might have been claustrophobic. It's I would take work in there and they'd be You're supposed to relax. I'm like, This is relaxing. It is thirty minutes of being stuck in a tube. Some people freak out because they suck all the air out and then you have to release it slowly. So if you do freak out, you can't just get out. You have to ask permission. Someone has to come get you. But I was ready to get out at when when it was time for sure. I did it once. That was good. But I did that little polar chamber, whatever the heck it's called. Yeah, it was like snowflakes. She would come out and have frozen if you had a runny nose, you definitely had a little eyesickle coming out of your nose when you left. Yeah, that was See, that's I'm like, can I I would rather 'cause it was two minutes of just being in a blizzard. Yeah. Versus having to get wet. Wet, cold just sucks. I know it does. But Calvin, our friend, was like, no, you hop in it and it's like starting your day over. Mm-hmm. Like an instant reset. I'm like, I need like one. I would just have to walk around in a bathing suit because I would have to do it like eight times a day. Okay, reset. Try again. We're gonna start again. We're just gonna have a whole wellness center at Brit Hill. Reset our day. Reset. Reset the podcast. Reset after the podcast. Get one phone call. I'm like, I'm gonna need a reset. We're gonna have a do-over on this day. Yeah. I could have used one trying to do pigtails on a eighteen month old in the morning, I could have used eight cold plunges today. Just saying. Well, I think that's it for today, guys. Sorry we were a little Debbie Downer for a minute, but More good vibes next week. Let's keep talking about spas and worms.
