Rhiannon: Hello and welcome back to another tea break on the Country Woman podcast. I've recorded about nine guest episodes now, and one thing that's come up in almost every conversation I've had this week is to be willing to be a beginner and to not be curious and to not be afraid to ask questions. Which is funny because every guest that I've had has come from a completely different background, but they do seem to be getting the most out of life when they've been willing to say I don't know, but I'd love to learn. And I think that's not just true in the countryside, but in the rest of life as well. I've also, you know, really been blown away by the response to the podcast so far. Before I launched it, someone questioned whether there was actually any need for it, and they felt like it was trying to solve a problem that didn't really exist. And I'd be lying if I said that didn't knock my confidence. But then I started posting about it and so many of you wanted to be involved or sent lovely messages about it and then episode one came out and you guys sent more messages and more comments started coming in and people said that they'd love listening and they'd have felt inspired to give something a go or they recognised themselves in someone else's story and that's what I wanted to achieve with it if it you know, one woman listens and decides to book that shooting lesson that she's been putting off, to take a dog to gun dog lessons, to try fishing for the first time, Or if someone sends a message to another woman with similar interests and makes a new friend. Or if someone finishes an episode feeling a little more confident than when they started. that's enough for me. And every single episode has made me smile when recording it and then smile all over again when I've been editing it. And honestly picking the clips to share has been one of the hardest jobs because every conversation is just so full of brilliant stories and thoughtful advice and moments that'll make you stop and think, but One of the conversations that I've had this week, a part of it really stuck with me and we were we were talking about how sometimes one genuine compliment can stay with you for years and you know, and someone takes thirty seconds out of their day or ten seconds to say something kind or encouraging, you do remember it for a long time afterwards. So going on that, to You probably have had more of an impact on me than I can say because starting something new is scary. This was really scary and putting myself out there online is scary and f you know, now I don't feel so worried about it and that is because of every single comment or message from all of you whether you knew me before I decided to start this podcast or whether you've just joined on as I've begun. my diary is chock full of recordings with all sorts of really incredible women and I'm really excited to say that I've already got a weekly guest episode lined up all the way through to March next year, which is crazy. So every Monday morning you'll have a brand new conversation to listen to, and in between I'll keep dropping these little tea break episodes where we can chat about whatever's been on my mind this week or something that I've come across. And then every now and again there'll also be a first time debrief episode where either I'll talk about something new that I've tried for the first time or I'll invite somebody on who's recently tried something new themselves and we'll chat about what we've learned from it. So Aga like if there's two things to take away from today's short little tea break. The first is to be willing to be a beginner and the second is to tell people when you admire something about them or when they do something well because it really does make a big difference. And if you have recently tried something new or you've got something lined up that you've always wanted to do, then I want to hear about it. Send me a message, leave me a comment. I wanna know what you guys are up to. And if you try something new because of something you hear on this podcast in the upcoming episodes, honestly, that would that would make my day. So please do let me know. But for now, take care.
