Dr. Dean Alley PhD: Alright, Chaplain Dean Alley here. I had a moment. Thought I would jump on here and hit chapter 11 and work through this a little bit. We just came off chapter 10, you remember. I gave you a kind of breakout on where the tribes and where Israel, when they were scattered, the progenitors, to start those regions or those areas or something. But you gotta remember this is coming off of the Noah from Noah from the flood and everything. And at that point, you know, again this takes time. It's not like it's overnight. But it's important to be able to call some of that that stuff out in the the Bible. You know, and as always I just like to make sure that I try to teach from the Bible and try to teach with God's direction and I hope it's a blessing to you. I'm doing a line by line. Only because I was asked to and I thought maybe we would just Kind of learn from each other. I get a lot of interesting feedback from people. I wish they were a little bit more questionable in terms of you know instead of Debbie Downer's. I'm not wasting anybody's time. I'm I'm sitting here when I study, I'm studying, I'm using the Hebrew. I'm using multiple different sources, resources, and things that I've amassed over the years to be able to bring this stuff to you. So anybody that knows me, I'm a pretty serious guy and I don't like to waste anybody's time. I do not, for instance, I do not pick up anything that is fiction because it's all made up and I don't have time for made up stuff. I only focus on the nonfiction things that are actually true. Yeah, that makes me a little boring, but that's kinda how I kind of kind of get going, I guess, is reading and and see seeing and studying and looking at things. and that's what I've done with the Bible. I've tried to start and study it in depth. And I'll never get to the bottom of it. I know it. I don't know everything. I'm I'm admitting that right now. you know, there's times there's a couple little key things in there and I try to caught I caught it on the last one where I I put Shem as the older brother and then I put JPth as the middle child. It's the other way around. There's so much going on. I'm trying to get so much out in a short amount of time. That I you know, I I put things backwards, not on purpose. But if I see an error, I like to I like to fix it. So let's just jump into this and I'll start reading from chapter eleven, verse one and the whole earth. Think about that. And the whole earth. That's not part of the earth, that isn't one little area, it's the whore. Was of one language and of one speech. What does that mean? Everybody spoke the same language on earth at one time. That's what that means to me. Now, you you may see that different, but that's kind of what it says. I'm taking it from a literal standpoint of speech. So the entire world or the whole earth spoke this one language. And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east. That they found a plane in the land of Shinar. So just a little geographic there. Shinar would be part of the Babylonian timeframe. And it's just another name for it, or Babel or or Babel is however they say that. but that is just another way of saying the Babylon, and they dwelt there. So they went there to Shiner, they dwelt. Whose day? Well We're talking about the Noah's Noah's family, you know, and they said to one another, Go to let us make brick and burn them throughout. And they had brick for stone, slime, and they made mortar. So we're getting ready to set up the context around building the Tower of Babel and Nimrod having the Indication based what I've seen in the Hebrew writing and what I've seen in our American Bibles. there's a couple outside camps that'll say that it wasn't Nimrod, but yes in in all actuality, if you look at the overall scholarly consensus is Nimrod is going to be behind this. And I think I did a character study on him this morning. I said it out on Facebook. But anyways, yeah, so the And they said to one, let's make brick. So they they didn't, okay, so I want you to think about this. and they said, let's go. So they're gonna make when they say they're making brick, they're gonna burn them thoroughly. I want to point out here that the reason that they're heating it up and burning it is because they want to build quickly. See, if you i i we know that when we talk about when they're in Egypt, they lay them out in the sun and they bake. It takes time for them to set up. Here, if they burn them, they can make them quicker, and then they can build their tower much, much faster. So I just want to point that out. and let's say in the out of so out of the brick for stone and slime they had it for mortar. And they said, Go to okay, go to let us build us a city and tower, and a tower, who whose top may reach unto the heavens. And let us make a name let the looking for fame right now. Okay. You know, that's that's pride. I'm gonna be the best. We are we be scattered abroad upon the face of the face of the face of the earth. Face if the face of the earth of the whole earth. A little difficult to read that. but let's talk about these these first four verses real quick. So two major facts about these things we're looking at, just coming right at us, is the human history. they had one language, they moved and migrated in mass as a whole civilization for some reason, and then to the land of shiner. So they they are moving. the other point I make out is the tragic mistake of sin that human race itself is building a secular city and false worship. They'll They'll worship pagans and that's the number one thing that people don't realize is a lot of this stuff back then, I mean, they would they would have all kinds of pagan gods that they would worship. a point to that would be their excitement and commitment to the prize. They were excited to build a tower to heaven, excited to be well known and famous. the secular purpose was again gain fame. Their worldly purpose is to gain the security apart. From God and then the religious purpose to reach the heavens by themselves. Folks, that's a dangerous place when you want to be above God. The point here is just to make sure that you you kind of get these first four verses. And then he goes on to say in verse 5, And the Lord came down to see the city in the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, I the people is one, and they have all one language, and this day begin to do so, and now nothing will be restrained from them, which They have imagines to do. So they were capable of doing many things, and God is pointing that out here. Go to and let us let us go down, and they're confound. I would say that's the hierarchy in heaven. There's there's different levels of angels and different levels of authority in heaven. Let us go down and confound them in their language, and so they don't understand each other is the goal. And so God so the Lord, now you got the Lord, which we talked about the God and Lord, L-O-R-D is what? Is an indicator of Jesus. So scattered them abroad from the thence from thence upon the face of the earth, and they left off to build a city. Therefore is the name of the of it called Babel, because the Lord didn't did there con confound the language. of all the earth and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth. So we get we get the sense here, there's an intervention here. we get the sense that God is restraining man and man's godliness for purpose. God excuse me, God saw a secular city trying to being born or being built, excuse me, and a false religion coming behind it. And Number one, it was he saw their unity and single mindedness. And number two, he saw that their one language was a concern. He saw that their great capability, they had great capabilities. So pride, he's seeing the imagination. God pronounced his verdict. Right? He was going to confound them. Restrain man's evil purposes. And then he was going to confuse them with the language. God restrained man's evil purpose. He scattered them. Okay. And he stopped their secular empire and religion, kind of just broke them all up. And then we learn that the eternal memorial to God's power is a very the very name of Babel, Babylon, the di the different languages and nationalities of the world. So they're gonna, and we talked about last chapter, I showed you that map. They're gonna go out and about in the world and they're gonna start their their cities. And, you know, a lot of it was, you know, why did this happen? For some reason Nimrod wanted a kingdom for a people himself. And you know, there's things I've read some things on him. He he you know, he bully he was a bully. He was he was a bully and he was a big strong man. He was a great hunter and people feared him. And So he got what he wanted through fear and intimidation and being a bully. So he wasn't really a nice guy. and then that day, you know, when we think of Babylon and and Shinar, they the land was probably fertile for them to be able to build. Maybe that was another reason why they were looking in that area. But or or he was looking just to to expand his his empire. And I I would tend to believe that would be one of his things. that he was f he was faced with. So so we can look at the the people's tragic mistake in the sin is secular city and false worship of the tower. So we get a sense that the whole earth was one language, one speech, and we mentioned that. to communicate. what was the point that is being made here is that people are enabled to be able to communicate with each other and that one language, one speech speech really took away any confusion. You know, it's kind of like when I when I talk, you know, when we have relationships and I'll just spin here for a minute, but a lot of times if we just communicate effectively, if we learn to be good communicators, we tend to in better better situation with our spouses, our family members, or whoever, even our children, if we are good communicators and teach them to be good communicators as well. So very important. the Babel, Babel City, you know, and then come let us make the bricks. and come let us build for ourselves our own city. So being very prideful. Just I'm gonna build my own thing, I'm gonna do my own thing. And I'm gonna be I'm gonna be a God. So they were looking for that fame, that recognition, Reputation, the honor, the glory, things on that line. you gotta think about some of these things that they're setting up. They're man. God's nowhere in the purpose on this, and nobody he's not around, and he's he's doing this all on his own. So what was man really doing? He was rebelling. That's what he was doing. He's rebelling against God. He's not not having that relationship, he's gonna do it on his own. I don't need anybody. You ever heard that? I can do it myself. You've heard that before. You know, so the people had a purpose to build the building and the great tower. So they set a purpose together, they could communicate very well, and they were able to they had the capability and God knew that. So he you know, the whole thing was they were out to gain the security, protect themselves, so on and so forth. So back in that time frame, putting up walls and building a city was almost guaranteed you a little bit more safety than you would if you were out on the open plain. And this is kind of the the thinking behind the towel as I mean the tower as well. So they would mass up and do it that way and there would be a great city. Now remember that there was a lot of takeover. What is what do I mean? That means that certain kingdoms or certain regions would try to take the next region over if they had a fight against them, they didn't like or or Or they wanted their land, they wanted their people, they wanted their animals, whatever it was. it was always the strong get stronger, if you will, and the weak get weaker. But that was the time frame that they were living in. It's survival mode, really. So when we leave God out in search for our own security, things go bad for us, folks. Denying God's part in the security and unity, knowing that God can protect you. I He can protect you with the Holy Spirit that indwells. They didn't have that back then. They didn't have that. They had the atoning sacrifices in the priests. See, they had to have a priest. in the temples and th those will come later the tabernacle so how you live today with hopefully continuing in the faith and and and living for god and and just you know being the best person he can doing the things he asked you to do be obedient do all those things. I was I was listening to a I guess that was that it was the older brother of John MacArthur who passed away this year. and he was a godly man and We we probably disagreed on a on a few of the theological things, but I thought he was pretty good pretty good overall and I just didn't agree with the Calvinism part of it. But doesn't mean that that that that's not gonna keep anybody out of heaven. Those are just that's kinda like I wear blue, you wear yellow type thing or red. But he said his son said this, he said, My dad's last words to me Continue in the faith, son. Just continue in the faith. Folks, that's strong language right there. And he he started singing the psalm that said, death, where are you? Where is thou sting? That's what his son was saying in the eulogy. So, anyways, I can say that when I watched my mom pass and she d she passed in my arms, and her she you know. was in her arms when I took my first breath. She I mean she was in my arms when she took her last breath. And it was an honor for me to do that. I was a mama's boy anyway, so just so you know. And knew where she was going. She was she was not trying to rush out the door to get there, but she had a very comfortable presence about herself of security. She we she knew who she was. Folks as a Christian, you have to know where you put your faith, hope, and trust in you have to put your security in something. When you do that, life gets a whole lot better. That's why I always tell people I don't know why people want to fight against something that's been proven. It's been proven over and over and over. And it's real. And everybody w you know pe the I find the ignorant people, those ignorant meaning you don't know, making statements like that's a that's a fairy tale or yeah whatever and all this other stuff. Folks, listen to me and listen good. I don't waste anybody's time. I do everything for free. So I don't want any money. Nobody can bribe me. Nobody can give me money. Nobody's telling me what to say. This is our channel. This is our nonprofit. This is through I believe through the will of God to communicate with people and use the talents that I have and the study habits to show people what's out there. Now, that's all I'm gonna do. That's all I can do. The Holy Spirit does the work. And if you were you you quench that spirit or you don't want anything to do with it, that's on you. That's not gonna be you can't say when you get to to heaven and and and you're standing at the judgment seat and Jesus says, Why should I let you in? And you're gonna go I didn't know about this. You know, why what's the deal? What's going on up here? You're not gonna be able to do that. You're gonna say, Yeah, I knew I knew about you, but you were a fairy tale, and it's not gonna be a fairy tale when you're standing up there in heaven. I don't I find the big billy bad boys, the big bad billy boy atheists and the ones that want to s just fight against it and say it's not true, it's because They don't want to submit to something that's true. And because they can't see it, it's a fairy tale. Remember the the story of Jesus on the on the the Beatitudes. Blessed is the meek, blessed is he. And then the ones that can't see that do, the faith of a of a of a person, those are the ones that believe without seeing. That's why we are gonna be so powerful in heaven judging angels because I mean I'm talking fallen angels, ones that fall into sin. And and and I don't wanna be judging my family, I can tell you that. But we'll be judging people and angels, and that's the believer. Why? All through the Old Testament they didn't believe. All through the gospels, they crucified the Savior. All through the the Bible, up until Romans, they were Paul coming into play, they rebuked him, they didn't believe him. They and I mean they, I'm talking about Israel. I'm talking about the the people. And there's many people outside of that don't believe, but I'm just saying in general they didn't believe and they they just Man, I can't imagine there I can't I mean, well, I can't I can, but you know, what you know, it's kinda like that when the the s centurion when he stabbed so so normally when you're on the cross, this is the way they do these horrible crucifixions. Three people on the cross. So Christ is on the cross, the weather's starting to stir up, it's getting dark because he's he's he's he's passed and God and the reason it got dark was because God left him. He was so sinful he had taken on all the sins of the world. God can't be around sin. So he left his son on the cross and he it was all dark. You start in Isaiah fifty three and you start going through it where you know the centurion stabs him in the side. This stuff two thousand years or sixteen hundred years before this is being prophesied or being said will happen, that did happen. I put a meme out, I think, a couple weeks ago that talked about thirty-five things that had already come true with Jesus coming. That's historical. And when the centurion saw that he looked up and he instead of normally what they do is they break the the feet before you know if there's a big storm coming they're gonna get of there and plus they want to a lot of the Jewish culture is to have them buried very quickly. Another reason for that is the body stinks. They don't have refrigerators, things on that. So they normally swing the axe or swing the mallet and they break the legs So you have to fall because they're ho being held up by this little thing. So when he breaks it, it's gonna it you're gonna it kills you. So he didn't get his legs break broke. He was stabbed in the side, and and then that's when the whole the the Satarian said, This is truly the Messiah. Folks, Isaiah said nobody will break a bone on on Jesus. And nobody did break a bone. But normally they do on crucifixion. Why is that true? I made that up. No, I didn't. It's the Bible. So it's not a fairy tale. And the more you push back on it and don't want anything to do with it, and I have pretty plenty of friends and colleagues, unfortunately, take that position. all I can do is give you the message. I'm not I'm not the the one that does the work, it's the grace given to you by God. So let's keep on going. So this is just walking through nine. We just finished up. pieces of that and so there's a lot of mistakes I think are tragic mistakes today that most people will make and today most people still try to reach God by their own works on their own their own efforts by their own goodness and morality. Goodness gracious if I had a nickel for every single time I asked somebody why should God let you go to heaven? and the first response is I'm a good person. I'm a good person. My father was a pastor. Would you go to church now? No, I don't. I'm not telling you to go to church. I'm not telling you to put money in the offering. That is that is that that is the church ecclesia. That is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about believing on something that's true. And that's where it starts. It's believing in something you can't see. It starts with a belief. It's it's believing and repenting and saying, I know I'm a I'm I'm a sinner. If He was the only one that came to earth and he died for us and he was without spot he was without spot and blemish. He was the perfect sacrifice. And I'm not that. I'm I'm not that. I should I'm my sins put should put me on the cross, but he died for me. So what does that mean? It means because he died for me, that past, present, and future sins have been taken care of. Now Paul talks about should I go out and keep sinning? Well, if he took care of me here. yeah, I'll go out and sin a little bit more and I'll go ask him to forgive me again. That's not how it works, folks. Doesn't work that way. You truly know God and you spend time in his word and you learn what he wants you to to learn and have that relationship, that's where you're gonna get the benefit. That's where the peace starts coming in and and and having a a very strong sense. I just think of my mother, I think of John MacArthur and his son talking about it. You can see the the you can see the the calmness on these people when they're going through these, you know, terrible what is the number one thing people fear is death. That's why he had to die. He took the sins of the world because of of what happened in Genesis, in Genesis basically, with the with the fruit. And he has to go to he's he's gotta go to the cross to forgive us. To get us to go back into the Garden of Eden to live forever and be in eternity. And that was planned from the beginning of time after sin entered the world. I'm not gonna cloud that up. I'm making that as simple as I can to let you know that it's a fact of belief. You have to believe. And you have to believe that you know, I'm not a good guy. I'm not the best guy. I I I pick on this person or I always think these thoughts and you know, I'm always doing things I shouldn't be doing and And I always ask myself personally, am I glorifying dog by my works? And and you know what the answer is most of the time? No. No. But I recognize it and I don't keep doing it. I keep praying for God to help me with something if if there's something I'm dealing with. And that's because we have all these emotions and we have these these different things in our lives. So but death is the number one fear of the world. I can tell you as a chaplain, I've worked in hospice. I've worked in the hospital. Typically, comp it's called comfort measures only. That's we're giving you morphine and we're waiting for you to starve to death and dehydrate and die. I just said it. And I guess that's the humane way of doing it without pain. So that's how it happens. That's how you're gonna be at the end of your life if you're still alive, unless you get hit by a truck. So when I go in there and I see people, even though they are they're dying, they're they're they fight. breath. They fight like crazy. A lot of them fight as hard as you can imagine. To what? Live. To get another breath. That's what they do at the end of your life when you're dying. When there's nothing left for you, that's how you're going to go out this world. Struggling and fighting in or you can go out this life like my mother did, calm and peaceful. Just went just went to sleep. Stop breathing. But I see people struggle because they don't want to die. That's the biggest fear people have. Well, you have a king, or I shouldn't say that, you have Lord and Savior that has come and he has conquered it. And you will just switch places one day when that day comes, and you'll do it peaceful, like my mom did. Just an analogy, just giving it to you from that standpoint. So let's get into verse 10. These are the generations of Shem. Shem was basically a hundred years old and begat at Arphax two years after the flood. Shem lived after he begat or had a son of Aphax five hundred years and then Aphrax lived five hundred and thirty why is this important? In the Jewish culture, and I'll show you. In the Jewish culture, and I'm I'm I'm reading the Chumayash right now, but this is really the Torah, first five books of the Bible. I have many others up here that have the Tanakh and some other stuff, but they are meticulously keeping track of everything. I mean, their chronological timelines will say, Okay, Adam was born. Year one died, year nine thirty. Let me go down here. Shem, I just said he died, right? You know what year that is? The Jewish people are very good at keeping track of stuff. Shem, he lived 600 years and he was born in fifteen fifty-eight BC and he died. Backwards, right? No, yeah. Twenty one twenty-one fifty-eight. Counting down BC is down. So 20. So you I have to keep track because even the books are back. The books and pages are not the same as the regular one. So some of the way they line these up. So so Shem lives 600 years. So two 2158 BC to 1558 BC. Then we see Jacob was born 2255 BC and he dies twenty-one eight BC. and he lived 147 years. So they were coming down. The the the big, you know, Ms. Methuselah was living nine hundred some odd years old, and God was long suffering, and he did not kill or basically Wipe out man until everybody had the opportunity. They had opportunities, folks. You have opportunities today. I implore you. If you know me. You I don't know how else to say it. That you have to I mean and and and I encourage you to read the Bible for yourself. But people want it, it's easy button. Let me pick on it. Let's have fun with it. Look at that crispy Christian crispy over there. Folks, that's not a good place to be. It's not a fairy tale. The macho guys that are running around thinking, I'm Bailey bad boy, I'm an atheist, and all this other stuff. I'm gonna tell you that. That is the wrong camp to be in. And I don't want anybody to be separated from from God in in the future. I want them all, I want us all together, especially our families. All right. So let's get into this. So 10 says, These are the generations, and we just talked about a little bit of them. Aphrax lived and he begat Salah and 400 years, three years, and begat sons and daughters. So there were sons and daughters, and Salah lived and he begat Ever 403, begat sons and daughters, and Eber lived 430 years, and he begat Peleg. And then Eber, so the lineage, you're getting a point here, the lineage they're able to tell people my father was Pelag. And in the lineage that's being recorded throughout the history of Israel is able to discern exactly. What they're saying in terms of credibility. It's kind of like you know, we use a birth certificate for credibility. They're using this for credibility. All right, so Pele lived lived 30 years, begat Rue, so at 30 he had a child. Peleg lived and begat Ren in 209 years and begot sons and daughters, and Rey lived two and thirty. and at thirty begat Sareg, and Ru lived after he begat Sareg and 207 years and begot sons and daughters, and Sareg lived thirty years and begot Nahor. Now remember, they talk about the firstborn and they talk about the boys, and I was in that culture for in the Middle East you know, pretty much almost almost a year over there, and I could tell you that boys are. the Michael Jordans of families. Girls, not so much. They could almost really care less. They're really not they don't care about the fever. The women walk X amount of paces behind him, probably 10 or 15 feet behind him, with the girls. The boy, the man walks up front with the girl with the with with the baby or the boy, or whoever the boy is. It's a big deal for a boy to carry the name on. That's why it's so important. That's why we're reading this. And Nahor, that's the lineage. Remember, Christ comes through this lineage. And Nahor 200 years, and he begot sons and daughters, and Nahor looked 920 years, and he begot Tara. Nahor lived and begot Terah a hundred and nineteen years and begot sons and daughters. And Terah lived seventy years and begot Abraham and Nahor and Haran. And one of the facts here is it's particularly the son of Noah Shem was chosen to continue the promised seed. They're the ones that were chosen. Remember, Noah was righteous in the eyes of God, his son Shem was. is the one that is carrying the lineage on. The other fact behind that is the genealogy of the Bible lists descendants, not necessarily their sons. so some of these genealogies of the Bible list the descendants descendants, but not necessarily a son. I guess Maybe they had they didn't have children. I don't know. That that kind of that's kind of wanky there. I know why. no personal information is given on these fathers that are listed in the genealogy, and the genealogy in the Bible sometimes lists the most important son or the ancestor, not necessarily Abraham's, like I was telling him. So yeah. So as we read some of these people I'm talking about, they may not have a significant role in the Bible or wasn't used to carry on the line or just was used for the carry on the line. So there was nothing really exciting about that. but anyway, so that covers a that covers a vast knowledge or or genealogy of the family. So let's let's get to let's read twenty seven. This is the preservation of the promised seed. Now these are the generations of terrah. Tera begot Abraham, Nahor, and Haron, and Haron begot Lot. And Haran died before his father Tera in the land in his native nativity of Ur of the Chaldees. And Abraham and Nur and Nahor took their wives and the name of their Abraham's wife was Sarai, and we know is Sarah. and the name of Nahor's wife was Milkah and the daughter of Haran and the father of Milkah and the father of Ikah, yeah, Iskah. And Sira Sarai was barren for she had no child, and Terah took Abraham's son and Lot to the son of Haran His son's son and Sarai's daughter in law and his son Abraham's wife, and they went forth with them from Earth, the Chaldees, to go to the land of Canaan. And they came to Haran, which is just north of the Dead Sea, up up top towards Turkey, and dwelt there. And the days they kind of went to like a V, if you remember the map. Ur's down here and they go up and then they come down. And what's important about that is from from from that place from Heron down to Ur, that was like the intercoastal highway for moving goods and people and services at that time. Kind of like the main drag or the main strip. Same way with it going to the ocean from Heron all the way through down to the coastal side. Those are main arteries to move the populations through. so yeah, so then then the days of terror was 200 and five years, and terra died in Haran. So again, this is talking about the godly seed, the seed we know Abraham, Nahor, and Haran, the first three sons. And then we see that Haran, La, Ur of the Chaldees, Terah, the parents, the fathers, and their influence. of how they're in there. This is again this is the birth certificates, if you will, of these people. And that's how they communicated with each other with lineage, like who's your dad? You ever been somewhere somebody gave well what's your last name? Who's your dad? Lot lived selfish and he lived a carnal life. He he Even though he was the nephew, but he chose among the ungodly on the on this earth and the godly believer, among the godly believers. He offered his daughters to the mob for the sex sex craved men, in order to save himself and his guests. So he was putting his kids up for that. And so he didn't sound too nice. And then he was such a poor example before his daughters, they got him drunk and they lied with him, and then they conceived to attempt to bear children. So he wasn't a good guy. So n so a parent can have a good influence on on on their kids. You have that ability when they're young to be able to do that. When verse thirty-one tells us that Nahor did not journey to with Abraham and Tarah to the promised land of Canaan, in verse thirty-one, well, that's it later, a little bit later, but God and Abra of Abraham and God and Noor Nor, Nahor and the God of their fathers, the judge betwixt or between them, and they the Jacob was sworn by the fear of God of his father Isaac. And we'll we learn that later about Isaac. But this lineage. My whole point to this is to give you a breakdown of how this lineage and promise seeds and how this went through different people in in the Bible in that time frame. And I think that a lot of times, you know, we we read Genesis and we just finished chapter eleven, but because it was talking about Linus, they're setting up the reasons, reasons why we are being told these people, because some of these people are gonna be used in the future and we're gonna hear in our reading in the Bible. They're in the Bible, they're Some of them are significant, some of them are not significant. But the key is, as we read, as we read line by line, there was to talk about the families and all these things. Sometimes it's good to go in there and break it out. It's good to go in there and find some dig in there and dig it out a little bit and get some information that will help you or add some color to the conversation and enlighten you, maybe. God shows you something. But anyways, so that was my goal. My goal is to keep. walking you through it and when we get together again we are going to talk about chapter twelve this is the call to abram eventually it will be abraham but abram he'll be called and one of the yeah he's he's both the forefather of the Jews and the Arabs so we'll learn we'll learn a little bit about him because remember he had Isaac or excuse me, Ishmael Ishmael, and he has Isaac. Isaac is the Jewish lineage and Abraham or Ishmael is the Arab side. So that is the lineage of Abraham. So he's the father of both nations, Abraham. the chosen one is obviously Isaac in going through this. So so Isaac is the first Jew, first Jewish of the human ra that human race. Ishmael is the first Arab of that n of that nation. Does that make sense? He may knew that, maybe you didn't know that. I hope it it enlightened you a little bit. But that's you know, sometimes you gotta go to figure out how did this all start? Why we we turn on the news and we see all this stuff in the Middle East, and I'm teaching you from the bottom base up on how the they got established, who was the fathers, all these things. I know it's a lot to take in. I'm not expecting anybody to to pass a test, but to maybe get one or two things out of it and get some nuggets to help you understand We live we live and serve a mighty God that was planned and purposed through the whole thing.
