Dr Dean Alley PhD: All right, Chaplain Dean Alley here. I had a moment. So just talk about a couple things. I hope you're doing well today. So the first video I kind of talked to you about was we talked about Genesis one two, and we of talked about kind of some high-level stuff, and then I introduced you to gap theory. again, it's for you to rightly divide. And The purpose is to kind of educate you from a to Revelation overview. I you some maps of what that looked like in the dispensations. And you remember ⁓ we talked about timelines like from Adam to Abraham to Isaac Jacob to David. And then the Messiah, those that that kingdom reign, right? Is what I was showing you guys. And then the other thing that wanted to do Today it just kind of go through and brings bring some more of the highlights out. you know the best way to do that, so we start with the Bible. Let's pray. Do you know the Father, Lord? Thank you for this day. God, show me the things you want me to say. Keep the things that you don't want me to say from saying, Lord. Lift lift the hearer up, the people that are hearing this, that it it it it yields fruit, Lord. And ⁓ we thank you, Lord. We thank you for your sovereignty and your dominion over us, Lord. We love you and thank you in Jesus' precious name. Amen. All right. So let's get into it. so and if think about it, it was written basically to where? Israel. Now you've heard me say that was the origin, and then you've heard you've heard me say that Old Testament gospels, Peter, John, James, Jude, Revelations was written to Israel, I would say the eleventh or twelfth chapter of Acts through Philemon and he and I would say he ⁓ Hebrew Hebrews I think Paul wrote was written to the Gentile believer that has been now grafted in to to to God's family. So we basically where Israel has rejected them, we have actually now been grafted into his people, his seed, his people. And can say this that I I believe that when we are and I do believe in a rapture, that when we do come back and with the and we take out everything and d everybody and then that thousand year reign where Israel will have that opportunity to say yes he is my Messiah or or whatever but they are definitely in my opinion being fooled. they're they're relying into some of their their heritage, their traditions and put way much focus on those traditions in my opinion. That's what the the Jewish people, the Orthodox Jew, is putting a lot of that and I'm not saying they're not good, because I think there's and I have a lot of them back here. So there's really good things out of there you can pull that God can show you ⁓ we can use the Old Testament, the Gospels, and we can use the latter parts of John, Peter and everybody that That can be devotional for us. That could be learning. That could pre that could be precept. That could be things that are fruitful in our lives. However, in the context of things, it was written to Israel. Peter, or excuse me, Paul becomes the basically the apostle for the Gentile. And that's where we learn about grace. We learn about faith, belief, and entrusting for the gospel. And we see that in First Corinthians one through four, five and six is a true picture of what the true gospel was. Now, the gospel that was given in in in in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is no way, shape, or form removed. It is now we're grafted in together those two. There was no def th certainly there's a difference. you know in terms of how it was presented. But the gospel itself and the message is still there. It's still one gospel we are now grafted in, ⁓ the current, I would say, the current way to share the gospel with people and teach about Jesus. And it's all about Jesus, it's about what he did for us, it's about preaching the cross, and it's about us having a belief in a faith. And entrusting who He is for our salvation and then sharing that with other people. Now, once you get to that point, okay, and you have accepted Jesus as your personal savior, folks, you gotta get it get into a good Bible-based church, get you some good teaching out of what the Bible and grow, Because you're babes and you grow, and once you grow in your Your walk with God with other believers believe with you, you're gonna grow and gonna continue to mature and continue to it's a lifetime journey. Okay. You are gonna study the Bible for a lifetime. Every time you open it up, God's gonna show you something new. Yes, you're gonna remember the high levels, you're gonna remember the high level stories of David and the Goliath and Noah and the boat. You're gonna remember that. That's that's no But I'm saying, but once you get into those stories and start reading them, you really get a better understanding of what God's trying to show us. So my intention is simply to walk through. I'm in Genesis, gonna walk through it, pick out some pieces that might want to share, but at the same time, I don't want to get too, I don't want to go, I want to say it's gonna be verse by verse because it takes a long time, but I'm gonna I'm gonna try to read these verses as they apply. And certainly you have any questions, please do not hesitate. you can send me ⁓ a message and I would love to talk about it, but it's important. So as we kick it off here, we know that Moses wrote Genesis, right? We know that. And know that it was either during the years of when he was with Pharaoh or he or or It was even I I guess either during the years he was in Pharaoh's court in Rhoda. We don't know precisely, or during years of the wilderness when he was wandering. And we know before 1487, and some would say 1407 1407 or 1487, but we know it's before that time frame because we have some historical records now. I will tell you, I have a ⁓ dear friend of mine. I watched one of his videos the other day, pastor and and very very very good stuff. But like he said, you gotta put the Bible in the context. I've given it from the old testament gospels to the latter apostles. Revelation is what? The revelation of Jesus Christ. So you would look at it from historical standpoint you're you're gonna look at it you know some context around it put some color into it you're gonna wanna understand what you are reading and grow from that ⁓ it is exciting because if you're praying for God's will in your life to learn and open the the scriptures I gotta tell you that you will desire and you will seek the sincere milk and I say that for the for the With the new people, but I still consider myself a big and I've been studying for better part of ten years and Every day. Folks, you gotta get into the word every day. I know it's hard. Even if you read a Psalms, read it out loud. That's a lot of power. So anyway, so we know Moses, he lived what 120 years. He had 40 years. He was in Egypt, right? Remember, he kills the Egyptian. he runs away. That's where he he meets his father in law. we we know that he also spent time in Midian. Midian is Another 40 years, that's where he where he ⁓ he meets his wife, and he spent 40 years leading Israel where out of the out of the wilderness. So we know that because Deuteronomy us that. So we know that he essentially lived his whole life 120 years. Think about that. 40, 40, and 40, ⁓ and he went to leave. And I love Moses. Moses always. one of my favorite characters of the Bible his leadership and how he did you know he's the he he basically led them and people would say upwards to two million and some have even said up to seven million coming out of Israel and I think about the the the verses here when we see we get to Abraham and he says I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna multiply your seed and make many nations from you and I Gotta be honest with you, that that would be something impressive to watch. Because think about it, only seventy souls go into Egypt, right? that's where that's that that's down the road, we'll get to it, but that's where Jacob or Joseph he sold to these gypsies ⁓ and traders and the they trade they sell them to an Egyptian person that had ⁓ power. essentially then is then then he brings his father and his brothers and things on that line. But only seventy went in to Israel and or Egypt. I'm sorry, excuse me. But upwards of two to seven million came out. That's powerful. And if you think about it, when they in in the book of Numbers it talks about how the y they did a sent censor they censored or a census is what they call it. They basically would track and see how many young men that could go fight when they because they started that that that numbers thing before they got to the promised land. Why? Because they're gonna have to go in there and fight and remove people. And was over six hundred thousand young men from the ages twenty to to whatever it was that had to get to have over six hundred young men, you've got to have a large amount of people coming out of Israel. So when I think about that and I think about the pieces that go in behind that, it's it's amazing. It has to be up there, has to be large amounts of money of numbers to be able to generate that many individuals. So again, I mean just the stories are incredible and there's some great learning there. All right. So So we know the truth where it comes from. God, He God basically this is where the human race in general is where it comes from. But I would say that the truth of their origin, where they came from, so knowing where Israel's coming from, knowing their coming, where where it comes, and and again, this is early part, this is before we're gonna talk about the beginning here, but. Israel and and how it get ⁓ got to where it is and what that that progressive way of developing a a great nation of Israel what it is today. What's amazing about Israel, and there's a couple things I would say is They still have the same language they had back then, essentially. Now there's some slang in there, like Aramaic was like a little different slang. It's kind of like talk to somebody up in New England, they would say something on the lines of, I had to pack my calf. That is a little bit different language, but you come down south, they're gonna say something different. You go to Chicago, they'll say something different. So there's a little little bit of The origin of where that that person lives and their language. Well, it's the same way in the Bible. So you have the Hebrew, then you have Aramaic, which we know Jesus spoke of, and then you had the Greek. And if you think about it, first part of the Bible is all about Israel and the Old Testament. when we get into the New Testament, you see the kings that conquer Israel, and that's where those languages come into play. Because once you're taking over and you're You're captured, and you are now captured of the Babylonians, and then the Assyrians, and then it ⁓ was Egyptians, Babylonians, then it was the Assyrians, and then we know the Greek piece came into play. Antiochus that occupied Jerusalem, and with it came their way communicating and the way they spoke. So Therefore that's where you get the Greek and you get some of that Hellenistic Greek interpretation. So that's kind of how the language is good. But what's amazing about it is the fact that it's still prevalent today. I know there's a difference between Bible Hebrew and a little difference from the way it's taught and spoke today, but that's no different than think about it when we were reading the King James. King James had a certain way, more of a I would think of a sort of more of a theatrical time frame, but that's how they spoke when they developed, you know, the ye's, yes, and all that stuff. That is how those folks spoke when they were putting the Bible together. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say over fifteen hundred years, over was it 40 different authors, three continents, three languages, complete continents, by the way. Not all together. So unlike I just went across the street and got his information. No, no, we're talking it was it was vastly different and how that all came together. But to where it is for us today is the complete word and how it came together. You cannot dispel that folks. I don't care who you are. This Bible has been around and it this book has been around longer than any other book there ever was written. It is the most popular all selling book in the world. Now I got people that say all day long, Yeah, the Bible's full of fairy tales and stuff. That stuff never happened. Are you sure? Because it's not only just talking about the characters characters, And it talks about the time frames. It's a history book as well. is a documentary in some cases. there is a lot of things in here that are not in what you would call, or somebody would say it's a fairy tale. It's not a fairy tale. if you spent any time reading this book, and I would challenge it. I would challenge it. Go get a Bible and go read Romans three times. Paul writes Romans, right? Read it three times and answer the. sit I want you to read it out loud and read it very slow. And you tell me if that sounds like it's a fairy tale. And it is it is it's the same. as it progressed into BC to AD or current E or current era to where we are today. And it came together because it was inspired by who? God. God inspired men, faithful men of God, to write these Bible, this this Bible. And I ⁓ can't, you people dispel. So that's always the first place you have to start. What does the Bible? This is a question you have to ask yourself. the Bible the true word of God? You have to ask yourself that. Because if you don't ask yourself that, you can't get past anything else. Because if you say, well, that story, I'm not really there. Now remember, there's figurative language, right? there there is hyperbole in there. There is you know, I mean, we know that symbolism is in there. So there's some things you have to take the Bible literal. where you can take the Bible literal and then there's some figurative things that you have to look at in symbolism. Certainly when you get into prophecy, especially your ⁓ Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel, and in a lot of symbolic stuff. In a world where we live. fast paced, everybody wants what they want. They want it this quick. I can go on to I can go to on Amazon and purchase something and be here in two days. We have learned we keep speeding up. We keep speeding up. Now you've got this thing AI, eventually super AI, which is even faster. remember, I'm just gonna tell you, the Bible says the foolishness of man, we're fools. And if we think that we are gonna be smarter than our creator, that's not gonna happen. We'll be destroyed before then, and he Allow it. He allowed the Babylonians, he allowed the Egyptians. God allows these things. You say, Well, if He's an all-loving God, Japel and Dean, why did he let women and children and all and and all these things and these people die and they had nothing to do with it? My first answer is I don't know. Two, we know that he is a just God. A just God is one that's going to impugn both righteousness. And he's gonna pass down judgment. He is the judge, he is the judge. He is the one that ⁓ is the maker of this world and everything in this world. He is sovereign and he has dominion over it. And we don't we are to follow what it says in here. If we're gonna sit there and s and and and say, Well, why did he do that? Why did he do that? Why do you I mean and turn into Debbie Downers every five minutes, instead of looking at the love of what he's done for us. And what we are to do to be thankful, and he's extended that to we would say eternity, and many people will disagree with me because they'll say, Well, I'm I'm agnostic, I'm atheist, I don't believe in all that stuff. I believe there's a God, but that's not you know, that's not the one of the Bible. Well, I can tell you this is the only one that said he's coming back. This is the only Bible and God and deity that says, 'I am coming back for you.' It's got All kinds of stuff. It's got love stories in there. It's got heartaches in there, it's got things that just are attractive. This ⁓ a nonfiction book. It's historical, it's got many different things that God wanted us to know. And as said before, when we get into Paul, and I talked about it a little bit, that Paul is the one that is writing to us, he's writing to the Gentiles and that was kept secret from the beginning of time. If you don't think the secrets can be held kept in the old testament, go to Deuteronomy twenty nine twenty nine. Go there and read that. And knew from the beginning that he was gonna have to save his people, and and what does he want? I mean, people go, Well, you know, I don't want to be bothered, I don't want this. Well, what ask yourself what does he want? So he wants He loves us so much that we should be loving him. So we should be loving him back, he wants a relationship of love, communication. He wants us to have fellowship and be with him. That's what he initially created, and that's what the Garden of Eden was absolutely what? Perfect. I think you're gonna see things in in in in the future after we leave this place, but it's gonna be spectacular and you can't explain it. And I think that a lot of times. People will look at it and they will take ⁓ like a Sadducee is a sect in Jude and they didn't believe in the afterlife. It was lived up now, let's live now, and there's people on this earth that are like Sadducees. Let's live for today, screw tomorrow, let the body get destroyed, whatever. But I'm saying there's examples of that and people are doubting. It is harder or it is, in my opinion, harder to say, I don't believe the Bible. Because of all of its things that have been discovered, archaeologists, things that we find, all these things. See, you're you're not if a normal average everyday person, if he's not spending time in the Bible, you're not going to get what God's trying to show you. And to start that relationship, it has to be with him. And that has to be what? He has to be, you have to submit. He's he is the authority, sovereign dominion over you. So if you can't get past the Bible and you can't get past the fact that there's a God that is more powerful than you and he loves you so much he's gonna let you make your decision whether or not you love him, there's a consequence. I say it all the time. I've said it to my kids for years. Some decisions you make in your life will last a lifetime. There it is. Some decisions you make in this lifetime will last an eternity. Think about that. So as we go through, I'm gonna break it out and I want to, I'm gonna just point out the things that are extremely important. So we know that in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void. And darkness was upon the face of the deep. All right. This is that gap that deep the face there was there was without a form, and it was void, empty. It was dark and upon the face of the deep. And that means the water, the oceans. That was and then the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the water. So we know that's a deep water. There was no land, no nothing. I believe that's from the first flood. Anyways, gap theory. So when I think about He says in the beginning, that's the beginning. Who created it? It was God. what did he create? He created the heavens and the earth, folks. what are the stages? Without form and void. It was dark. It was covered by water. By what? The spirit's activity, right? So we see that that's the basic start of the creation right there. And I just covered verse one and two. And then if you get into verse three, now we're starting to talk about the first day. So and God said, Let there be what? ⁓ Light. And there was what? Light. And then God said that it was good. Think about that. Let me stop for a moment. He said it was good. The Almighty Creator of this universe and world said it was good. Then he went on to say, and and then he says, and God divided the light from the darkness, and God called the light day and the darkness. He called night and the evening and the morn morning. were the first day. So you have evening and morn. So God creates He creates what? God said, first of all, and created light. God saw that his cre that his creation was good. It fulfilled its function, right? And then we said and then he says God God called the light, which is he named light and he named darkness and night, day and night. That was God. And then when we get into verse Six and God said, Let there be a firmament the midst of the water, and let it divide the waters from from the waters. So, and let it divide the waters from the waters. So, dividing the waters to the water. So, so he's creating the firmament, he's creating the atmosphere, he's creating air and space. And then he says here in verse seven, and God made the firmament and divided the water. Waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so. So you got God made the firmament. And then verse 8 says and God called the firmament heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. God named the firmament heaven. Think about that. So you got the creation. He created the heavens and the earth. He created light day and night. Then he creates the firmament, the atmosphere, air and space, the encircling of the earth. And then on the third day, we're going to see where he creates the waters and lakes and and how that how how that all comes together. So when we pick it up here. Right, so So I want to pick it up here nine. So God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together in one place and let the dry land appear, and it was what? So And God called the dry land earth, and he gathered together the waters, called the seas, and God saw it was what? Good. Our heavenly Father says it was good. God said, Let the earth bring forth grass and herb of seed, and the fruit trees yielding fruit after its kind, who the seed ⁓ ⁓ in itself upon the earth, and it was what? So verse twelve and the earth brought forth grass and herb, yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit after his. Whose seed was in itself after its kind. And God saw what? That it was good. Getting a theme? Verse 13. In the evening and the morning were what? The third day. So he's created the land and the sea, the plant life is now appearing. And know, we we we get the sense just looking at God's word, he created the plant life vegetation, and and its kind. So People say, well, he really say he developed the dandelion or the rose or of this other stuff. No, no, no, no, no. And it's You gotta catch that. Yielding fruit trees after his kind. So a pear tree yields a fruit of a pear, oranges, apples, so forth. You get my point here. Same way with the vegetation and plant life. it's the same thing. he brought forth the grass. He he he he takes in the herbs and seeds and then its kinds, right? The kinds. So there's different kinds of different grass out there. There's Bermuda, there's all kinds of different stuff. My point is he d he creates those. And then he created an actual fulfilled the earth became ⁓ became fruitful. And think the important thing as we get ready to go into God saw this creation was what? Good. We saw that theme there. And then we see on the fourth day, what does he do? The sun, moon, stars become visible. People say, well, you know, there's just no astrology, space, all of those universe things and multiple universe, all those things are intriguing. And there's nothing in this Bible that talks about it. I'm talking about it right now. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament in heaven, and divide the day by night, and let the s let down for signs and for seasons. Some people live in parts of the world that have four seasons, and then there's places that only have two seasons, or maybe just one season. I'm a four seasons guy. I like to see a little bit of a little bit from each of them. but he basically he sets the seasons and for days and the years, verse 15, and let them be for lights the firmament. Of heaven, firmament being the heaven, the atmosphere, to give light upon the earth, and it was so. So light is on earth now. Sun is very important for all of us, right? Vitamin what D, I think. One of the two. But it's good for us. You should have the sun. Should go out there. You should walk in the grass. You should put your face in the sun. You should appreciate and thank God for what you have. Think about that. And and then we see the sun, the moon, and let there be light in the firmament of heaven and divide them night and day. And then he goes on to say, And God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day. What's the greater light? And and the lesser light to rule the night, the moon. And then he made the stars also. So we got the sun, the moon, the stars. Verse 17. And God sent set them in the firmament of heaven, setting them up, right? To give light upon what? The earth. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was what, folks? Good. And in the evening, and in the morning are were the fourth day. So now you got morning and evening, day and night. The sun, the moon, you have stars. You see what your creator's doing? He's saying he's good. People say, you know, this world is going to heck. This world is going down. You know. There's a lot of sin in here because the the prince of principalities is certainly Satan and he has a desire to seek every of us every one of us and him with him. He knows the ending of the movie, if you want to call it that, our life. He knows the end, and it's not good for him. So his goal is to take as many people as he can with him. I would say this. I believe that when God created earth. And man and women, he wanted them to live forever. That's why there was the tree of life, there was no sin in the world. Okay. And would live and reign and have a relationship with who? God on earth. That's gonna come back, I think, as we get into revelations when he comes back and he takes care of Satan, I think, to the for forever. the last time. So he can't create the issues of sin. I don't think sin's gonna be. of an issue in the future. So he knows the ending. So the ending is God didn't didn't create hell for people. He said, Jonathan, what you talking about? God did not create hell for people. He had created this world for him to have a relationship and love him and enjoy the things that he gave us. And and enjoy the the the trees, the stars, the sun, the moon, all the things that he's and live forever. You got the tree of life. As you eat off of it, you live forever. Think about that. He doesn't talk well, well, I I gotta create hell here in in chapter two because you know sin enters. No, no. That becomes later. that has to be done because he initially just thought he was gonna have to take care of Satan and put him in hell. But Satan says, No, I'm not going alone. I'm gonna pull as many as I can with him. So, you know, as we look at this, and then think about the concepts of time. You know, you have the first watch, second watch, morning watch. the New Testament talks about first watch, which is six to nine. second watch is nine to twelve. The third watch is the cockbroke, that's from twelve to three AM, and the fourth watch is from three AM to six AM. That's in the New Testament. So and I only give you those Just to keep in mind that when we look at the dates and times of things, especially when we get to the crucifixion and then he's buried, we gotta know when the times of those days were recorded in that context. And you can't say, well The first hour, yeah, it's six AM. Well, that's not what it was. It's the first hour was six PM to nine. So that's what I'm saying. So I'm trying to set the context. I'm trying to give you the color what's going on and why it's important to know these things. It's important to know the context, know who you're talking about. What are we talking about? What are we talking about? We're talking about the creation. We're talking about It was good. It fulfilled what? The function. You know, you hear it all the time. I say it all the time. My house is functional. What does that mean? It means it works for me. That's what it means. it works for ⁓ It's functional. So I see it as functional and he's functionally creating the world, right? As we go. So God created in distributed light. Upon the earth, you need you need light. we know we talked about the moon and the stars. His creation, he fulfilled it functionally, right? And then let's see, I read here to the fourth day was even. So picking it up at verse 20, God's word created the air created. So let me say the fifth day was animal life, and it said, And said, Let the waters bring forth To move creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of the heavens. So the birds flying. So we have the birds, the clouds, and the heavens. And the cre and God created what? The great whales and every living creature that moveth which the water brought forth abundantly their kind and every winged fowl after his kind. And God saw what? It was good. So he's created marine life, he's created the birds, he's created you know See winged fowls the air. God bless them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply. So what He's creating, He's saying, Be be ⁓ be multiplying, the waters in the seas, and the fowl multiply on the earth, and evening and day and morning were a fifth day. And then the sixth day he talks about and God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creatures that kind cattle, creeping things, beasts of Earth after his kind, and it was so basically animals. Okay, and he said, What is good? So you notice the theme of good, good, good, good as we get through this and we're going. You know, this earth was good, and he was creating it for us. he was making these land animals, and he was making them in kind. God said, God made, God saw. We see that theme. Who is the creator, folks? It's God. And we know that because that's what the Bible tells us, right? So as we go through this, and I just read through twenty five and kind. And and God made the beast of the earth and his kind and the cattle and their kind, every creepy thing on the earth and his kind. When he says his kind is it's more than one type of animal. Okay. So have different species, right? That's what he's talking about here. the sixth day, this is where we get we start picking up this is where man comes into the picture. It's the sixth day. And God said, let us make man in what? Our image. Let me stop. means plural. There has to be more than one. And gotta think about it when we start thinking about No people get twisted over the fact that the you know there's ⁓ there's God, there's Jesus and the Holy Spirit. People call it the Trinity, the triune. but our gives you the sense is a plural. So it's not just one God. So if you're part of the Muslim Brotherhood and you have one God, you're already been you've been dispelled already. Because our is plural. That tells you that that is not you can't have a We have one God but three persons and they all form a function. So Alright, so let's see. Let us make man. This gives us an account of the creation of man, in particular, reveals a couple facts. Man was created, he wasn't involved. That's the first thing. So Darwin, you're gone. Second thing, expressly declared the declaration that confirmed by Christ, because if you go to I think it's yeah, Matthew 19, he Jesus himself talks about it. So expressed there. and it's also confirms the unbridged chasm. Chasm is a deep or a dist. say if you stood on one mountain and there's another mountain, that valley would be a chasm. That means a distance from point A to point B chasm. So also confirmed the chasm between man and beast, and the highest beast had no God conscious or religious nature. So he's saying that Essentially when he creates the animals, they're not gonna have a they're not gonna have a mind to have a thought or a conscience of do So they aren't gonna be running around here guilty talking about. And number two, the man walked or was made in image in the likeness of what? And God said, Let us make man in our plural, our likeness, which gives us the sense that we're made of God. And I would say that would be a lot of the attributes. and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowls of the air, over the cattle, over the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon earth. So God created man in his own. Image in the image God created he in him. Male and female created he them. Okay, 27 solidifies. Is more than one gender? Male and female? Hmm. I have to say no based on this. all right, so I would say this the first and I and you know me, I'm a I'm a dispensation. So I'm gonna say the first dispensation is the innocence. And we see this in Genesis one twenty eight and I'll I'll read that going forward, but this this this area, this this this time That popped up. But again, I'm just read reading here. So I would say that Three important concepts in this dispensation. Number one, a deposit of divine revelation concerning God's will, the embody embodying what God requires man of his contact, number two, conduct conduct, conduct, number two, man's stewardship of divine revelation in which he is responsible to obey it, and a time period often called the age, during this divine revelation is dominant. in lasting of man's obedience. So this dispensations are progressive and they're connected to relate with God and they're related. dealings with man and giving the whole race and at other times to particular people who will who the word particular was Israel. And different dispensations are not separate from salvation. Okay? So during each of them man is reconciled to God in only one way, i.e. God's grace through the work of Christ, right? And then that was accomplished on the cross. And it's vindicated in his resurrec resurrection. So before the cross, man was saved and was a prospect of Christ's atoning sacrifices, right? So through believing is revelations thus far given him, since the cross has been made to save the believer on saved by believing on Jesus Christ and whom the revelation of redemption and the consummation. So man's part is continually part of this. the purpose of each death dispensation is to place man into a specific rule and conduct. So if I lived in Roman first century, is there a sort set of rules and context and and conduct that I would have to you heard the old saying when in Rome do his wrong. So this is kind of what we're talking about dispensation. So if I'm in the age of grace, am I doing what people are doing in the age of grace or innocence? So those are things that we have to think about. And it's just it's it's it's where man is and where they are this stewardship and they're not it's not a condition of salvation. it is in every past an ungenerated man has failed and failed in the present dispensation and will in the future. So Man's not capable, but salvation has been and will be continued to be available by b to him by who? God. God is grace, God's grace and through faith. Grace and faith. Belief. You hear me? Seven set dispensations are distinguished in the Bible. I'm gonna read them real quick. Number one is innocence. and then there's number two is the conscience and the moral responsibility. So we're in the age of innocence. The moral parts coming up where they sin and and the responsibility. Human government where we're gonna learn in still in Genesis, the promise in Genesis twelve. the law, which will be in Exodus nineteen, Moses introduces it, and then the church, which is in Acts two one. I tend to debate the actual date of the church, things a little bit later. I think it's it's I think it's at I think it's Paul. And add any o any on it, but that's okay. It's not gonna keep anybody out of heaven. And then lastly, the kingdom, which is the future of our eternal race. But it's important to note that God relates these dealings with mankind. So that is not a difficult assessment, in my opinion, to keep in mind. that this can be So those dispensations, folks. It's not difficult. Those are periods of time where man is dealt with in that time. And I think the books of life will be in those seven dispensations and you'll be judged according to the books. You can't judge me according to the books of innocence. I wasn't there. But can judge me in the in the books ⁓ of church age, and we're in it right now because that's what we're held to. So that first dispensation is so important, but let's just talk about that first. It's innocence. First dispensation of innocence. Remember, God creates light on day one. He creates the heaven above and the water below on day two. Day three, earth and its sea and its vegetation. Then we see in day four sun, moon, and stars. We see in day five living creatures of the water and sky. And then we see in day six the living creatures and the land and the humans. And then we know whether he's gonna rest. That is a perfect environment that's been laid out by God. So that's why it's innocent. They didn't know any better. They didn't know sin. They didn't know if you know the evil and things on that line. So we call it the innocence. The dispensation of innocence is that time frame that man is and that gets ruined. But so so it's so important that they were in an environment and they were what? They they get this warning right. God gives them a warning about what they can eat and what they can't eat. And that's not up for interpretation, but what happens? again, I don't think they had the capability or they believed. about man and woman here. I don't think they knew it's sin was didn't know what they were doing, if it was wrong. But anyways, so let's let's continue on in verse 28. We'll pick it up here. And God blessed them and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it. I'm gonna stop for a moment. Multiply be fruitful, right? Replenish or replenish the earth or I when we say replenish and to is what I would say instead of replenish, fill the earth. And I think when we look at this is same way with God told the animals, the sea creatures, and everybody to replenish and build this earth. and we're to multi and to multiply, and then the word subdue it. So we are to subdue this earth. Everything, all the animals, animals typically were are afraid of you, they'll run away. you subdue those animals, and you dominion over them. And now I'm saying if you corner a Snake, he won't bite you, or you go try to wrestle an alligator, you won't get bit. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that in general, we're to subdue of these things on earth and to have dominion over the fish, the sea, and over the fowls of the air, and over ⁓ every living that moveth on earth. Catch that. and God said, Behold, I have given you every herb. bearing seed which is upon the face ⁓ the earth in every tree in which is the fruit ⁓ tree yielding seed. So anytime you have seed, what is what can be done? If you have a seed you could replicate, can have more like if had a a seed of a tree or a fruit or whatever you can you can plant that. it can reproduce itself, right? give a quick little off point here, but look at your your fruit, vegetables, or especially fruit today. A seedless watermelon. Think about that. That has been genetically modified because watermelons have seeds. So anything that's you see the grapes, what are the grapes? Seedless grapes. They've been genetically modified and they are seedless. it's sea ⁓ seeds are in grapes. When I was growing up and I ate grapes that had seeds in them. Today they don't have a seed in them. And you they they're seedless. You know, they may have some seeds in some of them. But I'm just giving you the point about the seed. The seed helps you yield more of the the the fruit and things on that line. And it's for you. He says, and yielding seed to you, shall be for meat. When you see the word meat, typically, especially in the beginning, it's food. Meat is food. There was no there was no nobody was eating me when I say meat, I'm talking about animal meat. They were eating herbs, fruit, vegetable, things on that line, I think is what their diet consisted of. And that time frame. That's what I would assume. And then he says, on it, and to every beast of the earth, and every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, have given you every what? Green herb for the meat, and was so. Spoke it It's for so. And God saw everything He made. And behold means look, was very good. Now we went from good to very good. Was this earth at one time very good? According to God, it was. And the evening and morning were what? The sixth day. So the evening or the which would say, let's see, ⁓ morning. Their days started in the evening and goes to the morning. So it's a bit different. But morning, evening and morning were the sixth day. Not like we see it, but that's kind of how it was. and when started looking at the subdue part, again, this is for all true scientists and Man began within mind the perfect, its finite capa ⁓ capacities for learning. But learned there's just certain things we we do know we don't know. he did not begin knowing all the secrets. And we didn't know all these things ⁓ and were secrets that were kept from us. And it was for our own good, right? And to acquire and mastery over the material and the environments, to bring the events and the services which You know, again, that's progressive as far as the human race. So I just covered basically chapter one. I'll pick it up at chapter two of creation and talk a little bit more about what that profound and impressive stunning creation was and what that looked like for us. So let me sign off here.
