And we have not talked about our thoughts, we've not discussed anything really except for with the other friends we saw. Shout out to Jordan Squared. that we thought it was great. But if we're on YouTube, hit subscribe so that you don't miss an episode because we're gonna put out some absolute heaters, especially the second half of the year leading up to Avengers Doomsday. More on that in a little bit. but yeah, TikTok, we're happyplace.pod, Instagram, happy placepod, Facebook, happy placepod. Happy Place Pod. Say that five times. and yeah, I'm Logan and and this is Cousin Tanner. Sup. We are co hosting Happy Place and we're so excited to be here. This was so fun that we launched this and we just timing it did it was not planned this way, but it was like, my God, our first episode could be Spider Man. And it is. And it is. Look what we've done. Look at what we've done here. Very exciting. What you've done. He's a wonderful person. Well, that's all right. that's up to the God. That's up to God to decide. I like that. It's Sunday after all. So I was thinking, Tanner, because just like the folks listening, we I don't want to say we didn't have a plan for today. We're obviously gonna discuss and review Spider-Man brand new day. what I was thinking, Tanner, is you know, there's this YouTuber. I have to give him credit because I'm not gonna steal his idea without at least giving him credit. He's a YouTuber I've watched for maybe 10 plus years at this point. Big reaction guy named Tyrone Magnus. Yeah. And I like the way that he does his reviews, he calls them reviews mullet style. Non-spoilers in the front, spoilers in the back. Okay. So we we'll talk few minutes, general thoughts about Spider-Man Brand New Day without giving any real plot points, just like the movie itself. And then of course we'll dive into the spoiler discussion, end credit scene, larger universe at hand, and then we'll wrap up by kind of ranking the Spider-Man films and the greater Marvel universe as well. And then more on our the thing I mentioned a a a minute ago about the lead up to Avengers Doomsday. So that trailer in the theater. Yeah. That was awesome. It hit. I goosebumps. Yes. First things first. I'm the realist. I was just gonna tell the folks if they're if they're living under A Rock, I I you know, I I feel sorry for you because there's a great new Spider Man movie out in theaters this morning. For all you Patrick stars out there. Very good. Yeah. Trying to sip the Americana. We saw the movie at nine thirty in the morning on a Sunday. Yeah, that was interesting. After a very late night, at least for me. Tanner two. Yeah, me too. I doom scrolled for a while. Did you? yeah. Are you are you a doom scroller? On occasion. Yeah. No, what we should do is we should show up to the theater for Doomsday really, really early and doom scroll in Doomsday. That's stupid, but I would love it. That is very stupid. but I want to tell people a little bit, if in case you are under this rock, a little bit about Spider-Man Brand New Day, released July 31st, 2026. Spider-Man Brand New Day is directed by Daniel D. Destined Daniel Creton, the guy who also directed Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as many other movies and comedies over the years. Brand New Day is a 2026 Marvel Cinematic Universe film that follows Peter Parker after the events of Spider-Man No Way Home, with nobody remembering him, forcing him to operate as a solo, full-time Spider-Man while dealing with a new powerful villain and a dangerous evolution in his own powers. Of course, it stars. Tom Holland is Spider-Man. Zendaya. Yeah, spoiler, sorry. Tom Holland is Spider-Man for the fourth time on his own movie. This is like the sixth or seventh time we've seen him as Spider-Man. Zendaya, Jacob Battalion, Sadie Sink, John Bernthal, and countless others. I thought the movie was great. I thought it was great too. I don't know. Over the course of this conversation, I'm sure we'll figure it out, but I don't know where it sits in the Spider-Man movies though. I have no idea. I thought about it the whole way here. I have no clue. You we could very well give you our opinion on that today. And then the next episode we upload, we immediately s rip it off the beginning and say, actually it belongs here. That's gonna be every list that I have because I am gonna see it multiple times because it is very good. Yes. And another reason that he mentioned that he would see it multiple times is because our I'm gonna have to do some research on this to see if we're alone in this. well actually I I'll look it up right now. Tell tell him. So I mean, about a quarter of the way through, there's a lot of darker scenes, but the whole entire theater, like the screen just seemed pretty dark. And I looked over at you and I was like, Does this look dark to you? I can't I had a hard time tracking it 'cause you know, he's Spider Man, he's quick. So that was kind of tough. And I will be interested to see what the community says. Holy crap, this c this office space also, great coffee. I'm buzzing. I it's a hit for anyone who comes and has this. Delicious. My eyes are bulging out. What I got in here? Crack. not really. This is not what we should. So I wonder if it's just a theater. It might have just been the it was the first movie showing of the day, so I I wonder if they weren't ready. Plus we were plus we're kinda tired. So like, you know. Yeah, that didn't help it. Jordan also felt the same way. I don't know what he did last night, but I don't know he I don't know if he was out late or or anything. But I don't know, but dark. But still good. I could still follow it, but dark enough that I like, wait. You know, especially at the like the nighttime scenes. And there are several nighttime scenes, several action nighttime scenes. One in particular, this isn't a spoiler. Scorpion is in the movie. He's in the trailers. He's in the teaser trailer. There's a nighttime fight sequence with Scorpion that was great, but half the time I was like, What's going on? And their movements, I I missed some of their really good movements. So I will see it again. Yeah. But I mean, it was depending on the day that you go, I'd I'd be game to go again. Just because I'd be curious to see what the screen difference does because I felt like in certain moments I wasn't even paying attention to the movie and was just trying to see. And like the dialogue and everything just kind of like disappeared. And I just like, what's going on here? so it was a darker screen. I felt like they could have clicked up the brightness like two or three notches. yeah. but you know I I leading up to it, I heard it's a dark Spider-Man film, like the darkest Spider-Man movie arguably probably we've gotten since maybe Spider-Man three with the black suit. Like as in tone, I mean. No, I yeah, definitely darker though. and this is the other thing. I thought about this in the car. I didn't tell you this yet let yet either. but I'd love if we did not go out of our way to try to be these sophisticated movie going reviewers. Like we're not gonna use big words like I don't have any big words. We're not gonna use expressions like cinematography or Color tones or the picture looked great, yo, is what we're gonna say. Yes. And but I will say the cinematography was fantastic. The way it was shot, there's POV. Like POV and that I've just And we haven't seen that since the Andrew Spider-Man. No, and I do love the Andrews. We'll talk about that more. Yeah. So yeah, this this might be very chaotic, but we generally enjoyed the movie. I think Tom's acting was top freaking tier. He's just getting better and better. Yeah. Well look at where he is in Hollywood now. Yeah. He is holl he's, I mean, arguably one of the most popular ones right now. Yeah. I mean he would just he was just in freaking The Odyssey, which is a great movie was that? Acting. The Odyssey. I'm just kidding. Yeah. That was amazing. Fantastic. Yeah. Fantastic film. If only we launched this podcast like a month earlier, we would our first episode would've been talking about. Shout out to the Odyssey for this podcast. Yeah. 'Cause I mean, we got out of that thinking, man, I you know, would have been good to talk about that. Yeah. So let's do it. Excellent movie. This is no longer a review for Spider-Man. Yeah, we're gonna talk about it. Claw twist. so also I'm gonna address the elephant in the room. My shorts are Spider-Man shorts. My shorts are really short, also. So I'm trying to, you know, hide the YouTubers from from the old gooch. Okay. Sorry. No, no, it's funny. yeah, shout out to ca my wife Catherine for hooking me up with these Spider-Man shorts. Not for the movie. We went to Disney this summer. And she was like, I'd like to get you like some some shorts that would be kind of cool and fun to wear in the park. Because she thought when she ordered them online, not her fault. maybe she could have read the description. It's her fault. but she she thought that these were like the underarmor Nike shorts. that's what at least what they look like online. She showed me the listing for them, and I was like, Yeah, they those look like athletic shorts. They are not, they are like cloth, heavy cotton shorts. Straight cloth. If I was wearing these in the movie theater to see the Odyssey, I would have looked like I peed my pants. Cause wet. They would been so wet. Because our AMC also, besides having screen dimming issues, is notoriously hot as hell. As balls. And every time I always forget because we have we go to two different theaters. One's cold, one's hot. And then I always end up wearing like a sweatshirt to the hot one. And every time you wear a sweatshirt, and this guy's weird, he wears sweatshirts in the summer. For some reason. Well, look, I got a short sleeve sweatshirt and it had a hood on it. So, like, sue me. Yeah. And it's cool. It says White Sox baseball. Shout out to the White Sox. Weird. not that, but the the sweatshirt thing. Yeah. but yeah, notoriously hot. So I didn't wear these to the movie because I was very afraid it was going to be hot. And I also didn't want to be walking around in Spider-Man shorts. Although there were people dressed up. Yeah, there was a few kids wearing spider suits. Yeah, spider suits, people were wearing Spider-Man shirts. It's really cool to see so many people love Spider-Man. yeah. People love Spider-Man. Spidey Daddy. Yeah. Yikes. But you know, it it was one of those things where, well, I forgot where that thought was going. But the movie felt just like Spider-Man. It did. And what I was going with that is like this movie shows you, because you know, I as I said in the description, like he's alone. Like truly. Spider-Man No Way Home. Spoiler for there. Doctor Strange cast a spell. Everyone had to forget who Spider-Man was in order to save the multiverse from collapsing, essentially. Even the Avengers. even the Avengers. So, you know, of course, Ned and MJ don't know who this guy is. so he is alone. Literally, nobody knows who Peter Parker is. but the city loves Spider-Man. There's several scenes in the movie, especially there at the end, where they are cheering him on and it was really cool to see. And I was like, huh, that's kind of tear to your eye a little bit. Agreed some. Agreed. I was almost there. It was a kind of overwhelming scene. Extremely. But overwhel overall, I mean, I thought the movie was pretty fantastic. Me too. It's just still so fresh that I I'm not even sure it makes sense to rank it, but I'm we're gonna try. We are we're gonna try at the end of the episode. I have an idea too, but I I'm not sure yet. but anything else generally about the movie, plot aside, that you want to say before we dive into the spoiler territory. I just love the Spider-Man feel. It just you knew it was like just felt like I don't know, the way you imagine the way you read it on a comic book, that's that's what it felt like. It did feel like a comic book. Almost, yeah. It was very emotional. It had really it I know we said we're not gonna use like crazy movie reviewer terms, but the writing was really well done. Yeah. Usually the MCU has moments where you're just like, come on. It almost didn't feel like one. No, it did. It felt pretty dramatic. It did. It was very dramatic. Yeah. If only Hollywood recognized superhero movies and the actors that act in them for like award season wise, because Tom's acting in this was pretty freaking great. Yeah, it was. Have we decided if we're gonna cuss on this show or not? I can decide right now. Okay. Fuck it. Yeah. His acting was pretty effing amazing. I mean, he he did great. And if anything, it got me more excited to see this movie after seeing the Odyssey. Because I was like, Tom can act. What a month he's having. Can you imagine? What do you think he's doing right now? He's probably raking in the money. Just counting his bills? Yeah, probably. Probably. Hey Tom, if you hear this, can I have a grand? Jeez. Tom, if you hear this, do you want to come on the episode and Talk about Spider-Man brand new day. Can you imagine him sitting right here? I can't. Where's he gonna sit? I'll I'll I'll change the room. Yeah, that's fine. I'll just leave if if he didn't know you I'll just sit over there and I'll let you sit in that chair and we'll just roll that up. Hi, Tom. Yeah, shouts to Tom. All of them did. Zendaya did great. There's a couple scenes with them by themselves, Zendaya and Tom, that I was like, man, they're really acting here. But they're also married in real life. That is true. So like chemistry's there. There was yes, great chemistry. Burnthaw. You said it. They did a good job making the characters not I mean, I guess they didn't really have to do anything because they got older from those movies, but they definitely none of were like the high school kids anymore. They absolutely were, you know, graduated college students. It felt like they were true young adults. Yes. Like this was an adult Spider Man. Mm-hmm. Which is crazy because besides Andrew We haven't really yeah. We haven't seen or I'm sorry, like Andrew's the only Spider Man. No, he wasn't Michael either. He was a kid. Yeah, they all were. So wait, Toby was the Well, Toby. I guess we had several Toby movies. Toby came out after I guess Andrew Garfield, that sec the second Amazing Spider-Man, he was out of school. High school. Or he was working that internship in college with Dr. Connors in the first Amazing Spider-Man. So he was out of high school. He wasn't working in either. He snuck in. Remember? No. When he fought the lizard in the school, wasn't he in high school? He was in high school still, yeah. Yeah. my god. And the second one, he was I think he was out of high school doing I don't know. I just saw him too. That sucks. You watched him recently? I always do. I love Spider Man movies. Love So this one is is gonna be a rewatch, probably for a while. But I mean, it's hard to top No Way Home, though, so I can tell you that. Spoiler alert, it's probably not gonna beat No Way Home. No, I d I But I can't decide if that's because it's a movie. Like I don't know, like Because of the plot or because of all the surprises and everything that I got. I'll never forget that. That was a great movie experience. Yeah. That in Infinity War and Endgame, those three movies, seeing them in the theaters with the audience. I can't wait for Doomsday. Just for that. You're gonna have to see Doomsday multiple times because for the first like two weeks of that movie being out, the all the theaters are gonna cheer constantly. yeah. And that's the best. yeah. I'm just n I wasn't as Doomsday, I'm just worried, you know. Are they gonna be able to repeat history? Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. But anyway, back to Spider Man Spider Man. yeah. Let's go. Spoiler talk. So you've been warned, spoilers in three, two, one. Spoiler time. I got something. Hit me. Hulk. Yep. In his Hulk form, absolutely recognized and remembered Peter Parker. Did you see the way he looked at him and he just he fell backwards? He was done. He stopped fighting him. I don't know if he did though. Because when have when is Hulk and Spider Man when have they met? I don't I we've seen on screen. They fought. In New York. They fought in But wait. No. Yeah. Spider Man was not there in New York. Yeah, he was. He in at the beginning of Infinity War. What happened in the beginning? They fought together. He he you know they did. Squidward. Yes, Squidward. Get lost, Squidward, that's but did he know he was Peter Parker? I would assume. I assume they talked about it. Yeah. And behind the scenes, but I I think he knew him. He think he remembered him. Because like I don't think the spell got to him because And he was there sorry. Go ahead, go ahead. Well, I was gonna say he was there at the end of Endgame when he came through the portal and he wasn't masked. He was unmasked Tom Holland. True. Or Peter Parker. Yeah, so he definitely knew it was Peter Parker. Maybe he did. But you know, Banner doesn't remember, but Hulk does. And Ned definitely remembered at the end. Something clicked. Yeah. So cause you know why? my God, theory. Ned. Hit me. Ned with the magic and shit. Remember and Yeah, but he doesn't. Does he does he remember that he has that? No, but he's got it. It's there. We saw it. but he doesn't know it yet. This could this is gonna go this is gonna go a few different ways. Cause I just had a thought then. So at the end of No Way Home, he says the spell is going to make everybody forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Right. So does the and and so in Brand New Day, there's a scene where MJ and him are talking about. Like we have been say so they know Spider-Man. They know it's not like they don't know who Spider-Man is. They just don't know. Yeah. Everybody forgets who he is, but they know that Spider-Man exists. Yeah. Like Banner, if he wasn't hulking out, he would be like, it's Spider-Man. Because he knows who Spider-Man is. Spider Man, what happened? Yeah. Remember? true. Yeah, because I was like thrown off because he said Spider Man and that, you know, you know, it's sad. It it's really a sad, actually is a pretty sad movie. It's a very, very emotional. I teared up a few times, maybe two or three times. Mm-hmm. The ending as when I teared up the most. Yeah. The handshake with Ned, that was great. Yeah. That was a fantastic moment. And so I'll give another credit to an amazing YouTuber, Chris Stuckman, also somebody I've watched for movie reviews for countless, countless years, ever since I was in high school or middle school. And he made a point that I thought was amazing in that Ned's memory doesn't know who Peter Parker is, but Ned still has the muscle memory of the handshake. That's true. So as it was happening, it's not like Peter was like grabbing his arm and making him do it. Like Ned was fully in control. And then the way they were interacting in the they were building Lego like, come on, man. It's coming. It's clicking. I got a crazy theory now, now that I'm sitting here thinking about it. Okay. Ned said Peter? He said, Peter. Like that. Like he like he like it almost like he it all flooded back. I think it has something to do with the magic. And I think it's gonna that's gonna be what's gonna get him and MJ back together 'cause that's gonna happen. Or is it? I don't know. I also thought he was gonna die. Sorry, my mind's spinning. We haven't gotten to talk yet. No, we haven't. These are these are true raw thoughts. I genuinely kind of thought he was gonna die, and then they were just about to introduce Miles Morales off screen or so. I don't know, I don't know. I I definitely saw it going that way. Like I could be so pissed. I could have seen because like the popular theory there for a while was that Peter is going to die in this movie, and then in the end credit scene, his life is gonna be saved by the symbiotes. Because obviously we've played the we've played Spider Man 2 on PS5. We know when Peter was dying, the symbiote brought him back to life. Same thing with Harry Osborne. So if they did that that in this movie, I would have not been shocked. No. So But I'm glad they didn't. It's too close to Spider-Man 2. They, you know, they knew. And with it yes, correct. And and man, so many thoughts. But they're flooding right now. Since we're talking about it, we'll talk about it now and move on because I don't see it being brought up again. But speaking of Spider-Man 2, did you catch all of the different movements, fighting styles? They did a lot of stuff in the movie straight from the game. There was a couple web slinging things that I was like, that is literally the video game. Well, that, and I feel like all the other movies, they didn't have time to focus on that because it they just they were Spider Man movies, but it was telling a A broader story of Infinity War and an Endgame. So yeah. yeah. It's a yeah. And all of his movies have I mean, all of the people that he's gone up against that we've seen on screen, he hasn't he hasn't had to do a bunch of hand to hand combat. Like Vulture, it was an armored suit. Scorpion, he did some hand to hand combat here, but it was an armored suit. good combat. That was good. In Far From Home, he fought Mysterio, which was more of a mind game than anything. So it was like and then no way home. Of course, he there was no concentration on the fighting mechanics, I'm sure, because he beat the shit out of Green Goblin. Because I mean whatchamacallit, we had the nostalgic other two Spider Man and their villains. So no one was focused. But in this movie, you see him do a lot of hand to hand, close up, close combat with the hand. With the hand fighting was incredible. Yes. And when he f when he when he How do you how you say it when he morphed together to become Spider-Man and the organic spider web Spider-Man? Yeah, that's a move from the video game, the web tornado. Yeah. dude. that was so sick. That was sick. And so you gotta think that they are fans of those games. and they're like, we're gonna absolutely pay tribute to these guys a little bit. And it's a movie produced by Sony, who owns PlayStation, who Spider Man 2 is an exclusive game on. So it's like I looked over it. Logan after when he was in the middle of that scene, I was like, my god. You were like, Holy God, holy shit. It was awesome. Yeah. Really good scene. Yeah. It was nuts. Sadie Sink's character was really good. Yep. this is where you're gonna lose Tanner. Don't say it. They don't need to know. You can say it. I knew. I'll let you say it. I didn't know who she was. Not a big X-Men guy. My apologies. Listen, I'm not either for it. I'm not either. But like Also, you know I'm surprised you didn't at least know the character's name. 9 30 in the morning. That's what I'm I don't that matters. It does. If we'd have seen this at 7 p.m., you still would have had no idea who Gene Gray is. No, I it's I it's the problem is I've been out of the X-Men. I started watching all the X-Men's and then I've been out of it for a while. So I probably should have. Well, who would have known? Well, you actually probably should watch the X-Men movies leading up to Doomsday. I do know the Cyclops. Yeah, I do know who I've seen that movie. I've seen it a couple weeks ago. I saw Days of Future Past. I have seen Days of Future Past. Yeah, that's that's arguably the best X Men movie. I think most people will say. It's the one where they're where Charles Xavier's younger. Probably played by the other actors. Well, yeah, there's three of those. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. There's first class, Days of Future Past, and then Apocalypse, which I don't I don't think many people like Apocalypse, but yeah. I was just always obsessed with certain characters, and that's all I watched, especially as a kid. Now I've broken away from that a little more, still working on breaking away and opening my mind a little more. Yeah, but it's hard sometimes. It is, yeah. Like, so yeah, I liked because I knew the theories, and I mean there was a moment in the movie that I was gonna be like, my god, she's just some random superhero. Like she's just or she's some random character. There was a moment that I thought that they were gonna I don't know the guy's name, I forget the guy's name, but the director of the the damage control. Like there was a moment that I was like, this dude's gonna be secretly a villain that we all know, but they're just hiding all of the clues. Still could be he got away, remember? He did get away. They said he got away and he hasn't been seen since. Tombstone, that was really cool to see. Sorry, I'm jumping all over the place. But tombstone on camera, I think they did a great job making tombstone. Tombstone boomerang was on there? Boomerang? Was that not boomerang thrown? There was a scene where it was swinging in slow motion, and that was that was boomerang. Boomerang. So, like I don't know. Where does this take place? Right at the beginning. There is one gripe I do have. I thought I I got a grounded Spider Man movie, but all of the stuff that he does as Spider Man just was like all half of the trailer was in the first fifteen minutes. Which is also great, but also a gripe that I didn't get to see him like take down tombstone real quick. Like we could have had a fifteen minute segment on I'm tracking that could have been the opening or something, you know. I'm tracking tombstone and a quick fight and then but I don't know. That's a great character, so they probably couldn't, you know. And since he's here, now we'll probably see him again at some point. I hope so because he looked terrifying. He looked like Tombstone. It was really good. He looked great. He had teeth and and some weird shit. It was cool. Mm-hmm. He looked great. He looked like he did in the video game. He looks exactly like he did. Yeah. But a little scarier, honestly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. you know what? No, that was a scary scene. Remember fighting Tombstone? He's like Yeah, you're sneaking. my god, you're sneaking around as MJ. my god, I don't get me started on that. Never again, please. Did they have him in two? I can't even remember. Yeah. They did? I was two. They definitely won't. Tombstone was Spider Man two? Yeah. I don't think so. He was a DLC. DLC? Did I miss Spider Man Two DLC? Well when they re when they put it out on whenever I got it on PlayStation Five. He was not. Yeah. Or maybe maybe it was you know what? I'm thinking of one. You are. It was a DLC of one. Because I played that ge I look I will look back at I have t over two hundred hours on that game. easy. Which it's not a two hundred hour game. It's a forty hour game. Yeah. You finish the whole thing one hundred percent. Yeah. It's a problem. It made honestly, this I want to go home and play it. I I was thinking I'm probably gonna get on my phone here and download amazing or the I want the second one 'cause I haven't seen it yet. Or I haven't played it in a long time, is what I meant to say. When I went back and replayed it, I was like, damn, this was really worth it. It was good. Why are we talking about it? I don't know. We gotta talk about the movie. We gotta talk about Gene Gray for a second. I thought she was gonna be some random ass character. I saw all the internet theories that was like she's definitely playing Gene Gray. Yeah. They're gonna introduce her. And then like next week, we're gonna get a Instagram post by Marvel that says Sadie Sink has been casted as Gene Gray. Because of course they've been keeping that close to the chest because they didn't want to spoil this movie. But Yeah, I think she was cool. I mean she was young. That this this shows me. This shows me that the X-Men, when they do the X-Men, when they I assume in Doomsday that the X-Men that we know are gonna be gone. I think they're all gonna die. I think their universe is gonna perish. How are they gonna get there though? I don't know. How is the Fantastic Four gonna get there? I ha we could, but we won't. I assume they will all die, or if they defeat Doom somehow, some way, they'll go back to their own universe and s they'll say, maybe we'll see you again. Maybe we won't, and then they'll disappear and be gone forever, and that'll be it. Bo on bow on top, done with the old former Fox X-Men. But like with Gene Gray, she's playing someone that's seemingly twenty two, twenty-one. At least. It's gonna be a very young X-Men team. They're not gonna be older actors playing these characters. I'm okay with that. I'm okay with it too. yeah, because we know Wolverine will be in because he's with Deadpool. Yeah. I gotta watch that again too. I there's a lot we gotta watch. I mean, I know this is not a Doomsday prep podcast, but there's a popular theory that the first f scene in Doomsday is gonna feature Toby Maguire, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds, all playing their characters trying to fight off this incursion. That's what Doom is talking about in the trailer, like incursions or whatever. Of like the universe is colliding and Toby's world will die. Toby Maguire will die in the first ten minutes of Avengers Doomsday. That would break my heart. Yeah. And it that then that'll put a bow on Toby's universe. Or well, the end credit scene. That was definitely for Toby. All you people that have seen this movie that we're talking about will know the end credit scene. They find Spider Man tracker finds another something all the way out in space, like says Spider Man located, Spider Man found, out in space. And I guarantee you that's Toby. It's either Toby. They're gonna take him back with them. No way they don't. So you think so Wolverine and how would they get there? They're gonna aren't they like I think the T V A. The T VA. So Loki will probably be there too. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. This is gonna be crazy. It's gonna be nuts. It's gonna be But back to Spider-Man Brent. It's so hard to talk about these things and not talk about the larger universe because this I will give this movie props though. There's a couple moments that they address like like there was a scene. This is maybe the one gripe I thought. I thought it was a little forced, but there's a scene when we meet, sorry, we meet Bruce for the first time. He's a college professor, Bruce Banner, and his students, he's got a full class, and his students are trying to ask him questions. And of course they're not asking him questions about physics, they're trying to ask him questions about being in an Avenger. Fair, very fair. That's what I'm gonna do. And she's like, Thanos, if he and I wanna be like, we can stop bringing up Thanos. Yeah, Thanos is not a problem. Like we could they she could have asked him any like what's Thor like? Like any question, but they chose another Thanos question. And I know that like he's the goat of villains at this point. I hope Doom takes him over. He will. But I was just like, Can we move past the Thanos thing? Thanos is gonna look like a peanut compared to Doctor Doom. Where was I going with that? No clue. Damn. I'm not Sadie Sink, brother. Gene Gray. Sorry. Get it right. Sadie Sink just flows off the tongue better. It does. It does. But either way, don't know where I was going with it, but it it's it's difficult. I was saying that they addressed the larger universe a couple times. And that was one of the moments that they addressed that there's other things going on. Our friend Yelena, the new Black Widow, she is there. Very good looking. Very good looking. she's in the movie for maybe a total of 10 minutes. and I did look it up. It was we were talking it in the on the phone in the car on the way over here. 'cause I was like, that was kind of a long movie. It f it felt long to me. It was only two hours and twenty minutes. Yeah. so it felt long. The Odyssey felt shorter than this for me. Yeah, I agree. It's cause it was I mean, well, we we can't compare those two, obviously. But Odyssey is gonna be like forever probably one of the best movies, I think. Yeah. Personally, I'll watch Maybe one of my f maybe one of the best movies I've ever seen. Also, shout out to Jordan Haym for he just said meant to ask you guys this. Do you think Ned got his memories back at the end when he did the handshake with Peter? You know what I'm gonna write? Yes. Listen to Happy Place Pod. Yeah, so this movie, what I was going with all of that is the movie did a pretty good job of keeping everything local. There wasn't a ton of References to this, references to that. There was a lot of it was a grounded Spider-Man movie. And I love he's so much stronger now. Yeah. Peter is so much stronger. Yeah. It's insane. I will if I really this is me really nitpicking, okay? Like I'm trying to find things to nitpick because I don't think it's a perfect movie, but I think it's pretty freaking good. Pretty freaking great, honestly. But if I really wanted to nitpick something, it's like, okay, so this dude so Spider Man's going through these mutations, right? And he is evolving as a spider, as an arachnid. And his AI assistant or whatever, she's like telling him, like, it should you should try this, you should try that. And he's he's you know, he's smart. He's a techie guy. He's Tony Stark Jr. So he's making all these inventions. He's got the web grenades, which was cool. That was great to see him do. I mean again, another I I mean, I know it's not the video game that chose all of the Spider Man lore, but like but like it's cool because the most recent example of it is the video game. And in comic book that's what he does. So that was really nice to like I said, it feels like a Spider Man movie due to those kind of things. Like he's now he's no longer just like pressing a button on Tony Stark's what's right his what's those things called the the plane to build he built the suit and far from home. Anyway, he's no longer asked a button he can be Spider Man. Well he Where I was going with that is that he has a he has this device where he's checking like it's supposed to like regulate this transformation for him. And so he he's working on it, he can't figure it out. He goes to talk to Bruce Banner, they talk theory and then he goes back and he perfects it. And I was like, Really? Like you you perfected F one conversation. Well, I true. So it wasn't one conversation. Yeah, that's why he needs them back. He needs them. He needs that's why the whole point of the movies was him to realize he can't do this alone anymore. Because that's why he couldn't control that power. He was alone. I'm glad you said that because there at the end, when he was fighting the hand and Gene was talking to him through like the hand leader or whatever, and she was saying, like, you have to accept that you can't do this. With a group, you have to be alone. This is a lonely life that we live. These superheroes, we are all alone. And I in that moment was like, He might listen to her. Like he might realize for a split second he did. That's why he took the thing off. And by the way, did you catch where he just threw that down, didn't smash it, didn't do anything? That's coming back. That's that's gonna be a problem. Damage control picked it up and they're gonna replicate it and they're gonna it's gonna be a problem. Guaranteed. Maybe. They do those little you know, Marvel. We all know Marvel. That's why you're listening to this. Yeah. They're doing they do some everything's intentional. Yeah. They he threw that on the ground. I was thinking, okay, smash it. And he didn't. And I'm like the same thing. Like, all you're cooked. Yeah, that's coming back, and it's gonna be your fault. You created it. There's another plot line right there, calling it right now. Hmm. Also, Jordan said it's he thinks it's 'cause of the sorcerer things, so I loved it. he did? Yes, he's right. I think he's right. I'm right. It's the sorcerer shit. So we think that Ned in college has been secretly practicing sorcery. No, I just think that he I like again, like you said, he doesn't remember he has it. It's just he didn't know he had it before he used it. So now it's just back to square one. Like he still got it. It's there. It's in there. They they they planted that seed for a reason. That's why he remembered, I think. Yeah. Cause he's like But then again, he only I'm j I'm about to debunk both of your theories. Shit. I just remembered something. All right. He could only use it when he had that thing on. Doctor Strange gave him that little thing that put on his hand and then he could use it. I'm not so confident in the sorcerer shit, but doesn't Doctor Strange need it too? No. Yeah, he does. I don't think he wears anything. Yeah, he does. That's where Ned got it from. Spider Man flipped it off of of Doctor Strange. That's but then Ned had it the rest of the movie and Doctor Strange didn't. What do you think? He has a case of him? Probably. Wouldn't you like if you knew this is the thing you needed, wouldn't you? Makes me want to go back and look. We need to. Makes me want to go back and look and just pull up a couple scenes from No Way Home Later and just like Hey Jamie. I'm just kidding. Yeah, we don't have a Jamie. maybe one day, huh? But maybe. Yeah. so I let's talk about Frank real quick. yeah. Hello. Before so going into this, I saw a lot of reviews of people said that this movie was freaking amazing. Me too. But then I saw another group of people that said that this movie reminded them of Spider-Man 3 because it felt like there was a lot going on. There was. And I think there was a lot going on, but it didn't feel like Spider Man three. Like Spider Man Three feeled felt like this is a busy movie. They got Sandman, they've got the hairy goblin, they've got Hobgoblin. Well, listen. And then they had Venom forced into the last twenty minutes of the movie. And that's why I think it's not like Spider Man Three. Because they all those plot pieces were for the ending. Yeah. Like that they They tried to tie all that together. They didn't they they gave us a lot, but they didn't use all of it to be the whole main plot. Like Scorpion wasn't part of the main plot. Tombstone wasn't. No, all the shit he'd been doing before was not part of it. No. And it was just to show us what he's been up to for four years, by the way. I think it was really smart of them to you the way they used Scorpion in this. I loved it. He was gr yeah, he was great. I we never seen a Scorpion on screen. No. So that was great. No. Also, you also gotta think about, you know, where's Vulture? I know where at that end credit scene, we know where he is. He's in somebody else's universe. Isn't he in Andrew's universe right now? Which end credit scene? At the end of Mobius? Yes. You remember that? Because he he he gets moved somewhere and it's in And then he meets Jared Leto. Yeah. And Jared Leto is in Andrew's or Toby's. I don't know. I can't it's so confusing. I gotta go back and look. I should have done more of I think I actually ooh, I saw it last night, but I didn't read the post or the caption or anything because I didn't want it to possibly contain spoilers. But in an interview with some magazine or interviewer or press for this movie, Tob or Tom confirmed that Sony's original plan was to take Craven and Venom and Mobius and all that those side villain movies and bring them into Tom's universe. But they didn't do so well. But they did not because all of those movies besides the Venom movies were Really, really, I don't want to say like shitty because I really like the Venom movies. thinking back, the Craven. Yeah, the first Venom movies. First and second second was okay for me. the Carnage movie. Yeah, I didn't mind it. People didn't like it, but I I didn't mind it. I didn't third one was crap. I did not love the third one. I did not love Craven and I did not love Mobius. At the time when I watched it, I was like, these are good. But then thinking back, I was like, I can't remember a single frame of that movie. Yeah, and you know, I've that's I should we have ranked those two? Nah, I didn't include them. Okay, I didn't either. Because and there's there's a few that I do have in my list that I just ranked at low because of memory. Like I can't remember them, so that must mean it wasn't that great. Yeah. You know? Yeah. But like No Way Home came out like five years ago. And I can't I can remember. And I can remember most of that movie. Uh-huh. I've probably seen it ten times. And also I was hoping we'd get a little bit of Daredevil in that movie, just a little drive by. I'm very surprised we didn't. I am too, 'cause Frank was in it the whole time. But w also Daredevil's in prison right now. True. Yeah. But you know, I thought maybe they'd be in the same prison or something like that. I was gonna say, since we don't have a Jamie, that that's up to us. bring my laptop next time. Lap talk. Spinoff podcast with Tanner where he just talks about shit. forever. What were we just talking about? My ADHD is so bad. yeah, this is this is we should probably address this. We both crippling ADHD. Yeah, so it's gonna sound like it, you know. What was I just gonna skibbity toilet? You where does Brand New Day take place in the MCU? It's supposed to be right after Daredevil. That right after the kingpin shit. It takes place around the year twenty twenty eight. So four years after No Way Home. I wanna know like where or like when. I'm sorry, by the way, it just it bothers the shit out of me, and I'm gonna say it. You know what I'm gonna say. I don't. I have no idea what you're gonna say. What you're telling me Spider Man was doing all this shit. Yeah, you know where I'm going. You shook your head. He was doing all of this shit in New York, and then you're telling me he had no involvement with the kingpin. Zero. He just let Daredevil deal with it. What do you mean? Sorry, don't buy it. He's the mayor of New York and he was not a part of it. I don't buy it. If I was Spider-Man, I'd probably get involved with Kingpin, personally. Takes brand new day takes place after the events of Daredevil Born Again. All right. So what was he doing? Sleeping? We know what he was doing, but you're telling me he wouldn't put add that to his plate and he wasn't talking to the cops. Like, hey, this guy's You know, messed up. Wait a minute. And Bullseye was in it and Spider Man had nothing to do with The chief of police. Was it the same as the one in Daredevil? No. That actress I've seen her before recently. Where? The woman he would talk on the phone a lot. I assume she's like the chief of police. or one of the lieutenant or something. Or a lieutenant. Like Yuri in Spider Man games, yeah. But isn't she in Daredevil? But she plays a different character. You think i I I know what you're thinking. She you think that on his staff there's a girl that looks just like her. But she I've seen her in something very recently. Like very recently. Within the last like three weeks. Maybe she's been in another movie or a show I've watched. I don't know, but if you know, whoever listens, leave a comment if you agree with me or disagree with me, 'cause it really bothers me that Spider Man has nothing to do with Kingpin in his city, by the way. Yeah, but And we don't see a thing about Spider-Man, and then we get on this for the first twenty minutes. It's all about, Spider-Man, he saved us. Yeah. And we don't I see where your head's at. It's crap. But also they can't put him in the show. I know, but you know, that's just a I think it's a huge plot hole. And you people out there, you creative people all about money, how dare you derive us from what is comically accurate. I actually heard recently that good. You did. I actually heard recently that Marvel Or Sony might sell Spider Man back to Marvel. Can you because because all of those movies did poorly, those villain spin-off movies, like they were planning this whole thing where Tom was gonna appear in the, you know, all the big Avengers movies, but then he was only gonna ever appear in these Sony smaller movies. Is he confirmed to not be in Doomsday? I'm pretty sure i i it is. I don't think he's in Doomsday. No, I think it's confirmed. Yeah, he's not in it. Why? Or maybe he is, but he just didn't they just didn't show us anything because this movie came out. If Toby's in it, I mean you gotta imagine that the one they born and bred would've be in it. No clue. What about Andrew? Maybe. I don't know. We gotta hope that a DoorDash driver drops off food to Andrew Garfield again near set. Did you not know? We gotta hope so we can find out. For real. I thought the Punisher was a good addition to the movie. that's where I was going with all like the busyness. There was a lot of like we already named like Hulk, Elena. Hulk was only in the movie grand total, twenty minutes. The fight with them were good though. The fight. But it was kind of short. I thought the Hulk was going to be a larger plot point. Yeah, because it's the Hulk. But also I'm starting to think that the marketing for this movie was genius. Yeah. Cause you said earlier the trailers show scenes from maybe 15 minutes of the movie. But that's it. And then you have another two two hours and five minutes of footage that you can't show because it shows the Gene Gray shit and the him morphing into the next evolution of what he is or whatever. Like They did they did a lot of marketing with the Hulk. So I assume and Punisher. So I assume they were trying to like throw us off track of like, this villain, she's a side character. But Hulk and Punisher are gonna be major roles in this. Punisher was. I think he was a big role. Yeah, he probably had an hour of screen screen time. and and when he comes rushing in to when the Hulk is standing there and he's shooting at the Hulk, just It's awesome. Like it's just two different worlds and and they did a good job combining them, I thought. Because Punisher's really rough and he was actually pretty light around sp and it's probably because it's like it's Spider-Man and And it's a PG 13 movie. They have a they have a different kind of relationship too. I thought at one point there was one moment in the movie that I was like, okay, Marvel's gonna use their one F bomb right here in this scene. And it was the scene where Frank gets out of his truck to walk up and investigate like this the force field or whatever. That Gene Gray produced when she like froze the whole city. That was crazy. I when he walked up and you see the bar the dog barking at the owner or whatever. And Frank like takes a look at the force field and then he turns around and walks, but he does like a double take. And I thought for a second he was gonna be like, fuck that. And he turns around and walks the other way. I thought for a s I was like, man, please they could've. It's Spider Man's too chill, too, too too kid friendly. But this movie was dark. Very It's not a very fun ten year old Spider Man movie. And they'll go back to that. I think hopefully in the next one. Yeah. 'Cause now he's in this t place where he's comfortable who he is and he's getting his friends back, it seems. Getting his friends back. He's friends with Frank. Yeah, that was a good relationship. I thought their dynamic was exactly how you would think it'd be. Frank hard nosed and Spider Man just a goofball. Yep. Which there were goofy scenes with them. Those two were funny. They were great together. When Frank put on the mask and When walking out the hospital. That was a great scene too. Like just quietly to himself. That's so funny. He's quite the character. I thought that scene was gonna go differently. I thought they were gonna really go for the comedy. And I thought Tom was gonna walk out and John I thought Frank was gonna be wearing the Spider-Man outfit and it was gonna clearly not fit. So it was gonna look like he was wearing like a crop top. That would have been funny. I thought that he was gonna. Like they were gonna try to sell him as Spider Man, but there's no way that it would have worked. So I'm glad with what they did. And also, like, if I was standing outside that hospital, I'm not, you know, I'm pretty I like to think that I'm, you know, kind of intuitive and I would have watched a guy, a kid, you know, same build as Spider Man. Yeah. If I'm at that hospital, I know I know everything about Spider Man. So I know that that's a similar build. His face is messed up and he's limping. I bet that's him. That's what I would have said. I think that kid that kid might have known. For a split second, I thought he was gonna be on the roof. yeah. Like everyone was looking up and I was like, my God, is Frank gonna be on the roof doing some crazy shit? They they did. Did he cry? I didn't see it. I couldn't see because it was too dark. Yeah, dude. In the middle of the daytime. Yeah, I gotta go back and see it. I think he was because his l the left side of his face, like you always know John Bernthal's gonna cry because he starts acting like this. He does this shit on screen where he's like, he's like. Yeah. He like tosses and turns a lot. Yeah, he also sh he's the one who almost killed him. Yeah. man, the and the reaction when he shot him, the way he reacted when he realized who he just shot was when I was like, my god, he's dead. Yeah. And then the way he was bleeding out, I was like, my god, he's dead. And then when you hear like the news, like I thought for a second they were like I thought they were gonna say of course they say he's in critical condition, but I th the way that the newscaster was saying it, he was like the fr friendly neighborhood Spider Man. Is in critical condition. I was like, you shit. my god. They screw you. They were about to get me. But dude, I thought it wasn't that serious. I thought he just took a bullet. he took a 50 caliber bullet from a beretta man. And I thought about that after the fact that, like, as Gene Gray is like trying to like revive him or whatever, like that pool of blood. I was like, dude. His body, if he wasn't Spider Man, would have exploded. Yeah. That's such a big that bullet's bigger than my I mean finger. Finger. but like, yeah, I mean, do we know for a fact that he survived that because of Jean Gray? Cause he said she has voodoo, her voodoo powers have been keeping you alive. And like Cause I think because you think about that. You think about the fact that this bullet is four or five inches long. How How do you survive that? Well, I mean because he's Spider-Man. Yeah, well, how does he survive those punches from the Hulk? He was beating the shit at us. He was throwing them around like Yeah, like I can't think of a good reference, like a ragdoll. You ever played that game back in the day? Yeah. That ragdoll game on your iPod? You know what he did? I don't know if you caught this, and I don't know if this was intentional intentional or not, but when Hulk and him First started fighting, he grabbed Peter's foot and slammed him a couple times. Slowly. And I was like, that's like how he's that's exactly how he slammed Loki in the Avengers movie. Yeah. Like boom, boom, boom. It was the same like it was almost like they just copied and pasted. Cause I was like, Huh? They did it. Why was he banner Hulk? And then as soon as cause she had him he c 'cause she was but she was controlled transformed into the Hulk we we know. And remember. She was controlling him, so she still had control over his mind, even though the thing was broken, keeping him sane. Big yo. Yeah, that's And also the biggest hulk. Did you catch that when he was hitting him as banner? It was like not as and then when he did it as the my god, he was he almost killed, he could have killed him. Almost killed him. That's and and all the way to the point to my last point was he stopped when he said, Come on, it's Peter Parker. We're friends. I don't know. He knows him. Sorry. No, I just don't buy it. I don't. I don't I don't buy that this majestic the master of the sorcery arts, his spell is broken by looking someone in the eyes through their mask. Not broken. I mean, does does that s everybody forgets who Peter Parker is, but everybody meaning Bruce Banner. He's I mean, he had to be Hulk at the time for Bruce Banner or the Hulk to forget about it. I don't know. We want to get real technical about it. I don't know. But technically I'm gonna pee my pants. Really? Yep. You wanna go right now? I think I can wait. Okay. I sorry guys. Don't worry, they're not gonna hear it. I'm gonna cut it out. You're gonna cut the pee pee part out? I mean I could leave it. Makes me sound human. All right. You know leave it. I know I look like, you know, some He's a shit White Sox fan. I was gonna say some buff cool guy, but thanks. How have we not talked about arguably the most gut-wrenching scene in that movie? I don't love you. No. Not that one? No. That one hurt. That was the first one. That was cake walk compared to that. The kiss, man. Dude, that hurt me. So in the Tyrone Magnus review that I watched for the movie last night. He said, Now there's a scene that most members of my movie theater audience audibly groaned because they were uncomfortable. Sad. Us too. And the girl next to me groaned and she started laughing. She said, There's no way that just happened. And what happened is that Gene Gray, as she does throughout the movie, took control of many people's minds. And Peter thought that MJ was safe, which He had that guy suspended in a-cause was safe. He had her, he had that guy suspended in the helicopter. For like five minutes. wait, though. But we learned in the fat yeah, but we learned in the flashback that they don't have to jump from person to person to person. You could I could jump to Tanner and then jump back to me. So in that moment of being in the helicopter, he Gene Gray just jumped back to her, drove to MJ's house, and took control of MJ there. shit. I I just Thank you I just thought of that in this moment. Thanks for explaining that because I had no idea. Because in that moment I was in the movie, I was like, Yeah, couldn't see. But do so Gene Gray takes control of MJ and Ooh. I just thought of something else. What? Spill it. This is not a microphone. That's okay. This is huge. When Tom busts up, when Spider-Man busts up in MJ's apartment, is like, you have to come with me, trust me. And she says, All right, or whatever. When she's swaying with him, she's not afraid at all. She was already, yeah, you're right. She's not terrified. Thank you. She's not terrified at all. But then once she's back to MJ, she's like, Are we okay? Are you are we gonna land okay? Are we safe? I'm slipping. He nailed it right there. Yep, you're right. She was Gene Gray the whole time. my god. God. Not the part where she was freaking out. As soon as she said, okay. I was like, I remember because I I think I audibly went, huh? That was easy. Yeah. Yeah. How did I not see that? But no, but you are right. After after sh the kiss scene, I started thinking, yeah, she wasn't afraid. I almost said it to you while they were swinging, but then I didn't really think that was a who I mean, who cares? Maybe she got older, you know, maybe you know, maybe she's not so scared no more. Yeah. Well, if she also has no memory of ever swinging with Spider Man. That is true. So. So she she takes control of her in this scene. And this is the this was the most for me a se the scene where I was like, man, the acting on both of their parts is top notch. She does I love the classic. She brings up Justice Mouse. Yeah, we've never seen that. Yeah, we have. Not for Tom. Yeah, not for Tom. Yeah. Kisses him, they have a great moment, and you're just like, my God, this is great. Halfway through the movie, MJ is back. And then she like is like. She doesn't love you, Peter. Or something like that. She said, she said, that's it. Hold her one last time. Or something like that. I was like, fuck. I felt the pit of my chest just drop. How painful. And he Tom's acting in the scene was amazing when he he just he didn't say anything, just looked at her and was just like, You're a monster. That is so diabolical. That's terrible. That is the wor that's worse that that's dramatic. I was gonna say, that's worse than Aunt May dying. No. That was that is that is gnarly. That sucked. Sucked for the whole theater. dude. I'd go back just to experience that scene again. I don't know if I want to. Gut wrenching, man. What a punch in the dick that is. Punch in the dick. In all of Spider-Man's movies, he's having a bad time. He's always going through something. But like that scene takes the cake for me, dude. I was like, Yeah. yeah, he's he's tough, mentally tough, because that would have killed me personally. Commercially. that was that was good. That was good good conversation there. Finally got my talks out. I've been thinking about it the whole car right here. I'm trying to think if I got any more. Well the last thing I was gonna say really is that with the ending, like how he broke through to Gene Gray. Of like I loved like maybe I watch way too many movies, but like whenever someone says something and then there's a pause, I always like say to myself like what they're gonna say, and I'm always fucking right. I'm always right. I've seen so many fucking movies of like That's a real ADHD of like she's like I've gotten a lot s more stronger since I've last tried to break into your mind and Peter's like do it. I was like I I said it to myself. I knew that he was gonna say that. But he was in that memory too, so I yeah, because okay, never mind. Because he o has overcome. Yeah. The only reason that he before he was that that could get so deep, but what I'm trying to say is that He was blo the reason that she couldn't infiltrate his mind, yeah, he's Spider-Man and he's got these senses and shit. But also he himself was suppressing that memory. But then, of course, coming full fold, he's evolved, he's he is Spider-Man now. He said, I'm comfortable with my past. I'm comfortable with the things I've gone through. Come on in. Yeah, he did. Jeez. That gives me another question for you. Who whose Spider Man is the most tragic? The most tragic story. I'd I'd I vote Tom. Andrew Garfield's pretty messed up too, but Toby doesn't really have a lot of tragedy except for Uncle Ben. Right. And I'm dude, I we still don't know. Four movies in on Tom. No Uncle Ben mention. No need. No need. I I don't need another Uncle Ben origin story. But like that scene where she, you know, in his memory, where she sits on the bed with him. That's what I thought it was gonna I thought Uncle Ben was gonna come into the memory. Although he was Spider-Man and Uncle Ben was dead. I just thought I thought she was gonna address Uncle Ben. I yeah. Damn, man. Look at us. Damn. Who'd have thought? Who'd have thought? I just love that he Yeah. I gotta do it. You gotta go? I can't stand it anymore. You gotta pee? Gonna pee myself. You can't do it. Yeah. What does that sound familiar? Pause that. Can't do it. Hold that thought. Go. Right back. Yeah. The magic of editing. And we're back. Tanner went pee. I almost peed my shorties. So I decided mentally while you were gone, Tanner, that we actually because this could go so long in no, this next part. Like the greater MCU ranking of this movie and like the our lists of the MCU, we should table that. Okay. We will table the MCU ranking as a whole once we get into What we're gonna do for doomsday. I'll talk about that in a second. We could do it like a little half an hour segment about it. Could. but because we both just realized, like, my god, and you know, we were just talking before, maybe not such a long one, but we've gone on. Yeah, we have. It's been easy. It has been easy, it's been fun. Definitely go catch this movie for sure though. For sure. Go see it. do you wanna how do you wanna do the like the rankings? Do we want like five stars, A, B, C, like? Hmm. I don't know. We'll talk about that later. Well, I'm just gonna say, yeah, go see it. Really good. Yeah. We'll figure that out later. Yeah. We have not discussed that. Believe it or not, we've discussed a lot, but how did that not come out? I don't know. or maybe we don't. We just say like something was really good, or we say it was really not. I loved it. Okay. so Spider Man ranking. Where we don't need to do anything super formal, but I have my ranking of the Spider Man movies. I'm just gonna go down the list or I'm gonna start from the bottom and go all the way up. We can fight about it on another episode. Yeah. But I just kinda wanted to get it out there so people know like where we stand, just in general. and I've lost it because I have too many notes on my phone. No, I got it, I got it. from the bottom up. yeah, go ahead. Sure. I got there's eleven projects. Twelve total now after the one that just came out, right? it's 'cause I put Noir in there. Yeah, I have ten. Okay. So I put on the on the last one, which people are gonna be pissed, but it's only 'cause I can't remember it. Spider Man across the Spider Verse can't remember it at all. I need to go watch it again. So I'll properly rank that one on our next one. Okay. Spider Man Noir is ten, just 'cause it's like, you know, it I don't feel it's do I need to explain or just go? No, just go okay. Spider-Man Far From Home is nine. Okay. Eight is Amazing Spider-Man 2, Andrew Garfield. Okay. Spider-Man 3 Toby for seven. So six is Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse. Okay. Five is Spider-Man Homecoming. Four is Spider-Man Toby, the first one. And then number three is Amazing Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield. Number two is Spider-Man 2, Toby, and number one is Spider-Man No Way Home. Nothing's gonna ever top that one. Where do you think? This goes. I think I put this one right between three and four. Amazing Spider Man and Four would be this one and then Spider Man Toby would be five. Nothing's gonna beat Spider Man No Way Home or Spider Man Two Toby. Wait, wait a minute, no, no, I lied between two and three. I'm sorry. Yeah. I I meant between two and I like, what the fuck? But that you know what? That's that's why it's good that we'll talk about this again 'cause this might change. Yeah. Like I'm gonna be thinking about this. Very much so. So for me, I did not include Spider-Noard just because I forgot, honestly. I don't even know where it would go, honestly. Live rank it. TV show. No, I'm not gonna do that. you'll see my ADHD thoughts going crazy. So yeah, from I think I have 10 projects then. So 10 is the Amazing Spider-Man 2. Okay. 9 is The Amazing Spider-Man. Wow. Okay. eight, Spider-Man Far from Home. Seven. The original Spider-Man. Wow. Six into the Spider-Ver. Five across the Spider-Verse. Four Spider-Man three. I know. I fucking love that movie. And come for me. yeah, this is all from Heart. Three is Homecoming. Two is No Way Home. And number one is Spider Man Two. I like it. This for me probably goes man, it's tough. It might go. It's so difficult for me because I th I I I often blur the lines of like where should this go for it being a good movie and where should this go based on how much I liked it? That's how I ranked mine, how I like it. Ugh well then it's going below Spider Man three. I love that movie. That's okay. I grew up with that movie. I know, I did too. And this is so fresh. I mean, maybe we don't even rank it. I I don't know. I mean, as of this moment, in terms of how good of a movie it is, it's right below No Way Home. It's third place for me. It's it's a fantastic movie. It's so damn good. And that's saying like all these Spider-Man movies are good. You can make your case for Spider-Man Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. You can make your case. But I I think they're all good. There's just some movies that have been executed better. and Spider Man two, No Way Home, Homecoming, those three for me are the best executed. You did love Homecoming. I remember I remember you showing it to me. You were just he was showing it to me and probably watching me the whole time, just waiting for the vulture twist. and I reacted. I think I reacted exactly how you wanted me to react. Cause holy shit, right? Yeah, that was nuts. Yeah. so yeah, at this moment it's going in fourth place right below Red Blow Homecoming. It is a far better movie than Spider-Man 3, but the nostalgia is creeping in, and I can't get it. I can't shake that. I get it. so last note, and then we'll get out of here. We are planning on doing kind of a mini doomsday prep series. it's not gonna be every week. We're gonna upload them probably every other week, basically from now until Avengers Doomsday comes out. And we're not covering all of them MCU. That would take entirely way too long. We should have we would have had to start in like April for that. Yeah. but to do that, we are going to run through I think it's 10 projects, 10 or 11 projects. Essential ones for the movie, basically. I we did a Google and we've we found some films that they say are important to see before Doomsday. Those movies are Fantastic Four. Deadpool and Wolverine, The Marvels, Spider-Man No Way Home, the Endgame Encore, which will come out in theaters in September, which it has the new footage that's supposed to tie right into Doomsday. We gotta see. Black Panther two, Doctor Strange Two, Captain America brand new world, Thunderbolts, and then Loki seasons one and two, followed by the following week would be Avengers Doomsday. we might sprinkle some other one. Like if Tanner does watch the X-Men movies, I'd be down to watch those again just because we're gonna see those characters again and it's been a long time. but I mean, no promises. We're just gonna kinda upload as we go. And we might upload an episode in between here and there when a movie comes out, like when the the DC DC does the clayface horror movie. I'm sure we'll wanna talk about that. yeah. Other other movies too. There's a werewolf movie coming out. The guy who made the Nosferatu Dracula movie. He's making a werewolf movie now and it's coming out in December also. so we'll probably do that. I mean Resident Evil, Random Movie, The End of Oak Street. There's a bunch of other random movies, Whalefall, that are coming out the rest of the year that we we might want to cover, but we're not gonna force it. we're just gonna upload as it makes sense. No pressure. But yeah, that's it. Go White Sox. Three to nothing. Sorry. No, you're fine. but this was a good time. This was a great discussion. Worked out great. Loved it a lot.
