Logan Lewis: Welcome back to Happy Place, your favorite movie and TV show recap and review podcast hosted by myself, Logan Lewis, and my cousin and co-host Tanner Smith. What up? We're back, ready to crack. Not that ready to crack each other. Not that on camera. Nope. Not doing that today. But you know what are doing today? We are recapping and reviewing Marvel's The Avengers in our Road to Doomsday episode. And I also thought whether or not we had enough to say about the Avengers, we could also spend the back half of this episode talking about something that dropped very recently. And that is Wolverine, the video game. That's gonna take up most of time, I think. Maybe. But yeah, Road to Doomsday, Avengers is next on the list. Next week you're gonna listen to us talk about Spider-Man No Way Home, and that will probably take the entirety of the episode, just because that movie is just I don't think so. It's not that great. Yeah, it's not. I hate it. Kind of bad. Yeah. Bad movie. I was so pissed when we had to rewatch it. but of course, we're recording today's episode from Hammerhead Studios, located at 216 Coworking, located in downtown Cartersville. 216 offers Tons of things. Thank you so much for being here. Tanya, let's talk about the Avengers, some information about it. Released in 2012. I was a sophomore in high school. Where were you? Where you'd you graduate high school? Nineteen. wow. So 2012 you were like middle school. Yeah. No, I was younger because I think I was in four years. You would have started high school twenty fifteen. Middle school was yeah, you might have been in like sixth grade. Yeah. Jeez. That is crazy. Cause I remember you showing me Iron Man when I was like small, little. He put it on. Do you remember putting it on in the basement at grandma's? Yeah. And everybody got pissed at you. Yeah. I remember that. Yeah, they're like trying to s weird shit off. Look at what look at look at look at us now. Yeah, right, right. It's crazy. When Thor's evil brother Loki gains access to unlimited power of the energy cube called the Tesseract, Nick Fury, director of Shield, initiates a superhero recruitment effort to defeat the unprecedented threat to Earth. Joining Fury's dream team are Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Of course It was released May 4th, 2012, directed by Joss Whedon. And it yeah, this is I mean, of course, Iron Man and those OG movies kind of started it all, but this is really what started it all. Yeah. Fire. Yeah, it was great. I forgot how good it was, actually. I hadn't gone back and rewatched this movie in several years. Several years. And it was very refreshing. Funny too. It is funny. I didn't realize it is. It moves very fast. It it is like a two-hour and like 20-minute movie, I think it said. And it goes by very quick. Yeah, two hours and 23 minutes, which for 2012 is long. but yeah, dude, like this is a fun movie. Yes, it is. I wrote down how funny it was. I said I forgot how it's just it's not funny, it's comical. Yeah, like Metal Man. Yeah. It's funny, dude. Thor looks different, of course. Yeah. It's crazy to see where all these characters have like evolved to. Yeah. Like Thor, Thor specifically. Mm-hmm. Like because he's been Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, they all it the th the Hulk, they all kind well, the Hulk, maybe not, but like the rest of them, they all look pretty similar all the way through. But like the Hulk is a good example because like That's back when he couldn't control it. Yeah, wild to see that too. And it's crazy that He really still can't. No, and like in this in this summer with Far or Brand New Day. I never can't remember the names of his movies. Brand New Day, I mean, we're back to probably a savage kind of Hulk. he looked good. He was huge. I and the the longer it's out, the more I see like they compare it to Disney's version and then Sony's version, and Sony wins. Hmm. Sony wins. yeah. I'm saying. Yeah. Feel me? Yeah, it was Avengers. It's it's it's cool to see it's really cool to see them like even slowly in Avengers Age of Ultron did this more than the original Avengers did, but like it kind of built to civil war even from the beginning. Because there's moments where they really don't agree and they are very willing to just fight each other. And I've forgotten that they f disagreed so hard that Cap and Cap and Tony specifically did not like Tony. No. And I I think that kind of sure they saved the world together and everything, but I feel like Cap really didn't like Tony for a long time. Yeah. Well I mean he's everything that you wouldn't think a hero would be. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I love the scene though where he's like take the suit off, what are you? And he's like Playboy billionaire, blah blah blah and then Scarlett Johansson's like Yeah. It's pretty funny. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And like it's so cool. Like the in that entire movie up until of course like the final battle, they're just they're all so worried about having the Hulk there. Yeah. They were all so scared to bring him there. Well, and and they did exactly what Loki wanted. And that was pretty cool. I thought I mean seeing it now and watching it on a like knowing already what happens and everything, kind of just analyzing it, like you can kind of see it coming from a mile away. If you were looking that hard, but nobody we weren't looking that hard first time around. No. No, we're just watching, you know. I cut I completely forgot too about Phil Colson. I forgot about that guy. I I was pissed that we were I was watching, I was like, God damn it, I gotta watch him die again. He was the best. Yeah. He's funny as hell. His first name is Agent. Yep. Man, I miss that guy. So that's what that does. I know he's still he still dies with a funny line. Yeah. damn trading cards, so sad, bruh. The trading cards was I almost like choked up. I was like, damn. Boom. Cause he they're so good, Marvel, at like talking about something and then just bringing it back later. Like when something that you think is just a joke, like when he's talking to Cap when they're riding in on the helicarian and it says like he says they're mint condition. Yeah. And like he can't. You don't hear him say it, but he just said, like, what? If if you don't mind. And so now we know that like he'd asked him, like, will you please sign these cards? Like this is so cool. Never had a chance. No. Rest in peace. Yeah. I'm surprised they killed him off. He was great. Yeah, I think they had to have though something and maybe someone said this in the movie. Maybe it was Nick Fury. They had to have something to fire him up. Yes. Yeah. That was the whole point of his death. Yeah. Is to get him the band together. 'Cause then they went off on their own and unsanctioned launch launch of a plane or whatever and they just let him go 'cause they knew. That was his plan the whole time. I wouldn't be surprised if one day that it really didn't happen. You know what I'm saying? What if in end game instead of c no end game. What if in s in end game, instead of when Sam said on your left and that first portal opened, what if it was just Phil Colson just walking out with that gun? That would have been crazy if Phil Colson just walked out with that gun. We I think that would have got a pretty loud theater cheer. Yeah. Yeah. I'd see him again. He was great. Yeah. Did you ever watch the Agents of Shields show? No, but I know they made a mistake after he died. Really? He they just kept going. Shields, they And then they had to say it's not canon. Yeah. Which is true. It's not canon. I think that's like before. Yeah, I think you're right. I remember so how hype I was when they announced that they were doing like this Marvel TV show. Maybe that was even an experiment. If only we knew like it was gonna be ten years later, we'd be watching shows on streaming. For continuity. That's crazy. Mm-hmm. They're so smart, bro. These guys, I wish I had a brain like these people. I'd have millions of dollars. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Well well well, part of it too is I wish I had the brain they had, but then I also wish I had the budget they had. Yeah. Millions and millions and millions. Why are we watching this? Why were we told to watch it? Was it just for the characters or was it why? I that's a great question. That I can't figure out. Is it just I think it's it might just be just as simple as you If you don't know who the characters are, here's the first Avengers movie. But they can't be, not this late. Well, I saw something that ooh, I did see a theory and I'm gonna get it wrong. So maybe I'll maybe we'll cut and I will jump to me talking about the theory because this might be messy. But I saw a theory online a week ago or so, and I at first was like like when I read the first couple sentences of it, but then I thought, hmm, maybe. Because like I think in Doomsday, he's not been in the trailer trailers much, but I think Loki's gonna play such a bigger role than we think. That could be it. Like I think Loki, like maybe that's why we had to watch Avengers, but the theory was essentially like an end game when obviously when they go back in time and they go back to 2012, and after they capture Loki, you notice that there's that scene that like Hulk smashes open the door when he took the stairs and the Tesseract flew out and Loki flew off in another dimension. Yep. They're saying that that moment that created an incursion because Loki broke off And started his own timeline of him not getting taken back to Asgard. Like he it it almost would be really cool. And I forget how the Loki show starts. That's gonna be great to go back and rewatch it. Starts immediately right. Starts right there. Okay. Cause I wanted I was gonna say I'd love to see where he went from there. But that's the Loki show. But And that's it. That's the that's the only I maybe that you know what? That's a great theory because they probably just want us to watch this character's Whole entire arc. That's why they want us to watch the whole s show too before doomsday. Cause we shouldn't know the other Loki. We should know not the one that developed in the MCU. We need to know the one that left New York that day. Yeah. That's it. That may maybe that's why that's the connective tissue. But the theory was something along the lines of like the Tony Stark that like had his Tony Stank? Sorry. The Tony Stark that had the Tony Stark that had his like Heart restarted or whatever by Thor's hammer. Like that's Doctor Doom. You think so? Like there's some theory, and I still don't know if I get or if I believe it because I truly believe Doctor Doom is coming from the Fantastic Four universe. yeah. I mean, unless he's unless by the time we see him in the end credit scene for Fantastic Four, he's already been hopping timelines, like looking for the children or looking for whatever he's looking for that ends up giving us Doomsday. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Feel me? I'm gonna see if I can try. I'm gonna see if I can try to find that real quick. Side note, I have a mustache now. What do you think? If anybody hears this comment about it. Keep the mustache or no? I don't think they're gonna keep you're gonna keep it. I'll probably shave it tomorrow. it's not bad actually, if I'm being honest. So I think I found it. So it's this post that basically was like this is every clue that Tony Stark was or that Robert Downey Jr. was always going to play Doctor Doom and it wasn't like a last-minute pivot. And it all starts with this strange moment in Avengers Endgame. So when they go back in time and Steve and Tony are looking for more like pim particles or whatever. There's a moment when Tony meets his dad. That's that's supposed to be possibly something. so he unexpectedly meets his father, Hall Howard Stark, at a military base. Howard mentions that Maria Stark is pregnant, and Tony looks genuinely confused and asks how far along she is. That reaction suggests that the timeline might be wrong. So there's a scene, that scene remember where you go they go back and you see his family or whatever. Yeah. The MCU says that Tony Stark was born on May 29th, 1970. The scene claims to take place on April 7th, 1970. That should mean that Maria being pregnant makes perfect sense, but the date may be written in. In day, month, year format, which means it the day is July 4th, 1970. And why July 4th makes perfect sense. July 4th explains why Tony was certain about the location and the date. the shocking implication that Tony should already be born. If it is July 4th, 1970, Tony should be over a month old. That explains Tony's disturbed expression in the elevator. Maria Stark should not be pregnant anymore, meaning the baby she is carrying is not Tony Stark. And that opens the door to a comic accurate truth, which is in Marvel Comics, Tony Stark was adopted. The Stark's real son was Arno Stark, born with defects. Howard hid Arno out of shame and secrecy. The MCU could adapt this with a tragic twist. The baby Maria carries could be Victor Von Doom. Damn. the Starks adopt a baby from a foreign country. That country could be Latveria, Doom's homeland. Loki's escape allowed branching timelines to exist. Tony briefly became omnipotent while wielding the infinity stones. A deleted scene shows Tony Stark entering the soul world like Thanos did when he snapped his fingers when he saw a young Gomorrah. A pruned Victor Von Doom may have felt the snap, and his astral form could have been could have survived his erased universe. Doctor Doom's dream walks into Tony's dead scarred body. The scarred mirrors Doom's iconic comic appearance. Tony Stark's soul is gone and Doom is now in control. He wants to restore the life stolen from him. RDJ is Doom completely completes the multiverse saga completely. Hmm. Jesus. now I want to know where that MCU timeline went because Loki escapes with the Tesseract. What did they do then? I want to know what happened immediately as they turned away and saw he was gone with the Tesseract. my God, dude. I can't wrap my head around all this shit. I know. They're messing me up over here. I know. But I don't know why maybe it was maybe the Loki thing is why they want us to watch the event. That that Loki. And then of course it then connects to the Loki show, and the Loki show is super important. And then I'm thinking in Endgame Encore, that's what you're gonna see something like that, Doom becoming Doom, or how he gets RDJ's form is what I'm really concerned about. They gotta do it right. I think I think you're right. I think that the bonus footage in Endgame will be either in two different places, it'll either be well, three different places. It'll either be an end credit scene, which I think would be cheap to make us all watch that movie again just for a three-minute scene. It won't not or it's a three-minute scene after Tony meets his dad, and after Tony and Steve go away, you see Howard Stark get in the limo, Jarvis drives him home, and he sees his super scarred baby Victor or something like that. Or it's after Loki escapes with the Tesseract. And we see almost a fast-forwarded version of that MCU and see where that Tony goes. Yeah, that's good too. Like maybe that Tony in that specific timeline turns into Doctor Doom. boy. Because they just win, they save New York, they save everybody, and then the guy that they captured disappears. What would that do to everybody there? Freak them the hell out. And then, like, what if what if that just met. What if that made Tony like freak the hell out and go crazy and go mad? I don't know. God, how are they gonna fit that all into six extra minutes? It's only six, right? I thought it was four. It's it's less? Maybe. I think it's four extra minutes. So it's so it's a scene is going to be different. Huh. Or just add it on to. I need to get tickets quickly. You should. I really enjoyed seeing it's just cool seeing also how just younger they are. Yeah. Scarlet Johansson, like or like even Loki. Yeah. Great. Yeah, the Avengers. Fantastic. I don't know how it connects. Probably Loki. There's not much else to say about it, honestly. Probably Loki. Wolverine. Wolverine. Go. Guys, let's talk about Wolverine. Marvel's Wolverine, developed by Insomniac Games. We've been waiting for this. September 15th, so it just dropped last week. of course, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. And yeah, Marvel's Wolverine is a 2026 action adventure game developed by Insomniac, published by Sony. Based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, it is inspired by the long running comic book mythology and various adaptations in other media. Yeah. It doesn't say the plot, but I'll tell you the plot. You get a young Wolverine very early on in the yeah. Okay. I haven't finished it. I haven't either. Okay. I'm very close, I think. I don't I'm not. I I just got to Hall or Nathaniel Hall taken over. I just beat Trask or whatever his name is. Okay, okay. Yeah, you were v you're very early on. I won't I I won't. yeah, you get a young Wolverine early on in the Team X or X Force or whatever. they've said they say it a few times, I forget which one it Team X. Team X. and you've got like care there well, have you met other characters? Yeah, Gene Gray, What about Mystique? yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Well you meet her at the beginning and Saber Sabretooth too. Yeah, okay. So you see a couple characters do and you just kinda go and and so this this game is fighting the hand right now. Okay, good. I just beat the telepath hand guy. That's it. That's exactly where I stopped. All right, cool. So I think I am on the last fourth of the game. I love it. I'm sorry. I think it's great. I think it it's exactly what I wanted. I I mean I wanted open world, but how are you gonna do that Wolverine? That would have got boring. It would have gotten very boring, and I'm glad y I'm with you. I'm glad they didn't try it and fail and they stuck to Now they're like you've probably seen this, like in some of these missions, like you can kind of go on your own path. Like the without spoilers, the part that I'm on, like you're in this giant city and it's just like you need to be over here. But like I could also run through buildings or I could climb to the rooftop. Like you can create your own design. There's collectibles everywhere. There's collectibles, there's the chest. Really? Yeah, why not? I'm a I'm a hundred percent it on the first try. Dang. Have you even going in each of the little memory doors or whatever? yeah. Okay. I'm even beating all those the the highest. I want all the rewards I can get. I want because it's kinda it's like it's not the easiest thing in the world, by the way. It's I die quite a bit, honestly. What difficulty did you choose? Neutral, right in the middle. I think I chose that one too. Yeah. I didn't do the story driven. No. Also, like I the the hate that this game is getting pisses me off. Like, I mean, shit. I mean, IGN's the only one who did a horrible rating on it. Not horrible, but I think what they give it like a six. Six out of ten, I think, yeah. And and I mean, dude, their complaints are how short it is, but I'm nine hours in and I'm not even close. Yeah, I actually funny enough, I actually checked the time today and I'm like fourteen hours in. Right. And I think I've got probably another two hours or so of maybe main story. And as a completionist, it's gonna be twenty, twenty five hour game. And that's just like what? That's like the last of us? That's like what game did I just beat the other Indiana Jones was short. Yeah. They're all short. Indiana Jones was very short. That's the one we should have been hating on. Yeah. But no, but there was way more collectibles though. Yeah. And more open. I'm gonna go back and replay that. I love that game. What a good game. Such a good game. They that was hard. I think it was hard. Yeah. I think the game is just getting a lot of hate because people are unfortunately comparing it to Spider Man. And Spider Man, those stories are so long. Yeah. Well. But You also have to take into effect too that like whenever you're Spider Man, like everything takes place on New in New York. So you're still you're flipping to each mission, you're flipping, you're chasing bad guys. You're so you gotta I wonder how much time if you broke it down, how much time you're spending in that game swinging. All the that'd be a really cool I just get on there and swing sometimes. But like how many out like if let's say it takes you fifty hours to a hundred percent Spider Man two. It took me it took a few. How many hours of that 50 is you swinging? Most of it. I am always swinging the whole time. Yeah. It did take me 50. I think it took me 45 hours actually to beat it the first time, 100%. But I take my time too. I'm like looking around. I'm like, you know, I'm trying to get him I'm trying to enjoy it, unlike all these people that are hating on it. Nobody's enjoying anything. I'll see if I can. And what are they? Speed running it? People are saying that it was a seven hour story game. I'm like, no, it's not. If you like If you just run through and do nothing and don't look around and don't enjoy what they've the the world they built, yeah, it'll be that quick. You know? I mean, the detail's great. And it's so crisp on my freaking 4K TV. dude. This is what this guy says. This guy this Reddit guy. This is a good review. So listen to this guy. This guy says in my opinion, Wolverine is one of the best superhero games out there, and in some ways I like it more than both Spider Man games by Insomniac, which that's a hot take. But okay, hot take. Wolverine has this incredible sense of forward momentum that a lot of modern games fail to achieve. Almost 80% of the game is balls to the walls, full throttle action. It's awesome. You're always unlocking new action moves, you're always unlocking new suits, you're always unlocking something that keeps pushing you. I really like the combat in this game. It reminds me both a mix of Spider-Man and God of War. God of War is like identical to the way this game is. It's it's a linear game. That's what it is. The way that God of War and Spider-Man's the Spider-Man games do this too, but the way that like God of War seamlessly blends, like you'll go from like fighting and kicking ass, and then all of a sudden like the camera will move and then it's a cutscene. Yeah. And like and then the cutscene will end and then you just take over from there. Like there's no like cuts. I mean there's cuts in Wolverine because like all of a sudden it'll say, and now we're going to Hong Kong or now we're going to New York or now we're going to Yeah. So it's it's really cool. And I I I don't know if those are the locations. I just named two places. But yeah, you go to Japan and spend a long time in Japan actually. So buckle up. You're you're gonna be in Japan for a minute. Good. the hand's interesting. Because by the time though I finished the hand storyline piece of this the main story. I was like, I'm kind of ready to go somewhere else besides Japan. I'm tired of fighting the hand. So they were ready. Because they're annoying as fuck. They are. And I I love that I'm ahead of you because I can say that just wait till you finish the hand storyline. Okay. Cause the way that that pushes the main story forward, it changes things. I just I'm waiting for I'm waiting for Nathani what's his name? Yeah, I'm waiting for he to be fair, where I'm at right now, he has not turned into If he does, I assume he does. He's on his way. I assume he's the main villain. I I don't know that a hundred percent yet, but I'm he's not turned into like the super villain or anything. He's still Nathaniel, he's still Essex. That little green guy sucked. Yeah. So is he dead? I don't know yet. Yeah, that's true. I really don't think he is. man. That was sad. Where I'm at right now is is crazy. It's so good. You go through like a tw I'm not gonna t of course I'm not gonna tell you. There's no spoilers here. I'm I I just went through like a 20 or 30 minute sequence after something happened so vague. Something happened, craziness happened, actually. And then I go through this 20 minute, 30-minute gameplay scene that explains everything. And so like now I know where the story's going, kind of. And it's like there's a piece of me that's like, I could have seen this coming, but then there's another piece of me that's like, damn, he did that. It's great. Well, here's what I think's probably gonna happen. I know that I started watching all the X Men movies again. I it turns out I have seen most of Yeah. I got through I'm through Timeline Order Timeline. So it started with damn it, I already forgot. X Men Origins, Wolverine, and then it went to No, I started X Men first class, Wolverine, X one, X two, X three. I just finished X three, then now next I'll do Wolverine. But seeing seeing that Mystique and and Sabretooth and all the people that I'm team f teamed up with right now are typically not the good guys. So Mystique is weird because like she is weird. Is she a villain in in those old X Men movies? I think so. She's a total bitch. Well, I know that. Yeah. But she got cured in the X Men movies. Damn. Yeah. I know that gets all messed up though. Everything's about to get turned upside down. They get messy. Yeah. I actually there's a moment that Mystique appears where I'm at that you learn something about her, and I was like, I need to go and look that up and see if that's comic accurate. Because they'd made a choice with what her character does, and I was like, I wonder if that's real. In fact, she's married to a girl. Yeah. Yeah, I've seen that. Okay. Yeah, I'm at the bar that I'm I was staying at the bar. Okay. yes. visuals are some of the best I've seen on my PS5 Pro. Seriously, the graphics truly look next gen. Specifically, the Japan levels look mind-blowing. Weakest part of the game, I would say, is the story. It's not bad, but it's also not winning any awards. I also just really enjoyed the voice acting and the writing. also on all of that nonsense about the game hold hand holding you. is completely overblown. In conclusion, this game completely blew my expectations and made me feel like Wolverine, I can't wait to jump in a new game plus and go through the game again eight and a half out of ten. Good. That's a good review. Yeah. Also, you know, have you seen the videos of that you don't have to play the driving missions to just get there? Yeah. I a lot of the comments I saw, I totally agree with these comments are people I'm sorry. One of the guys commented, I'm sorry, I'm I think Insomniac assumed that you might want to play the game. Yeah. Instead of sit like what the f I mean, who gives a shit? Just play it and enjoy it. You're not playing. I mean, I guess people need that. They need it to be hard. I don't know. It's just weird. I want to find like a really bad review and see what they would say about it. There's plenty. Which pisses me off. I'm glad I I almost didn't and just the amount of switch up and hate. Okay. Yeah, here we go. This says Marvel's Wolverine is the biggest disappointment of the PS5 era. Jesus. Insomniac tries way too hard to copy God of War's playbook. So? Okay. It works. skimming through, getting away from the comparatively lighthearted joy of its critically acclaimed Spider Man series, Insomniac, dials up the blood and tears for its heavy take on Wolverine. Brutal battles are punctuated by weepy monologues as Logan reflects on his tortured past, its storytelling straight out of God of War, almost to the point of self parody. Through Insomniac's instincts are understandable given Sony's long success with. Story-driven single-player action games, Wolverine too often comes across as a forced attempt to engineer an award-winning game. Visceral Combat, an impressive blockbuster, cannot rescue a melodramatic comic book story that tries to run as many emotional bases as possible in 15 blood-soaked hours. Yeah, right. There are no X-Men here, only Team X, a rad tag group of heroes led by Nathaniel Essex. much of the story sees Insomniac picking up puzzle pieces from comic history and finding new ways to slot them together. Sometimes it finds success in experimentation. Spoiler. Not saying it. Thank you. Not saying it. Not saying that either. Well, that's enough of the reviews, I guess. other comic book pieces don't fit together as cleanly, Insomniac tries to juggle a glut of characters in a fairly compact story. An ambitious move considering Wolverine feels often like he's meant to be focused as a character study before an X-Men game came out. Heroes like Mystique only developed in passing as the story tightens its focus on Logan and Gene's relationship, while other underused characters come off as cameos. Mm, I disagree. the hand okay. See, I I agree. I kind of agree here because I just said that you spend a long time in Japan. But like early on in the game, you jump from location to location to location. It says the entire second act feels weird because it feels like the hand is just a five hour DLC in the middle of Logan's story. Weird. Which I did kind of think that at one point. I was just like, wait, why? All of a I was like, why the hell are we in Japan? Why are we doing this right now? We were just fighting dudes that were like robots and human, and now all of a sudden we're fighting the hand and I didn't expect that to end so quick either. Well Trask storyline. I thought he'd be the whole time. Yeah, but But he wasn't. I mean spoiler alert, you fight those you fight you keep fighting those guys again. I know that. Yeah. And I I'm assuming the robots too. I don't know. I d well, I do know, but I don't know. yeah, we do. But they exp they explain, they explain that. Anyway. yeah, I'm I'm close to the end. I feel I could be wrong, because like we could I could have another five hours of where we're at now, and I love that because honestly, I I love this game. I think it's great. The fighting's awesome. The fighting is awesome, but I will give a little bit of criticism because it does feel like I'm just doing ek or square square triangle. Square square triangle. Square square triangle. And you do unlock like those little moves that make up the little thing. And I've learned how to use them when they're appropriate or whatever. Once you become surrounded, use that spinny one. That one's leaping. Fuck yeah. you get another one later on where you kind of just run up to somebody and you just like slash them from fifty different directions. And it's a good like if you need especially like during some of the later boss fights. Like you fought the you you said you finished Trask. Okay, so you fought the the sent the sentinel already. You fought the robot. That's wild, yeah. Yeah. the hell am I gonna beat this thing? And so like when you're fighting that, it would have been so useful to go back and fight him and use that move because every time that arm landed and you were smashing the arm, you would have taken it out like in two attempts. Like it's so strong. Okay, good. I'm gonna do the I d I haven't done it with the Spider Man games, but I'm gonna do the new game plus. Just because I need a little bit extra of a boost to get me closer and closer to Grand Theft Auto. Yeah, really. but all in all, I I really like it. I think it's awesome. I love it. sure some of these criticisms would make sense. I wish it was longer. I do wish the story was longer, but there's only so much you can do with Wolverine. Yeah. Plus, like, I mean, most stories aren't really that long anyway. And who knows, maybe we will get an X-Men game that you get to play as Mystique and Gene and This is Logan sounds like Avengers two waiting to happen. Yeah, right. Yeah. I worry about those team up games because then they end up like that Avengers movie or game. Yeah. Well, to be fair, I really enjoyed that Avengers game for like the first ten hours and then I was like, this is and then Suicide Squad ended up being very similar to the Avengers. Suicide Squad was fucking the biggest waste of my money ever. It was so dumb. It was terrible. They killed Arkham Batman, but I guess they came out and didn't kill him. I don't know. Some weird shit. You hear those heavily rumors of of a new Arkham game coming? I have not heard those rumors. Beyond Arkham, most likely. Batman Beyond. Really? That's the rumor, I guess. I see it all the time. Didn't Batman die at the end of Arkham Night? Yeah, but Batman Beyond is not Bruce Wayne. No? Mm-mm. He's a different guy. He's but he's taught by Bruce Wayne. And we don't know if he died, remember? because at the end Batman was there. Yeah. The nightmare Batman. That's true. We don't know. That's true. I knowing Bruce Wayne, no, he did not die. Yeah, he probably did something. And if if there is another Arkham game, they would do what they did in the Dark Knight Rises and explain, like they'd probably go back and rewind and show you where Batman where we all thought he died, but show how he escaped and how he had a backup plan and always does. That would be a great PS six launch title right there. I don't know when we're gonna get a PlayStation 6, but I assume it's not. I assume it's not far. No, it's not. Two years. If you look Yeah, I think by twenty twenty eight we have a PlayStation Six. Yeah, because GTA six is coming out on PlayStation Five. So I I would have expected that to be the PS six launch. That would have been fire. But it's not PlayStation exclusive, so I guess not. But I d I do think that I wonder. I wonder that. I do wonder. When when does it rumored already, I'm pretty sure. I think they're work I think they've come out and said that we're working on it, but like we don't know when When will the PlayStation PS six come out? PS Yas. between late 2027 and 2028 is the rumor. So we were right. Two years. It's 2026, right? Jesus. Yeah. Yeah, I'll be losing my butt. I could see them I could see them announcing it next summer and saying it's coming. By holiday twenty twenty seven or holiday twenty twenty eight. You think they can make enough this time? What do you mean? So we don't have to No, I think it'll be a problem again. Why? I don't know. It's not like it's not gonna sell. I don't know. So s but they need to do I like to think that they'd fight the scalper thing by doing that. I don't know, but like I I I like to think that they would come up with some way to make it so that people can't buy more than one. Yeah. And the st that's scalping was an issue on the last one too. People were buying it for twelve hundred bucks. Like, I'm never paying that much money. No. The next one probably will be the next one could be seven hundred bucks. At least, I think. God damn it, dude. I don't I can't keep up with this shit in this world. I mean, you think about things like Like inflation. Well yeah, but you think about like how much money people are willing to pay for things like people are willing to pay two thousand dollars for like a new iPhone. And like I'm paying two thousand dollars. I'm gonna get that damn flipper flip folding phone. The flipper. I mean it's not gonna be two thousand dollars 'cause I'm gonna pay it monthly or whatever. it might be two thousand by the time it's done and paid, but yeah, Wolverine. Love it. I like it a lot. That's all I can say. Stay tuned for when the next to stay tuned. It probably won't be next episode and and I can confirm. Next episode we will have not talked about the ending because the next episode is going to be recorded immediately after this one. Yeah. Because of two reasons. Number one, we need to get him out. And number two, I am having a surgery on Friday. And I will be down and out. I had my pre surgery appointment on Friday. And they told me that I'm gonna get home on Friday around lunchtime after the surgery and that I am not allowed to move for two and a half days. Damn, that sucks. I know, I'm so fucking mad. man, what are you gonna do? Play Wolverine? It's almost like I'm gonna move my PlayStation upstairs to our bedroom and just play the shit out of anything for three days. That's awesome. They said, like, I'm not even allowed to like get up and shower, like no moving. Damn, too bad you couldn't schedule this when GTA came out. Well, I originally was going to, but then there was a reason why. Maybe it was because it's so close to Thanksgiving. and I don't know what we're doing for Thanksgiving. Like we might travel or do something. Like I don't I don't know. It's not we haven't talked about it really, but I there was a reason why I said, let's just do it now, just to get it done and out of the way. I know what I'm doing for Thanksgiving. Working here. yeah. Yeah. at least I always know, right? You do. Wolverine, it's fun. Wolverine's fun. Love it. Now, do you would you I don't know if they could always do DLC later. I mean, I don't know how the game ends. I assume the game ends, and then we will either get a tease for another game coming. There'll be three of them, I bet. I hope. I hope. Me too. I hope. Because I really I'm I'm gonna be bummed if I get home later and play more, and then I'm done in like an hour. I will be bummed because I'll be like, man. But like saved it. Where I'm at in the story. I'm at in the story, like in the in a movie where like the main character comes to a realization and they're like, I know what I gotta do. And then they go immediately to fight the bad guy. You're in the forty, you're in the last 45 minutes. Maybe. If it was a movie, I'm in the last 45 minutes. Maybe even the last 30. I think I'm right in the, I'm right in the I'm in the middle 45. But let's pray it's a movie like Endgame where there's another. Hour to go, and so in video game form it would be like five hours instead of original Fantastic Four movie where the guy turns into Dr. Doom and then there's like 15 minutes left in the movie. Yeah, what the hell was that? Yeah, I don't know. but that's what we had at the time, and at the time I was like, That Dr. Doom is sick. He was. R.I.P. to the actor, he died last year, last year or the year before. Damn, he had cancer or something. That sucks. but yeah, I hope I hope I have at least I hope I have at least three hours left. But but then I will immediately cause New Game Plus came out with the game. I will immediately go back and play it again. You're gonna a hundred percent it. Yeah, I'll try. I will too. It's easy. I'll get all the chests and 'cause then you eventually get all the suits. Huh? So you can get all the suits too. Yeah. Yeah. Then you also have to get all the combos so you can do these. There's a couple challenges that unlock you suits the higher tiers you go. You know what I'm saying? I do. Yeah, so I can't there's one of them that's like forty thousand score, and that's gonna take me forever with the moves that I have now. I can't survive that long. I just did one that unlocked me and I did it. It was like survive waves of enemies or whatever. That one, yeah. And I just did it and I unlocked the first tier out of three for the Hellarine. Yeah. Wolverine. And it's just Wolverine on fire. He looks like Ghost Rider. That'd be wait, that one I don't know. That'd be a cool game, Ghost Rider. I don't know anything about Ghost Rider. I don't really either. We're about to. Is it next year? Yeah. Ryan Gosling, correct? He's gonna be great. Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, I think so too. Well, that's kind of it for this episode. That's it. Little Avengers, Road to Doomsday, and then some Wolverine stuff. Little Avenge's little Wolveriney. Bye. So we enjoyed that. I hope you enjoyed that. It was kind of all over the place, but I hope you enjoyed that. Yeah. If you did, let us know.
