Roy Clapp: I the scores here if you want me. Josh DeMage: I can go through it real quick. week three is over, already going into week four. Kinda crazy how fast that was. we started on Thursday night, that is week two. We started on Thursday night where the Falcons went into Green Bay and really dominated the Packers. This one was a a bit of a shocker to me. it was the Michael Pennock's return and it was the B. John Robinson and Drake London show. And it was that was it. Falcons go into Lambo and win 35-14. Takes us to Sunday. Steelers host the Bengals, take care of the Bengals 30-27. Jaguars host the former AFC champions. Patriots, they take care of the Patriots 35-6 in a blowout. Next one. Famous Jameis survives the hang on to beat the Titans. Giants win 12-7. Commanders at home with Marcus Mariota, I have the hiccups, excuse me. Take care of the former Seattle Sea or Super Bowl champion Seahawks, thirty three thirty one in an ugly game for the Seahawks. Lions take care of the Jets 31-24. Browns beat the Panthers 21-18 at home. Chiefs Roy Clapp: You Josh DeMage: go to Miami and take care of the Dolphins 24-10. Bills take care of the Chargers at home 24-16. Colts win a close one. Battle the 0-2s at this point. So this was a big game for division purposes. Colts win 19-17. Niners take care of the Cardinals 36-30. Vikings beat the Buccaneers 23-16. Baker ends up getting hurt in this game. Raiders go into New Orleans and win 35-27 over the Saints. Ravens beat the Cowboys on a game-winning field goal. Got down the field in Roy Clapp: Thank Josh DeMage: seven seconds. 34-31 in Brazil. And then Sunday night football, the Broncos beat the Rams 30-26 in a really good game. And then last night, the Eagles throw a stinker up there. They lose to the Bears, who played their third string quarterback, Case Keenum. Twenty seven to seven. The Bears win. Roy, you got anything with those? Roy Clapp: I mean, there's just, mean, NFL football is so weird. I mean, there's some teams that I just can't, I mean like. just surprising games. mean, the Jags look good, but just like, where was I? The Browns beating the Panthers. The Panthers have looked decent in a lot of the Browns look awful. And then they go in there and they pretty much handled the game, most of the game and then Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: took care of it. The Chargers look terrible. The Packers on Thursday night looked bad. The Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: Bills just kind of, you know, didn't, I mean, Chargers had the game. bust the game, then the Bills can take the fourth quarter and just win it. There's just, this is, think, and the injuries again, are just starting to pile up more and Josh DeMage: Yep. Roy Clapp: more. These teams are just, I just, you don't know who the, who they got. Josh DeMage: Nope. Roy Clapp: The Broncos Rams look, game was really good. Case Keenum, I don't know, it's just like, I think I saw where Big Cat said he just, hey, he was random. He'd come out and just third string quarterback, Cakes in, comes in and just throws it. It plays really well week one and then they'll probably stink the next rest a couple of weeks. So Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: this kind of happens. Josh DeMage: Yeah. lot of upsets to me this week. Commanders beat the Seahawks. to me the Steelers beating the Bengals is still an upset a little bit. Raiders beating the Saints. I don't know if I'd call it an upset, but I don't know if I expected that one. Bears over the Eagles. What's that? I Roy Clapp: Raiders being 3-0 though. Raiders 3-0. Josh DeMage: know. Yep. That's why. I don't know if it's an upset. Falcons over the bear or Falcons over the Packers. Browns over the Panthers. Just felt like there was a lot of upsets this week. but yeah, I agree with you. There's a lot of injuries going around right now. So I'm gonna go over our picks from the week in NFL. Bru excuse me. Bryce did have the best week. He went nine and seven. I'm one game behind him at eight and eight. Roy, you had a six and ten week. You didn't have a great week. a lot of your fifty-fifties Roy Clapp: No. Josh DeMage: didn't go your way. so those are NFL standings from this past week. Sorry, I'm watching the Yankee game as we speak. There will be no baseball on Roy Clapp: I am too. Josh DeMage: this episode. we covered that all last night. Yanks first and second one out. all right. So we're gonna jump right into our picks for next week. We're gonna start it. The Steelers, and I don't have Bryce's picks. He said he was gonna do it, he never did, so I don't know what Bryce's picks are. Steelers are gonna go Roy Clapp: Yeah, we'll take care of it. Josh DeMage: to the Browns. I'll take the Steelers in this one. Oops. Roy Clapp: Yeah, I'll take the Steelers, the two-and-a-point favorites. know, short week, think I'll take them. I don't think De'John Watson can continue to have the weeks that he's been having. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Next one, the Colts will go to the Commanders, but this game will actually be in London, so it's not a home game for the Commanders. I'll go first. I'm gonna take the Colts on on this one. I think their run game will just be able to travel a little bit easier. Roy Clapp: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Colts too. I think they looked better last week than they did the first two weeks. London's always a weird one. I just don't know. You never know who can show up and who's not. That field's not the greatest. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Dallas is going to go to the Texans, which is just down the road to them. Texans 0-3, but d do have a good defense still. I'll go first. My gut tells me the Texans are gonna win just because I think the Cowboys will find a way to lose, but I'm gonna take Dallas in this one. Roy Clapp: mean, Texas defense looks good, but their offense looks god awful. As long as Niko's out and everything, I'm gonna take Dallas. Their offense looks. Josh DeMage: I did read that he thought there was he was probable to play, or, you know, expecting that he was on track, but again, you don't know until Roy Clapp: Yeah, just, I've not been impressed with the Texans offense at all, so. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Next one, the Patriots will go to the Bills and play the Patriots. I'll Roy, I'll let you go first on this one. Roy Clapp: I'm gonna take the bills. mean, the bill is just fine. Josh Allen is willing that team to do whatever it needs to do to win. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Yeah, I agree. I'm gonna take the Bills. Their defense seemed to be a little bit imp more improved. excuse me. So that I think that helps them out. so I'm gonna go the Bills as well. Next one, the Jets are gonna go to Chicago to play the Bears. I'll take the Bears on this one, who no matter who's playing quarterback. Roy Clapp: Yeah, I'm not take the Bears. The Jets just look, mean, there's rice all rice all is out. So yeah. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Jags will go to Cincinnati to play the Bengals. Roy, I'll let you go first on this one. Roy Clapp: I'm gonna take the Jags. look, their defense looks really good. And they're just being able to run the ball and do little things. They're not flashy on offense, but I think I'll take the Jags. Josh DeMage: Yeah, I'm in agreement with you. I'm gonna take the Jags, even though I do think the Bengals could win this game just with their offense. the Jags have looked good so far. next one. Cardinals are gonna go to the Giants and play in New York. I'll go first on this one. I'm gonna take the Cardinals. They've really put up points in their three games. that part I've liked, and I don't think the Giants offense right now can put up that many points. I'm sure the Giants defense will slow him down a little bit, but I'm gonna take the Cardinals in this one. Roy Clapp: I am going to take the Giants. just think the Giants, I don't know. just, the Cardinals, yes, but I think the Giants defense looks really decent that they can slow them down and maybe just run the ball enough. That's what they're doing is run the ball. can't throw it with Jason. James Winston look, his arm is shot. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Just re just extended him too, two years ten million or something like that. Roy Clapp: Yeah, and then it just picked up JJ McCarthy, so. Josh DeMage: Yeah, we didn't talk about that. That's what I'm talking about. I don't know if you saw it, Roy, but I'm I'm clapping. Roy Clapp: I'm watching. My TV is a little behind so I can... Hey, I'll take it. I saw it. I I really don't know why, but yeah. Roy Clapp: Well, because we know baseball. People should listen to us. Josh DeMage: I know. Some people really don't think I should be talking baseball since I couldn't remember Zach Wheeler's name. I thought that was pretty funny. Okay, next one. The Rams are gonna go to Philly and play the Eagles. I'll go first. I I that I don't know what the Eagles issue is. I don't know if it's injuries up front. That offense looked horrific. their defense really didn't look good either, and their defense has always been their calling card. I'm gonna take the Rams in this one. Roy Clapp: I am too. Jalen Hurt looked terrible. Bad decision making, not doing, I don't know if he's hurt again already, but Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: I'm taking a rants. Josh DeMage: Next one. Packers are gonna go to the Bucks. Baker Mayfield is not playing in this game. They're playing Roy Clapp: He's out for three to four weeks. Josh DeMage: a third or a second stringer and I don't know who he is. I know he went to Kansas, but I don't know like anything about him. Packers really looked rough. Roy Clapp: I'm gonna take, yeah. Josh DeMage: Sorry, excuse me, my throat's killing me tonight. Roy Clapp: That's right. This is a tough game. Both teams don't look very good. I'm take the Packers though. Josh DeMage: Yeah, if the Packers were playing anyone else really, I would probably not take the Packers, but I just I can't take the Bucks with the offense they have right now. I'm gonna take the Bucks as well. Come on, Goldie, hit the fucking ball. Next one, Titans will go to the Ravens. I'll take the Ravens. Roy Clapp: Ravens. Josh DeMage: next one, Dolphins will go to Minnesota. I'll be taking the Vikings. Roy Clapp: Yeah, but yeah, I mean, those dolphins are terrible. I'll take Minnesota. Josh DeMage: Chiefs will go to the three and Raiders in Vegas. Roy, I'll let you go first on that one. Roy Clapp: I mean, what would you thought of this? 3-0 Chiefs versus 3-0 Raiders. I am going to take the 3-0 Chiefs. Their defense looks so Josh DeMage: I with you. Roy Clapp: tough. Josh DeMage: You know, I I look at the Raiders and yes, I don't think I don't think they're great. They did spend a lot of money at the linebacker position, so that is improved and you can tell. And but I think their coach that they hired. they hired is it half? I don't know which one they hired. I think it's the Rams guy. they've looked good. I think they're they're well coached, and I think that's why they've hung around in some of these games. And I you know, you're gonna find a way to win and some lose some close games, but good coaching can keep you in the game and you know not let things slip away. And I think that's been a big reason why they've hung around and they've just found ways to win. Roy Clapp: Okay. Josh DeMage: Next one, this is a good week or a good game, and I'll go first on this one. The Broncos will go to San Francisco to play the 49ers. I'm gonna take Denver to go on the road and beat the Niners. Roy Clapp: I am too. think the Broncos defense is finally waking up a little bit. I think Bo Nix after Monday night or Thursday, it Monday? Yeah. Monday night's game looked a lot better. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Chargers will go to Seattle to play the Seahawks, Roy. Roy Clapp: Seattle that I don't think the Chargers there are not often struggles too much Josh DeMage: Yeah, the Seahawks didn't look great in their game, but I I do think they'll beat the Chargers. Lions are gonna go down to Carolina to play Panthers. I'll take the Lions on this one. Roy Clapp: I will too. Lions look better this week. Josh DeMage: And then that was Sunday night football. Monday night football will be s the Falcons are gonna go to the Saints. Ooh, I don't know. The Falcons looked really good last week. I don't think they'll be that good every week. The Saints have been better than expected. I'm still gonna go to the Falcons just because they have a guy named B. John Robinson Roy Clapp: Damn, I was gonna, I'm taking the Falcons. I think Pinnix looked actually pretty good. I'm gonna take the, yeah. Yeah, Josh DeMage: Yeah. Outside of his interception on the first drive, I thought he played really well. Roy Clapp: I thought he played well, so. Josh DeMage: Okay, those are our picks. one thing I didn't say, so I set our o our record from last week. Our overall NFL scores, only NFL. Me and Bryce are both tied for first and second, twenty-nine and nineteen. Roy, you're three back, twenty-six and twenty-two. So that's just NFL. And that's gonna take us to college football, Roy. Roy Clapp: All right, college football here. Let me, I'm going to pull up stuff here. So what a week. A lot of college football, a lot of things went on. Liberty. in our games, Indiana almost got beat by Northwestern. was 29-23. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: Indiana pulled off on Thursday night. Texas barely beats Tennessee 2017. Georgia smoked Oklahoma. Yeah, Josh DeMage: Georgia looks good. Roy Clapp: they look too good. Notre Dame smoked Purdue, Florida smoked Ole Miss, 52-28, Ohio State, Illinois Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: 42-19. It looks closer than the score was most of the game. Alabama beats 40, wins 49-18 after having South Carolina punching their star defensive players, punching Josh DeMage: Yep. Roy Clapp: one of their players. LSU wins 35-6. see. Oregon beats USC 41-27. Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: Wisconsin upsets Penn State 24-20. Iowa beats Michigan on the last second. Michigan Josh DeMage: Yeah. Roy Clapp: lost that game. don't, don't forget that penalty. Stupid, just, just dumb mistakes. Don't get me started on that game. It was just ridiculous on just effort. Other games. TCU got beat by UFC. Oklahoma State beats West Virginia. Toledo beats SDSU. Kent State beats Ball State. This is more of a you know combination of all you know the last few years of this. I am just so shocked how bad Lincoln Riley's been in USC. I mean, he was so good at Oklahoma, especially in offense. I mean, sure, could they maybe not ever win a natty because their defense wasn't that good? Yes. But man, they just I I really, you know, USC is. Just as big, a little smaller, a little bigger, wherever you want to put it, compared to Oklahoma. It wasn't like he was going from a high you know school to a mid-major. but man, it's been bad. And the only other thing I want to talk about is Jeremiah Smith tore the living shreds out of U of I. my gosh. That's it. Roy Clapp: Yeah, and then you fired your defensive coordinator this week. I the only thing I will talk about baseball. we did our baseball episode last night. If you haven't watched it, really good episode. it's about 35, 40 minutes. Gives a good breakdown of all the series that are playing right now. watch it now because shit by the t if you w wait till tomorrow night, they might be over. you never know. Braves win game one on an Austin Riley three run shot in the bottom of the eighth. Phillies Don Mattingly actually went to the Phillies closer in the seventh inning. Went seventh inning and eighth inning. I think he was gonna bring in someone else for the ninth, but went seventh and eighth and gave up a three run shot to Austin Riley. and then the White Sox really took care of Houston game one in in Houston, put up some runs and held held him down for the most part. So and then right now the Yankees are hosting Boston. The Yankees lead one nothing in the bottom of third, and I hope The Yankees win this game. So, Roy Clapp: Yep. Josh DeMage: alright. And I don't have a game because I was really wanting to get back to watching this Yankee game. So I don't have a game for us. Roy Clapp: Yep, I don't have a game either because that's fun to get back to the game. Josh DeMage: Alright. A little bit short for an episode.
