And than that, I had paranormal activity my entire life. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Make sure you check the descriptions on all my episodes. While you're over there listening to their shows, leave them a comment and tell them John sent you. And with that, let's start the show. And that's what Jeff was telling me. Jeff said that this was your first time ever doing a podcast. So I'm honored that you would choose me to be your first. Rich: Well, thanks. I didn't know what a podcast was until about a month ago. The tech and I don't get along. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. And there's a ton out there. So if you ever decide to checking out podcasts about the paranormal, there is a ton out there. But the best one, it has a mullet. That's what I found. If they have a mullet, then you've reached the pinnacle of podcasting when you have a mullet. Jeff: Okay. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Hahaha. Rich: Ha ha ha ha ha. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So Jeff was telling me very little about what experiences are because as people know, ⁓ don't ⁓ to hear my ⁓ encounters before they come on the show. So ⁓ start ⁓ the beginning, How did your paranormal encounters or you have start? Rich: Right. was born this way. Mom and my grandmother and great-grandmother all were, lack of term, psychics. My earliest encounter was about two years old. lived in an old house in this little town called Colchester. And I was sitting there on my mom's lap and she was reading a book one day and she said I jumped up and crawled up over her shoulder and was trying to get up and over the couch. And she said, what are you doing? And she turned and looked and there was an old lady standing in the middle of the room. And she caught me before I fell over the back of the couch and I said, ghost. Ghost. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. at two years old, you were already seeing these. I think, actually, I think a lot of kids see these things. And tell them, it's imagination. And ⁓ then stop, they stop, you know, believing. ⁓ And, well, was just my imagination. I didn't really see that. Rich: Yeah, but- We're connected to heaven as a young kid you still have that connection. And like you said, when society says, you're that up, you just got play friends, that's all fake. We want to fit in with everybody else so we tune out. And for people that fades over time anyway. But if you tune out that then you don't see it anymore. Mine never tuned out. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I interrupted you there. your, your mom caught you before you fell over the back of the couch. Rich: Um, she caught it, caught me. then she asked what the, the ghost, the soul lady wanted, and she backed off and walked out of the room. Well, a couple of days went by and moment to the neighbor and said, Hey, um, what is, if you notice anything about our house and the conversation kind of went from there. And she said, this lady kept saying, Charlie, Charlie, and the neighbor Lady got real white and she said, well, the lady that lived there lived there for about 60 years and she had a collie dog. Not Charlie, it was a collie dog. when the lady died, ⁓ dog was chained to the kitchen table and of course passed because nobody was there taking care of it. So they were both stuck there. And this ghostly lady was coming up trying to get help for her Charlie dog, her Collie dog. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: That was kind of the start of everything. and Myths Monsters And Mullets: ⁓ So you were the one that heard ⁓ ⁓ say Charlie or Collie? Okay. Wow. So could your mom see the entity? Rich: Yeah. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Okay, okay. Wow, wow. So what happens next? Rich: Oh, we have to fast forward till... Oh shoot, I was probably about 17, 18 years old. I saw things my entire life, but as a kid, you don't realize that's not normal. It would be like somebody having an extra finger. Well, I just have an extra finger. Who cares? Plus, we're all about the same age. We grew up in the 80s, and if you mentioned you saw... ghost or anything else you're in the risk of people calling you crazy and and worse Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah, yeah. I've had this discussion a lot of times, you know, back when we were growing up, ghosts and anything paranormal wasn't something that you talked about. You know, it wasn't something that even most families, that wasn't dinner table conversation, you know, because that was taboo. Rich: Yeah, even in our family, we didn't talk about it much because you're afraid people would overhear it and start asking questions. And we grew up in a very, very small town. And of course, everybody was related to everybody. And if got out, you ran the risk of. Hey, you're either crazy or we call the people in the white coats come get you. So ⁓ it wasn't talked about a lot. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So you said it was like 17, 18 years old and what happened? Rich: graduated high school got a summer job and applied to community college we lived right on the of two community colleges. I applied the one, happened. About six weeks later, they said, hey, we can't accept you. you're in the wrong tax district. So this went on for about a month and we got down to about two weeks where college classes were supposed to start ⁓ a little agitated with the whole thing and I've always been fascinated with the Army and the military, that kind of stuff. I thought, you know what, I'm not going to college. I'll just go join the Army. They can pay for my college when I get out and we'll be done with all this baloney. So I took off and I went towards the recruiters after work and I made it about two or three blocks from the recruiting station I was in a really foul mood and all of sudden I heard, not this time. And it was very, very loud, very clear. And I said, what? ⁓ I heard, not this time. And it's gonna sound really strange, but I lost. control of what I was doing. It was like I was in autopilot. I missed my turn there to go to the recruiting station and I made it about another two blocks and that's the last thing I remember. Now we lived about eight miles out in the country at the time and the next thing I remember is turning to go to our little township road and to go home. And what I found out later was, I don't know if you do past life stuff, but I had some past life issues that I had to deal with. I was killed several times in several different wars. And for this lifetime, I wasn't meant to go to the Army. But for that 20 minute drive, I couldn't tell you what happened. I have no clue. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So how did you find out about this past life stuff? Rich: ⁓ that's a big can of worms. I was Still learning how to do all this stuff. But and I and dad were sitting around one day and we're talking about how to some of the symbols and stuff that you see in here. And I was still hung up on this. ⁓ did that event happen? Because I couldn't understand that lack of time there. And mom said, well, what seeing is you were killed in fire. And I said, I don't get it. And I sat there for a second. And then the next thing I knew, I jumped into what looked like Ridge. If you ever watched that movie. Where all the trees are blown up and everything's on fire and that kind of stuff. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Rich: I was standing on this little hilltop and it fell down into a little valley and my commanding officer was to my right. And he said, everybody retreat. And I said something like, don't be a coward, but that's cleaned up quite a bit. I went down that ridge violating that order. And when I got to the bottom of that ridge, I pulled up my weapon and before I could fire, there was a giant explosion. And back eye blue and it was just a big fireball and that's the last thing that I remember from that and I popped back into my head or my body. Now the weird thing is when I was born I had a very large birthmark on my left wrist. It was probably about the size of 50 cent piece. It almost covered my whole wrist. Just a big brown dot with like a white center in the middle of it. So as we're trying to figure out what war I was in and that kind of stuff, that thing started itching like crazy. So as got done for that day and went home and within about a month that birthmark started disappearing. And within about two years ⁓ was gone. There's no little sign of it now at all. And what I found out later is I got shot through that wrist. When I got blown up, either a piece of shrapnel or a bullet or whatever went through that wrist and caused that damage. But by not confronting that past, but reliving that past and trying to get over that issue, it got rid of injury, that old injury. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. So, so this was, this was, I don't know if you even know this question, the answer to this question. Was this the life that happened right before this one? Wow. Rich: We live in kind of, I don't know why I want to say this, soul groups. There's groups of souls and we interact with each other throughout several different lifetimes. And the reason I bring that up is, Dad was also a soldier in World War I and was killed in World War I. After this event happened, we were sitting around doing I remember what we were talking about. We were talking about history, I think. Dad has always had trouble with his teeth. He's almost all the top row of his teeth and ⁓ nobody ever tell him why. And then nobody could figure it out. So he's got ⁓ complete So we're sitting talking about history or whatever it was. And I back in, got tuned back in, just out of the blue and trying. saw him in World War I. And the neat thing about that event was I was in his actual body. could see through his eyes, which was kind of cool. That never happened before. And he had a very similar experience. They were in a machine gun. Position nest whatever you want to call it and they were in a grass field and you can see the hedgerows and that kind of stuff and The enemy was attacking and everybody got shot around him except for him and one other guy he said this other guy said let's go we got to go and Dad me stood up and started firing this machine gun And as soon as he stood up completely, he took a round right below the nose. And of course that killed him. But it blew all his teeth out. So that happened, I jumped back in my body and I said, does that make any sense at all? And he says, yeah, I think so. Because how would that explain the teeth? And I said, well, tell me about the railroad tracks. And he said, what? And said, you've got a scar somewhere that looks like railroad tracks. And said, yeah, and he pulled up his pant leg and he had about nine inch scar that went from bottom of his knee to about his ankle. And World War I, that's what they called battle scars, those railroad tracks. Because the way they sutured those ⁓ wounds and made those lines across the wound, and it looked like railroad tracks. That was my second encounter with doing past life stuff. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Wow. Maybe, maybe my mom lied to me because I got a scar on my right ankle from, she said it was from a surgery. I don't remember it, but it's one of those railroad tracks cars where you can see the suture mark across it. No, actually I do remember it. I'm just pulling your chain. Rich: don't see anything off that so that like a bicycle accident to me. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: No, no actually I had a circulatory problem in my foot and when I was five they had to go in and reroute some vessels but that's beside the point. ⁓ Rich: Ha ha ha. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So, I've never gotten into this. ⁓ never had anybody come on the show to talk about past life, ⁓ know, events and stuff like that. So, this is all brand new to me. How ⁓ does other than the scars and stuff like that, that, you know, went away, some of, you you said the birthmark went away. How does the life affect your current life? Rich: Let's say you... Okay, I've got another example for you. I did a reading for a young man. went to his folks called and they had a ghost and it was ⁓ bothering them. So went to the house to clear out the ghost. And when I there, this young man was about 17 and he was thinking about joining the military again. And I said, you may want to rethink that. You've already been there once. There's other options. You can go to college, that kind of stuff. And he said, I've never been to the military. I'm 17 years old. And I said, you were a Marine. I said, you're very regimented. You have to have everything, a certain way, everything's got to be neat. You don't speak a lot unless you're spoken to. Very militaristic mannerisms. And he kept going, no, no, no, no, no. And these folks were going, yeah, yeah, he's that way. And I said, you're also afraid of water. And he got this weird look on his face. And I said, what happened with the water? he said, I don't swim. I don't get anywhere near it. I'm petrified of the water. And I said, I don't like tell you why. He said, you're a Marine in World War II. And. There's a term, it's called minding the ropes or something like that. Those ropes they had on the side of the ship where you climbed down them to get to your landing craft. They said you didn't mind your ropes and you fell. And a lot of people don't know is those guys had so much gear on, you know, they might have a 90 pound pack on. And if they fell in those little vests, called them Maywest life vest. They didn't do nothing. especially if you've got another 90 pounds on you and those guys would just sink to the bottom and they drowned. And they said, you messed up your robes and you fell off that ship and drowned. And he kind of got a blank look on his face and he says, I've had nightmares of falling somewhere and falling in water and drowning. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Rich: So it was a little bit time after that, but to answer your question. When people can confront some of this past life issues, get over their phobias and fears. Within a couple of weeks, he started taking swimming lessons and eventually got over being afraid of water. But he said, I never even got close enough to even attempt to take swimming lessons before. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Wow. Rich: All that stuff is carried over for every life. your experiences, good, bad, injuries, trauma, all that's carried over. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I feel sorry for my next life. Rich: Why? Myths Monsters And Mullets: some of my experiences in this one haven't been all that great. ⁓ Rich: And reasons for that. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Ha ha ha. Rich: The whole thing about it is learning. Each life is, you know, like say that you said this life has some hardships. Maybe your last life you had everything as easy as it could be you took advantage of that. So this life Myths Monsters And Mullets: Well, I blame my last life then for using up all my luck. Rich: Well, it happens for a reason. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So this has led to, you said, you're seeing other people's past lives. I believe, and I could be wrong, I may need to edit this, you can remote view. Rich: Yes. Jeff and I do it quite a bit, actually. It's of interesting. ⁓ Jeff: Thank you. Rich: And correct me, Jeff, if I go too far here. He does lot of work with old houses. that all right, Jeff? Jeff: You're good. Rich: Okay. And there once I'll call and they'll say, hey, I'm at this house and it feels off or weird or there's bad history here. Can you take a look and see what's going on? once I connect with somebody, I read for them or become good friends with them, then it's, I can jump to where they're at. So Jeff might be at this old house and I'll say, hey, you need to go down this left hallway and it looks like it's got green walls. And go down the hallway and then there'll be a door to left. And I can lead him around to find the clues so he can figure out what kind of entity or whatever's in that house. It's kind of like cop- ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: So when you're when I got to stop you for just a second. So when you're looking, are you seeing like as it is right now? Or are you just seeing like a floor plan or something like that? Rich: It's... ⁓ there's Jeff. Jeff: I there first off I was enjoying the backstory some of that I hadn't heard and it's absolutely it's just like you just hear and watch it but we've had tons of experiences and I don't want to I don't want to take away from your story but I had a perfect example lot of times I'll get touched or you know somebody I'll I'll be writing ⁓ I'll going kind of like this and I'm like there's cobwebs on me or something and I realize I'm in a new house and there's no cobwebs. And so I'll say, okay, if that was somebody do it again. And so it'll happen again. And that used to totally freak me out, but now it's just, know I need to call Rich and say, Hey, do you have time to look at me? And it is, it is very literally, if I tell you, he will say, okay, you're at the front door. Yes. And he'll say, you know, is there a, is there a big picture window right to your direct left? And he'll say it's a living room. I'm like, yes. And I don't tell him anything about the house. I just say, hey, look at me. I tell him nothing about what I've saw, what I felt, what I've heard, I smelled, anything. he will literally say, walk over to that window and look down. You're going to find two ⁓ chair indentations. And I'll walk over there. I'm like, I'll be dang. ⁓ he'll say, that's where ⁓ guy used to set. And I don't know how much we can. talk about a lot of people say this is not possible but over the last few years I know it's possible if somebody's a little bit lost and still there many times you can say a prayer for that guy also say a prayer that he's seen and that he can know turn and go where it's warm and nice and you know ⁓ and prayer for that that specific intent I don't think I'm breaking any rules or I'm pushing any limits or delving in anything I shouldn't. We are just helping people. then Rich can actually see ⁓ person. I mean, he doesn't tell me anything. Later, sometimes we talk, sometimes we don't. he'll me, a a little, an example would be Rich would say, ⁓ does he Did you? Okay. He'll say, did you see anything or did anything happen after that? Cause he's, he's talking to the person, you know, and as they say, thank you and goodbye. And people come to a little bit of clarity. think once they, they, they, they leave here, they're not confused anymore. They, they become more of their self so they can turn and say, tell him, thank you. And this is wonderful. And things happen, but they'll say, they'll say something to Rich that happened. And so sometimes Rich will call me and sometimes it'll be an hour later and he'll say, Hey, did anything happen? And, ⁓ I'm like, I don't know, did it? And he'll say, well, did, did she touch you? And, kind of hard to talk about because sometimes I'll say, I don't know, she, and he'll say, well, she said, ⁓ well, in one instance, rich, you, you said the lady, and I you don't really keep all this, you know, in your head or whatever. I vividly, cause it's really cool. He said, well, she said, tell Mr. Jeffries, had the name a little bit wrong. Thank you. And that he's very polite. And that I fixed his shirt. Cause this happened to be a, a maid that was, you know, took care of the head of the house and pressed his clothes and took care of him. I said, Rich, tugged on the bottom of my shirt and she run her hand down my back. And I didn't know what that meant. I didn't know what that meant. And she told him, he was a little disheveled, I fixed his shirt before he left. And that happens constantly. It may not be that, it may be you're gonna see a rainbow. And then I laugh and I'm like, it's the middle of the summer, there's only like three clouds in the sky. And I'm like, that ain't gonna happen. And I pulled to go home from that house and there'll be two little clouds and there's a sun dog. There's just a little bit of humidity or moisture up there and there's a little rainbow right there. I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. Rich: you Jeff: After a while you expect it. It's not a shock. At first when we did this, every time was like a movie. I was like, what is going on? But in answer to your question, I'm sorry, that's a long version, Rich. I'm sorry, I'll shut up. He will look right through me and say, is there a fireplace right to your right that somebody painted white? And I'll say, yeah. And he'll say, okay, I found you. And he'll say, there's a doorway right on the other side of it. It's a bedroom, she's in there. And I'll be like, Rich: it Jeff: That's exactly right. So let's go figure out what's going on. It's just, it's something that I stressed about for a long time. And I know, I mean, I'll say it doesn't affect anything. I'm Catholic. So I worried about stuff for a while. Rich knows this. I struggled with this whole situation for a long time. And I was specifically in church thinking about, you know, tell me something here. I, am I, Cause this topic also kind of leads you in other areas. And I don't, I don't know if you want to hear about past non-rich related things, but so you worry about it. It's well, you know, I've been places and things have happened. I've brought stuff home and there's been struggles and there's been prayer. And I said, I will not go there. I will not go somewhere and open myself up and say, here? I won't open any doors. I will not do that. Myths Monsters And Mullets: We'll talk about anything dude, you know how I am. Jeff: if you please just take this dark shadow thing from me. it instantly happened. And so I'm kind of praying at church saying, tell me something, you know, because I don't want to dive right back into this. And so it happened to be one of the readings actually a little part of it that said the builder must build and the healer must heal. And those who can commune are to help people. And I smiled, I'm like, okay, that's all I need to know. You know, it's like, okay, and I get that. And so I think it's okay. anytime I'm, all I'm doing is saying a prayer, right? Rich, mean, I'm saying a prayer for the person. I'm saying direct prayers asking for, know, this person to understand what's going on and be sorry and move on. ⁓ every time I start kind of praying, it's different. things I say ahead of time or whatever, because I'm like the last person I would think needs to think they're helping somebody like that. almost the first part is like, don't deserve this at all, so could you look past and could I direct these prayers directly for this person because I think they need help or whatever. And then if it's... Negative and it's bad and there's bad houses and there's that's a whole other conversation. I can't do anything I mean, that's that's more of rich thing But if it's just somebody hanging out that really wants my attention, I didn't go into this house I do appraisals so I didn't go into this house looking for ghosts But at some point they just get irritated enough that they touch me, you know, they'll they'll do something, you know Sometimes well one last ones rich. I trying to get pushed off the ladder Rich: Ha ha ha. Jeff: That made me mad. got videos there. They were flashing lights and stuff. It was really kind of nobody believed this unless they were there and you shouldn't. Well, when I was leaving, I was upset with whatever it was. I didn't have time. didn't feel real good. It was a very negative house. And so when I went out back into the exit, Rich has seen the video, whatever it was, was taking the lights and just doing this on and off on the lights. And I stood and took a video and I said. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wait, whoa, you say you got video of this? Rich: you Jeff: I said, yep, nothing exciting happens to me in my profession. And then I was trying to debunk it or whatever. It's been about 10 minutes. And finally I'm like, there's really nothing I can do here. But, anyway, that's really cool. And I, and another thing about Rich, I've, he has been, we've been places and does, he can walk through a house as it was a hundred years ago. And it is the coolest thing ever because he, we're in an open basement and he's walking in a hallway. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Ow. Jeff: and turning through a doorway and looking at something that we were seeing from the door, but he's seeing it as it was. There's a remnant or there's a hole and he'll move something off the floor and say, think there's a drain right here. And there it is. And that is, that is one of the coolest things ever to see you walk through time like that. And if it, and I'll tell you that you just like the Bigfoot conversation or whatever, you can't. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Jeff: And different people have different gifts and everything affects people differently. get that. People say, no, that's all bull crap. That's not how that works. Well, it is. You may have something that works differently, but in our instance, my instance with Rich, that's how it works. And if I haven't had seen play out so many times, we were twice a week there before I retired from that profession and, not even asking for it, just walking by something or walking by a Rich: Yeah. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Jeff: dresser that's hot. It's like, I? So like, Rich, this is stupid. Look at me. ⁓ where I'm at. And he'll be like, Whoa, you what's what's this? And then the people Myths Monsters And Mullets: You said a dresser is hot. What do mean by that? Jeff: Physically hot heat coming off of it hot to the touch and hot enough that you notice it hot might not be the exact right word rich, but you you Something's off. It's like here's this fancy painted dresser of drawers or whatever in somebody's basement and ⁓ doesn't something's and I'm like in my You know, well then come to find out sometimes it's like the people say well heck that was here. We moved here Myths Monsters And Mullets: Really? Jeff: or something crazy. it's like, what's, know, Rich will say, well, is there a picture in there? And they'll go, I don't know. And they'll open up and there's a drawer full of pictures. it turns out it's like, yeah, that's like two or three or four owners behind. That's carried a lot of energy from a lot of wicked people. And it just needs to be out the door. ⁓ And most the time, one time in however many years I've been doing this, Rich, has somebody ever disagreed? Rich: you Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Jeff: but they were persnickety and they had a lot of other stuff going on with their kids and stuff and that was but every other time people you don't even realize it and the crazy part is is if I if I'm with people now a lot of this happens at vacant houses, but if I'm with people they will They'll start talking about ghosts. It's the crazy. mean if I'm in the room if I say something like I'll be up in the in the upstairs with them ⁓ I'll say ⁓ Hey, could we let's go outside. I'm done. You know, let's go outside. My ears ring a little bit and they'll say, ⁓ that's because of the ghosts up here. there's that whole conversation. And it's just uncanny how many times that conversation just gets brought up for no just out of the blue. know, grandma's still here or whatever. then that and they're more than happy always to. I'll Rich and put him on the spot. Hey, Rich, I'm standing here with so and so and. Rich: Hehehehehe ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Jeff: Whoa, hit me with this and I'm live with these people and people generally are fascinated and interested and they're like, ⁓ by all means, you know, help this person or telling them leave or whatever. I took up a lot of that was that was the long answer to that question. Rich: you you ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: What I call that is you just made my job very easy. Jeff: Hahaha Myths Monsters And Mullets: So other than Jeff, do you ever have other people ⁓ out to you and say, can you look? Rich: like the remote stuff or where do they got a ghost in her house? Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Yeah. Either or. Rich: Yeah, it was little slow last couple months. slowly but surely people who are kind of finding out I do this stuff because it's still kind of taboo. You don't talk about ghosts or demons or, know, there's a myriad of things crawling out there. little bit off subject, people don't realize their thoughts create things. And get enough people ⁓ thinking here's a new cryptid thing I saw on TV. And if enough people start thinking that, that brings that fake cryptid into reality or that fake. Myths Monsters And Mullets: You're talking about a tulpa. That's the term for it. It's when enough people believe in something, they manifest it. Rich: ⁓ okay. Yes, that's exactly right. I didn't know what a term for it, but. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah, there's for those listening you can look up a Tulpa. A lot of people think that what I saw was a Tulpa. But it wasn't when we're not going to talk about my encounter. But you know, you talk about the creepy pastas, which was, you know, all these things that were, they were just horror stories that were told online. Like the Slender Man, the rake, you know, was just a litany of these different creatures they got passed around as you know just these creepy stories and then people started seeing them. ⁓ I think some of those were just rebranding ⁓ old cryptids given a new name but yeah the concept of a tulpa has been around for a long time and that was a long way of me saying that. ⁓ I that from Jeff. Rich: Yep. Yeah. ⁓ I got a good example for you. An old ⁓ from high school, dad and I wrote a book together and got that published and he put copies in a library. And so my friend went to the library and looked for local authors and found us. So she read it and she called me and she said, I've got something going on in my house. So long story, I go over there ⁓ and What I usually do is when I tune in, I'll do a walk through the house and I listen, I'll get clues and kind of like what Jeff was getting at is I'll hear, go to this door and I don't know why, but I'll go to that door and open it and go home. There's another clue and that kind of helps me figure out what's there. So I'm doing my walk through at this lady's house and I keep told to go down to the basement. So as we're going downstairs, said, I've never said this before, but you're an empath. And said, do you know what that is? And she said, never even heard the term. So I explained what an empath was and why that's important is she does massage therapy for a living. So as an empath, if you don't know that you are, especially with hands-on people like massage therapists, they can absorb all that negativity from their clients. So we're talking about that and we're going downstairs and she's got a little, used be, what do they call it? Coal rooms. Her house is like 150 years old. And they rooms where the people dumped the coal in and then you would feed your furnace in that coal room. keeping cold to go to that cold room. Well, she had turned it into kind of like a mini she shed. That was her place to hide and get away from things. So I went in there and there was this black giant worm about eight foot long about three foot across and it slithered up the walls. And I said, what are you doing in this room? Yeah. Yeah. And she said, well, when I get have horrible days of work and I feel bad, I come down here and the walls are so thick from being the cold room to hold the weight and all that. She says, I just shut that door. You know, I let out all those aggressions and, you know, from a bad day at work. And said, how long you been doing this? And she says, you know, 15 years or so. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So you were the only one that could see this. Rich: Well, her thought process was, I'm going to get rid of the yuck by yelling and getting out migrations down here, but it created its own entity. All that negativity and anger and junk she picked up from her clients and created this black nasty mass. ⁓ evidently is a tulpa. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Well, app actually isn't what a Tulpa is. ⁓ I misunderstood what you were talking about. She created this entity that you're talking about was created out of just all that bad stuff. She didn't believe in this. She didn't even know it existed. ⁓ Right. a Tulpa is, you know about it, you read about it, and you start believing in it, and that creates the entity. You're talking about something totally different. Rich: We didn't know about it. Right. Myths Monsters And Mullets: and I misunderstood and I apologize. Rich: Evidently I did too, but I didn't realize what topple was. This thing was causing... Cause it was so negative cause she threw it all that negative stuff out. It was causing all kinds of stuff. Uh, they bought a new car and within a couple of months, um, get electrical issues that the dealers couldn't figure out. Uh, wouldn't start some days. Just a mess. Um, long story, but I ended up cleaning that whole house and cleaning that out and, um, ended up going outside and I said, well, start your car now. She said it hasn't run for like two months. She went out there and turned the key and boom. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. ⁓ Rich: It got rid of so much of that negativity. Myths Monsters And Mullets: So I can understand how you get rid of like a trapped spirit or somebody who just needs to move on. How would, how do you get rid of that, that, you know, just that negative entity that's been created from all of her negativity basically dumping in that room? How do you get rid of something? Rich: It took a lot of prayer. Believe it or not, when people do stuff like that, creates its own consciousness. So easiest way I can say it was I talked to it and it enough to ⁓ go the light that the light destroyed it. by dissolving all that negativity. Kind like if a vampire walked out in the sunlight, it just kind of melted this thing out and it was done. And then we had a very, very long chat, hours talking about how to get rid of when she does her energy work and that kind of stuff, to get rid of that rather than bring it home and letting it collect, if that makes sense. So it doesn't happen again. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right. Right. She basically just created a landfill ⁓ of negative energy. Wow. Wow. Holy cow. Rich: Yeah. Yep. Myths Monsters And Mullets: view ever. Has there ever been anything that you weren't able to get rid of? Rich: No. And I know that kind of sounds a little bit arrogant. This is actually kind of funny. was ⁓ I said, I was a state trooper and I was always terrified of the dark, you know, big bad trooper guns and knives and you name it. But could. The reason I was is you could I could always see the creepy things crawling around the darkness. Normal people don't see. And I got to the point where it was starting to affect my ability to work in ⁓ the evening So I sat down one day and did a very long talk with the big man upstairs. And I said, how can I get over this? You gave me this gift for a reason, but it's kind of detrimental on the other side of it. And went to sleep that night. people have lucid dreams, or you kind of remember things. And this was on a completely different level. This was like, us talking here. It was completely personal and in color and all that stuff. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I never understood that. I've always dreamed in color and I just recently found out that people dream in black and white. I'm like, what are you talking about? I've always dreamed in color. I didn't realize that that was even a thing. Rich: Yeah, 99 % of the population doesn't. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: ⁓ So anyway, in this dream, it wasn't a dream I was getting spoken to. Pitch blackness, I've got creepy things behind me, breathing behind my head. And I'm of course terrified. And I walk about, I don't know, 30 yards or so and I come up on train tracks and there's trains coming by. And as the train comes up, the devil pops up on Remember those push carts they had for the railroad tracks. They'd run them so they could check the lines the devil's on there and he is Telling his little demons to come get me So as the train approaches I thought alright, this is it I'm gonna get eight by whatever's here and the headlight on this train lights up and the devil gets a strange look on his face just terrified And I still don't get to get what's going on The train gets closer and the devil gets scared as hell and he takes off. And the conductor sticks his arm out and waves and it's Yahweh, this God. can't see his face, it's this bright light. And chases the devil away and of the creepy things behind me take And the dream ends and I wake up wide awake like we're talking like this and it still doesn't make sense. I don't know what it all means. And I hear in my head that we have as lack of a better term, Christians or believers or that we have the ability to get rid of anything negative and evil in our lives. And that's what that whole dream was about. God's given us the ability to get rid of this stuff. The reason being is you have to think of it as the fallen angels and all the nasty things they create. They rejected God. Anything not of God can be dismissed and gotten rid of. It's just part of his plan. And I think that whole dream sequence was for me figure out he gave me the gift to get rid of this crap. ⁓ and get down to people's lives and help them. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Wow. Rich: I hope that made sense. Myths Monsters And Mullets: It does. It does. And we can edit this if you want. Are you a Christian? Rich: ⁓ yeah, very much so. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Okay. Wow. ⁓ Rich: There's no way could do what I do not be a Christian. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah, it's something that has that I found very interesting doing all these interviews. You know, Hollywood portrays anything that's paranormal or, you know, ghost related, any of this stuff that they make it sound like you can't be a Christian and believe in this stuff. But what I find is of the people who are looking into this stuff, they have some kind of religious beliefs, whether it's Christian or Judaism or whatever, ⁓ whatever it is. Because I think once you start looking into this stuff, you realize that we're ⁓ we're on a spiritual level here. All this, all this stuff is, is spiritual. And if you don't have that protection and that, and that, I don't know if you really want to call it protection, but at least those tools to understand that you're dealing with something that's on a higher plane than you, that you need somebody that has your back, you know, you're in, you're in a world of hurt. If you go into Rich: ⁓ yeah. Myths Monsters And Mullets: looking into this stuff without, without that belief or without that conviction that you have somebody on, you know, behind you that's going to, they're going to help you. You're in a world of hurt. Rich: You can get in trouble real quick. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Absolutely, absolutely. That was a little soliloquy there that I did. so do you think you were talking about all the creepy crawlies in the dark? What do you think about cryptids? Rich: You Well, to be quite honest, I didn't really ⁓ Cripids until I met Jeff. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Jeff was a bad influence with Bigfoot, I Jeff: Yep. Rich: ⁓ yeah. Some of them I've seen. Some of the houses I've cleaned have opened portals and... They kind of hang around those areas. Well, our house is of the weirdest houses there probably is, or our property is. Behind us is about 600 acres Jeff, probably of timber. And back behind us, there's all kinds of open portals for whatever reason. And people reported dog men behind it. else? A giant wolf. think Jeff met somebody, had a big giant wolf run across him down by the lake. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Dog man is one of those that, dog man, sometimes you you hear the black dogs, you know, the giant black dogs or whatever, the giant wolves, you hear of them in the same area as the dog man. That is one that just absolutely terrifies me. I know that I would want to come face to face with one of those creatures. Rich: I think a lot of them are hellhounds, for lack of better term. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I've always, I've always wondered if maybe dog man isn't a hell hound. And just because they, have, you know, they're, they're not, they're not from this realm. They have the ability to stand up and walk like a man. Rich: Yep, and people gave them their own term instead of just calling them a hell hound. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Rich: We cleaned out a locally here that had hellhounds. had done, I'd give away the name of the place. ⁓ They had done, it was secret society kind of thing, and they had done some horrible, horrible rituals in there and just opened that place up to all kinds of stuff. And one of the first things when I walked in that building, there was two hellhounds that guarded the entrances. Myths Monsters And Mullets: That's fine. Rich: But they stand all the way up, but they came up on their haunches. house was Native American burial site. And the people built the house back there, They did some things they shouldn't have done when building it. ⁓ it was a burial site and they kind of made fun of that. We don't believe that. The I got was they were picking beers and pouring it on the sites and urinating those mounds. And it just blew that place wide open. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: We had all kinds of weird encounters right we bought that house. Myths Monsters And Mullets: The you hear a lot of missions that you hear a lot of dog man has been associated with the burial mounds you know kind of as protectors and some people think but also burial mounds are also known as they're reported as portals. Rich: That would make sense. Myths Monsters And Mullets: You hear of lot of portals in the areas of burial mounds. Rich: And I can say that that's probably a fact. We had a poor open portal in the backyard. For whatever reason, everything fell into place ⁓ we bought this property. Sellers way too much money for the house. We couldn't it. The weird thing it's not literally the house is on route 29, but since ⁓ back in September I would patrol. was on that road for six months. Never knew there was a house back there. Never saw it. And we were looking for a property and just happened to be on that route, hang on a call and saw a light up there and thought, well, I'm done with this call. I'll go up there and see what's up there because there shouldn't be anybody up there. And drove up and found this house with a for sale sign. And everything fell into place. They cut their price almost in half for us. And ⁓ after we moved in, the strange paranormal stuff started happening and there was an old bridge that they put across the ravine in the backyard. And if you walk towards that bridge in the mornings, you could see that bridge. And that was the portal. So soon as the sun would come up, and I know that sounds weird, but as soon as the sun would come up, that blurry image would Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. ⁓ Rich: go away and you could see that bridge. But as soon as the sun would start going down, then it would revert back. And you know, you could see with a shimmer. I ignored it, didn't know what it was, and later found out it was just a wide open portal to hell. It was nasty. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Well. You couldn't see into it though. could just, did it look? guess is what I'm. Rich: I don't know how to describe it. was like looking through a fog but with a mirror behind it. it would, know how they put, I can't remember term, where you put like six or eight mirrors where the mirrors are shining into each other. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Okay. Yeah, like an infinity, infinity well or whatever. Rich: Yeah, yep. what this would look like, but it was foggy, but it would reflect that foggy look back. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: a lot of Native American burial sites also have Bigfoot stuff too. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Yeah. Do you think, haven't talked much. like anybody who listens to my show, I really don't know much about my guests because I'd like for this to happen. But have you personally had Bigfoot sighting? Rich: Yes. ⁓ I didn't see it full-bodied. This happened about five six years ago. We get all kinds of like wood structures, but they're not little huts and stuff you see typically. the neatest thing is ⁓ they break off about a foot, 18 inches, and they'll break them off neat. They're not... like torn and I'll take those sticks and I'll stick them in the ground. They like, I've got a four-wheeler trail that goes down in our bottoms down to the creek and will stick those in the middle of the four-wheeler trail. We've had in our yard. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Saying, you stay out of my area is what they're trying to say. Rich: Yeah, well tough because I go fishing down there. ⁓ We've got some pictures there, some neat ones. use live branches. They'll break off live branches and stick in that trail. ⁓ I wish I could bring up the picture on the phone we've got. I've got pictures of there's three trees and they've taken another tree and wound it through those trees and it's about Myths Monsters And Mullets: Hehehehehe Thank Wow. If you send me that picture I can include it in the recording here right at this point. Rich: ⁓ yeah, I'll send them. There's actually two of them. We've got directly down the house and then one, there's a bike trail next to us and there's one on the bike trail too. They made two of them. So we're, sorry, it's kind of a long thing. ⁓ Dad and I were out. He helping me cut up a tree in our ⁓ front We've got a big front yard and we had stopped for taking a break. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. No, you're fine. Rich: And we're sitting there talking about whatever. And it's springtime, so the leaves aren't real thick yet. And dad says something's moving out through the timber. And you couldn't see anything, but you could see like the limbs. You could see the limbs move on their own. And they get pushed aside. And no wind, no nothing, no storms. And you could follow the progression of where I was moving through the timber like that. And it got about 30 yards away from us. And I decided to tune in to see if it was a ghost or whatever. I was going to get rid of it. And what I saw was, I think it was a juvenile. It was only about five foot tall, five and a half foot tall. And I saw a brown hand. It had a little short brown, reddish kind of fur. And it was getting those leaves and it would pull the branch out of the way as it moved. I think what I think is it saw us because then it stayed there and it would grab a branch and kind of give it a pop like that. And then it grabbed another one and give it a pop and just stayed there kind of messing around like that. Now it went on for about 30 seconds and then I couldn't see his hand no more and about 60 yards. Yeah. Yeah. It lasted quite a while. Myths Monsters And Mullets: of 30 seconds. That is a massively long encounter. Rich: Cause we, yeah, we were sitting, actually dad and I were just sitting there going, this is weird, you know? And I said, well, it's not a ghost because all I can see is his brown furry hand. it was long enough that we had a conversation about it. And about 60 yards away, this little thing kept popping the branches and we heard that loud and this thing stopped, all the branches stopped and we heard two or three footsteps and then it was gone. That was it. Myths Monsters And Mullets: mama was telling it, Hey, you got Saul, get out of there is what it sounds like. Wow. Rich: And it, didn't know they made that sound. I just thought they growled and did stuff like that. I thought it was a person, but it actually went, made that whoop, said whoop or that means. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: Jeff, have you ever heard a whoop? Jeff: Twice. once was real deep and once was about the same. was different inflection, different meanings, I think. But yeah, with the mics, I've got, it was never an answer to a loop or anything. It was just on its own. So I don't, and I haven't had that, I haven't had that happen enough to actually have an opinion. I can only think and tell you with honesty is yes, I've heard it, heard that sound twice. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. So back to Rich. ⁓ Rich: Yeah. Myths Monsters And Mullets: That was your only sighting, said? Rich: That's the only one we've seen. had some weird things like my and I were fishing down there on a creek one day and you get that feeling you're being watched. That started happening and I all right, probably just a silly ghost. So we packed up and moved on down the curricula ways and we must've got close. There's a dense thicket down there that we parked next to. And got not only being that watch feeling, I got that hunted feeling. You know, as part of my job, I hunted people basically. You went into houses and looked for people and that kind of stuff. I've been in some bad calls where I got hunted. And once you feel that feeling, you know what it is. And I got that feeling that we were getting... ⁓ don't, I'm old and bald. And wife's mean. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: I get hunted by women all the time. And wife's hunting me all the time. She's probably hunting me right now. I heard her outside ⁓ door here. That's why I want to mention her name. But anyway, yeah, I, but I do understand that, that, that feeling like, ⁓ know, know, you're being watched, you know, you're being followed, stuff like that. That's what you're, you're describing. Correct. Jeff: it Rich: Yeah, was bad enough. got the pistol off the four wheeler because I thought we were going to get attacked. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: I actually made my wife drive the four-wheeler out and I sat in the back of the bed and watched. It was that intense. She even felt it and she's not gifted at all. She said, that scared the hell out of me. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Have you ever had an entity when you're doing these cleansing of these houses or stuff become violent with you? Rich: Yeah. ⁓ yeah. usually, well, Jeff's laughing because he knows what's coming. ⁓ usually pisses me off instantly. Gosh, it was well. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Do you want to tell it or do you want Jeff to tell it? Rich: Well, I think it was one that we were on. Something growled and it was loud enough everybody heard it. And go from, I'll figure out what this is to I went on the offensive. It was, I think it hurt anybody at that time. You remember what I'm talking about? Jeff: a, that was like a four hour ordeal with multiple, multiple things in this one place. But the only pain for that one for me was I to use the word Scooby-Doo because when you're with Rich, he's, he's looking at the clues and, and we're, you see stuff and feel stuff and, and once start figuring out, wait a minute, this isn't some big bad This is just some sob that's trying to like scooby-doo. So I call it oops. I Call it scooby-dooing because once you figured out And rich I think I'm saying this right like once you trying to get to the bottom of it Well, this is just some pervert guy that was doing this stuff or whatever then they kind of lose their power but right as that happened I got speared in the back and Like I think I That was one of the times I probably screamed like a little girl. ⁓ okay. So yeah, now everything from being made sick to having everything in my body that has been hurt, like my bicep got tore off and my herniated disc and my knees, they'll go for that. And Rich will say, ⁓ need to leave that place. I'm like, I got to finish my job. He goes, you just get out there as fast as you can. And I feel like it can't hurt me. ⁓ Rich: Hehehehehe Jeff: Yeah, it'll put you down. But one of the funniest times was when I very first went with Rich and I didn't understand about me because he let me figure out me kinda. And I was getting the crap kicked out of me. I was first I was like, Rich is the nicest guy that you could ever imagine. And I was in pain. It was a. It was, do you have five minutes? I'll tell you the little bit of that story. you remember ⁓ was the piano teacher one, rich. And I'm in a praise her and there's these two glass interior glass doors that have the slats running through them. And they got just a little pull down latch at the top and you open the doors and he didn't tell me nothing. And I going to go in this room and open this door and I opened the latch and I'm like, Myths Monsters And Mullets: We got all the time in the world, man. Rich: you Jeff: I can't get the doors open. goes, oh, we'll do it later. And I'm like, no, I, this is what I do for a living. Why can't I get these doors open? He's like, we'll do some stuff. We'll come back later. Okay, whatever. So we did some pretty major stuff at the house, but then we came back to this one and he had said there was a nasty lady there that happened to be a piano teacher way back when it was ironic because there was a piano in that room still to this day. So. He's he it's real quick, but he's he's saying whatever he needs to say and she was making him a little bit That they don't want to go if they're not going to go where it's good and it's bad then they tend to not so they lash out well the first thing I felt was Myths Monsters And Mullets: Exactly how I feel when I go to work every day. Jeff: Yes. So the first thing I felt that I didn't know about was a, had a here under my jawbone. It felt like somebody run a stake up there and I was, I kind of leaned over and like, Rich, I said, I don't feel good. I'm going to, I'm going to go outside. And he goes, no, this, we're about done. Stay here. And Rich would never say that. He said, he's the nicest guy ever. He's like, stay there. didn't, I'm like, okay. ⁓ was like, wow. So Rich: you you Jeff: About you know seconds more went and then there was a push right here I think it put me down on my knees didn't it rich and and I was like and I looked up and I said It is that her and smiled he goes I wondered if you were gonna catch on or something like that and it was funny so then I at that point because I was just before I knew what to say I would say a prayer for the intent of what you were praying for and Rich: Yeah, they knocked you down. Ha ha ha ha. Jeff: Just normal, our father, Hail Mary, know, and then it dawned on me how to direct, you know, I don't know that it made a difference in that instance, but I figured out, hey, I need to specifically mean it, you know? And with the whole, this whole thing was 45 seconds and you argued with her and said you could go and she told you what to do. And so you said, okay. And so she was and And you go, okay, she's gone. so we were gonna leave and I said, I'm gonna go open that door. And he goes, go ahead. And so I reached over there and when I touched the door handle, it just opened. And I'm like, ⁓ my gosh, she was holding that door shut. ⁓ instance that I'm with him is like I said, like a movie, it's wonderful. But then I still felt, I'm like, man, I'm hurting here. And then going out under the trees and finding one ray of sunlight coming through. I mean, it sounds kind of cliche, but. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Jeff: wow, it will perk you back up. There's different ways. I think you've told me to come out of it. Sometimes you said that one time it was just like some fresh apple juice or something, something pure, you know, get back in your system. That's when I got, I went home I got attacked real bad and I had some pictures of a black thing a barn and Rich had said that thing's not just in the barn, it's outside around you. You need to leave. There were several things that happened to me on that one. But that's when I got home and I was hurting so bad. My wife happened to be home early and she says, are you getting the flu? What's going on? I said, no, I'm just tired. I got to go lay down. I couldn't tell her. She knows now, but I couldn't say, no, I just got this. I just got the crap kicked out of me by dark and juice. laid down for a minute and I drank some apple juice and it just... You know, and that might sound kind of crazy to some people. Like I said, and there's, there'll be arguments. People, I used to be like, I hear people talk and everybody's an expert and everybody tell you exactly how it is. ⁓ I went from being all those people are wrong to this is how it is to there are ⁓ of things happening, just like the Bigfoot thing. I feel like there are versions of that. This might be spiritual. might be. ⁓ Version that is more physical this one is both you know there are so many things happening to so many people and it may not be a bigfoot some of them are demonic and You you the only way your head can wrap around it is that's a bigfoot You know I've seen that play out with you rich a couple times and so now I don't argue. It's like whatever you have until I know different Rich: Yeah. Jeff: That happened, you know, until I could, because the only thing I can tell you specific is if we've done something 10 times in the woods and got the exact same response in the exact same area, I can have an opinion. I think this because this always happens. And that's kind of what I talk about. Otherwise, you don't know what's going on with people. You know, you don't know who is born with gifts. You don't know who's asking for them. And that's a whole other conversation. ⁓ I've totally forgot to point to what we were talking about. Myths Monsters And Mullets: No, but to piggyback off of what you were saying and I've and people that have listened to the show will have heard me say this before. I use, I use the dog reference. I have a dog and it's the sweetest dog. You know, I come, I come home from work and it jumps up on my lap and it licks my face and you know, it's the sweetest dog ever. Well, one day I'm at work. Jeff: You Myths Monsters And Mullets: And this isn't a true story. This is just my analogy. One day I go to work and the neighbor comes over for whatever reason that dog is protecting its house or whatever, it bites the neighbor. The neighbor thinks that's the most vicious dog in the world. Whereas my experience with the dog is that's the sweetest dog in the world. So everybody's when it comes to their opinion on this stuff. Because that is all it is. It's an opinion. Nobody is an expert in any of this stuff. I don't care what they tell you. You know, if they come up and say, I'm an expert in, you know, Bigfoot, that right there tells me you're not. And two, if you were an expert, I'd already know who you are. Jeff: Yeah, because you'd be the first one. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right. Right. Everybody would know who you are. I wouldn't have to look you up because if interested in Bigfoot or if I'm interested in any of this stuff, I'm to know who the experts are. They're going to get talked about. There's no I don't care. ⁓ I may some people off. If you call yourself an expert, you're full of yourself. Rich: Yep. I learn something new every day. How can you be an expert if you're not willing to open your ears and eyes and learn? You're just an arrogant whatever. Jeff: Well... Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah, I mean you can have a lot of experiences but that doesn't make you an expert because your experiences are based on what you experienced at that time. Rich: Yep. And there's always something new, no matter what house or whatever, there's always something new. Jeff: Yeah. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Yeah. The question we got way off topic there was, you know, about being attacked on, on these, uh, on these investigations and stuff like that. Um, now, now that you're retired, this is for Rich. Um, do, do you do like ghost hunts and stuff like that or? Jeff: Bye. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Do you go out and research this stuff or is it just as needed? You'll help people. Rich: It's all about helping people. I see Ghost every day, all day long. I don't... It's boring. Now boring's not the right word, but I kind know where I'm going. And it's about doing... I've got job to do. It's his work. I go out and help people. And if that's... Somebody that's got something nasty in house and I can get rid of that, that's wonderful. If I can cross stuck souls and get them to cross over and go back to God, that's the other half of it. So I don't really just go out and seek them. just, I do it to help more than anything. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right. Rich: But here's one for you. We're history buffs, of course, because I died in the Civil War. I think I've died four or five times. Really bad at catching bullets. Big, dumb Irishman, I lead with my head. We did. Myths Monsters And Mullets: You got to move faster. That's what I found. hahahaha Rich: Oh, shoot. The prison, Civil War prison, Andersonville. We were in Georgia, stumbled upon Andersonville. And I went out onto the field and they've got just a little part of the prison kind of standing as a tourist thing. And I thought, well, I'll just tune in and see what's going on. And there was, I don't know, four or five thousand souls stuck there. think it's about 200 acre site. It might be a little bigger, a little smaller. But there was souls stacked in there. And the reason they were stuck is they did horrible things in the war and they did horrible things to each other to try to survive and not starve to death. And I did my thing. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I think I've heard the story of Andersonville. Is it Andersonville? that what it's called? It was a, it was a Confederate prisoner of war camp, right? And most of the, a lot of the, a lot of the POWs to death because it wasn't made to hold as many people as they were holding. And they have enough food. They didn't have shelter. They didn't have nothing. They were just basically behind these walls. And yeah. Sorry. Rich: Yes. Yep. That was it. was basically they just put trees up ⁓ walls and there was no shade. There was nothing. There was no water. One of the little things that people don't know is that prisoners were dying of thirst so bad. They had a prayer vigil to ask for more water and a spring popped up in the middle of this prison. And it was enough that it got those guys from ⁓ all dying thirst. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I had never heard that one before. Wow. Rich: Yeah, I've got a, there's a plaque there. There's a fascinating story. We looked it up and read it and they had prayed for like two days because there was a little ditch that went through there about a foot or foot and a half wide. And that's what supplied the water and the latrines for 10,000 people or 50,000 workers in that encampment. And of course they're dying of dysentery and all that. And they held that prayer vigil and a spring popped up on the side of this hill and Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy. Rich: supplied enough water that they could all drink and not have to drink the trick water. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: So anyway, all these guys were stuck there so I did my thing ⁓ got three or four thousand of them cross over. are some that refused to go and they're gonna pay for that. But most of them So not too far from there is the Edgar Casey Center. I don't know if you ever heard of Edgar Casey. And then we decided to go there because I'd read most of his books and fascinated by the guy. And sat in on a lecture. My wife wanted to see a lecture. And it was about angels and how they interact with us. And they do guardian work and kind of give us little nudges when we need a nudge in the right direction. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Mm-hmm. Rich: And this lady put on her presentation, it was about 45 minutes long, and thought, well, that's pretty good. And we're getting up, everybody's getting up to walk out, and she goes, ⁓ by the way, and she picks up a cue card, and she says, I wasn't going do this in my presentation, but somebody here needs to hear this. Whoever's been crossing over the souls from the wars has done what God intends them to do. And she put that card down, and everybody walked out. Huh, we just cleared off 4,000 of them yesterday. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Holy cow. Rich: My main mission is to get people back, whether it's lost souls or if it's creepy crawly stuff that's bothering people, get rid of them so they can live their lives again. ⁓ kind of long, but no, don't do ghost hunts just to do ghost hunts. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right. Right, right. Have you ever went out with Jeff on a Bigfoot hunt? Jeff: sat in the timber ⁓ but it instantly turned into something else ghosty. ⁓ around you that tends to happen. ⁓ No, we that is our plan. I got my other buddies from Ohio. They know Rich and you know they're anxious to spend some time with him. So probably this summer that's going to happen in some of those special areas. ⁓ Rich: Yeah, it always turns paranormal out there. you Jeff: I'm excited, nervous about it. I know enough people that have gifts to get together and maybe it gets exciting. I don't know. ⁓ I know that all the people, including Rich, that we will be with will have a really good heart. And my experience, we don't go out to get video and get famous and shoot something or anything like that. If you just go out just to spend time in nature and really enjoy the wonder of what's out there. I think ⁓ sensible. ⁓ what's out there can sense it. And ⁓ some the most incredible things that has happened to me and the group ⁓ is that manner where you're just there to enjoy it. I hope Rich gets out there and it accentuates this positive, loving type of feeling and whatever's curious will come play with us for a while, like it does sometimes. Rich: the Jeff: ⁓ hey, Rich, I, Was that the time that Jill touched the tree? Because she had been wanting to see when you were out there and doing that to Vore. Was that that time? Rich: was that trip, but that was the Fredericksburg, the colonial Civil War, or the colonial Civil War, the colonial war. Jeff: only reason I mention it is because I think that leads to some of your abilities because I know there's a lot of firsts when I'm around you and that story of Jill wished a certain thing and what happened, if you wanted to tell him that, I think it's cool, you don't have to. And in it may not fit, maybe from out of left chord in the conversation. ⁓ Myths Monsters And Mullets: I don't care. All that stuff interests me. So wherever this goes is where it goes. There's no path here. Rich: Okay. Okay, I'm trying to think of the name of the site. It's next to Colonial Williamsburg. There was a battle there. We arrived late in the day. And the fascinating thing was, you think of these battle sites, they're huge. And this one was about 2,000 men. And the whole battlefield was maybe 300 yards wide. And the ramparts, there's some ramparts are still there. Of course, they had some cannons on it and that kind of stuff. But they're basically putting the cannons shooting at each other at point blank range. I thought that was fascinating. So I tune in and of course, there's some ghosts there because men do horrible things in war. And they're still shooting at each other. And as they're shooting, if you ever shot black powder. all the black powder doesn't burn at once. It'll come out the end of the rifle and you'll get little sparks and burning embers and that kind of stuff. And that's what I was seeing. So my wife's kind of curious about this stuff. I tell her what I see and stuff and she's had a few minor experiences, but she's never really saw things like I do. So we wrap up our little tour and we're walking out and there's a giant cedar tree. are you familiar with the term witness trees? A witness tree is a tree that's old enough. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I don't know that I've ever heard that term exactly. Rich: A witness tree is a tree that's old enough that it's seen, say it's 300 years old, so it's seen all those battles and all that life passed by it. And they collect a ton of energy. So we're walking out, we see this big witness tree. we get past it, and for whatever reason, I get told to go back and put my hand on this witness tree. So I go back and stick my hand on there, and that whole battle played out in front of me. So I'm telling my wife this and she says, so that would be really neat to see. And I said, well, come here. So I said, put your hand on the tree and she did. And I put my hand on hers and I covered her hand and I put enough energy into that connection that she went, ⁓ my God, I can see this now. And she got to see the people shooting at each other. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: So we get done with that and she's kind of shook a little bit and she's catching her breath. I still see the soldiers over there. So I said, all right, let's see if we can cross these guys over. I my thing and got most of them to go. And we're standing under this tree and it starts raining. Except the problem is there's not a cloud in the sky. It's 95 degrees and beautiful July day. And we look up and it's all the water is coming out of the leaves of this evergreen tree. It's dripping on us. So I asked, I said, what is this? And what I heard was tears of gratitude from the soldiers that you crossed over. That was their show of appreciation in getting these guys to cross over. So that was actually a really cool day. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. So the raindrops that you were seeing, not raindrops, the water you were seeing, were the tears of the ⁓ soldiers? Is that what you're saying? Rich: That's what I heard. It was their gratitude. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Awesome. Rich: It was really neat. This is first time I ever saw that happen. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Holy cow. Now, if, like Jeff was saying earlier, When you get around a bunch of people that have these gifts, is it like a cumulative effect where everybody feeds off each other and you can see more or how does that affect you? Rich: more. More tends to happen because sees things differently. Say we're on some battlefield, maybe I see all the soldiers fighting because I fought as a soldier. And somebody else might see, well, here comes the medic corps to come in and get all the wounded off the field. But you can put whole picture together almost instantly. versus say I go into a place and I have to go step by step and get each individual clue to figure out what went on. So it's not necessarily that you create some more energy, it's just different viewpoints. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right, it's like having different cameras. Different cameras are on an investigation. You know, you're going to catch from different angles, you're going to catch different things happening. Awesome. Wow. Rich: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, same thing. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Well we've talked about cryptids, we've talked about spirits or ghosts. Have you ever had a UFO encounter? Rich: Yes, a really cool one. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Let's hear it. Rich: About 2002, I had a Chevy Caprice and it was one of the first models that had the experimental engine with the LS engine, the Corvette engine. And that car would scream. It would run, even with all the gear we carried, it would run about 100 to 60. Neat car. And that'll make sense here in a second. End of my shift, I'm heading home. and the radio calls and says, hey, we got a plane coming going down. You're the closest car. You need to track it so we can coordinate EMS, kind of stuff. So, OK, I get on. I'm not going to say the name of the blacktop. It's an east west county highway, runs about 40 miles and it's pretty much straight, pretty flat. I park and I wait. plane is going down is going to cross my path in a few minutes. And I see a white light. It's not shining down like a spotlight. It's just a bright white light in the sky. And as it approaches, calls up says, hey, it's coming to you. It should be there in about 10 seconds. No lights, no tail no wing lights, no identification. All I can see is this white light. and it's about 60 foot off above the trees. And as it approaches me, it turns and then heads down like towards the blacktop. So I'm thinking, the pilot's seen the road, he's going to try to land on the road and avoid crash. I take off, get behind him, and we're going about three or four miles, and he's not ⁓ elevation. And I'm not sure what's what he's doing or where he's wanting to put it, put the plane down. for whatever reason, I looked down at my speedometer and we're running about 40 mile an hour, 45 miles an hour. And it finally dawns on me that stall speed in an airplane is a lot faster than that. This thing should have fell like a rock. And went four or five miles at 40 mile an hour. Myths Monsters And Mullets: right? Holy cow. Rich: So I follow him for about another mile or so, and then it takes off. It's not like 700 mile an hour or whatever, but it accelerates hard. My crank got squad corrupt about 145 and I'm not catching it. And it's still pulling away from me and it's not getting real far ahead, but I can follow it. And we go about eight or nine miles and We finally get to, there's a creek bottom and there's a small bluff that falls this creek bottom about 30 foot deep. And I see this thing take a nose dive, just from flat level to almost straight down. And then there's a giant orange fireball. So I get a little excited. I get on the radio and I holler and I said, Hey, this thing has went down. need EMS and this and this and this and this. And they called back and they said, per our captain you need a 10-22 and 10-22 is disregard terminate to call and I said wait a minute this thing is exploded in front of me and they said terminate now go home into your ship I waited about 30 seconds and I said, I'm just going to drive over there and I drive up and there is nothing there. No fireball, no plane, no object, no burn marks, nothing. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: So the interesting part, the next day I go into radio, which is our office, and I said, can you give me the call logs for that incident? And they said, nope. Everything was scrubbed. I guess the FAA came in and called and said, we want all the records off. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Wow. So happened to the plane? The actual plane? Rich: No idea. What they were tracking they thought was a plane was whatever this object was. And when it went... Myths Monsters And Mullets: ⁓ so it was the same thing. misunderstood. Like they saw they had no contact with this plane. They thought it was ⁓ a distress plane. It was really this UFO. Holy cow. Rich: Right, right. thought I was playing going down. They didn't realize it was something different until the FAA had contacted them, was about the time it went down and went to a fireball. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: It was, like I said, there was nothing there. I don't know where it went. It's all fields around where that fireball was and I could have saw if it took off, know, if parts went flying, whatever. Because I had the car lit up, spotlights and everything so I could, you know, get everybody coordinated in there because I knew there's, you know, people hurt had to be. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Right. Right. Rich: and not a burnt blade of grass. There we go. Okay. Technical difficulties. are those red in here? We got sunburn yesterday. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Okay. we had some technical difficulties there. We lost Jeff's feed, so he came over and he drove across town and up to make sure he got the end of this. Yeah, yeah. So first off, I'd like to say Jeff, thank you for introducing me to Rich. And ⁓ you and have a ⁓ Rich: Like, me. one of the pleasures of my life. Myths Monsters And Mullets: You and I have a one-on-one coming up here in a few weeks, but Rich, it's been a pleasure having you on the show. I like we could still talk for some, I feel like you have a lot more to tell. Rich: ⁓ boy, we can go for hours. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Well, you know, don't we schedule something else in the future and you can come back and tell more of your adventures. Rich: I would love to. is going sound a little bit weird. ⁓ I read for people or buildings and stuff, I don't remember 90 % of what goes on. So my memory is here sitting with me. ⁓ hopefully we can come back together because he fills in a lot of the blanks that I don't remember. I know that sounds ⁓ but... Myths Monsters And Mullets: hahahaha Yeah. Rich: This is the way it is. Myths Monsters And Mullets: No, that's fine. That's totally fine. Yeah, we'll schedule something here and you know, maybe in May or something. we'll ⁓ you both back on. That's fine with me. Rich: Yeah, we'll put our heads together and. remember some of the stuff that went on because there's tons of that. Yeah, there's yeah and every story is like two hours. I mean there's a lot of we've been saying if we don't write some of this down. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Rich: Because you tend to go on to the next thing when it's, you know, times a week. But yeah, there's some and maybe those some of that stuff will help some people that hear it because they have very similar stuff happen. They don't they don't realize. Wait, I did just go to the antique store and buy that genie vase. know, that's they're like, yeah, yeah. Well, that's that would explain the genie. Yes. ⁓ of something, somebody needs to hear. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Right. Right. Right, right, wow. Rich: We've got about five minutes. Myths Monsters And Mullets: We got as much time as you need, Rich: your friend from here in town. We did his house there at the popcorn festival. yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. ⁓ You tell him the story about finding out what was wrong with him. we had a house that had some serious stuff and took care of it. Well, at the time, Rich was by my buddy, he's Air Force, retired Air Force. And you told him to be careful of something to do with his heart. Yeah, he had one of the things I can do if it's for the person, is can read their body and find medical issues with them. And he having He wasn't showing physical symptoms, but he was having trouble breathing. And I could see that his lungs were partially obstructed. think of the word. And I said, are you a heavy smoker? And he said, no. And I said, well, you've been around a lot of smoke because it's damaged your lungs. And then that's when he said, well, I was in the Air Force and stationed in one of the Middle Eastern countries when they were burning oil wells. And he was breathing smoke all day from those oil wells. And he said, is there anything else that you can see wrong with me? And I said, a big concern right at the moment, but you've got a heart issue. And he had, ⁓ think he had a family history of heart issues. ⁓ yeah, one of his parents, yeah, yes. And I said, it's not critical right now, but you want to talk to your doctor and pay attention to it. And said, what else? Because this was, he was. ⁓ Fascinated by it. And I said, well, I need to put my hand on you. it helps me connect with people sometimes. And I put my hand on his back and he'd been having back issues. said, well, you've got something about halfway down your spine that's stuck there. me see if I can get rid of it. And within two or three minutes his back popped and he said, ⁓ it quit hurting. But had been hurting for decades. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Wow. Rich: ⁓ I didn't know that ever since like when he was younger. It something that happened. He was younger, right? it's I that's how I remember. Because he was like, wow, because it was felt better. So the guy calls me a couple of weeks ago. And he is excited and almost tearful. And he goes, Jeff, I decided to go and check out. He goes, they diagnosed me with asthma. And they caught, was it 98 percent? It was 98 percent. Your main major thing was 98 percent blocked. And the doctor was like, down, we're going to take you to somewhere right now. I mean, he caught it like that. And he would not have went in there and checked if Rich hadn't told him that. So he was just beside himself. It's like, Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. Rich: Please him thank you. mean, saved his life, ⁓ very cool. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Holy cow. I might just start coming to Rich for, instead of going to the doctor, how much do you charge? Rich: Not sure why that. I wouldn't say that. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I'm gonna. ⁓ Rich: There's always a reason. Yeah, somebody needed to hear that. I don't know why but somebody needed to hear that. Maybe part of a problem. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I'm not going to have a cat scan. I want to have a rich scan. That's what it is. Rich: And by the way, you're going to see your owl before too long. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Shut up. Rich: Probably. Third week of April. And it's not going to be, there was an owl fly by. It's going to be very obvious. It's going to land. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I'm writing this down. Rich: Don't take this personally, you were very close-minded up until you had your first encounter. Did you guys talk? Have you talked? Myths Monsters And Mullets: I've, know, I don't, I don't ever, I don't enter, I don't pre-interview. Rich: We texted them. And it was just basically a set my interview up. Okay, ⁓ shoot, I lost it. I'm sorry. ⁓ no, he'll come back. It's his first encounter. He's more open. ⁓ okay. I'm not that absent minded. You, your worldview was literally minors. was, you know, go to work, make some cash, know, pay bills, that kind of stuff, normal people kind of stuff. And you had your first encounter which opened your eyes to there's other possibilities, but not only other possibilities that, um, and for a lot of people, um, yeah, there's God, yeah, there's the devil. Yeah, there's this stuff. But that was your confirmation that this is true, and it puts you on a different path of just blindly walking in the fall. I hope that makes sense. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Yeah. Rich: You're now looking at more spiritual stuff of earthly stuff. So owls symbolism or wisdom and be able to see in the dark. That's how they hunt. So before with your blinders on, you weren't seeing anything. When you that owl, things are going to start opening up exponentially. So just be aware that you may have more lack of better term paranormal stuff happen. I know that sounds a little weird, but... Myths Monsters And Mullets: Hopefully it isn't me seeing what I saw before. Let's put it that way. Rich: That was as a warning. This thing mimicked. ⁓ somebody that was close to you in this past. Very, very dark. Very, very nasty. It made you doubt reality. One of the encounters I had, ⁓ and this happened to you, probably want to bring it up. It changed my memories. Things that I knew for a fact happened were no longer. The thing you saw was dark. Very, very dark. It's, the reason I said it as the mimic thing is because they can manipulate time, they can manipulate memory, they can manipulate what we actually physically see like sitting here. I've had rooms that have disappeared and it'd be like sitting watching this phone in the middle of cornfield. Please be very careful if that should happen again. Myths Monsters And Mullets: I hope it never does. I'm not looking for this thing. I can tell you that. Rich: It's it was a higher ⁓ Angels and then there's archangels and there's a chain of command this thing was I don't know what the demon equivalent of it was it was An art demon night. I don't know the term but it was very very high up there Myths Monsters And Mullets: Would you like to know what I saw? Rich: Yeah, because I'm curious. Myths Monsters And Mullets: Hang on. I'm gonna pause. I've done this interview a lot of times. Let's finish up then ⁓ stop and then I'll tell you what I saw. Well, Rich and Jeff, I really do appreciate you coming back on Miss Monsters and Mullets. That was more for Jeff. But Rich, thanks for coming on Miss Monsters and Mullets. Sorry, we had some technical difficulties with Jeff's connection. And I'd to you both back on, which Jeff has already scheduled. So Rich, ⁓ if you ever inclined, I would love to have you come back on the show. Rich: Thank you. love to you. Myths Monsters And Mullets: And if you've had a paranormal encounter you'd like to share, can email me at mithsonmullitz.gmail.com. And until next time, I'll talk to you later. Gotta go. Rich: Thanks. Thank you.
