Being born, having children, getting married, none of that matters more than the fact that our John Stewart, played by Aaron Pierre, is going from Lanterns, the TV series, to the next Superman, but it's not a Superman movie, Man of Tomorrow. Yes, is correct. You heard me 100 % correctly. The greatest actor of our time reprising the role of John Stewart is going from the small screen to the big screen. Yes, more Green Lanterns ⁓ movies. Fans are already referring to this ⁓ the Green Lantern 2027 movie featuring Superman Lex Luthor. What are the details? Well, there's not many. This comes via the Hollywood Reporter. Boris Kitt is breaking the news here. And as you can see, the headline reads, Aaron Pierre joins DC Studios Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow. The actor is already in the DC fold thanks to his upcoming HBO show, Lantern. And as we scroll, that is the face of a leading man who will probably lead almost every movie DC puts out from here on out. In brightest day, in blackest night, Aaron Pierre will face the man of steel's might. It's also shared here that Gunn wrote the script and is directing Man of Tomorrow, which is due to begin production this summer in Atlanta. And guess what DC, your boy happens to be just a few hours drive away from Atlanta. Just saying, if you want to make Aaron Pierre happy, you should probably invite me to set so I can hang out with the man and make sure morale is always good. Obviously David Corrin Sweat will be back as Superman and Nicholas Holt will return as Lex Luthor Phenomenal they are gonna face the alien threat known as Brainiac and it makes me wonder with all the comments from the folks at the DCU that the Lanterns story ends up becoming part of the bigger plot for the wider DCU if something in Lanterns has to deal with Brainiac Who else will be back in the movie? have Lois Lane played by Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Giassondo played by Jimmy Olsen, Sarah Sampao, Eve Tessmacher, among them. Heroes return include Hawkgirl played by Isabella Merced and the engineer played by Maria Gabriella de Faria. It says production is scheduled to begin April, which is right when I come back from my wedding, so I will be ready as soon as you guys are ready to have me on set. Pierre as Stewart is part of Gunn's vision of having DC's screen universe, both DC movies with the DC television shows, integrate seamlessly as one story universe. As a Green Lantern, one of the space cops patrolling Earth and its sector as part of the Green Lantern Corps. And his appearance make total sense as both Superman and Brainiac are spacefaring characters with alien origins. Pierre is making his debut as the character in Lanterns, DC Studios first live action series outing that will be debuting in August. I keep bringing his credits up all the time, but it says Pierre caught Hollywood's attention with the commanding turn in Rebel Ridge, which won a bunch of awards. Netflix's 2024 thriller directed by whoever last year, he did a stint on Apple TV's The Morning Show, one of their more popular shows, and did voice work in Mufasa, The Lion King, as well as last month's GOAT So Rebel Ridge wins awards. The Morning Show is one of Apple's biggest shows. Mufasa, great success at the box office. Goat, great success at the box office. Basically everything that you put Aaron Pierre in is going to turn into money or have critical claim or it's going to have critical acclaim and make the money.
