D.C. Gomez- Author: And the sad or funny part about this book is when I started writing it, it was supposed to be like a love story. Like I don't tend to write romance. This was supposed to be my romance. And everybody goes like, I think you missed the mark. I was like, there's lots of self love. It's like, that's not what a romance is. Like, DC, that's not it. I was like. Okay, so years later I just have to laugh. was like, this is definitely not a romance. And they're like, it's not a romance at all. So we just kind of like, readers just kind of laugh because I think it's hysterical. Like my crazy attempt at a romance was like, that did not go well for anybody. I was like, thanks, thanks. So now the joke is like, if my people are ever going to have a happy ending, I'm like, they do. They're like, do they? I'm like, kind of, sort of. I feel like I need to come with disclaimers. I'm like, they do.
