Rebecca: Welcome to Travel More Adventurously, a podcast for parents who want to make the most of traveling with their children and to be more intentional about the experiences they create along the way. I'm Rebecca Ryle, a mum of three, a family doctor, and someone who's been traveling with my children since they were babies, right through to the teenage years. On this podcast, I'll bring you conversations, reflections, And practical ideas about family travel to feed your wonderlust, help you think more deeply about how and why you travel, and make those adventures feel more possible in real life. I'm especially interested in the why behind travel, not just the where. Why do we choose to step outside the familiar with our children? What are we hoping those experiences might give us as a family? And how can we travel in a way that feels more intentional? While still being realistic about the things that can make family travel difficult. I think a lot of those chance tangents often are are just more interesting than the goal that you thought you were going to achieve by that particular trip. That's exactly the kind of thing I want to explore. The unexpected moments, the conversations, the people we meet, and the experiences that stay with us long after the trip itself. I think that time together. is the best the best thing about those holidays and shared experiences and building memories and it teaches them to be in different environments, talking with different people, finding out more about places. I'll also be talking to parents, travelers and experts with very different experiences and perspectives. And I don't want to romanticize family travel either. Sometimes it's hard. I remember it being really hard. I mean you're basically working as a his pancreas, so you're constantly making adjustments and there's so many decisions to make. So we'll have honest conversations about the realities too. Health, safety, money, uncertainty, and the things that can make travelling with children feel complicated. And we'll explore how to make travel safer, more affordable, more intentional and more achievable. I don't think there's one right way to travel as a family. But I do think there's enormous value in making space for meaningful experiences together. Travel More Adventurously launches on the 7th of September with a new episode every Monday. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube. Come along and let's see where the journey takes us.
