Yeah. Okay. And now we're in the same hotel, but do we know why we're in this hotel? speaker-1: No. ⁓ so ⁓ we're we're basically here with X Paint and ⁓ we was had some time yesterday to film a static ⁓ car. So basically y when you see those studio shoots, you don't get to drive the car, you just get to have like a first look. And very late the night before we got a spec sheet for the car. We turned up at the event, we had a briefing for which we missed the first half of because someone left us, ⁓ outside a a lock. door for about 15 minutes ⁓ on a different floor of the building and luckily someone texted us to say that they were in a briefing. And we went in and all the stats were completely different to the ones on well not all of them only 80% of them. And then we went to film and they said ⁓ you know we've got half an hour. Could could you make that like to 15 minutes instead? And I said, no. speaker-0: Sounds made up, doesn't speaker-1: And it was like twenty minutes. I was like, all right, twenty minutes, I'll do it in twenty minutes. ⁓ the lighting was atrocious. The car was reasonably well lit, the rest wasn't. I was in so much of a rush I left the polarising filter on my camera, so the video looks awful. And then we came to the interactive workshops this afternoon, which are actually presentations. So I can't really make a video on those. speaker-2: Sounds like a bit of a tragedy that I missed out there. speaker-1: But we it's been good company and everything. ⁓ it's just like three days to do this is tough when you're self employed. I've left my phone on schoolboy era. ⁓ it it is a bit tough when you're self employed and it's your sole source of income. Mm. Mm. So I've had the updated one. ⁓ and I after seeing the P seven ⁓ Munich show last year, I thought the P seven looked amazing. And I've seen the G nine out here and that looks great. And X Peng is so like tech heavy and sort of kind of pushing everything. And I thought the G six is like ⁓ it was just a bit of a pound land Tesla. speaker-2: bit like that but well that's what they're aiming for isn't it the Tesla Model Y. speaker-1: Yeah, but like the the Tesla Model Y is many things, but a good looking car it's not. Yeah. And you've got the chance to make a better looking sort of inspired by and instead they've sort of made a worse looking inspired by, I thought. speaker-2: know what you mean and I'm slightly behind both of you in the fact that I've not actually seen the L03 yet, you know. speaker-1: Yeah, but you will tomorrow, I guess. Maybe so, but we'll all case to be fair. So is it Yeah, it is, yeah. ⁓ speaker-2: Is it, I mean, is it nice? speaker-0: So it's d it's basically the same size as the G six. It's ever so slightly ⁓ the same size. Like it's all it's yeah, pretty much the same size. It's weird. But it's it's a s it's a slightly cheaper car, apparently. But I thought it felt nicer. speaker-1: I thought it was smaller. Yeah, so did I. I felt thought it felt a lot nicer inside. speaker-0: It looks nicer. It the the interior's a lot better quality. But I just yeah, yeah, it's nice. speaker-1: Mm-hmm. There you go. So that's the car reviewer Alex Slose, yes. speaker-2: can visualize it. Have they told you the range yet? speaker-1: Yeah, they've told us about seven different figures for the range. speaker-0: It's about three hundred and twenty miles. speaker-1: Up to depending on which of the three batteries. ⁓ speaker-2: That's not a lot different to the G6. speaker-1: Is it? ⁓ I think the get the the G six is more, is it not? So speaker-0: The main difference between these two cars is the the G six is eight hundred volt, which is usually more expensive. And this is four hundred volt. Yeah. So that that brings the price down. speaker-1: They've got slow charging, but still it's not it's not slow, is it? speaker-0: Up to two hundred and thirty something. speaker-1: Yeah. So again, like take ⁓ every number we're giving you take with a pinch of salt because I I I promise you I'm we've seen how I don't know how many different numbers we've just And the research you did was different to the research I'd done. speaker-0: Yeah. And there's also an extended ranger version with an engine that doesn't drive the wheels, it just charges speaker-1: To be completely fair, I think some of this complexity comes from the fact that they're launching this car in sixty three countries at once. And probably lots of those have got different specs and lots of markets will say, Well, we want a cheaper car, so we'll have this battery or we want the yeah, so ⁓ probably a lot of the confusion's been caused by that, but the the comms around it haven't been wonderful. speaker-2: So is the idea that it's going to be more accessible to people, it's going be cheaper? speaker-0: Yes. speaker-1: Yeah. Yep. Okay. And it's based on a Chinese car that was actually quite a bit cheaper, wasn't it? The Mona? speaker-0: So it's a weird one. So like all no ch most Chinese companies, they all have subsidiaries. So this is from X Peng's subsidiary brand called Mona. And they just rebranded it as the X Peng for this outside of China, which is a more accessible brand. Yeah. But that brand is actually a collab between Alibaba and X Peng. So the software's completely different for various reasons. So speaker-2: Do you like a Mona? speaker-1: I've never met one. ⁓ speaker-2: ⁓ yeah.
