The difference between a day like this at the end of the summer, like even like October, like mid fall, a day like today where it's like a little warmer out and you're like, ooh, hang on to summer versus a day like this in the spring. In the spring, I'm like, what feels different about it? Because the first like warm day in the spring is really nice too, but it doesn't feel the same. Mm-hmm. And there's not really that many leaves on the trees yet. And I think that's a big difference. You mean you mean there's there's not a lot of leaves turning colors? No, I mean like Like, you know, when you go outside in the spring, it's the first warm day and you like sit outside and it's like, ⁓ it feels so good to be outside and sit and it's like feels warm and good. It feels different because it's different like even if it's the same temperature, it still feels different outside. And part of it is the leaves on the trees make a big difference, I think, in the feeling of it. Interesting. Yeah. And like one you're coming out of like a body temperature where you're like trying to get warm and one you're trying to get cool. I feel like that's the obvious, but I was trying to go deeper. I was at the I went to the beach on Friday with a friend for like two hours and we were gonna stay till sunset and then we both were like, We I I cannot. I'm tapping out. I'm tapping out. And I went home and I was I was drinking water at the beach. I'd brought a frozen water bottle and just let it melt and like as an ice pack and then drank it 'cause I'm a pro. And I got home and I was like nauseous and like felt sick. I was like from two hours at the beach at f four or five o'clock. Like I was crazy. I was crazy and I was and I've been hydrating like crazy because of that. So I'm like, no one's safe. And ⁓ Yeah. But we've had some crazy thunder the last couple of days. Just like watching Nina just like scurry around the house trying to hide. Poor Poor thing. It was it sounds sounds like we're being bombed. Like it's it's quite in it's quite possible. Yeah, that's a that's an alarming. It's alarming Is it is it alarming? Do you like jolt out of a bed and be holy fuck, was that a bomb? Or it's not like alarming except when it's like sounds different. Like yesterday it sounded different and I was like Are we good out here? And Connor was like, It's it's just thunder. That's why someone is in such a drought I mean we're all in a drought, but and it doesn't seem like it seems like because of El Nino you guys will get a mild winter, which yay. Alex Cooper has a I don't even know what you would call it, a business She has a media company. A media company, yeah. And she was going to be the her company was going to be the home for Alex Rural's podcast. And I don't know. And seeing that interview or whatever, I don't I feel like I don't know all the details because I didn't listen to that episode. I don't know what was like cut and what wasn't cut. But yeah, I just feel like it seems Pretty like hearing Alex's side of the story, I'm like, ⁓ seems pretty shitty. Yeah, no, it does. And I think when 'cause when it the drama all went down, Alex Cooper made that video just calling her out, which was crazy. ⁓ What video did she make? She made it posted a TikTok that so I think this was maybe like three years ago, Alex Cooper signed Alex Earl to Unwell. They interviewed her on Caller Daddy, announced that she was creating this media company called Unwell and her first signed person was Alex Earl. So it was like all at the same time. Right. She worked a pot Alex Earl worked the podcast for like I don't know, like a year and a half. And then it ended, no rhyme or reason. So people kind of like speculated about it. and then I don't know how much time went by. It had to have been at least like a year, if not over a year. ⁓ and Alex Curl would like Alex Earl would like comments, not like continuously, but there were a few, where she would like comments that criticized Alex Cooper. and then she reposted one video basically calling Alex Cooper an ambulance chaser, saying she only interviews women who are vulnerable and like kinda takes advantage of their story. Which I'm like, that's kinda hard. Could be a reach. Could be a reach. She's like interviewing people and they're choosing to go on the platform. Okay, whatever. I mean, she had Michelle Obama. Exactly. Can't that doesn't fit that narrative. Exactly. So anyway, she reposted that video, which is someone's opinion and it's a harsh one. And then Alex Cooper made a video on like just like a selfie video of herself, obviously. And said, All right, I'm gonna call you out here, Alex Earl. Like, just say it. There's no NDA, like all of this online beef you're trying to create. I don't know why, but like just say the issue and like ended it. And then Alex Earl commented, okay, on it, and then never like said anything. And then we're watching in the show why. She was like scared, didn't know what to say, was like super busy filming and everything, like didn't have time to put her thoughts together and then just time passed. But ⁓ which the reason being she's like you took advantage of me like we drank a ton I was like looking up to you. I trusted you. You're asking me all these like intimate questions, which she doesn't ask all of her. Yeah, that felt more OG call her daddy. And it sounds like honestly, from the episode I saw where Alex was nervous because she was like, Alex Cooper really she told me not to come for her, like Honestly, I don't I don't want to deal with that. While having already warned Alex Earl off makes me think she likes stirring the pot. No, clearly. And then even like on the show, it showed that Alex Cooper had reached out to like some of Alex Earl's friends like DM'd them on Instagram, like trying to get beef or like, you know, tea on her. It just ⁓ my God. There's like yeah does she care? No, exactly. I will say at the premiere of Earl Meets Worlds, ⁓ Alex Earl was asked about it and I forget the exact quote, but she's ⁓ she said like, Yeah, I'm glad like my story is out just to have peace of mind. And in the end, we're at the premiere and her shows are getting cancelled, so it is what it is. And I was like, It's a banger line. That is a banger line. Better hopefully. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Where was your high chair? Like can you picture the room in the It was a kitchen. Okay. ⁓ it was like wooden. Mm hmm. And next to the back door. And then I have a different memory. I w must have been maybe like two. Maybe younger though, 'cause I don't know how old people kids sit in high chairs for But I remember I g it was a birthday or something where I was like opening a gift and it was a clear backpack with Winnie the Pooh on it, but it was clear with blue zippers and had like sand tools in it, like for the beach. Which is funny because we didn't we went to the beach, but like a couple times. It wasn't like a frequent thing. But I know. What about like a memory when you're like five? Do you have that somewhere? I mean like I don't know how old I was in my memories, but I think so. Like a vibe. Like maybe I was five. Like I remember like playing with like my neighborhood friends and we were definitely young. I like remember family events. There was like one thing we got, like our picture, like a portrait taken, and I remember that. It was like a bright red carpet. And it's like also we have a picture of it, so that probably helps. But like I remember the feeling of it. Mm-hmm. And the location. And the location, yeah. So I have been struggling with my memory a lot. And I also have been really interested in learning new things, trying new things, as we know. And It's very frustrating to try and to learn new things when you cannot retain information. So I've been very curious about how to fix that. And so I came upon the memory palace. Have you ever heard of a memory palace? No. Okay. A memory palace is it dates back to ancient Greece, but it is like a common practice many use to improve their memory and also to like just literally retain information, build entire like, ⁓ libraries in their mind based on this concept. And it was originally called, ⁓ well, I have my notes here. Method of Loki or Los Loki L O C I. Okay. Which now we just call ⁓ it's a memory method based on locations. Now we call it the memory palace. So I was asking about all your memories because of the location. Like you we probably have these memory palaces that we walk through. to remember our childhood. Like it's so location specific that we're like able to assign our memories to certain parts of our childhood homes or parts of like our childhood schools, et cetera, et cetera. Like our memories have these locations that we've just like attributed them to. But a memory palace is a mental technique where you visualize a familiar location and associate specific pieces of information with distinct spots within that space. Which is such an interesting like thought process. So like the way I understand it, if I want to learn how to paint and I want to memorize the techniques to paint, I have to like go to my I don't even know. I guess I'll pick my office here and I would like assign different pieces of information to different parts of my office. Like I'm still like confused on it actually and like how to build a memory palace. But I'm intrigued by this idea. I'm processing. That is very intriguing. My aunt has said that she falls asleep by like picturing herself walking through her school as a kid. But that's not similar. Yeah. Like it helps like calm her mind. Just like gives you something to focus on. But yeah, I think it's different with like retaining how to do something. But at the same time, maybe not that different because you can picture like Wherever you are when you learn your office and you're watching the video, you can picture yourself in your like so you're, you know, trying to remember. Picture yourself in your office doing the thing that you had done. So like picture yourself painting and where the paints are. And it's so funny 'cause I feel like I do this when I grocery shop. I like picture the fridge and quit doing I picture the everything. Yeah. Like what I need. It's interesting. I'm I'm reading this, ⁓ I don't know if it's an article or whatever, by Lynn Kelly, who's a science writer and a research associate in some university in Melbourne. And she has books called like Memory Craft and the Knowledge Gene. But she says she has like entire ⁓ she has she she literally ⁓ refers to it in distance. Let me find the paragraph that I was reading. ⁓ I have spent the past decade creating memory palaces to assist my weak memory. I have more than ten kilometers of memory palaces now, including one for every country in the world that I will n detail below. I have a palace for the first 1,000 digits of pie, which is of no use to whatsoever other than to show it off. ⁓ and it's just I'm just so curious as to how one does this. And it and it really does seem to be like super location based to the point to use kilometers. Which I'm just like what? I can't even conceive of that. It's so interesting. And like apparently the the great orators of ancient Greek would like they would s they would memorize all of these their speeches and all of their things they needed to talk about by walking their cities and they would have like they would just like have these things memorized. This makes sense. And attribute them to the location. So as they like would mentally walk through their cities, they were mentally they would like recall each speech in that order and be able to like say it. Which makes so much sense. Right? Huh. What do you I'm like stand-up comedy when you create an hour, so I don't know why I'm branching into stand-up comedy, but that's what it just made me think of. Stand up comedy, you normally start working material in sets of five minutes, ten minutes, and you go up from there until eventually you have what they call an hour. And once you have your hour, ⁓ you know, you normally go and perform that, or you pitch that hour around until you get a show and then you record it and then you pitch that to ⁓ networks and things like that. ⁓ but the way they build that hour is it most jokes lead into the other one and they're pretty much set up like that. Although some are different and some work differently and they have them they can move them around as they please or whatever. But they're normally in like in these little five ten minute segments and things like that. Which I s so you're remembering the five ten minute segment at a time. ⁓ Right. No, which Exactly. Do you Ever listen to an audible book when you walk? Yeah. I used to do this a lot and now like it's funny because I'll be walking, you don't even notice it until you notice it, but I'll like do the same route the next day and with maybe I'm listening to something different or nothing at all and I'm like thinking about the book as I'm walking by the same part that that part played. That happens to me all the time. And like that that's what I remember as I'm walking by that spot. Very that's really cool. That makes a lot the lot goes that supports this theory. But I guess this is not a theory. This is a technique. But it's based on, I guess, the the fact that we naturally do that. I don't know if that's true. I'm just saying it's so it seems that way. Which is fascinating to me. No, that's a I want some memory palaces. That sounds great. Also, it's in ch brains are interesting and understudied. Yeah. hard to study. Like you don't create It's takes y like our bodies regenerate cells so often, but nerve cells, neurons take so long to regenerate. And then if we don't use them, they like it's not like they I don't think they atrophy completely. But like it's harder to use them again if we don't so a way to strengthen your brain and just strengthen your neurons is to learn something new. So like the musical instrument, a language, keep reading, do your crawl like challenging your brain in certain ways. Not completely related, but just an interesting fact. Like learning something that was really good for your brain. No, definitely related. And I totally feel that. I do feel like part of me, ⁓ like One of the main reasons when people ask me if I want to move back to Jersey, one part of me is like, I would have to find a new challenge. You know, like living here, I'm constantly faced with a challenge, even if it's like, all right, practice your Spanish again. Gotta put gotta whip that out. It's a constant challenge, and that it does keep me on my toes. That is a very good point. And it's so comfortable here. Like easy to fall back into like you're with your family, your friends. Like it's just easy. I think that would actually be it would be easy in many ways for sure. But it would definitely be a struggle for those reasons, for the needing to figure out my new normal. ⁓ but yeah, for sure. It is. And like the convenience, God, the first door dash at whatever home I live in will be incredible. That will just that'll hit the spot.

Well now I guess whatever. ⁓ but it was written and directed by Megan Megan Peck. Megan Park. Whoops. Mm-hmm. MP. ⁓ and it was so good, Liz. I watched it 'cause I didn't watch it. I thought it was just gonna be like a drug trip movie, which aren't my favorite, but like whatever. ⁓ and it was not. It was a lot more than that. And it was in Canada on a lake. Like the first scene is like three girls in a boat being exactly like Sterling Point girls, like so chill, already gay, like like loved. It was it was wonderful. And it was like such a chill movie. Like it wasn't even And I love a movie. I love a start and end full story in one in one sitting. I cried at the end. I cried at the end. It was great. Right. That's my homework. I'll watch. Yeah. I'm very into I mean shocking. I just very much want that that cozy, warm feeling from any movie right now. That's why I watch Practical Magic. My Old Ass was perfect. And I I was looking for some kind of like ⁓ just like older, like even like Elizabethan, like Jane Austen story. I don't know. I just want to be in the old right now. I think it's like fall. Not that you have fall really where you are, but like experiencing it to an extent. Mentally, I'm in fall. Mentally I'm giving myself a fall. ⁓ I'm literally separating for Halloween. Cold air is w like pouring out at me right now. I'm sitting right in front of the air conditioner. I'm cold. It's perfect. I'm thinking about leaves. Perfect. Drinking tea. All right.
