speaker-0: D WK. speaker-1: Drop ⁓ out kissing that'll put you away. We would love we would sing that all the time. ⁓ my god. speaker-0: Like it was always driving home from the beach. Like I remember Hello. Welcome back to catching up with Liz and Evie. speaker-1: So I'm absolutely paying attention right now. It's so good to be back in the studio live my cousin. speaker-0: zoned out and then also you got a little blurry. I was like, hmm, I'm just gonna keep rolling. speaker-1: I heard your intro and I was like, ooh, we're live. Look alive. ⁓ hey. speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ I thought you were giving me like trash. Like I was like, ⁓ and you were no I was on my phone and you're like, all right, let's do this. So it's like put the phone down. speaker-1: Look alive, Liz. The whole time I I couldn't see your face. I was like I had slack windows out. Whatever. Whatever, Liz. I don't care. ⁓ hi, how are you doing? speaker-0: No, I It's been a week. We didn't record last week. It's only one day, but it's been a week already. speaker-1: What should we tell our fans who we abandoned last week? I didn't even post on Instagram. speaker-0: Here's here's what's on my brain. I'm looking for a new job that is just remote or maybe like ⁓ in person, but ideally something remote. And I'm like, I actually have to get into the groove of like a schedule and a little bit of discipline with like Rio and myself. Not that he needs discipline, but like a schedule. Because it's a great one week and then it's thrown off and it's great and I'm like if I actually want to do this, which I do, I need to just like get myself back to being locked in. So I feel that I need a good project. So social media, that will be it. speaker-1: Social media. Please I like would love to give it more time. speaker-0: Time, energy, all of the things. speaker-1: All of the things. ⁓ it's just so much. There's social media is a beautiful thing. You can really do whatever you want. And and yet and yet choices have to be made and it takes energy. speaker-0: Somehow somehow it always falls to the back burner. Yeah. Because here's why I think people are like, ⁓ social media, easy job. Relatively yes, but most people start it as like a side hustle or something in the background. Yeah. You have to like be consistent with it and to make it good. You have to put in some effort and it's not like it it comes easily. So just yeah, that yeah. That is the difference. I feel like I had more to say to that, but I lost my chain of thought. speaker-1: I think some people w when you really don't give a fuck and you don't question what you post, I think it is so much easier. and if you're really in it just to put up stuff and you're not in it to like critique yourself or or the sounds bad, but like if your standard of quality mediocre, then you're more likely to be successful sometimes, I think. And like every now and then you put a little bit more effort in, but like I don't know. Just regurgitating what other people have said online to be. speaker-0: Yes. If you're just like blaringly honest and like yourself, which also is hard to do, but speaker-1: Yeah. I mean full transparency. I've let AI edit our our shit sometimes and literally because otherwise there'd be nothing up there. But I really just don't like the AI edits. The only thing I like about the AI machines is that they take my my video I give them and they organize it so that it's stacked in like a vertical manner. I like that. But other than that, I don't like anything else it does. ⁓ and that's why I don't really like I don't know, I was scheduling them out a bit, but like they weren't getting any comments, they weren't like funny because I hadn't put any effort into making them, you know? But I think I do really wanna put the effort in into making like a a best of season one little compilation. speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ that's cute. speaker-1: But that would take a lot of time because I'm then sifting through videos. But that's fine 'cause I have all those videos. I don't know. It's fun. It's fine and fun. speaker-0: Right. We'll we'll figure that out, we'll get into the groove. But yeah, I definitely I need something, so I think that will just be my project. ⁓ yeah. That's great. That's my goal. ⁓ you're coming to New Jersey again soon. know. speaker-1: Yeah. Literally today I went to the gym. There's lately I've I've bitten off more than I can chew lately and it's giving me anxiety. And it's it's all well and good. It's just there's people wrapped up in the things I'm doing and I I whenever I start to feel like I'm taking on too much, I start to think about their feelings and God, that is just the worst thing you can do. So bad. speaker-0: Kitty. speaker-1: I I'm like and I'm trying to shut off my emotions. And that does help. Poor little Elena Gilbert, but ⁓ it's hard. Catch that vampire diaries reference, please. speaker-0: It's a bit longer than it should have, honestly. speaker-1: That I think that's good. I think that's good. speaker-0: Who's her doppelganger, real quick? What was her name? Catherine, thank you. Okay. speaker-1: ⁓ Catherine? You asked me that. I thought that was joke. What was her last name? Katherine Pierce. Yeah. Pierce. But I think like she has her, you know, Bulgarian name. speaker-0: Pearson or Pierce? Just Pierce. Catarina. Trova. I think it might be. speaker-1: Katarina Petrova. Is that what it is? Yeah. I think so. Anywho, what was the question? So anyway, I was at the gym this morning, I was on the treadmill, and like like a knife in my face, I was like, holy shit, I have a flight on Thursday. This Thursday. And I just like it's whatever's wrong with me is that I I just like cannot face the reality until it is glaring down at me. And ⁓ yeah. But very excited to come home. I literally was so homesick this week because I didn't feel good. And I was like very comforted by the fact that I was going home. speaker-0: That's sweet. speaker-1: But it's always it's always a a bittersweet thing. Like I don't like being away from my day to day life that long. However, it's really nice not to be like feeling like I'm leaving as soon as I get there, so speaker-0: Right, you're staying for a good amount of time. Twelve days. Two weddings. speaker-1: Twelve days, baby. Twelve days. Two weddings. Already so many social events line. speaker-0: ⁓ yeah, I know, I bet. This wedding upcoming on Sunday that you're coming h one of the ones you're coming home for, I speaker-1: It's on a Sunday? speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ fuck. I don't think I realized that until speaker-1: It's on Sunday? shit, I gotta go. speaker-0: Yeah. No. I know. I keep and like Andrew works on Sunday. We didn't realize how two weeks ago speaker-1: ⁓ no. There was one on like a Friday, not a Sunday. Okay, okay. But exciting 'cause we're both gonna be at this wedding. speaker-0: Yes. Yeah. Very exciting. Moving on. speaker-1: What you got? speaker-0: I like this segment kind of of what's on our what's trending on our ⁓ feeds or FYP or for you pages. So right now I'm getting a lot of thrift hauls, which is always fun. My thoughts on that are people get so many sweaters, which are so nice, but I'm like, Do you actually wear all of these sweaters? Or are you like selling them? Like what are you doing with all of the sweaters you're buying? They're speaker-1: Yeah. FYP speaker-0: Cool. They're really nice and like good quality and with like great finds. But what do you do with all of them? Yeah. How do you have the closet space? I don't know. speaker-1: I do remember every new season going sweater shopping and being like, But I have so many sweaters. speaker-0: Yeah, exactly. From last season and then you don't need like a ton of sweaters. I speaker-1: Yeah. And they're all kind of like you need like five at most. speaker-0: At most. 'Cause then you're like wearing them with like you need more maybe jeans. But even then, not really. Like a sweater and jeans is the I don't know. speaker-1: Not really. Sweater and jeans. What's i am I gonna get to come home and wear sweater and jeans? speaker-0: Yeah, I think so. It also random, but we're supposed to get a nor'easter this weekend in the Northeast. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: It's like there might be a blizzard, what do we know? Might go to the beach, might go to the blizzards, we don't know. speaker-0: I think it's supposed I think it's hitting Long Island more than New Jersey. But it Saturday and Sunday is rainy. The high on Friday is 72. All the other highs are in the 60s. So you're golden. Sick. You're golden girlfriend. you know what else we should talk about that's been all over my feed is Dancing with the Stars. speaker-1: All I wanted to hear. Okay. Tell me. Did you watch? I've watched some of the dances, but I didn't watch like the show. I can't I can't bring myself to watch like a show that's basically all fluff and then dancing. You know? Na yeah. speaker-0: But some of the f like the packages are cute of them like cursing and stuff. Like that's like package dance, package dance. And then there's speaker-1: Do those. speaker-0: Like fr like the troupe does dances that you see in between and stuff. speaker-1: So that's all fun. That's true. No, I do like all that. ⁓ Okay, good. speaker-0: I'm loving it. They were I was really impressed. My favorites, my three favorites. Moore Higgins was like beyond out of this world. It was stunning. part of me I'm like, is Mark Ballast just that good of a teacher or is more like a secret hidden dancer or both? Like that is my takeaway. Cause damn. speaker-1: It was really good. Some pairings have to be li really lucky. Like they just like really connect, you know what I mean? speaker-0: For sure, for sure. But also like the pro, like you can tell when a pro is really good, I think. ⁓ speaker-1: Yeah, for sure. I definitely saw some comments like that. Is Mark Ballis just basically cheating at this point? 'Cause he's so good. He's so good. speaker-0: he's going on Broadway again, so this might be his last season. Maybe ever. Who knows? ⁓ but yeah. Top Moore Higgins, love. ⁓ Connor Wood, I thought was hilarious. I didn't know about and sound bites, obsessed. speaker-1: I you did it. The only one I care. It's so funny. speaker-0: feel like Riley for me before was just like whatever but like no I love them together. Really good. So fun. ⁓ Tyler Cameron I'm loving. Like I've always liked him and followed him. Definitely one of my favorites rooting for him. ⁓ and Ezra speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. Done. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was really, really good. Really good. speaker-0: That was so good. I'm kind of sad Sarah Jane and Haley went home. I would have liked to see them dance together. speaker-1: Sarah Jane. ⁓ yeah, the first are they the first female pairing? speaker-0: Yes. No, Jenna Johnson was paired with Jojo Siwa. Okay. Before. speaker-1: Nice, nice. speaker-0: But yeah, I would have liked to see more. I feel like she just like Sarah J. Nader just screwed it speaker-1: What did you think about Whitney Levitt's husband going home? ⁓ my god. speaker-0: I was sad about that. I was sad about Sarah Jane and for An Haley. I was not sad about Connor. speaker-1: You can't have two cottas. Come on. Seems like a sweet guy, but like Saw the dance and I was like, Yeah Not surprising. speaker-0: You can't have two coffee. No, yes. I feel like the new pro, Adele, didn't really do him any favors. speaker-1: Yeah, that was the vibe it seemed on socials. speaker-0: Yeah. And just like from like seeing the package and whatever. I also have been going back. I'm watching Dancing with the Stars Next Pro, which aired, I think, over the summer. Nice. ⁓ just 'cause like I'm interested in it now and seeing all the dancing with the stars stuff. I've been seeing some of the dances from that. And my goodness, one of the other finalists, her name was Selena. I think she was in the some of the like ⁓ She was in like the troupe for some of the bigger dances on dan like the big opening numbers. But anyway, I'm gonna send you one of her dances. Stunning. All of them are stunning. But like, my God, she was so good. And I feel like speaker-1: Please do. speaker-0: she would have done a better job. I like and I'm watching it. I see why they chose Adele, but I'm like, Selena would have been more fun to watch. Bigger personality. Like Adele has was more like classically trained in Latin and ballroom. And Selena not as much, but like she could have figured it out. She would have put on like better dances. Anyway. Wasn't sad about Connor going home. ⁓ speaker-1: Sadly, I did watch the five episodes of Secret Lab of Mormon Wise and ⁓ speaker-0: You think I like him scared, so I don't I mean where my thoughts speaker-1: It was It was literally just the Taylor show. speaker-0: Which I hate. speaker-1: Yeah. I hate it too. It makes no sense to me. Mm-hmm. In y you can go complete which I guess maybe they were just like gearing up for it to go alongside the Bachelorette, maybe? And like that's why. But the girls on I hate that I know this. But the the girls on ⁓ on TikTok said a few different things and they like, These are all the storylines they filmed that they could have used and they didn't and they could have used it they could have switched production, like they could have just switched the storylines they were gonna use. Yeah. And they didn't. And that just it it was not an enjoyable watch. Like Yeah. But but like it also was like it was fine. Every episode starts with like a three days until production halts. Blah blah blah. It's like, okay. That's weird. Yeah. But speaker-0: Take on that is like the fact that Taylor Frankie Paul is the main storyline still like shows that A, the producers think that that's what we want to see only. And sure it got so much attention, her and her like thing with Dakota like got so much attention in the news. So they're like, ⁓ well let's only show this, and like Bachelor was canceled. So like this is what we're gonna show. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: But that's not what we want to see. And then also there's all of these other like these women have such crazy and interesting lives. Yeah. Like Layla is bisexual and dating a woman now. Like I wanna see that storyline. speaker-1: Yes. Which at the ti in this few episodes she's still with what's his fucking face? Yeah. speaker-0: Mason. ⁓ and Michaela and Richard. I'd wanna see more of that dynamic. Like they're the Michaela? 'Cause like they're they're exes but speaker-1: The very Right. But like Miranda. speaker-0: Miranda. Okay, Miranda. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah, they never show Miranda at all. speaker-0: Like Miranda's so interesting to me. She is and like they actually have ⁓ better heads on their shoulders than like Taylor Frankie Paul, you watch it, it's the same shit over and over again. And it's exhaust it's exhausting and it's not like fun. speaker-1: She's interested. Exhausting. No, in fact it's actually really quite concerning. Like she has her children in these fights and it's like she literally like a lot of speculation in the comments is that her and Dakota do drugs together. And it feels really spot on. Which is which is total total whatever. But like I have speaker-0: Right. Yeah. Fail a drug test. speaker-1: No idea, but like I would not be Yeah. Well it is given crazy, crazy, crazy. Like they have this huge fight among the cast in Jesse's house at the end of this. And ⁓ meanwhile Jessie's like flippantly talking about divorce and like her and Jordan had like just moved into a new house, but like she's like, Yeah, we're probably gonna get divorced tomorrow. That's like And now she Like that's speaker-0: I think she did. She's speaker-1: Great, but like ⁓ it's just so dysfunctional and crazy. And she's also like having these all these plastic surgeries and like saying how how fucked up it is. But I'm just like there's so much weird there's like this weird trend of just being like self-aware, quote unquote, of how fucked up you are while still making the stupid decisions that I think we need to stop letting be okay. Like there's just so much of like, yeah. Yeah, I need to go yep, I'm in therapy for that. But yet you're still being rewarded for your decisions. You so fucking annoying. And this is this is a speaker-0: Also like fucking Taylor Frankie Paul being the star of the show again, like is also showing to her that that's what people wanna see is her like fucking up and making terrible decisions. And it's not. speaker-1: Like social me she should be barred from social media, to be honest. Because her no matter speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: She needs real help. She knows it. But it doesn't matter because she can go online, speak her truth, quote unquote. Right. And get support for anything she decides to say and then feed into her narcissist narcissistic personality. And like it's so I think it's just so obvious when all of these women have all these followers and they're in these comments. It's so obvious how social media plays into their mental health struggles. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. speaker-1: it's like right there for everyone to see. They see it. We see it. Everyone acknowledges it. And yet season six, you know what I mean? Like it's like, whoa. it's like Yeah, I don't know. The people who are I s looked at her comment section, Taylor Frankie Paul, because I was like, It's gotta be full of crazies. It's gotta be full of people being like, Hey girl, like, was she the best? Go get help. No, there's people in there that are like, You were robbed, like you You're the best. Like, fuck everybody. It's like these insane people. I'm like, are these all bots? Like, I don't know. And I don't I just find that really I really hate that. I really like what are we supposed to do with that? Like you can get praise for anything you do if you have a big enough following. That's insane. And maybe they're not real. It's very possible they're not real because the bots of the internet are extremely. speaker-0: Crazy. It doesn't exactly exactly speaker-1: He doesn't. For her. Not to her. It but it's crazy. I I just really speaker-0: In in a world of cancel culture where people can be cancelled for this same exact shit that's going on, like it's the opposite is happening. Crazy. Not that I'm like for her to get cancelled, I'm for her to get help. speaker-1: Yeah. ⁓ right. It's at the at the end of the ⁓ there's only five episodes. And at the end of it, like most of the girls are in their confessionals being like, I don't think any of us knew to the extent how bad this or how toxic this relationship between Dakota and Taylor really is. And it's like they keep saying that over and over and over again because I think I just think there's a lot that they are going to reveal that like there's a lot of like abuse, you know, and I don't know. It's just really I'm like, how could you not see it? If we're not only seeing what we see and you see more. I just I don't know. But like seeing that man on the TV, it's it's like a visceral like I I can't look away. Like he needs to go to jail. Like he's a hor I've never ⁓ I just can't believe he gets to be on TV. speaker-0: Right. Right. Yeah. speaker-1: And like his story, his abusive relationship with her is earning him money. speaker-0: Yeah. Like w that is so crazy. speaker-1: That's morally wrong. You can't allow that. Like and also I didn't realize I totally forgot that ABC's The Bachelorette and Hulu's Secret Life of Sequ of Mormon Wives, they're owned by the same company. They their production teams can choose they have the same boss. speaker-0: I don't understand that at all. So ⁓ did they was canceling the bachelor, bachelorette like what was the point of that? speaker-1: ⁓ I don't I don't know because they filmed the entire thing. They filmed the entire thing. She got engaged. speaker-0: ⁓ I heard about this. speaker-1: She engaged, home, with Dakota, and then got a boyfriend, and then broke up with her and gave her and fiance. And in episode one, within ten minutes, you know that. And that's crazy. speaker-0: Yeah, that's nuts. That's insane. Didn't she like drink the bath water or something? speaker-1: I have I don't even know. I was barely paying attention. speaker-0: That is insane. Yeah, I don't like owned by the same person like what made what made the batcher be canceled and and this still go on but only stop for five episodes? Like what filmed the whole thing. Like the same video of the fight between her and Dakota that came out like that Hulu and ABC like both speaker-1: Literally. They speaker-0: saw it. That's in what what is going on? That is nuts. That is the most I will say from the beginning, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was the most like, ⁓ my god, we haven't seen reality TV like this in the longest time. Where people are just like honest but also like delusional but don't know they're delusional, but like speaker-1: Yeah. They're enough in a bubble that they don't realize how they cut off. speaker-0: Exactly. Which like still there some of them are still I feel like Jesse like still enough in that bubble, but she's also aware of the outside world, but like doesn't understand how she comes off. Like you said, like it's nuts. speaker-1: Yeah. It's really But I I don't know how I don't know speaker-0: I deep deeply deep. speaker-1: deeply dislike Whitney. Like deeply. And like but sh was the one who went on Broadway. She went on dancing. And I that's a me thing. Everyone loves Whitney. I don't I speaker-0: She's one is Whitney. She's Everyone hated Whitney the first two seasons and now love speaker-1: She's very hateable. What what what I just ⁓ I just don't like her so much. I just don't like her. I just she like roughs me. She's I just don't like her. speaker-0: Did not. I think all of them she has a a good head on her shoulders, but I would never be friends with her. She's certainly she seems the most like she knows who she is. speaker-1: Well. She exact she's definitely she's maybe the healthiest, just the most speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I don't know. There's just something about her like blatant ambition and like her she will suffer no fools to get what she wants. Which I respect. I just No. I just dislike her soon. speaker-0: Like doesn't make a good friend. 'Cause like her husband, Connor, I feel like is the most supportive of that. speaker-1: I don't like Whitney at all. I love her husband. Her husband is the most likable person in the world. He's so likable. speaker-0: That happens a lot with couples. Like surprisingly. I remember coaching this one couple once where I worked with the wife for a while and like she was like a nice person, but just very like composed and whatever, like quiet when she worked out, which is again normal. Everyone works out differently. But she wanted me to start training her husband and she was like painting this picture of like he doesn't move well, like ⁓ just like the way speaker-1: Very surprisingly. speaker-0: Is she talking about him? I was expecting this like grouchy meetle man to come in. We started training together. He's the most talkative, open, like friendly, wants to get better. I'm like, what is going on? And then he talks about her like so highly about her, which is very, very sweet. But it's just like the way they talked about each other was so or like described each other to me was so different. speaker-1: That is so funny. That is so funny. Couples are so weird. speaker-0: Just couples. Couples are so weird. speaker-1: Especially ones that have been together for like forty years. It's so fair. You're like, this dynamic has been tested by everything possible. And this is where they landed. speaker-0: It's also funny the things like as you start working with people the things they share with you sometimes. You're like, ⁓ that was like but I mean I do the same thing, but I'm totally that was like extremely personal. Like I will do the same thing and with people too. So whatever. Like it's it speaker-1: ⁓ my god. Community dynamics are crazy. The things that I've told people in like the gym that like I would never say anywhere else. Like what am I what am I talking about? The gym is such a weird environment. speaker-0: It's like like getting waxed. Like don't do it two times. speaker-1: That's so true. I literally thought about my wax girl the other day. It's been so long and I was like, God, I wonder how she's doing. speaker-0: ⁓ Maybe the same for like ⁓ when you're getting your hair done. Yeah. But like that's a more of like an open well the gym is too, but like speaker-1: It's like you have to make conversations, so you just randomly bring up lore you haven't talked about in three speaker-0: Exactly. Yeah. Craziness. ⁓ I would definitely ⁓ I I'm reminding myself now to send you the dance. Selena and Jan do a dance. Okay. I'm like, my God. My goodness. speaker-1: Busyness. My God. Speaking of dance, you seen any good dance movies lately? Also, like, isn't this season like step up castmen or castmates or you've got Jen Duane? speaker-0: and Jen and Duan. Joyce Styles not is not step up, but save the last dance. speaker-1: Save the last dance. Stand by that. Love that movie. speaker-0: ⁓ did you see that Juilliard that whole thing that went down with Juilliard? What? No. Okay, so it was this is on TikTok. Ezre posted a TikTok that was like, I always dreams wished that my next dance partner like had gone to Juilliard. And then like she walks in and it's a joke because her character can see Juilliard. Juilliard. And it went like you know, it was on TikTok, whatever. Juilliard sent out like ⁓ made a announcement that was like Julia Styles. did not go to Juilliard and blah blah blah whatever. Like made like an official announcement. So they're like, What? Laughing. And she's like and she like made a she's like I that was like a joke, character in a movie. Like, no no no and Ezra Meadwell's like, Meadwell, she went to Colombia. speaker-1: Juilliard, that's a big oof right there. speaker-0: After their first dance though, Juilliard sent them like a bunch of Juilliard alumni stuff. speaker-1: Okay. So it's like actually very funny 'cause that's like, okay, you really were just like coming off as like some stuck up smart kid and now you're like, ⁓ I understand. And Exactly That's actually really funny. speaker-0: And it's like, okay, that's a full circle moment. Good recovery. Yes. Love it. speaker-1: Okay. I'm not What else is on my FYP these days? speaker-0: Okay, wait, here's a question for you. One more dance when the stars really go speaker-1: Whooped in an airport. That was what I just watched. ⁓ speaker-0: ⁓ I wanna watch that. Who would be your ideal dance partner? speaker-1: From the cast. I don't know them well enough. ⁓ I'm so sorry. I do feel like I would like one of the Max or Val. I mean Max. I would want Max for sure. I mean probably probably Mark Ballis or whatever the fuck. speaker-0: Yeah, what math? Yeah. I don't want Tasha maybe or Ezra or Brandon. They seem like really nice speaker-1: Well one of those like growly masculine men's. Aka Max. An accent. speaker-0: ⁓ I also just wanna say I really am reading for Amber too. I forgot about her. speaker-1: ⁓ wait, is it Amber Glenn? No way. Yeah. ⁓ shit, whoop everyone's ass. Speaker skaters are basically dancers. speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ I know, she did great. I know. I mean she's like competing against Jen and Duan, so hard. This but like she speaker-1: That's true. I will say this is a hard cast to be with. This there's a lot of professionalism going on. speaker-0: Kelly Abbott. There is. Yeah, the TikTok I was just watching was like old Dancing with the Stars lore and it was one of the guest judges was what's her name? The Abby from Dance Moms was a guest judge. Whatever. She's like notoriously not liked, I think. I think. ⁓ but she was a guest judge and then Merrill Davis and Max were dancing, and all the the dance mom could say was like You were lined up and your sickled feet, da da da da whatever. And then they go back up and Aaron Andrews is interviewing them after the score. Just like what did you think of the sickled feet comment? And Max is goes he goes, I don't care about anything that she says. And then Aaron Andrews in the background, who was had also been on Dancing with the Stars, partnered with Max. She goes, ⁓ Maxie speaker-1: I love him. He's incredible. speaker-0: Yeah. I mean ⁓ some things like were not great that like Saturday but like Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah, or he was. He's him and Pita's ⁓ Instagram reels and weird funny innuendo jokes. I'm like, why are you posting this? But also so random and funny too. So millennial humor. It's like this shouldn't even be a post. I don't know what you're doing. Exactly. But I do s eventually I'm like, I love these. speaker-0: Yeah. You're kind of owning it. speaker-1: No, they totally laugh. They're making blowjob jokes as a couple and I'm like, Why? No one is asking you to do that. But like but it really makes me laugh now. At first I was like, dude, dude, that get a life, and now I'm dying. Every time they do it now, they've completely won me over. Funny. Like I could cry right now thinking about it. I think it's so funny. speaker-0: So They're just like it's like they're like parents but they're still making like I don't know, it's just like funny the way that they like 'cause they'll make they'll have like parent humor too. speaker-1: Wait, yeah. Wait, this is making me I'm like I know. Every time I see it, I'm like this name. Okay, I know, it was earlier. But yeah, I you know, I've been wanting to dance. ⁓ what? I really have been. I'm ⁓ you I'm on like like try a new hobby every other month type shit and I'm like I really if I had the time I'd be seeking out some dance studios. speaker-0: Their son's name is Rio, by the way. I know too. Just throw it throw like some Shakira on and just like Yeah. Yeah, do that. You should do that. ⁓ you read the new Everflame book about this series again? speaker-1: I should do that. I did, yes. I'm on page This is the first one was Spark of the Everflame. We're now on to Burn of the Everflame. speaker-0: This is long waited. speaker-1: It is a thousand pages. speaker-0: It's I'm excited for that actually. You said it was good, right? speaker-1: It is just like the third book. Like it's the same tone, same pace, same thoughts. Like it feels exactly like I just picked up where I left off. speaker-0: That's good. 'Cause the third one I really enjoyed. This was a bit annoying. The second one just kinda like, Okay, like the story's getting better. The third one was like, Okay, I'm in this story now. speaker-1: Yes, me too. Third one like, okay, you have a fully functioning story. Thank God. And it was worth it. Thank God. ⁓ this plot is it's good. I see where it's going. It reminds me, it reminds me of like a a B version of like a mixture of the ⁓ the bitter blue book and like some graysling. You know what I Like so there's because there's a lot of rebuilding of kingdoms involved and restructuring of in politics. It's very political. And ⁓ and it's it's not as like satisfying as in bitter blue where everything was like at an even pace of like there's no immediate war raging in person to kill. It's about rebuilding. This of this still has we still need to defeat the bad guy situation and we're still trying to rebuild while we're trying to defeat the bad guy. ⁓ so there's a little bit of like it's not as satisfying, you know what I mean? Because we don't have one goal, we have like sixteen. ⁓ but it's really great. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I'm loving it. I'm loving the conflicts because it's been a while. I don't like you know, there's conflicts and it's good. Between the love interests. Here's what I'll say. When I read the the Knight and the Moth and the Knave and the Moon, I loved those stories. It was original, new story. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed her writing style. But I thought it was underdeveloped in a lot of areas. And this Burn of the Other Flame is giving me what I was missing from the Knave and the Moon. ⁓ speaker-0: Nice. Okay. speaker-1: Where I'm like, okay, this is just this kingdom is lived in. There's tons of characters. Each of them is real. Each of them has like like I I I don't need to ask like why they're here, like, you know? Mm-hmm. ⁓ so I'm really enjoying Burn of the Everflame and it is delightfully long. speaker-0: That's great because it seems like as much as it can be an easy read as far as like you can just read the story and not have to like be working in your mind, you know? Yeah. Like to figure things out or like questioning yeah, like trying to make sense of things as you're reading, which I think is common in a lot of like fantasy books sometimes. Yes. Where you're like you're reading and you're like, Okay, going along with the story, but you're also like trying to make it make sense in your head. Yes. So speaker-1: Yes. Did you read the The Knave and the Moon yet? speaker-0: No, not yet. Okay. speaker-1: Then I won't say anything. Okay. Yeah, I really liked it. And I have other things to say though. I guess I won't. speaker-0: Okay. I'm excited to read it. Yeah. And add my thoughts after I do if anyone's interested. ⁓ you know what else we ⁓ go. speaker-1: I did really like the ending of the the nave and the face. I liked the ending a lot. speaker-0: The what's her favorite? Is it just two books? It's just two. ⁓ that's nice. Okay. Sorry. That means that's like a I can like put that on the back burner until I'm ready to read it. That's nice. Yeah. ⁓ we started watching Trader's New Blood. speaker-1: Okay, is that the new traders to watch? 'Cause I was looking for like the new season or whatever, but there isn't like a new celebrity trade. speaker-0: Traders? Yes. Yeah, they just announced the cast for the new celebrity traders. Okay. ⁓ but this is just like nobody's although there are some influencers that like I know on there. ⁓ I there's one actually that I know. And ⁓ my gosh, opening scene. You know how it's like Alan in the castle and they have people with the masks. And then like, you know you watched some the other scenes. speaker-1: Yeah, not really, but I've seen social media stuff. speaker-0: Well there was like one guy who I forget what his name was, but he would like wore a hat and he had like a big beard and would like be like, I don't know, helping with the like it just adds to like the theatrics of it, like his costume and everything. His costume, like his what he was his his yes. Anyway, so this season it shows like these it shows this person. It's like, all right, we're they're coming, Alan, or whatever. speaker-1: Right. speaker-0: And then like it pans out and then there's two of them and I was like, ⁓ my god, it's Fred and George. Fred and George. No. Okay. Yeah. Just like a tiny, like, cute little glimpse where they have like a little commentary. But it's like the way they're talking. I'm like, ⁓ my God. That's it's so sweet. What the heck? Yeah. That first episode. Something to look forward to. That is cute. ⁓ no, but it's a it's a fun show. speaker-1: So excited. ⁓ Great British Bake Off comes back this week. Ever watch that? That's what we should watch. speaker-0: Ooh, I do a dude. I know, it's whatever. It's so good. speaker-1: But nothing has made me feel live that show. speaker-0: As a lot as It's just so lovely. Yeah, I know I will like it. You would like it. It's just like I have to be so picky with my T V these days. Fair enough. No. speaker-1: I had a really lazy weekend. And I didn't I mean I watched a good amount of T V, but I didn't watch like anything new. I watched Dawson's I've decided to give myself the gift of seeing Joey and Pay Z get back together and end the show that way. And I'm really happy with my choice. speaker-0: Creek. That's a great choice. I've never seen Dawson's Creek. speaker-1: Yeah, it's not really I think our age, it really like we w we missed it. That's not really for us. But you know me, I love I love a old like a I love a thr. That's the kind of pop culture I wanna know is the speaker-0: For sure. Creek area. Yeah. ⁓ I have a that's a good idea. I'll do a we should do a pop culture quiz. speaker-1: Do a pop culture quiz. speaker-0: That's a fun one. I feel like we're a very interesting point of time. Like nineteen ninety five to like ninety nine or like nineteen ninety seven to nineteen ninety nine slash like two thousand. Interesting time to be bored because it's like you're not really a millennial, you're not really a Gen Z. speaker-1: I mean, I was born in ninety four, yeah. speaker-0: Ninety f what I said ninety seven to yeah. I meant I was born in ninety five. I meant like ⁓ No, I meant ninety three. Yeah. ⁓ like also Disney Channel was like I feel like our peak, like Hannah Montana, Sweet Life, like but that was such only for like in our time period. Yeah. Like it's not like millennials are obsessed with Hannah Montana. speaker-1: I know. It's like How speaker-0: And Jen C is in. But we are. You know what I mean? It's very speaker-1: It yeah, there these there's a lot of gaps in these generations. speaker-0: Like the Disney Channel when it was the best was when we were consuming and watching it. And there were like a couple shows after us that I didn't watch so much of. Like the ones Zendaya was on, I didn't watch in that like that much of, but like Celine did, my little sister. Yeah. You know, like that was like our core. But like millennials watched Dawson Creek. I never watched Dawson Creek. No, yeah. speaker-1: There yeah. It's more like decades than generations, right? It's like if you were born in I don't even know. I don't even know. Eighty five to ninety one you're gonna know these things if you're born speaker-0: Ninety two to speaker-1: ninety six, you're gonna know these things. Like they're really sh little spans, I feel. Because even like even in Montana, I feel like the Jonas brothers was like eighth grade for us. Which like I didn't really I wasn't like speaker-0: Short lift. Mm-hmm. Sixth grade. Was it really like sixth grade? I'm trying to picture sixth grade. speaker-1: Trying to picture like Nicole singing Skaterboy outside of like the fifth grade or the sixth grade classroom. speaker-0: I think it was fifth grade where I ran a five K and listened to the Hat Montana. Really? Fifth grade? That's crazy. I think maybe seventh, but I think speaker-1: Recess in that like in like the quad. No, you gotta no it's It was C Ds. I was listening to burned illegal C Ds and I would I was in that bedroom in the middle of the house with like no windows to the outside world and I would play Hannah Montana at the top of this like C D D player, like as hard as it could go, and then like turn it off whenever my mom would knock on the door and be like, It's nothing. It's Star Ninety Nine Pound speaker-0: But all the Don't worry about it. speaker-1: Don't re and she's like, I hate start on your nine point one, rock and roll. It's Christian rock, mom. speaker-0: ⁓ It's How far we've come. How far we've come. Yeah. Radio stations. Remember when we went to ninety five five PLJ Blast Off at Point Pleasant? Was I speaker-1: I I remember this all the fucking time for no reason. We did so many fun things. Do you remember Nash Bash? speaker-0: Really fun. Nashbash, ⁓ my gosh, and the cruise. And we played Nash Bash a couple times. Yeah. That was fun. That was I picked Ebbie up from taking an exam at Seton Hall and I made us like I mixed Malibu and Coke, I think. While I was waiting for you in the car. And we went to the train station into the city. speaker-1: Cruise, we played We did Nash Frash a couple times. So fun. speaker-0: But you were just finishing up your like Spanish exam or something. Yes. Espanol baby. It's such a concert, but in one boat. On a boat. It was really fun. speaker-1: Yo. Premition. ⁓ to a country concert on a boat? It was so fun. And other people met us there, like Johnny and I think the groom next week getting married. speaker-0: Yeah, I think so. Yeah. ⁓ speaker-1: Dude, that was so fun. Nash Fashion. speaker-0: Yeah the video. ⁓ speaker-1: We've we've seen Dirk Sprantley quite a few times. speaker-0: I know. You know what? I w listened to it randomly the other day and I'm like, ⁓ it's not Dirks? Yeah. There's speaker-1: There's a few that I'll put on like Yeah. I'll listen to that sometimes. Or like a classic, like speaker-0: ⁓ blah And ⁓ Becky was not from South Alabama. ⁓ speaker-1: Or like I was sitting right there saying speaker-0: Yeah. What was I thinking? Yeah. It does, it does. Three five years. ⁓ Correct. speaker-1: ⁓ it really was that thing that does hit sometimes. But like once every like it can't do more than that. And like speaker-0: It's it's fun for the nostalgia. speaker-1: It is. I had a country music phase and it was a phase. speaker-0: I kinda yeah. There are like country songs every now and again that are fun, but I I don't lose like just yeah, same. speaker-1: Sell country music. It's some of it's good and some of it's not. speaker-0: Good. Did you listen to the new Luke Bryan song? speaker-1: Nope, didn't know he was even making music. speaker-0: Neither do I, neither did I, but I've just seen it and actually it's so funny. So basic. speaker-1: Only cute for like a year of his life. speaker-0: He has this ⁓ correct. He has this new song. What's the name of it? I'm trying to find it right now. Why style? ⁓ it the because their style is like the jeans and flannel. You can wear anything. Okay. Like switch it up, bro. He has a song called Fish Hunt Golf Drink. speaker-1: Why can't country music stars have stopped? That's awesome. speaker-0: ⁓ okay. I think it's down goes the whiskey. And basically it's like just like a bunch of like this and that like verbs, like down goes the whiskey, slam goes the door. That is like very like stupid and whatever. All of the comments are so funny. It's like down goes the volume. The best the best like fart goes the butt. speaker-1: Wait, that's actually incredible. See and the internet stays winning. speaker-0: I need to find the ⁓ That's beautiful video. Beautiful. Like fart goes the butt. speaker-1: That's fine. That's what I was saying. Country music used to mean something. It used to be beautiful and there still is beautiful country music out there. speaker-0: Here's the thing, I feel like Luke Byrne had the one really popular song and then like Yeah which was speaker-1: Like something about speaker-0: ⁓ tailgates and c shapegates. speaker-1: Yeah. Now which when I was sixteen I was like, ⁓ my god Top of a bar and sh our asses. speaker-0: Amazing. I'm pretty sure we got on Sugar. It was like his only good song. But like the videos of him like singing at spring break concerts and stuff, I was like, ⁓ he's hot. He speaker-1: Yeah. That's what I'm saying. He was hot for like one year and then he's a schlub. And like good for him, like be a schlub. There's no reason not to be a speaker-0: Because like wife is really funny, I've seen a couple. Hey. speaker-1: I'm not here to say he's a bad person. He makes speaker-0: I think of of of all of them, he is actually a pretty good person. Like I think well that he like took in ⁓ his like I don't know, like if his brother somebody in his family I think I think this is the story. Somebody in his family passed and he like took in their kids as their own and like raised them. Yeah. speaker-1: Tonight. Yes, he should. ⁓ else was the thing. I still to this day there's Kenny Chesney songs I gotta play. Mm and I like I I I just think he's kind of like a he's just a bump on a log, wants to drink tequila on a beach and like good for him. There's just like a few s there's a Tim McGraw songs I have to play every every five years. Absolutely. What's the like just like they're very there's a lot of yearning in ⁓ in some of those songs. And I love that. Like, let's just pretend for five seconds I have a Star Crossed lover who's down the highway and I gotta drive there at twilight and sing the song. And I do. And I imagine that. And I have myself a little it's like reading a rom com for like a second. speaker-0: It's it's lovely. speaker-1: Come over. Come over. I think it's Kenny Chesney. No, it is it Timothy. It's Kenny Chesney, yeah. But it that one has some real Turn the TV off to turn it on again. Staring at the blade of the fan as it spins around. Yeah It's so good. It's so good. Yeah, like literally I'm gonna have to listen to that as soon as speaker-0: We stopped this because you what it was? Andrew and I were driving home from the beach and I was playing country songs that were like throwbacks because that's when you listen to it. Exactly. And then there was that one song that you and I used to listen to all the time that I couldn't, especially driving home from the beach, and I couldn't figure out what it was, and then finally I got it. But I can't play it. No, I I I will get there. speaker-1: No speaker-0: ⁓ my god. So like it was literally a one hit wonder, so it's not like I could remember his name or the thing. It was something about sun sunshine and whiskey. Sunshine. No, not at all. speaker-1: The genre? It was country. ⁓ Billy Currington? Curlington? ⁓ I still love Billy Currington. speaker-0: Current chance was what about Philly. What a cutie. He was great. Yeah, what a cutie. I love It was like Frank something. speaker-1: Yeah, curly hair. Sunshine and whiskey? Sunshine whiskey. Is it that one? Is it the one about like the sun sunscreen? Something about like speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ Every time you kiss me, it's like sunshine. Chilling on a beach with my sweet Georgia Peach. Well no, that's how it is. ⁓ hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet, burn me up and down. ⁓ Every time you kissed me, that was it, yeah. Yeah. I was just like ⁓ in my mind, I was like, what is it? Something about sun and kid like I couldn't get it. speaker-1: And it was Yeah. It was just a good beat and rhythm. speaker-0: ⁓ Something about like D W I D W K drive off. speaker-1: Drop ⁓ while kissing, that'll put you away. We would love we would sing that all the time. ⁓ my God. Yes. speaker-0: Like it was always driving home from the beach. Like I remember exactly coming off of two eighty seven, going towards your house, like passing like the industrial buildings, and I'm like that's literally where we were. And I was like, I need to remember this song when we were driving home. speaker-1: ⁓ no, there were some good There were some other really c like classic like beach driving home from the beach playlists, which driving home from the beach is such a vibe because you're exhausted, you're sun kissed, you're tired, but like speaker-0: Exactly. Ugh. Easy listening. Yeah. speaker-1: And no one wants to talk 'cause they've been talking all day. speaker-0: Yeah. Kip Moore. speaker-1: Kipmore. Didn't we see him in like a park with Caitlin in like speaker-0: No no no. That was Jake Owen. Jake Owen. See that wasn't I know the name of Jake Owen was That was so fun because he had a whole brass band with him. Yes. And it was so cool. They were speaker-1: That was so fun. speaker-0: Ryan is another one I'll I'll listen to always. Me too. Exactly. speaker-1: He's barely country. He's like he's like he's like I don't even know what he is, like poppy for sure, but but he always had like twenty piece bands and it was a speaker-0: For sure. Blast. Yeah. They were that was that was really fun. ⁓ speaker-1: Yeah. When we saw Free, we went to that show there. speaker-0: Yeah. ⁓ my gosh. Remember the Brian Park like learning how to dance? Yes, of course. And we went to Salsa with the speaker-1: We went to an underground salsa club with a strange man who I don't know if he spoke English 'cause I don't remember speaking to him. speaker-0: No, he spoke English. I not say it's accident, but he spoke English. He definitely preferred dancing with you and I like, All right, that's fine. 'Cause like everyone was good. Like everyone knew what they were doing. speaker-1: We just I don't recall that. How we got there, I have no idea. He we literally this man was like, Y you wanna go to this other place? And we were like, Yeah, absolutely. speaker-0: It wasn't like sketchy feeling. ⁓ speaker-1: I just don't remember it did not feel sketchy at all. It did not feel sketchy at all, but I don't remember it feeling anything at all other than like neutral. speaker-0: Which what it was like a true like what you would see in a movie. Like a literally dance. Like literally. It was like chairs, the board. Everything was so good. speaker-1: Whatever. Like a downstairs. Yep. It was chronic like a small room. Yeah, you know it was real because all the men were old and I loved that. Everyone was there to dance and there was no question about anything else. No one wanted to speak. And you could tell like there's like communication, like they don't know what they're doing, but they're open to be your bird. speaker-0: Older. Yeah. partner people wanted to dance with you and then like if you had like a good vibe they would keep dancing with you. Like it was like yeah, that was so fun. speaker-1: That was so much fun. I just remember being like, I am pressed up against these people and but I it does not matter. I feel very safe. I felt very safe. It was a blast. speaker-0: It was a lot of fun. speaker-1: I was thinking at one point we eventually just like dipped out. speaker-0: Yeah, yeah. speaker-1: And that was that. I think they're all kissed the man like speaker-0: Yeah. Like to like take a break. But yeah, that was that was a great time. Wow. So cool. Very cool. speaker-1: Wild shit. Wild I'd love to do something like that again. I don't know. Yeah. Those things just happened. speaker-0: How was You can't you can't plan them. speaker-1: No. Was that a speaker-0: podcast episode we were like gonna talk about is like you can't always like create a moment. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow when things happen. speaker-1: I mean yeah. Yeah. I feel like going and like, let's talk about it. Like when was the last time you went with the flow and something happened? speaker-0: Good happen. speaker-1: Like when's the last time you like just spontaneously did something that wasn't that's been I think No, something you can share with the class lists. speaker-0: And something you'd even speaker-1: I You can't answer it for me. You have to answer it for the catch up people. ⁓ The four ketchup bottle. speaker-0: It's like a block in my brain. speaker-1: I mean, I'm trying to think of one as well. speaker-0: Like w when we went to ⁓ visit you once, we were with Rachel and JP and we went to San Juan for a day and we like kind of found a spot that was just like live music and dancing, but it was like in the street and it wasn't like there wasn't like that many people passing through. Mm-hmm. ⁓ so it wasn't that fun. We I did go to a cool show in this city once where it was like it was like a fun dinner and it was like almost like a burlesque type of show, but like It was like kinda not how it wasn't interactive, but like you you didn't have a seat. You were like moving around and then like watching the show. That was cool. ⁓ that's cool. Yeah, that was fun. I feel like I need to do my life for this to happen 'cause all my screws are with you. speaker-1: Actually, you know what, that's a actually a good point because when you're with someone else there's much more like ⁓ speaker-0: Ruone to like you're safer. You're safer for sure. And you need someone to like bring out that side of you. speaker-1: Yeah. And I do think we we that each we we are well practiced in that. speaker-0: We really love each other. We We trust each other so much. I like we know like I don't have to worry that like I need to like take care of you. 'Cause like we're we're such on the same vibe where like we have each other's back always, but also we can allow each other to have fun. Yes. That's important. speaker-1: Exactly. Super fun being single together and it was super fun dating our boys together for those reasons. speaker-0: Yes. Super fun. That's so true. speaker-1: ⁓ and yeah, we're just we're really good adventure buddies. 'Cause I think we have like the same level of caution. We're like we're willing we're willing to go here. Past here, we would never consider. Yeah. But up to here we're both down for. And that's nice. speaker-0: And we both have good radars of like if we're if like we're feeling sketchy, we're both feeling sketchy, you know? Yeah. Like we we have a good read on that. Yeah. Well I don't wonder what that is. Just memory growing up so close to each other, I guess. speaker-1: Yes. I mean, yeah, we're just we've been in sync most of our lives. speaker-0: Right. speaker-1: Which is lovely. I do feel like here because I I mean I say this a million times, but because I had to build my community over again, I had to be very open to new things and different things. I do feel like the first time I hung out with my friend Alejandra, which just hung out the two of us, it was such a surprise how much fun we both had together and how easily we along that it was like we hung out to like 2 a.m. just changing. speaker-0: Here. ⁓ speaker-1: just talking and listening to music and like sharing stories. And I remember being like, what the fuck was that? Like that was weirdly so much fun. And like, why? Yeah. Like we don't have much in common. We're not the same age. Like but we do have tons in common. We know now. But like you know, at the time crazy. And I think now most of those experiences come From just interacting with people. There's not much going on like environmentally that's changing. Yes. But like people are the most interesting thing in the world. For sure. That's such a and I think speaker-0: That's a good point. Yeah, like connecting with someone in that way is kind of rare. But also it doesn't need to be. Like you just need like the right environment or like Yeah. You know, you it's like to get there with someone. You know, you really do need to speaker-1: And like you need to it has to happen on its own. You can't force those types of things. speaker-0: There is such a high when like you're on the same wavelength with your friends and everyone's like in like that p l speaker-1: Literally It's such a high. It's such a high. And it it gets less and less over time because everyone has so many responsibilities that like there's not you can't allot that time for that to happen. So it becomes this even rarer because even if there's it could happen, you just don't have the time. ⁓ and your priorities are different. And that's what I kind of mean too by that. I think we both were like, How did that even happen? It how did it have the space to happen? You know speaker-0: Yeah. Right. speaker-1: And it's I that's one of my favorite things is like that ha like me and Mishka, same thing. Like when we met it was like and we had like great convos, great like connection, you know? Life is cool like that. speaker-0: Life is cool like that. speaker-1: And that's on moving away, you know? You have to speaker-0: Yeah. yourself out there in order Yeah. I will say looking for work now and only having worked in one industry with one company, I like look at all these words and I'm like, ⁓ like words are overwhelming me. I'm like I know what this is, but also can we just like be real? Like It's crazy. It is crazy. Because I've done all of this but it feels like I haven't speaker-1: Put yourself out there. ⁓ Yes. Getting into corporate speak is like a skill. Yeah. All right. Yeah. Once you like I it's taken me but right now I'm probably at p corporate speak and it's kind of like a flex at times where you're when you do know the truth. speaker-0: What? Years. Some time. Job titles, like digital marketing. Like, do I know what it is? Yeah, of course. But like in actuality, I'm like I'm like reading it and I'm like, I can't picture what this person like No, like literally, I'm like 'cause like what I do, it's like physical. I'm in person, like coaching someone, or I'm like following up with like it's like very much like you can picture what I'm doing. Versus like all of this, it's like you're just on your computer, like it's not really ⁓ speaker-1: Explain yourself right now. Real. Very abstract. It actually has real consequences. ⁓ and I I feel like as a trainer, you need to be as concise and as instructive as possible. That is really you do really need to be doing that the same thing in a corporate setting if you because you need to convey what you need in the most communicative manner. And it's really helpful when someone knows how to communicate what they need and what they have to give. speaker-0: Everyone. Yeah, crazy. ⁓ It's very counterintuitive. Yeah. speaker-1: So like part of speaker-0: Corporate speak is like speaker-1: Distilling everything down into those things. So my bullet points are like, God. speaker-0: To me. Yeah. Well even people who like say like, ⁓ I work in communications what do you do? Like what do you do all day? I don't know. You communicate with people? Like that's what I'm But like also like that's what I need. speaker-1: Sadly, yes. Yeah. I mean it really it does have its bonuses, I can't lie. It absolutely does. I can do it anywhere, whether I want to or not. speaker-0: Right. No, my goal is to be able to like move for like a month or three weeks in the winter. It's not gonna happen this winter, but to do that for a winter, just get out of like the northeast for a good chunk of time and be able to work from there. That's the goal. speaker-1: And and like I know this journey, it is a rough journey to getting to applying and getting a job, but you'll get it. You could do it. And like another thing I've never understood is like changing your resume for the whole. It's like Am I supposed to like does that and this is a real question, does that mean like you're a trainer? Does that mean taking all of like the social media work you've done and only focusing on that as your resume? speaker-0: I think so. It's like or like if they ask for a cover letter, you can kinda keep the resume similar. But yeah, you highlight different things. speaker-1: Which makes sense in theory. I just like have never done it. speaker-0: funny, I've been trainer, but like I ran a gym essentially. So like I've done so many things. But It's so hard. Like what was the most like I wore so many hats, but like what was I wore so many hats? Look at that. That's a corporate speak. But like what ⁓ you can prioritize, I guess, is it? I don't even know. Like can I be a data analyst? Probably. Like I need to like have some experience, which I don't really have, but like I sure could do it. Like I don't know. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. Well, I'll train you in my job so you can take over when I buy a business of my own. speaker-0: Okay. Okay. It's not speaker-1: hard. You just have to like you have to be okay. You have to be able to like talk to different people at different levels and then you have to be able to write for different people's voices. speaker-0: And that's really it. Mm. speaker-1: And you have to manage you've got to manage stuff. You have to manage clients and managing too? speaker-0: To me it's like it's it's not hard. Exactly. It's easy. It annoying. speaker-1: Can get annoying and you have to be on top of your shit, otherwise speaker-0: You will get fired. speaker-1: But other than that, it's f if I can be on top of my shit, anyone can be on top of their shit. speaker-0: Yeah. Literally. It's writing. I was gonna say I don't think I'm the best writer, but like I could if I did it more. But I'm writer. The way I write is very straightforward. And that's good. I guess it it is good for yeah, depending. speaker-1: Ha ha ha. I feel like you're agreeing. Plus AI exists now. And hate to say it, y'all, but LinkedIn is AI at this point. Well speaker-0: if it's like something that Like we're not creating art here, we're just trying to like Yes. Like if I put bullet points in it it just needs to be like a different format, pff that's yeah different than creating something. Not only speaker-1: ⁓ So like you wouldn't have to do that because we already have a format for you to give them. speaker-0: Right. ⁓ speaker-1: It's wild out there. speaker-0: Yeah, that's the other thing that's weird is AI is everywhere and involving everything, but like what? Okay, so somebody sent me an email and I will read it to you because I had to reread this a couple of times, being like, What? I'm reaching out from this company. We are a market research firm, and right now we're looking at practice management and electronic health record software solutions. They're particularly interested in perspectives from practice owners and other decision makers who do not currently use EHR systems that can share professional perspectives and insight on EHRs. Given your background, we believe your insights would be valuable. Love to schedule a brief blah blah blah introductory call. So I'm going to read this. I was like, sure, like if you want to. pay me so I can like try something. No, I looked it up. It's not. It sounds like it. I I've definitely gotten a lot of spam emails since putting my new free basically. To like I'm I'm assuming ⁓ and I scheduled a call. And also she like followed up, she sent this Friday, she followed up Monday. It came from like the actual site. Like I looked up the site, her emails from the actual site. ⁓ I scheduled the call, emailed her back. She also like responded to that. speaker-1: They're asking you for your data. speaker-0: Like great, looking forward to talking. Like I'm like, okay, you're a real person. Yeah. Okay. But basically, like it's a it's a study that they're doing that I'm just a participant in. But they're looking for feedback from someone who has like knowledge to use their system, their software system. Like that's what I'm assuming. But I'm and and then I looked at the company and I was also kind of confused on their website. But anyway, that's what I'm saying. I get an email like that and I'm like, okay, like sure, but also like what? What do you want? Tell me what you want. How much are you paying? It that I have no idea. Do you is it for free? speaker-1: Tell me what you want to actually pay. speaker-0: No, so I scheduled a call to just learn more about it. And then I'm sure from there I would either do it or not. ⁓ don't worry. The the ⁓ subject is paid study. Okay. There you go. Exactly. Yeah. So I'm like assuming it's just like a software that I'll give insight on. But I have no idea. I just speaker-1: Okay okay. Just like imagine any email that I did not ask for, well I'm like only ever checking my professional emails. I'm just never checking my personal email. speaker-0: Also I am There's like nothing really comes up in that one. I mean unless it's like what I check. I don't know. I don't know. Like orders and if you want to see like your statements and stuff. That's it. True. But I Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ That's it. All right. speaker-1: This is do that on the apps. Anyway. ⁓ Could check it. We're in our we're we're we're in a growing era. speaker-0: Or just More chit chat and yeah, I'm like, who knows? Life could look very different in the next year than it has looked in the previous ten years. Yeah. But like professional life, I guess I should say. Yeah. Yeah. Or like day to day life. It already does look different. Let's actually be real here. speaker-1: There was I would suggest ⁓ speaker-0: ⁓ speaker-1: Looking at Facebook. speaker-0: groups. There are For different interesting speaker-1: Industry. speaker-0: ⁓ speaker-1: And they like there's that's how I got the job I have right now. But that's the only reason I have the job I have today. LinkedIn also has groups and like people because there's so many like resume things like Indeed and all those things. You can get a million gajillion terrible resumes so no one speaker-0: There's It's really hard to get your speaker-1: Or scene unless you send it directly to someone. speaker-0: ⁓ speaker-1: So you gotta figure out how to send someone directly. speaker-0: Your resume. So fair. speaker-1: That's the only way. speaker-0: I know. And then also like I made my resume, but I'm like sending it like again, like on indeed, no one's really seeing it. I'm like I I if I actually am serious, I need to like update my resume. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. I really feel like applying through LinkedIn and applying through Indeed, that's how you get a shitty job. But to get like an actual job that you won't hate, there's a couple that you gotta like really it's like the equivalent of like going to someone's office and dropping off your resume. Like you gotta go to like a company's website, go to their clook at it, and then email like someone like HR, you know? speaker-0: Yeah. Or and I'm on Facebook now after you said that and I'm just getting post after post. It's like a thing like seven day coaching course to create your own whatever. And then Nor'easter targets New Jersey, multiple rounds of storms possible. ⁓ flight. I was about to say your flight actually should be fine. Okay. Stormy Sunday in New Jersey forecast of up to two and a half. That's a great, great wedding forecast. speaker-1: They should do it on Saturday. speaker-0: Pleasant weather, imagine. Pleasant weather is expected on Friday and Saturday to start the weekend before storms arrive early Sunday and continue throughout the day. ⁓ speaker-1: No. speaker-0: I hope so. I mean, I'm sure they have a backup. I mean who else ⁓ another podcast idea I had that I got from somewhere. Things that like feel illegal that aren't, but they feel like they are illegal. speaker-1: Give me an example. speaker-0: ⁓ this was on a podcast episode that I listened to and one of the examples was eating food in the grocery store that you haven't paid for yet. I know. speaker-1: Great example. Great example. speaker-0: I'll come up with ⁓ with some fun ones, I think. What do I ⁓ speaker-1: What I'm trying to think walking barefoot in a store. speaker-0: ⁓ Have you done that? speaker-1: People do it here all the time. They're like coming from the beach. There's a lot of there's a lot of woo woo people here who don't wear speaker-0: Shoes. Interesting. I'm sorry. You in public? Like for yourself? Yeah, the closest thing to speaker-1: But you gotta wear Don't understand that. It's another one. speaker-0: Yeah. I well d let's let's think of some. If we can think of some and write them down. I think they w that we could be funny. That is funny. speaker-1: I had a I like have to go soon. I keep waiting for my text to be like, I'm on my way to pick you up. ⁓ I don't see it. ⁓ I miss you. I'm so excited to see you. speaker-0: ⁓ yet though. So ⁓ I know, I'm really excited. ⁓ 'cause Friday and the wedding. Like this is a Friday. I know. ⁓ speaker-1: I know. No. Excited. I was driving home from the post office some stuff at the post office and in my small town life. Picked up my shit from the post office and was driving home and there was speaker-0: Office today? Picked up. ⁓ it's in the library. ⁓ speaker-1: Yeah. I was driving home from the post office. speaker-0: And I came across something oddly peculiar. speaker-1: So good. I'm trying to remember the next line, but I can't. I was driving home from the post office and there was a lady like hovering on the sidewalk of the street, like about to cross, and there's not that many like places to cross. So like normally I it's very common just stop, let everyone go, no matter where you are. But she this was like at a like speaker-0: Yeah. Yeah. speaker-1: very ambiguous section of the road and I was like, I'm not I'm not stopping. You could tell and I I this is something I work on here. I'm supp I let people go much more than I used to, but I was like, I'm not stopping because she did not give off energy that she was ready to cross. She was sitting there and she looked like she gave off like she just was not ready to go. But she was gonna cross the street, but she was not ready to go. So I went past her. And then another guy, this happens often another guy w started to cross the street right in front of me. I stopped. I let him go because he was ready to go. And I had that thought of like, this is how I'm basing off me being nice. Like you have to be giving I'm ready to go energy if you want to get involved with traffic. speaker-0: What is the point of the story? speaker-1: The point of the story is how do you base off when the place the pedestrians go and when not to? speaker-0: about things that should feel illegal. speaker-1: This reminded me of this moment. I was like, I can't stop for everybody. And I'm only gonna stop for those who are giving me I'm ready to go energy. Like people who are trying to merge into traffic. If you're not like already merging into traffic, I'm not gonna let you go. speaker-0: You have to be doing your part of trying. speaker-1: Doing your part of trying and I just wanted to know if you agree with me. speaker-0: I do. I do agree with you. I will say in New Jersey, if you see someone like about to cross the road, there's no one like waiting for the to be ready to cross the road. Like you know what I mean. But like you have speaker-1: Do you look ready to run? speaker-0: Like they're like if somebody is trying to cross the road in Jersey, they're already like in the road. That's what I'm saying. Forcing you to stop. That's what makes sense. But like you don't come across the alternative ever. Okay. speaker-1: Well here in Little Rinco n they do. speaker-0: I undersa yeah, that may yeah. I understand your dilemma. speaker-1: I've been told I'm an ass because I don't like to let people go, but because they're not fucking ready. If you're gonna make me come to a complete stop, I should not have stopped for you. speaker-0: It's because So fair. That's all fair. speaker-1: Be I can slow down and you can join me in this dance with money. speaker-0: He called. What are we even talking about anyway? I don't know Rio is still knocked out and it's six fifteen, so it's gonna be an interesting night. speaker-1: Yeah. Are you s w when does he go to bed? Seven thirty? speaker-0: ⁓ and he heard me 'cause he just rolled to the side nope, okay. Is he waking up? I don't know. ⁓ but usually between seven and eight. He didn't go down for a nap till four thirty, so that maybe was the issue. Normally he goes down like closer to three and three thirty, but anyway. speaker-1: I gotta go put on a bra. speaker-0: I gotta go pay. Ugh this wine tonight, that's my contribution. It's a great con contribution. Sorry to the world, but don't let anyone tell you any differently ever. speaker-1: This is always a potluck and I'm bringing water. I'm running on fumes. We're discussing into the blue tonight, so No. I really I did mean to like recap, but then I've been burning the Everflame, you know? speaker-0: ⁓ excited, do you remember it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Burn that flame, baby. Yeah. speaker-1: But I do have a lot of notes on 'cause why? I don't know. Anyway. I love you. speaker-0: Okay. Well, love that. Love you. Thanks for listening. This was fun. Although you do every other week, but yeah, no. No. No no no. Okay, I'm tomorrow social media for me. Okay. Okay. Gorgeous, gorgeous. Alright, love you guys. Love you. Thanks for listening. speaker-1: I like that. No Gorgeous. Goodbye.
