8/28/2026: Well, we're back to you again with another episode of the odd trio. My name's Louis. EK. B Roach. And Wano. So we got the homie B Roach from TikTok. Homeboy has over a hundred thousand followers on TikTok, bro. Over one point something. No, more than a million likes, right? Seven, seven something. Yeah like that. Seven point four Something like that. That's crazy. Cool, cool. So what's up, man? What got you started into doing TikTok? How'd you get into that? man. You know what? It was I think about what 2019? About 2019, I think it was. I don't know if that was right before the pandemic or right after. Might be right before. I you know what, man, I just it was musically before. I think it was musically. And my wife got there and she makes videos and stuff, and I was like, let me try this shit out. What is this? I was bored one day and I was just sitting there. And then I was on Facebook before that, but I was kinda doing stupid videos. And then I got involved with some other things, stuff going on in the personal life, you know, involving a couple different companies. And we were talking about it earlier, but I just decided that I needed to have a voice somehow. you know, because big companies, the only way you're gonna have a voice is if you get out in the in the you know, out in the open, the airwaves. Yeah, get in the Yeah, so I that's what kinda got me on that train, man. And then I've always been in the politics political, you know. And I just it just grew from there like I just I wasn't expecting to take it anywhere. I just kinda said push record and let's just see where it goes. And then it just it caught a flame, dude, and it was just history from there. So what was your first video that went viral? The one that made you like, you know? You know what's crazy? The first video of me went viral wasn't even actually a video that I posted. So let me explain. I will get into it. So it's about two thousand fourteen, Looking to change my career. I have a career I have a degree in criminal justice. But I was kinda yeah, I was trying to see what I was gonna do, you know, trying to change it up. So I went to an ambulance company here in town. Okay. Right. And went to apply for one of their positions. But before I did, I went and said, Hey, I want to speak to you guys for a second. Obviously, I'm heavily tattooed. Right, right. If that's an issue, cool, no worries. I don't waste your time, waste my time. You're private company, no harm, no foul. But I just don't want to waste both of our times. Yes. And so they were like, Yeah, no problem. Look, if you pass the test, your guaranteed interview, not a problem. cool. Alright. So I took the test. They're like, we'll give you results in two or three days, we'll give you a call. And it was Wednesday, Thursday, Friday comes, I don't get a call. you know, maybe they're busy. Right, right. I don't know how you know, maybe they're busy, whatever. So I give it until Monday. No call Monday. And I'm like, Damn, did I really bomb this test? I'm like, there's no way. I'm like, maybe I did. So I call and I'm Yeah, this is who I am. You know, I just want to get my test results. And I was like, I didn't know if there's an issue because I did speak with the operations manager before about my tattoos and he said if I pass the test, I'm guaranteed an interview. I was like, So I don't know if I pass the test. And she's like, Well, hold on a minute. She puts me on hold. And she gets back on. She's This is Mr. Roach, right? And I'm Yeah, that's that's yeah, I'm that's why I'm calling, you know, I give her my name already, but she wanted to verify it. So then she goes, You did pass the test. I was like, Okay, cool. And I was expecting to hear, like, you know, sorry, you fell through the cracks, we missed the phone call. Right. But she was like, but unfortunately, because of your tattoos, we can't offer you an interview. And I said, Hold on a minute. I said, wait a minute. I said, I spoke to your operations manager. I don't remember his name. I knew it at the time, obviously, but some time passed. I was like, I would like to speak with him. And she goes, Well, let me place you on hold. Again. Okay, cool. So I get placed on hold. Right. Two minutes. Five minutes. Hold. Ten minutes. I'm like, okay, whatever. Maybe they're debating it. Maybe he's like, yeah, whatever. So the phone hangs up. Yeah. And I'm like, okay, I do live in an in out there, maybe whatever. Call back. Hey, I'm looking to speak, you know, to so and so. She goes, yeah, hold just a minute. Cool. Two minutes pass. Five minutes pass. Hangs up. I'm like, there ain't no way. I'm like, there ain't there ain't no way. So I was like, you know what? Forget it. So I post something on my Facebook. There was an investigative port reporter at the time who I knew. And I mean you can look it up. Adam Herbetz. He was an investigative reporter. I think it was 17 years at the time. Seventeen years, okay. And he hit me up. He's like, Look, man, he goes, This is crazy. Let me cover this. Let me fe you know, let me let me let me go out and talk to you and let's let's investigate this. I'm like, Yeah, sure, do whatever. Like, it's cool. Like I was angry, but I wasn't like, whatever, it is what it is. Like, what am I gonna do? You know, move on. So he comes out, he does an interview with me, and you know, brings out the camera and everything, and then he leaves. Cool, whatever. it made the news the next night. look, I'm on the news, whatever, cool, whatever. So whatever. And then the next morning, I'm getting Texas. I was like, eight in the morning. Bro. I was like, I had no idea what Reddit was. Wasn't in my didn't know. He's like, dude, he goes, Texas. He goes, it's crazy. You're going legitimately vile on Reddit. And I'm like, what's Reddit? He's like, go download Reddit. So I go download Reddit. I'm like, I'm creating an account. I go on there, I'm like, Bro, it was cray, like, I don't remember like one point something million some views and hundred and I was like, holy cow. So I'm like, let me go through the comment section, which was a mistake. Yeah, yeah. Like, what do you mean? Like, I'm right here. You know what I mean? I'm like, I'm like, that's how you feel. So yeah, so I'd take a breath. I'm like, let me go outside. Let me take a break for a second. Like, cause I don't even know how to respond to Reddit, know how to use Reddit. And so I didn't use Reddit. I didn't even create and I just left left to go. So I'm just now I'm speaking on Facebook. Right. You know, these mu you know, I don't know if I cuss on him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. These motherfuckers, bro, you know, they want to fucking run the story and they wanna talk shit and I'm I'm all in my feelings, getting all butthurt, you know. And then one of my buddies calls me and goes, Dude, do you know what K and Z R is? I'm like, not really. He goes listen, AM radio, Kerr News Radio, it's a really like far right radio station. He goes, You know who Jazz McKay is? I go, Bro, I don't know the radio station. Sure in the hell not he goes, Turn on this dial right now. He goes, Right now. So I turn it on and this motherfucker's talking shit. he's talking shit. Talking shit about me. Yeah, this little punk gang member is mad because and he takes one a picture and he's like, Yeah, look at his Facebook picture. My Facebook picture, I'm like this. He's he's throwing up gang signs in his profile photo. I'm like this mother. So I'm like, you know what? K N Z R phone number. So I call it. And I'm like, dude, I'm like, hey, give me the Jasmine K right now. Well who's this? I was like some motherfucker he's talking shit about on the radio right now. He's like, we can't go through it's a live show. I'm like, I'm like, Well tell Jazz if he wants to talk shit to me, say it to my face, get me on a show. Let's talk about it. Yeah. And they're like, we'll give him a call back. He never called back. wow. Never called back, whatever. But dude, it went on from there, like this place called Tom Moto News. I guess it's based out of England. wow. Did a fucking news story put on YouTube clowning on me and shit. Like it was it's like it was dude, it was it was So what exactly did he say about them? You were talking shit about Hall, right? Yeah, I was like, look, and people are Well, it's a private business. It's a private business. It's a new store. They Google it, they're gonna find it, it is what it is. Yeah. so because it went public, you know what I mean? I know if they actually mentioned the name, but maybe bleep it. Yeah. so maybe we should bleep the channel. I don't know. I'll bleep the name. Yeah, just in case. I don't want to guess. But anyways, yeah, I just I just made a post because people were Well, it's private company. They do what they want. I I agree a hundred percent. Tattoo's not a protective thing. And I never I never said it was. But if I come to you go, hey, is this gonna be a problem? And you tell me yes, cool man, no feelings. But the fact is you tell me it's not because what I think the thought process was is this fucking guy, look at him. He's not gonna pass his test. Just let him get in there, make it feel good. We we we we don't get a V PR issue 'cause he failed anyways. And I think when I passed they were like fuck. Fuck we're gonna go do it, what do we do? And I that's exactly what happened. And from there, bro, I mean, it went on for a long time. I think that was the same shit that happened to me when I applied for corrections. I applied for corrections a few years back and I did the whole fucking all that bullshit, written and all that shit. I scored a ninety five, bro. A ninety five on the written, yeah. And what'd they say? They disqualified me because there was a I had a altercation when I was a freshman year in high school. That's crazy. Yeah, and I'm like, motherfuckers. It's kinda like they know who they want. Yeah, I feel like back then too, like you said twenty fourteen at that time two tattoos are still kind of taboo in the workspace. But then again, honestly, I mean long sleeves would have easily fixed that problem. Well, not for me, but Well yeah, your neck. I didn't know if you had your neck done. yeah, my bad. Yeah, yeah. I've had I had it. Yeah. I mean I could've, I could've turned there the where there's a will, there's a way. But the crazy part about it is when I went down there for that test, a lady came in who was in an a uniform and she had her hands blasted. so I'm like, Well, I'm like, wait wait a minute here, what what's like what's the real situation So that's what and that's kinda what led in we talked about earlier off air, is that's what I like, you know, I'm gonna run for mayor. shit so I ran for mayor. Did you really? Yes, I did. I ran for mayor that Harvey Hall was going up. Not recently, but when Harvey Hall was was leaving or was was run again in 2000 around the same time I think it was 2015 when the mayor race was. I was like, you know what? Fuck it, I'm gonna run. So I went down and took out the papers to run and signed up. Got all the signatures and but I know I'm just gonna say they were scared. They were scared because someone looked at me because the thing of it is I gotta grip a signatures because what I did is like, you know what? I'm gonna go. To people who look like me. And get their stuff. Even though I protect the class, fuck it. I went from a tattoo shop. I went from a tattoo shop, bro, and I got more sick it was crazy. You had to get like I think I I think I said two, I think it was like twenty or thirty or something. I can't remember the number, but bro, I had pages and pages and pages and pages signatures. I was out there for a couple hours. And then again it goes back to the correction thing. And then so And then the next thing was well then at Big Sword California reached out to me. And one of the reporters, I don't remember his name, was on an interview me, but he trashed me on the previous thing. And now you want to reach out to me and try to fuck I told fuck you. I mean I I said no. I said, fuck you. That's right. No. And he writes a piece, the American wouldn't talk to me. I said, Yeah, that's fine, whatever. But then you can't control the narrative anyway. Yeah, but then but then the crazy part about it is now all of a sudden, well, you can't run. Well, why? Because you live in an unincorporated area of Bakersfield. I said, What the f unincorporated? I said, What does that mean? Well, you you live in Bakersfield, but it's an unincorporated area. I said, Well, I have a Bakersfield City zip code. I receive mail that says Bakersfield, California. I pay city taxes. So explain me what this unincorporated area, you know, like come on. Like I just feel like I mean it could have been legality to it, maybe, but I just feel like, you know, they so that I couldn't run it because I live in an unincorporated area. I was like, so what if I move? What if I can add somewhere else? Well, now you know excuse. Yeah, so so it did it didn't work out. So I just let it go. But I I've been on their ass ever since. Everything. That's why I was like, that's what really started the TikTok thing, bro. That's why I was like, you know what? You could silence me by hanging up on me and you can refuse to let me run, but you're not gonna fucking silence me on on on online. It's not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. I mean they can't ever want it but so right now at this point in time, do you feel like you should you still want to run for mayor at some point, or is that like kind of just No, I've been looking at something bigger. like been something Way, way bigger than than than mayor. But I'm trying to get my ducks in order. Okay. Like what really made me ma I'm gonna say this right now, I'm gonna catch heat from everyone, but I give a fuck. We'll clip it. Yeah. So and I don't even care if you clip it, but I'm gonna be honest. So like I even considered you know what? Because Youngblood's come up for re election. Right. Yeah. And so I've been kind of reelection, excuse me. He's exactly misguided. He's retiring me. He's coming up retiring. And so it's like I don't know, man, I was like, if you had a heart attacks, I was gonna run for mayor. What are you gonna say if I run for sheriff? are you gonna do it? I don't know yet. I've been I've been kinda just dipping my toes in there, but but but the point is it's like 'cause my thing is is you could talk about well, what experience you have as a sheriff. Well my question is look what the experience has got us. Young blood's experience, what has that got us? Y'all heard that? Yeah. Yeah, it's fireworks. Yeah, it's probably that's probably young letter out there trying to get me in. They heard you right. They're hearing I've been out of the county for a couple years. I've only been back for three years. Three years. But I've I mean, I I know for sure the sheriffs were always known as hard asses. You know, like they're hard. But the C C W thing, I mean, I I I do believe in the right to carry. So I mean, but it's a hundred per a hundred percent. I feel like that's a good thing 'cause a lot of sheriffs don't want to. A lot of sheriffs make it difficult. It's very rare when you see a sheriff that is like willing willingly allowing you to not make it a pain in the ass to get a C C but I think that's like based on county and based on Yeah. Yeah, but the sheriff, you know what I mean? The the sheriff's the one that has the final say in in all that. 'Cause what I didn't know is I lived in Taft for a while. And so what I didn't know is if you lived in the city of Taft, you didn't have to go to Sheriff's Department. You could go to the Taft City Police and get it through the city. It depends on where You so 'cause I technically lived in the county and tap, but the shit but they were like if you lived in the city, you could go to the state the city service department. But the crazy part about it is like we have some really good officers in town. I work with like the for the the like the Bakesville police department. I know each department has their own thing, dude. But I can speak on a few guys that I actually work with that's part of the ORC team. Solid group of guys, dude. Solid group of guys. You know, I just but I just think, you know, there's there's a lot of things about you know, I love you know I'm from Bakersfield, of I'm proud to be of Bakerville, but there's a lot of stuff within our county and Baker's has a history. Of corruption. It just does. Especially the current county sheriffs. It just does. I mean, if you even go back to the modern day witch hunt, Edge Eagles, you want to go back that far. I mean, you know, it's got a history of just absolute corruption. And it's just I don't know, man. I just feel like I think it everywhere's corrupted, bro. Just some places know how to hide it better than others. Yeah. Some other some places just don't give a fuck. And we're one of those counties that just don't give a fuck. It's kinda like Mexico, bro. It is. Yeah, Mexico's corruption, but everybody knows. Fuck. But everybody knows. Yeah, and they don't even try to hide it. Why? When you're in charge of everything, government officials don't give a fuck over there because there's no re there's no reason to try to hide it. When you're in charge of everything, who gives a fuck? And like here, they try to hide it, and even when they get you know they get called out, they don't even give a fuck. It's just like all right, yeah, so I apologize. That's it. But nothing happens, bro. That's that's one thing I hate. Nothing happens to the elites. So in in order for you to become sheriff, you don't have to like law law enforcement? No, because it's an elected official. You're an elected official. So you're not a flying. So you could be like a regular Joe and you could you absolutely. You don't have to have yeah, 'cause it's a you're an elected position. There you go. Anybody that wants to be a sheriff, you gotta be a kid. It's an elected position. You're gonna have to go against this guy, go look with that. Yep. It's crazy. That's cool, man. Yeah, it's gonna be a difficult race. So what do you do right now for a living? Huh? What do you do for a living? I work in the Lost Provincial Asset Protection. That yeah, that that's the video that got us sorry, that's the video that we posted up right about homeless people and you reached out to us. I don't remember what video it was. I think I just searched we were talking about How the homeless people here aren't really from here anymore? yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it was a video. Yeah, you what? I think it was, man, because I was actually clicked just like on the local Bakersfield. Yeah. So is it like a hashtag thing or how do we No, so you could you know, if you search on there, you could search local. So there's like your f FYP and then you have like the people you follow, there's a local tab. So everyone who everyone who posts videos, it puts like Bakersfield as their location. That's all that is. I'm not too familiar with the tic tac. Yeah, so you can go on there and find other other people. I just like hashtag. Yeah, on your location. No, on your loc on your location. Whenever we upload stuff on location, just put BakerShield. I I did that to one of the videos. On TikTok? No, on on on Instagram. no, he don't have an Instagram. no, I d I I don't I'd have to log into it. I d I haven't been in so long. I don't it's just but dude, well you see some of my TikTok. TikTok keeps me soap broke. Yeah, yeah. So between the everything that's keeps me busy. Yeah. So we can so you came across us when you were going you were searching locally just local stuff. And that was a topic that obviously you are familiar with because being in asset protection, you deal with various different people and there's a lot like I s we said before in a previous episode, there is a big transient epidemic in Bakersfield. Yeah. Yeah there is man. And it and it's kind of interesting when you got talking about like you LA ships them here. It's actually it's actually it goes deeper than that. So there's actually states Who've openly admitted to doing this? Red states like Florida and Texas, where they'll Here, here's a hundred bucks, go to California, they have tons of resources, they'll take care of you. It's gonna be great. And they ship them. well, Ron DeSanta. I that they openly have have said like they've done it. Yeah. Like, look when they sent all the Martha's Vineyard. all they have the undocumented people, they've you round them undocument people up and say, Look, you know, actually they were trying to say that it could have been a form of human trafficking because they courteous have been lied to them. To get them to go across state lines and they dropped off at Martha's Vineyard and said, You're gonna have when you get there, you're gonna have resources, they're gonna take you in, you got a place to stay. And they got dropped off and then there was nothing. There's nowhere for them to go. That's crazy, bro. It was just here you go. Yeah, here you go. Here's your bus together. You're like foreign to this fucking city and they just throw you out there. Whatever little money they gave they probably went out. Which I in I've waste. I feel like in a way too, they're they're not really lying because in LA they do try to do a lot of stuff, but but Martha's Vineyard. I mean, what do you got at Martha's Vineyard? I you jump out the middle of Martha's Vineyard, but what they did is they purposely did that 'cause I think it was Nancy Ploscher, someone's house was in that area. like I want them to do that. And I'm gonna l but the problem was is they lied to them under false pretenses to send them there. Was that the whole thing where they sent them as like a political middle finger? Yeah, was that what the whole thing where you want open borders, or why don't you open the gates to your house and let all these people in? Exactly. That was it, right? Yeah, man. Something like that. Yeah. And that's the crazy thing, the way I look. I mean, I got look, boots on, you know, area. And it's crazy because like it's politically, I'm not I don't agree with the game. You I I'm on well, you see my TikTok. I'm very vocal about it. You know, I'm not I'm tired because I when it first started out, right, it was always about well, try to reach out the end of the aisle. I'm over that shit. I've tried it so many fucking times. Yeah. At what point at what point do you go, okay, look, you're not gonna get changed by playing by a set of rules that someone else is not playing by? Exactly. At what point? So n if people say, you're not the you know what, call me the fucking extreme, intolerant, whatever you want to call I'm sick of it. I'm j I'm just sick of it. I'm I it's just at what point? You know, at what point does you get on there and what what what I don't understand is the moment he got on national TV and made fun of a disabled reporter, not because of the piece that he wrote, because of his disability. We're talking about Trump, right? Yeah. When he started It's funny how you even knew I didn't even mention names. See what maybe you have to mention the dude's name and he it's just crazy. Yeah, everybody everybody knows all the scumbaggy shit that he's done. You know, fun fact though, I used to roll with that motherfucker. Yeah. After his like first term, I was like, fuck yeah, this guy's a shit. Yeah. And then he got came back in office, bro. Well I think the problem is, bro, is he sold hard, bro. He's he's an entertainer. He is. Yeah. No, not in a racist, this, but I think what happened was people were desperate and he sold them a dream that he was never gonna give them. Mm-hmm. Economy's But I feel a lot of people do that though. A lot of the politicians do that. No, no, they no one's more of being a politician. They do. They do shit that you're not gonna give But when you're this negligent, I'm gonna end the war on day one with Ukraine and Russia. Yeah, bro. Come on, bro. Yeah, give give me six months. Yeah, but flat out and you know, I'm gonna lower gas prices, I'm gonna lower food, I'm gonna lower energy. Gas prices is up, energy is up, the straight of Hamoos is closed. And most people think of Straight Hamoos, they think well it it's oil. That's true. But what else goes to the Strait of Hamous A good portion of it, I think it's like twenty percent of the world of the product is fertilizer. wow. So farmers. So that's another there's another group that got alienated by that administration. Farmers. Farmers got fucked over royally. There was something that happened recently. Cattle food farmers and cattle ranchers. Yeah. So what happened was is typically the way it works is what Trump is doing is he's importing beef, not charging the tariff fee on there, and then drop it twenty percent below market value. So that screws ranchers because The beef's coming over cheaper. But the issue with that is budget's already being recalled. Yeah. They're like thirty thousand. Yeah. It's a large exact number, but it's it's it's crazy. It it's ridiculous. What were they being recalled? Some chemical, right, that they had in them? I I I just thought it was contaminated on some level. I think yeah, Argentina. I think it was Argentina. That's what I keep hearing. I don't know if it's true, but Yeah, that's I think that's the that's the main area that I've I guess whether or not Hintina they're allowed to put some type of chemical that's been banned over here for I don't know how There might be a lot of microplastics in it, that's why. I there's a lot of food being there's a lot of food being recalled right now. yeah. Everything, bro. Someone something else just got recalled. What was it? And there it was eggs. First started with the nuts, right? Yeah, the the lettuce, then it was the meat, then it was fucking what was it? You know what's so sad? There's so much of it, I can't remember everything else being recalled. Dude, there's there was one more thing that someone had said too like great, now it's not just food. It's not just food. Something else just got recalled. I'm pretty sure it was I mean look who's in charge of it. Yeah, well the USDA is not the way it was before, if it even still exists, because I th maybe that got shut down too. I don't know. There's been so much shit that's been shut down or repurposed or defunded that the i the Ivine Celine bags. There you go. no shit. Yeah, and they're c they're contaminated with fiberglass. Yeah. Like what the f Look, but look who you got. I mean, come on, bro. You got a car. You got you got an a legend. Okay. But I I don't really keep up with politics that heavy, but is is he such a bad guy? Well, here's the problem. Okay, let me give you an example. He's a Kennedy. But but but imagine this. Imagine you're a Kennedy, right? Let give you an example. Imagine you're a Kennedy, right? And you have, let's say, you have a mechanic shop. Okay. You've never made a mechanic, but I'm gonna make you the head mechanic of my shop. Okay. And I'm gonna tell you to go in there and make sure everything's running smoothly. And you're in charge of going there to know what you're looking for to make sure everything's getting done properly. I'm gonna be YouTube and a lot of shit. Right. So RFK Jr., head of health and human services, right? Not a doctor, doesn't have any type of medical degree, has no medical experience, never worked in the hospital. Yeah, he's a kennedy, but but he's calling out a lot of shit though. But he's also cutting some. So for example, his staff, I think it was staff of the budget, it was cut drastically, and he's cut a quote for example, measles, right? Yeah, huge outbreak right now. He's anti-vaxx. He says measles are the vaxx is causing autism. So he he's the main proponent behind that. He did a study. Are they? He did a study. He did a study saying that Tylenol, right? Tylenol is a cause of autism. So if women take tylenol while pregnant. They do tell you not to take tylenol. My wife's a nurse and she was very like strict on not taking certain medications. No, absolutely. But the problem is other prostrene doctors around the world are like there's no conclusion evidence that it causes autism. Like there's no direct correlation. Sure, cause it could sometimes yeah, it could, but I mean, you take Todd, you know, my wife took baby Tylenol when she was pregnant. But to say that it's directly the cause of autism is crazy. Without any without any facts of Because he said it wasn't possibly. No, he concluded that that's the cause of if you take Tylenol while pregnant, it increases the cause of autism by like an astronomical amount. Well does it? It might. There's no evidence to say. It might. It might. It could, but not Not definitely. Yeah. And to release an article like that as a head of human services and you tell people, look, this is what's causing it. It's dangerous. It's it really though, it's just Tylenol. Don't take the fucking Tylenol. Don't no nophine. What else? It's not going to chemical. I don't know what else. I don't know. Well the a centimeth. My wife's metaphine. There She's in a watch and talk shit shit. But anyways, yeah, that that one That's just a a pain reliever. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken. It is. So but the other stuff that it has in it, well yeah, you know. Yeah. And then also with our FDA too, like the the expiration dates on food, they're not even real expiration days. They're like suggestions. Suggestions. So like well it's different. If you say use by date, yeah there's a difference between use by date and expiration date. For me, any if I get close to that date at all, I'm throwing it in the trash, bro. Yeah. I'm throwing it away. I feel like most people do. Yeah. Because a use by date just means it It won't taste as great or it won't be as best quality. It's still good. But it's still good. Yeah. I can, bro. If I see the day right, dude, if it's like the day before unless I'm starving or something, I'll I'll trash it. But I don't I don't care. But to till now, I I'm still poor, but I grew up being poorer, so I would have to do a smell test, bro, if it smells good. Yeah, I guess fucking eggs. You know, which spoil milk that fucking Am I the only am I the only one? But specifically with things like milk and other items, like when you see the date and it says best by August twenty third. It's August twenty third. You open it up, do the smell test, just like you said. No, I spill it. You you smell it and it's like your brain thinks. Yeah, yeah. It doesn't necessarily mean that it is, but it thinks like because you saw the date and you already expected it to be bad. no, no, no, no, no, no. This is bad. This is bad. You just and you just we were so broke. My mom told us to smell that shit. I feel like sometimes when you smell though and you're like you're looking at the day like Louisa, you're like you smell and you're like You know what's even crazier than that is we l we're fortunate to live in a country where we can do that. Yeah. You know what I mean? We have like, okay, you what? I'm just go to the store and buy another gallon of milk. Why ch why test it? Why why even waste I remember when I lived in Mexico with a gallon. When I lived in Mexico we had fucking powder milk we had to put in water. Yeah. And it's theory. Yeah. Powder milk. Powder milk. Yeah, bro. How's that taste? I don't know. Actually in Mexico, you'd be surprised how many stuff in Mexico is actually like healthier than the American stuff. Although I believe it. Hey, even the even most of my boots, I I they're they're I give them. Mexico? They're more comfortable. Yeah, they are. They're more comfortable. I don't know how true this is, but I I heard in the past that supposedly in Canada they don't even get their in parts of Canada I think they don't even get their milk in bottles. Not even glass bottles, like it's in bags. I've seen that on TikTok. I've seen some shit out on TikTok. I don't know how true it but maybe micro plastics. No? If it's already sitting in a bag, you got microplastics already, big dog. What about straight out of the fucking cow's titties? That's different. What if the bad man? I see that shit all the time. Well they do that they do that with the drink you drink alcohol by any chance? Yeah. You ever have what is it called with the the chocolate milk and the goat milk? fucking Kawila? No no slide, I don't know. No, it was I know someone here knows it. pajaretes, those are pajaretes. You ever know what pajetes? Mm-hmm. So you go you go to like a little it's illegal. But you go to you go to this little if you if you have a connect, they'll take you to a a little area here in town. Here in town. Or or the outside. We should go the outside. They basically get you a a like a fresh cup, they put like chocolate milk powder and then they'll squeeze the the fresh like straight out of yeah. Like straight out. Straight out of no filter, just straight in there and then they give you a shot of alcohol. Why is it illegal? What supposed makes it illegal? I guess straight out of And there's no sanitation? Yeah. okay, so the drink itself is made in a proper environment. That's what it would be about. Okay, that's what I Like it's like alcohol. So Mexicans to those Mexicans is just like it's banned here, so you know. Because gold milk is healthier. What the fuck? I don't think bulls make milk. You might you might want to check your ranch. If you got bottles of bull milk in your house, you might want to go through and just you know pour out. That one they will smell sour. All right. So question. I was always like growing up, bro. I always wanted to do what you did. Yeah. Like, that's fucking dope. You know, you get to watch people. Is it really that fun? Is it fun? People watching? Yeah, you get yeah, people watching and kind of like I would say starting out, you okay. I've been doing it for a long time. Really long time. And I would say it it is, but it's more than just people watching. I think it's the misconception, too. Like there's a lot behind the scenes for as you do internal stuff. I do police reports, I'm constantly in court. I mean it's just yeah, yeah. I like this month I have like five or six subpoenas. I got that. So you're like one of the lead dudes, no? 'Cause we have a we have a buddy that does the same thing, but he does it for Vallarta supermarkets. I was at Vallata for a but I couldn't do it anymore. you probably know. You probably know big this is years ago. Yeah, he's been there for years. Yeah, all of Right now he's like the main dude, but I think primarily he was on South H. Big Dude. Like big big I literally did it for like a week over there. That's the reason why I did it for some. His name his name's Joseph. Joseph? You can't miss him, bro. He's like is he the main supervisor? Yeah, he's not one out. Back then it was some other Mexican dude. He used to always wear A hat. I don't know, man. I I tried he was a long time ago. We're talking years. Yeah, back then I think it was some dude with like kinda like a little coma inherit a little Well the language barrier was too much I couldn't do because Varanta back then was crazy. They made you call like At least back then. Everything Spanish. You made you call over a a tall can of beer. Yep. Everything. You call PD and they get angry. They'd get mad about that. Bro, P's like, I'm responding for a tall can of beer. The language and the language barrier was too much because I'm stopping people. You know, I like to talk to you and try to do that way. But if there's a language barrier, you can't, yeah, yeah. I'm like, no, you know what I no, I get it. And it's just it was a disaster. I was look, man, I can't do it. That's a language barrier. I just can't I can't do it. Because it's gonna either gonna get me hurt or gonna get someone else hurt. I just yeah, because I th think he's been doing this since what with part Fuck, we got hired back in twenty fourteen. Yeah, so he's been there since like probably twelve, eleven. Eleven or twelve. He's the one that got us hired. Yeah, he's the one that got us hired. He actually got fired for stealing shit. Shut up. Damn, last year. Yeah, he got fired for stealing shit. It's not like he stole money. He stole a piece of bread and something to drink. So it's like, come on. You know what's crazy is Wal Walmart did Walmart did a lady dirty like that. Technically I didn't get fired though. When they call me into the office, they just told me to voluntarily resign. I was like perfect. You know what's crazy though? That they did you a solid. Most companies will let you continue to do it. Yeah. So they can build enough to really they did lay at that Walmart. She was getting a sandwich and a and a and I think it was soda every day for lunch. And they let her do it for like the only one? For like a two years or whatever. To charge her with some children. I was about to retire. No, they attacked her with that, bro. yeah. She yeah, yeah, bro. They got it for that. Let me find out it was what's that that one lady that retired? I can't remember what state it was though, but finding out? Yes, I find out that was her Hey hoy hopefully Gail Gail Gail something, right? Gail Yeah, she did. A simple video, bro. That probably meant the world to her to us. It's just like Yeah. Is it fun? It's fun and it's scary at the same time. And it can be, bro, I've been so bro, it's crazy. I've so you say scary. I'm guessing they pulled down weapons line? dude, that's yeah, it's psychic. I've been pepper sprayed. Damn. I've I've had Bolt cutter swung at me. I've River Rocks throw through the the door at me. I've had guns. I'll tell you one one I'll we'll talk about this. Yeah. So this is a day before Thanksgiving in 2024? Recently. Twenty-five, twenty-four, maybe twenty-three. It's at the last couple years. It's at the one of the locations here in town. And the day before Thanksgiving, the company typically likes to do something for the for the employees, cook them a meal. You know, just something nice. So out behind the store, we were cooking a meal and I was just sitting there and it was cold. It was pretty cool. I over and there's this guy. We there's pallets out back stacked up at the time. It was bags of I can't remember what it was up, but there was someone in between the pallets had a sweatshirt on. Like all just sitting there. I'm like, fuck, dude's cold, homeless going through it, hungry. Let me let me tell you, give me a plate. I'm gonna go give this guy a plate, you know what I mean? Offer him something to eat, you know, 'cause I was feeling bad for dude. Yeah, he was down. So I I go there, I Hey man, I want he stands up. I'll never forget this. He stands up, he has a black hoodie on, black bandana, black gloves, black pants, pulls out a gun out of his out of his his jacket pocket right here. I'm probably from me to you. And I stopped. He's like, What's up? I'm like, nothing, man. I was I'll just offer you some food. I was like, here I'll You can still have it? We're good. Like I was just trying to he's all we're we cool? I'm like, yeah man, we cool. He's all we ain't got no problem. Like, nah man, no problem, dude. The plate's still yours, bro. You can take it. I just gotta offer you some food. He just stares and looks at me for a second. I'm like, bro. I'm like, what do I do? Damn. I can't run. Yeah. You're gonna outrun a bullet. No, I ain't Spider Man. So I'm just sitting there, I'm like, bro, you can have the food. He's like, So we're cool. I go, yeah, bro, we we cool, we good. He puts it back in his sweatshirt pocket, turns around, just walks off like nothing happened. Left the plate, left the plate and everything. Just walked just walked off. Ungrateful. Just walked off. But I'm assuming he just hit a lick or something and was hiding. Yeah, probably. I think that's what he was doing. So you got a black bandana, black hoodie, black gloves. He was either gonna rob somebody or he already And he walks across the street into the next parking lot, dude, just like he's fucking just, you know, nothing. And slowly just walks off in the distance. Yeah, that's crazy. So you've been pepper sprayed, you said? dude. More times I cut on my hands and Yeah, I well we'll talk the same with the same location. This guy comes in and southwest, northwest, east side. by the area of the Valley Plaza. Okay. Say that area over there to the southwest. Ming Avenue area. Continue with your story. Continue with your story. no. At the time, no, no, it wasn't Walmart. It's my current company, so I don't wanna I wanna say right now. But yeah, yeah. We'll ble we'll blip it out that way. But so this guy comes in, I know he's a repeat offender. I already know he's a repeat offender. He's like that was mine. No, it's with my name already. And I know he I know he usually runs out the burn C exit, right? So I get behind there and We go out, he goes out the emergency exit, and I stop, you know. Hey, we pulls that pepper spray and he hits me with the pepper spray. And I'm like So I'm like, hey, ooh. He goes to pepper spray me again, but he's so scared and nervous, he pepper sprays himself. The bottle's backwards. The bottle's backwards. Yeah, yeah. And so he's like, Wait, did he fumble the bottle and drop it and then have to pick it back? Yes, sir. So he's going out the emergency exit with the cart and he sprays me, and I'm like, You I think you want, so he ain't perfectly one time. Yeah, so but think I don't know if you see him again, so I'm like, like, hey, like you probably swatted it. Yeah. Yeah. And so he sprays himself again. Well, at this time, someone in the store is already called PD. So P D arrives, he takes off running through the store, just into the store? Yeah, pepper spray, you because he's disoriented. He makes out the exit. As he goes out the exit, he bups into a BPD officer. BAM Boom. He's like BAM. Click, click. That was it. That was a wrap. And and what happens to that? Like how much money did Do you remember how much money he how much stuff he Yeah, well, because it was a two eleven, so it doesn't matter if it was five bucks, twenty bucks, thirty bucks, commit a felony. He's guessing it was already trespassed, right? yeah. Yeah, but he used fear fear of force to commit a you know, to commit a theft. So robbery. So he was charged with two eleven. All so for example, let's say I walk into I walk into a store, they catch me stealing. First time. What happens? What happens to me? Let's say it's a small amount or something like twenty dollars eight thousand dollars. I wanna tell you twenty bucks. That's hard to that's hard to say. The reason why I say it's hard to say, it depends on the location, the asset protection specialist, and the and the retail store. If you walk in let's give example, you walk into my place of employment where I'm working, right? Right. And you steal what? What do you what are you taking? let's say fabuloso. Nah, not a fabuloso. So fabuloso. Nah. screwdrivers. just for this, 80 inch TV. No my miss. Wait wait, they they don't wear shit out days, bro. They were like seven hundred bucks. That's that's seven hundred bucks. Well assuming that they're they're unlocked and not MPS. Okay, let's just let's roll with that stuff. So you an eighty inch TV, you walk out, I'm stopping you. You're not disrespectful to me. Right. If you're not cussing at me, you're not screaming at me, you're like, look, all right, bro, cool, done, whatever. You you won't but you refuse to give me your ID, you refuse to cooperate, I'm taking your picture, I'll say out to the company, and I and I get the and I get the merchandise back. I'm gonna take your picture, send it out, I'm gonna write the report, and that's where I'm gonna leave it for now. Okay. Because I don't have anything on you, anyways. And if the law if now if you got away with the loss, it would be different. Now I'm file on PD, now I'm doing the report. So it really just depends on there's a loss or no loss. Because and then you gotta stop the time. I stop you, right? Let's say I stop you at the A TV. I'm doing the report. I'm but I've got the loss back. I'm doing the report, I'm setting everything up. During that time, I got six other people running out of merchandise. So I've got the loss back already. So I'll get your ID. If I have your ID, we'll send you on your way. If you're not in our system later, you've never been caught before, you don't you know, I if I contact law enforcement and you don't have any more it just it is what it is. I might I might file it all depends on how respectful you are. Okay. I get it in this day and age. Shit's rough. I understand. I understand. But so as long as you're respectful me, you don't try to attack me and we have a mutual respect, I'm gonna write I'm gonna write it up, send you on the way, put you in our system and just let people watch out for you. Cool. Has there ever been an instance where you stop somebody, but you could tell this guy is just like the decoy in reality they're gonna take out some bigger shit. So it yeah, so where it was coordinated? 100%. It's to the point where just recently they come in with walkie talkies. Wow. Hey, he's over here. Follow me to this other store. Go ahead, you're good. Yeah, yeah, dude. Damn. CB radios. They got to the point where I've seen you guys do what a pregnant okay. It's crazy. They've used tools too, like a I've had females use pregnancy baskets. So what they have is a paper mache belly that makes them look like they're pregnant, and the side of it opens. So you walk to the store. Wow. One time, so I'm reviewing camera for something else. Right. I see this lady walk, I'm like, this lady's pregnant, whatever. And then I just see her grab something and she pulls it and it's gone. I'm like, I told my, I say, hey, come in Yeah, fucking Chris Angel stuff. Let me let me rewrite this. I'm like, I slow it down, I'm like. What the fuck? I said, I gotta see this shit on the floor. I gotta see this sh so I go out there and I'm watching, and sure enough, bro, she's opened up and she's shoving merchandise. The merchandise is sitting between her stomach and this and there's a strap right here. So she's just her pregnant billy's merchandise. Damn. Damn. What did she say? Did I freak your mind? Well, where I stopped her, it's like Stop, I'm a pregnant said, You're not pregnant. She goes, Yeah, you're pregnant. I No, you're not I grab the thing and I pull it and start falling out. Damn. I'm like, Let me guess your baby, right? Your baby. Yeah. It's crazy bro. Okay, so I'm guessing now that you're more experienced and you are more I wanna say you're more chill now than where where you were like starting out, right? When you were starting out, I'm guessing you were trying to get everybody. Yeah, because as I I've seen I've I first started getting LP and it was two thousand LP loss prevention. Yeah, two thousand ten is when I first ended, two thousand eleven. And the atmosphere's changed. It's it's with the whole, you know, requirement for food stamps going different and they to get food stamps and stuff. Believe it or not, that makes it more dangerous for my job because they've they made the requirements work requirements now. Right. Well, you got the homeless people that ain't got no job. Yeah. But they're still gonna eat. Yeah. And they they ain't got food stamps, they're gonna get they're gonna get they're gonna get money for their food somehow. But even though they're homeless, they still don't qualify for food. They have to have work hours or cut or work hours or volunteer hours. Eighty hours a month. Even though they're homeless. Even though they're homeless. So what? So if I if I can go ahead and like just make an assumption based on what you're saying right now, the issue has gotten worse for you and where you work because people who are homeless, they're not able to get access to food stamps. So that makes it more likely that they're gonna be more desperate. That means they're gonna go ahead and be stealing more. And let's face it, a homeless person is homeless because of either choice or because They can't work because of some addiction or something. So they're not going to go out of their way to get a job to go ahead and meet those requirements. So it actually screws them over more because, well, now you don't have any way to feed yourself. Now your life has literally become more complicated and you're more desperate. It's a vicious cycle. It's called the desperation theory. You know what I mean? But if if you do that, you put anyone out of situations. If I strip everything from you and tell you it's you you don't have anything and I tell you your kid's starving, you normally are a good person probably wouldn't go out and steal food. Yeah. But if you have no choice, you're gonna go do it. Yeah. And not saying it's not by their own doing, but I would say ninety-five or even more percent of people that I deal with are homeless, they're addicts, or they have severe mental health issues. Yeah. Now you get ORC crews that'll come through state to state and they're sophisticated and they come in through and they ORC? Organized retail crime. Okay. So they're like crews that specifically do this. Yes, they that for a living. That that's the that's their living. So have you ever have you ever like the what do they call them? The Yeah, yeah, basically. Yeah, I mean in a in a way without being Like that. But yeah. Well, there's people no, but you know, it's kinda derogatory. Yeah. Yeah. Well you're you're associating them with being thieves. So that's like yeah, being lazy. So but anyways, yeah, have you ever do you have you ever had like a a favorite thief that like it took you so long to catch his ass even though you knew he was always around crazy it not so much of 'cause it took hard to get him, but every time he came in, that's the happiest dude. He's always drunk. He's always happy. Hey nephew. you got me this time. Nephew, he's black. I'm I'm I'm I'm the two Am I? Am I lying? He cracks the case. I am I am anything, but I am not a liar. No, no, you're not say you're a liar. But yeah, he always come in, man. He was he's cool. He jokes and laughs. I catch you, I'm gonna get you next time. Okay. Alright. We'll see. We'll see. But I will give it to him. He he goes bigger go home. You know them husky toolkits, he'll come in trying four or five loads in a car, an AC, Damn. And some street towers he goes to, I'm not gonna mention, he gets away with it because for lack of terms, their LP suck. And he'll get away with it. Damn. Damn. He'll get away with it. Well man, I've been in so many crazy scenarios. I've it's crazy, man. I've dude. We've had Bulk cut, I mean everything I can think of, but both cutswami, river rocks don't do glass. R River Rocks? So heavy. Mm-hmm. Yeah, dude. I I actually have a question. Yes, sir. Was there ever a case where you caught somebody? You had to go through the process of contacting VPD and they were gonna get arrested and all that stuff. But they like tell you like what issues they're having and you just feel bad for them, or that did you ever pity anybody that you caught? He seems like a pretty reasonable. Yeah, actually actually I have. It was on the Roseville side of town and I didn't even make it to PD, bro, because it it it put a knot in my stomach and I couldn't even I could dude, I'm getting choked up for thinking about this, bro. So I got this lady comes in and and if you get laundry soap and dish soap and stuff like that, you're not going to bro. Unless you got money. Yeah. you're not going to like any store like that. You're gonna go to like a Walmart or somewhere like You're not gonna go to a a hardware store. And so But anyways, this lady comes into one of the locations I'm at at the time. one of the employers I'm at, and she goes in there and she's getting she's getting laundry soap, she's getting she's getting fabric softener, she's getting just stuff to clean, like house and and stuff like that. So I catch her, we bring her to the back, she comes back with me and she just starts crying. And I'm like, hey, it's okay, and she's like, No, you don't understand, you know. son starts his first day of school tomorrow. We I just gotta have an abusive relationship with my my my ex husband and we finally got our own place. He doesn't have anything to wash clothes with. He doesn't have you know doesn't have anything and I'm like man I'm a I'm a I'm a dad dude. And so I was like she goes now I'm gonna go to jail I said you're not going to jail. So you're not going to jail. I said you know I get it you did what you did. I said but I'm not gonna let you take stolen merchandise to your kid. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna buy it for you. good shit and so I went and bought her laundry soap, dish soap stuff like stuff like that we've I even went on a break and went to the retailer next store bought a backpack pencils pens but bro it just it just it just hurt it just like it just like what what what do I what am I gonna do? Am I gonna make this lady's life even harder? Yeah she's just trying to do stuff for her and her kid that that that's good that you that you did that. I mean I feel like nowadays this is one of my problems I have with with PD and I don't want to say I'm not a fucking anti cop because I really am But I feel that nowadays they try to they don't give you any breaks. Yeah. I feel like a lot of them just go by the book. Yeah. Even the sheriffs they'll catches what we stomp it out. Yeah. Throw it out, stomp it out. You know, shit like that. Nowadays I feel like they don't or there's a trash can just get rid of the Yeah, because back then too, I think what what the thing was too they they didn't want to do with the paperwork. Yeah. So it's like bro, like I'm I'm I'm really gonna spend three hours Over time because I want to write to her for a quarter hour. Yeah, quarter hours. Stop that shit out, bro. Yeah. And and that's why I got friends who work at grocery stores doing LP. That's why I'll never work at a grocery store. Because when they come into my store, like I used to during the pandemic, I used to carry kits with me. And you you brought this up, I don't want to sit my two at my own horns. I hate even talk about this, you on live or whatever. That's why I wanna talk about all my my social media accounts. I just do it because it's I just do it. But during the during the pandemic, 'cause we like if people come in and I kiss them still on a soda or candy bar, hey listen, don't make it a habit. But Get the fuck out. That's all me today. It's all me today. Go ahead and go. You what I Just you can take it. You already opened it. I used to during the pandemic, I try to carry little balls of hand sanitizer and like and like gloves and stuff. So when I catch someone, you know, hey bro, here, take some hand sanitizer, take a water, take something being away, but you know what I mean? And yeah. So I kind of built a rapport with a lot of of the homeless community in the areas that do steal, they'll watch out for my cars, they'll hit me up, they'll come in and be like, one time this was man, this goes back to This is another one, man. Bam. there's there was this guy. I used to have to go in this retailer at work like six in the morning because he'd always come in and hit early. Early. And I'm like, mother, at this time I live out of Bakersville. I drive into Bakersfield for work. I'm like, I get up at fucking four o'clock, leave by five to get to kiss this motherfucker, bro. I shouldn't even have to be going in this early. And so one day I'm in town with my wife. We're driving past the Walmart, right there, Rose of Highway. In the parking lot and I see him come out with a backpack full. I'm already irritated. I'm like, I'm I was like, you know what? I know he's got shit in there. So I fucking grab him. I do I put the at the park right in the middle, you in front of Walmart. What's what we do? I like, hold right here, babe, I get on chasing, he's on the bike. And so I go up on the grass and I jump. Boom! We hit the ground, bam, and baby flow starts flying out everywhere. Damn. He was still a baby floor and selling it on offer up or whatever. So I'm like, so I'm wrestling with this dude. I'm like, fucking wrestling with her. My wife's What's going on? And this Big old corn fed cowboy runs up. Water takes off his belt and just hog ties him. I'm like, boy, I was gassed already. I have my elbows are torn up. And so he ends up, cops come, gets arrested. I I don't hear for him like six, eight months. It was like a year and a half later. I'm at a different location. And they call me like, hey, it's this guy's here to speak to you. And I look at him like, here we go. What kind of bullshit are we about to get into now? So I walk up and I see me. He looks clean. He looks good. no. I'm like, okay. He goes, hey man, how you doing? I go, I'm good. How are you? And he goes, I just want to tell you thank you. And I'm like, for what? He goes, That day I got caught when I went to court, my first court date, they I told him I wanted help. And he got sent to a rehab in Arizona and got clean. that's at the rehab. And when he came back in the store that day, he was working in the oil fields. Damn. Damn. He had a shit back together. And he was like, Man, if it wasn't for you, he goes, I probably would have died. He was addicted to opiates. it's all and so it's just like man stuff like that, like as much as I deal with bullshit, a few things like that, it's like okay, cool, man, like at least one. Yeah, at least one out of the right now that you're talking about how how you would give the homeless people like sanitizer and all that and they'll start licking out for you. Kind of reminds me when I don't remember this shit. I was a kid, right? When we lived in San Diego, my policies still crack because that was a popular drug back then, right? And I remember my mom would tell me that He would always make barbecues. Crystal meth, not crack. No, it was crack. It was crack cocaine. Crack cocaine. Yeah. How the fuck are you gonna tell me? So yeah, that's what he would do. He would do he would tell crack, but I guess he would have like mini block parties where he would just feed everybody in the fucking neighborhood. It came to a point where He would feed them and we we were allowed to be outside because they will watch us like local crackheads will keep eyes on us to make sure nobody fucked with us. So but your dad basically was Nino Brown from New Jack City. I don't know who the fuck turkeys. Wow, you gotta watch you gotta watch New Jack City. Yeah, Chris Rock plays crackhead in that movie. no shit. But yeah, they were literally crackheads. Yeah, that's cool, man. Is that it's still a term crackhead? That's not a term no more. Right? It's just that we're old school. That's what we say cracking. I'm sure I hear people say I don't know. I I mean I don't know. Yeah, it's funny too that I I didn't I wasn't aware that you were in lost prevention, but we're we pretty crafty back in the day when it came to stealing. they were crafty. Now you should see the stuff, man. That's stuff I come across. we were we were slick back then. We were we were sure they knew but they just couldn't prove it. Yeah, they couldn't prove it. Yeah, right? I've I've so I just kinda wanna give away our secret, but like he said by the No, I'm saying by now I like he said they probably did it. Okay, so back then we used to have a method where we used to carry razors. So to get into packages, we would like walk around or while we slice it open without the camera really noticing, and then we'll like discreetly slide the package out the way, but we already have the thing in our hands. dude, they these fools will never these fools will come in, bro, and and do that with our own razors and then they'll go to outside and then they'll go in the outside garden and drop the product and kick it underneath the gate. And act like they're still looking at the product and sat down and walk out to go get it after seat the gate. You ever catch somebody doing it and you go out to the gate and freaking get that before they do, and you're just standing there with it? Dude. So we do shenanigans all the time. Me and my me and my one of my people, we do shenanigans all the time. We have to have one time. You have to, right? Because I'm gonna go at the back of the emergency exit, I'm gonna go out there and I'm gonna stand around the corner. I always had a video, I'm gonna stand around the corner and he goes, Grandma Jaban and film on the phone. dude, we've had people We don't have people fall over, like people ever we we it's fun. Okay. So so what's the rule? are you allowed to put hands on them? That depends on the company. it's all so this is the misconception. Most people say, well, it's 'cause California you can't touch them. Yes, yes, yes, yes. That's not true. The state of you can there's nothing in the state of California's law that says you can't touch them. You're allowed to police your own environment and you can. You can still use handcuffs. There's for instance, grocery stores, and I can say this I don't work there. Winco. Winco's hands on. Yeah, I think we're Yeah, but certain companies don't want the liability. Exactly. Yeah. That's what it is. Let's put it this way. I'll give you an example. There's a company right now. I know this for 100% fact. I'm not going to say why or how, but I know this. There's a company that literally will go, okay, we're going to make a hundred billion dollars this year. Okay. Whatever the minute number's going to be. We're going to say that there's going to be $30 billion of theft. So we're going to take $30 billion out of our profit and set that aside because we know that's going to be we're going to lose that because of theft. Okay. They're literally would rather lose that to theft than take a chance of tarsaining their image because someone gets beat up or someone gets hurt. That makes sense. Or someone there's one retailer that about five years ago switched from being hands off because they two APs, lots of protection. Yeah. They were following a guy who was on drugs. Okay. And I don't know the sp quite the speaker, but basically they had got him in handcuffs and while on handcuffs he died. But the reason why he died, they said, was because of an active overdose. But nonetheless, I can't speak on that specific, but nonetheless, that point was a changing point for that company. They said, you know what? Fuck it. We're done. We're done. Because not only that, I get it. Like you don't want to bring your kids into a store while you're shopping and see two people fighting at the front door throwing stuff around. Yeah. I I get it. I I I get the certain aspect of it. So, you know, but what's interesting is they because most of us can't carry anything. You're not allowed to carry pepper spray on you. Right, right. And so their idea is well, if you're not hands-on and you don't carry anything, it makes you safer. Yeah. Which is quite the opposite. It's not that's not true. Literally. I'm currently not hands on in my company. And it's just not true because the minute that I stop someone, because a lot of these people, I stand between them and their addiction, their fix. Yep. They're fighting addiction. They mental issues. I get it. I I understand. So when you stop people and they say, you know, I'm taking this, you're like, okay, you I no, I don't want you to. Some of them won't take the chance of going to random. They're automatic to go to violence. All they're gonna all they see is their drug. They don't even see the to go to violence. I've had b dude, I've had literally stop some at the front door stealing like bolt cutters for burglar tools. Hey man, I'm with Lost Prevention. I need you before I even finish my spill, they're swinging it. Damn. That's fucking insane. We had a we had a a guy in my cu one of the companies I work for up north. Actually, he lost his life. He was 21 years old. Shit. He makes a stop. So a security guard at this company. She used to work that security guard, like hired on Al like some type of security company. like Ally Bar. Yeah, something like that. So she quit, decided to go on the other, you know, I'm gonna go steal stuff. She goes in to steal, she steals like a $10 iPhone charger or something. Wow. She goes to go out a back mercy exit. He stops her. 21 years old. He's in gay, he's supposed to be married in like two weeks. Stops her. And this I seen this video, man, and this was heart wrenching. no shit. Stops her, she pulls out a gun, almost point blank, shoots him, right? Well when she sh fires and shoots him, it hits him in the heart. He collapsed instantly, boom. She goes back to the vehicle where her like six month old baby's at, gets in the boyfriend a car with a boyfriend and takes off. And on the Oakland freeway and they get a high speed chase and they catch her and they go to jail. But yeah, a kid lost his life. It was in just like that. Stam over a fucking charger. That's retarded. I tossed the charger back at him and took off running. Overcharger, she pulled it out, you and now we're She overcharged her, she ruined her fucking life. We had another situation, another company was in Texas, I believe it was Texas. And this is another kind of double-edged sword. When we based on my experience, most of the time you get ex-law enforcement coming into LP, they never last. Right. Yeah. The reason why they don't, because their sec their old mentality kicks down. Which not saying that experience of, but it's just that they, you know, when you're law enforced, you grab some and hang them up. So they're at a retail, ex Law Enforcement's working there. He's working in this retail environment. Guy comes in, he notices that that guy, wait a minute, that guy's a wanted felon. He's a violent wanted felon. So they catch him and bring him to the back office, right? So bring him the back office. He steps outside, hey dude, I got so and so here. Come get him. You know, LPs, we don't we can't pat down and search you. We get you in the back. We're just we're hoping hey, hopefully he ain't got a weapon. Yeah. Because if he does, well, you know, whatever. So as The Texas it was Texas. The Texas police officer's walking in, the guy sees it, pulls out a gun from his boot, bootstrap, shoots the the off the officer that's working there, kills him, shoots the AP in the face, kills the other officer, gets out into the parking lot, and then he's apprehended. And the A the AP that he shot blew off his nose. He lived, but he it's crazy, man. Talk about It's it's violent. Like it's it's crazy. It's crazy, man. I've had Multiple guns pulled on me. So do you do you think about shit like that when you're like fuck I'm about to stop this guy? Hopefully everything goes well. Yeah. Sometimes across my mind it really does, man. Really does 'cause I like I tell the younger guys that come in the field, like, I know you're amped, but not to say that you know I know it all, but I've seen more. Like, chill out. When you approach this guy, show him respect. Say, look, man, I understand times are hard. This is your job. I'm doing mine. I caught you today. You're gonna get me tomorrow. It's a cat and mouse game. Like, let's show mutual respect. And just be on your way. Yeah. I like that, bro. Most of the time that verbal judo works. Yeah. Most of the I use it. Use it all the time. I use it all the time. But look, bro, I'm two paychecks, three pay paychecks away from being where you're at. I get it. If I lost two or three paychecks, I might be doing what you're doing. So I'm not belittling you, but I do got a job to feed my family like you're trying to feed yours. And most of the time that works. But these young guys that come in, bro, they want to be RoboCop. I'm like, dude, you're not gonna get you hurt. Go ahead, just you're gonna get me hurt. You know, it's yeah. It's crazy, man. A lot of them come in like they're I mean I tell you chill like they don't think about shit like that. They do You know, you got a family to go home to. Yeah. At the end of the day, you know, you got a family to go home. So just be but be respectful. You're not a cop. You're not yeah, you're not. You know what I mean? You know you got a job to do, but you don't have to you don't have to, you know, go in there and be super disrespectful and 'cause most of the time but they want to be treated like they're human, expensive the homeless population. They get treated like trash by people every day. That's what I was gonna ask you. You see a obvious homeless person walking in. Do you automatically lock clock in on them? Like lock in on them? If they're repeats. So when they first of all, when they come in, here's what I do. Like most time they come in and they're walking around and they could be getting out of the heat. Yeah. They could be getting out of, you know, if it's raining, they could be getting out of the rain. They could be going to use the restroom. They could be going to the bird bath. And so I don't stereotype and go, I'm gonna automatically follow them. But I've been doing this long enough that I look at behaviors. The way they act when they walk in. I've caught dudes in three piece Armani suits doing a return fraud. Yeah. So I look at behaviors. Are you are you walking down the aisle and selecting merchandise without even looking at the price? Okay, well who does that? Nobody. Who does that? Sometimes you might, sometimes you might. But like we need it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So but they'll walk in and pick the expensive one. Like for instance, they walk in and then like they'll walk in to a retailer and they'll grab like I don't know, for example, like a a a combo kit or something. And or just something small, like a lot. So I'm like, okay, you select it with disregard to price. Not that you're gonna do anything, but to me that's one. It's a red flag. You know, what are you doing? And then if I walk by and they're constantly looking around, or they're like or they'll they'll like look at a bay and they'll go all the way in the bay. I'm like and their hands are in the bay. Okay, so now did you select something without disregard the price? Now you're looking in the bay at something, but your hands are in there with it? It's just it's it's body language and like you know. So all this shit w did someone teach you this shit or just experience? You know what, man, when I got an AP back in the day, we would chase motherfuckers in the car, bro. When I first started, that's just crazy. Like we would I when I first started I had I had my AP manager go, I like, bro, he already left in that car. He's like, come on, let's go. I'm like, go where he's like, get in the car. We fucking follow them where they go. Yeah, bro. So I went in with feet the ground. I just had to kinda just, you know, learn on my own as I went and just kinda basically like I don't like lack of better terms, now I don't like to call it like a spidey sense almost. You can do it so long, you're kinda like, okay, I get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The way he's looking, the way he's he's fumbling around, the way he's Or they'll ask they'll ask for something and then go to a d different totally different area of the store. Yeah. Like I one guy's like, hey, I'm you know, I need a drill for this, whatever, and they'll tell, okay, it's an aisle ten or fifteen or whatever, and then they'll go to the pool section or something and be looking at like the I'm like, okay, so what's going on here? Another red flag is I'm gonna use this as an example. Like you like the same brand. So like for example, let's say if you go you have a drill of one brand. Okay. You're gonna wanna buy the same brand. You want a kit. You want all unison. You want to match, you know. Right, right, yeah. You want to go and say you all me or all your or all cricket or whatever. Yep, yep. So but when you come in and start selecting one brand and another brand one brand and then one brand and then one brand, I'm like, okay, well what's going on here? Like what what the noes that? But the craziest thing is what makes me mad is doodles send their girls in to do their dirty work for them. Yeah. Thinking that's not you know, the thinking that, you know, it's everything's good because they're not going in. Grimy scandalous shit. I've had I've had it the same girl I've caught, dude, for years. Every time I catch her, she forgets and tells me she's just getting the money for an abortion. But it's the same thing she tells me every single I'm like, you do realize I've caught you. I've been catching you for the past like three years. Like call call her on her bullshit. She's like she's going on. She No, you have I'm like, Yeah, she go, you have, huh? I go, Yeah. So just cut it, like cut the you know, I mean, come on. Like, I've heard every and you can giddy tell When someone's BSing or not. I mean you could just you could tell. Some people are really good at it, you know, but like I I'd stopped this one guy. There's still a dink in the door. you know, the doors open up. I go to this one made the news. This is on the news. We could record everything. It was a big thing. This one was on the news. I had to go to trial and everything for this one. shit. I stopped this guy, he grabs a pair of bolt cutters at the retail of that mat. Grabs a pair of bolt cutters. And I go to stop him at one of the doors. And the door goes open and he just swings it, bro. I mean he's swinging it. And he hits the metal, it hits the metal call at the door, it dents the door, it's a chip in the door. Bro, and I'm backing up and I'm like trying to dodge. He's still swinging, bro. I'm talking like Superman like just swinging it like he's trying to it's it's crazy. Someone's willing like to hurt somebody in order to not get a merchandise. A simple what misdemeanor, probably. Like they're turning that shit into a felony? Yeah, yeah. That's what I tell people. I tell guys I'm cool that look, bro, don't fight me. I even tell them, look, give me the flashlight. Don't fight me. Because if you fight me right now, you're gonna take it from a petty theft to a two eleven. And right now it doesn't even matter because the new six six six point one petty theft with priors. So they passed that with drug offenses too. So basically if you've been convicted of theft, right? Yeah twice, right? You've been convicted of theft twice. The third time, regardless if you steal a piece of bubble gum. Or a candy bar is a felony automatically. But that's good. Sounds great, right? Yeah. But the problem is they're Fed capping everyone. So what that means is Lerno's full. The Joe's are full. So they're just kicking them out because they're full. Yeah. And saying, Okay, here's your court date. We'll see you in court. And you can crazy like Thor. You guys know who Thor is? No. Retailer, every sea picture of my cooking activities? Yeah. Dude, I've not lost my life to Thor, bro. he steals. yeah. There's the homeless that walks around with the hammer and Wait, what did he say? You almost lost your life before. Well not quite literally, but dude so I come in, I'm clocking in, and I'm walking down and I see I I didn't know he was like a thing yet. You know I I'm like The guy with the hammer. So he picks up a sledgehammer from the aisle and he's like I'm like Dude, I don't feel like dealing with this shit today. I don't feel like dealing with this. So I'm like, alright, well, you know, it's the life of an AP. It fucking is what it is. Here we go. Fucking gonna be, you know, so I follow him, I stop at the door, and he fucking wigs out on me, bro. Wow. Fuck it just starts swinging the hammer. Yeah, and I'm like I'm like, bro, everyone's like laughing. I'm like, thanks. Like the people are laughing because the dude jumped at thore and attacking me. I think they think it's like some type of TikTok skit or something. I'm like, no, dude, this is real, bro. Like I'm about to get hurt. Yeah, I'm about to get hurt, dude. I'm like I'm like dodging help. You're fucking laughing. Help. I've had people get naked on me. Hell yeah. I gotta ask the real question. Have you made it to Kern County activities yet? Yes. Can you explain? Three times. shit. I didn't know each time. The last time was so fucking embarrassing. I was I was okay, so and I I the the dude that was filming, I could hear what he was saying. Curk at activity. But I didn't I didn't realize what he was saying. I didn't realize until I seen the video and I hear him say it in the video. Crank at activity. So I stopped this dude at one of the doors. I jumped. So I like creeping up on getting my surprise and snapping a picture. Because it doesn't give them time to think. They're struck, you know? So I stick them on it. Boom. And so Well, I try to stick up on him, but he gets too far, so I he turns around. So I stop him and he drops to his knees. He's like, what's up, homie? I'm like, what? And the dude behind me is like, he's trying to dome him up. He's trying to dome him up. I'm like, but I don't want to look because dude's gonna dome feed me if I look. I'm like, bro, get up. I'm like, I I won't even write you up. Get the fuck up and just get out. He's trying to dome him up. Homie's trying to dome him up. I'm like, dude, it's I don't know how to look and then like twenty minutes later, right? I'm like, fuck, okay. And my dude, I hear people on the break laughing. I'm like, they're like, Billy, you're famous. I'm like, what? And like, come here. And I'm like, he shows the dude dropped his knee and the guy's like, You trying to dumb him up? That was you? Yeah, bro. And then We'll get that video. We'll get that video for you. We'll see if we can get it. We'll see if we can get it. Yeah, so I'm sure he was on the stories, I guess. I don't know I don't have i they'll show me it was on Instagram. I don't have Instagram, so I don't know how to even And there was another one on there too. I was on there a couple times on what was the second one I was on? because we were doing a a so like they're cool now. Like I'm cool, like you know, we you get workers in certain parking lots of retailers that want to, you know, go there for work. And so one time we thought it was ice 'cause we haven't dressed. And so it's like, No, no, he he's he's friendly, you know, he's friendly or whatever. And he's not the ice agent. But like 'cause I wor I worked at the location, but we were doing a sting with law enforcement. You know, like or C steak okay. Well the people that were filming thought it was ice. they're like ice is over here, cooking like this ice, ice but it's not ice. It's lost for bitch. If it if it would have let me tell you this much, and I don't care. If it would have been ice, you ain't gonna I helped them off with you. You wouldn't even see me twenty feet away no way. And then I was mad as fuck. I'm like, no, it's not fucking like it's not ice. Don't say it's fucking ice, because I'm right here. And they're gonna think, Tom, that's not it's not ice. I'm like, no. Alright, so we're we're gonna have to end it pretty soon because yeah, we're running low on time. But I wanna ask you. You wear that that red hat. yeah. It says immigrants make America great. With the with the Mexico flags. Yes, yes. Are you Mexican? No. No family. I'm European, you and straight born born and raised here. But like I tell people, they're like, Why do you have the hat on? I'm fucking human. Yeah. Like I I I recently spoke on the news and there's a war of people in the community that don't look like me. You know, and it's not just you know, it it's just there's people being harassed because simply the color of their skin. Do you think that's the case with Mexicans right now? Or Latinos in general. Yeah, I I I I I don't want to understand, but I have a personal experience of someone that I care about dearly who was stopped by ICE and detained, and they are born here and they work in the community. And they were held. And at that point I'm like, listen, like it's just it's I was before that I was, but so I always I wear it out in Bakersfield, the the the hat. I'm Yeah, yeah. You're not gonna fucking bully me. This is what I believe in. If you don't like it, it is what it is. Like say something. Yeah, say and and and I battle it because obviously, let's be honest, I'm a white dude in Bakersfield. Yeah. You know, and and so when I'm out places people be like, yeah, Trump did fucking lived, you know. I'm like, No, I don't know. What do you mean? Well I'm one of And then you know. It it's it's so yeah. Yeah, you fit the profile, bro. I do, a hundred percent. Yeah, he's straighter like this motherfucker. They get they get dumbfounded. They look at your face. If you didn't know, you would assume medicinal math and all that shit. But that's why I love it, because when they see the hat at first, they're like, it's a black and they go and the look on their face is like, shit, that's not what it is. Ray straighter. Yeah, that's all that's all it is on his TikTok whenever he goes live, bro. what the fuck. You see my inbox on TikTok. no shit. I'm gonna I'm gonna come just you kid, I'm gonna I'm gonna find out where you live. I mean dude, you should it's it's increasing. yeah. Empty threats. But but but yeah, empty threats. It yeah, empty threats. But you should see the comment sections of my videos, bro. It's just wild. I think you have. I don't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I always it's crazy, but like I said, I don't it is what it is. Be mad. Time shit. Cool, man. No, but we really enjoyed you having, bro. We're gonna we'll have to have you back because I I feel like there's a lot more that we haven't even touched yet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, they're right. Yeah, I'll come back anytime. Have you ever seen any paranormal shit like looking at the cameras or at a working at a third workplace? We should probably say that for the quick story. Yeah, this is a quick story. Okay. yes. Yes. emergency door opened by itself. So line went off at the store. Boop boop boop boop. I had to go and look up CCTV because did someone break in? Did a did a did a cat see. Well, like in the middle of the night? Yeah, middle of the night, like 2 33 in the morning. Okay. And so I go in, I'm reviewing CCTV, and I it says this door went off. I'm like, let me look at it. So I'm looking at it, the door just opens. I'm like, hold on, rewind. What hit the door? Play. Door just opens. I'm like, no fucking way. Play it again. Door, I don't know. Door open. Yeah. And when you talk about stuff, let me know because before LP, I used to work in Substance abuse and one of the facilities I worked at used be convalescent home and they converted it into a substance abuse.
