Relic selector. Okay, so I like in the doorways between each little level it tells you like what is gonna happen at the end of it, it seems like. So we'll have Or like what what you what you get in the next room for reward. Right. Setting up expectations. It's kinda nice. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Use relic selector. Hello. Ooh. Interesting. Decayed scepter, plasma ball, and impact charm. Your skills deal bonus damage and poison for the decayed scepter. The plasma ball is whenever you defeat an enemy, there's a chance to conjure a lightning bolt that deals three to fifteen damage. Interesting. Seventy five percent chance too on that. Yeah, that's pretty nice. It's better than the other one. And then this one's just an AoE damage twenty five. Whenever you stun an enemy, deal AoE damage around it. Okay. Kinda like this plasma ball one. Yeah, I mean I'd go for that one. Confirm. Ooh, you get completely different ones. Glacier Necklace, whenever you use a skill, you throw a snowball that deals damage and freezes cooldowns. ⁓ I like that. Whenever you crit, you deal bonus stun, that stays claw and absolute ambition. Whenever you perfectly complete a room, all nights permanently increase skill damage by five percent. Hmm, that looks pretty cool. Bonus stun or I'm gonna go with this one. Yeah. I like that. You get the decayed scepter again. Yeah. Combustion stone. Whenever you burn an enemy, deal bonus damage. Or pristine band, whenever you perfectly complete a room, all knights gain three max HP. But also like we wanna see, you know, we wanna see what his adventure is like. But Yeah, so we're excited for him to come home. His I think his siblings all miss him, but I'm glad that he was able to go and do this and have some like independence and explore the world a little bit without the confines of parents. So the theme of the month is Home Wrecker Plus, which as I had explained, is kind of an inside joke my wife and I have, where it's just things that were considered extravagant expenses by ⁓ somebody we know and was giving us a hard time about, so it became a joke. The Home Wrecker Plus is pizza, ice cream, beer, chicken wings, avocado toast, and Shark Week. And in terms of a question. So what I came up with was because for this one it's kind of whatever, I decided SUPRISE attack! ⁓ Loki requests good pranks. You now have to good prank your wife, like in the office. Ready set go. Do you remember the ⁓ op episode of the office where Jim is the Dwight's best man? No. I didn't I only watched a few episodes here and there. I didn't ever watch it all the way through. ⁓ okay, o okay, okay, okay, okay. So in the in the office there's ⁓ like towards the end of the series, Dwight is getting married and he asks Jim to be his best man. And Jim has a character who has just been pranking Dwight like throughout the entire series. It's like they have a whole rivalry, it's a whole thing. Right. So Dwight was like, No bad pranks, like I'm only doing good pranks for the ⁓ as the ⁓ best man. And I think he's he's like he had like three good pranks. Like one was like he brought Dwight to like a field and like didn't explain anything. They just all drove there in like a limo with like him and like all the like, you know, the ⁓ what do you call it? All the the best not the best men, the ⁓ groomsmen. Yeah. And ⁓ they get out of the vehicle and there's just a guy standing there with like a bazooka and like Dwight Dwight looks at Jim and he's like, Is this a hit? And like And then like Jim just kind of shakes his head. And the guy with the bazooka walks up to ⁓ Dwight, hands him the bazooka, and points to a target out in the middle of like the open area. And then like Dwight, like, you know, you see like the light bulb go off and then he like aims the bazooka at the target and like blows it up and there's just like there was another prank that I forget what it was, and then like the third and final prank or whatever was like they brought Michael back for like the episode because That actor had left the show. So they brought him back for the episode to be the official best man. He 'cause he's like, I'm sorry, Dwight. Like on the day of the wedding, he's I'm sorry, Dwight, I can't be your best man. He's What you talking about, Jim? You can't do this to me. He's like, Because there's somebody who's more qualified. And that's when Michael comes in and he's like, Okay. So of course, you know, Dwight has always had like a huge ⁓ has been like a a big fan of Michael. He's like He's always like idolized them and everything, so it was a big deal for him. Yeah. Because we're on to game of the moment, right? Correct. So we are playing Ember Knights. This is type of game. This is a top down hack and slash. Number of players is four, unfortunately. System and platform. Definitely Windows. I think that's it. I think I think it's just PC for this one, unfortunately. Yeah. That's too bad. Yeah, we've had more games recently that were crossplay, which was nice, but I guess you can't win everyone. The cost for this one regular cost is nineteen ninety nine. We did manage to get it on a sale. Yeah. ⁓ we we purchased it for six. Seven sixty four. I don't know if that's the lowest the historic low or not. The objective and story for this one, we seem to be little ⁓ summoned elemental creatures. The we are ember knights that are protecting the ⁓ the Koraks that live in this little pocket universe. Right. The controls you were trying it I I've only been trying it with a controller and I've I've been having a great experience. ⁓ you said you tried it with keyboard mouse initially, right? Yeah, keyboard and mouse was fine. The controls are super easy for keyboard and mouse, and then I switched a controller part way through and that was also easy. Ooh. I just destroyed that guy's sign and stole some gold. Nice. Can you break more of this stuff? Yeah, let's move Bust up his shop. The art style. It's it's a so it's a top down, it's all like kinda like pixel art. Yeah. Except for the cutscenes which look like hand drawn animation. Yeah. So it's very stylized. I've I've really been enjoying the art style ⁓ on this game. Yeah, the art style's a ton of fun. It has like a very like polished arcade feel. Yeah. I I and I love any kind of like sixteen bit pixel art like animation stuff. Anytime a game does that, I love it. Yeah. Absolutely. I don't know. I don't know why. It's just something that I really enjoy. What Don't you like about this one, Bob? I feel like there could be I could use a mini map. A mini map, yeah, absolutely. But I mean the maps are pretty small, but like some of them do like you can't see the full map from like your viewpoint, so there is definitely a that's true. A difficulty. Like you have to move around to see the whole map. So that's kind of annoying. I wish that there were more health drops in the level, because like for for an easy difficulty You would think that it wouldn't be as much of a challenge as I feel like it's been. Like I've died a ton. Mm-hmm. I'm sure a little bit of it is skill, but I feel like I've done a pretty good job of understanding how the mechanics work. But I have died very easily a lot of times. And I think I wonder we don't even get health drops in most of the levels, right? And then it's like the mini boss and the regular boss, and you only get like two or three health drops there. Yeah, that's true. I'm I'm kinda wondering if that might change in a little bit of later game once we start unlocking some of the like the permanent upgrades or whatever. Right. Like maybe we can like get something that's like drops a health potion on kill or something. Right. That's a common power up I see in these types of games. Yeah. So it's possible that you know, that's something that is gonna happen in a little later, but you know, obviously we don't know for certain. Right. Yeah. I would like to there's some there's some chicken over there. Chicken some floor chicken. Speaking of health. Right. One thing that I really like is that like Your skills get built back up after use by hitting the enemies with your main weapon. I think that's really interesting. Yeah, I like that as a mechanic. Like it's not like ⁓ you have to like achieve this or achieve that. It's like, no, just hit the hit them. Right. Like just just do attacks. And that is what's gonna build it up. What is this? Did we do something like this before? I feel like we didn't hit any bosses. I wonder if this is the main boss. I don't know, actually. Show me where I am in the level or something. Yeah, like even like a you know, level like one of twelve, you know. Yeah, yeah. Something. Other than that, like this is a pretty solid game. Conjure a cyclone to pull your enemies a safe distance away. That'll be a fun one to get. Okay. Did you have anything else? I don't know that I really have much else to say about this one. I think it's been a really fun game. Similarly, I would play it again. I don't have any big concerns, you know, like the health thing is a minor one. It seems like there's mechanics at play that can kind of alleviate that. So it's just kinda like put some effort into the game and you'll be rewarded for it. So Yeah, it's like it's harder because you're starting out at a as a level zero character, but once you actually start making some progression, it should get a little easier, it seems like Yeah, exactly. Yeah, so this is a good one. Big thumbs up to me. Final thoughts. ⁓ Games to sustain. I quick final thoughts here because I feel like I wanted to give us an opportunity in case we missed anything. But I feel like a lot of times we get to final thoughts and we've already kind of said everything that needs said, but so I think that's kind of where we're at now. It's not overly complicated. It's a quick pickup and play. Top down hack and slash. Just wish it had a few more players that could join us. But yeah, other than that, play it again. And then What's been keeping me sane this week? Yes, PAL World. That's been fun. But I have been playing a little bit more Helldivers recently, actually. Yeah. Because I know they have a they have a big update coming. I think they're finally getting close to the release of that ⁓ what did they have? They had like a new war bond like a new legendary one they were gonna Yeah, it's another crossover. Yeah, with like Warhammer forty three or something. Mm-hmm. That's what it was. So I think I want to say that's coming at that it's coming out on the third. I could be wrong. So so yeah, I've been trying to get back into that. Earn some super credit so I can buy the new war bond. You know, I got to ⁓ got to play a little bit with Snuff. Nice. I saw who else did I see on I played with this week? I saw a few people actually. I I played a little bit with like ⁓ Coyote, Coyote J and yeah, Snuff and ⁓ Nomad. And I think there were there were some other people in there too that I got to play with briefly. But it was just fun to I'd kinda been taking a break from Helldivers for a little bit. Yeah. And it was just nice to pop back in and still see like those people playing and just be able to hop in a game with them and yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah, I didn't really have much. I didn't I didn't really get to game very much outside of this dumb new Walking Dead mobile game that I've been playing. I don't think I'm gonna be playing it very long. It's very boring. So I was like I I went into it with like low expectations, and it's definitely meeting my low expectations. Which, you know, that's fine. Yeah, only can can only expect so much from a mobile game. Legendary. Call to arms. Legendary. Ooh, I got a tiara. Supreme ambition. Whenever you defeat an enemy with a skill, permanently increase skill damage by one percent. Whenever you use a skill, you conjure a lightning bolt. Tiara! Yeah, I feel like you have to go with the tiara. I looted this guy's corpse. And there's an apple that you can eat. Drink. Delicious.
