You know, it's kind of funny because I put that in as like a new line, but this just happened to work out that way. organically and I love that it happened. In doing all of this functioning. We're trying to maintain our long distance friendships, both old and new, across this chaotic journey of life. Every week we play a new co-op game that's usually under ten dollars, share pieces of our lives with you, talk about other games we continue to play that keep us sane, motivated, and stimulated. At least it's a map. They have a warning sign that pops up when you go to start the mission. It's ⁓ before you start, this is your training ground. Make sure everyone knows what they're doing before things get messy. ⁓ Yeah, we'll be fine. Yeah, we'll make it. Good enough. Sign the contract and start. Sounds about right. Are we in the game right now? Yep. Sweet. Ooh, is that a little claw game? ⁓ can't use it though. Alright, my first complaint. I wonder I think when you're buying stuff on this, I don't know if it's from communal ⁓ there's a bug. It's just a little slug thing. Ooh. Did you guys get that too, or did I only get that? I didn't see anything pop up. I just found like a new item, like a new clothing item. ⁓ we have to buy track. So we we collect all these little gems that we see everywhere, all these little purple gems, we collect them and then we bring them back to the base. ⁓ okay. And as soon as you walk through the door they like collect and then you you have to buy track and then you can buy a cart, so that way you can keep running stuff back to the base. You can like put it in the cart and then like send the cart back. Okay. Okay. But you have to buy everything. Sounds about right. Mm-hmm. How you guys been? What you been up to? How's your week then? Pretty good. Yeah, things are getting warm. That's pretty sweet. Trying to spend some time outside. As one should, as it goes. Trying to spend more time inside. Too hot for me. I'm a fall girly. I do like fall more, but I do appreciate the not so disgusting days in summer too. Let's see, where do we need to get? ⁓ okay. So yeah, if you look on your map, there's like all these like places we just have to connect a rail to basically. ⁓ are they? Okay. Yeah. I think that's the primary thing in the game is just like connecting all the different points, all the different like outposts or whatever it is. Is it dark over there? Yes. Okay. I found a torch. I wasn't up to much this week. I feel like this week I I didn't get to do a whole lot. I mean sometimes that's okay. So do you guys have C twenty one crystals up at the top there? I do, yeah. So if I do this now it's down to one. Now it's down to one, but how many in your crystal inventory, if you press and hold tab, it what does it say? Seven. ⁓ okay, so that upgrade that I just purchased upgraded it for everybody. ⁓ yeah. Sweet. Well that's nice. So that's good to know. Ooh, lava. Don't fall on the lava. I did that the other day when I was playing. It is this basically just you're gonna die. I fell in the lava doing the tutorial. ⁓ I'm sorry. ⁓ that's okay. I got to learn my lesson quick. Yeah, it it looked like there might have been something neat around the lava, so I also was trying to navigate through the lava and failed. ⁓ hey, there's a track already here. This is an interesting game. I like the chill mode where it's ⁓ there's not real we're mostly just kind of building. Yeah. I think I want to t undo ⁓ this rail that I did earlier. Really? ⁓ you know what? That's right, you can add switches. You can also just pick up the pieces That you put down or any of the pieces you didn't put down. I just knocked this giant crystal thing free, but I don't think I can do anything with it. ⁓ you zap it. The big ones you gotta zap. ⁓ okay. Yeah. When in doubt, lasers. Yeah, seems like they're really relying on the lasers in this one. Mm-hmm. Yeah, anything else going on with either of you? ⁓ yeah. I actually ⁓ what was it yesterday? I went to see my daughter's recitals. Mm-hmm. ⁓ okay. She's ⁓ she's in a dance class that's ⁓ they have their big finale show. Mm. They had four of ⁓ actually. ⁓ that's exhausting. We only had to go to one, but some parents some parents have to go to all four. ⁓ Sheesh. But yeah, that was fun. That's cool. Did she do like the same thing in each or was it like she does like different types of dance? This season we signed her up for Broadway Stars. They the dance studio offers a lot of different types. Yeah. And they did a medley from Beauty and the Beast. Okay. Yeah. Last year, maybe last summer, she was in Beauty and the Beast, so she already knew all the songs. ⁓ nice. And I f I think everybody else in the house knew all the songs too. ⁓ man. Whether they wanted to or not. Right. ⁓ no! ⁓ That bug just kicked me into the lava. What a d I just dug a hole and then like a bug popped out. And then he just like booted me into the lava. Stinky bug. What a jerk. Total this move. ⁓ I fell in the lava now. ⁓ no. Sorry, that was my own fault. I jumped down onto a thing to try and get something and then fell into the lava. ⁓ that was creepy. At the bottom of the lava there were all these like floating goblin eyes and they were like laughing at me. ⁓ yeah, that's the darkness. ⁓ crap. The darkness is slowly overtaking me. I need to get out of here, I'm in trouble. Am I gonna make this jump or are you gonna fall in the lava? ⁓ no ⁓ no no no no no. Goblin eyes, goblin eyes, the darkness. ⁓ mama f ⁓ no no mama f uhma ⁓ no I'm dead. I like how it's like you this guy's dying. Yes he is. And we're gonna keep it that way. Huh. Let him suffer. There's one thing I don't care for so far about this game is when you die, you just all your inventory that you are carrying, you lose. Yeah. I mean, I know we're not there yet, but it's kinda similar to Deep Rock Galactic, I would say, like, ⁓ in terms of theme, but Yeah. Whereas Deep Rock Galactic, somebody went down, you went and you rescued them. This one, it just dumps out a new goblin and it gives you like a new goblin name and you are a different person. Like I think it's more like hell divers in terms of it's just like, nope, just spit out another one. Yeah, okay. That's kind of funny. But also kinda that like antithesis of Having some like progress and stability, you know, like true progress. Yeah, but you can like find your corpse and then loot it. ⁓ there's that. That's kinda funny. ⁓ I just messed up your light there. That's alright, it's still lit up. Hooray. ⁓ gosh. Whoops. I was trying to grab the light. No That took me forever. So anything else new with you guys? No, my I had a boring week. That is tragic. Absolutely tragic. Yeah, like I didn't I didn't I don't think I watched anything this week. Didn't watch the most recent episode of From? No, I didn't I didn't get to. I wanted to. It was on my list of things to do, but I just never got there. I think mostly this week we've just been like gearing up for getting ready for the kids to ⁓ do summer vacation stuff. Yeah, that makes sense. How on earth do I pick up this random track that's just sitting on the ground? Why won't I Can't I pick it up? I don't know. I was having problems with that too. Yeah, like you can't target it. Yeah. Whoa! Hmm. I just picked up the piece that it was like sitting on top of and it like shot across the room and I still can't pick it up. I think it's just bugged. Man, I am getting my butt kicked in this game. Really? ⁓ yeah. Well I was like running around, I was collecting stuff because I'm like, yeah, I need to buy things and stuff. And then ⁓ I got overwhelmed by the darkness because I fell down a hole and then I couldn't get back up. The darkness. Hmm. Well I got a long track going down this away. Maybe I'll come place some torches. Yeah, that's gonna be the next step. Trying to ⁓ there we go. Pick up this torch from the wall. ⁓ hey! Crumzil. We do have a long track going through here. This part down here g is a little iffy. I'm not sure how that's gonna work out. It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it. It's the motion of the ocean, baby. ⁓ yeah, it looks like we need to add a track over here. Get away from me, stinky darkness. Don't touch me. That's my no-no place. Let me light up your life. ⁓ I've got all the things that I can discuss once I kill this crystal. Give me your crystal juices. Yeah, so the kids are out of school. we did successfully kind of do the after elementary school food truck thing on Thursday. Nice. ⁓ I say somewhat successfully because we got the foods, the kids played, but when we got the food and we sat down to eat, we heard like thunder and then there was like this storm front rolling in, and I was like, uh-oh, I better pack up all of these things that I have. And of course it was like the boys didn't want to come, so it was just me with like the girls. And I was like, Well, I have to pack all three of these chairs up. I have to hold like four things of food like stacked up under my chin. I had like three of these big camping chairs just like strapped onto my back and then it started to downpour. The littlest is like screaming because she hates getting wet. And I'm like, Just keep moving, just keep moving. And I was parked like farther away and we were just like making a break for it. And then I got everything like loaded into the car and then the rain stopped and I was like, Really? Really? Really? What the sh ⁓ gosh. Tokos. But on the bright side, I got wings from like a barbecue food truck, and they were like these sweet smoked wings that were tossing garlic butter and they were fantastic. Sounds good. Yeah. So they were kinda worth getting rained on and having one of my children scream the whole time. But kinda worth it. Kinda worth it. And we also have three of the four kids are visiting relatives. We had a birthday party for the littlest yesterday because her birthday was on Tuesday. And we went to like a kid's play place and a bunch of her friends came. And then one of the kids' ⁓ aunt and uncles took ⁓ the two oldest and the littlest because they're gonna go stay with some different family for a few days just for fun. And Third oldest is going off to a Girl Scout camp tomorrow. So we will be childless for at least a day or two. Ooh. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, we're just kind of playing it by ear with the littlest because we don't know when she's gonna be like, I'm homesick and sad and I wanna come home now and I'll have to like drive up at whatever horrific time of night that is. But the two oldest will probably be fine. We could probably leave them for as long as they want, so we're just kinda letting them decide. Nice months. Yeah. Years. Bye. See you later. Come back with your share of the rent that you missed for the last several years. ⁓ there's interest. yeah. ⁓ I watched the most recent episode of From that came out last week, and then I think there's Two episodes left in the season. So today and then next week. And apparently somebody leaked a bunch of stuff for the last two episodes. So I'm actively trying to avoid all social media because I don't want to get spoiled on that. Usually I'm like I don't care about spoilers, but like I don't I don't wanna know. Part of the show is unraveling the mystery. Like it's a big point of it. So I'm like, I don't want to be spoiled for this one. Yeah, I can see that. I am looking forward to those episodes. Seeing where they take this. I think it'll be really, really good to see how the season wraps up. I think it's been really interesting. There was an episode where people were complaining about it being slow and I'm like, I don't know. I feel like it was I don't know that I would say it was a slow episode. I'm not gonna run you over, am I? I don't think so. You can try it. Go ahead, try it. I have another note, but I'm trying to kill a crystal. ⁓ so there's some rejuvenated rumors that the various like spin-offs and lack of like full closure for the Walking Dead is going to have some actual closure and stuff come to fruition. Ooh, fancy. Yeah, so we'll see, 'cause they have like three spin-offs, and there's like all this question of all of these characters like split off into these different spin-offs from like the main shows. So like how do we give the audience closure since they ended the main show? And I think they're, you know, people have been saying for years they need to just do like either a final season. of the original show that like it didn't get cancelled, they had a final season, but like, you know, basically like retcon back in like a season twelve and be like, okay, well now we're going to like really end it for real this time, but with like all the characters instead of these characters that we like wrote out of the show without killing off so we could make another show and profit off of that. Mm-hmm. But I would like some closure. I wanna interest yeah. I don't know how they do that. I mean I think they've kind of like set it up in each of the spin-offs. At least they could easily like recombine everything back into one show again and just kind of be like, here you go. Congratulations. cart. Take my things. Yeah, it's my cart. I put things in it. I got there's these like goblins that have been like turned to stone over here. Yeah, something bad happened. Yeah, they got got for sure. Poor gobbies. Alright, well this cart is full of the things. Should I wheel it back and come back with it? Yeah, you can. Okay. Unless you happen to have some tracks on you. I don't. 'Cause I am all out, so trying to finish the connection here. So we we've connected to another ⁓ stopping cross rail stopping point thing with the the red lights, so you can just send the cart down the tracks to us and it'll just stop at this place. ⁓ okay. Now you can of course you can you can repair it, but it's gonna have some s the side effects are this ⁓ magic that you have, anytime you use it, it's going to play music. Or when you repair it. It's gonna have one of two side effects. It's either gonna have one song, one specific song playing anytime you use music, like Mickey Mouse. So anytime you're using the music, there's gonna be music playing like dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. Or anytime you aren't using music, there's going to be generic soundtrack music to your life. And it will change and vary depending on what's happening in the moment. So it won't be the same song every single time. It'll be different. all the time. It'll only happen when you're not doing magic. Okay. So you can have one specific sound any time you do Mickey Mouse magic or music all the time. Those your options. I like those options. Yeah. Gonna find them on the moon. So there's gonna be a lost a lost shoe or sock every every time they try to leave the house. ⁓ that's gonna be one for sure. That's fair. Hmm. ⁓ and when they find it, when they put it on every single time Immediately they're gonna step in a wet spot on the floor. Finally I hate wet socks with like a deadly passion. Yeah, so so lose a sock and when you find it it's you i it's right after you put it on it's wet. And then let's see, there's gonna be something with food. There's gotta be something food related, something kind of you go to take a bite of something and like it dribbles out. Or like you or or ⁓ every single time you go to like use a fork, it's like ⁓ it's a plastic fork and it breaks. No, I swear I I grabbed a metal one this time and you go and you're like, This is a metal fork, and you bang it and it goes ding, and then you go to use it and it's like And it just breaks and it's plastic. You're like HOW! How I was thinking, you know how like sword swallowers have like retracting swords? I wonder if they make like retracting forks. So like you go to stab something and it just like slides back in. Like, what is hell? And then I need one more mmm, let me see. It would have to be sleep related. Something to do with when they're trying to either go to sleep or after they fall asleep. ⁓ I know. Mmm. Right like ⁓ the second they every single night the second they hit Ren Rem sleep right above their head ⁓ those are my four. Okay. Awesome. I'm going to be hiding fruit in their areas. ⁓ no. So in their car and their house. And it's gonna get smelly. Yep. Smelly flies attract Insects and insects attract other insects. ⁓ man, that is brutal. Yeah, I want this person to know. I'm also gonna be poking pinprick holes in their sodas. So nothing happens until they crack it open. Amazing. Wait, so does the pinprick mean that it's just f like flat every time? Potentially. I was thinking like ⁓ something in the bottom. Kinda like You would chuck on the Brewski. Okay. But just like mm-hmm. So like it it's not big enough for it to like pour out, but as soon as you crack the l the top, it just pours out. Because now there's a place for to replace the air. Or the the liquid. Okay. Nice. Let's see. I wonder if there's like a you know how phones have wireless charging? I wonder if there's a wireless discharger. ⁓ And just replace their wireless charger with a It just sucks their battery. Or just replace it with a hockey puck. Just like I don't know why it's not working. I swear this was the charger. Where did it go? Alright, I gotta think of one more thing. Could be dangerous, but I could replace their car mirrors with not concave but convex. No, I think that's already convex. The objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. Yeah. So go the other way. So they appear with the So they're further away. So they look in the mirror and at the rear view and they can just see like up the presence's nose. I like it. It's like way too close. Yeah. Uncomfortably close. I found rock that I can't dig through. It's red. ⁓ Duel red. Trying to get around it here, but it just keeps getting bigger. Ooh. Have you guys tried using these zappy zaps? No, what is how did what is that? I don't think so. The best tool to harvest crystals. Hmm. I have one. I just haven't tried using those. I don't know how it works. I haven't tried those yet. Alright, Bob, what pranks are you pulling on ⁓ these Miscreants and ⁓ whatever else? Other clever term I want to use that I can't think of because my brain doesn't want to work right now. ⁓ yeah. So who let's see. I need to I need to manifest the person in my mind first here. Alright, I got it. So week number one, every room that they walk into, every room is gonna have that like prank fart spray smell. So like they try to leave the room, but every time they go into that next room it is just still there and they cannot get rid of it. Fart smell is perpetual. ⁓ okay. Can somebody respawn me? I got run over by that cart. Right by the I am stuck in the ceiling. ⁓ yeah, I got you. I'm s I'm stuck. ⁓ where nice. ⁓ yeah, you are. I wonder if I can zap you up. ⁓ there's there's a I'm stuck button. ⁓ that's nice. ⁓ Now you look more stuck. wait there you are. You're a new person now. I like how you can weld the rail at the end of the line. So it basically is just welding it to nothing. Yeah. Just a ghost of a rail. Yeah, that's pretty funny. Does that like stop it so it so the cart doesn't go off the end or something? Yeah, I don't know. So week number two, this person is going to receive a phone call from, you know, like something basically saying that like, ⁓ like this crazy thing happened. Like, ⁓ like your your car got destroyed. Ooh, I think my game just froze. ⁓ yeah. Trying to reconnect, make sure you have a stable internet connection. ⁓ that's weird. Are we still recording? Yeah, I'm like frozen in place here. This track, Aaron? I I don't know. I just wherever it was that I spawned in, I was standing on a stretch of track, the cart was coming back in a direction, it ran me over and I went flying. I don't know where my body landed. Is it on the map? ⁓ yeah, it will be. Is it? I don't see the ⁓ I see my body, I think. Why am I way down there? ⁓ yeah, and it looks like the cart's all the way at the other end of that track. Do you see it? I don't see it at all. I see the cart on the map. What's the what's the icon look like? It looks like a little like reddish brown cart. I do not see that. ⁓ weird. Why don't I run down that way and see if I can like spot it? I wonder if I can dig my way through over here and get back to it. See yeah, it looks like ⁓ the last time it the game saved we were a little bit back, so we lost a little bit of progress, but not too much. I was gonna say 'cause I thought I already dug a hole through here over to that track. I think there's my body. I think the cart was hidden in the other direction there. Maybe. This game reminds me of Red Faction. Like old Red Faction. ⁓ it was a first person shooter, but the environment was ⁓ you you could blow it up. So basically like if if you played the normal game and you came across a door that you didn't have a key for, but there was a wall you could just blow through the wall. ⁓ okay. Yeah, it was ⁓ it came out around that's yeah, I think it was on Playstation One. ⁓ b and also a computer. Okay. And ⁓ and also another game that did that was Treadmarks. I remember Treadmarks. Yeah. The tank one. Yep. ⁓ man, yeah, we used to play that game a ton. I loved that game. Yeah, that was a great game. That game's still gotta be around, right? I don't know. Ooh. Yeah, that was like all PvP, but I mean that was still a fun time. It was. The anti nuke and it would just make the giant mound of like Grass and stuff. Yeah. Aaron, did you ever play that? No, I don't think so. So I don't know, it was like a tank PvP. What do you what do call those? It's just no teams, everybody's ⁓ you know, ev every man for themselves. Yeah, just like a ⁓ battle royale type of thing. Yeah. Yeah. And there were different tanks and you you know, ⁓ move around and rotate the turret at the top and little speedy ones and big hefty ones and I don't know, it was just a fun game. I think I had to buy that on C D, like I had to get one in the mail. Yeah, I don't think that was a buy on Steam affair at all. No. Okay, so did you get all of your pranks, Bob? I did not. Yeah. Let me get back to that. So okay, so ⁓ second prank was gonna be ⁓ person gets like a phone call saying something like crazy's happening, like, ⁓ like you know, like your your house ⁓ fell into a sinkhole and it's just all gonna end up being like this person has to like rush back to like wherever this occurrence is just to find out that like it was just a wrong number again but like because they might be like very self-absorbed into these assets that they're just like no but I have to make sure prank number three is gonna be you let's see the person ⁓ they go to a restaurant, every time they go to a restaurant, every single time, one thing on the order is wrong. Not the whole order, just one thing. So it's like that that reason of like doubt of like, but why is it only just one thing every time? Like I asked for like extra gravy on the mashed potatoes and they didn't put any gravy on it. Or, you know, like I ordered coke and they gave me diet coke. Like, what's happening? Like the minor like Aggravating annoyance, but because it happens so often you're just like being driven slowly insane and then I like it. That sounds pretty safe. Yeah, right. And then the I don't know what happened, but both carts just decided to die for some reason. ⁓ They just like exploded. ⁓ that's weird. I don't I don't really understand what happened there, but ⁓ the carts are dead. I I found a den with a bunch of worms in it. They're like everywhere. Goodness. These these worms are spawning. ⁓ there's like a thing in the ceiling over here where they keep spawning out of. ⁓ we pr that's probably something we have to destroy, I bet. Yeah, I wonder if I can ⁓ I can destroy it. ⁓ that's good to know. Yeah. I gotta see if I can find the one over here. Alright, last prank is gonna be this person travels maybe. Maybe they travel a lot, maybe they stop at a lot of public arts rooms. I don't know. But like every time they go to a public bathroom They are gonna be like it's always gonna be like a super need, like I need to poop now. Like poop is happening, like I need to get into the bathroom, and every time they pick a stall, there's no toilet paper. Take that. That's awful. But it's not it's not gonna kill them. No, it's not. Mission accomplished. You've successfully not killed somebody. Hooray. Alright, so I I think that's it. Mm-hmm. We're on to ⁓ life co-ops if you have one. Yeah. Let's see. My life co-op gonna be this torch for keeping the darkness at bay. Mm-hmm. Not really. But ⁓ I think my life co op is going to be my littlest. She just had her birthday and she is just getting to be a big girl and it's and once you're Your youngest starts to get on in age, you get a little more missing the the moments and I love that she is just still very much like unapologetically herself and just this cute little kid that does her own thing and says super sassy things and she does not give a sh about what anybody else thinks. I'm trying to think of something funny that she said recently to kind of explain her Her attitude towards the world a little bit. Here's a good one. She and this is like to a bunch of people. But like when she's annoyed with somebody now or they're like doing something crazy around her, she's just like, she's like, you smell like an old rotten sock. I'm like, what an insult. Burn. How about you guys? Smell like a sock. ⁓ like a rotten old sock. Descriptor. So my life co-op is the gentleman who I met on a job site who, if I'm not mistaken, I believe was Scottish. I apologize if I'm getting that wrong. I am a dumb American and only know so much. But he was ⁓ so we were we went to a job site that there was like an active some solar sites are out in the middle of a field, others are on buildings, right? So ⁓ this one was on a commercial building, but it was one where we didn't have free access to everywhere, so we had to have like an escort or whatever to get around. Mm-hmm. Okay. And so this guy was like was like, All right, ⁓ you know, so how long you guys think you're gonna be or whatever? And I was like, ⁓ not really sure 'cause I'm not sure what we were looking at for a service request. You know, a lot of times it's troubleshooting. You don't know what you're gonna get into once you get in there, you know? So I'm like, you know, I d I'm not really sure, you know, at least a couple of hours. And I say, honestly, I'm kinda hoping it just takes me the rest of the day so I don't have to go anywhere else. And he goes, Now you're talking my language. You know i if the project gets done on time, it won't be my fing fault. And then proceeds to tell me this story about, you know, he's like, Yeah, when I was in Glasgow, you know, I Back in the day there was this old timer who I was working under, the foreman or whoever it was, you know, was getting ticked off at us 'cause, you know, he didn't think we were moving fast enough. And this old timer just looks at him and goes, Mate, I got two speeds. And if you don't like the speed I'm working now, you're gonna be real fing disappointed. ⁓ that that guy so that gentleman who ⁓ you know, obviously I'm not gonna name his name. He's just a random dude on the street and I'm not gonna grab his permission to Yeah. But he's my life co op for the week because he made my week with his ⁓ recounting his tale, just like just people being people being friendly people, you know? Yeah. Love it. We love a good real human. That's great. How about you Todd? Do you have a life co op? Yeah. Nobody comes to mind. It's okay, you don't have to have one. Yeah, you don't you don't it's not a requirement. Actually I'd like to ⁓ I'd like to go with my mum for my life co op. Alright. She's had to go through a lot lately and she still, you know, makes time to see her grandkids. I know that doesn't sound like much, but you know, without going into detail it's it's been a lot lately. ⁓ she's she's opened up her home to my father, who they've been divorced for years, just so that he has somewhere to live. That's another story. Yeah, okay. It's it's certainly more convenient, but yeah, without going into all the details, it's a good arrangement, but it's no. Another thing. And she's I don't know, she's always there for me. She's always helped me out when I need it. So thanks, Mom. You're my life co op. That's awesome. Yeah, I haven't seen her in a super long time. Sorry that she's dealing with things, but I hope things get better and you know, good on her for supporting your father too. That's Yeah. Did he live there when when ⁓ you'd met me before when when we were yeah, he was still living there in that like back room or whatever. Yeah, so that's kinda the same thing doing it again. Yeah, okay. Wow. That's great. Kinda working. I I mean, yeah, you know, suppose it doesn't have to be like picturesque and perfect, but that's a hard situation to be in. It's nice when people can be, you know, civil despite being like, Hey, we are not gonna be in this ⁓ life situation anymore together, but it doesn't mean we gotta be Yeah. Yeah, that's basically what it is. Okay. Yeah. Reasonable people being reasonable. I love it. So we are on to game of the moment. Game of destiny. The game of the moment is Goblin Company. This is what do you call this type of game? I don't even know. It's like kind of an extractor, kind of sandboxy, make the things. But like there's more of like a purpose than just make the things because you do have these missions that you have to accomplish. Mm-hmm. I don't know, ⁓ what you'd call it. This is almost like a cozy game. It's where like 'cause like we're casually just kind of building our way over to this these other things. Like it's not super stressful, but it's also still a challenge. Right. So I don't know, but it's ⁓ yeah, it's just kind of like a base building little thing. I mean I guess like we could have ch picked a harder setting and maybe there'd be more enemies or something. I don't know. More enemies and we wouldn't get to like respawn. We'd have limited lives. I have gotten to the next little section, but I can't mine through any of this rock. ⁓ crap. ⁓ no. ⁓ and I got booted into lava. I had so much on me. No no. I also just fell into lava, but I don't think I had as much stuff. I just got like kicked. What the heck? Okay, so I'd be I'd say that's that's frustrating. We need some more crystals. I'm gonna do some mining. Alright, st the type of game ⁓ it's it's it's it's a goblin game. That's what it is. It's a it's a it's a goblin game. It's a it's a chaos gremlin game. Yeah. ⁓ so and then the number of players unfortunately maxes four. I don't know why. I feel like this could really I feel like this could be like an eight player game. Yeah. Yeah, the map is huge. Yeah. There's a lot that you can do with a lot of people. This is only for PC at the moment. And let's see, the cost. ⁓ normal cost is nine ninety nine. ⁓ we got it on sale for ⁓ I died again. That cart ran me over. We got it on sale for seven ninety nine, which is the lowest it's been. ⁓ objective and story. You play as goblins. Very similar to Deep Rock Galactic. It seems like we are a company of goblins and we are trying to collect the shinies. Yeah. Can I get in this with you? No, I can't, but I can push you. Hooray. And then controls ⁓ it's kinda standard ish first person controls. I find myself pressing the wrong button a lot and like I feel like most of the challenge of the game is like trying to not accidentally kill myself. I don't know about you guys. ⁓ I've gotten used to it. I'm using the controller. I'm using keyboard and mouse and I'm doing okay. I feel like I think you're probably right, Todd. I feel Like this would be a better controller game for sure. Anytime I can use a controller, I'd do it. Yeah, some games I just like really like keyboard and mouse, but some games for sure I'm just like, this is a better controller experience. Maybe I'll try. I wish I'd shared my knowledge with you, Bob. I had those slugs all like quarantined in a in a bin. ⁓ I see what you were doing. I'm just trying to I'm trying to get my way up so I can ⁓ stop them from spawning again. That would be awesome. There, that should help. See if there's any more of those. Yeah, it's like these little like volcano rim looking things that are on the ceiling. Where did the cart go? I think maybe those little slugs might damage them. ⁓ yeah, they probably do. If you don't keep an eye on them. The the art style is it's not It doesn't look quite as similar in tur to Deep Rock Galactic in terms of like Deep G Lock Deep Rock Galactic has more of that like chunky, like ⁓ blocky ⁓ art style to it where this is like a much more smoothed, less poly look. But like I would still s I would still say like in terms of the how that the characters are proportioned and things, that type that aspect of the art. I would say it does look kind of similar to Deep Rock. Like these could almost be in the same universe. Right. But it's just like a little bit different in the style. Yeah, I can agree with that. And then all right, what do you like? What don't you like? I really like the just the functionality of the game. Like I'm I'm usually not super into ones where it's like you're kind of doing the menial task for a long time, but like man, like I'm having a great time just like Cutting through rocks with a like a little laser pistol. I don't know why this is just really satisfying to me. So the gameplay in particular is definitely hitting the spot. The controls are pretty easy, I feel like, for me at least. They've been easy. I don't have any complaints there. I'd say what I don't like is it seems like it does kind of take you a long time to get to where you need to for the objectives, but that could just be like us being like novices to the game and not knowing how to like speed our way through the task. Yeah. Like I mean otherwise, like I like the art style, I like just like the overall concept that's fun. Yeah, I I think in terms of like gameplay style, like it's less of a lot of the type of games that we play that kinda has like a you know, like a session, like a set session. And then like this is more like it's gonna take us a little while to we should save our game and then like come back to it and like have like some deep progression. Right. That's another thing that I would say that I Deep regret. I I like that ⁓ that it saved the game so like, you know, we got like kicked up because my internet apparently dropped and I liked that we were able to come back in even though it didn't save at exactly the point where we were at. I liked that we didn't lose all of our progress. Yeah, it was real easy to get back. Yeah, I was I was thankful. Yeah, that was Yeah, I was real worried that ⁓ we were about to like have to stir all over and I was like, Aww ⁓ Yeah, that would have been awful. I d I don't like how easily you lose all your stuff. Like the amount of stuff that I have that is sitting at the bottom of a lava lake right now is very frustrating. Yeah, it'd be nice if it was easier to like retrieve your body to get your things back. But I can see like why they do that. Yeah, agreed. The lava's really annoying. Yeah. It's not easy to like maneuver around. I mean maybe there's just something that we're missing. That if you know we were more used to building platforms, we could probably navigate a little better. There's a thing that when we upgrade our guns instead of digging, we can play stir, apparently. that would be helpful. We have to get our laser guns up to like tier two or something. I see increased dig radius. ⁓ okay. Why are there so many of these slugs? ⁓ I bet you there's one of the f stupid little f spawners that I gotta destroy. ⁓ there's driller upgrades. Enables drilling of the second biome material. ⁓ yeah, we need that because I got to a place where I couldn't ⁓ progress anymore. Okay. I do like that you have an inventory. I like that it gives you an inventory. I don't like that I lose it very often. Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, now that we've like lost a bunch of stuff, I just we just gotta go run out there manually no run Wicked Fire. Manually mine a bunch of stuff and then run Wicked Fire back with seven of those pink crystals. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I do like that this is just kind of like it it focuses more on the the track aspect of the the game and like the tunneling aspect and less of the like Deep Rock is fun. I l I like it, but it's very like it's a lot of things where I feel like this is a little bit more focused and I think I appreciate it for that. Yeah. Yeah, I'm definitely enjoying myself. It might be different on the other ⁓ difficulties, but this is just pretty relaxing. Mm-hmm. Yeah, like honestly, I would say like I've almost had a hard time focusing on the episode because I'm like getting so into it. But ⁓ yeah, no, it's good. I think ⁓ yeah, my biggest complaint is just the number of players. There's this game could support more. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, number number of players and the darn lava. Yeah. But other than that, yeah, I've I was really enjoying this when I was playing it last night and you guys were we we were undecided on what we were gonna play this morning. ⁓ when we were gonna start recording and I was like, if they don't have anything, I'm gonna try and get ⁓ to play this with me because I think this'll be a good one and glad I did. Yeah. ⁓ think this was good p pretty happy with this one. Yeah, very absolutely. I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this one 'cause I was like, ⁓ I don't know if I wanna play this kind of game but then I don't know. Now I'm like I'm glad we picked this one. I don't know if I would have wanted to do any of the choices that I had ⁓ called out last night at this point, so I like it. No, that one that you mentioned that has like over a hundred gigs download. I know, and it looks like such a good game, but I was like, I don't I don't wanna delete a bunch of games just to download this to play it for an episode to then delete it and re download a bunch of other games. Right. Mm-hmm. I've had to do that, yeah. Yeah. So I found out how this this l laser thingy works. The ⁓ great. What it what what was it called? The ⁓ zappy? Yeah, the zappy. Yeah. You have to give it y yeah, you give it its own dedicated minecart because once you you kind of attach it to a mine cart, but once you put it on a mine cart you can't control the the minecart train from it. But you can get in it and now you're a little turret. ⁓ and then like as you mine stuff, ⁓ no, they're now they're falling into the lava because apparently the cart is full. ⁓ no. But they n nor normally they just go right into the cart, but I think I'm full now, so I just was dropping stuff. So now I'm hit it back. Yeah. That's a technical foul. I I like that so we picked like the easy mode which gives you unlimited ⁓ torch light as long as the torch is placed. ⁓ I didn't realize. That is helpful. Yeah. So like if you ⁓ Kurt Kart inbound, I pushed it down the run track. Watch out. ⁓ okay, we're good. I don't know where it's gonna land. Yeah, ⁓ ple ⁓ No, we're good. ⁓ I got the zappy. ⁓ thank goodness. So yeah, if you place that on the empty cart, there you go. Now you now you can get in that cart and use it like a little turret. Ooh, this is a lot faster. I wonder how far the laser goes. ⁓ it doesn't have a super long range, ⁓ but it does dig pretty fast. Yeah, I do like that it doesn't take a long time for the digging process. ⁓ so this is an interesting graphical error I just found that like I'd like cut out some rock and like this column on like the top and the bottom of it so there's just like a little piece of rock suspended in the air. ⁓ yeah, I I have noticed that like it doesn't Yeah, it's not the the physics of frick. Did you get got? Yeah, I did. I got a worm fell out of a wall I was digging and just exploded in my face. I mean That's not the first time that's happened to you. No. Well stop acting so sexy to the worms. That's what it is. Yeah, you're just you're getting them all excited. Makes them explode in your face. So I've been playing this ⁓ phone game for a while now. ⁓ my son got me into it and I've never made mention of it. It's Clash Royale. It's probably a pretty popular game 'cause it's made by the same people that make ⁓ Clash of clans. I think I've never played that one. But they're always advertising, so gotta be something to it. But yeah, it's fun. I think that's probably what's been sustaining me other than coding. Okay. Mm-hmm. Nice. How about you Bob? ⁓ you know, just dispatch that whole thing. Mm-hmm. Fun fact you can just attach yourself to carts by just driving into them. ⁓ can also you can also knock them off a track by not driving into them if the there's a wall at the end of the track. Well we were playing haste. But ⁓ yeah. But yeah, he's he ⁓ I think he enjoyed it. Sometimes it's tough to read. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Sometimes kids in general are like that.
