speaker-0: Good show so far. speaker-1: Mate, it's been alright, I think when I come here now I just want to do content. Like I came here yesterday with my best pals. The reason I got into this is because my mate Chris he actually got me into it. Yeah. We came about three years ago and it was like sort of reconnected us. We were all sort of coming here just with my like schoolmates that I used to go to school with, sort of reconnected us, and then he always came to get me into cars because he did, to be fair. Yeah. And then since then I just you know it became a hobby. Obviously, I was doing the FIFA stuff. Yeah. I used to be a FIFA school. streaming on TikTok and I was getting fed up with that. I sort of saw cards as like an avenue to get away from it. So started making content on the cards and then got into car breaking and now yeah we're doing the car braking full time, having fun with it and coming to the shows and just doing vlogs. But haven't actually bought anything for my collection today. speaker-0: Nah, I was jumping in streams on TikTok and there's a lot of energy there, ain't there? speaker-1: Appreciate it man, yeah. I try to stand out by like really just giving energy and I think I feel like we're live streaming like there's always new people joining so that's why I repeat myself a lot and I'm always trying to interact with everyone, read every comment because I want people when they come to my streams to feel like they're actually getting to know me a bit and I I actually care about do you know what I mean? Yeah. speaker-0: think it's a big thing, we do it with all our brickies, it's all about, they can buy packs anyway, they can go in a shop, can do whatever, buy those packs and you've got to give them the full experience of... If they pull a card it's a big thing, innit? Yeah, yeah, exactly like speaker-1: That's it, give them a bit of energy. And it's fun as well, isn't it? put it you so you do the breaking, you're like cool you pull cool cards for people. Well, that was a tough one. You pull cool cards for people and it's like it's a good feeling, isn't speaker-0: Especially when it's someone that you've known for a while or it's a chase. It's a big old thing. speaker-1: That's it, I like hitting for the viewers that are there all the time, do you know what I mean? speaker-0: Yeah, it's cool. How do you approach a show like this from a content side? speaker-1: mate, I'm I'm I'm just the king of winging it really. I'd love to say I'm organised but I've got like a bit of an ADHD braidness all over the place and I'm not I just I'd just like to come here, be in the moment and my mindset is I'm doing a YouTube vlog. I've just bought one of these Osmos, they're good proper goods. So I just bought one of those. And I'm just like filming interactions with people really because I think I like making the YouTube vlogs where Blue collects on YouTube by the way. YouTube vlogs where We're just having conversations with people and the proper like diehards sit there and they'll watch like a half an hour video. Do you know what mean? speaker-0: I've seen you in a lot of if someone puts up something, think Jordan did it the other day about burnout and things like that. You're one the first ones in sort of... speaker-1: I want to lift people's mood. Like I feel like we all support each other, so I think you guys are really good at that. Like just really being positive and supporting everyone. Yeah. And you come up with these cool ideas, but that's it for me. Like that video that Jordan did was I've burnt out, I've done content full time for four years now and I've had so many burnouts. Like when I got to the end of my like FIFA sort of streaming and I I needed something, I just went to Australia for a month. Yeah. Switched off. speaker-0: Especially the hobbit, speaker-1: Yeah I think that's the key thing same for you guys it's it's hard to switch off from this isn't it? It really is. Which I'm not complaining like but for me I just I'm always thinking about I can't switch off unless like I go on holiday or something. speaker-0: put your phone down and you're still there in your mind, you? You've got your personal stuff because you collect it, Sarah, as well. What's in the personal collection then? speaker-1: well see I've got I like to wear my Leeds shirt. I know I don't sound like a Leeds fan, but I am a Leeds fan. I live down here. my dad's a Leeds fan, that's why I'm a Leeds fan. But for Rafinha's my big collector. I've just submitted the 101 Superfractor for grading, so we'll see how that goes. The corner's slightly scuffed. Yeah. Bit of a scratch on it as well. But for me I like Leeds and I like Barcelona. I grew up watching Ronaldinho. I'm a big messy fanboy, so that's my collection, Barcelona and Leeds. Yeah. I know yeah, I know I make I do car bracing but I'm always a collector first, like which is why I need to buy a car here before I go home 'cause I ain't bought one yet. speaker-0: think you have to be a collector to get into it, think it's too intense. speaker-1: That's it, you need to yeah, you need to really learn it and know it inside out and it takes it's overwhelming for people that are new to the hobby, like it's massive. speaker-0: Yeah, try to explain this to someone for the first time is we've got a lot of streams coming down for the first time in the walk in this like speaker-1: It's just like where do I start? And that's I remember doing it myself. I came here, I bought a Willy Nonto PSA 10 numbered to 199 for a tenner, which is like less than the grading fee. That was my first card, I've always kept that because it's like my first memory of buying graded cards. But since then, in the two years or three years that I've really got into this, I look at like the PSA submissions I used to do compared to what I do now. Like I used to submit so many random cards, like you learn it over time. Well what about you? If you're collecting, I know obviously you do a lot for these guys, but do you collect as well? speaker-0: Yeah, I click weird stuff. Not weird, like, it sounds dodgy, doesn't it? But like, I'm into the MLB Disney stuff at the minute, or... Or the NFL MLB stuff not so much, but the rest of Disney. There's a lot of cool stuff in between. speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah, I'll come see in a set mate. Still a little pop cost. Come see in a set. Come on. speaker-0: A lot of different, I think as you see it coming to the shop, you get a bit numb to it all the time. So it's like the Disney stuff, sketches, things like that. speaker-1: car's worth so much money and because you're surrounded by it you're used to it now but it's still so cool. But Disney mate I'm I'm terrible with like TV, films anything like I just watch YouTube. I'm terrible. If someone asks me about like a a film star or mate I'm terrible. I don't know any of them. Honestly speaker-0: It's mental. I think we sort of went back a step because we went to the National last month and looking at the cards there when there's like million-pound cards just sat in a top loader just in a display case. It was sort of that feeling of like, speaker-1: I'd love to know about the national. That's like that's a goal for me. I want to get to the national next year. I see people there this year and I'm like, it just looks so good. speaker-0: It's... I think I loved it because it was like five days of just geeking out. You could speak to it, there's that many tables, you could speak to someone for like two hours and turn around and like, you learn about vintage baseball and a lot of them will teach you like about the business. Like you're talking like Vlez and they're bringing you in and they're showing like the full set up and all that stuff so it was pretty cool to see like how that worked. speaker-1: Yeah, I'd love to see the American side of things 'cause I say it's all bigger and better there. the UK's growing like Mads, which is great. But I would love to see like how the Americans do it. And also, all I know in the hobby is football. Yeah. Not a little bit of Pokemon, but I'd love to venture out and learn more about the American sports and the Disney and stuff like that, like you say. Because there's so much more to it than just football. speaker-0: it's mental, we were talking about baseball and there's a trimmed card and I thought it's trimmed it's not going to be worth it all, it's still worth like 4 mil. Jesus. Yeah speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: but like this is where we get all this from, so like the idea of doing the podcast in here and the streaming stuff, it's all from going and seeing the American shows and yeah. speaker-1: The first time I use you guys was when I first got into the hobby, I got like a blue collects braking mat. Yeah. I submitted it you guys. When I first started my brakes on TikTok, I just had a black mat like completely plain. I was like, I need some branding here, so I a graphic designer to make me like a badge and stuff. And then submitted it with you guys and I still use that braking mat to this day. You've seen so many streams. Got blue collects there, it's just lovely. speaker-0: Full circuit, I probably made that. speaker-1: But you speaker-0: I would have made that back then. speaker-1: That's probably probably about a year ago now, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So there you go. But yeah. You lot of it. Up the third down designs. Legends of the game. speaker-0: Yeah, thank you for jumping out, took up too much of time. speaker-1: Mate, I'm just yeah I say I'm gonna pick up a couple more cards. I love coming on a Sunday when things are dying down a bit. Yeah. I'm speaker-0: Bit more space. speaker-1: quite lucky because I live about a fifteen minute drive from here, so I tried to come Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I didn't come Friday this year, but I like the Sunday when it's just mellowing down a bit and people trying to get their last minute deals. I'm telling you, come on the Sunday guys, it's really good. Yeah, speaker-0: You can get some sneaky stuff, can't you? speaker-1: so that's the plan now. I have a little mooch. I've got a bit of cash. About eighty quids. I'm gonna try get a nice car for eighty quids. speaker-0: We'd scar an old bassin. speaker-1: We'll see what takes my fancy. The next card I really want to get, that's a more premium one I'm saving for. Yeah. How I like to do it, I I collect a few smaller cards and then every now and then I try and save for a bit more of a treat. I want to get a Ronaldinho autograph. That's what I want. That's my next purchase. It's got one of the best autos in the game, mate. It's so good. So that's the plan for me. Ben, what a legends! Thank you very much. My name's Ben actually. How is it? speaker-0: I'm a Bradford fan so don't want to like you but you're too good not to like. speaker-1: Yeah, no.
