Makes it very nice just throw on a TV show. Yeah. That's exactly the way to go about it. When I had a treadmill, I would stare at the wall in my garage. And it was so boring. Once you hit four miles, you're like, what the F am I doing? This is boring. Yeah. But now it's like, ⁓ Put a show on. Alright, put a show on and I can keep watching it. Yeah. And the other night I was sitting there, I was like on my couch. I was like starting to watch and think, why the F am I sitting on my couch? When I could be on my treadmill just even doing a light job. And then you do something. And then you legitimately get to a point. Have you guys seen Three Body Problem? No. That that show? It's a really good show. It's a series or a movie? Yeah. It's a ⁓ series. It's called Three Body Problem. It's about like I don't I don't want to ruin it for you. It's sci fi crazy stuff, but it's really cool. It actually motivated me to do more cardio 'cause I wanted to watch the next episode. So I I started doing cardio three times a week. But I thought it would be fun today to kind of run through our gear that we have coming out. ⁓ tons of questions. I've been getting just absolutely pelted with DMs and emails asking about stock and then also, you know, about individual items themselves. So I thought it'd Be fun today to run through. Yeah, because we've been teasing these pieces for a long time. Man, we have. Because we've been developing them for a long time. Too long. And on honestly, I would feel like I feel like I owe an apology to folks for like you get into the process and you start down a road and it's like we're trying to make a product just perfect, right? We want it to fit perfect. We want it to meet the specs that we're looking for. Function even better. Yeah. And sometimes you think you're pretty close and then you'll get a sample and you're like, yeah, we're there, but we're not quite there. Yeah. So All that takes time and you have to end up kind of moving it down the road a little bit to eventually land at something that you're really, really happy with. Which I'm stoked about because I don't feel like we made any allowances. It's not like we kicked out a product that was like, ⁓ this is ninety percent of the way that we want it, you know, and but we need it. Let's just do it and kick it out. Like I don't feel like we went that route. I felt like we that's the DNA of that's like one of the most proud things of ⁓ of go hunt that I am is like we've never done anything to just say we have it or just say we do it. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. It's always like it's gotta be it's gotta be up to our ⁓ standards. Which you two are extremely hard to please. I thought I was. Yeah, we get clothing in front of us. Yeah, we're gonna you two are very hard to please. Even Just like size of baffles or zippers or zipper placements or pocket placements. Again, you guys are very hard to place. Yeah. Trying to make something that's the weight range we want. I actually think it's a good thing. Yeah, materials I'm pretty I'm pretty particular about, but I'm really particular about fit. Yeah. Like I just want the thing to fit right. Fit and function. Fit and function for sure. Move with you. There's not lit literally nothing pisses me off more than buying a piece of gear. You get it, you're excited about it. And it might have the material and durability and all the things that you want in it. But durability to But if it does not fit, man, I just don't want to wear it. Yeah. I just put it put it in my closet and I never use it. Yeah. Yeah. I think this the stuff has to fit as well as function. So I'm I'm always really particular about that. so I guess to dive into it, maybe just like a good like question out the gate for all of us would be like, why did we decide to do Like why have we decided to like continue to expand in this line of apparel? What are you guys' thoughts on that? I think it's just because we've used and been fortunate to use so many different pieces of gear over the years and there's obviously pieces we really like and there's pieces, you know, that we think could be some improvements on, and it's just Yeah, of our style. That's you know, it's like why we did the pants, 'cause we wanted a certain pant, fit a certain way, had the certain right materials, moved with us, had the zip zippers dumped heat in certain areas and just like natural progress progression is like we need a full kit then. Full kit of all the stuff that we're really proud of and we think would excel in the mountains and all these things right in front of us would crush for any hunter, no matter what level they're at, just starting out, experienced, advanced. And yeah, just get something that we're we're proud of and then we can use and survive and thrive in the mountains. And yeah, just overall I don't know, it's been a long process, but I think we nailed it on you know, developing the pieces we want to develop and the why is just we wanted some really good pieces out there that's not at a stupid crazy high price point too. But also not chasing the bottom price point either. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Yeah. Look, why why we even started it from the beginning is cause I genuinely think we have the team in house that's like v s ultra particular. Yeah. Like Brady said, have been fortunate enough to try and use everything. Mm-hmm. And it's fun. Like this it it really is fun. It's a l it's a lot of fun to have your own brand. This is coming from me personally. Like it's a lot of fun to have your own brand and you you're wearing it. And it's it's a lot of fun. The other thing too is we don't need we're not a a ⁓ you know through and through apparel brand. We don't need to do it. Like it's not Yeah. We don't need these huge margins. We don't need this. We don't need that. Because we have this other side of our business that is, you know, that's our our breadwinner, so to speak. I thought about that today, same thing. That's our breadwinner. So we we don't need to do this. And we don't need to have, you know, these ultra high margins and all this stuff to like be a business around it. Which those guys do and all fairness to them, like that that is what it takes. But for us it's like We can offer it at a really awesome price point because we don't need to do this. And it's fun. So you put those two things together, plus having the in-house team that is ultra particular, you two, that are like the hardest people ever to please and have worn literally everything from like the crazy out-of-the-box brands that you've brought in over the years that I've never even heard of. European brands and this this thing and that thing. It's like we've been exposed to so much. Now we get to It's been fun to wear your own brand. Like it's ⁓ you know for sure self-fulfilling thing. I was thinking about it on the way down today, the like the why 'cause I was kinda run through some questions. But yeah, I I Look, it's it's kind of a pain in the ass to be honest. Like when you think about developing gear, it's not easy. It's like not cut and dry and it's been way more complicated than It's a fulfilling thing, Mel. It is it is super fine. It is super fulfilling fulfilling. Yeah, to have these like laying here on the table now and to know that like we're gonna unpack boxes and put ⁓ up on the site. It it is super f yeah, it's it's way fulfilling. It's satisfying. But then ⁓ Yeah, and the the question kind of boiled down to me is like, man, why did we ever start down this like hallway of like, ⁓ we're gonna develop like a an apparel system, like an actual full-on layering system kit that, you know, we can put out into the world that people can use and they can go pursue their own adventures. And I got to thinking about it. It's like one is because there's there there's a lot of good gear on the market, but and I and ⁓ like you said, we've used a lot of it. Like I don't think It probably isn't a down there there might be one brand that I can think of that like I have not owned their down jacket. I don't know if I I don't know if that's true. I don't think I I'm trying to remember if I've owned a first light down jacket. That one I don't know for a fact, but I've owned Sika, Couyou, you know, Mont Bell, like Outdoor Research, Black Diamond, Arc Turret. Arteryx, ⁓ North Face like there's Rab. Yeah, Rab. I don't know that there's a down jacket that I can think of like That's kind of in that main, you know, stream that I haven't owned. Yeah. And in particular to Down, as I was thinking about it, it's like, well, yeah, there's a lot of Stone Glacier. There's a lot of really good down jackets that I've had and been like, yeah, that was good, but it wasn't, it didn't do what I wanted it to do. Yeah. And like maybe I'm a moron and I'm like very particular in what I want, but what I want in a down jacket like didn't exist. Not a moron. But very particular, yes. Yeah. Like beyond. Yeah, because it's like I wanted a Well, I mean maybe this is a good point to like dive into the down and since we got here sitting at the top of the top of the list. But a lot of down jackets are lightweight, which you're like, yeah, I want a lightweight down jacket, because lightweight's great, right? Ounces make pounds and pounds make pain in your backpack, Spray likes to say. Yep. ⁓ I adhere to that, but you know what sucks worse is to like pack a jacket that just is not warm enough. Yeah. You're like, I'm still kind of cold. Yeah. I've packed this thing this whole way. Yeah. For a reason. And you're getting a glassing down and you want to be super fragile because it is so lightweight. It's kind of keeping me in the game, but I'm not really all that comfortable. Yeah. So it's like I've had those conversations with myself when I've been on a glassing point and it's cold. Yeah. I'm like, would I trade an extra two or three ounces for down fill? Yes. Yes. And to not like have to baby it at the same time to open Yeah, that I can lean back into a rock or a tree and I don't have to worry about it ⁓ leaking down or, you know, carrying extra Luko tape to tape up all the you know, the individual rips and and shit that happens to you to your down jacket. So yeah, I mean, I think when I when I dive into like why, I think that's why. Like that's the ultimate why for me, I think, is like I wanted to I wanted to be I have a hand in designing gear that met the specs that I wanted. Yeah. For the type of hunting that I do. So and it has been fun. It's really cool to throw on a down jacket and I love a good down jacket anyway. Yeah. And from the brand perspective, it's like all that stuff I said, we don't have to do it. We don't have to do it the same way as everyone else. Like we can you know, we can offer it at what I feel like is a good price. A great price 'cause we don't need all that stuff that everyone else does. And it's really self fulfilling to wear your own brand. Mm-hmm. Yeah, you pick your own colors. Yeah. It's great. But I'll keep ⁓ I'll keep losing that. There was a prototype black down somewhere. There is one still. Hit a goose pit with me and did not make it out alive. Which is why we changed the exterior material. Hmm. Yeah, good good to know. I was in testing and that was one of the main reasons we changed the material on the outside. Yeah. Their thing is fun too, and like the kind of the why part is there's a lot of great pieces, but it seems like they cut things short. On certain areas of your body when when you're on a hunt, like you want a little bit of added length, like on a down jacket. Like I don't want the ones that are like right at my waistline. So I'm sitting there glassing and leaning forward, you know, my upper back area is getting cold. Like you give plunged torsos. But like a lot of say, like, ⁓ you guys just cater stuff to tall, skinny guys, which that's not fully true. I'm the furthest thing from tall and skinny. Yeah. The furthest thing. The added length in certain areas is specifically for hunting. Yeah. And like the benefits of that you will see when you're wearing these pieces. It's not gonna be overly long, but it's like a little bit added length on your back or you know, certain areas that's gonna function well, like a rain jacket, a little bit longer. Yeah. Drop tail in the back. So you like it covers everything. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Not big fans of plumber's crack, as it turns out here. No. It's and like I said, I'm I'm not that tall and not that skinny. And it's like it's made for a reason. It's to cover you and The stuff it needs to cover. So even just those like little tiny things have been a big benefit in designing our own apparel line, specifically for Huns. Yeah, that's the thing. Like if you only ever bought one down jacket, you only know it's you know, right? And you take it out. But fortunately we were in a spot where I've I've bought and used or been given, you know, down jackets over the years. So it's like I can compare and contrast all the the various things that I like and don't like about a down jacket and then put it into ours. ⁓ so let's run through the down. ⁓ so we have down jacket and pants as well. ⁓ we got two different colorways. So we got this dirt color, which I really did. We'll love to get black, you know. If anybody wants to hop on the comment train with me and help us get some black in here, that'd be great. For now, yep. Yep. We'll get that out of the out of the way. ⁓ Brady run us through some specs if you want to and the whys. ⁓ Yeah, so down jacket, we'll start with the down jacket. Nine hundred fill power. Mm-hmm. Warm. What do you know about fill power? I know that more is better. More higher is better. Nine hundred fill power. Higher is warmer. So you but you combo that with our fill weight. Do you guys know how they determine fill power? Yeah, I remember you you told me this one. They take down and they put those clusters in a colander essentially and they measure the amount of loft, like how much loft and the higher it lofts. The higher the down fill power. And the higher the fill power, the more lofty those individual clusters are. So you're trapping that dead airspace between the individual clusters, which is gonna trap that that's where you get your warmth for, right? So you can have a down jacket that weighs less, that is warmer because you're trapping more airspace between those down clusters because it's warmer. Mm-hmm. So nine hundred fills about as good as it can get. Yeah. I was pretty adamant about down. You wait. You were very active. No, not enough. Not enough. The ones we took to New Zealand. We need more fill power. Yeah. For sure. And that's what was cool. I think you did that three times? Two times. At least two, I can remember. Yeah, it was it was two or three. But like that first one we got and we took it to New Zealand, like that was what, two years ago now? Yeah, year and a half. Yeah, almost two years. That's crazy to think, actually. I think we had them a little before that. That was the first like actual full hunt we went on. Like that's why it's like we talked earlier about, yeah, it's great coming out with clothes, but then the process of designing it and getting it perfect takes a long time. So you want to test it in all these different environments to fully see how it works. And luckily we do have a decent amount of hunts between all of us that we can take these out and test it and give it to other people. And hey, you're going on a crazy hunt. Let's mail you a jacket, test it out a little bit for us. ⁓ so that whole process just takes time. But it was cool to have some of those old samples, go on a hunt with it and be like, Hey, we need more of X because of this reason, because we are cold or whatever. So yeah, nine hundred fill. Well then it gets to the point where like then we had the nine hundred fill, it was plenty plenty warm, but it went into a snow goose pit with me and the material was not right. Yeah. So then you gotta fix that too. And when we go with the nine hundred fill, we have fill weight. Hundred and ninety five grams, which is six point eight seven ounces roughly. Which is more down than mo most other jackets that you'll see in our space. Yeah. So compared to a bunch of them, I don't know what the name brands or whatever, but like compared to ⁓ bunch of these in the shop, ours has more fill weight than the other down jackets out there. And better power, better fill weight. Better power. So we have more down clusters. It's more lofty, as you can see. It's very, very lofty. All right. We have bigger baffles. That was one thing we kept fine tuning and adjusting 'cause I think that first one we had. Yeah, baffle design and size adds a lot to the whole thing. Yeah, 'cause you wanna have enough space in those baffles for those clusters to fully expand, right? So if the baffles are relatively small and you have really lofty clusters down, you're not giving them the space to like fully expand. So it's like you want to have a wide enough ba baffle that you get full expansion of those the that fill power, that nine hundred fill power. Cool, keep going. I'm into it. White goose down and it is treated down. Yep. All right. Our down to feather ratio, another thing that I think we're very proud of. So we have ninety-four percent down and six percent feather. So if you compare spec to spec with a bunch of other brands, a lot of their brands are like ninety percent down and ten percent feather. So you'd prefer to have more down rather than the feather. Yeah. Because we have won want more clusters in that. More loft. More loft to it. For sure. So that was big. And then total weight. Total jacket weight in a size large, four hundred and fifty grams, which is roughly fifteen point eight seven ounces. So again, if you're comparing spec to spec, you'll be be like, Well, your down jacket is maybe roughly two ounces heavier than some of the other ones out there. But where we make that up in though is one and a half ounces more insulation, all that ⁓ fill weight. More down. More down again. Warmer. Warmer. So it comes at, yeah, why would you want to have a lighter weight jacket again, chase that lightweight gain game, but not be as warm? Mm-hmm. Yeah, you get a more fragile, more less warm jacket. Yeah, and you want the outer face material too to be durable. We don't want something that's super ultra light where like you're sitting there glassing, you're gonna lean back on a rock, or you have branches next to you, and you have to be totally concerned constantly about that. It's still a down jacket at the end of the day. Yeah, it's not meant for bust and brush. It's not a soft shell jacket. Not a soft shell. but all those things we wanted together to create our own jacket that is super, super warm, still very lightweight. But you're gonna be comfortable when you put it on and be actual warm when you're glassing. Yeah. When we started designing a down jacket, I remember the very first conversation I had when in in-house when we started designing it was I remember sending our guy, like, this is the fill weight that I want. Like that was the first spec that I hit because I had all these down jackets and I went through. Figured out how much downfill each one had. And I was like, it needs to be this. That was like the first spec, which that's the thing I'm probably the most excited about as we landed at a fill weight, which I think is like right in the wheelhouse for everything that you need to do. You can use this in September on an elk hunt and you're in the high country and you have those mornings that are cold, those evenings that are cold. Over a merino. Yeah, you can throw that thing on. It's less than a pound. It's gonna keep you warm, or you can layer that thing over the top of a mid layer in October, November, and you're still going to be warm. Yep. So that like fill fill rate, like that weight was like the most that was the most important space. Yeah, you weren't coming off that one. No. That was your thing. That was ⁓ yeah, I wanted to stay glued to that. Then I'm all for being warmer. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, what's the use of packing it if it's not warm enough, right? Yeah. I I hate suffering through a hunt if you're cold. You're just sitting there and you're like, man, I'm like, okay, but I'm not comfortable. Yeah. That's the worst. Mm-hmm. Completely agree. Yeah, run us through what else you have. Just that water repellent finish on the outer ⁓ under fabric as well. It's a little bead water. Bead water. It's obviously not a rain jacket though. good po the pocket placement was another thing we kept working with, like the angle of the pocket, the distance from where the pocket starts to the bottom of the jacket. So you still could, you know, buckle with a Backpack on and still access your pockets. ⁓ obviously you can zip them up as well. Hood, still really warm, still has a little cinch cord on the back to tighten it down if you need to. the cuffs on the end too are very, very comfortable. Like you'll notice that when you put it on. It's not too tight, it's not too big, it actually, you know, can move with you. So if bigger wrist guy like Lorenzo. Yeah, we actually did like a an elastic fitted or I don't know, ⁓ like a stretchy fitted cuff. Instead of just running the down all the way down to the wrist where it can't move with you. Yeah, why k y KK zippers on the down. Mm-hmm. You can put it on. You can put it on. Cover up those guns. Cover up the guns a little bit. Yeah, the neck comes up high enough so you can kinda pull that up up up underneath your chin. We I know we had a lot of discussion about that and the way that fits. And opening up the neck a little bit because nothing drives me more crazy than trying to make sure the hit the hood fit really good. It looks good on you. So obviously if you're watching on YouTube you can see this. If you're listening, you can't see me right now. Sorry. But yeah. Super lofty. Cent cord in the bottom of the waist. Yep. You can cinch everything down. Yep. Kind of pull that in, tuck it. Looks good. Looks great. Doesn't look good? Yeah. I'm really si I'm really super And you're legit warm when you put this on. Yeah, well in the comments say you want a black colorway though, please. Help me out. I've been outvoted multiple times. Yeah, when we talked to Lane, I remember kinda running through some specs and stuff and just kinda kicking kicking it back and forth and I remember the one thing that he said that keeps jumping out at me. He's like I I mean I don't know, but all I really know is it's warm as shit. It is so warm. It is really warm. Yeah, and still packable. ⁓ you can compress that thing down. I mean, that's another great thing about ⁓ a high fill power is that it still collapses really well. You can pack that down into a really small stuff sack. We do include a stuff sack with it. There you go. I didn't And it's not one of those stuff sacks that's like overly too small where you can barely get it in there. Mm-hmm. It's a hand workout to get it to go back in. Yeah, I hate that. As always, if people don't know, do not store your down jacket or down sleeping bag in a compression step. Like that thing hanging when you get home, put it in a hanger, put it in your closet. Let it get lofty. Mm-hmm. I think you can get about three days out of it, but I wouldn't want to leave it anywhere any longer than that. Yeah. I'm always concerned about that when I pack for hunts when I have to fly. And so if I wait to compress my down to the last second, yeah. Just to make sure it's still gonna be golden. Because it'll collapse those clusters. ⁓ yeah, nice. run us through the pants. So pant pretty much We couldn't just we couldn't just do a down jacket. Yeah. We had to do down pants because I think Across the table here, down pants is pretty much one of our very favorites of all gear pieces. I'll we'll start from the beginning on this one. You were the first one to bring down pants into this whole thing when you very, very first started with us. I was? Yeah. No shit. You had those rab down pants and you got everyone on board with down pants. And it's dude, it is It's the most underrated piece of gear. I completely beam everywhere. The most underrated piece of gear is a pair of down pants. No questions asked. And it does not even have to be that cold on your hunt to make these worthwhile. You throw those things on, you're so cozy. You're comfy. So nice. You can sit for hours behind your optics. Just takes the edge off. You buck the wind a little bit. Man, down pants are the best. It's the it is the most underrated piece. So ever since that day, what how long ago was that now? Seven years? Me? I've been here twelve. It's 12 years time wise. Holy shit. That's crazy. So yeah, I mean, it's like it's been in all of our backpacks since since that day. I don't think there was ever a question that we weren't gonna do a down pan with a down jacket. It was gonna be a combo. You have to do both. The most underrated piece of gear. For sure. Hands down. I completely agree with that. So I'm gonna hold them up. You can walk through a little bit because probably probably won't be able hear me. But the same outer face, same Nine hundred fill power. Mm-hmm. Same fill weight. Right? Yep. Same fill weight. Same same down weight. Yep. The only kind of big difference is you'll see we have slightly more waterproof beefed up. And more abrasion resistant fabric down at the bottom where your feet are. So if you're walking around in it, obviously again you're not gonna want wanna walk around too much because you're gonna you know beat it up or get way too hot. But you do have that little added protection down at the bottom. And you have that on the ass side as well. So a little reinforced section right there. Yeah, 'cause you're always sitting on your butt. You always are, whether it's a glassing pad, you slide off your glassing pad or whatever. There is one pocket on the right side. Love that. That was my buttons here. That was my thing. That was Lorenzo's ass. Yeah, because you always what put a pair of down pants on and you have your phone out or whatever. Rokan. Rokan. Well at first I remember being like, we don't need a pocket and down pat and I fought it for a while. You did feed you fought me for a while. This is one by the way, this is one though the one thing I have won in our discussions of what we're doing with gear. I have lost every single thing other than this. All other than this. And I was very happy to get a front pocket rocan. Yeah, I'm gonna gloves. Some phone. I'm gonna eat crow and I'm gonna admit that the down the the pocket on the down pant was pretty nice. It's really handy to just bring us back to our internal arguments. You wanted a back pocket on the pants so bad. I know, and I got it. And I lost. And that was the right decision. ⁓ d I don't know. I've lost on that one. However, you were the guy that didn't want the pocket on the down pants. And I w I'll agree too. I was also a person who did not want the pocket on the down pant, but I've used this down pant in extreme, extreme cold temperatures. And there's times when I want a digiscope, it's super cold. I have an older phone, so my phone battery dies very easily. So when I'm not using my phone to digiscope, I shove it right inside there. That's great. So it stays warm. It's awesome. Very handy. It's not like way up top in another down jacket pocket. It's readily readily accessible. Yep. And my phone stays warm. So I can save the battery. You learn this with big thigh problems. When you sit down and everything gets bunched up, yeah, you have access through those zippers into your like pants pockets. Dude, all that is so tight on my legs when I'm sitting down. I have to really move to get my hands like in the side of the down pan, into my pant pocket. Lot of tight material in there. The other thing is space. The other thing I didn't anticipate that I've used that for is like if I am sitting on a wall or something like that. ⁓ it's really nice just to be able to throw your release in that front pocket. Yeah. And I'll wear those down pants if I'm on a long sit in September and it's cold in the high country. It it's a really handy spot to just stick your release or your phone or both. Rogue can. Rogan or that thing's gotta be on tap all the time. Yep. What el what else you got? Full length zips. along the sides so you can put it on, take it off without taking your boots off. Clear to the hip. Clear to the hip. ⁓ you have a built-in belt, which is super handy, super easy to get on and off. Tighten that thing down if you need to. And then I can't remember what we actually called this material on inside. But again, you guys are watching, we have a different type of material on the inside that goes around your name for that. And crotch is the disco. Disco something? No. It's reflective. It it basically holds in heat. Yeah, it it traps and holds in body heat body heat in your little core area. Mm-hmm. And then in your nether regions. The nut roaster. The nut roaster. The nut roaster. Okay. That's what we were calling it. Yeah. So yeah, I'll try to show that on camera, but you can see it's a different material on the inside in those areas up top. Where like a lot of your body heat is, and you want to keep that's we reinforced that with the nut roaster material. Yep. So it's a cool little added feature to it. And they're long enough to fit over your boots. They're actually a little bit longer, ⁓ built purposely so, so that when you're sitting down, you're glassing and you got your knees up, they're not gonna pull up and above your boots. They're still gonna be able to your ankles and again where the added length makes sense. Yep. Yeah, a little bit longer just to to keep that length over your boots when you're sitting down, you got your knees bent. ⁓ All these little intricacies that like I don't know. And you really only probably know this stuff if you spend a lot of days out in the woods. Yeah. And I don't want a I don't want a tailored length down pant. I want it to cover me when I have my knees up, when I'm moving around. I want that added length. For sure. I don't care that it bootstacks a little bit and it's not tailored looked. Yep. ⁓ let's talk a little bit about fit. We didn't we didn't really talk too much about the down jacket, but we can talk about it and the pants. ⁓ It's not the most athletic fit. Purposely so. Yeah. Like I hate an athletic cut down jacket. That's what I was saying. Like that tailored fit. That's not what it's for. It's purposely built, fitted, so that you can layer underneath it. You can put a base layer, you can put a mid layer, like a grid fleece hoodie, or an atmosphere jacket, and you can put your down over the top of it without losing the the loft. You're not compressing every your system. So when you're explaining this, if you are normally a size large You're getting a size large and down. Sized appropriately. Yep. Yeah. So you don't have to size up. And it's made to move and function over the top, not look tailored. Mm-hmm. Exactly. Anything else you want to say about down? I mean, honestly, I love our down products. I think we hit an absolute home run. I'm Super glad we did all the tests we did. I'm glad we had the first samples to know this was not it and we could refine it because we still had the ideas of you know increasing the baffle, increasing the fill weight, getting that fill power where we wanted to, get the fit nailed down. overall home run, complete home run on these two pieces and then taking all biases out of it. Like if I saw these and it wasn't working here and compared other specs to it, like these are ones I would buy and consider actually purchasing for a hunt. Objectively I would buy these. Like if I was just comparing a bunch of different products from different companies within our space or even outside our space and I was looking at what each one offered for what I want to do, I would buy this product. Objectively. Like I think the the fill rate, the fill power, the size of the baffles, the fit, function, everything's there exactly the way I would want it. So I'm I'm really happy with it. Which is A long process, as you said, almost two years. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just gonna be honest, it has a go hunt logo, so I would wear it. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's awesome too. But I'm just saying, like if you were just talking materials, it's all there. For sure. Yeah. I'm really excited about it. It's gonna keep you warm, it's gonna keep you safe, gonna keep you out in the mountains, glassing, hunting longer and more comfortably. It's like, yeah, check the boxes that you need in a down. Mm-hmm. Yeah, and it'll run you from, like I said, all the way from ⁓ high country in September through October, November, December. You probably see me sitting in a tree stand in it in November somewhere in the Midwest. Your little white tail sabbatical. My little white tail sabbatical. Can't wait for that. Yeah. ⁓ you ready to do you wanna talk reindeer? Yeah. Let me move some of these off the table. So, yeah, down. But how would you say about sound? Sound. I mean it's not the most quiet, but it's also not not the intent, the purpose, right? Like I could have made that thing out of Berber fleece, but it would have weighed thirty ounces. Or you know. ⁓ not not my intent. I wanted something that was light and packable, still raised resistant. Mm-hmm. So, ⁓ I can shoot an elk off a wallow with it. I that. No problem. Yeah. Okay. Down, going down. Look at that little going Going down, down an earlier run. It just looks so good. Yeah. Yeah, run us through rain gear. Rain gear. Why rain gear? You always have to have rain gear, no matter what where you're going. I know. Just the same thing as down. I was thinking about it. It's like how often do I actually use my rain gear? And I was like, it's my pack every every day. That's the funny thing. Every single day. Living in southern Utah. I probably use it five percent of the time. I would say but how much is it on you? It's in my pack a hundred percent of the pack. A hundred percent of the time. 'Cause if you get wet and you're drenched and you're soaked and cold, like you're done. That's over. Done for the for the for the day for sure. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So you always have to have rain gear. It's like it's like a necessary evil. You gotta have it. Yeah. But when you do when you do need it, you want it to be something that you can actually put on and you feel good about putting on. Like it's gonna keep you dry. It's lightweight enough that you can pack it. It fits right to fits right so you can still hunt in it. Mm-hmm. It's not a trash bag. It's not too tight. Yeah. Because obviously there's no stretch in rain gear. Right. So it's got to be very particular on the fit. For me it comes down to also packability. Let me let me let me rewind a little bit. Let me let me go back. I got a leading question. I think it'd be good one. So there's a lot of different types of rain gear. Can you guys hear that dinghy? I thought I could hear it. ⁓ Is that the front door? Is that the front door? That's what that is. Yeah, you're right. So you a customer who wants to buy some down right now. Somebody wants to buy some down gear right now. They're at the front door. You're right. ⁓ okay, so the question is there's a lot of different types of rain gear. You can get frog togs, which is like plastics, right? Trash bag. If if yeah, trash bag. Like if you're working on a you know, a crab and ship and the what, the P V C full rubber. That's probably what you want. There's also your more heavy-duty, like soft shell, stormproof type rain gear. Alaska. Alaska. That's not what we It's not what we do. So yeah, why why this rain gear? Because it's the perfect thing for majority of Western hunting adventures from anything out west. Even I'm gonna be taking this to Alaska as well. It's like it can do it all. But it's also not something that I'm going to hate carrying every single day and then leave it, and that's gonna be the day that I'm gonna get a nasty rainstorm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's still lightweight, it's still very, very high on the waterproof rating and packability. It's extremely high on the waterproof rating. Yeah. Like Lorenzo, what would you say is like the ideal hump for this rain gear? The ideal hunt? Yeah, like what did you build this rain hunt? I mean, it's it's built for us. It's built for a Western hunter. You get in one of those crazy rainstorms, September High Country, which I've been caught in multiple times. Archery mule deer hunt. Yep. Archery Alk hunt. So one where this honestly where this came from was Omar's ⁓ high country mule deer hunt. When we got stuck in a rainstorm underneath a tree and he got stuck on the opposite ridge from us because he was on the deer. He was soaked. I was not. Two of the guys we were hunting with and helping us, they we all had different reindeer on and everyone was in some way or another like wetter than others. Mm-hmm. And then also more comfortable than others. And that's what it was built for. As a Western hunter where, you know, it's not that storm proof, like rubberized ⁓ what do you call that? Like wrist collars, rubberized neck collars. It's not that over yeah, it's not a dry suit. 'Cause we Hunt in the West, but it can downpour out here. So the the you know what I mean? It's not like a that ultra lightweight, super packable. And it's not the storm front, you know, on a crab boat. It's made for us. Right. It's made for our purposes. Yeah. We can hunt in it. Yeah. It's comfortable. Fits over the top, everything, so you can still move. You're not hunkered down. Yeah, the reason I keep hammering I I wanted to hammer on that is because I think use case scenario like matters, right? Like what is this piece of rain gear? Why should you buy it? Yeah. So for a western it's built for a Western hunter. You can hunt in it, you're not gonna get wet. Yep. Packable? Packable. It's still packable. It's just not that ultra lightweight stuff, which is why Omar was soaked. Yep. Breathable. and that was very, very breathable. The the last line of testing for this. This was literally in the ⁓ Washington flood rainstorms when I was duck hunting out there. This is what I wore. And it I mean, it flooded the entire valley. You guys all saw that on T V, right? Like Seattle had crazy rainstorms this year, all North Washington. I was the only one dry. It's great. I'm like, okay, that's that's a good enough test for me. I wore it in Arizona last year on that late archery hunting in ⁓ November and we had record levels of rain. You don't normally equate Arizona and rain, but that November last November. If you have a tag, I I would have I would have liked if it would have let up a little bit, but ⁓ it rained hard for probably eight days. Well I'm just saying ⁓ like the next year are like hell yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Absolutely. But yeah, I mean it kept me dry and it was packable enough. I didn't mind throwing it in my backpack every single day. ⁓ Runos so between that and the Washington, like we were We were sold on it. Sure. Yeah. Run us through specs. Specs. All right. Waterproof rating. Think this is one of the most important. This and weight packability. Yeah. It's very important. For sure. Yeah. I mean, what what good is rain gear if it's not waterproof, right? Yeah. And there is a legitimate rating scale. Yeah. So this is obviously tested in a lab and test out as thirty seven thousand seven hundred and twenty millimeters of waterproof rating, which if you compare spec to spec. Other stuff we carry in the shop, other stuff carry we don't carry in the shop. It is higher than a lot of options out there when it comes to packable, lightweight. Lightweight packable rain gear. Yep. So that thirty seven seven twenty millimeters of waterproof protection essentially is the higher that number, the more pressure it can withstand before it starts to leak, right? And a lot of a lot of rain gear, unless it's like plastics, right? Is ⁓ Less than that. So it's a lot of a lot of our comp I competitors will throw in quotes, but a lot of competitors are other brands that make range in our spaces, right around that thirty thousand. ⁓ ours is slightly better. ⁓ we'll just there's a common theme which we all agree, the the ultralight packability. Mm-hmm. That that train went a little too far. Yeah. It it went a little too far. When it comes to down and it comes to rain gear and it comes to all this stuff. Like it it just went a little too far. Yeah. And I've been there before. Yeah. Count ounces as much as I can, count grams, like everything. ⁓ We all we all chase that same thing, but it does come down to like, well, if you're packing it and you are using it, it needs to do what it was supposed to do in the first place. And there is a magic line. Like there's always give and take to everything. And we're just, you know, we're Yeah. We want it to function. There's allowances I'm willing to make for for weight. Yeah. In lieu of Functionality. The entire industry just chased the ultralight packability a little too far. For sure. Breathability rating. Okay. Another very important thing when you're hiking around where hunt in it. You can move in it. Yep. So this is our breathability rating is over three thirty three thousand three hundred and seventy nine grams per square meters over twenty four hours. Mm-hmm. What does that mean in the real world? Because you can hike around in it. Better than others. Yeah. Still rain gear, but you can reindeer, but it's gonna be wearing it. It's better breathability than the other stuff. I've had the experience of wearing reindeer before and hiking around in it and you know, you're really exerting yourself and you're going for it, climbing up a peak and you get up to the you know, your high point where you want to be and it's still raining and you're like, Man, I'm wet. Yeah, you're soaking what we all say soak from the inside. Soak from the inside. Yeah. Yeah. It's you're not your your reindeer is not it's not doing a good enough job of moving moisture from your skin. out. So you're you're essentially soaking yourself from the inside. Yeah. And I'm not saying it's a terrible feeling, but let's just hate that feeling. It's clammy. Yeah. That soak from the inside out is a brutal feeling. Yeah. So you want a high waterproof rating and you want a high breathability rating. For sure. And I'm not I'm not going to claim that this thing is like gonna breathe like a it's rain gear. A quick dry. It's rain gear, right? Yeah. So there's a there's a fine line there between being waterproof But then also being available to like move moisture from the inside out. Yeah. And then we do have so those are both important. Talk to me about weight, total weight before we move on. Since total weight. All right. We'll jump down total weight. 400 grams, which is 14.1 ounces, which does weigh less than a lot of options out there. There is obviously some that are lighter weight, like we talked about, but you're sacrificing a lot when you get to those true. Ultra, ultra light pieces of rain gear, you're probably not gonna be as highly waterproof as If you're ch I mean it's it there's allowances and everything. Yeah, there's allowances and everything. So if you are chasing weight, you're going to be giving up breathability and rain protection. It's just it is what it is. Yeah, it's three layer, so bonded. Yep, three layer construction, fully seam taped. Yep. So your zippers aren't gonna leak? Yep. And the nice thing is too, does have pit zips here on the side. Help from the inside out. You can dump heat when you're hiking around. Brady loves a good zip. Big zips to dump heat. He's always dumping heat, dude. Always talking about dumping heat. I am dumping heat when I'm hiking around. That is for sure. ⁓ another interesting thing too on this, ⁓ so we're using RBR zippers rather than YKK. Whatever they call it, waterproof zippers. So these zippers, we tested both. I think the first sample we might have had ⁓ YKK and then we moved over to these to test. So in our testing in the field, this was better. And in the controlled pressure test in a lab, these zippers performed better. Did better. So that's why we went with these zippers rather than a YKK zipper. We had anecdotal evidence of us in the field and then also it outperformed it in actual test. Yep. Okay. Hand pockets? Hand pockets. So we have a little garage keeper up here. So when you get to rain, that's gonna go down on your jacket. It's not gonna go in if you don't zip this all the way up. It adds a little bit protection there for when these are already zipped all the way up. So that's a little cool feature there. A little garage for it. High enough too, deep enough pockets you actually can put things in there. That's the main that was our main thing there too, is actually having a deep enough pocket to get your hand All the way in there and out of the rain. Yeah, because sometimes you want to put gloves in there. You might put your cell phone, might put something else in there that you want to keep keep dry or whatever. And then be able to zip that thing up, have it not get wet is very important on a hunt, and still be able to use a backpack underneath or over top of your pocket area and your hook in the wet. Talk to me about cuffs and then the hood. Cuffs, 'cause you have a little velcro adjustable cuff here so you can set it down. And over your wrists. Yep, cinch it down, adjust it wherever you want. Super easy. The hood also has the adjustable pull cord on the back, so you can fit it to it. I guess I could pull it down again like I did the other one. We also have like a bit of a ball cap front to to that. Yeah. Nothing's more frustrating than having your hood on. But your bill of your hat is still getting soaked and it like moves its way back to your head and now your entire hat's soaked. Yep. So it's got a little bit of a bill built into the hood. Look at that. So that's what's sweet. Yep, collar goes up a little bit higher. Yep. So you tuck this thing to come down or the bill. You can tuck your chin. You get a bill out over the edge of your hat. Inch down the back. Pit zips. Pit zips as we talked about. Dump heat. And it looks good. Yeah. Looks great. What do you guys think of the color? I love the color. Do you? Yeah, I love it. One thing should I know you're not overly. No, I love it. I picked it, yeah. I love the color. Yeah, man, I went with I went with it. I loved it. Okay. Yeah, I like the two tone green. And there's an important thing too on the two tone because it actually is more reinforced up here in the shoulder areas for backpacks and that's where majority of the water's gonna hit you. It's two di two different materials. Yeah, so the body of it's actually a little bit lighter and then those reinforced shoulders, the hood and then your seat kind of sit behind your back there. You gotta drop hem. Yep. ⁓ that's a different material well s as well. So it's got more durability built into those sections of the rain jacket that matter the most. Good reference for a size large. But it fits and it's packable. So you're gonna fourteen ounces. Yep, fourteen point one. So a couple ounces less than a pound. ⁓ you got the rain pant. Anything different about the rain pant you wanted to touch on? Same sort of thing as the down pants, a little adjustable. It's got a zipper fly. Does have a fly. The button on the front. Look at that. You still gotta pee when you got rank gear on Yeah, you want to go At least twice an hour. You're a little baby bladder. That's right. That's right. You gotta, you know what I mean? Gotta take a leak, even when it's raining. Yeah, you got ⁓ hip zips on it? Like all the way to the the hip. Yep, you can talk about it. pull that pull those pants out so you can see them. So you got a pocket? Front hip pocket? Front hip pocket. Was that you as well, Lorenzo? Did you ask for a front hip pocket? I'm I I like pockets on the Xbox. You like a pocket? Like I said, and it's deep enough. It's it's gonna be able to hold anything. That was another one where I was just like, Do you really need a a hip pocket? Do you need a pocket in ring gear? Yeah, I think you do. Release road can I think you do. Yeah, I don't know. I've got rain gear. So I remember thinking about this as we were in development and design. I've I've been elk hunting before in ring gear, and it typically does not have any exterior pockets. And it's like, where do I put my release? 'Cause I always carry my release in my hip pocket of my pants. So what I would end up having to do is I would have to open the hip zip up and I would have to reach my hand into my pocket on my pants and try to get my release. Yeah. This makes it way handier. So you have an external less movement, less cargo pocket where you can just put your release in it. Easier access. Or your phone if you're digiscoping or whatever it might be. So it just makes it a whole hell of lot easier to get to the stuff that you actually need. Yep, same reason on the downpans. Yep. And it does have sorry left handers. Yeah. Do you guys talk about rein reinforced backside? Same s similar thing on the rain jacket. Yeah, reinforced kick plates, reinforced backside. Yep, down bottom. Reinforced cross. Reinforce. It also has a little Button tab here so you can use that if you want to on the bottom. So they don't come unzipped. Yep. Another big thigh problem. Having this reinforced. Yeah. I've worn out reinforcement crop. A lot of pants right here. A lot of rub. What they call chub rub. A lot of rub right there. So that being reinforced, fantastic. And there is a little bit of stretch. No thigh gap, huh? No thigh. Zero thigh gap. Little bit stretch too on the waist to help with the fit. Yeah, easy on and off. And a little bit and again a little bit longer. Yeah, a little bit longer. So they go down over your boots when you're still. Yeah. I'm literally sitting there glassing with rain pants and they're ⁓ a Above my boots. And and above your pants too. Yeah. It's wearing wearing floods. Yeah. I mean that or capris. But that's the one that's supposed to be covering everything, not your pants going lower than that. So we talked about packability earlier in this. If you're watching again on YouTube, this is the rain jacket packed all the way up, which is I don't know, there's my cell phone next to it. It's basically two inches taller than the cell phone. Obviously, it can be compressed a little bit more, but it's Obviously it's not as thin as a cell phone, but you're but looking I don't know inch and a half by what's that, seven, eight inches? Yeah. Compactability. So you can easily fit this in a side pocket of your backpack rather than throwing it in the bottom of your backpack buried with everything else. Then when we do get that rainstorm, you can ha easily have this accessible to put on on those quick little rain swells. Mm-hmm. You guys like me too, where You see a rain rain cloud coming in, but you know your rain gear is on the very bottom and just like Buried. ⁓ yeah. You're like, ⁓ I don't it doesn't look that bad. I'm just not even gonna deal with it. I think some of the funniest moments ever is when you're you got a group of dudes, you're hunting elk and you're hiking along and you're like, Yeah, it looks like might not though. We're just gonna keep pushing it and keep pushing it, and then all of a sudden just shit hits the fan and everybody's just like scrambling to find their rain gear. And the reason why you didn't do it in the first place is because you just know it's at the bottom. Yeah. Just buried in everything else. Yep. Yep. Yeah, those are always really fun, those scrambles to get your rain gear on as quick as you can before. And you always know everybody pushes it right to the very last second. Yeah. And then you are wet. Yeah. You just gotta deal with it. A little bit. Yeah, anything else about Rein Gear? I think you pretty well covered it. Pretty well covered. I'm really happy with the fit. I'm really happy with the look of it. The fit is ⁓ is great, like I said. We're gonna have two different colors. So you're ⁓ gonna have ⁓ green green. The green, the two-tone green, and then the jacket and the pants. And then we're gonna also do a camo jacket. We do not have Although we've got a couple pair there, right? Yeah. Those are samples. Samples. I'm assuming those are samples because I think this initial run, we're just doing the green pant. But it is gonna do it go in our duck camo, frog camo as well. Yeah, so that you can get a full set if you want to in the future. But as of right now, you can either do camo jacket or green jacket and then the green pant. Yep. And of the two of the food I like the green. Backability. There you go. Rain pants, rain jacket. Ghost are watching, you can see that pretty much the same size. It's like a water bottle. Yeah, pretty much like an algae for the rain pant. Yep. cool. Any any other things you want to talk about those? We pretty well got ⁓ Pretty well got ⁓ on those. Again, I am stoked to get ⁓ out. Yeah. Spectrum's great, weight's great, durability's great. Everything ⁓ I would want in a ring jacket and a rain pant for a mountain hunting environment. Yeah. Like truly. Yeah. We didn't chase weight fully. We kept it in the back of our heads, but chased function more so than weight. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, we just know where we were willing to make allowances. Yeah. And that just comes from you years of using a bunch of different options on the market and knowing what didn't work and what did. Like we say, do one extra lunge in the gym. One extra squat. Curl. That's all you need. ⁓ okay, we also have other a couple other pieces ⁓ on the table here, which we can just talk about real quick. So we do have atmosphere jackets coming in two different new new colorways. So we've got an olive green that's coming right there. And then we also have the cambium. Camo is what I'm being told we're calling that. ⁓ it's a hard word to say. We should change the name of that camo. Yeah, it's kind of more of a foresty color, so you a deeper colour. Blacks and greens. Yeah, blacks, greens. And you can see the difference right here between the rain pan and then the cambium. I like I like that olive one. It's actually the olive one's great. Yeah, all one's sick. So we had an olive one floating around the office for exterior reference, which I was like, ⁓ that's sick until somebody unzipped it and the inside of it was like baby blue. Yep. Do you remember that one? I do remember that one. But this is the actual the f full fleshed out sample that I've seen. Like people talk about having hair on their feet. ⁓ Yeah, they say if you have like a lot of hair on your feet, just it's a it's a good indication that you have good circulation. I don't have a lot of hair on my feet. Yeah, me easy. Mine too. It's not good circulation. So down booties come in handy. ⁓ those are great for lace season hunts. And I like to peel my boots off, so I'll hike up to a glassing toy. around camp? ⁓ it's not the matter, to get your boots off and then Dude, you had a hard day. ⁓ it's great. Yeah, why carry a pair of crocs when you can carry down booties that serve multiple purposes? Way better. It's just way lighter. Yeah. You you peel off your yeah, peel off all your, you know, your layers and you put on your down. You got down jacket, down pants, down booties. Sit down and you eat a rehydrate your meal. It's great. Yeah, it it's look where I'm coming from with this, obviously I'm big into it. Not everyone is. However Hunters are hunters, right? And we should all be there for each other and we all know what's best for animals and what's not. But right now there's a bill or a a change floating around that they're gonna essentially take water from the prairie pothole region, which is a massive deal because that's where a very large majority of the duck population comes from. And that needs to be protected like full. Duck factory. Duck factory. Yeah, it is like A wildly high percentage. We're we're gonna do a bigger piece on this. I don't wanna get too into the details here on the podcast at the end of it, but it's a very big deal. It's all very shallow water as well. That's what ducks obviously like. They gotta be able to reach reach the food. ⁓ so any of the water that they're using to feed on and have their broods in so they can feed too is it's all very shallow. So even just the slightest amount of water change out of those potholes would be a very big deal. And I think that's what a lot of people don't understand. Is yes, it's a lot of water, it's a lot of ⁓ standing water, but they're very shallow. And it's a big deal to take any level of water from that and it would affect the duck population to a massive level. And August seventh is the deadline for comment and petition signing. And I highly suggest everyone search that and we'll put w I guess we could put a link probably in this in this YouTube video or anything that we do. ⁓ to go make public comment and to sign the petition. Yeah. ⁓ to protect it. So it's a very big deal. And where I'm coming from with this is whether you waterfowl or hunt or not, all hunters should be back and everyone at every around every corner right now. So if we can help waterfowl hunters, waterfowl hunters help big game when it we need something done, which they've ⁓ honestly done a good job of in places like Colorado. I the prop one twenty seven I had a lot of Colorado ⁓ waterfowl guides and outfitters. actually go show support there. So yeah, it's it's a big deal. And I would highly suggest everyone kind of come out of the woodworks and help protect that duck factory. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Well said. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I mean I'm not a duck hunter, but y It's a big deal. What water water is a it's a resource that is critical for every type of wildlife that whatever it is that you're interested in, whether it's you know, big game, white tail, mules slippery small, right? Like you start messing with water, it's it's a big deal. For sure. Very big deal. It's a big deal. So I would appreciate you two big guy ⁓ big game guys want to jump on that for us. Yeah.
