Sue: Abundance is a mindset. It's the awareness that I have I'm grateful for because perhaps they are crucial to my day-to-day survival. Having enough dried rice and beans to survive for a couple years. Having a safe house with a good roof over my head. Having a debt-free life. Admittedly, I don't really have any money in the bank, but having no debt for me is an abundance, particularly with the perspective I have from my history of carrying a lot of debt at one point in my life. It's the acknowledgement of gratitude for all of those things that seem to be ever present in your life and you can easily go days upon days without ever acknowledging them for the gifts that they are. I think a lot of that has to do with if you've not ever been homeless or been without food, you tend not to think about those everyday things that are around you as being abundance. They're just what you need to get by. It can go to the most basic of having air in my lungs. I also call that hope. The fact that you're alive is all that you need to figure out how to bring abundance into your life. You tend to focus your mind on those things when you don't have them, don't we? That's abundance when you can restore those needs. I'm abundant with a unlimited amount of unconditional love. I have abundance and self love. Self love for me is always showing up for myself. Not allowing others to gain the upper hand in what they think of as control over me in situations that are none of their business, frankly. You know those folks. Sometimes you elicit a question of what do you think I should do in this situation? And maybe this person that you ask this question is a trusted soul, and they tell you to forget about it or ugh seems too good to be true. Well, that's not what you want to hear, is it? Abundance is recognizing that those who tell you that don't have a place in your life. They're taking up room for things that otherwise should be a part of your life. There's no reason to have people in your life that are giving you advice that is not really for your best. But they'll put it in the the guise of this is just a cold hard truth, man. You shouldn't do this. It's all too good to be true. How can that be? And of course, you know. You have an inner knowing what the truth is. No need to ask anybody else. That can be a very strange, quiet, unsettling place, a vacuum, an absence of having others adore you for the decisions that you make. Because you fit into their mold of what they want for your life. Well they're not living your life. In the end, only you can stand up for you. What I've been through may not be the worst thing in the world to anybody else, if you want to compare or put me in competition. That's not fair either, but for the purposes of saying that all of that I have is abundance in my life. are things that are necessary, but not necessarily guaranteed of being in your life. It doesn't really matter what anybody else says. They may well feel insulted that you asked for their advice and now you recognize it's complete BS. Maybe there was a time, another occasion where you asked them for advice, and it seemed to align with what you thought was the way to go, only to find out, Mm no, I didn't work. Your abundance is yours. It's what you also consider to be abundance. It's not important what other people think. And if it means that you're the only one that's clued in as to what is truth in your life and the abundance that you have, well that's okay. What your abundance should be other than to comment, I know, I hear ya. It's hard to have the abundance of truth in you when there's no one to legitimately share it with. I also feel abundant in everything in my life because I've learned not to hold on so tight, to allow things to breathe, to flow. I might have a couple of months where I have enough income. Sitting in a bank account that gets me through another month, and then an emergency comes up and wipes it all out. Not holding on so tightly to those ideas is keeping me abundant. Doesn't mean that I'm asleep at the switch and allow money to go out of my account without my thinking about it, either. Abundance is definitely the mindset to perpetuate in your life by expressing gratitude. Your feeling of abundance increases because you no longer have the distracting energy of anxiety to confuse you. It's the mindset of having enough, losing it, and knowing that you can restore it. You just might not be able to restore it in the manner that you did previously, so you have to figure that out. Well that adds abundance into your life because it adds experience and different ways of doing things to get the same result. There are infinite ways to travel f between point A and B. At its simplest, if you have air in your lungs, you have hope, as I say, and you have love for yourself. How much more abundance do you need? Yeah, I know. food to eat and a roof over your head and a safe place to sleep. I understand. Doesn't mean that you're gonna be grumpy while that's going on, 'cause you're gonna allow your anxieties to undermine your abundance of having hope in your lungs and having a brain that functions to help you get through that situation. Why get in the middle and self sabotage yourself with worry and anxiety? I had a period of time in my life, decades ago, where I was carrying a lot of credit card debt and barely keeping up with it and I used to get calls from a debt collector who wasn't calling the right number, wasn't me that they were looking for, but nonetheless it was hard to get rid of them. Caused a lot of fear and anxiety for me. Because in the parallel world of things, yeah, I had a lot of debt. I was paying my bills on time, but having a debt collector call you erroneously and knowing that engagement with them wasn't really gonna help created an underlying sense of unease, to say the least. Nonetheless, I carried that truth within me. I knew they were wrong to do so. Rather than confront them, I let time pass, because reacting to something that's not belonging to you, trying to defend yourself in a situation where you didn't need to defend yourself from the day one, well that's confusion. That's chaos. That's an intentional energy that sows doubt. Doubt is not part of abundance. It's the knowing, the trust in yourself that while you might not have at this moment the answer to solve whatever is plaguing you. You got enough going on in your life to know you've got more than enough to get through it. And that it's going to be by yourself. It's not going to be your spouse to help you. It's not going to be your kids. It's not going to be your friends and neighbors and loved ones. It's you being accountable to you. Acting on your behalf. And yes, others around you may benefit when you get it done. Learning to trust myself when I was the only one that I could count on was daunting at first. How was I going to do this? How do I manage in the meantime to get through this? Confirmation. If you feel that you don't have abundance in your life at this moment, it's because you haven't put enough trust and love and faith in yourself. Dig deeper. Be accountable to yourself. No one else. That's abundance. ⁓ and it just might feel tough and difficult. Well, yeah, it is. But there's no reason for you to feel stress or anxiety about it. Why? Because you haven't spent enough time expressing gratitude. Okay, that's a simple fix. Open your mouth, speak. You'll feel better. That's abundance. And know that it there are gonna be times in your life where that abundance will wane, times in your life when that abundance will increase. Still abundance. And I'll get you started with the truth. I see you. You're not alone. You have everything you need to persevere and be accountable for all that you do for yourself. It's no different than putting the oxygen mask on in an airplane before you help others. Nor is it about eliminating people from your life always. Sometimes you got to. Sometimes you just didn't realize it at the time. But you allowed people into your life that now are appearing to be completely energy vampires, wanting to control you, wanting to be up in your business. Where are you going? What are you doing? Do you love me? Confirmation with that kid yell. You control you. I see you. Love you. That's abundance. When others see you for as you are and align, that's really abundance. You doubled your accountability right there in my view. Sometimes abundance is created when you get rid of all of those negative energies in the people around you that are not serving you. Well done. Make room for more abundance because I'm coming in to join you. Till then, thanks for listening.
